Now you might be asking, “En, why did you match me with this man?” well, there a couple of reasons. The first one is because you told me a few hours ago “as long as you don’t match me with the odd boar man, it’ll be okay.” While I do think the boar man is your soulmate, Sanemi is another good fit. Sanemi and you would have a wonderful banter established with a lot of play fighting but also a lot of support. Y’all are the types to be strong enough to deal with each other’s bs - and if that’s not love I don’t know what is.

Note to anyone who chooses to read this matchup :know that this shouldn’t be taken seriously LMAO I'm an anime only and know little of Sanemi so far! But I love him SO MUCH AHHH

You’d meet Sanemi at the main estate where the head of the demon slayers live. Let’s say you were a demon slayer who was travelling with the main characters, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke (the boar man). You’d get pulled to the main estate with them. When there, you heard about how Sanemi did some crazy things to your little friend Nezuko (just like, stabbing her in front of her brother) and you were like “that’s so much.”

Your next thought was “who the fuck does this man think he is?” From there you swore you’d hate him and you’d square up with him on SIGHT. You were ready to throw verbal insults when you saw him.

He was casually in the Butterfly Estate (where you and the boys were resting to recover) and when you saw him, you just gave him a lookTM. He obviously didn’t take well to being sassed with his eyes, so he asked if you had a problem. And he was surprised when you said yes, said “You’re an ass,” and then you walked away. His eyes went wide and he was ready to throw a sarcastic comment back but you were already gone.

The next time he and you met was in the midst of battle. You were holding off a bunch of demons but accidentally injured your ankle, leaving you in the path of danger. That was when he came swinging in, taking all the demons out, and went to pick you up.

“Do I seem like some damsel in distress to you? I don’t need saving!”

“You don’t? Fine then.” He drops you (yes drops you) and walks away. Out of nowhere, another demon charges in to attack you, and while you prepare for the worst, the demon is beheaded before you realize it.

“Be stubborn later.” He picked you up and smirked a bit as you make a face but don’t reject his offer.

You met him a few days later, once again at the Butterfly Estate while you were healing up. But this time when you passed by him, you stopped him and said, “Hey, I just wanna say I do appreciate you saving me.”

“That’s not what you said the first time we met.”

“Well I still think you’re an ass.”

He scoffed, “Next time I’ll leave you to the demons,” before storming off again.

While you weren’t hesitant to tell him off to his face, you had to admit you did appreciate his muscles the way he saved you. So maybe you could be a little bit nicer to him. Only a little.

He heard of you next when he got a message that his brother was hurt and saved by another member of the corps - that member being you. He contemplated sending his messenger crow to thank you, but then he decided it was a weird thing to want to do, so he just went to go visit his healing brother. Luckily for him, you were there again.

“Are you always injured or…?” He asked when he saw you.

“Funny, because you’re here every time I am too, SO-”

“Brother, are you flirting?”

“Why the fuck are you out of bed? You were weak enough to get injured, and now you have the guts to talk back? Idiot.” Sanemi ripped into his younger brother on the spot before storming off. You ran into him later, and asked him about it. You saw what was going on.

“You care for him, you can admit that, right?”

“What?” He was taken aback.

“I’m the same way with my brothers -except, well, I’m not as… rough I guess. But all little brothers are dumb. But I know you do that outta love.”

You gave a small smile before leaving him be.

Let’s just say you left him a little shocked. He didn’t expect for someone to get it (even if you were skeptical of his method).

You two then got close when you were deployed on the same mission. It was full of a lot of back and forth ‘fighting’ which was banter. But you both agreed you loved hating on Giyuu (the love of my life who you said had a long face >:( ) and it was an odd bonding point for you two.

You found yourself becoming fond of the explosive and skilled man. And as he spent more time with you, listened to your random stories, and realized he saw eye to eye with you (even though you were better at expressing your thoughts), he developed a soft spot for you.

Settling down as a demon slayer was a tough thing to do. And yet, as he finished his mission with you, he realized he didn’t want you to be in anymore danger - and that he’d like to protect you as well.

He wouldn’t really ask you out. Like, it was such an odd thing for him to do. But when another demon slayer was being very flirty with you, he found himself getting ready to fight. Luckily you beat him to the punch by turning down the man.

He asked you why you did.

“Wasn’t interested in being with him.”

“...What about me? Are you, uh… interested in being with me?” He wasn’t used to saying stuff like that at ALLLL.

You’d look at him and go, “I’ll give it a go.”

In a relationship, Sanemi would find you to be surprisingly supportive. You were so good at validating his feelings and actions ( you were his lovely enabler). But you weren’t afraid to question his impulsive decisions, and he came to respect that, too. You were a respectable partner.

You on the other hand would probably appreciate the care he has to give. While he wasn’t a himbo, he had the heart of one. He was surprisingly caring, good at remembering small details, and very observant of your state of being. Though he would never say anything, he’d show it all through his actions. He’d bring you your favorite food, and would always listen to all your crazy mission stories.

He’d even manage to go with you to one of the sports events of the time. Though he didn’t know what was going on, he loved the way your face lit up when you were angry at the players, engaging with the plays, and just overall so lively. He thought it was so fun to see that side of you.

He’d also open up to you about his relationship with his brother. While it was tough, he enjoyed knowing you had his back and continued to share with you. You were a good listener.

When on longer missions apart, you’d send your crows to send updates to one another just to make sure the other was okay.

All in all y’all have a funny banter filled relationship that also was very supportive and soft. It may have started off with you two being enemies, but it ends with lovers HEHE my favorite

Gojo Satorou!!

Many people struggle to keep up with Gojo, but as someone who had similar views as him, he was willing to bring you along for the ride. You’re a badass person who’s powerful enough to manage the chaos that is Gojo, and while it was a lot at times, it was definitely rewarding. Gojo in a committed relationship is adventurous, passionate, and fast-paced. But because you were close to this unique, complex man, your relationship had a lot more depth than what meets the eye.

You’d meet Gojo while both students at Jujutsu Tech. And at the time, you thought he was annoying. He knew this, and definitely went out of his way to annoy you, just like he did with Utahime. But it didn’t take long for you both to realize that it wasn’t going to work out the way he expected it to, because a fight between you two was like fighting fire with fire (which is funny because you both have fire signs). When Gojo would say arrogant, instigatory comments to try and get you mad, you’d be flippant and snarky in return, radiating as much “I don’t give a sh*t” energy possible. He’d take the bait more often than not and get irritated at your neutral response, even though Geto always pointed out the game you were playing. You both had a strong sense of humor, so the jokes and banter could continue on for a while. And at the end of the day, you both were chill enough that it was never that serious. Which is why you could pick up the empty bickering again.

It was pretty obvious that Gojo had a thing for you at that time, but he kept quiet about it. Just like every other dumb highschool boy, he used teasing and fighting as a means of flirting. He’d intentionally get you riled up because “You’re hot when you get feisty.” He knew you intimated the other students and he thought that was hot, too. You two radiated a good amount of enemies to lovers energy that everyone else was able to see it. You both were aware, and yet you were both too stubborn to let up on the bickering flirtation you had going on and just confess.

