✨Pairing✨: Andy BarberxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: Andy doesn’t know what to think of this new customer service
⚠️: Fluff💕!
A/N: This is based off an adorable TikTok I saw, so I’m hoping I do it justice trying to write something off the top of my head. Hope you guys like it☺️!
Locking the door behind him, a tired sigh passes his lips as he tosses his keys in the dish and placed his briefcase on the wooden table in the foyer holding today’s mail: a couple of bills, a store catalog for you, and a postcard for baby Sienna signed by your parents from their vacation in Hawaii. The two year old was sure to squeal and awe at the picture of two dolphins breaking the water’s surface with what looked to be smiles on their faces.
“Sweetheart, I’m home!,” he announces removing his suit jacket before loosening the solid, navy blue tie around his neck.
“In the bathroom!,” you shout back followed by water splashing and high pitched giggles as if Sienna was trying to announce her presence as well. After a day filled with hearings and paperwork, he was more than happy to sit back against the soft, cream cushions of the couch; house flooded with laughs and little songs from his girls flowing down the hall. He let the sweet sounds and day’s exhaustion drift him to sleep, eventually stirring again a few minutes later at the constant taps on his chest.
“Hi princess,” he groggily smiles seeing his daughter’s mahogany eyes as she holds out a small plastic cup incredibly close to his face.
“Offree dada.” He can’t help but chuckle at her offering of coffee, and how witnessing him, or you, pour the dark liquid into his usual white mug before adding a small amount of sugar every day only solidified the idea in her head that “daddy must really like coffee.”
“Thank you honey.”
She carefully climbs down his legs in her light green butterfly onesie toddling over to her play kitchen set where she babbled to herself while searching through the plastic plates and utensils.
“Let me guess, coffee?,” you ask motioning to the little red cup as you lean down to meet your husband’s lips.
“I don’t know if I should be impressed at how attentive she is, or worried that she’s trying to tell me something,” he replies making you giggle as you settle in the cushions beside him, his arm sliding around your waist to trace his fingers along the side of your recently shaved thigh.
“Well she made me five cups in the span of an hour, so I’m thinking it’s just her specialty.”
As if knowing she was the topic of discussion, she hurries over with tight curls bouncing atop her head in two puffs and a mini frying pan in her hand holding it out towards Andy.
“Food?”
This meant she wanted you to give her your order so she could “cook” for you. Something she’d loved to do since getting the play set for her birthday, feeling as if she was just like her parents getting to prepare food in her own little kitchen.
“Hmm what do I want?,” Andy pretended to think, lightly scratching his beard. He’d typically just choose one of her favorites whenever she’d ask making her face light up before running back to her stove. This time though, Andy wondered how she’d react if he gave more than one answer.
“What about pizza..and French fries?”
“Oooh!,” she gasps clearly happy with his choice.
“And nuggets with tatoes,” he adds watching her excitedly bounce on her toes before walking towards the pretend kitchen.
“Ohh and Mac and cheese! And yogurt and ice cream.” Sienna let out a small huff, not being able to cook yet since her dad seemed to want everything tonight, which made you laugh to yourself at her growing impatience.
“I think I want cake too with cookies and candy and-,”
“Dada! Dada!,” she interrupted shaking his leg seemingly trying to tell him “that’s too much!”
“What? I’m giving my order.”
Babbling to herself as she left the pan on his lap, her feet pad to her toy chest retrieving Kit, her favorite kitten stuffed animal, before lying down next to the oven with a tired sounding sigh.
“I uh think she said if you want all that, you’re cooking it yourself. She’s off kitchen duty,” you laugh truly tickled at your daughter’s sass. Andy can’t help but laugh to himself either, getting up to place the small pan with the rest of her toys before picking her up from the floor to rest against his chest with arms around his neck.
“Be glad you’re cute. Anybody else I would’ve given a low score for customer service,” he smiles kissing the top of her sleeping head.

Six Months in Boston
Pairing: Chris Evans/OC Erin Rose
Summary: Up and coming YA author Erin Rose, was sent to a small suburb 30 minutes Northwest of Boston to finish the last two books of her series, she is about to get very close to her very handsome new neighbor.
a/n: here goes nothing!
chapter 1: Enjoy Nature
"Oh my God! Just poop already Letty!" You shout at your Chihuahua Dachshund mix breed dog. She finally does and you pick it up and tie the bag.
You are walking on a new path the realtor showed you on a map. Your phone rings and it's your   sister Tilly FaceTime'ing you.
"Hey girl......where the fuck are you? Are you exercising?"
"Ugh gross! Never. Just exploring, Mike the realtor was saying there are 30 beautiful walking paths all around! Enjoy nature....that fucking tool."
"Where exactly are you? In case I need to come and find your body in the woods."
"In a small suburb, its technically the country! I'm thirty minutes northwest of Boston. My editor sent me to Boston. MASSACHUSETTS!! LIKE WHO AUTHORIZED THIS. For a year Till! I'm a hard core West coast kid! Born and raised near the ghetto."
"Pasadena, is nowhere near the ghetto. Its your fault, your way to good of a writer. Your first book shouldn't have been so good. Like bitch, you already have studios fighting for the movie rights."
You wrote, The Wish Masters, your senior year in Grad school on a whim. Your professor wanted you all to write 1 chapter of a book and you wrote 15, when you turned it, she called you into her office the following Monday. 6 years later on your 35th birthday it was released.
It bit of Harry Potter mixed in with Tinkerbell. All the Fairy families are separated by the type of groups and your story starts when the age of fairies start to die off. Deenah and her friends Mave and Trax are off on a journey to fix and restore the age of Fairies.
"Yeah, yeah. Oh no there a dog loose." You see a brown and white dog with a red collar and leash dragging behind him.
"Let me see!" Tilly says.
You flip the camera and stick your phone in your sportsbra.
You call him over and read his tag.
"Hey Dodger, gosh are a pretty dog. Letty, this is Dodger, Dodger, this wild animal is Letty girl."
You pick up his leash and continue walking the way Dodger came from.
"You fucking weirdo. That dog looks familiar. What's his name?"
"Familiar? Are you an Instagram dog, D man?" You say leaning closer to Dodger.
"Holy fucking shit! That's Chris Evans dog. I bet my fucking life on it."
"Seriously? Please God, don't let this be his dog. I'm not ready!"
You hear a man's voice calling out Dodger's name.
"Oh no......"
The person you see, isn't Chris Evans but his younger brother, Scott.
"That's Scott his brother!" Tilly says.
"I know.....Shhhh."
"Dodger! Hey man, you scared us." Scott says walking up to you.
"He just walked up to us." You say handing him the leash.
"Thank you! Chris would have KILLED me! I got him." He says as he yells back to the sound of a person walking up behind you.
You look past him and see Chris Evans.
Your mind goes blank.
"Hi I'm Tilly!" You sister says from your boobs.
"Hi, mystery voice coming from this nice lady's boobs. " Scott says.
"OH my God! It's my sister." You take your phone out of your sportsbra and turn it so he can see her.
She waves like a crazy person.
"Hi, Tilly. I'm Scott."
"Hi! This is my sister Erin Rose."
"I totally forgot to introduce myself."
"She's a writer she wrote The Wish Masters, Jimmy Fallon just had her on last week. She just sent the second and half of the third one to her editor, She there to write two more books, she'll be there a year and she lives at 347 Mills Rd and that's her dog Letty, we found her on a trip to Joshua Tree, four years ago."
"Stop talking or I'm going to hang up and block you." You say to the phone.
"Sorry....."
"Well, this is my brother Chris Evans, he is an actor, you know him from Not Another Teen Movie and Cellular. He's has lived here for about three years and he lives at 345 Mills Rd and that's his dog Dodger, who he got a shelter about three years ago."
You look at Chris who is shaking his head.
You mouth, "I'm so sorry."
He mouth,"No, I'm sorry."
You both smile at each other. You look away to where Dodger and Letty are laying down, Letty is laying on Dodger's legs licking him.
"Well, it looks like you two are neighbors." Scott says to you both.
"Right! That's awesome, she's very single." Tilly says as she hangs up.
"Oooh she's not getting invited to any of the movie premieres. I'm going go home. Come on Letty." You say pulling her leash.
She doesn't budge.
"To bad you only weigh eleven pounds." You say picking her up.
You turn to your left and then to your right.
Fuck!
Erin why are you so dumb!
You have no clue which direction your house is.
"Left." Chris says.
"Thank you." You say turning back left and walking away holding a dog that doesn't want to leave.
"She left her water bottle." Scott says.
"I'll take it to her later." Chris says picking it up.
"She's gorgeous......did you see her ass......damn." Scott says.
Chris just looks at him as he starts to walk away, Dodger turns and tries to follow the direction you left in.
"I did, and that's all I'm going to say."
"You going to save that image for your spank bank?"
"Spank bank? Seriously?"
"Sorry, I watched 10 Things I Hate About You last night. Great film. I know how long it's been, so don't act like you haven't already ready pictured her under you or on her knees."
"For fucks sake, Scott!? I just met her, technically we haven't really even met." Chris says walking away.
Scott laughs as he walks behind Chris.
"Fuck you, Scott! Now that's all I'm thinking about!" He yells as he starts to run.
You make it back in 10 minutes.
You were talking out loud the whole time.
"Really! Is this really fucking happening! Chris fucking Evans! Is this because I read that Chris Evans fanfic? Listen! I'm sorry! Well I'm not really! That's story was cute and he sounds great in bed. Speaking of bed! Am I supposed to act like I didn't see his dick?  What a beautiful penis.....oh my God. We share a driveway....his house is what like sixty fucking feet from my house.......great now all I can think of his is dick! Did I save that on my phone?"
You were walking so fast and distracted you just realized you left your water bottle. You set it down when you picked up Dodger's leash.
"Dammit, I love that water bottle, let's go inside." You say to the dog that is sniffing all around Chris's side of the driveway.
You walk inside and Letty goes and gets in her kennel and gets under her blanket.
You take off your shoes and head to take a shower. Tilly calls right after you walk out of the shower.
"Can I help you?"
"Hi, I just spent the last 20 minutes Google'ing him. He's very much single. He loves to take Dodger out on walks, he's covered in tattoos, he enjoys working with his hands, he loves his family, is an ass man and he has a huge penis."
"I don't care. I'm not going to do anything with information. I'm here for one reason, to write these books. This is not a story someone is writing. I'm not going to fall in love with him, he isn't going to take me on long walks where we can't keep our hands off each other, our dogs aren't going to be best friends and constantly have to see each other, you and Scott aren't going to be best friend and have matching toasts at our beautiful Farmhouse wedding." You suddenly get choked up.
"Ohhhh Erin...I'm sorry. I just got excited." She says suddenly with emotion in her voice.
"Serves you right! Who said those acting classes wouldn't help me write better."
"You bitch! Just so you know he has a wide tongue, too." She hangs up.
Ugh, you just used the massage setting on your handheld shower head. Living next to him was going to kill you.
You get dressed, in a tank top dress that has a built-in bra and head out your pool. You hear laughing coming from your neighbor's house and fight the urge to look over.
"Erin!" You hear Chris yell.
"Please, have a shirt on...." You say before turning around.
"Hey, Chris."
Fuck him.
No, seriously.
Fuck this sexy ass bastard.
He of course, is in just black swim trunks walking closer to his the fence. There are all the tattoos Tilly said he had, she didn't mention the chest hair.....you just want you rub your hands all over his body.
This is the closet your houses are to each other.
"Did you get that?" Chris asks looking at you.
"Shit, sorry thinking about my...book." You stumbled out.
"I have your water bottle and I was thinking that I could say thank you for grabbing Dodger, by ordering us some lunch?"
"It was no hassle, he just walked right up to me. Sure, yes that would be great."
"You want to come over now? You can come swim with me....if you want. Can you....." He stops himself.
"Were you about to ask me, a black woman, if I can swim?" You say giving him tons of attitude.
He goes beet red.
"Uh no...I was just...you have your hair straight....so I....."
You start to laugh at him.
"I thought Mackie would have told you what not to ask a black woman, it's a weave, I'm taking out next week and getting braids. Yes, I can swim, I was actually a lifeguard all throughout high-school and college. I'll change and grab Letty."
You see the relief in his face.
Did you just fluster Chris Evans.....
You are thankful for your sister, she made you buy all new swimsuits with your cash advance money. You put on your Victoria's Secret ruffle bottom bikini, you got it in three colors, white, pink and green.
You put on the white one. Put your black sheer cover up.
You put your hair up in a messy bun and grabbed Letty.
"Listen, woman! You better act right! Do not pee on his floor!" You say to the dog who is very confused why she is getting a lecture.
You put her down and grab the gift basket you just got from Sam Adam's and the freezer box it came in. He isn't in the back yard any more so you walk to his front door and ring the door bell.
"Brace yourself Erin...." You mumble out.
You can hear Dodger barking and Chris telling him to calm down.
He opens the door and smiles at you.
"Welcome, here let me take that. Come in."
Thankfully he put a shirt on.
You follow him to his kitchen while looking in all of his rooms.
"Our houses are the exact same. Even down to the floors. Literally the exact same. You need to see it."
"I'd like that."
You both pause for a second.
