Sometimes i think about Clexa being so soft just hugging, eyes closed and swaying slowly side to side 🥹
Ya know that's something I've thought a lot about and maybe it's a side note but I'm gonna rant on it.
I tend to find a lot of canon fics write Lexa as this standoffish person, not very affectionate or openly giving of acts of touch, but I say look at the facts here.
Lexa was an extremely expressive person in non-verbal ways. She was so very obviously a women of "actions speak louder than words." And when you take that into consideration, let's look at how she conducted herself around Clarke.
First of all, the girl was always putting herself in Clarke's space. And I'm not talking general vicinity, I'm talking
Tumblr media Tumblr media
fuckin literally in her space. Like,,, if someone stood that close to me in line I'd have to drop a "bitch give me two feet. Damn 😒" on em. She liked to get close.
Second, where I think sometimes the crossed wires come from with Lexa's character and how she shows emotion is that they're taking how Lexa acts as the commander and applying it to how she is on a personal level. But in my opinion, I think that doesn't do her justice. Because you have to remember, the majority of her time on s2 was spent with her dealing with the fact that Clarke was angry with her. She was trying to be respectful of Clarke's wishes for distance, thus bottling up her emotions for Clarke's comfort. But even still, even with all that, it still bled through.
God bless her, but the girl
Tumblr media
Was not very good
Tumblr media
At holding back her desire
Tumblr media
And more than that, Lexa very much welcomed Clarke's touch
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Nice move for the thigh there wanheda ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )
Tumblr media
She never shied away from it or seemed to do anything other than soak it up.
And from the start!
Lexa!
Initiated!
Contact!
Tumblr media
She pushed for kisses and she pushed to be closer. She was the one who tipped the tension between them into the romantic arena. She showed physical and emotional intimacy time and again with Clarke, from being willing to take a damn nap with Clarke in her tent to bowing at her feet when the commander bows before no one. She took Clarke's hand and held it and accepted that comfort that Clarke offered, freely. She even trusted Clarke with a damn blade pressed to her neck for God's sake. She was never ever wary of letting Clarke touch her, even when she herself was working to hold back her desire to touch. And when they finally made love it was Lexa who pulled Clarke to her bed and guided her down into a kiss. Clarke may have initiated the kiss because Lexa wouldn't have over stepped the boundary Clarke laid down, but I'll be damned if Lexa didn't immediately go for gold after 🤷‍♀️
My point through all of this is that yes, I believe without a doubt that if they'd been allowed to be together longer, they would've been such an intensely affectionate couple in their own ways. With Clarke, who is a demonstrative person at her core and whose love language is visibly touch, and Lexa, who shows her love in small, subtle ways because she's so used to having it smacked away or buried under obligation and tradition, you'd have this couple who in the safety of each other would allow themselves a chance to just be soft. To touch and comfort and soothe. To breathe each other in and just be Clarke and Lexa, not Commander snd Wanheda. I think they would've fallen asleep in each other's arms and hugged most mornings before going their separate ways. I think it would've been entirely normal for Clarke to hug Lexa from behind as Lexa looked out from her balcony over Polis. And I don't think Lexa would've been shy in her appreciation of Clarke's affection, nor in returning her own.
There's a reason why everyone knew of their feelings for each other and why not once did Lexa deny it even when confronted about it. In reality, she doubled down on it by kicking a clan member off the tower and inviting Clarke to stay despite the kill order. Both pretty brazen when you think about it.
If given the chance they both would've been all in and you'll never convince me otherwise.
Indra wouldn't have known a moment's peace 😔

Clexa World Cup one-shot
Read on Ao3
0000
The crowd erupted in uninhibited joy, an energy that gained momentum as it spread like wildfire through tears, hugs, and the raw volume of primal elation.
After 16 years, a new generation brought the national team to a World Cup semi-final.
Lexa’s laughter was loud and unfamiliar, a childish joy taking over her body. Her teammates carried her over their shoulders, an ovation to the hero that found an impossible shot outside the box at 115 minutes. So Lexa smiled, and laughed, and bathed in sticky gatorade until Anya whispered in her ear, “They’re in.”
The speed that Lexa’s expression closed into its usual stoic stare of the “Commander” was so fast that Anya did a double take.
They were in, as expected.
But now Lexa was in, and Anya, and an entire team behind them after a historical comeback against a European powerhouse.
That meant Lexa would play the game of her life against the love of her life.
0000
“Griffin! Griffin!”
