HEY!! can i request five with an s/o that speaks spanish like it integrates into their speech AND THEY TALK TO DIEGO IN SPANISH SOMETIMES TOO i can’t stop thinking abt this lmao
Qué? | F. Hargreeves
Tumblr media
pairing: five hargreeves x reader
warnings: uh me writing in Spanish… yeah I apologize if it’s wrong I’m still learning but I provided what it’s supposed to say / translate too
requests: CLOSED
Masterlist | Taglist | Prompt list
five is between this is the hottest shit ever and I don’t understand
bc yeah he knows ancient greek but no he doesn’t know spanish
so he’s always thrown for a bit of a loop bc you’ll be talking about your day
“I was all like, oh no you don’t… y esta puta dijo ‘come mi polvo!’ puedes creer eso?”
( and this bitch said: ‘eat my dust.’ can you believe that? )
and five’s just… “what”
and you give him this look of like were you not listening to me??
and he has to gently tell you that you were speaking spanish for the last half
you don’t even notice tbh
sometimes it’s just words too
It’s not fully spanish, it’s like half the words in the sentence become spanish and he’s more confused
“I need a… camiseta in pink pero a skirt es bien too. yo no sé. what do you think?”
( I need a shirt in pink, but a skirt is good too. I don’t know )
five actively tries to carry around a spanish dictionary now and he’s picked up some phrases
he even downloaded a live translation app on his phone
but that’s bc he used diego for a while but then you had FULL conversation with him
and he can briefly hear “cinco” involved in them
now five might not know that much spanish but he knows his name
and he needs to know what you’re talking about
what if you’re talking shit about him to his brother?
what if his brother is talking shit about him to you?
It’s all very stressful, really
“cinco? cinco es muy guapo, diego”
( five? five is very handsome, diego )
“no, estas loca! es mi hermano”
( no, you’re crazy! he’s my brother )
“muy atractivo hermano”
( very hot brother )
“(Y/N)!”
he’s honestly a little jealous of diego
bc diego understands you and he knows how much nicer it is to speak a native language
and five hates not understanding you
which is why he’s forcing diego to teach him
also bc you yelling in spanish is way scarier than him yelling back in english
like he just looks stupid especially cause he doesn’t know what you’re saying
“tú estas ridiculeces! estas loco! por qué no tu podes escuchas a mi?!”
( you are ridiculous! you’re crazy! why can’t you listen to me?! )
“oh yeah? well listen here, I’m the winner”
“qué?”
( what? )
“never mind”
he loses every fight to you
but that’s also bc diego always takes your side
diego butts in on everything
and five’s learning spanish out of spite tbh
and for you ofc <3
he wants you to know how much he loves and cares about you
and to yell back at you
but mostly to say, “te amo.”
( I love you )

Let Go
five hargreeves x gn!reader
part two
part three
summary - getting teleported to the literal end of the world isn’t too fun, especially when you lose the person you came there with. (I might do a part 2?)
warnings - mention of death, cursing, angst, unaliving thoughts
note - this is set before viktor comes out, although i will be using his correct name and pronouns
Tumblr media
What you definitely were not expecting that day was to be dragged out by your best friend and start time traveling all willy-nilly. It was supper time for The Umbrella Academy last time you had checked, thus you were simply sitting on the balcony of the home you shared with your guardian(s), which just so happened to be two buildings over from the home of the Hargreeves ‘household’.
After your guardian discovered your powers that consisted of telekinetic abilities, they had started searching for a solution. For about a decade they had searched endlessly. A cure, something. Anything. When you were thirteen, they had barged into your room and proudly announced you two were moving. They found something. While the two of you were in the car, you were handed a magazine with six children on the front, deemed The Umbrella Academy.
“So, your solution is for me to join a group of superheroes?” You had asked skeptically, eyeing a particularly cute boy on the front. “After all the shit I’ve broken, I don’t think a superhero group would be the best for me.”
“Language,” they had said. “Mr. Hargreeves trained these children himself, not knowing their powers fully at first. He agreed to train you almost immediately after I told him of your capabilities. Wanna know what’s funny, too? Those children have the same exact birthday as you! Isn’t that wild?”
“…small world.” You sighed out.
Meeting the family was interesting to say the least. When you and your guardian first entered the building, a boy showed up and started yelling about how you were intruders, straight up tossing a knife at you from the doorframe. It swerved and about impaled your guardian in the chest, but it stopped when you furrowed your eyes at it and it flew back and stuck into the wall next to the boy.
That had been your first introduction to the kids you’d be spending pretty much all your time with. Reginald’s training was hardcore, that’s for sure. You remembered crying and throwing up countless times due to how hard he pushed you. However, there was one boy who was there to pull your hair back and offer you water when this happened.
Number Five.
He didn’t have a normal name like Luther or Klaus, which you found strange, but he tended to stick around.
One time you had asked him a question after he’d gotten you some water after another night of crying and throwing up your insides.
“Why do you help me so much?”
And his response was what made you decide that you wanted to stick with Five for a while.
“Well, unlike my siblings…you’re tolerable.” He had smiled ever so slightly at you. “You’re strong, even without Dad’s training. I sorta admire you, y’know? I dunno, maybe we could be partners or something like that.”
You and Five were partners in crime ever since then. You guys did everything together. Reginald didn’t seem to appreciate this, since apparently in his words…
“Being too close to somebody can jeopardize a mission. Friends, lovers, they are all just liabilities.”
The both of you weren’t meant to spend as much time together like you had been doing, but you were teenagers. One of which had the ability to teleport. Five always had a sort of brash and rebellious nature. He hated being told what to do. So when Reggie instructed him not to bother with his time travel idea, he was pissed. You knew Five had secretly developing this little formula and trying to time travel, you’d sometimes sit quietly in his room while he made calculations. You didn’t know if you liked his idea. Five was dead-set on it, and he got a little irritated when you spoke against it.
“Cinco, are you sure this is…the best idea?” You brought up the idea quietly, tearing your eyes away from the book you were reading.
“…” the only sound that you got back was the pen meeting the paper Five was meticulously writing upon.
“Five.” You spoke up a little, drawing him out of his little trance.
“Hm? I would really appreciate no interruptions, Eight.”
Of course, you weren’t officially in the Hargreeves family, and you didn’t have a tattoo or number. But Five always thought of you as a partner, thus he gave you an unofficial number.
“Yeah, I know.” You said, placing a bookmark in your book and laying it on the bed. “Just…I have a few…concerns.” You stood and walked to Five, laying a hand on his shoulder.
“What do you mean concerns?” He frowned, looking up at you.
“Well like…what if you get hurt or something y’know?” You voiced. “Like, yeah, time travel is awesome and all. Reggie could be right, you know.”
Five’s brows furrowed. “What? Come on, I know you’re better than that. He just doesn’t understand.” He sneered a little.
You shrugged. “I dunno, I guess I don’t understand either. I don’t want you risking your life over something like this.” You said with a sigh and decided to leave the conversation, not wanting to bother arguing with Five. He was a very stubborn boy. You picked up your book and continued reading.
Then you heard a familiar sound and a flash of blue light popped up in the corner of your eye. The mattress sunk down next to you and your book was suddenly taken out of your hands and tossed on the ground.
“Hey now,” Five’s hands were on your shoulders and he had you look at him. “I just need you to trust me, okay? We’re partners after all. Imagine all the amazing things I could do with this!” He said, hope shining in his eyes. “That we could do!”
You couldn’t stop a smile from appearing. “You’re so ambitious, Cinq.” You marveled, putting your hand on one of his. “You just have to promise you’ll be careful.”
“Always am, Huit.”
That didn’t turn out too well.
Five teleported to your balcony. “Come on. I think I have it figured out, and I am about to prove this old man wrong.” He grabbed your copy of Frankenstein from your hand and shoved it into his inside pocket before taking your now-empty hand.
“Five, what are you talking about?!” You asked as he kept a firm grip on your hand, a wave of nausea going over you as the boy teleported the both of you to the sidewalk, walking with you. His grip on your hand stayed tight, forcing you to up your pace to keep up with him.
“You’ll see, my dear friend.” He said with a mischievous grin. He sped up his pace and you heard the familiar warping sound of him teleporting, only this time…
The trees were red, brown, orange, and yellow. They fluttered to the ground and different people than before walked by.
“Five! Did you-” you stopped yourself when you saw a huge grin on your best friend’s face. His eyes shone like a thousand fireflies. You had never seen him this excited. “Can you do it again?!”
“Just what I wanted to hear, partner. Don’t let go of my hand, okay?”
After another flash of blue, a chill suddenly blew through your being. White, delicate snowflakes descended down from the gray clouds above. The trees were bare and not many people roamed the streets.
You laughed from excitement, joy, and adrenaline. You two were time-traveling. You didn’t think it would be possible.
“I think I underestimated you, my dear partner!”
“I told you so, didn’t I?” Five grinned, squeezing your hand, staring at the look of wonder in your eyes. Have you always had eyes like that? He wondered.
“Oh, Five! Can you take me somewhere else?” You laughed, touching some snowflakes that fluttered around the both of you.
“For you my dear friend, anywhere.” He breathed out, keeping his fast pace. “Just don’t let go!”