Letty and Dodger playing is what broke the tension.
"Its Letty, right? From The Fast and The Furious."
"It is. Strangely, not many people get that."
"And Dodger, from Oliver and Company?"
"Yes, exactly. Most people think the baseball team."
"Why you have the Sox over here."
"Exactly. You want to head outside?"
"Lead the way."
He grabs the gift basket and walks towards his backyard.
"Did you buy this?"
"Nope, I mentioned them in an interview and I got this, just yesterday."
"Not going lie that probably my favorite thing about this whole crazy life."
"Same, dude! I swear, someone asked what pen I used and I said Paper-Mate and I had a special delivery the next day. I'm really looking forward to when these studios choose my book."
"Which studios?" He asks opening your gift basket.
"You're just gonna open MY gift basket?"
"I thought this was for me?" He says laughing.
"Why would I give you MY gift basket? I don't know you like that!" You say laughing too.
"Go ahead you already opened it. Paramount, Warner Brothers, Universal and Disney! I'm really excited about that one. They are thinking of my books as movies will start a new segment of Disney aimed at teenagers!" You practically shout.
"That's amazing and my heart is with Disney."
"Holy shit, I haven't told anyone that and wasn't supposed to........I figure you can keep a secret, Cap."
"You going to make me sign an NDA?" He says waaaaay to flirty.
He opens one of the beers and takes a long drink.
 He licks his bottom lip.
"I could get one drafted up, if I need to. Can I have I one of MY beers, please?"
"Fine, but I get this hat." He says pulling a blue Sam Adam's hat out.
He hands you a beer and your hands touch. He doesn't let go, he grabs his bottle opener and opens for you.
"Thanks. Stop taking my stuff Christopher!"
"You don't want this hat or.....this beer coozie or.........these beer pretzels." He says taking all the things he mentioned.
"Give me those fucking pretzels."You say reaching for them.
"Come on, you don't want these." He opens the bag and takes a handful.
"Ohh you are not nice." You say standing up you take off your swim cover and walk up to him. Your breast are touching his chest and every time you inhale he looks down at your chest.
"Can I help you?" He says looking down at you.
"Chris, can I please, pretty please have those pretzels, I need something hard..and..salty in my mouth."You say with your hands on his chest.
He hands them to you without another word.
"Thanks, dude." You say grabbing them and sitting back down on his pool chaise.
"That was so mean! I'm still keeping this hat and coozie." He says looking over at you.
"Sure, but I'm keeping the corn hole set."
"You sure? I can take it off your hands."
You hear Letty barking at the backdoor.
Chris goes and let's them both put, they are chasing each other in circles, they finally sit he keeps messing with her and she keeps biting him then running away.
"Looks, like they found their best friend." Chris says.
"Yep. She's such an alpha. I'm surprised she letting him be so aggressive with her."
"Well, he definitely likes the challenge of a strong woman."
"She definitely likes the attention."
"He really likes to give it."
You weren't sure at what point you both stopped talking about the dogs but you needed to get in the pool to cool off.
"So we doing this or nah?"
"Huh?" The confusion on his face was priceless.
"Swimming? Or did you just asked me to get in a bikini for nothing."
He pulls off his shirt, finished his beer and walks to the pool, turns to face you, winks and does a perfect back flip.
"Oh you fancy." You get up and walk up to about 3 feet to his pool turn towards him do a cart wheel, that goes into a round off, which has you end right at the edge of his pool, then you do a backflip into the water.
"I give that a fucking ten." He says swimming up to you.
"Thank you. I'll give yours a 9.5 you lost a half point for trying to flirt with the judge."
"I should be given a whole extra point for that."
You splash him and swim away.
"Oooh now you started it." He dives down and pulls you under the water.
You poke him in the ribs and he let's go.
"Ouch!"
You swim up close to him.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to...."
He pulls you under again.
You pull him down too and start to have a contest to see who can stay under water longer. It's been 30 seconds and he is struggling. He groans and swims up.
He watches you as you flip into a handstand underwater and walk away from him, you come up 20 seconds later.
"Damn...."
"Sorry, lifeguard!"
"I normally have much better breath control." He says swimming closer to you.
"Oh really? You practice that?" You say smirking.
"Haven't needed to, come here."
You get closer and he reaches right under your eye takes the eyelash that had fallen.
"Make a wish." He says holding it up to your mouth.
You close your eyes and blow.
You open your eyes slowly and he is staring at you.
You throw caution to the wind and put your arms around his neck and he immediately put his arms around your waist and pulls you towards him. He walks to the shallow end of his pool and puts you against the side of it.
"I'm fighting every urge to kiss you." He says.
"Same. You have no idea how much I want to."
"Then why aren't we kissing?" He says nuzzling and nipping your jaw.
"Because we both know it not going to just be kissing."
"Kiss me and find out." He says kissing your cheek and right under your ear.
"Why don't you kiss me?" You say running your nails down his back.
"I am kissing you." He moves down to your neck.
You turn your head so he'll kiss that spot under your jaw. He does and you practically moan out his name.
"Fuck, you sound so good moaning out my name."
"Kiss me." You moan out as he kisses that spot again.
"Where?" He runs his tongue against that spot and gently bites you.
You finally turn your head and kiss him. He somehow pulled you even closer.
You put your hands in his hair as he slides his tongue inside your mouth. You pull away a bit and just look at him.
"What? We can stop."
"Nothing, I'm just taking you in. You're really good looking. I did not think this was going to happen." You say giggling.
"You're sweet. You're so gorgeous. You didn't? That bikini doesn’t agree." He says putting his hand on your ass.
You just laugh.
"Apparently, the internet is true, 'Chris Evans, an ass man'."
"With an ass like this, most definitely." He says putting his other hand on your ass.
"You are a whole mess. But to answer your question, I had maybe hoped that I could make out with my super hot neighbor, maybe just once."
"I knew it. Well that same internet calls you 'The writer who is taking YA by storm' I also saw your photoshoot in Vanity Fair, that's why I hoped you were going to wear a bikini, but this....."He runs his thumb along the edge of your bikini bottoms. "This is better than I could imagined."
He kisses you again and you wrap your legs around his waist and you can finally feel his amazing dick against your pussy.
"Damn, I can feel how warm your pussy is, I can't wait to taste you." He says in your ear.
"You look like this and can talk dirty."
"That's nothing......."
You bring his mouth back to yours and bite his bottom lip.
He reaches up and unties your bikini top, then kisses his way down to your nipple and slowly sucks it into his mouth, between his hot mouth and the chill of the water your close to an orgasm.
"Oh my goodness. You are the absolute worst."
He moves to your left breast, while his hand slowly making its way to your pussy.
The backdoor opens....
"Chris, I called you like 8 fucking times...............well hello Erin." Scott says.
"Oh my God, Scott!" You yell.
Chris just holds you close to give you some sort of cover.
"I obviously don't have my phone on me."
"I can see your hands are very full." He says looking straight into the water.
Chris tries to re-tie your top.
"Walk her to me." Scott says squatting down.
He ties the your top for you and get off of Chris.
"Well, this is not embarrassing at all!" You say swimming away.
"I'm fine." Scott says taking off his sandals and shirt and getting in the pool.
"That was the beginning and not the ending of that, right?"
"Ask him." You say laughing.
"You good over?" Scott asks him, when you both realize that he hadn't moved.
"Yep." He quickly turn and swims straight for you.
You scream and try to swim away.
He grabs you around the waist and puts you over his shoulder, then stand up so your ass is in his face and he turns and bites your left ass cheek. Then takes you back under the water. You bite him on his back and he let's you go.
You swim away and hide behind Scott.
"Nope, don't bring that shit over here."
"You heard him. Go away Chris."
"Come here, Erin."
He says as he lunges towards you.
You were quicker and got out of the pool.
He watches you walk away.
"Erin, can I have fries with that shake?"
"You better behave."
"This is me behaving."
"You want a beer, Scott?"
"Always." You open it and had it to him.
"Do I get one?"
"Are you going to behave?"
"Probably, not."
You open his and walk it over to him.
You finally get yours.
"Watch this."
You put your beer bottle on the edge of the pool, stand to the left of it.
You do a cart wheel right over the bottle but stay on your hands and pick it up with your teeth and suck it in a little, then do a front to back slit then push off your hands and gracefully flip into the water. You come up with the beer bottle still in your mouth.
"Holy shit. That's awesome." Scott says.
Chris is just leaning against the side of the pool staring at you.
You swim up to him
"You didn't like it?"  You ask feeling a bit insecure.
He grabs your hand and walks you out of the pool and straight towards his back door.
"We'll be right back. Go ahead order whatever for lunch." He says to Scott as you follow him inside.

✨Pairing✨: mob!Ari LevinsonxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: He stops in your restaurant everyday, and both of you can’t wait.
⚠️: Rude customer, fluff💕
A/N: I really like the mob AU idea from some stories I’ve read here and I’ve always wanted to write my own imagine with that plot and finally had my own idea for a little series I could do with it! I hope you guys like it☺️!
“Looks like your friend is here,” your co-worker, Sherry, smiles playfully nudging your arm a mere seconds before the bell on the door dings of his arrival. Nine o’clock, as usual, sitting at one of the tables in front of the wide window with today’s newspaper to his right and phone in hand typing away at the screen. Today you see he decided to sport your favorite: his navy blue suit paired with a white button down underneath partially opened towards the top that you could see the gold medallion he typically wore. His black shoes shining even under the table from the overhead light hitting them just right.
The few months you’ve seen him come in, he never failed to look anything less than dapper. Then again that was usually the dress code for anyone coming into the restaurant, always well-groomed and flashing their wealth whether physically in the luxury brands and jewelry they wore or sometimes vocally if they were bold and arrogant enough.
That’s where he differed though.
There was always a small sense of intimidation with those you served having and coming from much less, but not with him. He was so down to earth and seemed genuinely interested when asking about your day or your weekend plans. Just being in his presence brought a comfort that you reluctantly had to leave whenever you had to wait on someone else or it was time for one of his meetings.
“Good morning Mr. Levinson. What can I get you?,” you smile, notepad and pen ready for his order. You probably didn’t need it since he tended to order the same thing every morning: coffee, black, with a couple slices of toast and some butter on the side. “What can I say, I like what I like,” he shrugged with a small chuckle when you pointed it out in one of your earlier conversations.
“Good morning, and I thought we talked about you calling me that?,” he smirks looking up from the sports section spread out on the table.
“I know, but I’m supposed to be-,”
“Professional. I understand angel.”
And there was that little nickname making your insides flutter and your body heat from being flustered. It’s also what made Sherry term him as your “friend” passing by last week and hearing the endearing name pass his pink lips.
“I’ll just take coffee today. Can’t stay as long as I used to.”
There’s a small, disappointed pang to your heart that you wouldn’t be able to talk with him like you usually could. Hardly anyone showed up in the morning, mostly coming for lunch and dinner so there were plenty of times he would invite you to sit with him, keeping him company for just a short while before you had to appear as if you were working.
It didn’t take any time for you at all to retrieve one of the coffee pots from the many coffee makers before returning to his table carefully pouring the strong smelling liquid into the white porcelain cup sat on top of the miniature plate.
“Anything else I can get you?”
“No this is perfect, thank you. You always take care of me angel,” he smiles blowing the steam from the cup as the praise hits just enough to have you bashfully biting your lower lip to hide your giggle.
“Y-You’re welcome. Let me know if you need anything mister- I mean Ari.”
“Um excuse me?,” a customer calls snapping his fingers from across the room. “I’ve been here for 10 minutes and haven’t even gotten a water yet.”
“That was a lie,” Ari thought slowly placing his cup down giving the man a once over. He saw him walk in all haughty dripping with self entitlement maybe five minutes ago, yet he has the nerve to get angry. And with you of all people. He wasn’t even sitting in your section, so really the impatient man wasn’t your responsibility. Knowing you though, he wasn’t surprised to watch you walk over apologizing to the undeserving, weak Wall Street minion trying your best to satisfy his needs.
“What else can I get you besides water?”
“No, I don’t want water. Get me a coffee with three creams and one sugar. The good kind not the fake stuff in the packet, along with the chef’s omelette. And try to have it out to me before you close,” the older, bald man orders sliding his menu to the side, completely ignoring your outstretched hand trying to grab it, before answering his phone.
Your quiet, “yes sir,” along with a heavy sigh had Ari boiling at how someone could mistreat such an innocent and sweet person like you just trying to do their job. Plus the annoying man just seemed to talk louder the longer his conversation ran interrupting Ari’s peaceful reading.
A few seconds later, you returned with his coffee prepared just as he requested, and then again with his food smelling just as delicious as it looked.
“About time,” he grumbled before tucking his napkin beneath the collar of his wrinkled shirt and picking up his fork and knife already slicing through the folded egg.
“Let me know if-,”
“What is this?!,” he asks dropping his utensils on the table that ultimately clattered all the way to the black floor. “I didn’t want onions!”
“I’m sorry sir, but you didn’t say-,”
“Can you do anything right?!,” he sighs, “Guess they just hire anybody today.”
“Would you like me to get you another one without them? Or something else?,” you ask doing the best you could to hide your annoyance and frustration.
