He is looking so handsome! He says he finally got some sleep, that last night the group had gone out to dinner but he was too tired so he decided to stay and get some rest so he's feeling much better this morning.

Funniest Walker scene to shoot? He has a lot of fun on that show, and he tries to make people laugh and keep the energy kind of light. There's a scene where they kind of introduce Cassie's character and during the scene he did something and heard the director and a few people in the video village start laughing, it was the bit where they're in Captain James office and Cassie says she doesn't control speed bumps and he looked at her and moved his chair away from her. So just kinda bits where Walker who is this heroic guy is kind of acting childish makes him laugh a lot. They have a good time, they say it's not a comedy but they hope people laugh. x

Is he going to be reunited with Matt Barr on Walker? He teases that we might see Matt again 👀👀👀👀 Says he loves Matt and that they're hanging out this summer as well, he's (Matt) getting married. x

Was it a stunt double during the part of the horse race for the ranch where Cordell's saddle snaps? He does a lot of the horse stuff but that was a stunt double. Chad Dashnaw his stunt double and stunt coordinator was the one to do it but Jared wanted to learn to do it so he offered to teach him how to do it; says he does a lot of the horse riding but the stunts he wanted to do it but because of insurance purposes they probably wouldn't have let him do it anyways in case something happened to his knee.

Was there ever a stunt that he has seen his stunt double do and he's been so grateful for having a stunt double, or vice versa that he's seen them do and wanted to do it? In Walker specifically the car crashes scare him cause imost of the stunts even though they look great on camera you kinda know what's about to happen, it's a dance. The stunt on Walker Independence, the one where his character drops from the horse, that looked like it hurt and he could see it in Chad's face but he did it again he thinks maybe two more times. But in general car accidents because you don't know what's gonna happen. They hope for the best, hope it goes where they want it and it never does they've had a few cars flips and thos- they have roll cages and all that but still he wouldn't want to be in that car, and they take all the combustible stuff out so it can't get punctured and blow up for real. He thinks it's also becasue of his car accident in April that he might have some PTSD when it comes to scenes like that 😭. x

He tends to sit a little differently on chairs, has he ever fallen off one on stage? On stage he hopes not, he can't think of when but he thinks it's just cozier for him to sit the way he does. x

What are three things he would take on a dessert island? He would want to read so he guesses he would take an Ipad so he could download a bunch of books, the crowd starts to chuckle and he's confused as to why until they point out he would need a charger so he says he would take two chargers 😆 He would take a solar charger and something to cook, pictures of loved ones, books, a charger and something to charge the charger with- he needs to think about it🤣 x

What would he advise to cope with the feeling of emptiness that comes when something you've been waiting for so long ends? There's a quote that he doesn't remember exactly but it's something like "don't be sad it ended be happy it happened". And they get a little sad too when the cons are over but the memories are still around so think of all the fun stuff you got to, and new friend that you've made. x

Was it on purpose to leave things open with his character on Walker Independence? And if there's someone walking around looking so much like Cordell surely he must be in Abby's family tree somewhere, is that something they tought about at all? They did think about it, they didn't know how incestous they wanted to be 😂

He does hope to be on Walker Independence again, that is the plan. x

When someone is possessed by a demon, and other didn't know, and he should get an anti possession tattoo what would happen? He thinks you have to trap the demon and exorcise it, ideally if you care about the person you don't wanna just stab them. x

Which version of Sam was the most challenging to play and which one was the most fun to play? He thinks soulless!Sam was the most fun for him to play but it was also the most daunting one for him to figure out what he was going to do cause it had never been done on the show. Most challenging would be Gadreel-Ezekiel because he had to do the transitions within a scene, soulless Sam was soulless from action to cut whereas when he was Sam and then he'd bust into angel form it was something different that he hadn't really done, he didn't know how it was gonna happen, and he hadn't seen the visual effects yet to know that he'd have some help but that it was a lot of fun. x