You both kept running and running, and you braced yourself for another change in scenery. Would it be springtime? How far could Five take both of you? You heard that familiar noise and then…
He let go.
As soon as you felt his warm hand disappear from yours, you stopped and took in the scenery around you. If you could even call it scenery.
More like hell.
The skies were muddied with dust, smoke and ash billowing up into the air casually. The buildings that were previously standing tall and proud had been reduced to rubble all around. The once lively and bustling city you were able to call home was now…nothing. Red and orange flames licked around the ground, the smoke coming from them causing you to begin coughing. Wind blew your hair into your face, but only one thought occurred to you.
Five.
A broken gasp escaped your throat, before crying out. “Five!” It was almost as if you’d forgot how to say anything else. “Five?! Five!” Without thinking, your legs started moving and you started wandering aimlessly. Screaming out his name until your throat went dry was all you could think to do. With every cry, hopelessness and despair pulled you down. Where could he have gone?
Tripping on a pile of rubble, wet tears fell down your face as you hit the ground. Five was nowhere to be seen. Blood slowly trickled down your nose from where you landed, and you glanced to where you had tripped. A scream was ripped from your throat from seeing the dirty, lifeless face of Klaus Hargreeves. You tried to fight against the thought that nobody was left, but you felt as if you had to face that reality. Not a single soul was left in sight.
With shaky hands, you used your power to lift the rubble away from Klaus’ face, flinching at the sight. Moving more bricks away, the bodies of the other members of the academy were discovered. Except for Five and Viktor. Where could they be? That thought lingering in your mind, you used your powers to create several holes in the ground before gingerly moving the corpses of your friends into them. You had no clue what had happened, but they’d always shown you a lot of kindness. You figured they deserved a proper burial.
Afterwards, thus began the waiting.
Waiting that Five would eventually come and save you. But you knew you couldn’t just sit and wait. You had to survive. For your partner. If he was still out there. It turns out, you were pretty damn good at surviving on your own. Food and water was very scarce, but luckily you were just one person. It was still hard, though. Being alone for so so long was slowly starting to drive you mad. You had absolutely nothing. Days passed, then months, then years. Every single day was filled with nothing but despair. You began talking to yourself, since you had nobody else to talk to. You knew you were pretty much going crazy, but there wasn’t anything you could do about it.
It had been 40 years.
40 years you counted by using tally marks. 40 years of scavenging for food, water, anything. 40 years of pure isolation.
Your stomach ached. It had been a while since you’d found something to eat. You gently lifted your hands and brought yourself into the air with your powers, scanning the whole area but finding nothing. Your eyes eventually averted down. What would happen if you let go? Right now? You would fall to your death, and maybe not have to deal with this anymore. Would you see Five? You had no clue what happened to him, but you knew that you’d give anything to see his face again.
“Hello! How about you come down from there, sweetheart?”
You yelped and accidentally let go of yourself. Right before you touched the ground you remembered to catch yourself, and you discovered you were staring at the heeled shoes of a slim woman, smoking a very thin cigarette. She definitely did not look like she belonged in the apocalypse. She held a briefcase in her other hand, which hadn’t been damaged in the slightest. Where had she come from?
You pulled yourself away with your powers and stood in a fighting stance.
“Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?!” You barked at the woman, and her red lips smiled calmly at you.
“No need to be so aggressive, dear (Y/n).” She crooned, almost like a mother addressing her child.
“How the hell do you know my name, lady?!” You snapped, not lowering your defensive attitude.
“I’ve come to offer you a deal, is all. A job. A way out of here.”
Turns out, this woman was called The Handler. She worked at this strange place called The Commission, where they dealt with all things time-related. Making sure certain events happened the way they should. You were confused as to why or how The Handler found you. Why you? Her response made you feel something you hadn’t felt in a long time.
“I believe you’re familiar with a Five Hargreeves? He requested we find his partner.”
Hope.

Doctor Who
run, boy, run (the Umbrella Effect) by @ford-ye-fiji I Part 1-13 I Series Completed Crack Treated Seriously, AU - Fusion, Time Travel, Number Five | The Boy is So Done, Action/Adventure, Angst and Hurt/Comfort
Two unlikely allies, familiar in more ways than they can imagine, join forces in a series of happy accidents. And then things get really complicated very fast.
The Walking Dead
From One Apocalypse to Another by y_oruko I Chapters: 17/? I Crack Treated Seriously, BAMF Five | The Boy, BAMF Rick, AU- Canon Divergence, Five has beef with almost everyone, Eventual Found Family, The Walking Dead Season 5
Five lost his siblings to the void of time when he recklessly tried bringing them all to travel back in time. It bit him in the ass and threw him into a world where apparently zombies were real. The universe sure loved to screw him over. Rick didn't know what to expect when he followed the priest into a church, but it's certainly not a homicidal teenager.
Tumblr media
The Four Horsemen by @silverwolf3432 I Chapters: 24/30 I Five | The Boy/Original Female Character - Dolores, Whump, Original Character Death(s), Hurt/Comfort, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Torture
Instead of waiting 28 years, the Handler plucks a 15-year-old boy from the rubble of the Apocalypse and trains him to be a killer. So Five knows. He knows what it’s like to live through hell, to be broken down and made back up again, to be stripped of everything. He understands and he can relate to the torture Reginald Hargreeves put his siblings through after he disappears, even if they claim he never could. He knows because he went through it too. Because before he worked alone, there was Dolores. Because before he was the best, they were the best. Because before it was just Five, they were the Four Horsemen.
The Five Whistle by @i-logophile I Chapters: 1/1 I one shot Hurt Five | The Boy, Creepy The Handler, AU- Canon Divergence, Episode: s02e05 Valhalla
“What the hell was that?” Five tried to demand, but his breathlessness ruined the effect. The Handler grinned. “What? This little thing?” she asked, pulling a long, thin device from within the folds of her coat. “This is just a little something I had cooked up back at Headquarters just for you.” She twisted the end of the device. In response, the fabric of space released an unearthly howl of agony, making Five’s legs collapse beneath him. Then it stopped, and a shadow fell over him. “Now about that assignment,” The Handler said, gazing down at him with a predatory grin. – After the Hargreeves’ disaster of a family meeting, Five is still pacing the alley outside of Elliott’s when he’s confronted by The Handler. She presents her offer, but since it’s not his only option just yet, Five declines. However, The Handler isn’t so easily denied, and she decides to use a little something from the Commission to convince Five to rethink his decision.
The Lonely Lodger Inn by @i-logophile I Chapters: 1/1 I one shot Blood and Violence, Gore, BAMF Five | The Boy, Feral Five | The Boy, Episode: s02e07 Öga for Öga
"Ben, are you crazy?! We just watched Número Cinco go fucking apeshit on a room full of random people and—” “What if he had a good reason for it?” Ben interrupted, crossing his arms. “What if they were bad guys or something? Ever think of that?” Klaus scoffed. “‘Bad guys’? Really, Ben? We’re not thirteen anymore.” “Exactly, so use your brain, moron. Why would Five just go around murdering people in the ’60s?” “Oh, I don’t know, because he’s fucking psycho?! He’s probably all screwed up from time travel or something! Who knows what kind of shit—” “Klaus.” “What?” “He can hear you.” -- Or, what if the Board meeting was somewhere in Dallas, and one of Five’s siblings stumbled upon the massacre as it was taking place?
Crocodile Tears by @i-logophile I Chapters: 1/1 I one shot Five | The Boy Cries- but it’s “pretend”, Kidnapping, Drugging, Angst, hurt/some comfort, Post-Season/Series 02, The Commission. Number Five | The Boy Needs A Hug
A plan took shape in Five’s mind. It wasn’t one he particularly liked, and it would be unequivocally humiliating, but with the Commission coming and their powers shot to hell for the foreseeable future, Five couldn’t think of any other option. Didn’t change the fact that he despised crying. -- Five pretends to cry to get an enemy to lower their guard—emphasis on “pretend.” His siblings don’t catch on. After getting over their shock, they become unnecessarily distressed and proceed to flutter around Five like neurotic chickens. Oh, and some people die, but that was kind of the plan all along.
Can you hug me as I go? by maddienole I Chapters: 10/10 I Completed Five | The Boy Whump, Non-Consensual Drug Use, Flashbacks, AU- Canon Divergence, Hurt/Comfort, Angst
What if the FBI captured Five instead of Vanya? 2x7 canon divergence.
Misfortunes with The Sea by @euoniatz I Chapters: 6/6 I Completed Dark Five | The Boy, BAMF Five | The Boy, AU - Canon Divergence, Number Six | Ben Hargreeves Lives - eventually, The Sparrow Academy, Hurt No Comfort, Whump
Five doesn’t hold back anymore, doesn't think he could limit himself again now even if he wanted to. His eyes glow, never to be denied again, and the space around him shifts as if someone is pinching and pulling reality by force. The Boy tries not to laugh, but he feels incredible on a level he has always, during the sad expanse of his life, thought impossible. * When the Hargreeves return from the 60s, Five is already at the end of his rope. He swears off killing, only to find their deceased father in the living room, disapproving as ever. Add six mediocre replacements and a ghost coming back to haunt them and you've got yourself a desperate time traveler whose grip on reality is slipping. Five is willing to sacrifice his own humanity for the sake of his siblings, but is his humanity really the most important thing he could lose? How much power can he afford to let loose before he loses control himself? Will his family even want him after everything is settled?