“No, I want you to sit out front and look pretty,” he sarcastically retorts, “what do you think?”
“Let me get the chef for you,” you reply moving towards the kitchen.
“You do that.”
Ari had seen and heard enough.
———
“Alright, what seems to be the problem?,” the chef, Frank, asks following you out to the dining room floor. To your surprise though, the customer was no longer there, just Ari drinking the last of his coffee before folding his newspaper.
“I thought you said there was a customer mad about his order?”
“Oh that guy? He seemed to change his mind while you were back there,” Ari answers digging in his pocket for his wallet. “Actually started to like onions after the first bite.” Sure enough looking at his plate, it was completely cleaned without a crumb in sight as if he licked those away too.
“Huh, well good for him. No issue after all,” Frank sighs patting your shoulder before returning to his position in front of the stove. You’re still left confused, wondering what made him change his mind after getting so angry over something so minuscule. However not for long as Ari hands you some folded up bills along with his ticket in the black, leather folder. Standing so close and being face to face with his chest, you can smell the deep patchouli mixed with citrus wafting off his clothes that has you suddenly weak feeling as if you need something to lean on.
“S-So um same time tomorrow?,” you nervously chuckle trying to rid the melting feeling from your head and legs.
“Afraid not. I have a full day tomorrow starting at eight, so I can’t stop by,” he answers, noticing the slight dim in your usual glow that makes warmth spread across his whole chest.
“I am having a party for the opening of my office tomorrow night that I’d love for you to come to. You can even bring a friend or friends.”
“Oh, um okay. Yea I think I can make it,” you shyly smile making a soft one spread across his bearded face as well.
“If you can’t or need a ride, just give me a call,” he replies handing you a matte black business card with only his name and number in a simple yet bold, gold font.
“Will do.”
Just as he strides towards the door, thick back muscles perfectly showcased from the tailored suit, your voice calls him back walking up to him holding out the money he left, no longer folded.
“You left $500,” you whisper, “I think this is meant for something else.”
The slightly calloused yet also soft feel of his hands manually closing yours as he leans in next to your ear along with the gentle rub of his beard on your cheek has a short, surprised gasp escaping your lips that you’ll surely be embarrassed about later.
“I know what it was meant for angel,” he answers. Deepened, husky voice vibrating your eardrum with his whisper. Backing away, there’s a smug grin on his face at how shy and flustered he has you. You didn’t see it though, currently unable to meet his eyes as you focused on your breathing and the floor beneath your feet.
“You have a good day Y/N.”
“Thanks. Y-You too Ari.” Leaving you with a small wave, your eyes follow him through the window until he’s no longer in view and you can somewhat regain your normal breathing. You tried to distract yourself with cleaning and getting ready for the impending lunch rush as you pick up his discarded cup carrying it to the other table that once sat the disgruntled customer to collect his plate and cup also.
Something catches your eye though at the top corner of the white, square plate that you know wasn’t there earlier.
Your finger delicately glides along the small crack until the chipped piece gives way leaving a v shaped gap about an inch long in its place. On the table cloth just above the plate was a single red droplet while next to the gap the same red stain seemed to have been spread a bit leaving behind more so of a line. There was no ketchup nor hot sauce on the table that could cause the stain so you couldn’t help but wonder,
“Is this blood?”

That Was Unexpected..
Tumblr media
✨Pairing✨: Chris EvansxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: A little prank causes your boyfriend to dig himself into a pretty deep hole
⚠️: Chris being a meatball, fluff💕!
A/N: Hey guys, I hope you like this short imagine! (Don’t really know how I feel about the ending but 🤷🏽‍♀️) This is just something quick and fluffy I wanted to write based off this post I saw on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CTZ4vpqFH0w/?utm_medium=copy_link
scottevansgram sent a post
scottevansgram: You should do this just to see what Chris says
scottevansgram: And please let me know if he says something corny like this lol
y/IG/n: Lol and I’ll do you one better😏
Switching your phone to its camera, it’s strategically angled so only your face is seen as to not make your boyfriend suspicious of what you were doing. Not that he’d see it since his attention was solely on the Patriots game playing on the screen. He probably would’ve forgotten you were beside him if not for your calves lying across his lap.
You press record just in time to catch his frustration at the last play making you roll your eyes at the phone propped up by your thighs.
“We can’t keep makin’ dumb mistakes like that if we wanna go to the Super Bowl,” he states. Thick Boston accent very much active before taking a drink of his beer.
“Hey, I think I’m gonna sleep on the couch tonight,” you casually announce picking a piece of lint off your shirt. Well, really his but he hardly ever wore it.
You now had his attention though meeting his eyes shining the lightest of greens from the peaking sunlight, as his hand gently grazed over your shin. “Why? You don’t feel good?”
“No I’m fine, I just want to sleep on the couch.”
“Oh okay, we can have a little camp out in here then. Make a fort and watch movies,” he smiles leaning over just enough to sweetly kiss your knee.
“That sounds fun, but I was kinda expecting to sleep by myself,” you reply. His furrowed eyebrows and puppy like eyes aiming right at your heart.
“…did I do something?”
Now, you could’ve ended it there. Easing his worries by explaining how it was just a joke and you wanted to see how he’d react.
Where would the fun be in that though?
“Did you do something?,” you counter making it sound as innocent as you could.
“No,” he quickly answers before his hand nervously scratches the back of his neck. One of the common tells that he was lying. “Well-,”
“Well? Christopher what did you do?”
“Nothing..technically. I might’ve damaged your favorite jersey though.”
“The same jersey my dad bought me at my first ever NFL game?! Seriously Chris?!”
The joke was the last thing on your mind now as you quickly sat up.
“I’m sorry! I was separating the laundry and-and Dodge was there right? And I was kiddin’ around like ‘got a new treat for you’ since we have our little rivalry, but of course he didn’t do anything ‘cause he’s a good boy-,”
“Unlike his father,” you quip making him slightly hang his head.
“Okay I deserve that. So then the doorbell rang and he ran off but the jersey got caught on his nail and made a hole. I tried to sew it but then the thread got tangled and I promise I was gentle trying to untangle it, but when I got the thread apart it also made the hole bigger.” You can only shake your head as you move to stand up, but are instead kept in place with his hands still on your lower legs.
“I got you a new one though! But I guess ya probably already know that..,” he lowly adds with head down in shame for not telling you sooner.
“I didn’t until now.”
“W-what?”
“I didn’t know about the jersey until you just told me. Earlier, that was just a joke from a video Scott sent me,” you explain watching his skin transition from a light pink to faint red and mouth form into a small “o”.
“I just wanted to see how you’d react. I wasn’t expecting a confession.”
Head falling to your shoulder, a giggle slips past your lips at his mixture of a groan and chuckle. Only he would be the one to find himself in a situation like this.
“I’m so gonna kill Scott when I see him.”
“Might not want to say that too loud,” you reply holding up your still recording phone now focused on his face as his laughter grows.
“Well I guess that works in my favor too since you can’t say anything about hurting me now can you sweetheart?,” he grins pecking your lips.
“Mm debatable. I can always delete the evidence honey,” you wink before rejoining your lips with his.

An Ear Full
Tumblr media
Pairing: Mike WeissxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: His ex-wife’s tried. Paul’s tried. Pretty much everyone in Mike’s life has tried to set him straight. Maybe your approach won’t be futile like the rest.
⚠️: Language, mentions of Drug Use, brief mention of Nudity, Angsty times, Arguing, ends in Fluff tho (as always because I’m a soft heaux lol)!
You’ve always heard people complain about the annoying, constant beep of the heart monitor. How it makes those who need complete silence unable to sleep nor watch the small television in peace without having to turn it up nearly to max volume. Even then it wasn’t enough to drown out the monotonous tone.
It brought you comfort though. Comfort that he was still on this side hopefully feeling your presence as you sat across from his sleeping figure.
It’s funny. Even with you screaming at each other the day before, you were still there as if nothing happened.
You guessed you could chalk that up to love.
“Give me the bag,” he ordered exasperated and annoyed. Was it from his long disappeared high? The nude woman sprawled against his pillows and sheets? You simply arriving at the cluttered, disorganized house with his clothes in tow trying to get him ready for the hearing? It could’ve been all three, but you just standing there looking at him perched on the edge of his king bed wasn’t helping.
“Give me the fucking bag!,” he repeated raising his voice and making you jump from this unfamiliar tone. Sure you’d heard him like this with his ex wife, Jamie, or whoever was unlucky enough to have ticked him off that day, but he’d never directed his anger towards you.
And after you were done with him, he’d dare not do it again.
Setting his freshly washed and pressed outfit down on the one table Jamie left him, you retrieve the small, black bag containing his stash of favorites along with needles and other paraphernalia he’d need to get to the numbing bliss he loved. He watched you step closer, at what felt like an agonizing pace, holding out his hand to take it from you until your sharp turn to the bathroom and a zipper being unzipped cause him to hurriedly follow, moving faster than he did in a long while.
The sploosh and light thunk of all the bag’s contents hitting the shallow, toilet water and eventually bottom of the bowl has him yanking it from your hands before moving you out the way. “What are you doing?!”
“You want it? Then go get it! Dig in the toilet that hasn’t been cleaned in God knows how long and get your shit because I’m not giving it to you!”
“Y/N please, I don’t have time for your mouth right now.”
“Oh but you have time for random hookers who pretend to be your friend for the night? Or however long you pay them for? You have time for their mouths right?,” you snap.
Any other time, his glare would’ve had you intimated. Trying to avoid upsetting him any further and retreating to your corner like a scared kitten. Now you were standing inches from those pale blue eyes as if daring him to make his next move.
“Yeah. Especially when they don’t talk and let me have my way!”
“Right because that’s what you want. Little yes men that’ll keep enabling you instead of being around those who actually care for you and want to help!”
“Jeez can you both quiet down? I’m trying to sleep,” the previously naked stranger now standing a few feet away in Mike’s red button down states with a yawn.
“You, can leave!,” he shouts over his shoulder before his dark, sunken eyes re-connected with yours. “And why’s it a problem now? You’ve known me for a year yet you haven’t said anything before.”
He was right. You could’ve tried to say something earlier, but you were honestly afraid. You didn’t want to overstep and already knew he’d advise you to stay in your own business rather than poking in his. Now though, it’s like you felt this sense of obligation to at least say something even if he would just brush you off.
You knew exactly where it came from, but you couldn’t tell him. No, you shouldn’t tell him. Just like how you shouldn’t be having the feelings you currently were for him. You could already hear your parent’s and friends’ voices telling you to distance yourself before it’s too late.
“Aww looks like someone has a little crush on you Mike,” the woman mocks. Her condescending tone making frustrated tears prick the corners of your eyes. “Bet you wish you were the one sharing a bed with him hm?”
“Didn’t I tell you to go?!” His gaze stayed glued to you and how your fist nervously shook at your side. Whenever you felt overwhelmed or stressed, your fidgeting fingers lacing with each other was always a dead giveaway. There were plenty of times you two would be hard at work and he’d grab your hand holding it in his larger one until you finally let out that long harbored breath in your chest.
He was willing to bet what little he owned that you were actively fighting how desperately your fingers wanted to fidget, thus confirming whatever her name was’ statement.
“Y/N-,”
“I gotta go,” you interrupted trying to ignore the newfound softness in his features as you rushed pass and out the cramped bathroom. “Remember the hearing’s at four.”
That’s the last thing you said to him. Even when he arrived in court, you only acknowledged each other with a small nod and occasional quick glance. Early the next morning, you were abruptly awoken from your sleep at a panicked call from Paul explaining how he’d arrived at Mike’s to find him OD’d and was now at the hospital waiting to see if he’d make it.
You showed up shortly after not bothering to change out of your pajamas and hadn’t left his side since he was wheeled into his own room from being transferred out of the ICU. Paul wanted to stay, but you insisted he go back home to his family and get some rest. Plus his baby girl would be up soon, and you knew he wanted to be there to help.
So, here you sat in the leather recliner bundled in three blankets trying to keep yourself warm.
“Comfortable?” His gravelly voice hitting your ears has a sympathetic smile forming on your lips as you stand to be even closer to him.
“Nice pjs,” he weakly chuckles at your Mickey Mouse themed top and matching shorts.
“You know where you are? Or what happened?”
“Well from the annoying beeps and bright lights, I’m guessing the hospital,” he sighs. “And the last thing I remember is shooting up, so looks like I overdid it for me to end up here.”
Your disapproving glare at his easygoing attitude only makes him chuckle more. “What? I’m still alive relax.”
“Barely! You coded twice Mike! They thought you wouldn’t make it.”
“But I did so calm down!”
Silence falls over the two of you as you both just peer at each other apparently on track to continue your passionate conversation from before.
“I can’t do this anymore,” you finally speak barely above a whisper crossing your arms in front of your chest.
“Alright, no more arguing-,”
“No I mean working with you and Paul. I’m done.”
He winces slowly trying to sit up ignoring your cautions that he should stay put and rest.
“Look I’m sorry about yelling at you and what happened back at the house, but don’t quit okay? We need you. And Paul especially.”
“It’s not about you yelling,” you sniff wiping your eyes before your tears could fall past your lids. “I can’t just sit and watch you keep doing this to yourself.”