Clarke redid her ponytail as she waited for the reporter to catch up with her at the side of the field. The deafening crowd had slowed after their hard won victory and celebrations of once more being classified for the world cup semi-finals. The reporter, a beautiful redhead that didn’t reach Clarke’s shoulders even on heels, spoke hurriedly into the microphone, “Clarke Griffin, congrats on the victory and classification! You had to work hard today to achieve this!”
“Thank you, and as always, it was a team effort.” Clarke rolled her shoulder, a little stiff after the dive at the end of the second half. “We’re all excited that we’re one step closer to our goal.”
“And how are you feeling about facing Lexa next week?”
Clarke blinked hard, focusing on the little dip of the reporter’s lips as she processed the words. “I, I mean I—”
“Their game went to extra time, and Lexa scored in the second half.” The reporter smelled blood in the water and smirked, the camera missing the glint in her eyes as she said, “You’ll be facing your wife in the semifinal. How do you feel about that?”
Clarke’s shoulder ached.
“My goal remains the same,” she said in a neutral tone. “We always knew that was a possibility, and I will give 100% to my team. Thank you.” She ignored the follow-up questions and headed straight to the tunnel, following the chant of “the champion is back” echoing in their locker room. She distributed high fives with her good arm and looked around until she found dark, worried eyes. Behind the wall of red, white and blue celebration, Clarke whispered to Raven, “Are they in?”
“Yeah,” the physical preparator responded. Raven looked happy, but there was an apprehension in her tone. Her wife had assisted Lexa’s goal, after all. “Lexa. Anya’s assist.” They both chuckled dryly.
“Fuck,” Clarke whispered. “Okay. I got this. We got this. Right?”
Raven touched Clarke’s sensitive shoulder, frowning when the 6’1” keeper hissed. “Yeah, it’s just our marriages on the line. They will get over the defeat, eventually. How’s the shoulder?”
“Coach won’t let us see them until the game, will he?”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Clarke.”
Someone jumped on Clarke’s back, their bubble of privacy bursted with a sharp “whoop!” yelled at her year.
“Clarke Griffin, our savior!” Octavia hugged her keeper again before jumping down her back. “I thought we were done with that penalty kick!”
“Never.” Today was a day to celebrate. She would worry about her marriage and their game tomorrow.
And Lexa would be fine. She could handle Lexa.
“Never,” Clarke repeated and shared one last look with a worried Raven.
0000
The press coverage had doubled over Clarke. Avoiding questions was getting hard, so at the press conference after their last practice, Clarke sat down in front of the flashes and microphones.
“Is the fact that Lexa is your wife going to affect your game?” The first question came from the back of the room. Clarke gritted her jaw.
“No. I’m a professional, and so is Lexa, and we will act like it.”
“You and Lexa play different positions, but these past few days, your stories have been compared. How do you feel about that?”
Clarke took a deep breath before answering. “We have unique backgrounds, as a lot of other players from her country and mine do. I acknowledge our privileges, but I don’t discount my team’s talent. This is the World Cup. Nothing else matters.”
“You play on the same team back home and you haven’t played against Lexa since before you were married.” The journalist who asked was the same redhead from after the game, sitting a couple of rows in front of Clarke. “Do you think this time playing against her will weigh on your performance?”
Clarke saw the opportunity and took it. “Nothing weighs on my performance.” She stood up, a clear signal the interview was over. “You can ask Lexa about that.”
The room broke into laughter, and Clarke walked to the back exit. Her hands prickled with sweat.
0000
“Amanda, what a game! No goals on regular time and a thrilling one-on-one in extra time. Now we’re heading for penalties to decide who will move forward to the final. And do you see that line of players there?”
“Oh, I see it, and everyone should know that this goes beyond a historical comeback for the South American team, but involves some of the player’s personal lives too!”
“Tell the fans!”
“You see, Clarke Griffin, the celebrated newcomer goalkeeper, is actually married to Lexa Woods, who won the Ballon d’Or last year, and we’re seeing Lexa lining up to take the last shot.”
“That means that, if it comes to it, Lexa will decide the classification shooting a penalty against her wife?”
“Yes, Peter, that’s exactly what that means! Seems like someone will sleep on the couch tonight!”
“Any bets on who wins this penalty shoot-out?”
“Ontari is a great goalkeeper, but Griffin has solidified her spot as the starter keeper in the team with the best defense in the championship. So my money is on Griffin.”
“Even against her wife?”
“Griffin is a stable player, and she has played against Lexa in their home league before, so yeah, even then.”
“But everything is different in a world cup. My bet is on the latinas. Lexa and Anya have what it takes to bring this new generation to another final. The referee is calling the teams to the center, so it’s about to start! Good luck to both teams!”
