BIG BURLY FLUSTERED MEN with a/o who takes one of their hands and kisses their knuckles - knuckles that have been covered in blood - and big burly man (I’m imagining König) just self destructs. Blue screens. Combusts.

Unwinding after operations is always a hassle. There's this limbo between finishing the mission and arriving back at base where adrenaline is still high, but you can't stay in one place long enough to come down from it.

Everyone is still milling about the building your unit is using as a temporary base. Counting your dead, if any, and treating the wounded before heading to the drop ships to fly back to KorTac's base.

You and König are holed off in a corner of the courtyard, you being seated on a bench with your back pressed against the wall while he sits on the ground between your legs. He rests his head back on your thigh, and you can feel the way he fidgets. Itching for something when there is nothing left to do but wait. His mask is still on, along with the rest of his gear. One of his hands idly tap your ankle, trying to find some way to release this anxious energy he has until you both can get back to base, where he knows it's safe.

You look down at him and remove your gloves, placing them aside before sneaking one of your hands under his hood and the balaclava beneath. Your fingers drag against the column of his neck, and your nails gently scratch his nape, making him groan and tilt his head back further to look up at you.

König let's out a grunt and fixes you a curious look. You hold out your free hand toward him. "Give me your hand." You murmur, and he does so compliantly.

He melts a little at the pleased little smile you give him, eyes darting down to where your hand holds his. His are so much bigger than yours, thicker too with the bulky material of his gloves. The fabric is stained red, speckles of blood still wet and crimson. He frowns a little at the idea of your hands becoming stained as well.

König thinks to rip his hand from yours, but falters when you begin to tug the leather off his fingers and down his wrist until his skin is released from the suffocating material. His hands are rough, pale and scarred and calloused. Your hands aren't perfect, but they are much more delicate and pretty than his in comparison.

You seem to disagree, though, with the way your hands trace the shape of his. You spread his fingers a little, dragging your nails along each callous and faded scar. It's almost devout in the way you study each line of his palm, the pads of your fingers so gentle against his skin.

You lift his hand up to your lips, tenderly pressing a kiss to each knuckle. You start at the base before moving down each finger, almost as if you don't want any of them to be left out. He would have laughed at the thought if his body wasn't frozen like a deer in headlights.

Your eyes fall down to his and your smile widens at the absolutely mystified look in his eyes, stormy blues flickering between yours and your lips against his hand as his pupils dilate.

His mouth opens and closes underneath his mask, but any attempts to speak die in his throat. How could you put so many thoughts in his head that he is unable to fabricate them into words? Do you have any clue what you do to him?

You let out a small chuckle and go back to kissing his hand, trailing your lips down across his palm and the back of his hand. You pull down the edge of his sleeve just to press your lips to his wrist. König groans as your affection doesn't let up, long and pained as his head lulls against your thigh and he drapes an arm over his eyes.

"Du wirst mein Tod sein, Engel..." He murmurs, thankful that his mask hides the stupid grin on his face.

I don't want to give away too much so that my adhd brain doesn't overshare and lose motivation to work on the story so I'm struggling to hold back 😫

It takes place in a house on the shore, the shifting rooms of the house, the dense ocean fog and moving garden vines reveal and obscure the history of it's inhabitants. An unexpected visitor washes up on the shore one afternoon. Lucile and Vincent are from entirely different time periods. Lucile is blind in one eye, Vincent walks with a cane. AAAH I don't know what else to share that is not saying too much 😖 It is a character driven gothic romance/horror about trauma, death, regret and revenge and the story changes depending on your choices. I'm sketching a bunch of art of them and been writing in between work so I'll be sharing more stuff soon 🥰 I'm so flattered by the interest it really means so much to me 😭 I want to share their story to the best of my ability and I'm teaching myself a lot of new things so I can do that, I really hope you will enjoy it once it's done 🥺

Update 2: okay fine then, fuck it (she says still suspicious that there's no way neil would ever confirm a s3 plot point so of course he'd say this BUT THEN AGAIN if time were stopped why would the clock move UGH if it is an error ill be so upset)

UPDATE: so neil answered this but hmmm? now i know fuck all about jack shit admittedly but idk, presumably the first half of the scene where crowley confesses was filmed in at least a few takes? or pieced together in a few takes? and the clock is resolutely at 0925, indicating it would have been stopped? then the second half, just before aziraphale leaves the shop, it's jumped by 15 minutes... precisely.