“Mr. Weiss! Good to see those eyes open,” Sherry, the middle-aged nurse, smiles entering the room. “And I’m sure your friend is excited too. She’s been here beside you all morning.”
“Yea. She probably doesn’t believe me but I’m happy to see her too,” he answers reaching up with a small grunt to wipe away a missed tear rolling down your cheek.
“Aw I’m sure she does. I don’t mean to interrupt, I’m just here to get your vitals and then I’ll be on my way.”
It takes mere seconds for her to write down his information from the monitor and draw a vile of blood before she’s removing her gloves and letting you both know the doctor would eventually be in to talk with Mike. As soon as the heavy door clicked shut, the silence presumed although now more awkward with your brains each not really knowing what to say next.
“…Maybe it’s time I give this up.”
“Mike seriously.” You’d need about two or three more hands to count how many times you’ve heard Mike swear how he’s gonna get help, especially after a near death experience or the lowest of lows once his high has completely diminished. Those who were used to his antics knew not to trust his words and definitely wouldn’t be holding their breath.
“I’m being serious. I think it’s time to put this behind me for good.”
Narrowed eyes pointed at him, you want to believe that he really wanted to be done, but slowly you were joining those who knew better when it came to Mike.
“…this better not be a joke. Or you just saying what you think I want to hear.”
“I swear on my dead alligator it’s not, and I’ll even make a deal with you. Of course you’ll take over for me while I’m gone, but if I don’t last three months then you replace me for good.”
“No, I couldn’t do that to you.”
“You wouldn’t be doing anything to me,” he yawns. Clearly whatever meds he was on must’ve been kicking in from his oncoming lethargy. “Plus it’s best for clients to have a sober lawyer, which definitely makes you a better fit than me.”
Cold hand brushing the few strands of hair from his sweaty forehead, you lean in to place a gentle kiss on his temple before raking your fingers through his strands nearly making him go back to sleep that second from the relaxing sensation.
“Don’t worry about any deals, you just focus on getting better,” you whisper watching him eventually drift back into sleep.
———
“This!,” the little boy giggled pointing to yet another one of Mike’s many tattoos. They’d probably gone over those littering his arms and chest twice already, but Mike didn’t mind. He’d go over them 20 times to keep seeing how his son’s eyes would light up as his tiny finger traced the ink along his skin.
“That one’s for tic tac toe,” he chuckles watching Grayson attempt to lift his arm permanently marked with perfectly circular dots above and below a red line. The five year old always got a kick out of that one, flashing his toothy grin as his eyes squeezed shut.
“Anddd this one dada!”
His smile grows softer gazing over his two newest additions lying just above and below the junction that was his inner elbow. The purposeful placement concealing the leftover scars that didn’t seem to want to disappear. Of course he’d always remember what was lying underneath, but the two pictures representing the people that stole his heart helped ground him to his formally unimaginable present.
“That’s a kiss from mommy and your footprint.”
“Nuh uh, too small,” he states trying to press his foot against the shaded image as proof making Mike laugh.
“It’s your baby footprint Gray. They take it the same day you’re born and put it on your birth certificate,” Mike explains as Grayson’s mouth forms a little “o”. “You remember what dada called these?”
“Favorite,” he shyly answers.
“That’s right! And they’re my favorite because you and mama are always with me wherever I go and remind me of the best days of my life.”
“What’s your best days?,” you ask stepping out of the bathroom having just completed your nightly routine. He never saw himself as the type of guy fawning over the most minuscule thing his significant other did, he surely didn’t with Jamie, yet here he was giddy at your radiant skin fragranced by the vanilla in your soap and the light hum that left your smiling lips as you comfortably slid into bed.
“Well besides the days I get to cuddle with both of you?,” he smiles kissing the top of Grayson’s head lying on his chest before kissing your temple. “It’s the day little man was born of course.”
“Rightfully so,” you giggle kissing the palm of your sons hand currently outstretched trying to hug you closer.
“And the day you set me straight.”

✨Pairing✨: mob!Ari LevinsonxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: It’s the night of the party, and you might be in for more than you thought with Mr. Levinson
⚠️:Brief language, pretty much all fluff💕!
“$500?!,” your best friend shouts through the phone startling you and apparently bothering someone else from the loud shush you hear in the background. “Um you don’t have to sit right next to me you know. Exactly walk away rude! Anyway, $500?”
You can only shake your head as you slide the few dresses hanging in your closet from one side to the other. “Well, really $495 and some change after the charge for his coffee but yea I tried to hand it back thinking it was a mistake, but he said no. And he um invited me to a party.”
You only hear silence making you pull the phone from your ear checking to see if the call had been disconnected.
“Hello? Tyla?”
“Sorry I’m here, just had to run somewhere more private,” she answers slightly out of breath, “but a $500 tip and a date?! Wait..oh shit are you a sugar baby?”
“No!”
“If you are I’m definitely not judging, you know that’s my dream.”
“No Tyla I’m not a sugar baby, and it’s not a date. He said I could bring a friend or friends. I’d like to think dates are a little more secluded.”
“They can be, unless it’s like those group hang outs where two people are hanging out more so with each other than with the group. But anyway, know what you’re gonna wear yet?”
Searching through the few dresses dangling in your closet, you felt yourself growing a bit more frustrated trying to determine which could be deemed acceptable enough to stand in a room filled with CEOs, millionaires, and trust fund kids who grew into somewhat financially stable adults.
So far, none fit the mold.
“No,” you sigh, “not yet.”
“Perfect! I’ll come get you when I get off in about an hour, and we can go shopping.”
Being an office assistant for a magazine company downtown, she knew where all the best boutiques were and who carried the most beautiful dresses and gowns having to go to at least one everyday retrieving someone’s order. However, being the best also tended to mean expensive.
“Okay, but you know I’m trying to save money-,”
“To buy the boys and girls club and stop it from closing, I know, but you don’t have to spend all your money. Put majority of it back and keep one or two hundred out. That’ll be enough for a dress and shoes trust me.”
She had a point. You could still add to your collection pot while treating yourself. Plus it was a necessity really, seeing that you didn’t even have a nice, simple black dress. Something every woman needed in her closet.
“Okay, I’ll be ready when-,”
“Ms. Ward!,” a voice booms on the other end followed by loud knocks. “I know you’re in there! You were supposed to be back 10 minutes ago!”
“I had a bathroom emergency!,” Tyla shouts back making you silently giggle to yourself afraid you’d somehow get your friend in more trouble. “Gotta go.”
———
“And you’re sure this is okay? I don’t want to look like-,”
“A hooker?,” Tyla finishes while reapplying her lipstick in the small compact mirror.
“I was gonna say escort but..”
Since leaving your apartment, you’d pulled the the black skirt of your dress down pretty much every other minute afraid that the soft, velvet material would eventually show the matching colored thong hidden underneath.
“Relax and stop tugging,” she scolded swatting your hand away, “The dress stops mid-thigh so it’d take a lot for you to flash someone. That is unless you want a certain, insanely rich someone to see what’s underneath.”
“No I don’t,” you laugh smacking her in the arm with the back of your hand as she rolled her cat like honey brown eyes.
Although, deep down you wouldn’t be completely against it. With his statuesque figure and muscles that you were surprised didn’t cause rips in his clothes whenever he walked or moved, you were ashamed to admit there were nights you wondered what it would be like to be held against his solid chest with those arms you were sure could easily be suffocating, yet also secure you physically and emotionally to a peaceful sleep. Or pin you down with just the right amount of pressure as he-
“Your stop ladies,” the Uber driver announces snapping you out of your daydream just as the car slowly stops in front of quite possibly the biggest mansion you’ve ever seen.
Given it was the first mansion you’ve actually seen in person.
Carefully exiting the backseat of the SUV, both sets of your heels clack against the sand colored cobblestone while taking in the grand home as if you were tourists gazing at the Eiffel tower. It reminded you of all those celebrity homes you’d see mentioned in magazines or those shows depicting how the rich and famous lived. You didn’t even have to touch the doorknob, being greeted by a middle aged man in a black and white tuxedo with white gloves. “Good evening. Everyone is either outside or walking about the lower level. I can take your purses if you’d like.”
“Thanks,” both of you mindlessly murmur handing over your small clutches while gazing at your surroundings. You felt like an ant with how much bigger the inside seemed due to the high, multi-layer ceiling. The polished white floors reflected the circular, built in lights shining above making the room appear even brighter and warmer. Through the walls of glass lining the back wall, you could see the small set of stairs leading to the manicured lawn where other partygoers mingled and laughed.
“I feel like God’s house in heaven would look just like this,” Tyla speaks making the butler silently chortle to himself. She’d been to a few mansions before being lucky enough to tag along to fancy soirées, albeit for work, but none compared to what she stood in now. “Y/N your boyfriend isn’t just rich. He’s that level of rich where they use old bills for napkins or toilet tissue.”
“Crazy enough, I prefer the usual paper. Cloth ones are nice too though, when the occasion calls for it.”
Black long sleeve shirt that perfectly framed his upper body and charcoal grey dress pants fitted just as well with a matching black boot, its like seeing him walk in the restaurant for the first time all those months ago. You feel your heartbeat quicken as he peers at you, blue eyes subtly taking you in from your pulled back curls down to your new black stilettos that wrapped up to just above your ankle. The metal band of his silver watch leaves a cool imprint on your lower back as his hand gently pulls you in for a welcoming hug. His cologne mixed with his soft beard catching your cheeks from the quick kisses has you transported to another world and head feeling fuzzy from what you could only describe as a high.
“You look breathtaking angel,” he whispers in your ear as he pulls away before directing his attention to an inwardly smirking Tyla realizing who this mystery man was. “Who’s your friend?”
“This is Tyla. Tye this is Ari, my um friend who invited us,” you explain as the two greet each other with an embrace and kisses to each other’s cheeks.
“Nice to meet you Ari. Your home is immaculate.”
“Oh this is actually my uncle’s house. I haven’t quite gotten to his level yet,” he humbly smiles using his free hand to brush his hair out of his face.
How could he make a simple movement something you’d want to watch over and over again?
“Ari,” a voice calls appearing from tall, brown double doors across the room. All black suit and a gold ring adorning the four fingers of his left hand, the bald man looked like someone you definitely wouldn’t want to piss off. And from the look on his clean shaven face, whatever needed to be discussed must’ve been important. Even Ari’s energy seemed to shift and body become more tense.
“If you’ll excuse me, I have to handle something really quick but please enjoy yourselves,” he smiles at Tyla before meeting your eyes, “I’ll find you later.”
“Oh, okay.”
Your best friend waits until he’s completely out of sight before playfully hitting your arm and squealing. “Y/N’s got a hot booyfrienddd!”
“Shh! Before you get us kicked out,” you giggle, walking with her towards the large sliding glass doors that led to those mingling in the lawn. “And he’s not my boyfriend.”
“Yet. He’s definitely into you though, and from that smile you’re into him too.”
It was probably your naïveté, but him liking you back never crossed your mind. Yes he was charming, but like most wealthy businessmen you encountered, you assumed that was just part of his personality. Being suave and saying the right things was a must in that profession, so once it was displayed on you, you didn’t want to think too much into it in fear of being foolish.
“And speaking of boyfriend’s, I see a potential suitor so I will talk to you later. That is unless Ari finds you first,” she winks before seductively swaying down the steps and right up to a slender man in a burgundy suit, who pulled a champagne glass from one of the passing waiters for her.
The dim lights mounted on different points of the house along with those set in the ground created a warm glow making those around look even more glamorous. It carried to the empty grassland behind the property highlighting the incoming fog as well as different markers lining just before the thick forest waving from the breeze.
Or were they targets?
Just as you stepped closer to the black, metal gate trying to get as close a look as you could, a deep voice startles you nearly making you drop your glass as you grab your chest.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” Black hair faded on the sides and back while the longer top was braided to his head in a V formation, his chocolate brown three-piece suit and white button down does nothing to hide his muscular figure. Although just as fit and tall as Ari, this stranger’s beard was thicker bringing attention to his fuller, moisturized lips and snow white smile. “Shiloh.”
“Y/N,” you reply shaking his outstretched hand.
“So tell me, what’s a beautiful woman like you doing off to herself?”
“Well I um don’t really know anyone here.”
“Plus she was waiting on me,” Ari interjects wrapping a secure arm around your waist. “This guy isn’t bothering you too much is he?”
“Bothering? She practically begged me to save her from her boring date,” Shiloh grins as Ari rolls his eyes before joining in. Of course two good looking men like them were friends, you shouldn’t be surprised.
“Congrats again man on the expansion. It’s been a long time coming.”
“Thank you. Between us, hopefully this is the first step in having offices around the country. Can’t have you being the only one building an empire.”
“Wait, you own the lounge downtown. Acuvus, right?,” you ask. Looking more at his face, you recognized him from the many magazine articles and interviews discussing his story and how he’d became so successful in seemingly a short amount of time.
Pretty much everyone knew about Acuvus and how only those with connections or who were part of the elite had access to the coveted reservation list. In your time waitressing, you overheard some customers talking about their night before at the multi-floor, rooftop lounge. How the drinks were some of the best in the city, maybe even the whole state, and the dance floor was never dead from the music that was played. If you could, it was surely one of those places you needed to experience at least once.