Does he have any intel he could share about wether the CW is going to continue with scripted tv and if not does he have alternate plans about other platforms he could use? He doesn't know. The new leadership of the CW has announced that it's kind of changing directions he doesn't know what that direction will be; he's been proud to be with CW since day one, he and Jensen pre-dated the CW so it's been an honor to call the CW his home for the last 17yrs. If he was born a couple hundred years ago he'd be the court jester is he doesn't make the King laugh off with his head so he's grateful to have lived the life he's lived and meet the friends he's met, and travelled the places he's travelled by playing pretend, it's a blessing and he's grateful for it everyday. So if the CW does go a different direction and thinks it's no longer the home for a show like Walker and Walker Independence they do have other options. But that's up to the CW it'd be an honor to keep calling it home, that he's been the only person whose been number one on the call sheet of a CW show every time there's a new episode airing every week for 17yrs so he'd love that to carry on, that it'd be an honor.

And he has talked to some of the new people at the CW, and talked to long time friends who are no longer at the CW and they say the people who replaced us are wonderful and kind and they really want this to work and they want it to be profitable so that it makes sense. That it is anxiety inducing but whatever happens happens. x

Is there something he can share about the SPN Christmas episode?He loved the episode and he remembers filming it,and of course spiking Jensen eggnog, that they had a great time. He thinks they shot it around October, which around October in Van is possibly his favorite time of year in any city he's ever been to, it starts to get into fall, and there's a smell in the air and the city's so beautiful so it felt kind Christmas-y because it was cooler and it's kind of like this great holiday feeling while shooting which doesn't happen often so that was nice. They had a good time, and s3 was a strange time for them as well because they were starting to introduce characters that didn't ultimately stay or in the case of one character they stayed but in a different body, so it felt markedly different than seasons 1 and 2. And it was nice, it felt like they were finding their groove, seasons 1 they didn't know what the show was gonna be yet and season 2 they kinda added some characters and they were still trying to figure out what was working and what wasn't, and where they were gonna go with the show if it kept going.

There were a few things that happen in a third season back in the day, you would kinda go if a show has gone on for three seasons and it's staying strong then it makes sense that it'll go on for a fourth and so there was a feeling of confidence that they could go like 'all right, well we must be doing something right and hopefully they want us to keep doing it'. It was a good time in his life. x

Can we get your review of Walker 3x03 please ? What did you think of the way they portrayed PTSD in the writing and the actors acting?

It is testimony to how good a show is when I didn’t notice there was no case this week.  Cordell bahavior upon his return is polar opposite to the pilot episode; he didn’t avoid the homecoming dinner and instead dives right into it with manic energy and gives a graduation speech to Stella, signaling that he wants to erase the past 48 hours and pick up from before he was kidnapped on Stella’s graduation day.  The speech is going well until his hand starts bleeding from under a bandana.  Putting a band aide over a wound doesn’t heal the wound nor stop the trauma and it metaphorically bleeds out to the rest of the family and his colleagues: Liam is so desperate to talk to Cordell about their shared trauma that he invites himself to Cordell’s roadtrip plan with his children, Cassie belatedly realizes how dangerous her job is and doesn’t feel safe when Cordell is easily distracted at unpredictable times by triggers, Stella and August doesn’t come clean about the Mustang because they’re afraid it will break the dam and send Cordell spiraling.  Teenager's worlds are small and they feel their actions have dire consequences.  

Stella to Cordell: “After you were taken, college seems so small.”

Stella and August’s preoccupation with not stressing out their father led them to extreme behavior.

Colton to Stella & August: “I'm amazed the lengths you two have gone.  We're talking about grand theft auto.  Like, what won't you guys do for your dad.”

August: Well, you haven't seen him this summer.

Cordell finds out his children’s shenanigans and while very angry with them, it doesn’t break the dam as they fear it would and it gives them enough confidence to have a heart-to-heart talk and Cordell realizes how he handled his trauma wasn’t wholly effective because everybody took his lead by not talking and in the process, shut down their feelings and put aside their issues for the sake of “the equilibrium”, as Abaline said.  He promised Stella that he will figure this out, the same promise he gives to Cassie when she drops by with cake.