You’d gotten stationed out by the Kyoto school for a long time, while Gojo stayed in Tokyo. It was until you guys were a few years out that you both ended up back at Tokyo. Your initial dynamic was the same, but things changed when you both went out on a mission together. Somehow, you both ended up in places you definitely shouldn’t have been in and were on the run from law enforcement. Not that either of you minded. You actually both seemed to enjoy the chase. It wasn’t until you got...higher than expected (climbing a tower) that the pace changed. You were freaking out, but doing your best to maintain calm. Gojo noticed and teased you about it, but you seemed a bit more somber about the whole situation. And he realized he didn’t like seeing that expression on you. “I gotchu. I can float, so falling isn’t a problem for me,” he’d slowly wrap his arm around you, “so as long as you’re with me, it won’t be a problem for you either.” He knew you were strong. You weren’t as strong as him, but you were strong enough that he respected you. Which is why he didn’t mind comforting you, the person he’d developed a major soft spot for, once in a while. But he was definitely gonna tease you about it later.

At some point after that incident, you guys gave in and started dating. Who confessed to who, who asked who out, all those questions would get different answers based on who you was telling the story. But at the end of the day, you two made one hell of a power couple. This could be seen most prominently in the times you both worked together. While playful with those you were close to, you both took battles deadly serious. Neither of you would walk into battle without keeping the consequences in mind. You both were stubborn about your ways, and so the shared goal was easier to achieve given the drive you both had. While you were impulsive, Gojo got excited easily, and you both aided and supported each other’s decisions. While they may not have been the best decisions (and all the other sorcerers were willing to tell you that), it really comforted you both to know someone else saw it your way. It may seem like a small thing, but I am convinced Gojo felt isolated usually, so knowing someone ‘got him’ meant a lot. The difference came in your emotions with the battle. Gojo, while taking battles seriously, didn’t care for the enemy or bystanders. He prioritized victory over people. On the other hand, you tried to empathize with the people you came in contact with and were patient with other sorcerers. This allowed you both to balance each other out, you acting as his emotional intelligence guide, and him pushing you to be more firm with the odd circumstances you encountered as a sorcerer.

Outside of being active sorcerers and dealing with the complications that arose from the job, you two had a very fun relationship. As sorcerers, you were able to travel, and you often did it together, taking all the chances you could. You got to explore nature and abandoned spaces with the job, and it became you and your boyfriend’s favorite form of quality time. But you had fun back in Tokyo as well. You were sparring partners, often fighting and practicing together. When not fighting, you kept him engaged with your endless hobbies. He loved eating your cooking, and he quite enjoyed playing games with you. He thought your two very different aesthetics were both attractive, so he enjoyed shopping with you (he loved to spend money on you) as well. Gojo was just as easily bored as you, so he thought the way you kept yourself amused was admirable.

Overall you and Gojo would have a mutual understanding of how the other person thought. He was more than ready to protect you (just you though) and he knew you would always support him as well. Neither of you asked for help, but you both knew when the other needed it, and that managed to keep you two going for a very long time. Everyday was a fun day while dating Gojo Satorou.

Premise: You had plans with your friends to hang out, but last minute they had to cancel. When you walk out to the main hall of the dorms, you find Murasakibara snacking on some food and watching TV. You were the manager of Yosen, so you considered Murasakibara a good friend, even though you two hadn’t really hung out without other people around. When he asks you why you look down, you tell him that your schedule was now (undesirably) empty. He has a solution.

“Why don’t we do something?” He pauses the rustle of his hand rummaging through the chips.

You look up at him from your spot on the floor (you’d been lounging around in your pjs, a large stuffed animal acting as a pillow as you sprawled out on the ground). “Like what?” You weren’t used to Murasakibara asking to do things, especially not with you.

“We can go, get food? Or something.” he wouldn’t look you in the eyes, but you didn’t care too much. A huge smile crossed your face as you jumped up, quickly shuffling towards Murasakibara on your knees, opting not to stand. His eyes go wide as he sees you approaching him.

“Really! Will you really go with me?” You look at him, leaning against the couch he sat on.

“Yes. I already said I would.”

“Ahhh, you’re the best, Mu-kun!” You leap up, wrapping your arms around his broad shoulders (you can barely get them around to his back), before running off to get changed. “I’ll go get ready quickly! I’ll be back!”

You didn’t see the way his face erupted pink- but don’t worry. There was time for you to see later.

You throw on a pink crop top covered in tiny cows and a pair of ripped jeans- if you were going out, might as well look a bit cute, you think to yourself.

Stepping out into the hallway, you’re shocked to find Murasakibara...trying? With his appearance? He had a decent sense of style, you knew, but he usually just defaulted to a graphic shirt and joggers. Finding him a black fitted shirt with ripped jeans and chains of his own was surprising, but very welcomed. He had one of his huge zip up jackets on, though.

“Murasakibara, you look so good!” You cheer at him. Running to him and grabbing his hand, you tug him (well, try to) out the door. “I’m hungry, let’s go.” While slow, he followed you, internally noting how small your hands were in comparison to his. “I’m driving.”

“Yeah, yeah. I know. Don’t crash us.” He teases as he reclines your passenger seat as far back as possible.

“Ah, excuse you-” you nudge him. “Where should we get food from?”

He stares at you, looking at your features illuminated by the street lights. You’d already started driving, but who knows where to. “Wherever you want.”

You ended up driving to your favorite restaurant in the area, a diner with food on the cheaper end with great quality. It was comfy. As you and Murasakibara sit down, you’re greeted by a young male waiter who takes an obvious interest in you.

Actually, uh. Well, it’s obvious to Murasakibara. Not so much to you.

“How are ya doin’ tonight?” His flirting wasn’t obvious per say, but Murasakibara sees the way he looks at you. The waiter manages to ignore the death glare that was sent his way, though. After you both order your food, you noticed Murasakibara’s pout and glare.

“Hey are you okay?” You ask him, unsure of what had unsettled him.

“Just hungry.” he waves your concern off. “...so, how was your day?”

You assumed he was trying to avoid the work of carrying the bulk of conversation, which was pretty in character, so you happily chatted away, telling him about the stupid things that happened when you went shopping in the morning and when you got your nails redone.

When your food came about, you thanked your waiter when you noticed a pin on his shirt.

“Oh my gosh, is that a Red Riot pin!?”

“It is! Are you a My Hero fan?”

As you expressed your love of Kirishima, you were surprised when the waiter seemingly abruptly excused himself.

“...I wonder what that was about.”

“Mm. eet was ooddh” Murasakibara responds, mouth stuffed. His demeanor was relaxed, but had you turned around moments earlier you’d have seen that his eyes were screaming murder.

After eating your shares of food and talking about random things, you were ready for the check.

“I’m paying for you.” Murasakibara says.

“You don’t have to, Murasakibara-kun!” You’re quick to respond.

“I’m paying.”

“No.”

