ive been seeing a lot of posts about how martyn isnt and never was loyal or trust worthy and (while i cant speak for other seasons) i have to say, in my opinion:

i dont think martyn betrayed scott in limited life. at all.

more than once this season, scott made it very clear that he didnt mind dying or being killed-- on his own terms. and thats the important part! he asked martyn to kill him once because he was tired of running from the inevitable and he wanted the time to at least go to his closest ally.

it wasnt being killed for time that he had a problem with, it was having the time taken against his will.

he literally said "my own mean gill- and i wouldnt have had it any other way" because you know what the other option was? winning. dying to the narrative. to the watchers. whether by their timer or by a /kill command.

do you really think thats what he wanted? no. winning once was an act of spite and defiance, but winning again would just be playing along with their games.

martyn took scott out on their own terms. he wasnt betraying scott as much as he was just ending the game.