0000
Blood pumped loudly in Clarke’s ears. The fans behind her goal yelled all kinds of profanities and slurs, the side strategically chosen when Anya won the coin flip. She ignored the yelling and name calling, her focus on the game, defending two shots, taking both teams to another round of shoot-outs.
She had to admit that Ontari was having the match of her life, and she could also catch two shots, equalizing their numbers. Clarke bit her lip as Harper missed her shot well above the post. The crowd yelled, that unlawful volume powered by revenge.
Clarke knew they were the team to be beaten, and now it was in her hands to prove that. The referee approached her and said something. She didn’t understand a single word, but assumed it was the usual line warning and nodded, walking to her spot. She opened her arms, glanced forward, saw Octavie cheering her own, the classic “you got this” on her lips.
And then she saw green.
Lexa walked from the middle of the field, looking straight at her, her pace calm and calculated.
The woman walking down the field was not Lexa Woods, her best friend, wife, lover, mother of their girls.
That was The Commander, the ruthless striker that made her name as the best player in the world after a hard childhood in a country that didn’t care about women’s sports. Lexa had carved her name playing barefoot against boys twice her size while Clarke was being driven to practices in a new, clean SUV. The Commander was forged under fire and criticism against the super-performing men’s team, and each defeat meant a torrent of critics that Clarke herself had never faced. But Clarke had taken the opportunities given her. She had made her name and proven herself. She deserved to be here just as much as Lexa did.
She had defended five of Lexa’s shots throughout the game, and now she was ready to defend one more.
Lexa kissed the ball before adjusting it at the penalty mark, an oddity for the striker. The sound behind the goal died as Lexa took one, two, three steps back, grass staining her cheeks, her brightly colored shirt speckled with mud and sweat.
Clarke grit her teeth and saw the minute shift of Lexa’s hips.
Left.
The referee blew the whistle. Lexa ran for the call with a furious, deadly expression. Clarke jumped. Left, left, left.
Air left Clarke’s lungs as she fell on the grass, the heavy scent of earth filling her nose as she skidded to a stop.
For one moment, there was silence.
Then the crowd behind her exploded, the vibrations of the entire stadium shaking her to her core.
She looked up and looked back.
When she turned her face to the field, Lexa was already back with her teammates, being received with open arms and tears.
Her own teammates had tears in their eyes, too.
She looked back at the ball, now innocently immobile, nested securely inside the net.
“Fuck,” she whispered, her gloved hands clawing the grass, leaving blunt marks.
“Hey.” Octavia had jogged her way to her. “You okay?”
No. She wasn’t okay. Her shoulder burned, her career would be in check as “the woman who crumbled in front of her wife”, her eyes stung, and fuck, she needed a hug from the one person she couldn’t have one right now.
“Yeah.” She lied, stood up. “Sorry.”
“Fuck that. You did great. Next time.”
“Next time.”
0000
The clicking sound of cleats against the hard floor echoed in the hallway.
A security guard made his way to Lexa, but seeing who she was, he let her go through the back door.
Lexa sighed in relief at the sight of the bus still parked, running and ready to go, but women clad in white suits still boarding it. It was hard to miss Clarke, the tall, strong woman like a pristine marble statue, as she waited at the end of the boarding line.
Lexa, in her muddy uniform, stopped as every single player looked at her. The personal security from the national team made his way to her, but the coach waved him off. No other player made a comment as Clarke stepped away from the line and met Lexa, who remained on the other side of the separating ropes. The media was not there yet; no cameras, no prying eyes besides Clarke’s team.
“Hi,” Lexa said, and she really wanted to wipe away the smile from her face, but it was impossible. They had been celebrating their spot at the final with the crowd, and by the time she could slip away, Clarke was ready to go back to her hotel.
“Hi.” There was a small smile on Clarke’s lips, a little sad and defeated, and Lexa wanted to kiss it away.
“I—”
“Congratulations,” Clarke forced out, shrugging her shoulders. “That was a great shot.”
“Babe, I—”
“I love you,” Clarke cut her. “But… just give me tonight, okay? Tomorrow morning is my last day with the team and I’ll join my mom and the kids at their hotel.”
Lexa swallowed and nodded. There was so much joy within her, but that broken expression in Clarke’s eyes was making it hard to remember why she should be happy at all.
“I love you too.” Lexa extended her hand, a peace offering. Clarke took it, and Lexa pulled her a little closer, kissed her fingers. They were red, taped, and the pinkie was swollen. A goalkeeper’s hand. “Please don’t be mad.”
Clarke barked a laugh and pulled her wife into a hug. Lexa breathed, relieved, burying her face in her wife’s chest. “I’m not mad at you,” Clarke said, but her voice shook. “But I’m a sore loser, you know that.”