Like the Walker family, Cassie also held back from having a real conversation with Cordell because she thought it would be “selfish” on her part to make torture that Cordell endured to be about her, meaning her concern for her own safety.  She also is likely feeling guilt because it was her case that brought the kidnapper’s attention to Cordell.  So Cassie put aside her own feelings for months until she couldn’t anymore and communicated her concern to Cordell.

People don’t always handle things the “right” way.  Cordell has rarely handled his PTSD the “right way”, starting when he self-exiled at the start of season 1 which progressed to avoidant attachment, inconsistent caregiving; in season 2 it was difficulties sleeping, flashbacks, mistrust of others, and yelling at August, and now avoidance in season 3.   The show does a pretty good job showing that Cordell isn’t always aware that some of his actions are result of his trauma.  Cordell seems to live in constant fear that everyone knows what happened to him and now thanks to Julia’s article, they have a very good idea.  He then does what many do: he pushes down his feelings and hides them from others in an attempt to look well-adjusted and emotionally stable.  It’s a coping mechanism that worked well for him in the cage, so he sees no issue with applying it to life.

Avoidance is a common symptom of PTSD.  They avoid situations and reminders of their trauma in order avoid triggers.  Unfortunately for Liam, he’s a walking talking trigger for Cordell and why he avoids talking to Liam.  Worse, Cordell is the only person that Liam wants to talk to, and it sends Cordell into more avoidance spiral.  Now Liam feels that he is emotionally cut off from not only Cordell, but the rest of the family until finally Bonham (after being prodded by Abby) steps in.

Same trauma can look different in different people.  Every person with PTSD is different.  What’s one person’s issue and causes are not someone else’s.   Just like people do not all grieve all at once equivalently, even if they all suffer the same loss.   What triggers one is not the problem for someone else even if they were in the same situation.  Suddenly the Walker family found themselves with 2 men with PTSD but very different triggers and opposing needs.  They decide to Cordell’s lead, perhaps out of guilt for their mishandling back in season 1.  The family adopts the same avoidance technique as Cordell because at least they know his trigger.  I don’t know what’s Liam’s trigger and it seems neither he nor the family knows either?  Maybe that’s the main reason why they’re following Cordell’s lead.

Even though Cordell is in therapy, and I assume Liam is too, neither character is asking for help and that only compounds their symptoms.   Avoiding trauma-related thoughts or feelings, including each other, is a very realistic behavior of survivors. They might see this as protective, as Cordell does, but it is actually a symptom that needs to be further explored.  Realistically, too, part of why Cordell does not talk to Liam is that he also blames himself.  Liam was taken because Cordell refused to break under his captors.

I expect this PTSD arc to last several episodes, but Cordell isn’t and won’t be defined by his PTSD because he doesn’t owe much to his illness beyond its symptoms.  His overall personality was defined before the trauma(s) that disabled him.  The healing process is not a linear, step-by-step checklist and I suspect that Cordell doesn’t just have PTSD, he also has complex PTSD because it started in his childhood when he was framed for murder at age 14.  It may explain why he was a “hellraiser in high school”.  Cordell was able to excel in the marines and then the rangers because he already developed skills to deal with the unknown, in other words, the past trauma serves as a skill set of its own.  It’s like how some people at the start of the pandemic didn’t struggle with worsening anxiety or depression like a lot of people because the former was already functioning with a baseline of stress that was completely throwing others.  Mental illness doesn’t make define people.  Beyond the physical and mental symptoms, most people are the same people they were before the trauma. 

My score: 9 out of 10.

Cordell has been home for a while now. Liam got him situated in the farmhouse that Mom and Dad finished up in his absence. Ideally, the kids will be moving in there with him one day. For now, they’ll stay at the main ranch house with everyone else.

August was the first one to break the silence on this issue. “Can we see him? Now that he’s home, I mean.”

“Uh, well….”

“It’s a yes or no question,” Stella snapped. “Can we see our dad or not?”

Liam sighed. “You can, just not right now. Your dad needs time to…decompress first. You can see him when he’s ready.”

“Well, when will he be ready then?” Stella asked.