even if filmed on different days/different calls, you'd expect the clock to have changed hours too...? and i cant imagine that a whole ass week after s2 release that neil would reveal anything about s3 which by all accounts he hasnt finished and can't finish writing yet... yeah im not convinced 100% it's a continuity error

so here is where you witness rhi shit on every single thing she has written including the interpretation written with visceral conviction that I Forgive You was written in response to crowley tempting aziraphale with the kiss. but the thing is, i cant believe that neil 'master of detail' gaiman, douglas 'every prop is important' mackinnon, and co. would let this continuity error slide (*side eye to crowley's sideburns and glasses change*):

now i sincerely hope that this isn't a 'crowley stops time and they actually decide that they're going to swap places/come up with a whole plan to save the world etc without discussing their Problems' incident, because as it stands narratively i feel that could be a little cheap

but possibly more a 'crowley stops time to stay in this below moment and they talk a bit more, but ultimately argue a bit more too and realise that neither as of yet is going to see each others' whole perspective but hey communication of any kind is a revelation for these dummkopfs' moment

like, i still hope there's angst going into s3. i need these two to be worlds apart from each other so they fully recognise the void that the lack of the other has left, and actually their ideological differences a) can be discussed and reconciled, and b) are perhaps not actually that different after all

but whatever potentially happens in those 15 minutes i hope still explains the absolutely devastated look on aziraphale's face, the I Forgive You, the glance back to Crowley before he gets in the lift, aziraphale steeling himself in the lift before he arrives in heaven... does crowley actually confess to aziraphale who he is? who he was before the fall? why he can never go back? why he can never be forgiven in the first place?

this has set my mind on FIRE

Can you give me any tips on how to draw Kenobi's beard? I need to improve my facial hair skill's. Love your art, the light and shadow play you haw going, is straight up insane.

So I tried typing up an explanation but I don't think it was very helpful, so I ended up making a step-by-step of how I personally draw Obi-Wan's beard!

But yeah, always draw the base face underneath and build on top of that!

Also, note that my own art style is very stylized, very "manga." It's a good idea to look at how different artists draw facial hair in a variety of styles to get inspiration for how you want to draw!

And most importantly, as with all art, practice. There are lotsa different beards out there, and even Obi-Wan himself has different beards. Even within live action, Ep 2 beard is closer to his face, Ep 3 is more puffed out (what I drew here), Obi-Wan show is even bigger! Mix in how angular his beard is in TCW animated, the variety of takes across the tons of comics he appears in...there's really no wrong way to draw it, just preference! And this goes not just for Obi-Wan, but any character—and not just beards, but every feature! So you just gotta draw lots to figure out not just what you think looks right, but the kind of beards you like to draw! I'm definitely still working on it myself!

Anyway, I hope this very quick step-by-step (I hesitate to call it a tutorial) was helpful! And thanks for liking my art!

Imagine Terry picking up his boyfriend Danny from Caspar High and seeing Dash bullying him. You cannot tell me, Terry wouldn't choice violence and beat the shit out of Dash.

Terry INSTANTLY chooses violence. Driving on a Fenton Motorcycle towards Casper High to pick up Fenton and notices Dash and his other goonies insulting and yelling at Fenton.

Now, Dash is strong and big, but that’s nothing compared to actually knowing how to fight and real world experience. Dash knows how to football tackle someone and how to properly throw a punch but that’s around it.

Terry on the other hand, is a whole ass vigilante and used to pick fights with dangerous gang members and win them BEFORE he was Batman. He’s even better at fighting now with it being his job and everything.

Dash tries to be cool and tough. Who does this new guy think he is? This gymnast physique lanky beanpole of a kid with a ratty leather jacket looks like a biker gang member wannabe. There is determined fire in his eyes as he storms up towards Dash and looms over him. (Ok dash is slightly intimidated by this guy but he isn’t gonna back down against a complete stranger)

Dash snarks back to the biker kid by insulting Fenton. That was his last mistake. The biker guy removes his helmet to reveal a very conventionally attractive guy who looks eerily calm.

When you ask Dash later, he claims he doesn’t remember what happened.

That is mostly true. Terry gave him a pretty decent concussion and a lot of the fight was foggy to him.

What he does not tell anyone is that this new guy managed to take out his entire group in less than a minute. Effortlessly dodging clumsily swung blows and striking his friends and himself in the stomach and sides. Dash got the honor of receiving a swift kick to the balls on top of multiple blows to the gut.

Dash watched, curled in the fetal position on the ground, as the biker guy rushed over to Danny and frantically checked him over. As Danny frantically whisper-shouted, reprimanding biker guy about beating up Dash’s crew.

Danny scolded ‘McGinnis’, finally Dash can put a name to this bastards face, as McGinnis laughed and snarked back at Fenton.

Dash watched as McGinnis walked over to his bike and sat down on it. The smug biker winking at Danny and throwing some flirtatious line at the nerd. He couldn’t recall exactly what it was but something about beating up clowns? What?

Danny, still on edge and panicked as Dash’s gang laid curled up on the ground, moaning in pain, angrily huffed and flipped off McGinnis.

The fucker had the audacity to laugh as Danny mock angrily stalked over to the bike and sat behind the driver.

Dash doesn’t exactly know if he saw the new guy give a glowering Fenton a peck on the cheek to stop Danny from grumbling like an angry cat or not. It might have just been his recently concussed brain making things up but Danny DID seem to brighten up and laugh as they sped away from the school.