Lexa took a deep breath of Clarke’s perfume and grimaced at seeing the mess she made in her wife’s immaculate white suit. “You were always my greatest challenge.”
“We’ll talk again in four years.”
“Griff.” A voice called from behind them, and they turned to see Octavia calling her teammate from the bus, and every single player in the bus watching them from the windows. While Raven waved at Lexa, Octavia flipped her off with a smile. “We gotta go. And you better crush those stupid Germans in the final, Lexa.”
“You bet,” Lexa said and stopped back on her side of the rope. “Family brunch tomorrow? With the girls?”
Clarke nodded, picked up the duffel bag she had left at her feet and leaned to whisper next to Lexa’s ear, “I won’t be gentle next time.”
Lexa’s cheek warmed with a blush, because she knew exactly what those dark eyes were promising, and it had nothing to do with soccer. Lexa blinked as Clarke pecked her lips and walked back to the bus. It was driving off when she heard cleats behind her. She turned to find Anya cursing at seeing the bus drive away.
“Did you talk to her?”
“Yes,” Lexa answered her captain. “We’re good.”
“So get your head together. We have a title to win.”
“Aren’t you mad you missed Raven?”
Anya shook her head. “Not really. She sent me nudes after the game.”
Laxe chucked, walking back to their locker room. “I can’t believe you too.”
“I bet Griffin already made this whole thing sexual between you two.”
Lexa’s ear burned with heat.
“Called it!” Anya placed her arm around Lexa’s shoulder. “C’mon, Commander. After conquering the world, you can fuck your wife as much as you want.”
There was no ending to Lexa’s blazing cheeks.
“Oh.” Anya’s eyes sparkled with mirth. “I see. The fearless commander is secretly a bottom.”
“Oh, shut up.”
“Is that what she tells you?”
“Anya, I swear to god.”
“I promise not to tell your fans.”

Clexa!AU - Canon Devergence
Meeting in the City of Light
It was Lexa.
The girl walking down the street two steps ahead of her - it was Lexa, Clarke was sure of it. Except it wasn't her Lexa.
This Lexa was regal, gorgeous, like the real one, but she didn't have to bear the heavy burden of obligations to her people. This Lexa was self-confident, relaxed and carefree.
This Lexa seemed to be happy. Clarke had only seen her like this once, in the bed they shared.
And now Clarke wanted to call this girl by her name, hug her, and never, never! - let her go.
But it wasn't her Lexa to hug, to kiss, to love. To this Lexa, Clarke was a stranger, a random girl in the crowd in this artificial place.
Okay, guys, I'm ready to make a deal with you: I make arts, you give me links to fics with that plot or write new fic, based on the art. Win-win situation

"let’s do it for the love that used to be here" - no, I'm not thinking about clexa in the city of light, nope nope nope 😭💔💔
in addition to the city of light, where clarke was also with a ghost of lexa, consider this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and my tags in that gifset: #SHE KNOWS!!!!!! #but she still clings to this version of her lover like it's a lifeline the only thing keeping her sane
and tell me that's not clarke hugging the ghost of lexa just, yeah, for the love that used to be there, the love that is alive in her heart but she has nowhere to put it. she has so much of it and she begs these pale reflections to just give her this one moment of peace and relief — for the love that used to there

Clexa 31, please
thank you!
31 - after a small rejection
------------
Peeking her head in through the door, Lexa sees Clarke staring out at the city below from the fire escape of her downtown apartment. It's picturesque really - the view from here. The apartment itself is not great. It's small and the heat goes out constantly. So does the electricity - but it's what Clarke can afford.
Lexa knows better now than to offer any real help. Sure, Lexa could help Clarke out with her bills - could even go as far as to help Clarke with a first and last month's rent on a new place. She's offered and been denied.
Clarke doesn't want help. Would never ask for it and won't accept it. Lexa knows why, knows who to blame. Clarke's mother went out of her way to tell Clarke that her decision to take up art instead of medicine was foolish and would send her crawling back home with her tail between her legs.
She also knows that there have been moments where that has almost happened.
Still, Clarke is here and Lexa will support her through all of this as best as she can - even if that is limited.
Judging by Clarke's demeanor, that support is going to be very needed today.
"Hey you," Lexa makes her presence known as she steps behind Clarke on the balcony. For a half a second, Clarke tenses - like she's been ripped out of her own imagination.
Then she looks over her shoulder, the sunlight slipping between the crack of a building in the distance shines across her face as she smiles.
It doesn't quite reach her eyes. "Hi."
"Dare I ask?"
Clarke sighs. "Not what they're looking for."
