I kind of want to see more of that Yandere!Cinder thing you did

(I didnt expect to go any further with it, so... here we are)

Ruby walked through the Beacon halls, swearing she was in a haze of sorts as she continued to make her way from class to class. Faces seemed blurred as she passed by the other students, voices practically muffled as she continued through the day, only really able to focus on the professors for each class. It was almost like she wasnt herself.

“Ruby!”

Ruby’s heart practically jumped as she heard Cinder’s voice, relaxing a bit as she still saw her as clear as day as she felt Cinder embrace her into a hug. “Hey Cin.”

“Want to train after classes?” Cinder asked.

“O-oh, sure,” Ruby answered, watching as the other students seemed to avoid her. Even with unclear faces, she could still see them turn away. “I-I dont exactly have any plans anyway right now.”

“Not even with your team?”

“Yang and-” She went quiet as she tried to figure out a way to answer Cinder, not even sure of what her teammate’s names were anymore. She couldnt see their faces, couldnt remember names or voices, but she knew she had a team. They were there every night, even if they did avoid her. “Yang and the others will be fine if I’m not around. I dont have any plans with them tonight once I’m finished with homework.”

“That’s great!”

Ruby put up a nervous smile as she rubbed the back of her neck, fingers rubbing over a still healing spider bite. There was something about the sound of Cinder’s voice that felt… off… to her, but she still couldnt quite place why. There wasnt anything malicious about her excitement, even if Cinder seemed to have a death grip on her hand, nothing out of the ordinary with how cautious she was as other students passed by, always making sure to keep her away from others. And yet, it all still felt as if there was something glaringly wrong with her.

Cinder’s smile dropped to a look of worry as she pulled Ruby close. “Everything okay?”

“Y-yeah, lost in thought,” Ruby answered as she pulled away from Cinder to get to class. “I’ll see you once classes are done, alright?”

“Of course.”

Ruby smiled a bit as she walked into class, sitting down near her team. Her smile fell as she listened to them speak amongst themselves, voices still muffled as she tried to pay attention to Port’s class. It wasnt til class was half over that she realized her breathing was starting to become more shallow and her arms had started to shake.

“M-may I be excused?” Ruby asked quickly as she raised her hand.

Professor Port sighed, but gave a small nod. “Be quick.”

Ruby rushed out of class with her semblance and made her way to the nearest bathroom, nearly collapsing against the sink. Sweat dripped down her face as she took a few deep breaths to calm herself, eyes practically flashing as the light shined on them until the room was filled with a bright, silver light for a brief moment.

As her vision cleared, she saw a small string of grimm ash and smoke leave her through the healing spider bite. Once she could move again, she splashed some water on her face to wash away the sweat, arms still shaking as she took a few breaths. Once she felt calm enough, she started to make her way back to class, nearly pausing as everything seemed clear again. Faces that seemed blurry and voices that had been muffled could be heard clearly again, though names still seemed to be missing as she made her quietly into class.

“Everything okay, Rubes?” Yang asked.

“Y-yeah, I’m fine,” Ruby answered back in almost a half mumble, only now realizing how far away she sat from her team, three chairs between her and her sister. “I-I guess I’ve been in a bit of a funk today.”

Weiss rolled her eyes at Ruby. “So now you want to talk to us.”

“You can be a bit nicer to her,” Blake said in almost a hushed whisper to Weiss. “She clearly has something on her mind.”

“That doesnt mean she had to ignore us.”

Ruby went back to listening to Professor Port, taking notes as the haze around her seemed to slowly lift away, a few names coming back to her as she listened to her team. Though, her mind started to wander as she tried to find a few ways to explain what had been going on with her. A haze that clouded her mind, only able to focus on a few people enough to see them clearly, to hear them, only for others to think that she was pulling away or pushing them away by ignoring them.

With a heavy sigh, she wrote down Cinder’s name in her notes, circling it a few times as she quietly wrote a small question under the name.

No One Falls AU

In my AU, where nobody fell down the bridges, both Winter and Penny got severely injured. The girls (and surprisingly Neo) came just in the for the Schnee after defeating Cinder, who, again, ran with the relic after the massive silver eyes outburst Ruby had due Penny getting attacked. Jaune made it to Vacuo and started healing Penny there. After Team RWBY+ Neo and Winter got in Vacuo, it was just a matter of time till the Kingdom’s forces found them.

So yeah, Neo after getting by double-crossed by Cinder and saved by Ruby, doesn’t really know what to do now.

My drawing is Weiss having a breakdown due Penny and Winter’s conditions, she blames herself. I’ll give more details on later posts cus making an AU is very fun lol.

A Fond Farewell

With Rooster Teeth beginning its draw down, an era has truly passed. The company has lasted more than two decades. 18 (soon 19) seasons, five mini-series, and cameos and references in Halo itself for Red vs Blue. 9 volumes alongside two movies, a chibi series, Ice Queendom, and its own games for RWBY. And so much more beyond that, RT Shorts, podcasts, Achievement Hunter, The Slow Mo Guys, and on and on. That’s a lot, especially for a little startup launching off a web series. I was listening to “This Isn’t Goodbye, It’s See You Later” by Richie Branson while I was making this little memorial post. It’s a song made for another Rooster Teeth show, Camp Camp, and I have to say it’s some very appropriate music for this moment.

