Things were just going good. You and Hisoka had a fight earlier in the week but everything had been settled and the two of you were good.

That was until you got a phone call at 8pm.

“Hello?” You answered curiosity. It was an unknown number one which seemed familiar somehow.

“Hi is this y/n?” A woman’s voice played from the other side of the phone.

“Yes how can I help you?”

“Could you please tell Hisoka to stop calling me. I’ve already told him I’m not interested.” Your heart stopped at what the woman just said. Hisoka your boyfriend of two years was apparently courting another woman.

“Hello?” The voice from the phone broke the thoughts running through your head.

“Right of course I’ll be happy to pass the information along miss…”

“Oh don’t worry about it. He’ll know who your referring to.” With that the call ended.

You sat on the sofa unmoving, for a long time. Millions of feelings were flooding through you all at once. You wanted to cry and beg Hisoka to tell you want you did wrong to make him stay.

But at the same time you wanted to kill him.

To trash your shared house and burn his clothes. You wanted to rip all the pictures of the two of you and beat him till he was black and blue and begging for forgiveness.

So you did.

Within two hours you screamed your heart out broke vases and flipped tables. Not thinking, you stood and grabbed a gun from the kitchen drawer. You knew you were strong but Hisoka was stronger. Despite that you didn’t care, you just wanted to hurt him.

As if god heard your prayers Hisoka came home. When entering the living room he was surprised to see his stuff thrown and scattered all over the place. Mostly in pieces.

“Y/n.” Hearing his voice you walked over, your anger showing across your face. Taking note of the weapon in your hands Hisoka was cautious.

“What’s wrong? Why is the house like this?” Ignoring his questions you asked him your own.

“Where have you been?” Hisoka was silent for a moment before responding.

“With the troupe. I had business to take care of.” You chuckled softly to yourself. “Really? Is flirting with other women your idea of business.”

“What do mean-“

“You know exactly what I mean!”

You started shouting at him as tears formed in the corners of your eye.

“Why do you always do this to me!?” You exclaimed waving the gun around. “Why is it so hard for you to be a good boyfriend.”

“Don’t act like it’s all my fault. I don’t know what you heard but I never cheated on you.”

“You’re lying!”

At this point the two of you were right in each others face screaming and arguing.

The room felt hot. Right now your eyes were swollen and your vision seemed blurred from all your tears. Without thinking you held the gun and pointed it at Hisoka.

Hisoka frowned and gave you a harsh glare. “Put the gun down. You’ll hurt yourself.” Hisoka’s voice was stern and threatening.

You didn’t back down and instead placed your finger on the trigger.

“What’s wrong? You think I won’t shoot.” You threatened.

It happened quickly. Hisoka grabbed hold of your wrist moving the gun from your hand. Making you shoot the ceiling. You tried to punch him only for that hand to be caught too.

You struggled in his embrace but there was no getting out.

You stared at Hisoka in frustration as your tears welled up again. Unexpectedly Hisoka used this as an opportunity to kiss you.

The more you tried to move away the harder and more forceful Hisoka was. Until you leaned into the kiss and dropped your gun.

Separating, Hisoka brushed the tears from your face and whispered, “You look so sexy when your angry.”

Those words were like an invitation. You wrapped your arms around him and the two of you made out while making your way to the bedroom.

This was how it always ended. The two of you could fight to the point you break up but end up having sex minutes after.

It was a torturous cycle. But neither of you wanted it to end.

out of everyone, guaranteed, she'll be the best partner out of everyone else, you might even end up shocked that she's apart of the troupe if it ever comes to you finding out.

she's a darling, spoils and cares for you like anyone else, a great listener and partakes in your interests in hobbies, its (almost) like a fairytale by how the relationship is, the troupe knows you but you don't know them! and she wants to keep it that way, of course still she's a murderer, so it would break her if you were to have found out about everything, she vowed to never let you know or even have you close to knowing about what she does, but you just can't help but wonder what she's doing when she's away for long periods of time.

until it comes to her death.

now, you eventually find out that she died from a close friend of hers, but he knows paku doesn't want you to know about the troupe, so, he's a bit vague, and a bit creepy.

nobunaga

personally out of everyone else, i feel like nobunaga would be other most normal when it comes to relationships, but then again, he's an enigma, he doesn't strike me as the type to be the best boyfriend literally ever or very very toxic, i feel like out of everyone else, if you're looking for someone to be in a semi normal relationship with, nobunaga is your best shot, but of course, he's a part of the phantom troupe, and any member apart of it isn't exactly the best partner by default.

he's still a murder and thief, like all members i believe that he would definitely steal things that remind him of you, he'd most definitely kill for you.

unlike someone like feitan or machi, he doesn't exactly have a problem with being vulnerable when you get to know him, he'll tell you about himself, and of course, because he's a criminal he can't exactly tell you what he does for a living, but can't bring himself to lie about it either, he's just hoping that one day, if you know, you won't leave or judge him for it, his childhood isn't exactly all sunshines and lolipops, y'know?

he'll love you from the ends of the earth, but he definitely won't let you walk all over him, quick to put your in your place and won't allow you to manipulate him, he won't lie to you (about trivial things, at least) so why should you? (who knows, maybe you're apart of a criminal organization and is pretty much a wanted criminal yourself :P)

bonolenov

similar to nobunaga i think if you want something that's somewhat normal, bonolenov is also a nice choice! (100% not putting him up so high because we don't really know that much about him it's totally because he would be a decent partner! honest!)