It's frustrating for Lexa so she can't imagine how hard it is on Clarke. Her art is so good. There's so much detail and depth to it - things Lexa doesn't fully understand but she knows it's the kind of thing the world should see.
Yet, it hasn't worked out for her yet. Hasn't found the right audience - hasn't gotten the support it deserves.
It will, Lexa knows it will, but that doesn't offer much solace right after another rejection.
"Well if you're not going to be sending off that sunset piece to a gallery then I'd love to hang it up at my place."
This time when Clarke smiles, it doesn't feel as forced. "Your walls are like...eight-five percent my art at this point."
"That just means I have another fifteen percent of space to fill." Finally, Clarke leans into Lexa and that's all the invitation Lexa needs to wrap her up in a hug. "It's going to happen, love. I know it."
Clarke nods against her shoulder. "I know, I just need to wallow in it for a few more minutes."
Lexa understands, she offers a soft kiss as confirmation that she'll hold her through it.

Abo clexa meet when they’re young. Lexa is expected to be the alpha heda. But, puberty hits and she quickly finds shes an omega. Clarke is an alpha who becomes some sort of personal guard or idk, someone close to Lexa? And they use her alpha scent to mask Lexa’s omega scent. They spend years hiding it.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anon your mind 💯 !!!!!
They are young warriors, both Anya's seconds, when they meet. They are thieves, both expected to present as alphas and both treated as such. There is a puppy crush there, but as Lexa is taught love is weakness and believes herself and Clarke to be alphas, she never reveals it, not even when Clarke manages to pin her down, only a few weeks before Lexa ascends, grinning hard and tells Lexa that she is actually kinda pretty.... for an alpha, that is.
Clarke presents early. At only age eleven, much earlier than any of the nightbloods or the warriors in her age group. She is isolated for her first rut and comes back so much more serious, like she has been to war. She tells Lexa all about how horrible it is and tells her to prepare for the pain and the growth and complains how being an alpha is horrible and sucks.
"Maybe I wont present as an alpha, Klark."
"Yeah right. Titus has you as his favorite already, he'd probably demand a new conclave if you won and then presented as an omega."
"Would it be that bad if I was an omega."
"Well I wouldn't be able to hang out with you as much."
"Would you stop being my friend if I wasnt an alpha?"
"Oh, so now you're sure you're an alpha?"
"Of course Klark, I have always been sure."
"Hm, I think you just say that because you would miss me."
The conclave happens much sooner than they anticipated. Luna and her brother have presented as alphas, the only nightbloods so far and Luna is the favorite to win. Clarke watches from the sidelines next to Anya, her protective alpha instinct begging her to go and protect her friend from certain death, but the heavy hand on her shoulder belonging to the older alpha girl prevents her from doing so. "She can do it on her own.". And when Lexa does win, Clarke cannot help but puff her chest out in pride for her friend.
Lexa is Heda now. Clarke is a few months short of completing her training. They see each other less now, but Lexa still sneaks out of the tower to spar with Clarke under the moonlight. They are fifteen now, older and only slightly wiser. Lexa steps into the training grounds late, looking small and terrified. Clarke smells her before she sees her and her eyes widen.
"Youre an omega."
"Hush your voice Klark." They fall silent. Clarke takes a step back, smelling the air again. She has never been this close to an omega clearly in heat. But Lexa is her friend and she wants to comfort her so she approaches her, Lexa doing the same. They are only a few inches away from hugging when Anya jumps out from the bushes.
"Step away from her second!"
"Anya, I wasn't-"
"Quiet."
It's Anya's idea. With Clarke this close to finishing her training and being Anya's second, it will be easy for Lexa to appoint her as a personal guard, especially as Lexa is newly presented. Both want to argue, Clarke wants to see the battlefield and fight for the coalition, Lexa wants no protection just because she presented as an omega, if they want to kill her, she will die with honor in her truth.
Stubborn proud children, Anya thinks with pride. She trained them that away. Anya asks Clarke to give Lexa her clothes to mask her scent. Tomorrow Lexa will announce she presented as an alpha and she will smell like one. Anya will take her to the bunker where she will spend her first heat alone, away from prying noses. Clarke will sleep in Lexa's commander clothes to assure when she comes back, Lexa smells exactly like the alpha she is supposed to be.
They do not talk until after Lexa's heat. It is weird for Lexa to see Clarke as an alpha now that she knows she herself is an omega. The heda in her demands she keeps her distance as she cannot afford to fall for her more than she already has, not with her... condition. The omega in her see in Clarke a noble alpha, the perfect mate. And suddenly they are forced to be closer than ever, trading clothes so Clarke's scent is always attached to Lexa, Clarke constantly by Lexa's side, having to match every emotion Lexa sends into a room, focusing so her scent is always stronger than Lexa's. And yet, they have never been further apart. They barely talk to one another, every accidental touch to charged with something they do no understand.