From the Shadows
[Five Hargreeves x Reader]
[Part I] [Part II] [Part III] [Part IV] [Part V]
Summary : The rain falls, love pours.
Warning : None? Romanticism?
Tumblr media
They say, waiting is the hardest part.
Even so, you have curated it into an art form.
Like the drag of a bow against a violin, the seconds press upon your skin and stretch. You cry freely in wait, letting the teardrops fall to the rhythm of xylophone. The chords of your heart pull in earnest, the beats hum with the sting of ache.
A walking symphony you've become. Waiting given skin.
Delores, on the other hand, has dissipated to someplace else. She came to you in the library—
“Hello."
Your gaze snaps. What the—
Swallow the venom. "Hello…?"
"Mind if I sit?" she questions, pointing a finger at the chair adjacent to yours.
"So…" you encourage her, brow raised.
"I wanted to apologize," she starts, there's a nervous ring to her dulcet voice that doesn't go unnoticed by you. "About Five," she clarifies, brow crinkling in unclear pain as she utters his name.
Oh no.
"I—"
She cuts you off with a subdued whisper of, "Please." A soft inhale, she composes herself. "I never wanted to cause friction between the two of you." She smiles, and it's such a weird sight for you, to see a smile that's so full of comforting reassurance and abandoned hope.
"You didn't do anything," you reply at once. Even though she did, you cannot fathom saying as such, not after that smile.
She shakes her head. "Oh, but I did." A sheen of tears coats her blue eyes. "I came to you not just to apologize, but to tell you that—He's beautiful, completely magnificent—" You gulp at the clear reverence present in her tone. Tear stained gaze trail over at you. "—and entirely yours."
Your breath is lost to hope. Your conscience, however, aches at her despondency.
Tentatively, you let your hand curl around her wrist, squeezing. "He cares about you, Delores."
"I know," she states, looking down. "But, love recognizes love. I see my eyes reflected by him when he looks at you."
You don't know what to say to that.
"It's alright." She stands. And there's that smile on her face again. She lifts her hand, thumb brushing under your eye, a tear you have no recollection of shedding. "It's alright," she repeats, for you or herself? Perhaps both.
Oh Delores, what a fitting name.
It was a closure you hadn't known you needed.
You'd mentioned the encounter to Klaus—Who'd loudly proclaimed that Five had been ignoring her, too.
You wonder whether you would have been able to tread these waters of waiting and enjoy it if he hadn't been ignoring her too.
A road best left alone.
It's been months. Months. You haven't talked, but you see him through the curtains of melancholic yearning. By the corridors, in the class, he's everywhere all at once.
Although, no place is his presence as keenly felt as the hidden crevices of your breaths.
It all boils down to the fact that you love him, so much so that you will wait for him, as long as he wants you to.
The rumbling of thunder outside your window catches your attention.
Head whipping to peer out the window—the sight of dark nimbus clouds rolling over, brings a giddy smile to your face.
It's going to rain.
Squealing, you take off.
It's late— way past midnight. The first thing you take note of once you come down, is the emptiness of the street, not a soul in sight. Streetlights bath the area in golden hue as the breeze picks up.
The scene reminds you of a memory.
"Come on, Cinco dear," you yell, looking over your shoulder at Five.
He was standing under shelter, away from the rain, away from you.
"I'd rather not get sick," he responds dryly. Hands crossed at the front, frowning. "Neither should you."
"Oh, Cinco, Cinco, Cinco," you tut. Jumping in a puddle. "You would understand when you fall in love, the beauty of rain."
"What does falling in love have to do with this?"
"You would have understood had you been in love!"
"Are you saying that you're in love?" He queries.
Oh, I'm in pain. But pain and love run parallel.
You don't say that, what you say instead is, "Wouldn't you like to know?"
The memory tugs a nostalgic smile on your face.
"Knock, knock."
The sudden appearance of his achingly familiar voice startles you out of your reverie. Five.
You turn. Heart jostling underneath your rib cage, thumping, thumping, thumping.
And there he is.
Standing a few feet away. Hands shoved in the pockets of his black trousers, adorning a white shirt with sleeves rolled up. He has let go of his usually formal look, you note, no coat in sight.
"Just go along with it."
You frown, half amused and confused. "What are you doing here?"
He smirks, raising a brow. "Knock, knock," he says, a bit more deliberate.
Rolling your eyes, you reply, "Who's there?"
His expression shifts. Biting the inside of his cheek before he continues, "Love."
Your being comes to a standstill. The beat of your heart pounds loudly in your ear, blood rushing through. You gulp. "Love who?"
This is it. This is it. This is it.
He makes sure to look you in the eye. Makes sure to wrap the word in nectar, immortalised. "You."
The finality of his tone rings through the empty street, the breeze carries the confession and brushes it against your skin, slow and steady.
Your heart gives a trill. And try as you might, nothing could stop the upward curl of your lips.
A giggle escapes you. You slap your hand against your mouth. It does nothing to smother the sound.
Misty eyed, you twirl in place, it feels so, so impossible.
This is happening?
Your gaze locks on his form. Still standing there, his eyes on you, fond and affectionate.
You run towards him.
Hands clasping around his neck, as his finds purchase on your waist, in a blink he is lifting you up, spinning. The laughter that echoes is a duet of happiness. Yours and his.
Yes, this is happening.
You hide your face in the crook of his neck, eyes closed, feeling the world turn over itself.
Even when he settles you down, neither of you let go of each other.
The bearings of your surroundings hit you slowly.
The telltale sound of pelting rain, the heady mix of the smell of petrichor and storm, the feel of rain on your skin.
"Is it raining?" your voice is but a whisper against his neck.
Five pulls back. "Ah, yes. Rain."
Brow crinkling, you peer up at him. "Why—"
His next action has your words turning to mush.
Taking a step back, he goes down on a knee. Extending his hand, cocky smirk on display, he asks, "Would you give me the supreme honor, and dance with me?"
And right there, in the pouring rain, with him and his cocky smirk, and loving eyes, you feel yourself falling a little more.
"Yes."
For centuries, I have loved—
Your hand slipping into his— the simple act feels akin to getting a hold of an anchor in the middle of an ocean. With a soft tug, he pulls you close, your free hand comes to rest on his shoulder.
"What about music?"
"Nature's singing for us, and…" he trails off, at your raised brow he replies with that adoring smile of his.
And then he starts to hum.
I love him.
Loved none but you,
He pulls back—fluid and smooth in his movements—hands gliding down from your shoulder to your hand, before gripping them again, tugging and turning you.
From the Shadows.
Your back to his front as you both sway to the twined beats of your hearts and the rain. Your eyes close upon the feather-light touch of his nose against your cheek.
You and I are a story,
In a swift, he turns you, making your hands clasp around his neck. The cold wind tickling your back is captured under his fingers as they trail down your back, settling at your waist.
a story written in the sands of time,
A shiver races down your spine, chasing after the touch. Your neck cranes up, eyes locking with his. The raindrops wink from his lashes, before dripping down, nestling on the corner of your lips, and you're lost.
the rain is the witness and so is the sky,
This love has been similar to a tornado, thundering and lightning in warning since the beginning. You willingly stepped into it because the despairing tsunami of longing within you was courageous enough to brave the storm and reach the eye. Him.
a promise held fragile.
He lifts his right hand— honey and silk are his fingers as they trail from your jaw towards your cheek. His other hand curls firmly around your waist, you blink.
Because you see—
In a languid move, he dips you. Holding your stare, nose brushing. Lightning strikes violet behind him, the storm is in his eyes.
These centuries, I have loved—
You settle against his left side in such a way that it seems half of him is you. His hand at your waist pulls you closer, solidifying your presence.
Loved none but you,
You rest your forehead on his cheek, eyes falling shut. Your free hand grazes his—in a mock dance hold—not touching, but rather dwelling.
From the Shadows.
In these seconds of love, the moon peeks out from behind the clouds, shining down on the two of you.
But then again, the shadows have been the witnesses since the start of it all, so as the circle completes, the confession too shall be whispered into them—
"I love you."

And yes, I am definitely planning a fic for that one! Excited about it ngl.
What do you guys think about this though?
The poem? I have written in bold there is—
For centuries, I have loved— Loved none but you, From the Shadows. You and I are a story, a story written in the sands of time, the rain is the witness and so is the sky, a promise held fragile, because you see— These centuries, I have loved, Loved none but you, From the shadows.
Doesn't really feel like a poem though, I wrote it just on a whim I guess? I felt it went along with the atmosphere. Tell me if it doesn't, I'll remove the part.
I really, really hope you guys enjoy this.
Thankyou! ❤

a little detail I liked that Season 3 confirmed is that Five's name is genuinely the number five and not the English word 'five', both to himself and to others, with Delores calling him 'Cinque' in Italian and Klaus calling him 'Cinco' in Spanish (Season 3 Five brought to you by Romance languages, I guess)
between the relative impermanence of that and the fact that out of all the children that Reginald raised, Umbrellas and Sparrows alike, Five is the only one that does not have the Hargreeves name, it means that something that he was given to strip him of his identity and personhood has become just that, but it is also something half-formed, another fossilised remainder of childhood, a reminder that he never fully got to grow out of the number, never truly got to become a normal person with the bare minimum of humanity - a name

❝Is this guardian a Jedi?❞
They danced. As the world continued to end around them, they danced together. Y/n still had a sinking feeling in her chest, and as the seconds went on, it got deeper. She sighed. Sloane and Luther continued to sway in the middle of the floor. Allison and Ben sat at a table together. Viktor and Klaus did their own subtle dance. Lila and Diego danced together under the blue dotted lights.