“I’m paying.”

“Are you sure?”

The waiter walks up to you both, hands clasped and a nervous look on his face. “So, are we doin’ a split bill or-”

“I’m paying.” Murasakibara says to the waiter.

“Got it. He’s paying.”

“Hey, I’m serious you really didn’t have to! That’s not fair is it?”

“You always buy me snacks and things. Lemme pay for you this time.” His tired eyes gaze up at you, something unspoken lingering behind them.

“Fineee, but I’m paying next time, okay?” He smiles at that, so you’ll take it as a yes.

Driving back to the dorms, a sign catches your eyes.

“Oh my gosh, they’re open!” You cut your previous train of thought short.

“Ehh? What is?” Murasakibara turns to you, curiosity heavy in his voice.

“The new roller rink! I love roller skating I’ve wanted to go for so long. Can we go?” The question slips out of your mouth before you realized you’d asked it.

Murasakibara just stares at you from the passenger seat in silence. “What a pain.”

“Wait, really?”

“Go before I change my mind,” his tone was whiny as he stared out the window, resting his chin on his hand propped up on the car door. You let out a delighted squeal as you drive to the rink.

“I’ll be sitting here.” Once you two enter the rink, Murasakibara sits on the side immediately. It takes a lot of pleading and tugging on his arm to get him to come with you.

After getting the skates (and the people behind the counter struggling to find a pair in the back big enough for Murasakibara), the two of you entered the rink. In your excitement, you glide through the rink, going fast in a circle and smiling wide. It’s only once you come around that you realize Murasakibara hasn’t moved. He’s still by the side of the wall, holding on.

“What’s wrong?”

“...” the blank stare on his face and the irritation rising on the corner of his lips said everything.

“You don’t know how to skate, do you.” You hit it on the head. His pout exaggerates as he tries to slide forward, losing his balance at even the smallest movement.

“I promise it’s not that hard, I can teach you!” you’re grateful that the rink was empty except for you two, the 3 workers, and some other teens who were minding their own business on the other side.

He listens to your instruction, moving away from the wall, and glides forward three times before slamming onto the ground.

“Ahh, are you okay?” you reached out to help him up. You’d seem him slam to the ground harder in games, but the concern was real nonetheless.

But he just waves you off and manages to stand on his own. This process repeats for a couple more times, with each passing time Murasakibara getting better and better.

“You’re such a fast learner! It took me a while to learn.” He wouldn’t say anything but he glowed from your praise. All that being said, he was still slow to move. You didn’t mind taking the initiative and grabbing his hand, holding it as you got him to skate with you. Admittedly, it gave you butterflies (you’d wanted to hold his hand properly for such a long time, instead of just tugging him in a direction before letting go). His hands are giant compared to yours. ou could barely even see your hands while he held it, except for your bright pink nails. But he held your hand tight the entire time, quietly keeping his balance. As you two started to go faster and faster, you gained good momentum till Murasakibara miscalculated on a turn and ended up falling. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for you, his hold on your hand hadn’t let up.

“AH!” You fall back onto the giant man who met the grounds only moments before you do.

“Shit, are you okay?” It’s his turn to ask you. When you burst out laughing, he lets go of his baited breath quietly.

“That was so fun!”

“Are you...hurt though?” Showing concern is hard, he thinks. It’s hard to do without his face burning up.

As you say “I’m fine, you cushioned my fall,” you both notice you’re still on top of Murasakibara, your chest pressed against his stomach. Out of shyness you shuffle away, hurrying to your feet. “We should get going,” you remark, trying to get out of the rink. But not without falling onto your face.

“Oi- Meggie-chin!” That sounded like it hurt.

By the way you sputtered and shook your head, he could tell it shook you a bit. He was able to help you get back on your feet and roll you to your shoes (he really did learn fast).

“Let’s go home. I’m hungry.”

“There’s a convenience store next door! Let’s go get some snacks!~” You seemed unphased by your fall at the thought of more food, running out the door to the store.

Yeah, it was no surprise Murasakibara was down bad for you. What more could he have wanted than a girl who loves food the way he does?

The store was illuminated with neon lights, the isles neatly organized. As Murasakibara snagged snacks off every wall, you were checking out the dairy product isle.

He comes up beside you, noticing the way you shivered.

“What’s wrong?”

“I can’t decide what type of ice cream to buy. Or if I want ice cream at all. It’s so cold in here! But what if it’s hot back in the dorms and I’ll want ice cream then?” You pause to think. “Ah! I can’t decide.”

Your sight is blinded when a warm fabric falls over your head. “Take my jacket. Then decide.”

As you pull the jacket off your head, you pull it over your arms. It was giant on you. The ends came down to your mid thigh and the sleeves consumed your arms. But it smelled of his cologne and was so warm. Blushing at the fact your crush gave you his JACKET, you happily grab 2 cartons of ice cream in celebration. As you walk up to the register, you see Murasakibara with 2 cartons of strawberry milk.

“I know you like them. We can drink them back at the dorms.” You never recalled telling him you liked strawberry milk, even though you did drink them quite often. But you didn’t take him for the kind to notice that.

“I had a lot of fun, Murasakibara-kun.” You smile as you both walk back into the dorms. “We should do that again. Maybe. But only if you want to!”

“I wanna watch that show.”

“Huh?” You didn’t know what he was talking about.

“My Hero. You were talking about it earlier. I haven’t had time to watch it, so if you wanna watch it with me you can. I guess.”

Your crush asked you to watch tv with him? Big dub!

“I’d love to! Just let me know when, okay?”

Jumping onto your bed, you squeal into your pillow as you process the fun hangout you had with your crush. You hadn’t really been on your phone much, so you finally decide to check it.

As you think back on everything that happened throughout the day, the implications of it being more than a hangout started to settle on you. Your face burned a bright red.

(A side note, I’m not a manga reader~ so this is based off the anime and my understanding of Shiggy). You would be a big blessing for the League in general and Shigaraki’s saving grace. Shiggy and you would probably initially have clashing personalities, but I think after you warmed up to him, he’d find himself in loveee~

I got so carried away with this one so please do not mind me

You’d end up in the league as someone who was held captive (they were looking for a mind-based quirk and took you in). You were a psych major at your university in order to better understand your quirk, where you were successful and became well known. Shigaraki had heard of you and asked for you specifically. When he captured you, he found you to be quiet- not answering any questions. He was taken aback by the first words out your mouth being a really sarcastic comment that had Dabi chuckling. From there Shigaraki was pretty flustered (pretty girl insulting him hurts his ego) and determined you probably wouldn’t cooperate. He was shocked when you agreed to join the League. You decided to coexist with him, not really paying him much mind, just viewing him as the boss. It was only during a conversation with Toga that his perspective on you changed. “She fits in, boss! We’re glad ya brought her here.”