“I’m not sure.” It was the most honest thing Liam had told them since Cordell went dark. “He…. He’s just not in a good place right now. He’ll bounce back eventually. We just need to give him time.”

“How much time? What’s even wrong with him?”

“He’s just dealing with a lot right now. I don’t know how much longer it will be. Just…. Be patient, okay?”

Stella huffed and got up. “Whatever. Come on, Auggie. We’re gonna be late for school.”

His mother watched the kids storm out and turned to him. “They deserve to see their father,” she started

“Not like this,” Liam cut in. “Cordi- He’s not who he used to be. He doesn’t talk. He barely eats. He barely sleeps. He has a hand tremor.  He- he’s not in his right mind most of the time as far as I can see.” Not that Liam ever really knew what was going on in his head. “I know they want to see him and I know he wants to see them too but- I don’t want them to see him like this. Maybe when he’s better….” The If he ever gets better went unspoken.

“Maybe you should explain that a little better than,” Bonham cut in. “He’s their father. Doesn’t he deserve to see his kids.”

“When they can see him without being traumatized, I’ll think about it,” Liam snapped back. “I just- I get it. I do. I know they want to see each other and live together again but…. I just don’t think they can deal with Cordi the way he is now. And he needs to be able to focus on getting better without worrying about how they’re coping with it. Keeping them apart is the best thing for them for now.”

That’s what Liam was going to keep telling himself anyway.

It had been almost a month since he came home and Cordell was used to being alone at this point. Liam was the only one that came to visit him (though it seemed weird to call it a visit since they were all living on the same property) and that was mostly after work, sometimes in the morning if it was a weekend. 

He always asked Liam when Stella and August would start coming over but his brother kept brushing him off with one excuse or another about homework or ‘adjustment periods’. Cordell didn’t need to be a mind-reader to know Liam was lying through his teeth. He knew why Stella and August weren’t coming over. Liam probably didn’t want them to see him like this.

But he needed to see his kids. He needed to hold them and hug them and know that they were okay and that they didn’t hate him. Was that too much to ask?

All that to say, he was very surprised when he heard the front door to the house unlock without Liam’s usual telltale greeting.

“Hello? Dad? Are you up?”

Stella?

Cordell dashed to the entryway and was greeted with the sight of not one but two children. His children.

He wanted to say something. He couldn’t, but he so badly wanted to. He settled for holding out his arms to catch them in a hug.

For the first time in a long time, the thought of human touch didn’t terrify him. It had been far too long since he held his children in his arms. He held them tight, relishing in the fact that he was home and his children were here and they were all safe.

After a few minutes of just silent hugging, Stella and August pulled away. Cordell managed to keep a hold on their shoulders and led them to the living area so they could sit and talk. Well, sit and communicate.

“Are you okay, Dad?” August asked, brow furrowed in concern.

Cordell shrugged and scanned the coffee table for the notepad he used to “talk”. He grabbed it once they were all sitting on the couch and tried not to let their confusion bother them. He wondered what Liam had told them about him. I’m as okay as I can be right now. And I’m so happy to see you two.

Stella’s eyes flicked between the notepad and his face. “... You can’t talk?”

Well, that answered one question. I guess your Uncle Liam didn’t tell you much about my condition?

Stella shook her head. “He’s not telling us anything. He just keeps saying that you need time to ‘decompress’ and that he’ll let us see you when you’re ‘ready’.”

August bit his lower lip. “....You’re never going to be ready enough for Uncle Liam, are you?”

Cordell shook his head. I think I’m too broken for that.

“You’re not broken! You’re just- You’re different. And that’s okay. You’re still- You’re our dad. That’s not going to change. Ever.” The fire in Stella’s eyes was as comforting as it could be frightening. “We still want to live with you. We miss you.”

Cordell swallowed hard and blinked back some very proud tears. It won’t be easy. I’m different in a lot of ways. I don’t talk. I have a hard time sleeping. I react badly to loud noises. Eating is hit or miss. I dissociate a lot and I don’t react well to unexpected touches. I want to live with you too but I understand if this is too much for you.