Y/n felt someone tap her shoulder, and she looked up. Diego was standing behind her, “May I take her away for a dance?”
Five looked down. His chest felt empty without her leaning on it. Y/n smiled, and Five sighed, “You may.”
Y/n took Diego’s hand and let him pull her into a clumsy dance. She watched Five go back to the table. She felt Diego step on her shoes multiple times and chuckled, “God, you are awful at this.”
“Well, Klaus was always my partner.” Diego replied, “You don’t learn much when your partner is giggling and not listening.”
She smiled and took the lead. Diego’s cheeks flushed in embarrassment, but he let her lead him in a waltz. Y/n chuckled every time he would accidentally trip over his own feet. They danced until they were out of breath. Diego smiled before twirling her. Her hair flipped, and she laughed before letting go of his hand to sit beside Five at the table. She could smell the alcohol on him.
Y/n pulled out the chair on Five’s right and grabbed a glass of water. She knew that if Five kept drinking, someone would have to take care of him. The glass had condensation on it, and it left her fingertips wet. It thudded against the plastic table. Five was eating beside her. Klaus was wandering around with a champagne flute.
“Cinco! Ocho!” Klaus did finger guns, “Mi Hermano. Mi Hermana.”
“Oh, God.” Five muttered as Klaus sat down on his left, “What do you want?”
“Listen to me. Dad is upstairs right now with a plan to save everything. So what say we pop up to the suite for a little chitchat?”
Five narrowed his eyes, “Are you like Frick and Frack with the old man now?”
“This dad's different. He's a turtle.” Klaus said, “Hard on the outside, but all cute and wrinkly and occasionally delicious on the inside.”
“I’ll believe it when I see it,”
“Klaus?”
“Yeah?”
Five took a sip of champagne, “Old dogs like me and him never change. He has never had our best interests at heart.”
“So, my only plan for tonight is to get fucked up beyond all recognition,” Five continued, “And make love to my wonderful girlfriend.”
Y/n choked on her water, “For fucks sake.”
“I love you too, sweetheart.”
“Sure.” Klaus clinked their glasses, “Have at it.”
“I shall!”
She shook her head and placed her cup down. Five continued to eat beside her. Klaus looked over at Diego and Lila. Y/n watched Lila come over and mutter something. She tilted her head at them. Then Chet walked around with an old camera. She watched him press the button, and a white flash filled her vision.
Cameras flashed on every block on the way back to the Academy. A thirteen-year-old Y/n sat in the back of the limousine. Ben sat beside her. He had blood all over his uniform and his hands. Five sat in front of her, and Klaus was on his left. She picked at the blood beneath her nails. Her hair was matted with blood, and it stained her cheeks. She could feel it drying. It made her feel sticky.
Y/n looked out the window. Fans lined up on every sidewalk with posters, cosplays, and signs. Most fans had Spaceboy, The Rumor, and The Boy posters. Some kids had The Horror posters. One kid had even dressed up like him. Ben was horrified. She saw very few of the Séance and the Kraken. Y/n knew they weren’t trendy. Not one kid or teen had anything to do with her.
The Curse was precisely that, a Curse. She felt the weight of the pistol on her hip and sighed. She sat crossed-legged in the back as Ben fidgeted. She could hear Allison and Diego arguing in the front. Luther said nothing in the passenger seat. Five and Klaus whispered together. Ben didn’t like to talk. Y/n appreciated it. She wasn’t fond of talking.
Her uniform was splattered all over. It was no longer navy blue. She had been too close when Allison exploded a man’s mind. Y/n was instantly covered in his blood. Allison didn’t look the slightest apologetic and ran off to Luther. She sighed and wiped her face with her sleeve. It turned darker instantly. She turned to see Five being cornered by a man and tucked her hair away.
Diego’s knife was left on the ground. Y/n picked it up and threw it at one of the men, and he crumbled to the floor. Five looked baffled as the other collapsed with no warning. He looked down to see Y/n clenching her fist. She looked determined, “What the hell are you waiting for, Number Five? Get off your ass!”
Y/n heard a wisp, and he was gone. She held out her hand, and the knife flew back into her palm. It was covered in blood. She wiped it on her skirt before throwing it to Diego. He caught it seamlessly, “You know, you could be nicer to him, yeah?”
“I saved his life,” She retorted, “That’s plenty nice.”
He snorted. She saw Klaus get distracted. A man was reloading his gun, and Y/n walked over to him. She kicked him on the back of the knees, and they buckled. Y/n grabbed the gun from his hand and shot him in the back of the skull. She looked up and shook the hair out of her face. Klaus had wide eyes, and Y/n unloaded the gun before throwing it out, “Watch your ass, Number Four.”
She whipped around at a gun firing. Behind her, a bullet was flying threw the room toward her. Y/n huffed and turned it around. It penetrated the man’s chest and hit the wall behind him. Everyone stared. Y/n knew she looked ridiculous. Her foot was on a dead man’s neck, with blood covering every inch of her body. She walked away from the man and looked around the room. She heard Diego whistle.
“Thank god, let’s get the fuck out of here.”
Y/n walked toward the entrance and threw the doors open. The flashes blinded her. They were bright white, and all she could hear was clicking. People crowded the gate, and she navigated through them. Everyone followed behind her to the road where the limousine waited. Y/n growled with frustration.
“Get the fuck out of the way!” She yelled, “We would all like to go home now.”
People parted on the steps, and she sighed. Her shoes left bloody footprints all down the stairs. Y/n opened the car door and walked to the back row. It was a twenty-minute drive to the Academy. Everyone exited in number order. Y/n watched them exit. Luther had no blood on him. Diego had some on his cheek. Allison had some splatters on her arm. Klaus had none. Five had some on his face. Ben had some on his uniform and hands. Y/n exited the car covered from head to toe with blood.
Reginald held out his cane and stopped her from entering the Academy. She backed up from the doors and narrowed her eyes. Then she felt her knees give out. He’d hit the back of her knees with his cane, and the crowd was laughing like it was entertainment. She growled and went to stand, but he hit her again. Y/n was tired, sticky, and annoyed. She looked up to see Ben, Vanya, and Diego in the door window.
Y/n felt a burning pain on her back and her hands slid against the sidewalk. Her palms burned, and he slammed his cane down on her back. No one complained or yelled for her. No one cried for the villain. No one wanted to save the villain. Her head was pushed down, and all she heard was laughing before everything darkened.
She shook her head. She felt her heart pound beneath her chest. Y/n pushed out of her chair, and Five furrowed his eyebrows, “You okay?”
“Yeah,” Y/n pushed in her chair, “I’m just going to get some air.”
Five nodded, and Y/n walked out of the banquet hall onto a balcony. The air hit her face. It was warm and soothing. The patio had yellow string lights going across the top. Big rocks made a small railing for the area. She sighed, and her hands trembled. Y/n walked up to the rocks and leaned on them. She looked up and saw the Kugelblitz looming over the building. Y/n grabbed the Rubik cube from her pocket.
It had been a long time. Reginald stopped the treatment after she came back from the Commission. There were no stars anymore—just orange gas. Y/n looked down at the cube in her hand. It was familiar and felt light in her hand. She remembered yearning for one in Dallas, where everyone thought too much. She stared down at her hands. If she looked long enough, she could see the blood on them.
It was never hers. Sometimes she wished it was. Y/n turned her back to the rocks and sat down on one of them. It was smooth and cool to the touch. She leaned her cheek against the wall of rock. It cooled her skin. She sighed and closed her eyes. Y/n heard the surrounding noises left. Trees swayed, music played inside the banquet hall and the faint rumbling.
Y/n felt herself dozing and heard the ocean. She wished she could see it one last time. She looked up to see the stars glittering at her. It all felt like a subtle tease of what could’ve been. It felt nice to sleep. It felt nice to let go of the sinking feeling for two hours while her body dozed. She woke up when someone opened the door again. It was Diego and Lila. They smiled at her and sat on another rock to her left.
Lila laid her head in Diego’s lap, and Diego leaned back against the rocks. Five was next to stumble out with a bottle of alcohol in his hand. Y/n chuckled, and Five perked up. His face lit up, and he came to sit beside her. She felt him snuggle against her left arm. Viktor gave a sheepish smile before sitting on the rocks. Five offered Y/n the bottle, and she shook her head. Luther and Sloane were next.
“Hey, guys.”
Y/n gave a subtle wave. They sat between Viktor and Diego. Luther sat on the back rocks, and Sloane sat between his legs beneath him. She felt someone nudging her, and Five was nosing at her arm. Y/n chuckled and brought it around his shoulders. She saw Klaus and Ben exit the building next.
“Oh, no, no, no, no!” Diego shook his head, “No!”
Five grimaced, “Klaus, why are you bringing Ben here?”