When he sat and thought about it, you did fit in. You were as intimidating as the rest of them, for sure. You may not have actively engaged with everyone by talking, the moments you did spend acknowledging them were nice. Shigaraki specifically remembers a time when you made some cookies and left them for the League to eat (you’d stress baked a huugeee batch), and he remembers looking around at the League- people who he knew weren’t always the softest, people who he knew had gone through a lot of shit, and he watched them… eat cookies. Quietly, contently. And he ate some, too. And he thought that it was a kindness he didn’t think he’d experienced before. He enjoyed it. He hoped right then and there that you’d bake for them again.

Whenever you did spend time actively talking to the rest of the League, you’d always make the funniest comments, and when they weren’t directed at Shigaraki, he found them hilarious. And (he’d never say it) he tolerated the teasing you did to him, because while he hated being made fun of, he loved when you talked to him (Dabi noticed his crush and instantly taunted Shigarakit- which Shigaraki didn’t tolerate loll).

Another major perk of having you be a part of the League was having access to your knowledge about health- both physical and mental. You actively tried to live a healthy lifestyle- you’d work out, eat properly, and made sure to drink lots of water. The league never really spent too much time working on their health, but watching you do so intrigued them. Toga and Twice were intrigued enough that they decided to try it out with you. I think they found self care to be quite nice! Your knowledge of psychology also helped with monitoring their mental states.

All this said, Shiggy was grateful for how you intentionally or unintentionally helped the league out, and started falling for you in the process. He didn’t think you’d ever like him, so he wasn’t planning on saying anything. But Toga and Kurogiri both forced him to (Toga knew you had developed a soft spot for their leader), and when you accepted his feelings this man felt like his life would never be the same.

As a boyfriend, Shigaraki would take the best care of you. I think he’d be 1)bragging about you constantly. To the whole league. ALL the time. “Are you two dating? I had no fucking clue,” Dabi had said once in the middle of Shiggy talking about you again. He’d also praise you to your face all the time. He talked about how smart you are, how talented you are, he’d tell you how you made the League more fun, all sorts of things. If you ever got jealous of smaller villains flirting with him, he’d (revel in it slightly cuz he thought you being jealous was really attractive, but also) assure you that he’d turn them to dust if you asked. He’d steal for you if you’d let him, but he wouldn’t object to going out and actually shopping if you preferred that.

2) He’d try to spend as much time with you as he could when he wasn’t plotting the destruction of hero society. He understood that you liked space and time to yourself, and he did a good job of respecting it. But when you wanted to, he would love to play minecraft and animal crossing with you. He stole bought a switch for you so you two could play together, even if on opposite sides of the room. He would make the League have movie nights to watch horror movies when he found out you liked them, even if it ended with him getting made fun of for being caught off guard with jumpscares.

Fights with Shigaraki weren’t common, but they were wild when they happened. Both of you had the tendency to be childish when you were upset, and both of you were stubborn. It was usually a waiting game till one of you decided they missed the other, and from there you would both talk it out. Afterall, you knew how to be serious about things when you had to, and Shigaraki wasn’t the type to let a fight get in the way of his love for you.

I think your relationship can be summarized by that one quote- “A hero would sacrifice you to save the world. But a villain would sacrifice the world for you.” Your relationship with Shigaraki was wholesome, loving, innocent, and funny all the same. You had the leader of the LOV wrapped around your finger.

You and Tanjiro would actually be the cutest couple omg. You seem like a very soft soul, and we all know he is too. The wholesomeness would actually kill me. Getting the baseline out of the way- enfj and infj have pretty good compatibility. On top of that, Capricorn and Cancers are opposite signs and have strong attraction as well. 

(Let’s assume that we are still within the Demon Slayer universe). You two would probably meet at the Butterfly Estate. You’d be a healer in training, not for people, but for their animals! All the little crows and birds that accompany the demon slayers. Tanjiro would approach you after seeing you treat his little crow to thank you, but he’d be mesmerized by how kind you looked and how pretty you were while caring for those small animals. From there, he’d try and talk to you. He’d pick up on how you were a bit shy and would soften his approach, trying to be more calm and not overwhelming (unlike his other two friends). And you two would start talking from there. It wouldn’t be long before you two became friends. 

From there the crushes would develop. Tanjiro would always come to meet you in the garden when you were working on the flowers, just to enjoy nature with you. He might train in your vicinity quietly to keep you company (and maybe to show off a little bit, if you were ever willing to pay him attention). As you guys got closer, you felt more comfortable talking to you and that’s when you two fell into a rhythm of spending time together and sharing stories while working in the garden. He’d always listen to you so closely, paying a lot of attention to you. He would also naturally defend you. Both Inosuke and Zenitsu have the bad habit of not paying attention to their surroundings, and they might not realize when they talk over you. I know for a fact Tanjiro would always make an effort to say “Excuse me, but you’re talking over her! Please, let her finish.” And then he would turn back to you and smile, asking you “please, what were you telling us?” 

When Tanjiro left the Butterfly Estate, he promised you he’d return soon (I actually don’t know what happens in the manga but let’s just say this is it’s own timeline after season 1 of the anime). And he did eventually, and he was severely injured. While you don’t treat humans, you’d bring him sweets you’d bake and meals to eat, and this is when Tanjiro would really fall in love with you. You felt like home to him, and he wanted to make you his. “This is hard to ask, and please feel free to say no, but I like you. Will you accept my feelings?” He’d be all nervous and jittery and blushy while asking too!! 

When you say yes, his whole face would light up and he promised that he’d take care of you. 

As a couple, it’s hard to always spend time if he’s running around as a part of the corps, but when he’s with you he feels like he’s in heaven. He’ll listen to you play violin for him if you let him. It calms him down a lot, he’ll always tell you. I don’t know exactly what the cottagecore equivalent to ancient Japanese attire would be, but I assure you Tanjiro would know. And he would always bring you back oversized comfortable clothes, and if he couldn’t buy new ones he’d demand you take something of his (it’d fit big on you but remind you of him). But his favorite way to spend time with you was to read with you. Whether that meant sitting together outside in the garden reading over your shoulder, or if it was reading a book you had already finished so you could discuss it together, he’d do it. And I already know this boy would take the greatest care of your books. He’d be so gentle with them, making sure to flip pages with care. He’d probably also enjoy the scent of books almost as much as he enjoyed reading them. And I know this man would flip out if he ever saw a book being disrespected (remember how he treated that demon’s papers during the fight in the house? Same deal, but with more care).

Overall Tanjiro would love you very much and care for you as much as you would let him. He’s a very considerate, affectionate, and kind boy. And he’d have all the loyalty in the world for you.

I think the main reason why Akashi is your ideal match in the world of KNB is because I really think he can match your energy, and match it well. Like this is a pairing where, if you were in KNB, no one would be shocked when you got together. (It has a sort of enemies to lovers vibe hehe) also Leo and Sagittarius have good compatibility :D

Akashi (all of this being assumed to be the REAL Akashi not alter Akashi) would have approached you out of curiosity to see if you would be willing to be the team’s manager. And initially, you were apprehensive of his kindness because you thought it was just him trying to help himself. But once you realized you’d actually like the team and you enjoyed the other players, you skeptically agreed to help out as a manager.

