I find it genuinely fascinating and disturbing alike how the stereotype of autism, at least in many left-leaning spaces, has shifted in recent years from being a tragic, isolating white boys' disease, that tears families apart and is truly a fate worse than death for the sufferer, to a frivolous and #aesthetic white GIRLS' quirk that never has any ACTUALLY detrimental effects, not even any social difficulties, all these girls on TikTok can mask well and talk Normally and only flap cutely so what's YOUR excuse?

We spent maybe 5 figurative minutes talking about how autism mommy culture is abusively ableist in the way it simultaneously bends over backward to avoid teaching autistic kids - ESPECIALLY autistic boys - any meaningful coping skills, writing the whole concept off as just truly impossible (it's just the nature of The Autism Winning, these poor poor children are just tragically locked in their own heads, and if they're boys, well, Boys Will Be Boys, there's certainly nothing to be done for the meltdowns, stress reduction and clearer communication is a hopeless endeavor, he's just Acting Out completely arbitrarily, no I haven't actually TRIED I don't need to I Just Know), but simultaneously demands that kids learn these skills on their own because their parents just refuse to communicate with them on their own terms - then the fidget spinner trend happened, we got a whole stim toy industry, it blended with influencer and wannabe-influencer culture, and now...we just have a whole new stereotype that's no better; what it reduces in potential as eugenics propaganda, it makes up for in denial of support needs and misogynistic overtones.

My two cents on the whole 'ride Pokemon aren't nobles' debacle with PLA; I frankly think its kinda dumb that they made a big deal in game about the Ten Pokemon that fought with the Ancient Hero... but only treat half of them as worthy religious figures for whatever reason.

I've always approached it as there being two different levels of Nobles - The Greater/Offensive (aka the canon Nobles™️) and the Lesser/Defensive (aka the canon Ride 'mons). The Offensive ones are those that would take battles head-on to keep it far away to protect the Clans whereas the Defensive would focus on directly keeping the Clans safe. Hence why they would over time become the Ride 'mons, as they would carry people safely away from the dangerous battles.

The Ride mons might get a little less direct respect overtime because the common person is simply more familiar with them, more chummy, compared to the others who keep their distance and cause people to fall back on overly respectful to make up for any discomfort. But they are ultimately all still Nobles at the end of the day.

Of course, this is just my fanon take. It certainly is my approach for the Catching Trains fic (not that its been of much focus lol). But it's my sandbox too so I figure I'll build castles the way I like.

What is the drainage like in the Highest Light? What's the infrastructure situation on all those waterfalls? Are any of the waterfalls self-contained / self-feeding, and what's the pump and water engineering on that? What's their system like for significant increases and decreases in water volume of those waterfalls? How is their sewer system laid out? What systems are in place for stormwater management, and how effective is it?

Can someone please put me in touch with their Department of Environmental Protection, because I've got a lot of questions about the drainage and water infrastructure and generally about the water engineering. Their hypothetical and presumed infrastructure problems and concepts are just so interesting to me.
