Suddenly remembering the best and funniest Good Omens fanfiction I ever read which was set at a mutual Heaven and Hell "work party" and all the demons had bets to see who could bed an angel by the end of the night. It was hilarious and of course you read it presuming that Crowley will win but be gentlemanly enough to not claim the prize - which of course is what happens, but at the last minute it hits you around the face by revealling that Beelzebub hooked up with Gabriel
and well.
I think I'm gonna go reread that fic...

"Oh! If only she wasn't a cop," Amanda sighs endlessly as if she wasn't an infamous pig herself.
Perez did eventually confess to joining the forces for health insurance to fund her transition. Amanda then introduces her to the wonders of DIY HRT.
It's good to find somebody who gets you

naegirigami shippers are so often afraid of kyoko and byakuya loving each other as they love makoto. is it because they cant fit into the conventional relationship dynamic that they can with makoto? is it because theyre so fixated on the idea of makoto being the glue that ties everyone together that they can't fathom that kyoko and byakuya can have a relationship that also stands up on its own? is it because one of them is really just a side bitch and there's only focus upon makoto and one other in the relationship? or do they really just ship makoto with both of them individually.

Imma be honest I usually hate posting about my own works because I get embarrassed immediately afterwards BUT. And this is a big but. I really want to share this !! Because I've been planning (and now writing!!!!!!! Yippee!!!) a little (not little) book inspired by the Temeraire series. But with pirates!!!! And also privateers, theyre one of my favourite history tidbits
(I have not written many book blurbs before so this a new one for me)
Set in the early 1700s, amid the Golden Age of piracy, Timor tells the tale of a pirate captain caught in strange tides. When the Delight, captained by Jean Linsey, captures and raids a merchant ship, her crew finds something peculiar in the hold: the remnants of a dragon's egg, with no hatchling to be found.
The men are curious; their anxieties are short-lived, for as they draw from the raided ship, they find themselves struck by the presence of a dragonet — It has ravaged the deck, and could only be the mysterious missing hatchling.
The young dragon is thin, and by all assumptions a feral beast; it must be caught, and is restrained in the ship's hold. To his shock Linsey finds that the dragon is not only intelligent, but bonds with him almost immediately, setting the course for a whole new chapter of his life.
The dragon, he names Timor, after the Australian sea -- but while they navigate the course of their strange circumstance, Linsey finds it is not so easy to captain a dragon as it is a ship, for below the waves of the Atlantic, something monstrous is near…
(Or, to summarise, pirate captain Jean Linsey is forcefully adopted by a large stray cat, who is also a dragon, and immediately has the worst few months of his life)

You know.
At school I had a game with my friend
I would write down names of characters from different media (TV shows, books etc) that she hadn't watched and she would match them
Usually I put the girls and the boys on each side of the page (non binary characters were either at the top or bottom)
And then she drew lines and made ships
Now the thing is. She hardly ever got canon ships right
Her worst cases were close to pedophilia and incest
So at some point she gave up trying to get them right and was more happy when she was creating monstrosities cause it was funny
And I think, the writers of Elite are playing the very same game
They started by making fun ships "hoho look at these characters they look good together" then they messed up "hehe these 2 are awful" and then they went bullshit and thought "YEAH MAKE THE MOM KISS HER SON MUAHAHA"
And yeah. I don't think you should make canon ships of the matching game me and my friend played in class yknow Mr elite writes

So I started a reread of ASOIAF, going for one chapter per day, but I read the appendix of AGOT first...
George, hey George, why are you giving us so much info on the household of the Tyrells, considering only Loras shows up in the first book?
Like, who the hell are Igon Vyrwel and Vortimer Crane? Moryn Tyrell hasn't even shown up despite the two chapters in Oldtown, and I believe Garth the Gross has only been mentioned.
Had some plans for Highgarden and Oldtown all the way back in '96, perhaps?