Hello! I just completed the 5some scene witb Halsin and Astarion and I dont really have anyone to comment this with I hope you dont mind me dropping here real quick to say [SPOILERS]

So... he just dissociates no matter what? I completed Astarion's quest and I could swear that meant he wouldnt dissociate in the scene. But I think what bothers me the most isnt even the dissociating itself but the lack of response from the Player Character. I just LET him?? I dont comfort him, I dont stop the whole thing in its tracks??

And its the only way to get Halsin's backstory?? Am I doing something wrong? I feel so conflicted about the whole thing. Opinions? Thanks for reading this far if you have, sorry for any inconvenience!

I don't claim to be the best source on Astarion lore or on his storyline consistencies/inconsistencies since we're like a bitter divorced couple, I can't talk about him without getting slightly annoyed. But,

I got that exact same scene (5some) after Astarion's story conclusion. To me it makes sense that he's still distant - we fixed his Cazador situation but we didnt fix his sexual abuse issue because he never brought up the trauma. I'm assuming you didnt romance Astarion ang got this scene? For me, a non-Astarionmancer it made sense, since he never told me about his intimacy issues in the first place. But if that happened to you, and you romanced him, then I can still understand him being distant in that moment. He's not that into sex with other people and you just asked him to perform in front of 4 others. I can see how he would default to an auto-pilot. But that's assuming you did romance him. If you didn't then there's not much to be surprised about. He's tired of performing seduction.

To me, it's not that big of a deal that the PlayerCharacter doesn't respond to catching Astarion drift away. Without romancing him and learning about his baggage PC at best can only assume that Astarion is not into sex due to his past of sleeping with his victims and that possibly bringing up bad memories. Since the narraror line about him being distant during the encounter was only a brief mention (narrator mentions PC and Astarion catching eyes for a moment, any further descriptions of his performative behaviour are a general description of the scene since nothing is visible, not necessarly describing what the PC is seeing).

What! I! Fully! Agree! With! You! Is how Halsin's mega traumatic backstory is only ever accessible through a hidden option (i wouldn't even call it a mission, just a random NPC conversation) in Act 3. That conversation could have been naturally implemented into the (currently bare-bone) Halsin romance route. This is why I'm still screaming about letting the players have access to Halsin as a companion in Act 1 already, so that he can go with the PC to the Underdark. That could lead to him having some flashbacks to his time there, and perhaps slipping in some titbits during idk the exploration of the wizard tower in the underdark and him seeing the chain mounted to a wall and that bringing up some nasty memories?? Like the story writes itself, it's all there but I'm guessing the devs had better things to do then flesh out their fanservice and fan demands. Like adding Halsin as a romance options SHOULD HAVE BEEN a post release thing !!!

My opinions are more or less summed up here. It's ass that an abuse victim such as Astarion gets all the special treatment and a catharsis while Halsin, who also went through a traumatic experience doesn't. He actually laughs it off. But that's okay, people cope differently. So why not have us explore his backstory more? Well, it's crunch of course. The devs had no time to put love and care into Halsin even tho him being a romance option/companion (so those conversations about his past wouldn't come up) wasn't even on their initial goal list, just something a few discord people suggested.

I feel like the writers had too much on their plates and too little time to make sure inconsistencies in character motivations/ reactions, backstories don't occur. But we should all be happy Astarion got all the attention he deserved. Oh, you're saying there are other companions in this game too? Since when?

Ooo yes okay! It’s been a while since I reread the series so apologies if some of these are incompatible with canon or are included in canon lol

AUTISM.

He refuses to eat fish on principle. When anyone else eats fish around him, he’s convinced they’re making fun of/insulting him.

He’s slightly weary of Saladin for the same reason.

Sure, he wears black to blend in and be drama queen. But also because he can own like twenty copies of the exact same piece of clothing so he knows it’s comfortable and he doesn’t have to waste time deciding what to wear.

He’s definitely forged at least one Janus painting and they still haven’t noticed.

He thinks it’s funny to pretend to be a helpless old man and/or confused American tourist to get out of complicated situations

Fiske and McIntyre would play chess and other strategy games while Fiske got filled in on Grace and her grandchildren.

His music tastes have been heavily influenced by Nellie. Dan finds it hilarious to see Fiske, dead to the world, with wired white earbuds tethered to Nellie’s hand-me-down past-generation iPod (it’s stained with spots of chipped nail polish and a sharpie-scribbled skull). He tells no one that he actually enjoys garage band punk.

He regularly painted Hope and her family, but would always burn the works as soon as they were completed so he didn’t put his loved ones at risk.

In the same vein, he now has an art studio in the mansion full of paintings of Dan, Amy, Nellie, and the rest of the people he loves; as well as landscapes of his travels.

He has mailed Beatrice varieties of smelly fish on more than one occasion. You know, since she must love fish so much.

Nellie tried to teach him to bake… let’s just say it wasn’t his calling. Something about Dan thinking the Vesper’s were burning down the mansion again, fire departments were called- it’s all a bit of a blur.

I think that’s all I’ve got for now, hope these are fun! I’ll rb this if I think of any more as I reread
