My freshman year of high school I was in a bunch of advanced classes and the third week my lung randomly collapsed and I was on a respirator for 3 days and missed a little over a week of school but anyways my English teacher didn’t read the email of why I had been missing school and so behind and she told me in front of the whole class that if I can’t keep up with my course work she could have me transferred to the easier class and that I probably belonged there but the steroids I was on to make my lungs stronger made me so emotional that I burst into tears and then apparently my whole class sent complaints to the principal without my knowledge and then that English teacher got fired and now she’s in jail for armed robbery and I kinda feel like it’s my fault bc she lost her teaching job and she was only mean the 1 time to me

Finally did the, well, the less goofy comic that I was planning to finish, haha.

So I remembered that cremation was not a common practice back in the day as it would hinder the body from being "resurrected" on judgment day (it's some very weird Christian belief, no clue about Puritans, though). And while it would make sense for Philip to choose for his brother's body to burn as some form of punishment for his betrayal (and also kinda parallel the witch burnings during the middle ages or the purification process of purgatory) it would also make sense to save the body from the fire. Y'know. Not accidentally damaging the ingredients for a potential grimwalker. Or he just actually wanted to give his brother a proper burial (maybe he didn't know about grimwalkers yet, idk).

Though Philip would really need to hope that wittewife won't show up soon enough to kick his ass. Hiding a body takes some time after all, giving wittewife all the time needed to catch up to them.