The day the news dropped, I wrote up a little comment in response to Rooster Teeth beginning its closing down, and I thought I’d share some of it here. I grew up with Rooster Teeth, a bit of a cheesy line I know, but it’s true for a lot of us. I was just a little kid way back in the early 2000’s, a kid that liked Halo (a game I didn’t even own for a long time, but played at a friend’s house), and was just getting curious about what I could find about it on YouTube. And that brought me into the world of music videos and skits and montages made for that little game I liked.

From there, I discovered a small web series called Red vs. Blue. I’d sneak onto my folk’s computer to watch it since they didn’t appreciate the language, and in doing so I dipped my toes into the wide world of the internet for the first time. As I got older, I eventually hopped onto Reddit for its discussion threads of Rooster Teeth’s latest show, RWBY. I began my first in-depth fandom interactions, speculating about the show, enjoying the flood of fanart, even got into fanfics about RWBY (those fics have had their own amazing evolution alongside the show) and to this day it’s the fandom I’ve followed and bookmarked the most fics from. All the while I was making friends and bonding with people through the community this company and its shows have created.

Watching the shows and people grow over time was, looking back on it, just like watching myself grow. I was never really a social media/internet kind of guy, until it came to Rooster Teeth. The shows, shorts, podcasts, it all opened up a whole new world for me. It’s sad to see it coming to a close, and I hope it gets picked up in the future. But I’m happy, too, that it’s left so much behind, and had such an impact on me. It’s left me with so many good memories. Rooster Teeth, its shows, those that created and worked on it, and above all the community around it will always have a special place in my heart.

So, I bid a fond farewell to Rooster Teeth and its crew, and anyone who may drift away from the fandom in time. I wish you all the best.

I want there to be a moment where Batman brings up the Joker and Ruby's like "Having a nemesis sounds exhausting. Imagine having one specific psycho declare themselves your designated biggest pain in the butt and devote their life to destroying you. I'm glad I don't have anything like that." And then somewhere in Remnant Cinder Fall doubles over as if stung in the heart by some unseen force.

Fallen Petals:

1. Ruby tends to, but usually waits for Cinder to acknowledge that she wants any. It takes a bit for Cinder to get used to being touched without being hurt.

2. For Cinder, it's getting up early in the morning. Ruby’s an early riser. Ruby though, struggles with Cinder’s night owl routine.

3. Soft and tender. Ruby and Cinder tend to be delicate with each other.

Snowfall:

1. Bold to assume either of them actually understand PDA. But, it's actually Cinder who initiates it after watching Weiss interact with her team and then surprises Winter with a hug. Suffice to say, it's like watching a feral cat interact with a lonely house cat

2. Winter immediately put herself into a different bedroom than Cinder so she didn't have to deal Cinder staying up late. Doesnt stop Cinder from nearly waking her up when climbing into bed anyway.

3. Hot and steamy. You could almost call it hate sex, but the two get passionate when they're in the mood and usually end up witch scratches and bite marks.

5. For Cinder and Winter it's quality time, though that quality time seems to differ. Cinder prefers it when they're doing hobbies while Winter prefers working out and doing missions with Cinder.

RWBY Versus XV: Jaune gives Yang Crocea Mors

Yang's eyes were burning red. Cinder ran towards the entrance to the vault, carrying a dazed Vernal in tow. She was about to chase when Jaune grabbed her arm.

"What the- Jaune, let me go!" Yang yelled, "She's about to get the Relic!"

"Just hold on a minute, Yang!" Jaune fired back, "What are gonna do exactly? Cinder sliced up your prosthetic away. You're no match for her right now!"

"We're running out of time here! You can't expect us to do nothing! Besides, she...." she felt a lump form in her throat, "She nearly killed Ruby..."

"Yang, listen to me for a second. I'm not saying to do nothing," Jaune paused for a moment and poured two vials of Burn Dust on Crocea Mors' blade. "I'm giving you a fighting chance. Here," he handed over his sword to Yang, who took it hesitantly.

"A-Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yeah. That fire will last about ten minutes. It should keep up with her Flame Tongues temporarily,"

Yang looked at the sword and back at Jaune. "What about you?"

Jaune showed her his fists and clenched them in determination. "I was planning on using these in a real fight anyway. Now's a good a time as any," Yang smirked and kissed him on the forehead before running down to the vault entrance. "Remember, it's only a rental!" He called, "I'm expecting that sword back in one piece,"

"Can't make any promises, Ladykiller," she responded. Yang gave him a two-finger salute before jumping down the vault. Jaune smiled in admiration.

n she probably did take it for granted at the start, but now that she’s had a talking to by watts and is realising she’s being used, she appreciates it more

give her time to be affectionate back and to compliment you back, she doesn’t know how to do this

but she learns to be a little more loving eventually