Once on the team though, you and Akashi started spending a lot of time together. You realize that he actually wants the best for his team, and he now considers you a part of that group, so he wants the best for you, too.

He’d never say it, but he felt like he understood your hesitancy with people and your lone wolf mentality (he saw himself as one for a long time). He started to fall for you as he saw how you interact with the team. Because you’re a bruh girl, he saw you as low maintenance and thought you fit very well with all the boys. And because you’re a mom friend, he adored the way you took care of his team, and he shared that desire to take care of the team with you. I think you’d soon realize he felt the same way about the team, and that’s when you started to get closer to him as well. Your shared goal brought you together (as leaders of the team but also as individuals). It was gradual, but the buildup would eventually pay off.

After taking a major victory in a game one day, Akashi asked you to talk to him after the team had dispersed. You assumed he just wanted to talk about future strategy, but you were surprised to what you were met with instead.

“Please, accept my feelings. I like you.”

You were a bit shocked, but at this point you spent so much time and felt so cared for and also very entertained by him. So you said you returned his feelings. His smile was so soft for you in that moment.

Once you guys were in your relationship, Akashi would honestly fall for you a lot harder. Getting to spend a lot of time with you and make music in your free time (he’s also a violinist and pianist) was time he really enjoyed spending with you. He found it super grounding. He also found crime shows to be super entertaining and loved to watch whenever he would with you. You two would often crash each other’s practices on off weekends to watch tv together. 

While around the team, he found your sense of sarcasm hilarious. He was smart enough to return witty comments, but he more so enjoyed seeing how the rest of the team reacted. You guys were a sort of power couple that governed the team, and it was pretty great.

Honestly my favorite part of this relationship would be the way Akashi acted with you on your worst days. He knew when you were having a bad day even if you didn’t say anything. He’d do everything he could to make your day better. And when you were having a really rough day and if you blew up on him, he’d react very calmly, making sure to never add fuel to the fire, and he’d comfort you in whatever way you’d want. Whether that means giving you a hug and holding you till you felt better, or giving you some time and space to breathe by yourself. Even if you just wanted words of affirmation, he’d be more than willing to do that for you. Regardless, after you calmed down, he’d be ready to talk it out with you. Akashi would always be there for you in whatever way you needed.

Hey Can I ask for a self ship date pls ? I’m a 18yo girl who is 173 cm of chaos and my heart has been stolen by Kise Ryouta from KNB 😩.

We may be very different, he’s more of a warm and a social person while i’m cold in the clouds and ambiverted but his smile, his laugh and how he’s dedicated in basketball made me lose it. I find his whole personality interesting even the more cold and ugly parts of him and he has the pretty face for him too but i’m not the kind of person who can just fall for apparence. You didn't bother me at all hun! This was a lot of fun to write so I hope you enjoy :) I think I have a pretty fun date planned for you two if I do say so myself hehe.

Premise: Kise got to know you throughout high school, and saw you as different from his other fangirls. Even though it wasn’t basketball, you also stood out at the top of your class, making you noticeable to Kise. You were actually a good friend (a cute friend at that) and he decided that he wanted to take you on a date during your 3rd year (once the basketball season was over and he had time to make for you). Knowing how fun you are, he had the perfect plan.

As you look into the mirror to examine your outfit, your phone buzzes with the “I’m hereeee ;)” text. You’d decided to lean into your tomboy vibes, given that Kise told you to ‘get ready to do stuff,’ which was not very informative, but exciting nonetheless.

As you walk out, you’re greeted by the blonde man dressed handsome as ever, a dark long sleeve shirt with fitting jeans, his silver hoop shining as the sun starts to set.

“Ready Y/N-chi?” He asks you, smiling as he overdramatically offers his hand for you to grab.

“Ready as ever~” you say as you grab his hand. He pulls you close and winks, flustering you right from the start.

“If I remember correctly, you said something about this being the best date I ever go on?” You take your chance to poke fun at him as well.

“Oh honey, it will be.” You can see the way his eyes shine and his mischievous grin as he walks with a nice hop in his step, guiding you towards the train station.

The train ride was pleasant, his hands protectively on your shoulder and a mean glare on his pretty features when other men looked at you or got too close, but his face was calm as he comfortably bantered with you (you on the other hand were quite unbothered by it all). Once you finally arrived at your destination, you found yourself in the lively district of the city, flooded with restaurants and shops all open late night.

“I forgot how beautiful this area is at night!” You can’t help but say as you look at all the beautiful lights and architecture.

“I had to take a pretty girl to a pretty place, you know?” He squeezes your hand as he drags you along once again, until you end up at your destination.

“I think this’ll be a lot of fun,” he says to you as he pushes open the doors to the arcade, letting all the dark lights and glowing games illuminate your sight.

He buys the coins for you both to play (He’d asked prior if it’d be okay for him to pay for you this date, and you’d agreed), and you set off to play all sorts of games.

It was a lot of fun for the both of you. While the games were enjoyable, playing them with him made it all the better. He also never missed an opportunity to flirt with you, and playing games made it easy. Both of you being overachievers, with Kise being a quick learner and you being open to trying new things made the experience amazing.

“Here, stand like this and loosen your wrists up for a better shot.” you both were playing the basketball game, and to no surprise Kise had absolutely killed it. Now here he is, helping adjust your shot. Standing behind you, he lightly adjusts your waist, turning you a little bit to help your footing. His hands then move up to your shoulders, then down to your wrists, helping guide your form and placement on the ball. While you were learning from him, it was hard to focus with him this close to you. “Y/N-chi, you can focus on me later. You should focus on your shot for now.” He says lowly, teasingly, watching carefully as your face erupts into red. He really did love teasing you, the usually calm, collected, confident top student.

Admittedly, you feel like you got back at him when you watch him try the crane game (the ones filled with stuffed animals) and he couldn’t get it after 7 tries. The frustration was clear in his face, his impatience rising.

“This game is rigged, I know it!”

You ask to try and of course he complies. However, he’s not ready for you to get a cute little stuffed panda on your first try. Suddenly, he’s a lot more embarrassed than you were earlier.

“You definitely used magic or something.” His pout is both adorable and hilarious to you.

You laugh as you hand him the panda. “Here!”

Looking down at the panda and then looking back up at you, he asks, “for me? But you won it!”

“But I want you to have it. It’s cute like you, Kise-kun.”

A huge smile crosses his face as he pulls you into a hug, spinning you around. “Y/n-chi!!!! You’re so generous!! Giving me your stuffed panda~ I’ll take good care of it.”

You have a nice laugh as you watch Kise end the night out by playing Dance Dance Revolution, not afraid to be a bit flamboyant as he goes all out with the footwork and does really well at the game.

After collecting all your tickets, Kise takes you up to the rewards table, telling you that he knows exactly what he wants to get.

“And we have enough tickets for it! Great.”

You can’t help but smile when Kise points to the GIANT stuffed panda hanging on the wall.

He blushes, thinking about what he said. “I’m not, just one upping you,” he jokes, sticking his tongue out at you, letting you nudge him in return.