for one, you would definitely be introduced to usual romantic gestures and advances that come from his tribe, he'll tell you all about how things work with him, he'll do dances he learned when they were still here for you to show how much he adores you, and dresses you in garments that resemble such from his tribe, it's pretty cute, honestly!

now, what concerns him a bit is.. how you'll react without his bandages, he's not exactly sexy like chrollo but (to me, TO MEEEEEE) he's not the ugliest thing in the world! he just hopes that eventually if you see him in his true form, you don't scream and run away at the sight of him, its okay if you do! ..... kind of.

and if you don't, oh you'll mean so much to him!

kortopi

now, here's another one we don't know much about! but i'll try my best either way (i just want to contribute to the lack of attention him and bono get in these spaces.) he's another somewhat normal one, he also doesn't strike me as the type to be the absolute worst, but still is apart of a troupe of murderers and thieves.

similar to everyone else, he'll steal and kill for you (idk if this guy even has a body count but lets pretend he does.) and is a lot more open to being vulnerable than some other members.

now, nine times out of ten you'll be taller than him because this guy is even shorter than feitan, so, he'll definitely be wearing your t-shirts and hoodies, and he ain't complaining about it!

and eventually, he dies, now, honestly, something told you that kortopi seemed... like the odd one out when it came to the troupe, he doesn't seem like the type to be apart of... that! you better hope that hisoka doesn't care about you, or things are gonna turn ugly faster than you can blink.

uvogin

he's big (as hell), but he's sweeter (you know why they're in bold italics) than the others twice his size.

physically the strongest, you're rather lucky to have him has your partner, if someone won't stop messing with you, they're dead within a millisecond, or at least scared off since you know.. he isn't exactly built like the average guy and having someone that's eight foot fucking two walking up on you not really excited to see you is quite terrifying, depending on his mood they'll sometimes get away.... sometimes.

enough of that, how is it like when it's just the two of you? sitting on the couch or laying in bed watching movies together, his arm around you, it's basically a pillow! a hard ass pillow at that.

not the most vulnerable, he's not some weird incel who see's women as sex toys or anything, he's decently capable of being in a normal relationship, you won't see each other often sadly, but when you do, he'll pay 95% of his attention towards you, he'll even let you know straight up that he won't know when he'll get back, but he will! ... until he doesn't..

ah yes, his death at the hands of kurapika, how will you react? hell, how would kurapika react to your existence? something tells me that kurapika might kill you too, send you right off with him, or, in a rather strange twist of events, he might try to fuck you and take you to the other side, not in the way of barging into your house and straight up non con, nah, more like a get to know you then get in your pants type of way, uvo won't be there to protect you now would he? of course the latter is highly unlikely, but to be honest it's kind of fun to think about.

and now that you think of it... you don't even know what uvo was doing or where he was going, you choose how you want to react to how you found out about his troupe business.

shizuku

another woman! she's similar to another person right below her! she looks cute, but she's anything but!...... sort of.

she's not the best or worst partner, she's pretty normal, a bit distant but it's not something you can't manage, maybe she just needs some space and you're overwhelming her, but something that really gets to you is her forgetfulness.

at first, she'll forget things such as your birthday or your anniversary, but going further into the relationship, she becomes less and less forgetful (she might even remember things that you don't even remember.)

what exactly do you guys do together? well, she does try to partake in your interests, and does try to get things you like!

franklin

he's similar to uvo, he's big, he's actually nicer than he appears.

what makes him so low is.. well to be honest i don't know, i don't feel like he could be high up but not so low, so, this is the perfect spot for him.

for one he does have a bit of an anger problem, not as bad as phinks, but he doesn't mind a slight argument, good thing he wont assault you, and is quick to make up for the argument.

i don't know how to write him, so, please forgive me for how small this passage is. :(

shalnark

we're starting to get into uh... strange territory, he looks kind, and seems normal, but he's anything but that, he's not the most toxic but he also isn't the most caring and understanding either, similar to nobunaga he's kind of an enigma.

he's a love bomber and very good at manipulating, definitely takes advantage of his rather cute looks, he'll figure out what you're insecure about and compliment those things specifically, i do think he is capable of loving someone genuinely, but he sometimes does things without realizing that they aren't really normal, maybe he's getting his troupe personality mixed up with the one he has with you.

he does come off as sweet at first, brings you flowers and takes you on some rather expensive dates (an uncanny feeling creeps up on you about how the waiters act, but you don't pay much attention to it.) and sometimes he's more distant and a little bit aloof, you take this as him needing his space.

he's not abusive, but he isn't the absolute best partner, there's definitely better out there.

his death doesn't hit you as hard as the others but it was still devastating, you best hope hisoka doesn't come for you, and if he does, you hope he swiftly kills you, because you really don't want this murder clown to take an interest to you.

phinks

phinks is another one 'that's kind of odd to me, i don't want to judge a book by its cover and say "yeah he's a piece of shit!!" but again, he's a lot better in comparison to anyone below.

he's similar to shalnark in quite a few ways, one, he does things that kind of makes you think he's a bit of an odd ball, he's intimidating to look at and is the second strongest physically in the troupe, so you're lucky to have someone like him if you're looking for protection.

i don't see him as the type to take you out to fancy restaurants and bring you flowers, stuff like that is a bit too sappy for him, he shows other ways like giving you thinks you like or taking you to like carnivals or other fun events.

his main problem is his anger issues, he won't physically harm you especially if you don't use nen, but he's not above arguing with or yelling at you, he doesn't do it often, but he might call you an idiot or a bitch if you take him to that point.

the relationship is somewhat normal besides that.

chrollo

chrollo is weird, some say he's loving, caring, blah blah blah while some might say he's the exact opposite.