“Hear me out before-“
“Hear him out,” Ben said.
“The brother that you all knew as Ben is gone. And not- I don't mean our Ben, the nice Ben. I mean this, Ben.” Y/n tilted her head, “The asshole, he's gone now. Gone.”
Luther furrowed his eyebrows, “Klaus, what are you talking about?”
“And the man that stands in front of you is new new Ben, and he's one of us, and he's a member of the team. And he's part of the family!” They both laughed.
“And as a welcome gift, I suggest we throw him off the roof.” Five said.
“Yeah. I'll help.”
“You know what? You know what?” Luther replied, “He can stay. He can stay.”
“Why?”
“'Cause, it's my wedding day, man.” Luther retorted, “Come on. He can stay.”
Ben and Klaus exclaimed happily as they sat in front of Viktor. Five took another swig of the bottle. Y/n gently took it from him and placed it on her other side. Five didn’t seem bothered. He just snuggled into her side. She carded her fingers through his hair. Y/n stared at the orange and pink sky.
“Hey, you know something?” Luther called, “Tonight is all I ever really wanted.”
Diego snorted, “To get hitched?”
“Just… everybody coming together when it really matters.”
“One big real family.”
Y/n felt a jolt at her side, and Five was standing up. She watched him almost fall forward before catching himself. He coughed. Everyone laughed, “Whoa! Whoa!”
“Oh, I think I'm gonna hurl.”
Y/n snickered as he looked around cluelessly, “Actually, uh, I think I'm hungry. See ya, guys. I'm gonna hit the buffet.”
Five walked back inside. Viktor looked at Y/n, “Is he gonna be okay?”
“I dunno,” Y/n shrugged.
“It's Five.” Diego replied, “What do you think?”
She blew a raspberry and got up, “Thank you for tonight. Congratulations, Luther and Sloane.”
“Thank you.”
Y/n got up and walked into the banquet hall. She looked around, and Five was nowhere to be seen. She sighed and walked to the elevator. She clicked floor six and felt it move beneath her feet. It took two minutes before the doors opened again. Y/n walked down to room nineteen and pulled the key from her pocket. The door clicked open, and she locked it behind her. Y/n sighed.
She took off the belt and placed it on a table. Her knife, wallet, first aid kit, and Rubik cube were on top. She unlaced her shoes and kicked them off. Then, she walked to the bottom bunk and pulled the comforter before slipping beneath it. Her head hit the pillow and her eyes closed. The beach was so soothing. She felt the waves at her feet and the sand beneath her. Y/n ran her fingers through the sand and felt it dissolve into the beach beneath her.
She felt the spritz of water hit her cheeks. It was cooling, refreshing, and sweet. It was like being on vacation after a long year at work. It felt like waking up on a Saturday after a long week. It was a cold glass of water at twilight. It was reading on an autumn day in the shade. It was watching the sun set and rise. It was everything she needed.
Y/n squeezed her eyes closed when the light drifted in. The curtains had been thrown open days ago, and she forgot to close them. She groaned and threw the comforter off. She slid her legs off the side of the mattress and felt a heavy weight on her chest. Y/n rubbed her eyes and tucked her hair back. She looked out the window to see nothing but orange light.
She padded over to her shoes and laced them up. Y/n grabbed her belt and wrapped it around her waist. The first aid kit went into her back left pocket, the Rubik cube in her right, and the knife in her front right. She left the wallet. Y/n looked into a mirror and flattened her hair before walking out of the room. She put the key in her front left pocket and walked to the elevator. It took three minutes to reach the lobby.
Everyone aside from Viktor and Five was in the sitting area to the left of the doors. Y/n tilted her head, “Where’s Five?”
“Outside.”
Y/n nodded and walked through the revolving doors. He was sitting with his legs hanging off the edge of the world. A bottle was placed beside him. She recognized it as the same bottle from the night before. Y/n shoes made crumbling noises against the broken asphalt. She sat on his right, and he held out the bottle.
“No, thanks.”
Five quirked an eyebrow, “You don’t drink or smoke. How do you even have fun?”
“You’re an asshole, sometimes.”
“Well, what’s your secret?”
She crossed her arms, “Drinking and smoking are delaying the inevitable. I’d rather get over it than delay it.”
Five took another swig of the bottle, “I saw something last night.”
“I’m surprised,” Y/n replied, “You seemed pretty drunk.”
“Reginald made a deal with someone.”
Y/n tilted her head, “A deal? What kind of deal?”
“I don’t know. I only got the ass end of the conversation, and I didn’t see who it was with.”
“I haven’t felt right lately,” Y/n said, “There’s a sinking feeling in my gut, and I’ve always listened to it before, but right now, I can’t figure out what it is. But, I don’t think this deal will end with anything good.”
Five took her hand in his and squeezed, “I’ve always trusted you. I trusted you as a kid, on missions, in the apocalypse, at the Commission, back in twenty-nineteen, and in Dallas. I will always trust you; we will figure it out together if you think this deal is trouble. You’ve never steered me wrong before.”
“You make it sound like I have you wrapped around my finger.”
“You do,” He took another sip, “I’m not ashamed.”
She chuckled and squeezed his hand. He did the same. Y/n heard footsteps and perked up. An older man was leaving the hotel. He had slick back grey hair and a monocle. He wore black pants, shoes, a blazer, and a tie. He had on a patterned vest and white button-up beneath it. He held a book in his right hand.
“Reginald.”
“I take it you know why I'm here.”
“How 'bout we save you some time? Give you the ‘no’ upfront.” Five replied, “We’re not interested in this bullshit plan you've been cooking.”
Reginald deadpanned, “It's not, as you so colorfully called it, bullshit.”
Y/n rolled her eyes and grabbed the bottle from Five’s hand. She took a swig before putting it down on the asphalt, “Mind if I join you?”
“I’d prefer you didn’t,” Y/n said as he sat down, “However, it seems like you don’t give a shit regardless.”
Five handed Reginald the bottle. He took a small sip and grimaced, “Dear God!”
Five hummed, “Louis XIII, it ain’t.”
“I've had worse,” Reginald replied and looked forward, “It is impressive, isn't it?”
“All the ways we could have screwed the pooch, this way is the most complete. I'm relieved, actually. This time, everything goes.” He took his hand and put his arm around Y/n’s shoulders, “There's no Commission, no leaping away. No life spent going mad with the desperation to see a familiar face.”
“I've seen worlds end in ways that would knock your socks off, old man."
Five deadpanned, “Wow! Reginald Hargreeves, you never cease to surprise me.”
“That is some comfort.” Reginald said, “You know, they all run together after a while. But you never forget your first. Your home. Your original sin. You never stop wondering, ‘Did I do enough to save the people I loved?’”
“Did you?”
“No, but I was hoping you children could help me out with that.”
Y/n took another sip from the bottle, “And there it is!”
“Sorry, Reg.” Five replied, “I got a message from the future.”
“What future?”
“My future self told me very explicitly not to save this world.”
Reginald laughed, “You are an arrogant son of a bitch, aren't you? ‘Future you.’ ‘Present you.’ The past is as much a mystery as the future.”
Five took a long sip from the bottle and held Y/n closer to him. Reginald narrowed his eyes, “You ruined your life once before by not listening to me. Are you prepared to do that again?”
“Hey asshole,” Y/n spat, “Maybe if you weren’t trying to hold him back or gave him the training he needed, he would’ve listened.”
He kissed her temple and sighed, “Fine, I'll attend your stupid meeting.”
“And you?”
“I’ll listen.”
“Excellent!”
Reginald stood up, and Five glared, “If you tell me what happened with you in the Buffalo Suite last night. Whom were you talking to? Was it Klaus? Was it Ben?”
“No one. I was alone.” Reginald said, “Though I doubt you were in any condition to remember.”
Y/n narrowed her eyes. Reginald gave her a subtle smile, “We should go. Don't want to be late for the meeting.”
Five looked forward, “I would move if I were you.”
“What,” Five asked, “Are you threatening us?”
Y/n felt the ground beneath her shake, and she stood up. She pulled Five’s arm, and he was pulled back. The land they had been sitting on fell from the earth. She heard him sigh and looked down at where they had been sitting. Her heart pounded. Reginald smirked.
“Shall we?”
She shook her head. Five followed Reginald into the hotel. Y/n followed closely behind them. She let them walk through the revolving door together and followed behind them. When she walked in, she heard everyone cheering from the same place they had been. Diego, Lila, Sloane, and Luther sat on a couch together. Viktor was seated on a chair to the right of the sofa. Ben and Klaus sat together on a round couch. Allison sat on a luggage cart.
“Woo! Five! Yeah!”
Luther clapped loudly, “Here he is!”
Diego snickered, “That speech last night! Wow!”
“Brought me to tears, you big softy,” Lila said.
“I especially liked when you referred to us as a family bound by destiny and love,” Viktor replied.
Y/n tilted her head, and Diego smiled, “Oh, shorty, you missed it! Five made a fantastic speech last night at the wedding-“
“Okay. Enough.” Five said, “It was the booze talking. In the light of day, you're all still deplorable.”
She coughed, and Five turned around, “Not you.”
Five walked toward a cushioned chair in the back. As he passed Lila, she jumped up and held her arms out. Five ignored them and walked to the chair. Y/n walked around the other side and sat beside him. He put his arm around her. Reginald stood before them, “And your day's about to get worse.”