“Yep, and the lounge in Miami, Vegas, and eventually every major city in the US,” he smiles taking a sip of his beer. “You’ve been?”
“No I uh, don’t really get to go out because of work.” That and you’d probably never get on the list since you weren’t wealthy or had any connections of the sort.
“Well then, looks like now you have the perfect date idea,” he grins grabbing Ari’s shoulder giving it a gentle shake. You weren’t sure if Ari not correcting him was for your benefit of not being embarrassed, or if maybe he actually liked the idea. Either way, your gaze shifted towards the ground hoping he didn’t feel the nerves in the form of excess heat radiating off your body.
His hand gently squeezing your side as he lowly chuckles has you quickly pressing your lips together to block the gasp threatening to escape at the feel of his larger hand and thumb mindlessly grazing along the mesh of your dress.
“Thanks, but I already have an idea for that.”
This has your head lifting to unintentionally meet his eyes gazing at you the same way he did when you’d sit with him talking about how you spent the prior weekend. Or when you’d move about the restaurant like a passing wind setting people’s orders down in front of them and flashing your best smile being friendly to the new customer who just arrived. Of course you’d never notice it yourself, but you had this spirit that brought a type of bliss from your quirky ways and overall quiet, simple nature. And Ari couldn’t seem to get enough.
“Well then on that note, I’ll leave you kids to it,” Shiloh winks taking the last swig of his beer. “Lovely to meet you Y/N. Come by the lounge anytime you want or if you ever want to get away from this one.”
“Thank you, nice meeting you too,” you giggle.
“Mm very funny,” Ari quipped bumping fists with his friend before he disappeared further into the gathering of bodies. “So what was that face?”
“Face? I-I don’t-,”
“When I mentioned a date,” he smirks moving to lean on the gate that stood to his lower abdomen. “I’m a big boy so don’t feel like you have to spare my feelings.”
“No no it’s just…why?”
“…why not?,” he shrugs looking amused.
“I don’t come from all this like you, nor do I live the same lifestyle. I just figured you’d want someone equal, you know? Makes things easier I guess,” you shyly admit.
“You don’t know where I come from angel,” he states standing so close you can smell the beer on his lips and feel the air from his nostrils hit your cheeks. “And I’ve told you before, I like what I like.”
The sudden clinking of glass has everyone’s attention turning towards an older man standing in the center of the lawn holding up a half-filled champagne flute causing everyone around to do the same. Still somewhat in good shape for his age, a full mix of black and grey hair sat atop his head styled in short waves that seemed to be combed back either with the actual tool or maybe just his fingers. His dark green, knitted short sleeve partially showed a cross tattoo surrounded by roses and some small emblem on the underside of his bicep, while his other hand stayed in the pocket of his black slacks.
“As you all know, we’re here to celebrate the opening of our new downtown office. But, I also want to take this time to celebrate my nephew Ari, or as I’ve know him cucciolo,” he chuckles along with everyone around including Ari himself.
“Behind every major decision, his input was the driving factor, if not the final say, and we haven’t been steered wrong yet. You’ve been right beside me all these years and I can’t thank you enough nipote. I see you as the son I never had and I know we still have more to do. To the head of our new district office and to the continued success of I Cinque.”
“I Cinque,” everyone cheers taking a sip of their respective glasses.

Doesn’t Matter
Tumblr media
Pairing: senator!Chris EvansxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: Another year in office, another invitation to a party among his political counterparts. And another evening of dread for you
⚠️: A bit of sad times and feeling out of place, fluff other than that💕!
A/N: I’ve seen AU fics about senator Chris and I loved the idea so I decided to write my own addition that I hope you guys like☺️!
“Don’t you look beautiful,” your husband’s sultry voice states before you feel soft lips on your cheek and a low, content hum emanates from his chest taking in your floral perfume. “Then again, what else is new?”
Turning around to find him halfway through buttoning his recently ironed white shirt, you gently push his hands away continuing where he left off.
“Such the charmer you are.”
“Well I have been told it’s one of my best qualities,” he smirks with a wink. “Alright which tie? Printed or solid?”
“Hmm...solid.”
“And it won’t be too boring?,” he asks as you take the tie from his hand securing it around his neck.
“I hate to break it to you honey, but pretty much every man there will probably have on the same thing. You definitely won’t look boring though.”
“Looks like I’m not the only charmer here,” he peers down at you and your soft smile just as you finish your work on his tie. You’re slightly caught off guard when his large hands on your hips swiftly turn you to look in the floor length mirror attached to the wall, his head falling to rest in the crook of your neck. For a few moments, you both just stand there taking in your reflections. You feeling weak in the knees (as per usual) at his classic black suit. And him, loving the way the blush colored gown made you look ethereal from the silk like material that flowed down your body to the floor below. It’s off the shoulder peasant sleeves and sweetheart neckline giving perfect, unlimited access to your collarbones also a favorite feature.
Although a lovely moment, he can’t ignore your overall glum mood you’ve tried to hide behind smiles and small conversation since this morning. Your typical reaction the day of banquet’s like this.
“Hey, I know these things aren’t exciting, but we’re not gonna stay long,” he whispers slowly swaying you back and forth.
“Really?”
“Mhmm, especially with you looking like that,” you giggle feeling his lips peck your neck. “I’ll say quick hellos around the room just to show face, then we’re gone.”
“Stay as long as you need. I know there’s probably plenty of important conversations to be had,” you state with a sigh turning to face those addicting blue eyes.
You’d think outside the Capital, and appropriate stages, debates on bills would cease. This lesson you learned the hard way by your third banquet.
“Not more important than being home with you.”
Capturing your lips with his, you both wished your night only consisted of this and cuddles rather than being squished in a room full of those who seemed to only love the sound of their own voice.
“Excuse me,” a deep voice in all black interrupts from the bedroom door making the two of you quickly separate. “The car’s parked out front. Are you ready Senator?”
“Um yes, thank you Max.”
With a nod, he leaves both of you to make your final touches (including wiping the lipstick from your husband’s mouth) and collect your things before reluctantly sliding in the backseat of the black SUV.
Maybe if you were lucky enough, you could just hide in the car until everything was over.
———
Stood by the bar with drink in hand, you look out among the chattering crowd of suits and dresses donning a polite smile to those who were nice enough to say hello as they passed. You managed to find your husband in the same place you left him, still nodding in feigned interest at Senator Johnson’s “latest” fishing epic. How the man could keep adding new details to a five year old story making it even more dramatic than the last telling you’d never know. Among those with some years in office, it was viewed as an initiation of sorts the first time you were told about the three, now six, foot bass caught on his private pond. It was typically told within your first year in office and was followed by an invitation to join him someday.
Fair warning: your day would only consist of debates, more bragging of the fishes he’s caught since the age of three, and finally not catching anything before he’d shrug with a “Guess they’re not biting today.”
In perfect timing, a waiter passes offering another champagne flute filled with the gold, bubbly liquid distracting the elder senator long enough for Chris to meet your eyes and wink before subtly using his head to motion to the door on his left. You thought it was a side exit at first, until a server removing a broom and dust pan proved it was in fact just a closet.
Eyebrows slightly raised, you quickly mouth “no” giggling to yourself.
“Kidding,” he mouths back giving you another wink as he sips from his champagne right as his buddy returns to their conversation pulling another passing congressman in to join.
“The E5 is clearly the better choice here. It covers more ground for the education reform that citizens are desperately wanting,” a woman in her fitted, floor length red dress and black heels explains a barstool down from you.
“Are you kidding?! It has so many holes in it, the E5 needs reforming itself.”
“What holes?! It pretty much covers every request! Teachers being paid more, equal funding for all schools-,”
“And yet at who’s price? The same ‘citizens’ you claim to be meeting the demands of,” the bald, blue suited man retorts before turning to you. “Help me out here, the E5 is definitely not the clear cut reform it’s claiming to be right?”
This was another reason you didn’t like coming to these things. Being dragged into heated discussions about topics you weren’t that familiar with and most times, knew nothing at all about. That’s why you tried to stay close to Chris so he could take over the conversation, or make up some excuse why you had to leave and weren’t able to talk.
“Um I’m honestly not sure,” you nervously smile setting your drink down, “but I know A1 is great with steak.”
Clearly the two weren’t impressed with your joke only peering at you with fake smiles and cutting your little chuckles short.
“Get it? Because you said E5 and A1-,”
“I’m sorry, who are you?,” the man asks swiping a beer bottle from the plate that passed him.
“Y/N Evans.”
“Senator Evans’ wife. No wonder we don’t hear much of you at these parties.”
A dry laugh is forced through your windpipe even though all you wanted to do was find Chris and leave. But you couldn’t let her see how her words sparked that hidden insecurity within you and definitely wouldn’t give this unknown woman the satisfaction of knowing exactly how to get under your skin.
“Senator. Congresswoman,” Chris cheerfully interrupts wrapping a protective arm around your waist to bring you closer into his side. “I hope you don’t mind me pulling my wife away for a moment.”
“Of course not. I was actually just saying how we don’t see much of her at these events.”
“Well, she does own a successful business that has much more exciting ventures and interactions than boring events like this. Honestly if I could, I’d skip these and go with her,” he chuckles kissing your temple.
“Oh how nice! A little shocking though to find a Senator’s wife not as politically engaged as him.”
“She does enough. Plus I’m the one working in politics not her.” From the way his jaw clenched you could tell he was growing frustrated and annoyed the more she talked.
“True, but being such the promoter for civic engagement don’t you think-,”
“Listen as much as I’d love to go on and on about something that’s really none of your business, being the protective husband I am I want to get my beautiful wife home before it gets too late. Especially with people like your husband around who just can’t seem to keep his hands to himself,” Chris states with a sickeningly sweet smile as if he were simply talking to people walking up to him on the street. This has champagne bubbles stinging your nose from the snort that escaped you not prepared for him to state something only those who knew whispered about.
“You both have a good night.”
———
The ride home was filled with silence as her words made you retreat to that unwanted part of your mind where you questioned what was once assured. Chris tried talking with you, and regaining your focus with his sweet kisses to your cheeks and loving touches, but it’d only work for a few seconds before you were gone again. You trudged upstairs to the closet with your husband close behind starting to loosen his tie as soon as he entered the dimly lit home. He kept peeking over his shoulder from his respective side of the walk in at how you carefully removed your heels putting them back in their correct spot and hung your dress with the other elegant gowns hating how upset you were.
“Baby don’t let what she said get to you, alright? I’m sure it’s probably too late for that from how quiet you’ve been, but she’s just a pompous, miserable person who judges others to feel good about herself.”
“….d-do you wish I was more into this life?,” you quietly ask pulling one of his faded college shirts over your head.
“What? Like into politics?”
“Yeah. Like a Condoleezza Rice or Michelle Obama. A classy intellectual and less like basic me who doesn’t know what an E5 is.”
Gently taking your hands, he guides your arms around his tattooed middle resting your head between his pecs as a hand soothingly rubs up and down your back while the other securely holds you to him as if afraid you’d somehow fly away.
“You remember when we first moved in together? That terrible one bedroom that we both probably should’ve gotten tetanus shots from living in?”
“How could I forget? I still have that smell coming from the balcony closet in my nose,” your muffled answer in his bare chest making him chuckle.
“And what was the first house rule we made that night we moved in?”
“Not to go out on the balcony.”
“…okay the second rule that’s now our first rule,” he laughs kissing the top of your head.
“Don’t bring work home.”
“And we said that because when we walk through those doors, we just want to focus on each other. That’s why we don’t have a lot of talks about whatever new bill they’re discussing,” he states tilting your chin to meet his eyes. “Not that we don’t talk about politics at all though. You are intellectual and always voice your opinions so eloquently, I feel like you should be the one at the Capital.”
Your small smile has his heart warming, happy to see you returning to your usual cheery nature.
“So to answer your question, no I don’t wish you were more into ‘this life’, I think you’re in it enough. You know anytime you want to talk about something we can for as long as you want. Or if you don’t that’s fine with me too, I just want you to be happy.” His soft lips press against your forehead and nose before finally landing on your lips repeatedly until your infectious giggles filled his ears making his own come about.
“I want you to be happy too.”
“I am, sunshine.” His cute nickname for you never failed in brightening your mood. Even when you were upset with him, he knew that boyish smile paired with the second name easily had him near freedom.
Darn your weakness for nicknames and the man in front of you.
“I’ll be happier though,” he begins, squatting down with a short grunt to swing your legs over his forearm carrying you bridal style over the closet threshold, “when we can go to bed.”
“Aww did all the mingling and insulting husbands tire you out?,” you jokingly pout. The cold, granite countertop against the back of your legs and thinly covered bottom has you slightly shivering while Chris kindly grabs your makeup wipes and gently removes the eyeshadow and liner from your eyes.
“Yea I’m definitely gonna get dirty looks for that.”
“Well maybe if her husband wasn’t so grabby and she wasn’t so rude, she wouldn’t be in this situation.”
“That is very true,” he deeply laughs using another wipe to make sure majority of your face was clear of any product. “I’d do it again though if she thinks she can mess with my wife like that.”