for one he is charming, he's a relatively good looking man, he's intelligent, and is looking for someone who's also intelligent.

i feel like chrollo definitely has a type, he likes people who are elegant, he wants someone that'll make him look good while he's in public, he doesn't care much for how people view the relationship outside of that, he also looks for someone with a personality he doesn't want someone who looks good yes, but is boring to be around, someone he can have a deep conversation with and talk about his interests with.

for one, you will not know about the troupe's existence, until he is 100% ready to tell you, which will definitely take a while, but he's confident that the troupe and himself will protect you from anyone who tries to avenge.

now, what makes him so low on this list? well, he's quite manipulative, a gaslighter, too, what do you mean you saw me with another woman? it's all for business, i'm just trying to steal her nen ability.

he does want to be a good partner, but this relationship is kind of a "too good to be true" type, something is happening behind closed doors and the thought is too persistent to ignore.

illumi

this guy is... strange, for one, his beady ass eyes make him look like a bug (affectionately), and section.. his very warped perception of what love even is.

i agree with the fandom that he has a breeding kink no doubt, his intention on dating is marriage, and you will bear his children, no ifs, ands or buts.

you'll meet his family but you'll never meet the troupe, he doesn't want you getting involved in fighting (he might have someone teach you some basic self protection) because he doesn't want you to die, that'll fuck with him... kind of, you're basically trapped in the mansion.

his overprotection is toxic on its own, you don't have that much freedom, you can't go shopping unless he's with you (or if he can't be there, one of his servants will accompany you), you're never truly alone unless he's away, and when he's here, things are no better, he's distant and cold, there's not much to talk about with him, sure, he loves you, but doesn't know how to express it much.

machi

one out of three toxic ass individuals, one of them consists of machi.

lets start off with the fact that she's cold hearted, as hell, if you cry in front of her she'll look at you like you're crazy, if she's really in that mood she'll tell you that you look stupid and you need to suck it up.

not good with physical touch or romance, who knows how the two of you managed to continue the relationship, she does leave flowers for you but won't tell you that they're from her, won't admit that she's the one who got them for you.

i feel like similar to a certain clown, she won't care much for you if you aren't either powerful or capable of protecting yourself in some way.

but all she's really doing is putting up barriers, she's actually caring in her own weird way, she'll still be there for you, patch up your wounds if you managed to get cut or stabbed and would probably mourn your death.

hisoka

were getting lower, and a certain sadist who loves torture is worse, but somehow, hisoka is slightly better than him in some way or another.

for one, hisoka probably won't be that interested in you if you aren't powerful, it would be worse if you were a regular civilian, he'll take that as an opportunity to take advantage of you sexually, physically, psychologically and mentally, and the relationship will be literal hell..

but, lets say you are pretty powerful, dare i say a troupe member yourself, he won't be as interested in fighting you as much as he would chrollo, but he would be interested in... other ways.

how you managed to get into a relationship with this freak is unclear, but you two one day just.. hooked up, and it all goes downhill from here.

he has no problem killing you if he gets tired of you, he already killed two and plans on killing the rest of the spiders, why not kill another? especially you? or, in an alternate scenario where he does manage to kill off all the spider, you're the only one who's left, this can go two ways, one, he can fuck you one last time then kill you, or, he takes you with him! if you managed to have a lasting impression on him, that is.

outside of sex, he just isn't a good partner, he's probably the only one on this list that's probably willing to cheat on you (don't you dare get back at him, both you and your lover will die) he's manipulative as hell, he doesn't necessarily care about how you feel and he'll provoke you just to get a reaction out of you.

feitan

and last but not least, feitan, oh boy, good luck to you for managing to have this man attracted to you. (im a feitan girlie, so this one might be a big longer than the rest)

for one, he'll hate your rotten guts for making him feel this way, for making him feel so weak, so emotional... he might even contemplate on killing you, but when that time comes he can't bring himself to do it.

i don't want to say yandere is his default since he doesn't really know how to properly love, because i do think he has some potential, but it does make sense for him, because there has to be something about you that makes you interested in him, maybe you're his polar opposite? maybe you're also a sadist?

he's not the most romantic partner, he doesn't want to come off as vulnerable, or sappy, so, what considers as a date to him? he's the type to probably take you to a cemetery at night as a form of a date.

he will not allow the troupe to know you or you to know them, for one he's going to be teased from hell and back for finally managing to pull someone and second while it appears that he doesn't care for you much, him protecting you from them is his way of showing you that he cares.

he can't find himself being vulnerable, he might teach you his language if you're up for it, and he might bring you some things he knows you like, but thats kind of it, also he won't force you to see him torture people.. unless you betray him in a way.

Quickie Yandere Chrollo, Feitan and Hisoka Valentine's Day Headcanons

notes: yandere, (mostly) kidnapped reader scenario, abusive relationships, Feitan is mean :(

How some of the yandere Phantom Troupe would treat their captive darling on Valentine's Day:

Chrollo

Irritatingly loving on Valentine's Day. It's the day for lovers, after all, and he wants it to go perfectly. He would ask you what you would like to do, and if you're being amicable, he would grant it as best he could.

You'll wake up to flowers and chocolates or your favorite treat on the table, and then it's off to do whatever you want for the day.

You want a fancy restaurant date? Tell him the cuisine and he'll set it up. You want to visit a local zoo and take a stroll? He'll get your walking shoes out. You'd love to see a movie? Cuddling up together with popcorn in the dark is just fine by him, he'll even rent out the screen so you're totally alone.