“Do you wanna get food, Y/N-chi?” He asks, his arm wrapped around your shoulder.

“Sure, from where?”

“You decide. I decided on the arcade, you can decide dinner.” He looks at you with a smile, thinking back on how fun the whole night had been. “But I get to decide dinner next time.”

At your comment, his smile falters as he stares at you for a good second. He gets all serious suddenly, pulling you close (with a giant panda pressed into your side) and making you look into his eyes. “Y/N-chi, would you please go out with me again? Tell me you will!”

Giggling, you smile up at him. “Of course, Kise-kun.”

He sighs out and hums in approval, before pressing a small kiss onto your cheek. “Call me Ryouta.”

I feel like Kurokio is one of the most ‘boyfriend material’ character out of the main cast. And in your case, I would say he is probably a perfect balance of what you want and need. He would also view you as an ideal partner and a great girlfriend, even when you were at your lows.

Kuroko would probably meet you in a garden or a library - some place quiet. He was trying to run away from the team so he could have some time alone (not that they knew he disappeared), and you were just trying to read.

“Excuse me, is this seat taken?” You were shocked to see him, thinking you were so immersed in your book that you didn’t notice, but you’d come to learn that’s just how Kuroko was. You two would become unintentional reading buddies, sitting next to each other and reading in quiet. It was pleasant. After some time, you decided you should probably learn a bit more about the boy who always sat next to you. So you talked to him. He didn’t say much, but he was very sweet and came to care about you through these small convos. He’d bring you random books he thought you would like based on what he saw you reading prior, and he’d ask for your thoughts. You wouldn’t see it on his face, but those interactions made him very happy.

At some point you started to show him your sketches and pictures of the clothes you designed. You didn’t know why you did it. It just felt right. And it was the right move, because Kuroko was so supportive. He praised you a lot- he was a man of few words, but you knew that he meant every word he said.

It was during this time that he spent with you that he developed a crush on you. He thought you were great company and found your hobbies to be cool. He was the type to be walked over in the past, so he was inspired by the way you had such a strong personality (which you always argued was just your attitude). You spoke your mind and were brash sometimes, but that was what Kuroko preferred. Otherwise it probably would have gone over his head anyways.

Kuroko didn’t ask you out the traditional way. It was a thing where he assumed you two were a couple by the way he spent time with you and you with him. That being said, he wasn’t sure how much of a couple you two were, so he held off on acting like a real boyfriend till he could figure it out. It wasn’t until the team asked about it that there was any progress.

“Wait, so you didn’t ask her out?” Hyuga yelled.

“No.” Kuroko was clear. “Was I supposed to?” In hindsight, asking you would have answered his question a lot quicker than the waiting game.

The boys all let out a collective sigh. “Oi, Kuroko, if you don’t ask her out, then what’s she supposed to do? And what did you plan to do?” Kagami asked. Kagami wasn’t always the biggest fan of you (you and him fought a LOT because you were sarcastic and bossy and he had the shortest fuse known to man) but he thought you were a great person for Kuroko for those exact reasons. Kuroko needed someone who was able to make decisions and have a good sense of sarcasm cuz he was soft in comparison. There was no denying it in Kagami's mind.

And so they all convinced him that he had to ask you out formally. He came to your normal meeting spot, and whipped out a new book with a rose on top. “Will you please be my girlfriend?” He was very forward in his request, but he was sort of nervous. When you accepted, he was so relieved. He could shower you in the affection he wanted to without questioning your bond.

As a boyfriend, you and Kuroko's relationship was well balanced. Kuroko knew when you were in a mood or having bad days, and he had no problem giving you space and time to do what you needed to do. He was persistent, so you knew he would follow up with you no matter what. You couldn’t go too far without Kuroko coming to pull you back. And when he did, he would do it gently but firmly. He always took a lot of time to understand you. He was great at listening, so he would be patient and take time to understand why you did what you did and how to help. He was great at reading people, so it wasn’t always stuff you had to tell him. If you were ever insensitive, he didn’t mind. The people he played with were similar, and it was a sort of bluntness that he preferred. It matched his own style of speaking at times as well. Your ‘attitude’ was well dealt with by him and wasn’t really a cause of problems in your relationship for the most part. If you ever got into your own head, Kuroko would be very logical with you to help you get out of it, and he was always very positive and driven. That positivity was shared with you. He had faith in you and that helped you push forward as well.

Kuroko was definitely the ‘nice’ one in your relationship. But it was a classic case of opposites attract. The fact that you were a bit tougher and had an attitude made it hard for other people to mess with Kuroko as well. They usually didn’t perceive him as a threat. But people knew you wouldn’t take that typa stuff and would definitely give them some sass/attitude to keep em in line, and in that way your relationship also helped Kuroko.

Kuroko’s an absolute gentleman and would be very romantic with you. He’s the type to give you his jacket, walk you home, keep you company, take care of you when you're sick, and bring you small gifts that remind him of you.

All in all, you and Kuroko were a good couple. Whether it came to your emotions, your struggles, your opinion on romance, or just the genre of books you read, Kuroko was there to slowly push your boundaries to help you grow as a person - he’d do it slowly, steadily, and with the most love and care in the world.

hi!! Recent follower here and congrats on the milestone! Can I have a matchup with an HQ boy? I'm 23 and use she/her pronouns.

Personality-wise, I seem social and friendly but I'm pretty introverted and prefer spending most of my time at home. You and Osamu would be a couple that supports each other endlessly. That’s the whole premise of your relationship. Osamu is an amazing chef and an amazing businessman. You being his girlfriend to support him just happens to make him a better man in the process.

You’d meet Osamu at Onigiri Miya because it happened to be located next to your favorite bakery (that had the BEST macarons you swore by it), and you stopped in one day to pick up some Onigiri. When he saw you he definitely thought you were cute, and he gave you an extra onigiri as incentive to come back (both because it’s a good business tactic and also because he’d like to see you around again). But he was lucky because he ended up running into you a couple more times at random places. He once saw you when you were on a morning run (he also likes to get in a light workout sometimes before opening shop) and he waved to you- he didn’t think he knew you well enough to start up a conversation. He was happy when you smiled and waved back. He saw you at the shop a couple more times throughout the month and asked for macaron recommendations, which you happily gave him. But it was when he ran into you at a bar, watching you go all out on the dancefloor (on the occasion you decided to leave the comfort of your home), that he decided he definitely had to make a move. He came up to you (slightly tipsy- he needed the courage) and asked if you would like to go on a date with him. And who could turn down the handsome owner of Onigiri Miya?

I think once you two went on a couple of dates and started to get to know each other, he realized just how much he actually liked you. Your personalities and lifestyles were really compatible. Though he had the ability to socialize, he also preferred more time at home, and he was glad you shared that sentiment with him. He himself also hits that balance of laid-back but routine-oriented, and he was happy he found someone who shared that with him. Running a business required him to keep a schedule and be on the grind, and having a girlfriend who also had a routine made his life a lottt easier (it gave him motivation).