The feel of your lips on his bearded cheek has a blush tinting his cheeks as he lifts you again carrying you towards the elegant king bed with matching white sheets and duvet.
“Thank you.”
“Anytime sunshine.”

✨Pairing✨: Johnny “Human Torch” StormxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: Johnny makes an already bad situation 10 times worse
⚠️: Angst, Mentions of drinking
“That’s it. The Thing!,” he smiled gesturing up towards the large screen in the arena displaying Ben’s face. “If you think that’s bad, you should’ve seen him before.”
“Jesus Johnny, you really gotta learn to shut up,” you speak to yourself hearing his voice drift from the living room flat screen to the hall closet containing the washer and dryer. You’d think after all this time he’d have learned the simple skill, but then again this was Johnny Storm you were talking about. Infamous hot-headed playboy who always gave the cameras and press a good show.
“So Johnny, all these lovely ladies, and those watching, are dying to know if one of New York’s finest is looking for a Mrs. Torch?,” the interviewer smirks throwing a wink to the camera.
The trio of groupies around him with their hands gripping and rubbing his biceps and back didn’t bother you. You were used to the gawking and glances any time you were out together. Even his hesitation and signature smoldering grin didn’t make you falter, knowing he was probably trying to find some witty remark to get around the question. This wasn’t the first time he’d been asked, and each time he’d skate by leaving the public still wondering. The aftermath of their rescue on the bridge trying to get to Ben quickly showed how famous they’d become, and how noticeably more private he was when it came to you and not wanting to subject you to jealous and judgmental eyes. At least that’s what he told you.
What upset you was watching him place his arms around two of the women before kissing the third on the cheek and simply replying with “next question.”
“Excuse me?,” you ask to no one but yourself being home alone with just your new puppy, Sparks. At your change in attitude, the spotted Dalmatian was standing at your foot with front paws pressed to your calf seemingly saying “don’t be upset mom,” with his deep, cocoa eyes and wagging tail.
“I’ll be back bubs. That is unless I get arrested for murder,” you sweetly scratch behind his ears before collecting your keys and purse.
———
Shoes tapping against the concrete, the remaining three members of the team arrived at just the right time seeing Johnny proudly saunter out the arena with the same three women stuck to his sides.
“There he is,” Sue pointed, frustrated as she made her way to her little brother ready to give him a piece of her mind.
You were a bit quicker though.
“Johnny!,” you sternly called getting his, and seemingly everyone else outside’s attention. Halting in place, his boyish smile never leaves his face as he excuses himself before stepping closer to you.
“So this is what we do now?!”
“Hey relax, it’s nothing,” he smoothly replies in a hushed tone. “Just…catering to the fans you know?”
“Pretty sure you can do that without kissing someone. Then to say next question?!”
“It didn’t mean anything! It was innocent and on the cheek. Like kissing your grandma.”
“You know that’s not the point.”
“Listen, we can do this later alright-,”
“Oh I’m sorry, am I interrupting your time with your friends?,” you sarcastically ask feigning regret with hand over you chest. “Please go ahead, and totally disregard your girlfriend.”
“Why are you doing this? I told you it’s nothing.”
“It’s not nothing to me though Johnny!”
“God, at least let me actually cheat on you first before you treat me like I did!,” he angrily counters further stilling the crowd around you. As soon as the weight of his words really hit him, he knew he’d messed up. Plus seeing your watering eyes before you looked down, unable to stand the sight of his face, only solidified that thought.
“That didn’t come out right, you know I didn’t mean-,”
“No, I don’t Johnny,” you state meeting his eyes once more just as the first tear fell. “Not anymore.”
He tried grabbing your hand, quickly wishing he could take his words back and turn back time to completely redo the conversation, but you pulling your arms inward to cross over your chest as you turned away told how he’d be better off leaving you alone when your mouth found it hard to.
“Nice going Johnny,” Sue chides brushing past to comfort you.
“I kinda feel bad for balling up his Porsche now,” Ben whispers to Reed, but apparently not quiet enough as the human flame immediately turned to look at the two with annoyance.
———
It had been a month now since that very publicized day, and Johnny couldn’t get the hurt on your face out of his mind. Even if he wanted to, with the pictures and video from that day plastered all over every news and magazine outlet he had no choice but to confront your doe eyes for about two weeks.
He tried calling, texting, even stopping by your apartment some days knocking and pleading for you to open the door. Each time he heard nothing, having to retreat to the Baxter Building with head hung low as he rode the private elevator to the top floor. Everyone around him of course noticed his more melancholy mood and tried to get his mind off things, but he wouldn’t entertain them for long as he mostly stayed quiet. On his off days, or after missions, he’d stay in his room watching some random show on tv, not really paying attention as his mind was stuck wondering what you were doing. If you were missing, or thinking, of him the way he did you.
His best friend from his time at NASA wouldn’t have this new, solemn Johnny though, persistent in his efforts to get him out the now stale smelling room.
“You can’t stay in there all day man, let’s go out and get some air,” Bradley stated through the phone.
“I’m just not up for it right now B,” Johnny sighs fixing his second bowl of cereal for the day.
“Why don’t we just go to a bar, get something to eat, maybe watch a game or two, then come home? Cmon J, I hate to see you like this.”
Going against his better judgment, he decided to take his friend’s offer seeing nothing wrong with a couple beers and good food in the midst of company he probably needed.
Only if the night went that way though.
One beer led to a shot from the bartender hearing how he was recently heartbroken, which turned into a mix of shots and beers from other patrons who heard of his pain or wanted to show their appreciation for one fourth of the Fantastic Four. Now here he was under his crumpled sheets with a throbbing head and genuinely confused how he got back. He didn’t have too much time to think at the soft knocks at the door that sounded anything but.
“Hang on!,” he speaks immediately regretting his raised tone as his palm went to his forehead applying the slightest bit of pressure trying to offset the new pounding. He doesn’t even bother trying to cover himself figuring that it was more than likely Reed or Sue at the door trying to get him to eat something with more sustenance than Cheerios. However, opening the door to see you in your light blue summer dress that clung to all your curves and gave a slight tease of your legs from the split that climbed to mid-thigh, he wished he’d look more presentable than being in his boxer briefs.
“Bab- I mean, uh h-hey,” he stammers feeling his own eyes light up and nerves take over at the sight of you after all this time.
“Hey. Sorry to show up unannounced like this,” you nervously state with hands fidgeting behind your back. The rest of the team told you how he’d been awful since that day, staying inside and barely talking to anyone which definitely wasn’t like the Johnny you knew. Now standing in front of him you could see it for yourself, instantly noticing the dark circles around his eyes along with the growing hair and five o’clock shadow along his jaws. Although a bit sadder, those ocean eyes still had a vice grip on you reluctantly making your heart swoon.
Also, the view of his naked torso toned like the rest of his body didn’t help with trying to dissuade the swooning.
“No it’s okay, I understand. I hurt you and you needed time.”
“I should’ve said that though. It would’ve been more mature than-,”
“Torch, I’m using your shower really quick before I go,” you both hear a dainty voice announce from the bathroom after the flush of the toilet. An awkward silence overtakes the both of you as your stomach churns at this new girl and Johnny finally remembers last night, but only in glimpses.
“Not now,” he mentally groaned leaning his head against the edge of the door kicking himself at his dumb decisions. He practically had you in his grasp, but now he’d probably be lucky to ever see you again.
“Y/N I know this looks bad-,”
“I have to go,” you quickly reply, hurriedly making your way down the hall before any tears could fall or the acid coming up your throat would overflow. A bit dizzy, Johnny kept up with you. Feet padding along until he could reach out to gently grab your arm and turn you around to face him.
“Just let me explain-,”
“There’s nothing to explain. You went out and obviously had fun. I mean we’re basically on a break so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised,” you sniff trying to hold back your tears until you could at least get to the elevator.
“That’s the thing, I didn’t mean to. I-I got drunk and don’t remember-,” he tries to explain but stops as soon as a small envelope is removed from your purse and placed in his hand. “What’s this?”
At your hesitation to answer him, he pulls the flap back removing a black and white picture of what looked like a pea in a bubble with a red arrow pointing towards the pea. He wasn’t quite sure what he was looking at, but the “four weeks” at the bottom has his heart rate beginning to increase.
“Congratulations, you’re gonna be a dad.”

Quit You
Tumblr media
Pairing: Andy BarberxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: Andy reminisces on your relationship
⚠️: bit of angst, mention of death, fluff💕!
A/N: Based on the song “Quit You” by Cashmere Cat ft. Ariana Grande (mostly just the chorus though). Also as a heads up, this is gonna be like my River series, so basically a collection of short stories that center around this one family and I hope you guys like it☺️! Sorry it’s so long😬 I didn’t mean for that to happen lol.
A grin graces Andy’s bearded face stopping at the sliding glass door to find you asleep on the wicker couch perfectly placed so you’d be in the breezy shade. When you first arrived at your small villa, you immediately beamed the moment you stepped outside on the patio telling him how you could stay out there all day and easily fall asleep from the crashing of waves and comfortable warmth surrounding you.
Sure enough this had been the second time, so far, he’d caught you curled on the grey cushions.
Bare feet padding against the textured, square tiles, he carefully sits beside you putting a pillow in his lap before returning your head to rest on him. Even in deep sleep, it’s automatic for you to shift closer to his cologne spritzed body as if your brain itself loved the scent.
This was honestly something he’d never think he’d experience at this stage of his life. Finding love again after losing his college sweetheart and pride and joy of a son. He felt guilty at the idea of inviting someone new to step across the threshold he once carried a giggling Laurie over. Being intimate in a bed that he only ever shared with her. Or even eventually bringing another child into the room previously littered with movie posters, video games, and books belonging to Jacob, the older brother they’d never have the chance to meet. Plus with the whole town knowing about his immense loss, or glaring at him with disdain still not completely sold that his son was innocent, along with the revelation of his father being the infamous Bloody Billy Barber, even if he was interested in dating his options were slim to none.
That is until he met you.
Squeaky shopping cart rolling down the cereal aisle, a pair of black and white striped gloves in the middle of the linoleum floor catch his eye.
“Um excuse me, did you drop these?”
Deep brown eyes finally meeting his after looking down at the winter accessory in his hands, Andy felt a warmth creep through his chest and small flutters overtake his stomach. Clearly you had to have been new to town or else he definitely would’ve remembered seeing such soft, glowing features before.
“Oh, thank you!,” you smiled, and surely Andy thought he had to be dreaming from the affect that one little movement had on him already. A light dew forming on his palms, he hadn’t felt these things since the first time he saw Laurie walking across the dated carpet of the Registrar’s office hoping to get help with registering for classes.
“I thought I told someone to hold onto them for me,” you jokingly scold narrowing your eyes at the four-year-old girl in the front of the cart. Her only response is a toothy grin as her purple, furry boots lightly kick back and forth. She obviously had to be yours from the uncanny resemblance, even down to the circular frames adorably sitting on your noses (hers a mix of purple and pink while yours a more mature brown).
“I’m sure she only turned away for a quick second. Right?” Her braided pigtails wildly bounce from the quick nod she gives agreeing with the man across from her.
“Hmm..I won’t fire her just yet then.”
Both of your light chuckles dying down, Andy wanted to hear more of your sugar like voice. Even be bold enough to ask to see you again sometime. His guilt paired with the lingering, nosey gaze of an elderly woman seemingly clamp his windpipe as his hands grip the handlebar of the cart ready to continue his shopping.
“Well uh you have a good night.”
“You too.”
“Bye! I’m Leia!,” the little girl smiles excitedly waving bye to the new stranger she’d just met. Unknowingly succeeding in making his heart expand twice it’s size.
People always spoke about how the universe works in mysterious ways, and even his own mother said it a few times throughout his childhood. Having never really seen said universe bring about a miracle or something extraordinary out of a bleak situation, he wasn’t quite convinced on the saying then. The written confession that saved his son from 20 plus years in prison briefly changed that perception before being brought back to square one learning how said confession came about.
So from then on he didn’t give the saying a second thought as he continued on with his life.
“Hey, you found my gloves.” The all too familiar voice brings an instant smile to his face turning to see you in your business casual attire. Plain, high waisted tan slacks paired with a simple white sweater and matching tan heels Andy just grew even more smitten over the unnamed beauty.
Maybe he should reach out to the universe more often if he could expect results like this.
“And you’re Leia’s mom,” he responded making you laugh to yourself.
“No matter how many times I tell her, she still forgets about not giving her name out to strangers.”
As if second nature, his tongue set to divulge how his son used to be the same with talking to strangers, and even going as far as tapping the people they passed in the grocery store to show the food item he was holding as if it was a trophy. Luckily the shout of your order being ready saved him a journey down that road; potentially bringing a somber mood to what seemed like a pleasant day for you.
“Um I know we don’t really know each other, but do you want to share a table?,” you nervously ask holding onto your bag. “If not or you weren’t planning to stay that’s totally fine-,”
“No, that’s perfectly fine,” he smiled before momentarily separating to retrieve his own bag containing his usual: turkey and cheese on wheat.