“It won’t be,” August promised. “It won’t be easy but…. We’ll learn. You’re seeing a therapist, right? Can we talk to them? They can help us figure it out, right?”

He nodded. Micki would definitely be on board with helping and she wouldn’t sugarcoat it for any of them. I can ask her if she can sit down with all of us and advise us on that. He hoped she would. He wanted this so badly, and he could tell the kids did too.

“Stella?! August?!” Liam burst through the back door. “Cordi have you seen-” He stopped and stared when he saw them sitting on the couch together. “Oh. There you are.”

August smiled sheepishly while Stella just glared at him.

Liam coughed awkwardly. “Uh, Cordi, can we talk? Alone?”

“No,” Stella said before he could respond. “You wanna say something, say it to all of us.”

Liam pressed his lips into a thin smile. “Alright. Well, first of all, you two could’ve left a note. Or told someone where you were going.”

“None of you would’ve let us come over if we told you,” August muttered.

“Second,” Liam continued, not acknowledging his nephew, “There’s a reason I didn’t want you coming over here yet. I’ve told you, your dad’s just not ready.”

Cordell glowered at Liam, who suddenly turned to face him. “You should’ve turned them away. Or at least let me know where they were.”

Cordell picked up his notepad. Sorry my excitement over seeing my kids for the first time in almost a year was inconvenient for you.

Liam set his jaw. “Well, you’ve had your family time. It’s time to go back.”

“Fine,” Stella snapped. “But we’re coming back again.”

“No, you’re not. Not until your father-”

“He is ready!” Stella argued. “And so are we. We can start living together and-and help him! We want to!”

“That’s not for you to decide,” Liam said sternly. “Come on, it’s time for both of you to come help Mawline with dinner. Now.”

Stella glared but otherwise stayed silent as Liam led them out of the house. Cordell thought the house had never felt lonelier than it did after they left.

“Honey, let me help.”

Cordell let go of the folded clothes his mother apparently thought he couldn’t handle putting away by himself.

He knew she cared. He knew she was just trying to help. He knew she thought she was doing the right thing. He was still irritated at her hovering mother henning.

After the incident when Stella and August snuck over to see him, Liam had allowed their parents to start making visits if they wanted but the kids were on lockdown. Cordell appreciated getting to see his parents again, of course he did. He just wished it didn’t come with the same obvious overbearing judgment that Liam held.

“Have you eaten anything today? Let me make you some lunch.”

I’m not hungry he couldn’t say. I can barely stomach toast most days. I probably won’t be able to eat whatever you’re making. She probably wouldn’t listen to him even if he could say it.

He was starting to miss the quiet of an empty house.

His mother took over the kitchen and sent him to the living room to wait. So, he sat on the couch and waited as instructed. Nevermind that he could make his own lunch or at least help. Yes, his hand tremor made it difficult for him to hold a knife but he could stir a pot or set out ingredients or something.

Oh well.

He sat on the couch and waited. As he waited, his mind wandered. And wandered. And wandered.

The thing about his dissociation episodes is that he couldn’t really control or predict when they happened. One moment he would feel perfectly fine, the next he’d realize hours had passed and he hadn’t moved or drank water for any of it without even realizing. This wasn’t like “zoning out” in class or daydreaming in the office. Being so completely out of it that he was unaware of his own body, let alone the rest of the world, was scary. Especially so when it took him a while to “come back” to awareness. Micki said it was likely a holdover survival technique his brain developed when he was in captivity and that it would lessen over time as he started to heal and realize he was safe at home. He didn’t see that happening anytime soon but he trusted her.

The biggest trouble with his episodes was that it was pretty much impossible for anyone to tell he was in one. Aside from Micki, that is. Which led to trouble.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and he abruptly stood up, pushing the person away.

He didn’t realize who it was until he heard his mother cry out.

He stared at her dumbly. She stared back with wide eyes that held more than a hint of fear. His mouth formed around an apology that wouldn’t come out.

“I…. I’ll be outside,” she said eventually. “Your lunch is on the counter. Eat all of it, please.”