But nothing comes for free with Chrollo. If he treats you, he expects you to treat him. That means you'll be loving and sweet; you'll not only let him kiss you but kiss him back; and the evening will naturally end in the bedroom, where you'll allow him to indulge in your body until you're positively weeping.

A fair trade, in his mind.

Feitan

He doesn't acknowledge it on his own. He probably doesn't even realize what day it is, it's not something he celebrates. If he happens to check a calendar and see that it's "Valentine's Day," he might briefly think about the fact that he has someone he might consider a "lover," however unwilling, but the idea of a romantic gesture doesn't cross his radar. It's not something he enjoys doing, even with you.

If you dare to ask what he's going to do for Valentine's Day or actually suggest that he does get you something or that the two of you could celebrate, he'll either:

Ignore you entirely and simply not do anything, then act like you're irritating if you bring it up

Fuck with you by giving you something mean, like a literal heart cut out from one of his victims or a pretty ring with the finger still attached.

If your feelings are genuinely hurt, and you've been with him a long time, and you seemingly wanted to have a romantic evening with him and he didn't do it... he might actually feel a twinge of something akin to guilt. Maybe it's more like irritation with himself for the lost opportunity to see another side of you.

But he'd wait weeks before doing something nice (which, with Feitan, isn't saying much) so you don't connect the two situations.

Hisoka

Unless there have been some truly extenuating circumstances, Hisoka isn't going to kidnap you like most members of the Phantom Troupe might.

It's not that you're not bound to him. Oh, no. You can't escape Hisoka no matter where you go. But he's not keen on keeping you at his side at all times, nor does he have the patience to indulge in setting up some base where you'll be kept most of the time like others might do.

Valentine's Day can go many ways with Hisoka. It all depends on his mood and the way the wind is blowing his whims towards you.

He might show up in the morning and expect you to indulge in a flashy, sappy, ridiculously over the top celebration with him. It seems insincere, in some ways, but so much of what he does feels like a performance.

He'll drag you on some generic date, his hands on you the entire time. Make sure to stick close by--don't give him an excuse to bring out Bungee Gum, dear. But he wouldn't spend too much time outside your apartment. He wants to get you back there for plenty of that other activity couples indulge in on Valentine's Day. It's only when you're home, alone together, that he feels more like himself.

Or he might not stop by at all. But since he never announces himself, you'll spend the whole day on edge, wondering if he'll pop in to make your life miserable on Valentine's Day. You can't tell if it's relief or disappointment or a mixture of both in your gut when you go to sleep without ever having seen him.

so the younger boy just watches from afar

he gives the blonde glares and intense side eyes, and when he feels he's getting too close he won't hesitate to swoop in and steal you away

Kurapika is pretty smart so he's probably found a few ways to get around your brother

after a while of you two talking without Killua's knowledge you eventually get together

one day he caught you two holding hands under a table at the diner or sitting at a bench

he actually screams

with erratic gestures to your guys' hands he's like "WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN"

the boy is slack jawed

he thought he did such a good job keeping you separated

"watever just...don't hurt them or anything!"

Leorio Paladaknight

Killua's first reaction to learning this information is "No way, you're too old for my sibling!"

Killua babes he's only like 19

Leorio is by no means subtle with the way he feels about you even if he thinks he is

Killua makes it his life mission to keep you separated 💀

The group is splitting up and Leorio volunteers to go with you? So does Killua. He wants to sit next to you on the train? Aw too bad, your little brother is already sitting there

but if by some miracle you get away from your brother he doesn't waste a single moment in asking you out

after learning that his attempts to keep you separated failed, Killua gets a little pouty

"Seriously? You chose THIS guy!?" "What the hell is that supposed to mean you little shit!"

knowing you guys got together doesn't stop the boy from trying to get in the middle of things though

he's a pro at this point

he will find a way to crash literally any date you plan on going on soo you guys gotta be secretive about it

you probably had to come up with code words in order to plan dates 💀💀💀

Chrollo Lucilfer

the only way I see this working is if you were already part of the troupe so lets go with that

out of literally anyone on the planet he just HAD to have a crush on a Zoldyck

to say your family wasn't pleased would be an understatement

especially Illumi

the Zoldycks typically don't do -ships...like friendSHIPS or relationSHIPS so Chrollo pining for you is definitely an issue

and when two of your brothers end up joining the troupe after you

let's just say Chrollo isn't having the best time.

Kalluto is a lot less aggressive or opinionated on the matter than his eldest brother, but he still isn't fond of the idea of you ending up with the leader of the phantom troupe

he finds ways to draw your attention away from Chrollo

whereas Illumi isn't so passive

if he catches the head of the spiders so much as glancing at you he's going to stand in his line of vision with a stern "Stay away from my sibling."

and just to keep things easy on himself Chrollo heeds these warnings

well..until he's able to catch you alone

you guys are gonna have to date on the dl and be SERIOUSLY sneaky

dating while coming from a family of assassins is not an easy feat

Chrollo would be so cute in love and in a “healthy” relationship.

My headcanons are around this:

- Chrollo would be so confused at first. He would wonder what they see in him, what version or “character” he thinks he’s playing they are infatuated with. Do they see something clear about his personality? Do they ignore his amoral tendencies, or do they embrace them? Do they know his darker sides, do they see them, do they accept them?

- I think he’d look for a way to exploit this at first. If he was infatuated too, he’d probably feel like he won the lottery and play into those character traits they like to ensure the best chances of keeping them around

- If they called him out on it and told him to just be himself, he’d be impressed but also confused. Would probably ask something along the lines of “and what do you believe is “being me”?”