“The Norse had eight sleepers. The Blackfoot, eight stars. As a boy, I heard the legend of the eight bells.” He explained, “All these stories are the same. The village is under threat by flood, by fire, by a night that never ends. A shaman brings his disciples to a sacred cave. He tells them if they can ring the eight magic bells, the village will be saved, and all will be restored just as it was.”
Lila raised her hand, “Reggie? Can we get a little less Brothers Grimm and more ‘What the hell does this have to do with us?’”
“There is a truth to these myths. None of you can deny what's going on around us. All existence will be gone by the end of the day, but whoever or whatever wove together space and time left a way to put things back together if the universe ever faced total annihilation.” Reginald explained, “There is a portal in the universe. I built this hotel around it, and on the other side is the answer.”
Y/n leaned, “Klaus never gets to pick the hotel again.”
Five shook his head with a subtle grin. Luther sighed, “And… we're supposed to, what? Just stroll in there, ring some bells, and fix this shit?”
“Sarcasm aside, you are mostly right.” Reginald replied, “Except for the guardian.”
Y/n tilted her head, “What kind of guardian?”
“Kinda guardian that does this.” Diego held up his hand, “He had a sword.”
“It is a force to be reckoned with.”
“A force?” Y/n snorted, “Is this guardian a Jedi? Cause if he’s not, he is not to be reckoned with.”
Lila snorted, and Luther rolled his eyes, “See? Yeah. This is where you lose me.”
“This is where he loses you?” Lila replied, “I checked out at the sacred cave.”
“Why would the builders of this ‘back door’ need to have a guardian?”
“Ah! To protect it from people who want to use it for nefarious means.”
Reginald smiled, “Correct, Sloane.”
“So it's gonna take all of us to defeat the thing protecting the bells.”
“You're actually buying his crap?” Five asked.
Allison deadpanned, “How is a guardian and bells any crazier than time-traveling briefcases and assassins with cartoon masks?”
“Actually, she's got you there.” Five sighed.
Ben stood up and walked to Reginald’s side, “I'm in.
“Me too.” Diego stood up, “But I think some of us should stay back. Like Lila.”
“Uh,” She stood up, “Or you can stay, and I can go.”
“No. This is much bigger than all of us.” Allison said, “Nobody can stay back.”
“You, my children, are all that stands between us and oblivion. Are we ready to go?”
Viktor shrugged, “Well, I say we vote.”
“This isn't a democracy.” Ben spat, “Dad's calling the shots.”
“I'm with Viktor. We vote.”
“Me too,”
Reginald looked appalled, “The world is ending, and you want to count hands?”
“You're asking us to risk our lives. I think it's only fair you give us time to discuss it.” Luther said, “Privately.”
Y/n heard Reginald scoff and walk away, “Why don't we meet back here in an hour?”
“Agreed.”
“Yeah, sure.”
“Whatever.”
Five stood up and pulled Y/n up with him. She led them back to the elevator. She pressed floor six and took him to room nineteen. The key went into the lock, and the door clicked open. Five closed it behind him, and it shut with a thud. Y/n threw herself on the couch, and Five paced the room. Y/n pulled out the Rubik cube and started twisting it around. Five’s tension eased at the familiar noise.
“I think this is a trap.”
“I believe you.”
Five turned to her, “What do you plan on doing?”
“I don’t know yet.”
She continued to twist the cube in her hands. It didn’t take long for the cube to be solved. The older she got, the easier it was. Five turned an armchair around to face the couch and sat down. She threw the cube, and he mixed it up before throwing it back to her. She started to solve, and Five rubbed his face, “We should warn the others.”
“I agree.”
Y/n stood up and put the cube in her pocket. She followed Five out of the room and walked down the hall. At the end of the hall was Luther and Sloane’s suite. It was nicer than room nineteen. It had a full-size queen bed. It had a couch and armchairs around the room too. Five knocked on the door and opened it. Y/n followed. Luther was sitting on the bed. Sloane was nowhere to be seen.
“Hey.”
“Hey,” Luther smiled, “How long do we have left?”
Five made a so-so gesture, “A couple of hours. Could be more, could be less.”
“Where's Sloane?” Y/n asked.
“Raiding the wine cellar for our end-of-the-world party.“
“So I guess you guys know which way you're voting.”
“You're more than welcome to join us.”
Five paced, “I'm still on the fence on that one. I saw something last night that I was not supposed to see.”
“Diego and Lila.” Luther said, “Yeah, they do it on the stairs sometimes.”
“What the fuck.”
Five rolled his eyes, “No, I saw Dad. He was in his room with someone. He was making some kind of deal. Before you ask, I don't know what the deal was or who it was with. Everything is a blur.”
“Wasn't Sloane or me.” He replied, “We were, uh, busy doing other things last night.”
“Yeah, I get it, Luther. Thank you.” Five sighed, “Everyone was boning everyone last night.”
“Wait, you two-“
“Focus, please.”
Y/n face palmed, “That story about the bells? There's something Dad's not telling us. Think about it. When has the old man ever been straight with us?”
“I don't know. He was ruthless in our performance reviews.”
“He always gave me five stars.”
“Really?”
Five took a deep breath, “Look, I'm old enough to trust my instinct, and it's telling me this is a trap. Food for thought.”
Y/n walked out of the room and exhaled heavily. Five tilted his head at her, “You all right?”
“Yeah,” She said, “I think I’m gonna ponder my decision in the lobby.”
“I’ll see you at the voting then.”
She smiled before she walked off. Y/n took the stairs to the lobby. It gave her more time to think. For years, they had trained for this. She had become Reginald’s weapon for this. The thought made her want to vomit—every hit with the cane, palm, and shoe. He had wanted her angry. He knew she could do unpredictable things while angry. He wanted the public to hate her, and they did.
Y/n sat down on the last landing. She could hear the people’s taunts down the street. Even after the Academy disbanded. Her face wasn’t forgettable. People threw things at her on the road, called her names, denied her service, and assaulted her. She’d walk around with her hood up and look down at the sidewalk while she walked. She denied herself the scenery to keep the people around her safe.
She was eighteen years old and just needed her medication. Meritech wasn’t a far walk from the gym. It took her years to finally get help. Diego had pressured her into it. She was thankful for him in more ways than one. He was her saving grace. He was scheduled to fight that night at the gym, and she told him she’d be there. She just needed her medication. Y/n’s hood fell.
Y/n didn’t think twice about it. The sunset was beautiful. It was purple, pink, and slowly turning orange. She passed a bar and continued to walk. Y/n heard footsteps behind her, but that was common. People walked the streets all the time. She turned a corner, and a man gripped her by the very low back. She grabbed his wrist and flipped him around. He chuckled at seeing her face.
“Ah, one of the Academy kids,” He smiled, “You’re Number Seven, aren’t ya’?”
She didn’t say anything, “You’re the Curse.”
Y/n rose an eyebrow and lifted her leg. His forearm broke with a snap, and he cried out in pain. The man reached for her hair, but a pain in his leg made him crumble to the floor. Y/n released her grip on the man once he had melted onto the sidewalk. She spat to her right into an alley, “Next time, don’t fucking touch me.”
She sighed. It had been a long walk to Meritech that day. Part of her still yearned for her pills. Despite Five being back, somedays she wished for the white pill to dissolve in her body. Someone knocked on the stairwell, and she looked up. It was Viktor. He gave her a small smile, “We’re ready.”
“Thanks.”
Y/n followed Viktor out to the main lobby. He sat down in the center of the main stairs. Luther and Sloane sat together on the right. Diego and Lila stood on the left side of the stairs. Five leaned up against a pillar, and Y/n leaned against it on his right. Ben was on her right. Allison stood in the middle of everyone, and Klaus leaned on the opposite pillar.
“I think you can all guess which way I'll be voting. We've all been through a lot. We've all lost people.” Allison paused, “Mannequins… But their deaths have to mean something, which is why I'll be voting to go with Dad.”
Lila jumped off the stairs toward Reginald, “Let's go save the bloody universe!”
“Woo-hoo!”
“All right, well, since she said yes,” Diego sat on the stairs, “I vote stay.”
Lila scoffed, and Diego shrugged, “How's that for nice?”
“You're not being serious.”
“It's his vote, Lila.”
Allison turned to Klaus, “Klaus?”
“I am with Father.”
“Okay, that's four to one.” She said, “Viktor?”
He sighed, “Look, I wanna believe, okay? I really do. I just can't shake the feeling we don't know what we're getting ourselves into.”
“No, but we know what we've got if we don't. We have to go into this together. Viktor. A family.”
“You can't just keep throwing the word ‘family’ around. It isn't enough.” He replied, “I vote stay.”
“Luther?”
Luther rubbed Sloane’s shoulders, “Sloane and I talked, and, well, we're out. Look, we wanna spend whatever time we have left together and not fighting some guy with a sword and ringing bells and stuff.”
“Well, dead even. Four in, four out.” Viktor said.
“That leaves you Number Five and Y/n.”
Five sighed, “I saw the future, and it told me to sit this one out.”
“I vote stay.” Five said, “It's time we accept our fate.”