The door slammed shut behind her, and Cordell wondered if maybe his brother was right after all.

Liam was a little surprised when Micki insisted on meeting the entire family, but perhaps he shouldn’t have been. Abeline was happy to invite her to dinner and get to know the woman that was putting her son back together.

Dinner was a cordial affair with polite conversation, all of them avoiding the topic of Cordell’s condition. Liam wanted that to last a little longer, preferably the whole evening. But he should’ve known Micki had a reason for wanting to come over in the first place.

“That was a lovely dinner, Mrs. Walker.”

“Call me Abby.”

Micki smiled. “Abby then. Now, I hate to kill the mood but there’s something important we need to talk about regarding Cordell’s treatment.”

Silence fell over the table, none of the Walkers knowing quite how to react. Micki took it in stride; she was probably used to having conversations like this.

“I’ve been talking with Cordell about how he’s settling in and I think we need to make some adjustments. The first of which is that Liam can’t be the only one dictating his schedule and who’s allowed to see him.”

Liam clenched his jaw. “I’m trying to do the right thing for my brother.”

“I’m sure you are. But Cordell feels…unheard. It’s going to be a lot harder for him to adjust and recover if he doesn’t have a say. You can’t just lock him inside until he’s ‘fixed’. Isolation like that actually has a good chance of making his condition worse. I understand that wasn’t your intention, and that’s why I wanted to have this meeting now. I think it’s important that everyone is on the same page as far as what Cordell needs for his recovery.”

“Well, what would you recommend then?” Liam asked, unable to stop a note of irritation from slipping in.

“I think we need to look at creating a timeline for Stella and August to start living with him.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Abby cut in. “We’ve been testing things out with him and…. I’m not sure he’s ready.”

“Maybe he isn’t. Or maybe he is and the rest of you just need better education on how to live with him. Cordell wants to live with him, and I understand they want to make that move too.” Micki glanced at the kids for confirmation and they nodded. “I think this could be beneficial for Cordell and give him a good goal to work toward. It’s not going to happen overnight; I need to work with him on communicating his needs and Stella and August need to learn how to deal with his condition so they don’t accidentally trigger him.”

“And you’re sure this is a good idea?”

Micki cut Liam a look. “You don’t?”

“I’m just not sure he’s ready for that.”

“As his therapist, I think he is. You’re welcome to disagree but, seeing as I know a little more about trauma recovery than you do, I’ll be taking the lead on what is or isn’t good for his treatment. Is that okay with you?”

Liam nodded. He couldn’t argue with that. “Sure. We’ll give it a shot.”

He just hoped she knew what she was doing.

For people who love the action-y plot lines, promos feel like we finished everything but a hint at next year's big bad. Last week's promo said we'd get Hoyt's daughter and Geri's return. So I basically tuned in for Matt Barr, not the story. (Well, Matt Barr and some excellent hugs) Next week has half the ep as a spa date for the ladies. So I'll tune in for the half with Cordell's ptsd. (Love Abilene, but a spa day?) Finally the wedding. I mean, all good stuff, but NOT the action-y bits I love.

I do also love the action parts, mostly because we get to see competent Cordell. I wouldn't mind a bit more Ranger action and a bit less family drama, but that's a personal preference.

As for the finale, I think there will still be something to shock us. Look at the S1 and S2 finales. Shows often pull out all the stops to either end on a high-note or a cliff-hanger. In fact, the synopsis was so short, I'm fairly certain they're leaving a whole lot of stuff out:

SEASON FINALE – It’s a big day for the Texas Rangers and the Walker clan as friends and family gather to celebrate a very special event. 

I could be wrong, but I also think there was still a question lingering as to who was ultimately in charge of Grey Flag. If that's the case, I'm guessing 3.17 will be the calm before the storm (make viewers think everything is alright), and the finale will have Grey Flag (and possibly Cooper's) return with a big action-packed showdown.