This man is absolutely obsessed with your vibes btw. Like I said before, he always thought you were cute. But when he learned that you had a chill, blunt personality to compliment your cutesy appearance he fell hard. I just know this man would keep his fridge stocked with energy drinks for you because he needs em as well. You were never one to give into Atsumu’s whining when the three of you hung out (this just amused Samu to not end), and the blunt, logical solutions you provided always helped him with business and personal problems. The fact that you didn’t like negative vibes and tried to stay positive had helped him on many occasions, and I know that he’d fix whatever problem with your help and then show his appreciation in whatever way you want as a thank you.

My favorite part of your relationship though would be the way you guys really understood each other. Osamu, being twins with Atsumu, is also used to having a volleyball ‘genius,’ (moreso a perfectionist) in close proximity. He’d constantly be compared to Atsumu especially after he went pro. Even during their high school time, there were times when Osamu started to care less about volleyball than Tsumu, and he got pressured for that. So knowing that you came from a similar situation, and that you had gone through similar things made him feel really connected to you.

Overall you’d be Osamu’s angel of a girlfriend, and he’d literally praise you at any given opportunity. Whatever type of affection you’re willing to accept he is willing to give, even if it is just chocolate cake he brought home he got on his way back from work.

Ok, so I know that I already requested a matchup, but I just read the MHA match up and I really loved it. If it’s ok, I would like to request a MHA matchup. I will copy and paste my last description of myself because I’m not really sure how the ask boxes work.

I’d prefer to be matched with a male and my pronouns are she/her. I am currently 16 years old, I have brown skin and dark brown eyes. My hair is a dark brown color(almost black), very curly, and it reaches toward my mid-back. I’m 5’2” in height and I am an Aquarius(For Midorima).

I usually like to watch anime and read in my free time. I really love chocolate and exercising. I dislike people that lie a lot, peanuts, peanut butter, pecans, almonds, avocados, and onions. My hobbies are writing, drawing, reading, watching tv, singing, and playing the Piano. I think I’m particularly talented at writing since everyone seems to like my writing very much and right now I’m practicing my creative writing skills.

Personality: When I first meet someone, I tend to be quiet and just observe everyone. If anyone comes up to me, I usually just introduce myself, and depending on who the person is I may strike up a conversation. If I don’t then the person that’s talking to me will usually make conversation and I will quietly listen. I would usually just nod or say things like (yea, right, mhm) to show that I am listening. If I begin to feel comfortable I will give my opinion on the subject or try to strike up my own topic. But once I get really comfortable with that person I can become very goofy. I’ll start randomly dancing in the hallways and make weird sounds when I’m with that person. And depending on the person this can either increase or decrease in weirdness. I’m very good at listening to people especially when it comes to a person talking about their passions. My friends and family tend to laugh at a few things I say. They’re never really jokes there just situations I’ve been in and Apparently, they’re funny. I don’t tend to touch people, the most I really do regularly is either is put my hand/elbow on the person’s shoulder(Doesn’t matter if they’re tall or short) or begin poking them in odd places.

Negative Things: If someone is sad or insecure about something, I don’t know how to react, I usually just stare at them while they cry to themselves. I would not suggest that any of my friends come to me for emotional support. Unless they just want someone to listen to them. I don’t know how to take compliments. Once someone compliments me I usually just stare at the person or say thank you very slowly.

Additional: Since me and my friends were in chorus, we would usually just begin singing our chorus songs very loudly. It didn’t matter where we were, we would just begin singing. There was a time where my friend called me super sweet because I was checking up on them during the pandemic. My friends also said I give the best presents and truthfully I be struggling to find presents. I want to give my friends something they can use or they really like. For example, I gave my friend a drawing notebook and some art supplies since they like to do art. I’ve been told that I have a mean resting face and that I act more mature than my age. I also asked my friends to describe me and they said, “Beautifully, Creative, Loving, Silly, Writer, Fashionable, Pretty, Innocent, and Nice Hairstyles.”

I swear I don’t no where they’re getting these nice compliments.

Denki Kaminari!!

You and Denki would be the couple that worked for the weirdest reasons, but absolutely no one could question it because of how happy you two were together. There were interesting points where you two differed, and those were the points where you two balanced out.

Denki would meet you when you joined Class 1-A as a hero course student, eager to become a hero, despite being on the quieter side. Denki, on the other hand, was not on the quieter side.

“Heyy cutie, what’s your name?” You didn’t know where this man got the confidence, but he was flirty and energetic from the get-go. Thrown off by him calling you cute, you just stared at him, wide eyed, a little frozen. Oh wait, did I mess that up, he thought to himself as he stared back.

“You, you have a name right?” Consider this another story to add to your list of wild yet hilarious situations you’d been in. You introduced yourself and smiled at him, and he found the whole interaction adorable, even if he made it awkward unintentionally.

Your relationship with him would only be uphill from there though. Denki was always doing something worth observing, so you found yourself watching him during exercises and drills. He also was the type to ‘bother’ (Mina always was on his case about him bothering you) or chat with you on a daily basis. It initially was just him telling you stories or just talking so he’d have an excuse to interact with you. He eventually got through that barrier with you and had engaging, funny, random conversations with good momentum after some time.

Once everyone moved into the dorms, Denki’s small crush on you developed into legitimate pining (and though he didn’t know it, you feelings had developed similarly for him). You two were always together, just doing the randomest things. Now that you were really comfortable with him, you didn’t mind making odd noises, dancing around, and just being yourself with him - at max weirdness. And luckily, he was very similar. He made the oddest noises and loved to dance around. It was funny though, because the rest of the class couldn’t even believe that someone as quiet and calm as you was with someone as chaotic and wild as Denki (they didn’t see the way you acted, the way that Denki saw you).

He asked you out a month into living in the dorms. He was happy with always getting to be with you, and he wanted it to be official. That, and he also wanted to prove to Kirishima and Sero that you WERE actually ‘his’ and he wasn’t just holding you hostage by harassing you daily. And his point was made when you said yes.

As a couple, it was a wild relationship to watch from the outside, even though it made perfect sense to you two. Others would see the way you nudged and poked at Denki, which he often did back (this was the way you two teased each other). They were shocked to see you touching him, but they didn’t think much past that. But what they didn’t see was how you two acted in private. Denki knew that most of the class didn’t take him that seriously all the time, and he got it. But he did wish they would take him a bit more seriously at times. And he felt like you took him seriously when he needed you to. You were a great listener and really mature, so he felt comfortable confiding in you and just venting. He wasn’t the type to ask for too much advice, and you weren’t the type to give it, so the dynamic worked out well.

Denki was the type of boyfriend to spend time with you. He loved just being by you, watching TV with you, exercising and practicing with you, and especially reading your writing. He wasn’t much of a writer himself, but the way you wrote always impressed him greatly. He enjoyed listening to you sing, and he knew the song you were singing you can be sure he’d sing along with you. He knew all of your likes and dislikes with food, so he’d go out of his way to make sure he didn’t buy any of those things. In return, you’d return the companionship. You also gave Denki gifts when you could (usually when you saw something that made you think of him). You didn’t think you were that great at gift giving, but Denki was always elated whenever you said you had something for him.