Everyone turned to look at Y/n, “We’re 4 in and 5 out. Looks like it’s up to you, little Y/n.”
Y/n felt their stares. She shivered. It reminded her of the whole city, watching her get beaten with a cane. She looked down at her feet and crossed her ankles. Her hair covered her face like a curtain. She felt Five staring at her with strong intensity. They felt piercing and made her cheeks run hot. She tilted her chin back up.
“I won’t go down without a fight.” Y/n said, “I was born to be a weapon. I might as well die being one.”
“Shorty,”
“None of you get it, okay?” Y/n chuckled bitterly, “You all were the good ones, okay? You all were the heroes. I was never a hero. He,” She pointed at Reginald, “Made me a villain, a weapon, a monster from the moment he gave us our alias’.”
“No one ever thought-“
“That I was a curse?” Y/n chuckled, “Yes, you do. Everyone thought I was a fucking curse. You guys talked and acted like I couldn’t hear. You pretended like I didn’t have emotions and didn’t care. I was completely swallowed in my grief at thirteen years old, and none of you gave a shit. None of you!”
“And you know that boot camp Reginald sent me to?” They all looked intrigued, “Wasn’t a fucking boot camp. I was sent to become a fucking assassin because my grief was consuming me, and if I didn’t get it out somehow, I’d end up killing you all.”
She hesitated, “Just like when I killed Ben.”

[7. Nicknames🔈]
Honestly this one’s kinda a dud…Nicknames we’re kinda hard to figure out😀 somebody give me some ideas and I’ll edit them to this post
<><><><><><>
1. Luther Hargreeves
He doesn’t really give nicknames. He did/does call Allison “Alli” do to Klaus calling her that. A lot of the nicknames he receives from the others are jokes.
Space boy
Uno
Monkey man
Space Monkey
Big Bertha (credit to Klaus)
And all that jazz. He’s never really came up with Nicknames for any of them. He’s used them due to everyone else using them.
2. Diego Hargreeves
He does use their numbers as nicknames but in Spanish.
Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuatro, Cinco, Siete, Ocho, Nueva, and Diez.
He doesn’t actually use them as often. But he does use Cinco for Five since his name is Literally Five. He just uses the other numbers as a way to joke around or idk during a fight? “Better watch yourself Uno.” Some weird thing like that 🤷‍♀️
The others have some odd nicknames for him but once again they’re just jokes.
Shit (number 2 HEHEHAHA) “what’s up shit”
Ego my yego and any shorten part of his name. When they were small children Allison couldn’t say the word two for some reason so she just said “ooo”
When they got a little older (12-13) they found out through Pogo and they started jokingly call him “ooo” which shouldn’t have been funny but it was.
He also got/gets called “Diego Marquez” because once they discovered the show “Go Diego Go” they instantly started teasing Diego.
It’s an in going joke that they never stopped until they split up (He thought everyone forgot until Klaus brought up Dora and then remembered Diego is her Cousin. He hated his life after that…he also finds it funny but refuses to admit it.)
The Kraken. That’s what he was called in the media type stuff but his siblings were children and Klaus always laughed at it because it reminded him of “butt crack”
…Yeah-
3. Allison Hargreeves
She always used whatever funny nicknames the others gave but she mainly used cute ones for the others (basically just shortening their names once receiving them.)
Diego: Di (dee)
Luther: Luth
Five: Fi
Young Viktor: Van/Vans
Viktor: Vik/Viky (Thats actually cute)
Klaus: K or KK
Ben: Benny/B
Everyone mostly called her “Alli” but Klaus uses odd nicknames and calls her 100 different things
Little Rumor
Gossip Girl
Talk the talk
And those type of nicknames related to her ability or just random things she’s done that deem funny and deemed something to remember.
So…yeah-
4. Klaus Hargeeves
Well this creature right here is the nickname gallery. They use a lot.
Most of them are literally just random things about them. For some image-
Viktor: Little dude(Mr?) Russian
Five: Oldey but a youngey
Diego: Try hard Emo
Allison: Little miss secret teller
Luther: Number Uno (Idk-)
Ben: Big Ben(benny)/Horror galore
Everyone else just calls him whatever I assume-
5. Five Hargreeves
Doesn’t really give nicknames…they’re just insults😀 he doesn’t stick with one repeatedly but he did call Viktor Van before he transitioned. He does us V or Vik now instead along with the others. He did also use “Alli”, Luth(rarely), but otherwise he never used them much.
But does uses things like “shithead” “asshat” and every insult you could think of.
Everyone else used his name as a nickname.
Cinco (Spanish)
fünf (Russian)
cúig (Irish)
cinque (Italian)
Or whatever language 🤷‍♀️ Klaus also uses Five Guys or Fivey
So yeah-
6. Ben Hargeeves
Honestly don’t see him using nicknames at all? But if I were to say he uses the same nicknames as everyone else but mainly sticks with the cute ones (shorten names)
He does also insult ppl- calls Klaus a Druggy or a Deadbeat before he went clean but it was only really used when they were fighting- calls everyone “dumbasses” since nobody else can hear him-
7. Viktor Hargeeves
I’d say same goes for him with Allison’s way with nicknames.
He loves when people give him nicknames cause it makes him feel loved in his own weird way.
Quite enjoys the nicknames the others give to him even if some are concerning or just insults. He finds them nice in their own way.
<><><><><><>
Honestly these sucked-

My opinion on TUA S3 (in Spanish why I want to do it fast)
Tumblr media

“The Umbrella Academy”
Tumblr media

Five(POV)
Five frantically started writing out all the formulas he needed to go back a couple years and to a specific date.By a couple years He meant 13, back to when his siblings were 16.
Five looked through the old newspapers from the library where their father had kept every newspaper with them in the headlines.
He went through them by year till he found all the ones under 2006. Five took a deep breath before flipping through the individual papers.
He landed on the one that he needed, the one with the headline reading.
The Horrors death
Five grabbed the paper and blinked back towards his room and scribbled the date down on his wall.
He kept at it till the sun started to set in the sky. Five didn't notice the day whizzing by nor did he care.
Knock!
Knock!
"Yoo hoo Fivey Dinner is ready"
'Dinner?'
'Didn't they just eat breakfast?'
'What happened to lunch?'
Five glanced back at his clock that read 6:35 pm.
'Oh'
"Tell Diego I'll be down there in a minute Klaus,"Five yelled through his door.
"You know Di is gonna murder me if you don't come down for Dinner, Baby Cinco ."Klaus said to Five still with his door closed.
Five starred at his wall, he had most of the equation worked out but one thing he didn't know was the details of Ben's death. What people were around? Who were they fighting? What was so important about this mission they had to go?
Only the remaining other 5 siblings knew and Five knew he had to ask them and soon or else finding the right equation wouldn't mean anything.
Five huffed and got down off of his bed and opened his door with Klaus who was leaning on it tumbled into his room.
"AGAIN not a Baby"
Five was about to blink downstairs then realized he should start saving his energy if he's gonna make a big jump.
Instead Five walked past Klaus, down the staircase to the dining room.
"Wow you actually walked down here for once,"Diego commented while placing a plate in front of him.
Klaus followed shortly after Five and plopped down in his chair," See told you he didn't die Allison."
Five looked over at Allison with a questioning look.
"I knocked on your door for lunch and you never responded, and I did NOT think he died Klaus" Allison said to Five then redirected her glance over to Klaus who sunk down in his chair.
"You acted like it," Klaus muttered.
They both continued to argue with each other while Vanya just laughed at the two.
Five rolled his eyes and continued eating his food.
"Where did you get these scratches from Five?" Diego ran his thumb over a small spot on Five's cheek.
He also grabbed Fives hand that was laying in his lap and turned it over where his palm was scratched slightly.
Five looked at his other Hand which had the same small, light scratches and caught sight of his knees which also were the same.
'Shoot'
'The tree'
In that quick second that Five began to fall he must have scratched himself on the other branches on the way down before Klaus was able to stop him from falling.
"....uhhh,"He looked over at Klaus whom he and Allison had stopped arguing ,over hearing his and Diego's conversation. Klaus turned his head and looked the other way.
'Traitor!'
Allison cleared her throat,"Five fell out of a tree this morning"
'Annnnd there it was'
Diego turned back to him,"A tree?"
Allison laughed at Diego's reaction,"Ask Klaus he knows."
They all looked towards where Klaus had been sitting and found him at the farthest end of the table.
"What me? I'm just, Number 4, you know the one who doesn't know anything."
Five glared at Klaus,He was not gonna be the one to take all the blame for this.
Five picked up his fork and stabbed what was on his plate,"Klaus was the one who dropped me from the tree." He said, bringing what he had on his fork to his mouth.
Everyone looked at Five then back towards Klaus,"Klaus!" They all said to The Seánce.
"What but that's-.....uh…..Fivvvvveeeee"Klaus whined, for both him and Klaus knew what he said was a lie.
"I said don't do anything stupid and you go and drop our brother out of a tree Klaus." Diego started to scold Number 4.
Five took a sip of his water and glanced at Klaus pouting while Diego was lecturing him.
For the first time since he left them when they were 13, Five started to laugh at his siblings, bringing a serviette to his mouth so he wouldn't spit out his water.
They all looked back towards Five
Klaus stood up from his chair,"See he's lying!"He said, trying to make a point to his siblings, His hands spastically making gestures towards the younger.