I want an angsty filled fic where they must share scents and be always so close to each other but suddenly what they based their friendship on is gone and neither know how to deal with the fact they are an alpha and an omega and not two alphas. Nor to they really get the fact they have scent marked each other by now, how Clarke's protectiveness is no longer just that of someone sworn to protect her Heda, how Lexa's feels lonely and betrayed when Clarke goes to spend her ruts away from her, sleeping with a beta who lives somewhere in the woods.
Shit hits the fan when Azgeda accuses Lexa of lying about her presentation, challenging her to fight to the death. Clarke insists she be chosen as champion but Lexa knows she must to do this on her own, prove that alpha or omega, she has the right to continue in her throne as Heda. After a night together where scent marking is traded by mating marks, Clarke finds it so much harder to watch Lexa get dressed in clothes Clarke has not marked with her scent, showing her true colors to the coalition for the very first time.

A Knight's Tale - Chapter 2
A week long feast is set to celebrate the royal nuptials of King Lincoln of Polis and Princess Octavia of Arkadia, boasting drinking, dancing, and - of course - jousting. Sir Lexa Woods, the First Knight of Polis, its champion jouster, and its most eligible bachelor, resigns herself once more to several evenings' worth of unrequited invitations from the ladies of the Polis court; Ambassador Clarke Griffin, Crown Prince Bellamy's right-hand advisor, resigns herself to repeated solicitations from Finn Collins, an Arkadian attaché. Though it occurs to them...if they spend the parties with each other, their suitors might be frightened off. It needn't be anything romantic, merely convenient.
But when jealousy starts to surface, Lexa can no longer pretend it's merely convenient.
A fantasy (ish) Clexa AU.
Lexa looks down the table as the dance begins. Most have taken the opportunity to abandon their seats, but a spare few remain: a pair of older women, bearing the sort of indifference to pomp only matrons are capable of, a man of even greater years looking after a child a fraction of his age…and as the latter tugs the former away, Lexa can see clear down to the far end of the table. Down to the singular woman who sits there.
Short, blonde curls frame a white round face. A black dress hugs an hourglass figure and as she folds one leg over the other, eyes fixed on the dance floor ahead of her, a slit in its skirt reveals itself as it inches up her thigh just past the point of propriety.
Lexa blinks and looks back up to find her attention now returned. The blonde merely raises an eyebrow at her and Lexa finds herself rising out of her chair without thinking.
Who is this? Lexa’s memory flips through any number of possible identities as her feet carry her forward, searching for some point of conversation or commonality that could possibly explain her immediate interest…anything other than the way her curls tuck behind her ear, and earrings glint against her neck.
It takes mere seconds to cross the distance, so perhaps it’s no surprise that nothing surfaces in time. Instead, as she arrives within earshot of the blonde, all Lexa has to offer is: “Good evening.”
“Good evening to you, Ser Woods.” The woman looks Lexa up and down in a brazen, if thoughtful, way. Her tunic is buttoned nearly up to her chin, but Lexa nevertheless finds herself feeling immediately exposed. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”

WITH YOU I'M BORN AGAIN - A Clexa Fic
A new planet brings new enemies, but help is just around the corner. "I told you I’ll always be with you."
A The 100  / FTWD / TWD crossover, following two long lost lovers - together with their friends and foes - in their search for freedom.
Tags: Crossover | Adventure | Romance | Friendship | Family | Conflict | Loss | Plot Twists | Canon until feb 2019 | Probably too much fluff for a zombie apocalypse | And yes most likely some adult cuddling too ;-)
CHAPTER 55 — DAY 98: LEXA | ALICIA I warily open the creaky door and step inside the cabin, leaving Echo behind outside. Despite the dimness, I immediately see her lying on the old mattress, curled up in a ball with her face to the wall. Madi is sitting at the table, not far away from her. She jumps up as soon as she sees me. "Lexa!" We hug each other, just briefly, as the restlessness in my body is too intense to linger any longer. My mind is already elsewhere and I quickly want to follow. "How is she? Did she sleep... or eat?" Madi just shakes her head. The concern in her eyes is reflecting my own. Swallowing hard, we share a look of deep sadness, before I turn to Clarke and kneel down next to her. She hasn't responded to my presence yet and for a moment I think—I hope—that maybe she fell asleep after all. Yet the moment I lay my hand on her upper arm, she raises her head to gaze over her shoulder - drowsy, as if being pulled out of a dazing trance. The kind that only comes with heavy grief. "Hi," I say softly when our eyes meet. My voice is failing me and has to come from far away. Clarke's lip starts to tremble. "My mother is dead," she says in response, while turning further towards me. I wrap my arms around her, catch her in a tight embrace. "I heard," I whisper, "Echo told me everything."