- Upon receiving an answer, Chrollo would do a lot of thinking about who he is, how he appears to people, how the one they are infatuated with sees them. He would probably test their “loyalty” or their infatuation by leaning more into his less savoury traits to see if they would leave, get scared or stay, whilst trying to keep himself as detached as possible to account for possible rejection

- To him, they would become so fascinating, and possibly the key to understanding himself. And yes, he would get attached, whether he tries to or not

- If they stay no matter what, Chrollo would start to become so attached to them and so fearful of a hypothetical betrayal on their part

- He would also start worrying about something happening to them, and would in turn become almost overprotective, to the point he would stalk his partner without them knowing and do background research on everyone they meet

- I feel like he would be extra jealous because he would fear being left for someone more morally acceptable. Chrollo is a confident guy, but when it comes to relationships where the control is not all in his hands, he gets nervous that his partner might choose someone who aligns with society’s morals

- He would seek them out for comfort after he begins to trust them. It would take a long while, but if he was sure they were in love with him, and he was in love with them, he’d like unwinding with them, cuddling and reading books, having them brush his hair, watching a film together etc.

- He’d try to be romantic. The poor guy would pick up some romance novels and steal “tips” from there, which would feel so forced and stilted 💀 They’d see his true romantic side in things he’d do genuinely, like stealing first editions of their favourite books, showing interest in their hobbies and conversing about them, intimacy and being a good listener as they vent or rant about something (watch the mansplaining though)

- I do believe Chrollo would treat his SO like royalty. So many dates, stolen gifts and nice food. He likes the finer things in life, and he likes to appear as a sophisticated, well-mannered gentleman. His flaws lie mostly on his morals, his arrogant, self-serving, jealous nature which stems from Meteor City ways of having to fend off others trying to steal things he has claimed as soon as he lowers his guard, and the fact that once you’re with Chrollo there is no way out unless he too gets bored. If his partner tried to leave him, he would see it as a betrayal, and turn to more drastic measures to keep them— see Yandere Chrollo.

Chrollo, Feitan, Kurapika reactions to their s/o's death (inadvertently caused by them)

Chrollo

He had pushed you too far this time, telling you to go on the mission by yourself since you kept insisting you could do it. How foolish of him to let you go without thinking a certain chain user might be in the way. You hadn't returned after many hours. The mission shouldn't have taken that long, and the rest of the troupe was also agitated

The search started as soon as the sun began to rise. The troupe members scattered throughout the city to see if you were accidentally sleeping somewhere and forgot to come back. However, Chrollo stumbled upon your lifeless body in a rubbish dump. How fitting, you were from Meteor City, a junkyard.

"Y/n, are you sleeping?" He laughed, but as he kept calling out, you weren't responding. Touching your face, he felt his heart stop. You were cold. "Y/n," he breathed out. The sun's rays caress your face as if you were reached by the heavens. But this moment was nothing peaceful inside Chrollo's heart.

The troupe returned and saw Chrollo carrying you. The rest of them asked what had happened, he remained calm however. "We lost another it seems," he says quietly. Though he looks composed, the entire room fills with bloodlust that fades just as quickly as it came. He asks to be left alone and the rest of the spiders oblige.

Chrollo does not show his emotions to others, especially because as a leader he must be strong. But he breaks down, he had failed his role in keeping the spiders, no, you safe. Though revenge is something he wants, at the moment he wants nothing more than for you to hear his apologies of not keeping you safe

Feitan

He knew he was rough, that was why at first he didn't want to be in a relationship with anyone, especially someone outside of the troupe. You were just a regular person, you didn't know about anything related to the troupe nor nen, you were fragile. But maybe it was that fragility and that brightness that drew him to you.

This time however, you found out about his business with the troupe. You were upset at him hiding this fact from you, and this sparked a fight between the two of you. Feitan warned you to calm down, but it was really him that should have calmed down because the minute you threatened to let the officials know he quickly aimed his hand for your neck.

Had you been any other nen user or opponent he was used to, you would have survived and maybe had a sore throat for a few months. However, he punctured your neck, causing blood to spill and for you to splurt out a weak "Feitan" before slipping to your knees. Ater a split second he realized what he had just done.

"Y-y/n," it was the first time you had seen any emotion from him. It was fear. His eyes grew wide, he held you up, trying to keep you from falling. You tried tell him sorry, but blood kept spilling everywhere and your words were reduced to nonsense choking. Feitan kept telling you to shut up and that you had to stay alive.

It was an agonizing two minutes before you lost consciousness and eventually stopped breathing. Feitan stood up, not knowing what to do with your body. He was used to cleaning up corpses with what his job demanded, but this time he was lost. The next time the troupe saw him, he was a lot colder than usual. No one knew what had happened, other than that when Phinks asked where Feitan's lover was Feitan gave him a punch but his eyes held sadness more than anger

Kurapika

He shouldn't have prioritized his path of revenge over the lives of people he cared about. Sure, the Kurta seemed to call to him to avenge their deaths, but those that were living were also calling to him to not go down the path of destruction. He should've listened a little harder to those that were still with him in the physical world.

Being someone from Meteor City, someone that was close to the troupe didn't exactly translate to you being sympathetic to the spiders. But an argument got heated, and he lost control. You were trying to get him to stop his fight to hunt for the rest of the Kurta eyes and even the troupe but he thought you didn't understand his pain. Nen was involved soon enough.

Though you tried to fight him, he was skilled. Being Kurta made Kurapika much stronger too even in terms of sheer physical strength. He couldn't use Emperor Time on you, but that didn't stop him from using his chains in general. When you thought he was done with his chains, you rushed to restrain him from continuing his anger but he only grabbed for a nearby pen.