Both of you sitting across from each other in the recently cleaned booth, Andy couldn’t help but notice the way one of the sun’s rays decided to shine through the window perfectly settling around you. You were oblivious, currently removing your food from the brown paper bag before setting your phone to the side, but to Andy it was as if a bit of the air had been sucked out his lungs from the sight.
“Was this a sign?,” he thought snapping out of his trance at you holding your hand out towards him.
“I’m Y/N by the way.”
Joining his hand with yours, he didn’t know where this newfound fear of messing up something so easy came from, but as crazy as it sounded he kinda missed it.
“Andy.”
From then on you became “lunch buddies”, as you liked to call it, meeting every day, if you could, at the small diner to talk about your day so far. In addition to some of the interactions he’d have with his students, he’d tell you more about the town and things both you and Leia could do for fun. You didn’t really feel like you had much to share just being a receptionist and assistant at a nearby consulting office, but Andy saw different. Anything you had to say, whether it be an interesting call with a clearly confused client or your night watching Gully & Friends with Leia who just wouldn’t go to sleep, he clung to every word as if you were unearthing a new philosophical theory.
Each day you grew closer, sharing things about yourself and himself to you, until he built enough courage to ask if you would like to meet him outside the diner sometime. Your bright smile and “I’d love to” easily making him flustered, feeling like a teenager talking to his crush all over again.
The days leading up to your date was something like his first hearing in front of an actual judge and jury. Of course a bit nervous not wanting to mess anything up, but excited to get to see you for hopefully longer than just an hour. Grading the final few assignments remaining on his desk, your name flashing on his phone makes him smile hitting the green button.
“Hey you.”
“Hey Andy. Um there’s a bit of a problem about tonight,” you reply.
“What’s wrong?” He mentally panicked thinking you’d discovered that part of him he had yet to tell. You were probably calling to cancel and maybe even discuss not seeing each other again.
“Leia’s sitter cancelled, and since she had a family emergency she won’t be available all weekend. I’m sorry I know we’re supposed to meet in a few hours and I’ve been trying to find someone else-,”
“Hey it’s okay.” His heart regained its normal rhythm at the silent release of the breath he’d been holding preparing for your gentle let down. “What if the three of us do something tomorrow instead?”
“Really? You wouldn’t mind?”
“Of course not! It’s supposed to be warmer this weekend; we could go to the park and maybe have a picnic by the pond.”
“That sounds nice. She always talks about seeing the ducks, so I’m sure she’d love that.” Even hearing your smile over the phone had Andy’s cheeks red, thinking you were some type of wonderful that your voice alone had him weak.
“So it’s a date! Well, not really an official date but you know like a hang out sorta date as my students would say. That is if it’s something you’d want to do,” he nervously rambles making you softly giggle.
“It’s an official, unofficial date.”
The day was enjoyable on all ends, and still makes Andy smile when he thinks about it today. Leia was bashful, in typical preschooler fashion, when you first introduced her to the larger man until she remembered him from the store. She couldn’t seem to leave him alone then, having Andy roll the ball back and forth with her as well as pointing out all the ducks with him.
At times he fell silent needing to take a moment to himself with her toothy grin reminding him so much of Jacob at that age and the fact he’d never see his smile again, nor that of his children. Clearly you noticed his change of mood, but opted to save that conversation for later.
“I feel like I’m the third wheel here,” you joke tilting your head at a comfortable Leia sat right next to Andy. Head leaning into his side as she looked out towards the water crunching on her apple slices.
“Aw don’t be jealous. Next date I promise it’s all about you,” he chuckles.
“I’m holding you to that Andrew.”
Sure enough your next date he surprised you with a drive in movie, something you’d mentioned you’d love to go to in an earlier conversation about each other’s interests. It made you feel like the princess he so aimed to treat you like that he remembered something you only mentioned once and so long ago.
Dates thereafter alternated between being just the two of you and having Leia join, which made her excited every time you mentioned Mr. Andy coming along. Four months in and he was practically her best friend. Especially when he won her a stuffed purple unicorn at the carnival.
She’d talk with him about Gully & Friends and catch him up on the latest preschool drama, which always brought a grin to his face as he listened attentively. Times he’d visit your apartment for dinner, they’d sit and color at the coffee table in front of the couch while watching whatever animated movie she’d chose until you were done in the kitchen. A couple times you had to quickly wipe your tears as you watched from the kitchen, or wherever you stood, as they adorably talked to each other and Andy treating her as his own when he didn’t have to.
And to think his head nearly got in the way almost separating you for good.
He hasn’t quit kicking himself for that day at the park. Both of you sitting on the wooden table top looking out at the still pond with you bundled in his hooded jacket not expecting the breeze to be so chilly.
So far he’d ignored the passing glances as he’d walk with you hand in hand not caring about the whispers of those more than likely talking about him. When he heard your name being mentioned though, that’s when their words began to toy with him.
“You know it’s only been two years since that accident? Practically just buried poor Laurie and Jacob yet he’s moved on to someone new.”
“Girl like that immediately latching onto him, you know she’s probably only after one thing.”
“She’s only been in town a few months and he just so happens to be one of the first people she finds? Clearly something else is going on.”
“I wonder if she’s using that little girl of hers to make him feel sorry for her.”
He knew they were just gossiping and spreading lies, but it was because you were attached to him. If you hadn’t met him, your name wouldn’t be in the mouths of strangers insinuating cruel things about your intentions. He saw himself as the problem, which only meant one thing.
“Sweetheart I’m so sorry. You don’t know how hard this is for me,” he sniffed, anxiously bouncing his knee with hands wringing together. So far you’d been quiet as he explained that maybe you both should just be friends again. You simply looked at the side of his face while he told about his past and how he felt you deserved someone with much less baggage that wouldn’t have so much of an affect you or little Leia.
“Do you like me?,” you finally asked wiping the stream of tears from your cheek. Andy so desperately wanted to do it for you, but figured he’d already done enough.
“Of course I do,” he answered slightly confused at your question.
“Then why does it matter what other people think or say?”
“It doesn’t but I don’t want people mistreating you because of me.” A sigh leaves your lips cutting the momentary silence as your eyes drift to your hands being swallowed by his longer sleeves.
“I never told you this, but the real reason I moved is because of Leia’s dad,” you started, immediately meeting his concerned eyes. “Not like that. He’s a good guy he just doesn’t make the smartest decisions.”
“Back home, he worked as a bank teller but had these friends from high school that were always looking for a get rich quick scheme. So these friends somehow wormed their way into this infamous crew around town run by this mob boss masking as ‘just a guy trying to uplift the community’. Fast forward Leia’s father, Marc, gets mentioned to the boss and how he works at the bank, which gives him this grand idea to stage a robbery with his help. Apparently he told him if he’d simply look the other way, he’d make sure to take care of us so neither one of us would have to worry about another bill.”
Your cracking voice automatically has him wrapping an arm around you bringing your body into his warmth as he sweetly kisses your temple.
“He knew it was wrong, but we were struggling so he figured with the way the plan was set up it’d be a win for both sides. They were just trying to take the older bills that were being transferred anyway so he accepted,” you paused laughing your yourself. “
I should’ve known something was up with all the secret calls leading up to the day and him going out with the guys more than usual, but I just overlooked it being so caught up with Leia and my own work. Then the day of he comes home early a little jittery. I asked what was wrong and he just kept saying nothing and changing the subject, wondering about dinner and trying to play on the floor with Leia who was trying to sleep. Next thing I know, I’m getting notifications on my phone about a robbery and hostage situation so I turned on the news and I noticed it was his bank. I figured that’s why he was acting weird. The robbery started while he was there and he escaped or they let him go. Imagine the shock on my face when I’m pulled in for questioning about his, and my, possible involvement in not only the robbery but murder of another teller. That’s when he finally told me about the deal and told the cops how I didn’t know anything and it was all him. Then comes his trial and he gets 20 years, which seemed like a lot just for being an accessory but apparently the friends during their questioning pinned everything on him. And with the boss’ help, it painted the picture of him being a struggling parent driven to do anything for his family.”
“Including robbing a bank and shooting the co-worker who got in his way,” Andy finished to which you slowly nodded your head.
“The first couple months after were fine. I mean people looked at whispered but nothing I couldn’t handle. Some people got a little too comfortable with voicing their opinions assuming I had to have known, or coerced him to do it and easily got away with it. Even helping with pinning everything on him. His own family even started believing it, and threatened to take Leia away from me. So that paired with not being able to handle the words from random people coming up to me in stores and losing my job, I decided to leave,” you finish turning to meet his sea like eyes tinted red.
“Andy I’ve had people say any and everything about me already. It hurts, but I’m not afraid of it happening now. And I’m definitely not running from it anymore or letting it get in the way of my happiness.”
After hearing of your similar experiences he was sure you had to have been sent just for him. Maybe it was Laurie’s way of apologizing for taking their son with her and leaving him alone. Or it could’ve been Jacob wanting to see his dad happy. Either way, they both were giving their permission for him to continue on with his life and he’d dare not lose the best thing to happen to him since their departure.
Gently grasping your chin between his thumb and forefinger, his lips melding with yours is the best heater you could’ve asked for. Your hand creeps up feeling the soft hairs of his beard prickle your palm caressing his cheek as the other winds in his dark green shirt trying to keep him as close to you as possible. You weren’t sure if this was a kiss goodbye or something more, but you didn’t want it to stop, immediately finding his lips again when he’d slightly pull away to catch his breath only making him smile against your mouth with a low chuckle.
“I love you.”
“W-What?,” you ask leaning back to look in his eyes. He began to worry thinking your reaction might be because he’d said it at the wrong time or much too early making you uncomfortable.
“I…I said I love you Y/N.” At that bright smile he loved and you pecking his lips a few times more, he felt himself relax as your nails lightly scratched his beard making him sigh.
“I love you too Andy.”
Of course the whispers continued seeing the both of you around town or shopping with your daughter in tow. They definitely became louder after news of your small ceremony circulated through streets and across tables. Some even saying one or the other would come to regret your decision but you both knew that would never happen.
Feeling you stir in his lap, he sweeps some of your curls from your face as he’s met with your drowsy, angel like eyes and small smile.
“Sorry, I fell asleep again.”
“Don’t apologize, you’re on vacation and you deserve to relax.”
“Yea but I don’t want to leave you bored doing nothing,” you pout sitting up to straddle his lap, fingers dancing through the hairs at his nape.
“Sweetheart, since we’ve gotten here the last thing I’ve been is bored,” he smirks before leaning in to cover your lips with his. You two only stop at the loud rumble of your stomach making both of you laugh. “You want to order in or go somewhere?”
“Let’s go to that restaurant we passed by on our way to the beach. Then I can wear that new dress you got me,” you smile pecking his lips and giggling at the low groan vibrating his chest.
“We might need to stay in then. I don’t need another guy trying to steal you away.”
“Whatever. Like you haven’t noticed the ladies drooling over you and your half buttoned shirts showing these,” you counter tracing your finger tip down across the tattoos currently exposed to the salty evening air.
“I haven’t. I’m only focused on you,” he winks before pecking along your neck and collarbone.
“Mhmm sure.” Pulling him up to stand with you, you attempt to walk back inside the villa bringing him behind you, only to be turned to press against his broad chest. His eyes seem thoughtful with a mix of adoration as his thumbs graze your cheeks and fingers rest on the sides of your neck.
“Any regrets?,” he asks as part of your little inside joke with each other. You knew how Andy’s mind could get though. Behind his small chuckle, he actually hoped you were still happy and as much in love with him as he was with you.
“Not one. Do you have any regrets?”
“No, and never will,” he smiles needing to feel your plump lips once more.

Prove It (2)
Tumblr media
✨Pairing✨: Johnny “Human Torch” StormxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: Johnny wants to prove how he can be the man you need him to be
⚠️: very brief insinuations of abortion/adoption, pregnancy symptoms (dizziness, feeling faint, headache), little bit of angst, fluff mixed in tho
“Y/N wait,” Johnny finally speaks grabbing your arm before you could take another step towards the elevator. “You’re just gonna drop something heavy like this then leave?”
On the way up, you rehearsed your plan over and over in your head. You’d sit him down, talk for a bit, then show him the ultrasound once things seemed relaxed enough between you two. Hearing that other girl’s voice though, the plan you spent days ruminating over was long forgotten instead replaced by the overwhelming urge to run away.
“I-,” you sigh meeting his eyes before meeting those of the looming figure in the background with heels in her hand. “Your guest is waiting for you.”
Looking over his shoulder, he curses under his breath trying to figure out how to handle this sticky predicament. “You go to the couch okay? I’ll come get you when I’m done.”
With a small nod, your sandals flap against the tile floor as you enter the futuristic room brightly illuminated from the afternoon sun shining through its many windows. You’d turn on the tv if you could to pass the time, but the usual remote that sat on the coffee table had been replaced by some complicated looking tablet that seemed to control more than the tv. So until Johnny was done, you’d just sit in silence with your thoughts fiddling with the star charm on your necklace as you gazed out to the slow passing clouds.
In hindsight, it probably wasn’t the best idea since all your thoughts now centered on him and this mystery woman.
“Hey kid!,” Ben’s deep voice booms as his heavy footsteps approach the living room making the walls vibrate. “What brings you here? Please tell me you’re taking flame boy back with you. He eats all the food and just lies around like an old rug stinking up the place.”