Sorry I was at work all day but jumped to open this when I got back!!!
I I dont mean to take @clexa-is-forever job, but I must give an analysis on this!
First off: Starting out with a drunk sword fight, did not expect that but it is genius! 😂
"You're beautiful Sam"
R speaking nothing but facts.
“Oh, thank you. I guess,” Sam trailed off at the end as she felt heat creep up the back of her neck. She’d been called pretty before, and even hot, but you were the first person ever to call her beautiful, and Sam loved it every time the sentence left your lips.
🥺poor baby. You're stunning Sammie!!!!
"You're insufferable"
"I know but you love it"
So, it's that type of relationship, eh 😏
Ok, bust seriously, Sam's hands are goals and I can't blame R
“They are a lot like you; rough, but under the surface, they are extremely soft.”
Why is this so accurate 😭
"I have thoughts about them as well. I wonder what they would feel like-"
😳... R, I'm gonna have to stop you right there for your own good ✋️
"If you ain't first, you're last!"
Is that a Ricky Bobby reference!?!?!?!?!?
"Swear fealty to me"
Sorry girl but I ain't swearing no shit to your short ass (Honestly would tho👀...)
"As the argument grew, you needed space from the loud noises. It wasn’t that you hated being around them; it was just loud noises drained your social battery, and you were ready for peace and quiet."
I am R and R is me
"You don’t know why a bench was up here, crackhead Mike probably brought it up one night, but you were thankful for it."
Crack head Mike being a wingman
Bro! All my scars (there's a lot) mostly have weird stories attached to them!
Anika, I love you, but rot in hell!!! Whyd you have to break it up!? Go find a ladder or something!
"Mi amor"
The way my eyebrows leapt off my head
There's so much more that I want to comment on like how I adored all of the roof scene but I gotta go get some college work done!!!!!
P.S. referring to your response to my last ask, of course I didn't ditch you! You're my favorite Sam author! I also missed chatting with you too! I'll def be sending in my thoughts then!
-🦝
I love reading people’s analyses on my work, so thank you for doing this!!!
My favorite troop is either asshole x asshole, or the “you’re insufferable” “I know but you love it” troop!!! Those two are my favorites!
Sam is just a lovable bear who gives the best hugs!
Nah but R was definitely about to embarrass herself when she was talking about Sam’s hands 😭 drunk words are sober thoughts
That was a Ricky Bobby reference!!!
I did project a little bit when R left because of the loud noises. That stuff just drains my social battery so much
Crackhead Mike has been bringing couples together since I don’t even know how long, but he’s good at his job!
You’re foul for the ladder 😭
Good luck with your collage work!!! I hope it’s going better than mine 😭

how do you think clarke would have let lexa know she still had feels for her and loved her if they hadn't had to separte, they had more time together. im really curious was it sometime during the night clarke lays awake and cant shake the feeling she just needs lexa, like really needs her affection rite down to the core or would it be clarke just randomly kissing lexa because shes being all heda and she just cant help herself. i mean come on we all know lexas not going in for the kiss first this time she said she wouldnt and she all afraid of clarkes boundries now.
Ya know. That's actually a good question. And I think if you asked a dozen people in the fandom you'd probably get a dozen really different answers, but I think in my mind and just how Clarke conducted herself, I don't think she would've gone for it any time soon without there being a tipping point.
Because the thing is, Clarke is stubborn. She is bull-fuckin-headed. God love her, she's a precious little shit. Ya just wanna firmly sandwich her face between your palms be like, ".... let some shit go sometimes. Also, you're allowed to want things for yourself. Now stop bein' a dick."
So with that understanding - that she is stubborn and will hold a grudge wuh-haaay past when it's time to let it go - I have to say that no I don't see her really being completely and openly honest with Lexa about her feelings until given a clear impetus to be so. There always had to be a push for it to happen.
Having to go back to Arkadia and possibly never seeing Lexa again, seeing Lexa so resigned to the fact that they may never again get to have that kind of closeness or intimacy in their goodbye (as fleeting in that moment as it felt), knowing that they may never see each other again or if they do it could potentially be on opposite sides of the battlefield, the fact that it was Lexa who pushed forward and let slip "That's why I—..."
Those were all a storm of emotions that emotionally pushed Clarke into acting on her feelings.
Without that, I don't think she would've done it any time soon.