The way that Jared was able to change his eyes when he was soulless!Sam. His look is cold and calculating. You can literally see it in his eyes. The fact that Jared did that is just so amazing. This man is just so incredibly talented as an actor, I will never get over it. You can see how much Sam doesn’t care that Dean is so happy to see him, that Sam doesn’t feel anything, and how much he’s Sam but not Sam.

You can literally see all of that in just looking at his face. Jared did that. Jared.

I don’t want to hear these wannabe fans talking about how Jared stopped caring about the show after a few seasons, or that he shows up on set just to read his lines and that’s all he does. I hate seeing all these people say that Jared doesn’t care about Sam or about the show itself. I hate the fact that these people blatantly ignore that Jared is the one that played into Sam’s PTSD from the Cage because he felt like they were wronging Sam somehow.

Jared comes up with all these fantastic ideas. Jared felt that Sam had PTSD and did research on it to incorporate it into his acting as Sam. Jared is the one who flinches as Sam when Dean throws his temper tantrums and starts breaking shit. Jared did all that so goddamn well and you tasteless grapes refused to acknowledge that because you hate him so much for absolutely no fucking reason.

He carried Sam’s PTSD all the way from season 6 through season 15; he never forgot. Jared cares so much about Sam Winchester, it’s unbelievable. Sam has been flinching at the smallest sounds since he got his soul back, but thanks for noticing.

There is no one who cares more about Sam Winchester than Jared Padalecki. Well, Dean is up there in the caring about Sam department, but Sam is so goddamn important to Jared. But for any of you waxless bowling alleys to have the nerve to say that Jared doesn’t care is actually fucking ridiculous. How dare you undermine that man’s phenomenal acting. Jared is talented and passionate. He gives all he’s got to his roles, and I don’t just mean Sam. He cares so much. He loves what he does. He loves giving these characters his all. He doesn’t half-ass anything. When Jared is in, he’s in. He’s in it for the long haul and he played Sam so fucking amazingly from season 1 episode 1 all the way through to season 15 episode 20. 327 episodes that Jared did spectacularly, thank you very much. And he’s going to do the same with Cordell Walker, for however long that runs for.

Now get your nasty ass hate for Jared out of the Jared tags and go focus on your favorite guest star’s new role in.........

Walker and Micki along with the others about to ‘’plan’’ the new raid so they can cover the missing 300K, walker being stressed about the August situation, shaking his hand and visibly trembling, MICKI HOLDING HIS HAND TO GROUND HIM SOMEONE TAKE ME AWAY I AM D E C E A S E D. THAT SO VERY TINY SCENE MOVED ME SO MUCH SHUT UP I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM.

WHY IS GERI SELLING THE BAR I REALLY LIKE IT! SIDESTEP SHOULD REMAIN P L E A S E. ALSO HOYT RAWLINS IS COMIGN BACK OMG OMG OMG I LOVE HIM OK YEEEEE!!! And um Liam and James investigating Emily’s murder...........without informing Walker.........that’s gonna go well.....AND HELLO WHAT DO THEY FIND??? IK SOMEONE ON THE INSIDE IS INVOLVED OK. 

Micki’s mom is coming in this ep! I wanna see how that one plays out since we know they don’t have the best relationship. *sighs* parents :)

Hoyt is still alive, and he and Geri are together, but Geri and Cordell cheated (not ongoing, just the once)

Cordell still has drama with the kiddos because he stayed a soldier (marine? Sorry, I’m blanking) for longer, and so he’s still been "absent" dad. He’s has serious PTSD, so he didn’t want to bring it "home" to the house, around the kids, and he goes to sleep at Geri's once or twice, and bonds with Geri. But, he did love Emilie, so now has extra guilt about her dying.

August is getting into illegal shenanigans with Hoyt because he’s lacking a father figure, so Hoyt took him under his wing, because Liam was busy managing his own life like a boss.

Micki (or Cassie) meets Cordell when they pick up Auggie for illegal activity.

Also, Cordell slips into a dissociative fugue from his PTSD from war and guilt over his family situation, so we still get Duke. He meets Trey when he seeks some counseling in a support group.

Sorry, this wouldn’t likely fit it one episode. Maybe it could ba a two or three part one?