Five laughed more at Klaus' outburst which made his siblings smile at seeing him laugh.
They all dropped the topic of Five falling out of the tree( still not sure who did what ) and continued to chat while they all ate their dinner.
Five remained quiet for the rest of the time, listening to Vanya about her rehearsal and how she had a solo recital coming up, Allison about an upcoming shoot she had, and Diego and the new case he was assigned to.
Till he remembered
He has to know the details of Ben's death
Five waited till everyone was done and cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.
"I wanted to ask you guys something,"Everyone looked towards Five with questioning looks while he looked down at his plate and shuffled a piece of food around it.
Everything stopped what they were doing as they saw the look on Five's face. Allison dropped her conversation with Luther, Diego leaned against the counter as he stopped clearing the dishes, Vanya's smile fell, and Klaus stopped messing around and bothering Diego.
Five felt everyone's eyes drilled into him but, They all stayed silent and let Five talk, not interrupting him.
"....…I-I want to know the full story"
Five grimaced at himself 'why did he stutter?'
Five took a deep breath
'here goes nothing'
"Of what happened the day Ben died"
"............."
Five felt like the silence between his siblings lasted years till one of them spoke up.
Allison stood up and started helping Diego clear the dishes,"We told you what happened Five and you also read what happened from Vanya's book."
Her voice was calm, not sincere, not sad, not angry, just…..calm
"But not everything," Five heard his voice get louder, he was always the only sibling that didn't know what completely happened to Ben.
"Five," It was Vanya with her soft nice voice who said his name.
She looked like she wanted to cry at the mention of their deceased brother.
He looked up from his plate and at the rest of his siblings all wearing different expressions.
Klaus' much like Vanya's, Diego and Allison looked calm and collected, while Luther looked like he wanted to punch the latter.
"Bud, you've asked us all on separate occasions about that day and we've told you all we can"
'bud' they all have been calling him that since he returned and Five didn't mind the nickname from his siblings, but right now it frustrated him.
"Can tell me or Want to tell me?" Five snapped at Diego.
Diego still remained calm and Five dropped his head again, he instantly regretted what he did.
Klaus opened his mouth to talk but was quickly interrupted by Luther.
"It's none of your business Five,"Luther told Five, more angrier than the others had been talking to him.
'None of his business?!'
Five snapped his head in Luther's direction,"was I talking to you Number One?" He had both hands placed firmly on the table, and His words had his normal attitude and bite to them.
"You did address everyone Number Five," Him and Luther were obviously getting heated with each other much like how Diego and Luther got.
Five stood up from his chair at this moment and so did Luther.
"Stop it Luther," It was Allison, her tone serious, with Diego still leaning on the counter behind her glaring at Luther.
Five had been biting his tongue the whole time when he couldn't take it anymore.
"Maybe I was addressing everyone who isn't to blame for Ben's death," Five knew it was a low blow, and didn't know if anyone had ever known if Five knew who they all blamed.
Vanya sat up from her chair and quickly walked out of the kitchen. Allison quickly followed behind, chasing after Vanya. She turned around before exiting the kitchen.
"You just had to ruin dinner didn't you?" Five didn't know if her words were directed towards him or at Luther, but either way...they hurt.
Luther went after Allison, and that left the 3 other brothers alone in the kitchen.
Five sat back down in his seat and swallowed the lump that was forming in his throat, staring at his hands that he was wringing together.
After a couple of seconds they heard the two sisters arguing and the front door being open then slam shut.
Five winced because he knew him bringing up the topic would have caused all this, yet he still opened his mouth.
One of the wooden chairs creaked as Klaus stood up, more slowly and calmly than the others who had already left the room.
He walked over to Five and laid a hand on his shoulder.
" I'm sorry Five"
Five didn't realize how much he would miss the stupid nicknames from Klaus till he didn't hear them.
'Why was Klaus apologizing'?
Five wanted to tell Klaus he's sorry and not to apologize, but he didn't dare open his mouth...not right now.
Five felt Klaus' hand fall off his shoulder and then the latter exited the kitchen, they could hear Klaus' bare feet against the tile as his footsteps got more and more distant.
Diego was the only one left alone with Five in the kitchen. He's still leaned against the counter which so happens to be in front of where Five is sitting.
"F-five," He hears Diego take a deep breath and runs his hand over his face.
Five wanted to mentally and physically smack himself, He hasn't heard Diego stutter in a while, the last time was when they were back in the 60's. He knows it only happens when he's upset nowadays.
Diego stayed quiet not saying anything to him. Five hated it, he hated the silence especially from Diego.
As much as Five liked to joke around about Diego being a pushover, Diego was just a protective big brother to them all. Making sure Vanya got to and from every rehearsal safely, helping Klaus through every withdrawal and nightmare, and carting around Five at whatever hours of the night to make sure he wasn't out alone or always making him tell Diego where he was so he didn't have a heart attack.
Diego was a constant in all their life's and kept them all in one piece.
Five looked up at Diego who had an expression he couldn't even describe.
"Di…?"
Five hardly if ever used their childhood nicknames for his siblings, unlike Klaus who always had a new nickname for every single one of the siblings, every day of the week.
Diego got off the counter and walked over to where Five was still sitting. He bent down in front of the younger and put his hand on Five's cheek, softly stroking it with his thumb.
Five slightly flinched at the contact he didn't indicate.
" What's wrong Five?"
Five wanted to tell him everything, He wanted to tell him how much he missed Ben, He wanted to break down and let Diego hug him, He wanted to feel warmth from another person's touch.
He wanted to accept the comfort.
But not right now
Five opened his mouth but never said anything and instead closed it and let his head drop down from his brother's gaze.
He felt Diego's hands fall to his Knees and rub circles as his older brother began to talk.
" Why don't you go upstairs and get some rest then we can all talk tomorrow." Five almost felt like this was a punishment of some kind, for him to wallow in every wrong in how he's treated his siblings, that has occured within the past few minutes.
Five nodded his head, still not daring to talk and began walking out of the kitchen towards his room.
Five was passing by the others rooms, when Klaus came out of his with his fur coat and leather boots on. Five knew he was gonna go out to score some type of drug, he had been clean nearly 2 weeks Five really didn't want him to ruin that. He watched as Klaus ran down the stairs and headed towards the front door.
'Why didn't he stop him? '
Five quickly turned away and walked as fast as he could till he hit his room. He shut his door behind him, palms flat on the wood as he took a deep breath. He put his back on the door before sliding down to the floor, hands tugging at his brown locks.
Five sighed, Dinner was a disaster. They had all finally been getting along and he had to just go ruin it all. Five let his head fall back against the door and thought about everything that just happened.
Fuck!
He knew Ben's death was hard to talk about for everybody, much less in detail about everything that happened that day.
He glanced around his room looking at all the things he never got rid of since his ACTUAL 13 year old self owned this room. The toys piled up on top of his dresser in a wooden toy box, the toy tractor on his window seal, his baby blue walls, and his light blue fluffy blanket that had designs on it still laid at the foot of his bed.
He glanced back at his wall where the info oshed equation was scrawled down. If he is just able to get Ben back, maybe everything will be better.
Five pushed himself off the floor and grabbed the almost finished stick of chalk and jumped back on top of his bed.He slightly bounced and almost lost his balance.
'no wonder Klaus was always jumping on his bed as a kid'
Five shook his head, Not the time. He needed to focus on what he was doing.
He would just have to figure this out by himself, like when he was in the apocalypse.Five was gonna keep at it till he got the right equation.
Some time passed and He stopped for a minute as he heard arguing downstairs between who knows. Someone's footsteps followed as the argument stopped, they grew louder with each step.
There was a light knock on his door as he was trying to figure out the last two numbers to his equation.
"Five, are you still up It's pretty late." It was Allison, she probably had been the one arguing with one of his brother's downstairs.
He looked at his clock
11:31 pm
He had been losing track of time all day working on this. He marked the number he got down, One more to go.
" Five?"
He still felt like he couldn't talk to his siblings at this moment. He scrambled down to his knees on the bed and reached over to switch his lamp off.
It took a couple of seconds till he could hear her slowly walking away from his room.
Five waited till the footsteps got farther and farther, till he could no longer hear them.
He switched back on his lamp so he could see what he was writing. He stood back up and marked the last number down then looked over the entire equation.
'something didn't seem right?'
Knock!
Knock!
"Five, honey it's way past your bedtime," Ugh Mom.
Five jumped off his bed and opened his door a crack so he could peek out. He looked around and made sure none of his siblings were around before talking to Grace.
"Sorry Mom, just wrapping something up I'll be in bed by midnight." He gave her a half smile hoping she would believe him.
She smiled back at him," alright dear just make sure to change out of your uniform to your pyjamas."
She still treated them all like her children even after all these years. Five nodded his head and softly closed his door back up.
He grabbed his notebook and wrote down the equation before shoving it in his pocket.
This was gonna have to do
Five went over and locked his door knowing it would buy him more time in the morning before his siblings realized he was gone.
Five slipped on his shoes, grabbed his blazer that was hanging on the end of his bed and shrugged it on.
He wished Dolores was with him right now.
He stood up in the middle of his room and his fist began to glow.
Here. Goes. Nothing.