The anger blinded him from seeing what had just happened. The next thing he remembered after you told him that he should stop his revenge was that he had a pen in his hand that was stabbed into your chest. You were coughing violently, eyes wide and brimming with tears. You told him you were sorry and that you should've understood him better. Weakly, you reached up to his face, meeting his red eyes that soon faded back to brown. But you were too weak, your eyes closed and you slumped.

"No," Kurapika breathed out, "No no no no, y/n, y/n don't leave me," he shook you, holding you up and trying to get you to wake up. His actions took someone's life once again, another burden to shoulder. He knew his anger could be deadly, but never did he think it could kill you. How was he to forgive himself any longer when he was already feeling the anguish of his clan? Kurapika cried as he held you, repeating apologies and refusing to let go of you.

- This is definitely a corny, overused trope, but Illumi is pretty much emotionless and salty to everybody...except you! (I know, let the hate comments and cringe settle in)

- It just makes sense, he has a lot of trust in you, and had to spend a LOT of time with you before dating. He progressively gets more comfortable with your relationship, and opens up to you more the longer you guys are together.

- Adding on to the "opens up to you..." statement in the previous headcanon, he randomly tells you some... incredibly horrifying stories from his childhood. He just would say it in the middle of nowhere, and act like there's nothing wrong with it. I guess that's part of being a Zoldyck...

Hisoka ⭐️💧🃏

- Hisoka is ALL for pet names. Sometimes they're cute and loving, but let's be honest, most of the time they're cringey or weird just so he can get on your nerves.

- His idea of a "date night" is very flexible. Sometimes he would want a nice date night at a fancy restaurant, but other times just staying cozy at home would suffice for him.

- Hisoka's favorite cozy date night idea would be... game night! (I know you expected it) He would most likely beat you at every game, so I'm sorry if you're a sore loser. But because he loves you, sometimes he would let you win, but the second you try to brag about it, he would demolish you in a game of Go Fish...

Especially since his real siblings are so toxic. Anyone with an overly-parental personality is bound to get on his nerves.

However, as time goes on, despite his denial and annoyance, Killua will naturally sort of drift towards growing attached to the person. He is a child after all, and while you might not instantly become a new sibling, humans naturally crave connection.

From there, it's only a matter of time before he begins getting a little territorial towards the reader.

Not around Kurapika, Gon, or Leorio, unless they try to date the reader, then he might get a little hostile, but around others.

He'd make it very, very, very clear that the reader needs to watch out for Illumi.

This would go double for any female readers. He'd thoroughly warn them of Hisoka and Illumi both.

He would also take to being a nuisance on their love life.

Killua doesn't have a very healthy example for familial love and bonds, so he will resort to Illumi's tactics if he started viewing the reader as a sibling.

Of course, he'd hide all of the toxicity and stalking and monitoring. He's well aware that the things his family did are toxic to most, so he'd never let you find out.

Not to say he's particularly above using them to keep someone he cared about. He'd just be careful about it.

Killua doesn't need romantic attachments to fuel his warped sense of protectiveness.

In his mind, any relationship the reader has that is romantic or outside of the friend group is a threat.

They are trying to take the reader from him, and another of his percieved siblings would be out of his realm of protection from Illumi, Malluki, Chrollo, or Hiskoka.

He will resort to killing your romantic prospects if he must.

General Chrollo Headcanons!

I will be making a separate post for my romantic/relationship headcanons of him! I’m a bit nervous because I know I’m in the minority with some of my views however I’m up for making a second part to this as this definitely isn’t all, or even expanding on certain things if anyone’s interest. My request box is always open ✨

✥ Chrollo has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Aside from his childhood trauma, this can also affect his ability to identify and express his emotions. He’s also a master of masking, but if he’s out and overwhelmed, he’s definitely stimming with his fingers when he places his hands in his pockets.

✥ Chrollo Lucilfer and “Boss” started off as two different identities. Being the Head of the Phantom Troupe was merely another role however over the years, Chrollo started to lose his individuality. He’s gotten lost in the idea of being a villain that being himself sometimes feels foreign, or he might not recognize it when that side of him comes out. It wasn’t just Sarasa that died that day, but a piece of himself as well.

✥ Chrollo himself is a bit childish. He gets a small glint of genuine joy in his eyes when he’s talking about something he’s passionate about. Whether it’s a book series, the Power Cleaners, or certain species of arachnid. Seeing that side of him truly is something as it only comes out when he’s completely comfortable.

✥ On the other hand of that not, when he’s upset this also leads to him being pretty impulsive and making rather rash decisions. Chrollo is a master strategist but that can fall apart when pushed enough.

✥ Chrollo hums to himself when there’s a toon he’s fond of playing. Most times it’s subconsciously and he doesn’t even catch himself doing so unless it’s pointed out to him.

✥ This man hates crowds of people. Not being able to keep track of what everyone’s doing, the heat, the smell- It’s completely awful to him. It’s more overwhelming than most heists and if not on a job he will avoid them at all costs.

✥ Chrollo is very comfortable in his gender as a cis man but often indulges in things that are stereotypically feminine. Make up, painting his nails, even sporting a bit of women’s garments into his every day style.

✥ The Troupe as a whole is a found family of sorts, but Chrollo holds a particular closeness with the original members. The Spider he was closest with overall being Pakunoda.

✥ Given what we know about Nen, I believe Chrollo was born as a natural conjuror. Though with him changing as a person and honing his Nen for those three years, his aura adapted to specialization.