Because it was obvious Lexa had already done damn near all she could to earn Clarke's trust back. Clarke even understood the choices Lexa had made by that point. Had literally mirrors them herself despite, stubbornly 👀, trying to push the blame off onto Lexa's shoulders as a coping mechanism. They were rebuilding all the pieces of their relationship, but every 2 steps forward, Clarke would always take one step back. She always kept that distance. Always keep Lexa at arms distance.
This scene right here is the epitome of Clarke being Clarke
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean goddamn girl. They had just spent the afternoon together. Clarke had sat and physically comforted Lexa after her nightmare. She'd drawn her sleeping and held that trust in such a vulnerable state. And yet, when Emerson attacked and Lexa moved to not only protect her but to comfort her by merely touching her and helping her up, Clarke recoils and harshly rejects her. Leaving Lexa startled, and confused, and hurt despite her immediately accepting the rejection, because... well, look at what they had just shared. That afternoon, those moments, they had meant something.
But that's just what Clarke does.
It's just who she is when she feels like her trust has been broken. Despite all the pieces being there for Clarke to move on from the anger she was already having a hard time hanging on to anyway, she still did hang on to it, because she's a stubborn little asshole (affectionate... mostly) in that way
That being said... if they were given A Lot more time for Clarke to pull her head out of her own ass and move on and actually allow herself to be happy within this world of chaos, I think it would've been more of a moment of Lexa just being Lexa, rather than Heda, that would've finally knocked down those few remaining bricks in Clarke's wall.
Because, while I think Clarke was attracted to Heda and Lexa as Heda and all that she embodied in those moments, truly I think Clarke fell in love with Lexa as just a person. The girl beneath the armor. And, imo at least, I think that's an important distinction to make. And I think it was an important distinction for Clarke too.
So do I think it would've been some moment of Lexa being entirely ~too Heda~ and Clarke just smooching her face off? Honestly, no. While that would've made for a fantastic moment to watch 🥵, I actually think it would've been a quiet moment of Lexa just being Lexa. Her saying or doing something with more meaning or emotion or vulnerability than she normally does. A moment of her showing Clarke yet another piece of that girl hidden beneath the sash of her duty that just hit her like an arrow right between the cracks of Clarke's already crumbling resolve.
But either way, emotional or situational, there'd always have to be a tipping point.

I imagine this was Clarke when she ran to the school when she realized lexa wasn't home
Tumblr media
Omg, this is the fluffiest thing ever. Yes, that's Clarke's wolf aesthetic for sure! With the happy little wiggle and all 🤍

I got wayyy behind posting the #EveryClexaAO3 fics i’ve read because i had a HUGE life event happen that’s kept me off Tumblr for a couple weeks. I’ve read through 69 fics (lol that number just happened to work out on it’s own) since my last post on this journey and that’s just way too many to try and catch up with info and gifs/mood boards for all of them. I feel kind of bad about not making them like the other posts. As if i’m letting the writers (who i don’t even know and probably have no clue i’m even doing this) down and not doing their works justice... But alas, i must keep moving forward. I might drop some emojis next to some of the titles at least.
Links to 8-77 of 7,959 Clexa Fics are below.

Sensing no dangers nearby, Lexa allows herself a rare moment to appreciate the sight that Clarke makes, red painted vibrantly across pale skin and blonde hair. Her mother has immersed herself among the wounded, but there is little she can do for the grounders whose skin is charred and blackened.  She catches Clarke’s eyes from across the leveled ground and Clarke looks away. She knows what she will see, the aching disappointment is apparent even without looking.  Clarke clenches a fist and tries to contain the bile that rises in her throat.  Her stomach roils and she looks at the flames that are finally beginning to die down.   Tondc burns and Clarke wills herself to not burn along with it.

Listen those two videos had me in tears how is this our future eib Aden and little sis 🥺 I imagine Clarke breaking into tears after Aden cries seeing his sister hugging each other tight and Lexa not that far behind with misty eyes. Aden being so protective and alert about his sister that he would go running to Clarke when she’s hungry or impatient bc his sister won’t stop eating when he wants to play with her. Listen I have so many scenes for this two I’m dreading the end of eib I’m devastated
aden really deserves the “best big brother ever” tee that raven gets him just before his little sister is born 🥹 and each and every day he earns that title more and more
i’ll be honest, from the time i set out to write eib, i had in mind that it’d end with just the promise of marriage and that would be enough. now i want to write their wedding, the pregnancy, aden growing into a big brother, the bond the two have growing up, their friendship in their teens, a thanksgiving when they’re in their twenties and clexa have settled into a smaller place for just the two of them. i want to give them the entire life they deserve