Denki just loved being with you. He was happy to have someone who cared about his wellbeing and actually checked up on him, and listened to him. In return, he’d try and make sure you were the happiest girl on the face of the planet.

When it comes to personality, I am super friendly with people and I like meeting new people but sometimes I do get shy when meeting them for the first time. I do get my schoolwork on time and value education but I’m just lazy to do it! You and Nanami would have a very balanced relationship. You guys would have so many memorable moments together, and being in each other’s company was always the biggest blessing for you two in the wild Jujutsu universe.

You’d meet Nanami as a student in Jujutsu Tech. Being a new first year, you were a bit shy. But the second years Gojo and Geto took that as an opportunity to snag you up and befriend you. They were the ones who introduced you to third year Nanami Kento.

Nanami was interested by you from the start. He thought you were pretty, and you had such kind eyes. But you were also goofy, the type to joke around all the time, and he saw you be lazy with any paperwork and formalities. Not his cup of tea, right? And so he dismissed you initially.

But a few months in, on a weekend you all had off, everyone decided to spend some time to themselves. Nanami decided to treat himself by going to the bookstore. It was to his surprise that as he was going through the shelves, he ran into a familiar face, planted on the ground in a cozy reading corner, surrounded by many books spread out around. Your face was so bright, but your eyes were so focused. It was a sight to see for Nanami. He never took you for a book lover, which happened to be a major love of his as well…

He contemplated talking to you, but he decided against it. No need to bother you, and it wasn’t gonna be productive, right? But you were on his mind for the rest of the day, and every time he saw you after that, the memory returned. He tried to reason that you were a lazy student, so he shouldn’t be concerned with you, but he was proven wrong when he soon realized you were top of your class in performance and drive. You always finished your work and strove to do it well. Nanami would be lying if he said he didn’t find that... respectable.

He went back to the bookstore on the next free day he got. Yes, he needed a book. But he also was curious to see if you were there again, too. He won’t admit it, but he was a bit disappointed when he didn’t see you in corner.

“Nanami?” He turned around to find you with a stack of books up to the underside of your chin, wide eyed and looking at him. “What are you doing here?”

He instinctively grabbed half the books on your stack to lighten your load. “I, uh, needed a book.”

“Oh!” you didn’t question it much. “Would you like to join me?”

I shouldn’t have said yes, he thinks to himself. Yet here he was, plopped onto a couch, shoulder to shoulder with you, your nose buried in one of the books. How was he supposed to focus when you were… when you were right there?

“How fast do you read? You have so many books.” He tries to make small talk - not his forte.

“Oh ha um, well, I actually have a bad habit of buying more books than I read. But I can’t really help it.” You abashedly rub the back of your neck, smiling at him as you explained your unique book relationship.

What an odd girl, he thought. Maybe it was because you were so odd that he started to find himself thinking of you often, wanting to learn more about you, and maybe even read with you. He’d like to see your book collection, if possible.

But by the time graduation came around, Nanami had decided he no longer wanted to be a sorcerer and dissociated from the field entirely. He didn’t think you’d care, so he didn’t say anything to you in particular. And he figured whatever thoughts he had of you would dissipate over time.

But he was proven wrong when he saw you in a book store many years later. You’d grown older - more mature. And you were absolutely elegant. You still didn’t notice him, so he considered himself lucky. He could walk out unnoticed.

So he doesn’t know what possessed him to come up to you.

“Nanami? Oh my, it’s been so long!” When you hugged him, all his old thoughts and emotions came flooding back full force, and he let his face quietly burn as he embraced you.

Long story short, you asked him to come back. You’d been working under the guise of a journalist to complete international jujutsu missions without being on the radar. But you’d finally returned to Japan because they needed you once again. Nanami had been going back and forth between returning or just staying at his job, but he considered you showing up a sign to go back to being a sorcerer. After working on a few missions together, he was aggravated by the fact that he found himself concerned with you more and more.

One day he was going out to fancy dinner with Gojo. He was hoping he’d be able to get you off his mind by hanging out with the other insane coworker of his. He had arrived on time (of course), and was getting increasingly agitated when Gojo was nowhere in sight. It wasn’t until you walked in all dolled up that he realized what had happened.

“Nanami? Did Gojo invite you as well?”

Technically, yes. But how was he gonna explain this to you?

“He did. But I don’t think he’s coming. It’s okay, we can just leave now.” As he gets up to leave, he surprised when you extend your hand, urging him to pause.

“Well, why don’t we have dinner together then?” You were pretty, embarrassment on your face and your attire quite elegant. He’d be less than a gentleman if he rejected your offer. And so he sat down. And you two had dinner together. He finally learned about your most recent book purchases, despite less free time for you to shop. He knew the basics about you before that dinner, but it was quite charming to watch you speak about the nuances of life, joking the way you always did, not minding his quiet, curt nature. And by the end of the dinner, he found himself asking you to go to dinner with him again sometime. You said yes.

And thus was the beginning of a long delayed relationship that consisted of mutual pining for years. But you didn’t hesitate in making up for lost time.

You two went on a good number of dates before he formally asked you to be his lover. He had his hang ups about it, which is honestly why he never asked you while students. He knew the risk of losing life in your shared line of work was too high for either of you to be able to come out unscathed. And yet, he realized he’d rather get to love you and love you dearly while you both could. If he was going to risk dying young, perhaps it’d be okay to live life to the fullest - only because you both were in the same situation.

He loved you in the ways Nanami would love, and he let you fill his life with small joys and fun moments. While Nanami took everything seriously, you took almost nothing seriously unless necessary. It created interesting conversations, while also acting as a lesson for you to be a bit more serious and for Nanami to loosen up. While you were stubborn, he was also firm, so you couldn’t just get your way with everything (which was for the best). But he found your tenacity to be one of your most attractive personality traits. He knew that when push came to shove, your sheer desire to complete a task was enough to carry you. You’d go above and beyond in performance should you be challenged. In a way, it reminded him of his overtime technique.

Outside of sorcery, you two spent time in surprisingly domestic ways. Had you not been sorcerers, you two could’ve been perceived as a traditional soft couple. You always had gossip to spill, but should it spread around, it could get back to you with major repercussions in the Jujutsu world. So who better to tell than your loving boyfriend who had no care for drama at all and barely talked to the others? You’d curl up on the couch with him, and he’d listen to you attentively, but be stoic the whole time, huffing about how gossip wasn’t productive, it wasn’t of consequence, etc. And yet, he’d still ask you if you had anything new to say a week later(he secretly liked the gossip). He’d eat your cooking, even when it didn’t go as planned, because he was firm in his stance that if it was from you it was worth eating.

He loved going shopping with you, and he never stopped taking you on weekly dinners (he enjoyed trying new restaurants with you). You also managed to get him into Disney movies. I don’t know how, but you did.