✥ Chrollo’s ethnicity is Japanese Italian. A true wasian man if I do say so myself. Though I feel he’s a bit more in touch with his Japanese heritage.

✥ He returns a lot to Meteor City outside of his Troupe affairs. He’s somewhat famous there and you bet there’s kids running up to him, gently tugging at his coat asking him to tell them about his “adventures”. Chrollo of course does so on his free time, sharing stories of their heists though somewhat spinning it to paint them as heroes akin to the Power Cleaners.

✥ Chrollo doesn’t kill innocent people unless they’re accidentally caught in the crossfire or truly it’s necessary like how he used the crowd in his fight with Hisoka.

✥ Chrollo suffers from insomnia due to being plagued by night terrors though aside from that he can honestly fall asleep anywhere if tired enough. It doesn’t matter if it’s the hair ground of the forest or a nice bed, he’ll make due.

✥ Of course if given a bed, you will definitely catch this man hugging/cuddling his pillow. And he definitely prefers to be completely smothered in blankets and pillows to feel like he’s been held. (I’ll say it now, he’s a little spoon)

✥ Chrollo is definitely a light weight when it comes to alcohol. He’s buzzed on two cheap beers so he’s always careful to restrain himself in that regard.

✥ He is a S class NERD. Chrollo will shame movie or show adaptations for their inaccuracies to their book counterparts. If someone brings up an obscure topic that he just so happened to read about, he’s making his knowledge known.

✥ Pretty much everyone is aware of Chrollo’s love for pudding but I’m here to say his love for sweets is endless. Cakes, ice cream, candies, chocolate- he literally can’t get enough. And bet your ass he’s suffered a deal of tooth pain during his younger years because of it. Though he’s good on his dental hygiene as an adult.

✥ Chrollo can naturally be quite competitive. Whether he’s playing chess or just entertaining a Troupe member’s game of hang man. He’s always going for the win.

✥ When he’s not masking, Chrollo’s genuine laugh is truly adorable. On the rare occasion he might even snort. (He’ll always deny that he did though)

✥ Being from Meteor City, Chrollo is on the most accepting and least judgmental people when it comes to LGBTQ, race, religion/culture, mental disorders, or any physical differences. He didn’t even know something like being gay or trans was looking down on in certain places of the world.

CHROLLO AND KURAPIKA HEADCANONS

Chrollo lives for the Phantom Troupe, for him this is the only way to go.  But if one were able to break into the heart of the devoted leader, it would be quite a feat. 

Chrollo would still be devoted to work, but once you wrapped him in the chains, not of death like Kurapika, but of love, he would be handed over to you.  Although before he didn't care much about whether he was going to live or die, it's like Chrollo's personality, your existence causes a desire for protection.  In his mind, from now on, he needs to do this job. 

You would always be escorted, but only by the more centered of the troupe.  And updates of your every step would be required from them. 

No, Chrollo wouldn't shove you into a dirty hole where the troupe gathers.  You would be oblivious to it.  Being with a wanted has disadvantages. 

You would have to live with a certain absence of Chrollo sometimes, who wants to not put you in any situation that could be used against him.  And if someone discovered your whereabouts and threatened to kill you, Chrollo would without hesitation do the impossible to save you, if there was no way out, he would ask for your life in exchange for his own. 

On the other hand, we would need a better word than luxury to describe your situation.  Chrollo would bathe you in wealth.  You would be extremely spoiled.  And when he had the opportunity to be with you, he would be affectionate and seductive, and handsome as he is, it wouldn't take much effort on his part.  When together he would cover you with kisses and hugs, smiling in a naughty way knowing about his power how he always get what he wants. 

And in case you ever went against his opinion, Chrollo would just smile and use all the manipulative power he possesses to get inside your mind.  Until his will was fulfilled. 

Chrollo would not be insecure in a relationship.  But depending on the level of love he feels, leaving him wouldn't be a good idea. 

Chrollo is a leader by nature, and he knows how to direct things to happen according to the plans he has.  With you the effort would be channeled, leaving you at the mercy of the head of the Phantom Troupe's tender arms.

Love him, it's not an option. But well…this it's not that hard, isn't?

Revenge is the angelic man's reason for living.  Kurapika works hard to do justice.  But when crossing your path and falling for your grace, he would have an existential crisis. 

Revenge is something that seems to cry out for him.  But questions such as.  "- Would that bring them back? Is this a sign that I can follow a different destiny? Questions of this nature would torment Kurapika's head. That he would only have moments of quiet by your side of the brave member of the extinct Kuruta clan, with you  moments when Kurapika would feel something inside of him filling his being more than an emptiness in his chest.

Simple things that you did on a daily couple basis between the self-imposed missions that Kurapika would perform, would make him just fall more and more. Ice cream, outdoors together, all this would lead him to rethink your safety and his own.

After all, he has thought of something special about your future...

He continues to be careful and eliminate members of the Phantom Troupe without you knowing, because in his opinion, you would try to stop him, which would be true.

But he becomes cautious, as the desire to get back to the one he loves would increase, becoming a necessity.

Kurapika would be wary of displays of affection at first, but if you're the type who loves to show how much you love through caresses, he'll sooner or later discover a side of you he didn't think so exist.  He would develop affection and crave your touch.  The run of your fingers through his golden hair, the small, long kisses, the light bites on his neck would make him blush and feel overwhelmed in passion and desire. But at some point he would realize that without it he could no longer live. 

Yes, he would complete his revenge.  But after that, surely a ring would be on your finger.  In addition to all the love he's sure he feels, because as we know, Kurapika isn't the type to have doubts about his decisions. 

He would also love you with one goal in mind, that of restoring his own clan, when choosing someone, he would be old romantic and faithful for life, and definitely devoted to his family proudly.

Hisoka

Your unique abilities and strong Nen definitely captured Hisoka's attention. 💀 He saw a potential rival in you and was intrigued by your Emotion Empowerment.

Hisoka, the thrill-seeker that he is, becomes fascinated with your powers and wants to test you in battle, just like with Gon. He would challenge you to combat, hoping to witness the full extent of your abilities.

Hisoka found your magical powers tempting, especially your telepathy, which allowed him to dive deeper into your emotions and psyche. It doesn’t matter how much you’d try avoiding him, Hisoka would find his way to you.

Illumi

Your extraordinary powers definitely intrigued Illumi, who saw potential in your abilities for his own benefits. So Illumi wouldn’t really care about you, he’d only care about your powers. At first, he approaches you with great skepticism, but gradually, he grew intrigued by your Emotion Empowerment and how it could be manipulated.

Illumi quickly recognized the usefulness of your Spiritual Gateways in his line of work. Although the relationship would primarily be based on mutual benefit, they developed a special understanding.

Your ability to channel emotions into powers really does fascinate Illumi, he would occasionally observe you in combat to further examine your techniques.

Chrollo

Chrollo, being a collector of unique abilities, he couldn't resist the allure of your powers. But let’s be real, he would most definitely try to steal your nen.

I have always headcanoned him to have a very greedy side and this side of his would appear while trying to steal your nen abilities. Chrollo would manipulate, gaslight, fight, threaten you to get her abilities.

If he somehow does fails to do so his B plan would be to proposed an exchange of knowledge, sharing his insights into Nen and unconventional applications. In return, you gain access to Chrollo's vast library of stolen abilities, allowing you to expand your repertoire. The interactions between you two would be stimulating, filled with discussions on the nature of powers.

Despite Chrollo's mysterious nature, he developed a sense of respect for your unique capabilities, and y’all formed an unusual alliance based on their shared knowledge.

Gon

Gon, with his boundless enthusiasm, quickly befriend you. Gon would mostly by fascinated by your glowing stars and balls of light!

Gon would often finds himself entranced by their shimmering beauty, and his emotions fuel your powers. You both would spend hours together, experimenting with your abilities and discovering new ways to combine each other’s powers.

Killua

Killua, would be impressed by your proficiency in nen and her diverse magical powers. He would see you as a potential equal in terms of combat prowess (which is something big i should say).

Killua would act like he despises you but he secretly admires your skills. You two would engage in intense training sessions, pushing each other to your limits.

Kurapika

Kurapika, with his analytical mind, would be fascinated by your power of Emotion Empowerment. He would mostly observe how your emotions directly influence the greatness of your abilities, and he’d actually spend time studying this unique aspect of your powers. Kurapika would also emphasize with your personality.

Leorio

Leorio, is obviously fascinated by your abilities but his favorite ability is probably the one to open Spiritual Gateways. He would also see the potential to use these portals for humanitarian purposes! Such as reaching remote areas in need of medical assistance.

It would be cute if you two collaborate to provide aid to those in need, utilizing her powers of teleportation and healing to make a positive impact on the world!

Headcanon Time!

Chrollo headcanons idk TW: sex mention like once

Mouths along to books when he reads. He only does this when he’s alone, really, but sometimes if he’s deep in thought or deep into the story, you can see his lips moving along with the words on the page.

I don’t think we really understand the magnitude in which this man steals. The auction was a walk in the park. Chrollo will take anything that isn’t nailed down, just to really see if he can. He gets his thrills from stealing.

When the Mona Lisa went missing? It was Chrollo. The Holy Grail actually has been found, and it has also spent two weeks as Chrollo’s toothbrush holder.

Chrollo uses malaphors all the time. He thinks they’re funny and way more fitting than the actual idiom. His favorite is “We’ll cross that bridge when we burn it.” “He’s a wolf in cheap clothing” is a close second.

Chrollo is multilingual, but he doesn’t let anyone know this who doesn’t know already. A common way to find out that Chrollo speaks different languages is to either see him flipping through a book whose title is in a different script, or to be out on the field with him.

Shizuku found out the boss could read different languages when they were stranded during a mission and Shizuku needed a restroom. She couldn’t read the signs, but Chrollo could.

Loves classical music, does not play often. He gets inclined to play and listen to music when he is upset, so when he gets the urge, but nothing is wrong, he just ignores it to avoid alarming the troupe members. Might hum under his breath.

No sweet tooth but can cook and bake something fierce. Cookbooks, along with religious texts, were some of Chrollo’s first books.

On that note, Chrollo remembers books cover to cover. He remembers favorite passages, but never marks them or highlights them. He thinks if anyone picks up his books and sees what his favorite parts are they’ll assume (or know) too much about him.

Chrollo in a relationship is a masterclass of experimentation on his part. He wants to know who you are, how and why you tick. You might not learn a thing about him, but he’ll know everything about you.

He likes to mess with your emotions. He wants to see how you wear them, especially in comparison to himself and other people he’s been with.

That tiktok trend where people tell their parents and grandparents a favorite celebrity died is a good example of something Chrollo might do just to see what you’d do. Might hide your dog and say he sold it. Would break your mother’s urn, it may or may not be a fake.

Likes kissing. Thinks its far more intimate than sex and will work you up with kissing and then just leave you if you let him. He was just in it for the smoochies.

Sexually, Chrollo does like the buildup and teasing before sex more than the actual act as well. Big on foreplay.

Bi man. You cannot and will not change my mind.