“Glad to hear how you really feel about me pebbles,” Johnny sarcastically smiles from the doorway now in a red shirt and jeans. “Now if you don’t mind me and Y/N need to talk.”
“I’ll talk to you later Ben. Promise.” Connecting your elbows as part of your little handshake, you leave him carefully tapping the tablet successfully cutting on the tv before turning to whatever peaked his interest.
“Make yourself at home,” Johnny states holding open the door to his recently cleaned room. The stale smell now replaced by the fresh air seeping through the cracked sliding glass door paired with citrus scented Lysol. His sheets were changed to a light grey set and perfectly made on the bed, while the clothes that typically littered the floor were all in the hamper waiting to be washed.
“How do you feel? Need anything? Water? Food?”
“I’m uh fine right now, thanks,” you shyly answer sat at the foot of the bed. It was like it was the first time being alone with the opposite sex for either of you. The awkward silence. Johnny sitting an arms length away bouncing his knee as you gazed down at your hands in your lap.
He debated with himself the best way to ask the main question he needed to know. Should he just bluntly come out with it? Work his way to it, by talking about something else? Maybe he shouldn’t ask at all and wait until you told your final decision.
“I uh guess you’re wondering what I’m gonna do,” you softly speak making Johnny relieved he didn’t have to initiate the tough conversation.
“Have you decided yet?”
“…ideally this isn’t when I expected to have a kid..a-and honestly, I don’t know if I’m ready.” He nods, inching closer to soothingly rub your back once hearing your sniffles and watching you wipe the fallen tears from your cheeks.
“But I’m already in love with him or her. It’s like the connection’s been set and I want to do everything I can to protect them,” you explain briefly meeting his soft smile before looking back down at your lap with a small chuckle. “I know I probably sound crazy.”
“No, not at all.” In fact he felt the same.
Now was definitely not the time he planned on having kids, if he ultimately decided to have any at all, and he knew his wasn’t the first name to come to mind when thinking of a father figure. Internally he’d been a nervous wreck since you showed him the ultrasound, but he’d also be lying if he didn’t say there was a bit of joy and excitement at the idea of a mini combination of the both of you running around. Hopefully with your eyes and cute nose that tended to scrunch when you were trying to concentrate.
“H-how do you feel though? About everything.”
“Y/N whatever you decide, I’ll support you. You’re the one who chooses in the end what you want to do with your body.”
“I appreciate that, but I still want to know what you want.”
“For what? If I say yes let’s do it, but you say no what’s the point?”
“The point is that we have options Johnny, and I want to know what you’re thinking to not only help with the final decision, but so you’ll have an input versus all this being on me!,” you answer turning towards him. A fresh set of tears trickling down your cheeks. “Yes it’s ultimately my choice, that’s all I’ve been hearing since my appointment, but I didn’t do this by myself and I really don’t want to make this decision by myself.”
He sighs, running a hand over the soft pricks of his buzzcut hair as he stands and begins to pace the length of the sliding glass door needing to move in some way as he thinks.
“Y/N I think we both know I’m definitely not ready for a kid. Anyone could look at me and tell that,” he states. “I’m not always the best boyfriend, brother, or friend and at this rate probably won’t be the best father either.” Thinking of his own makes him feel slightly ashamed knowing he’d have some choice words for how he’d behaved over the past years. But he also knew his dad would say it wasn’t too late to try to do what’s right, and how he still had time to be the man he desired to be.
The man you and his unborn child deserved.
Standing in front of you, he squats down holding your hands in his already feeling the weight of his next few words in the pit of his gut. “But I want to do this with you.”
“R-Really?,” you ask, a look of relief gracing your pretty features before it’s replaced by concern. “You’re not just saying what you think I want to hear are you? If you don’t-,”
“I mean it when I say I want to Y/N. I know it’s gonna be difficult and I have a lot to learn, but like I said I want to do this with you. And be there for the both of you.” His hands release yours timidly grasping the area right above your hips to graze his thumbs along the cotton material covering your abdomen that currently housed his son or daughter. The intimate moment and small acknowledgment making soft smiles form on both of your faces.
“We’re actually doing this. We’re gonna be parents.”
“Looks like,” he chuckles. “So…what’s next?”
———
From that day, Johnny kept to his word being there for you when he could. During the week or if he was away, he’d text or call asking how you were feeling or if you needed anything. The weekends he’d come stay with you, sometimes giving you a forewarning of his arrival, but mostly just showing up at your door like now. Flashing that tilted smile that always did something to you while holding a bag containing your favorite takeout.
“What if I wasn’t home or had someone else here?,” you ask leaning against the doorframe with arms crossed over your chest.
“Then I’d use the spare,” he answers as if it were the only obvious solution. “…And is there someone else here?”
The flash of worry along his brows and glacier like eyes has your heart aching hating you even mentioned such a thing. “No, it’s just me and Sparks. I was just saying though-,”
“I know, I should try to call beforehand. Sorry.”
Truthfully, being so excited to see you he was like a kid so hungry and ready to eat that he neglected his basic table manners. He wanted to spend as much time with you as possible, and although probably ridiculous, he didn’t want to miss anything. Like the day your belly began to expand.
“Since you brought food I’ll look past it,” you smirk taking the plastic bag from his hand as he kisses your cheek, gently moving past you to enter your living room. Perched on the arm of the couch, Sparks frantically barks and wags his tail happy to see his best friend again who usually brought something for him too.
“Hey bubbas! Who’s a good boy?,” he smiles scratching behind the dog’s ears and making him more hyper. “I got something for you.”
“Johnny…,”
“I’m not giving him a lot.” Pulling the bag of treats from his pocket, he orders Sparks to sit before feeding him two small pellets and rubbing from the top of his head to his spotted back continuing his praise on how good of a boy he was. “Just a couple now, then a couple later.”
“If he gets a tummy ache it’s your fault.”
“Yea yea, I’ll take care of him,” he chuckles resting his arms on the wooden bar, watching you take the vegetables and noodles from the styrofoam box to two separate bowls. “So..how do you feel?”
“Fine for the most part. Now, I just feel hot though.”
“Sorry,” Johnny smugly grins accepting the bowl from your outstretched hand.
“Deflate your head Torch, this has been happening off and on for a few days.”
“Why didn’t you say something before?”
“Because I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. I looked it up and increased temperature is a common pregnancy symptom.” Taking a step towards the fridge, your head begins to feel as if it’s spinning causing you to grab hold to the counter trying to steady yourself. Although a subtle movement, he noticed your stumble and the way your hand desperately gripped the edge as if you were afraid to let go.
“Y/N what’s wrong?”
“I..I’m just a little dizzy. I probably moved too fast or something.”
The spinning sensation only worsened though, and at your whimper as your fingertips met your temple Johnny rushed to your side just in time before you fell limp in his arms.

Practice Makes Perfect
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ari LevinsonxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: Part of your nightly routine includes your husband being your mannequin
⚠️: None, all fluff💕!
“Gentle now honey,” the burly man sitting below you chuckles.
“Sorry. I’m just trying to remember how to do it.”
As of the past week and a half, this is how your nights went. You sitting on the couch with your husband planted on the floor between your legs letting your fingers work through his cocoa colored strands trying out whatever new simple braid style your co worker showed you earlier in the day. You would practice on Mya if you could, but with her being at her mother’s until the end of the month you were left to use his soft locs if you wanted to learn all of them before your daughter’s arrival in the world.
Given you had about four months until that exciting day, but you wanted to be a professional by then.
Ari didn’t mind though, always eager to help you in any way he could. Plus he loved when you slowly dragged your fingers through his hair, occasionally applying a bit more pressure to his scalp giving the best head massage he could ever ask for. His only request, of course, was that you not pull too hard.
That is unless you wanted to start something, which is how you ended up with your little one kicking you from the inside now.
Hearing your frustrated huff, his calloused hands bring your freshly washed and moisturized legs to dangle over his shoulders pressing a delicate kiss to the side of your knee. “Relax, you’ll get it.”
“She made it look so easy though. Yet when I try, it’s like my fingers get tangled together.”
Maybe it was the hormones or just you already being an overly emotional person, but your frustrations got the best of you bringing tears to your eyes at the thought of you never being able to do it. You just wanted to be the mom that your own was to you. Seemingly able to do every style that you wanted with ease and a smile on her face.
Thinking back, she was like that with everything she did for you. Even all those times you told her last minute how you needed something for school, she’d quickly rush to get it for you. She’d also scold you about waiting until the last minute, but still, she made it happen.
Maybe deep down that’s really what worries you. If you’ll be that perfect mom your child deserves.
“Hey, it’s alright,” Ari coos now on his knees facing you as his thumbs glide across your cheeks getting rid of your recently dropped tears. “It’s just a braid.”
“What if I’m not a good mom? What if this braid is just one in a long list of things I mess up?”
“Well honestly honey, that’s part of being a parent. You’re not gonna always get things right the first time and that’s okay. It’s like me with Mya, every day since she was born I’ve felt like I’m figuring it out as I go along.”
This makes a soft snort ripple through you at the memory of him letting her use the tub as a pool the last time she was here since a thunderstorm ruined her desired plans for the day. Although the two ice cream cones might not have been the best idea, the way she knocked out that night not waking up until late the next morning and allowing you and Ari to sleep in for once made all those puddles of water along the tile floor worth it.
“I guarantee there’s not one parent out there that has it all figured out from day one. What’s most important though is that you love and care for them, which I know you’ll do. You’re already doing amazing now,” he smiles rubbing along your growing bump.
“You think so?,” you quietly ask. Your too cute for words smile tugging at his heart as per usual.
“I know so.” Hand moving to the back of your neck, his lips on yours make your worries subside for the moment, now only feeling his love as you let his words warm you from the inside out.
Your daughter, on the other hand, apparently wasn’t a fan of all the mushy sentiments from her foot jabbing right under your rib, making you “ow” against his lips.
“What? You okay?”
“Yea. I don’t think little miss likes us kissing in front of her though,” you laugh. Another jab in the same spot seems to confirm this thought.
“Oh really? Well I’m sorry, but you’re gonna have to get used to it peanut,” he states sinking to eye level with your belly before leaving a kiss on each spot he can.

The Whole Time?!
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jake JensenxBlack Reader
⚠️: Maybe a tiny bit of technical angst (🤷🏽‍♀️ lol), fluff💕
“P-Pooch?,” you stammer unable to fathom that your supposedly dead brother was standing in front of you and his wife who was about to give birth to their son in any minute.
“Hey peanut,” he smiles stepping further in the hospital room. “I’d hug you, but I’m w-,”
You didn’t even let him finish before immediately wrapping your arms around his neck and burying your face in his shoulder. Good thing he was already wet from the rain, your tears would just be a welcomed addition.
“Wait. D-Does that mean-”
“Hey babe,” the all too familiar voice speaks making more silent tears fall as you lift your head. Just as soaked as Pooch, he nervously smiles removing his hat to reveal his spiked frosted tips. He pretty much looked the same as you last saw him. Toned arms and chest shielded by his dripping jacket along with your personal favorite, his black circular frames bringing even more attention to those crystal baby blues.
There were plenty of times you thought about what you’d do if granted this moment. Cry, scream, maybe jump into his arms clinging onto him like a koala on a tree. Possibly all three even. Now, finally being granted your wish after all these months, there was one main thing on your mind.
“Wow,” he smiles as you slowly move closer to each other. “I didn’t think it was possible, but somehow you’ve gotten more beautiful.” Just as the words left his mouth, the back of your hand connecting with his abdomen in the hardest hit you could muster nearly knocks the wind out of him as he keeled forward.
“And apparently stronger too..,” he coughs.
“How could you?!”
“I didn’t do it on purpose! We had to so we could go after the guy who set us up. And why didn’t you hit Pooch?! He was in it too.”
“He’s got one coming after my nephew safely enters the world, right now though it’s your turn,” you glare before smacking him again.
“Told you she had a strong backhand,” Pooch states quickly closing the room door before his sister decided to direct her rage at him.
The rest of the team merely watch in entertainment as your hits move to his shoulders and biceps until Jensen can grab your wrists pinning them by your sides.
“I’m sorry for putting you through all that, but it’s not like I completely left! I could still see you.”
You tilt your head in confusion ready to ask what he was talking about, until seeing Clay nervously scratch the back of his neck as he and Cougar shift their gaze clues you in on what he meant.
“SERIOUSLY JAKE?!”
“Wha-? I-,”
“Did you really think that would make me feel better?!”
“...Honestly at this point I’m afraid to answer.”
Annoyed groan falling from your lips, you tried to escape his grasp, but his larger hands slightly tightening their grip on yours, along with him following your every movement, keep you in place. “When we go home I can explain everything.”
“Will you? Or are you just gonna lie some more?”
“I promise I’ll tell everything,” he whispers, leaving a chaste kiss on your temple before flashing one of his ‘please don’t stay mad at me forever because I love you’ smiles. So far, it’d gotten him out of any argument you had. Including this one.
Darn those good looks of his.
“Fine,” you reply as you cross your arms, leaving him to find a seat in the nearby waiting room.
“Any tips here Colonel?,” Jake sighs.
“I’m probably not the one you’d want relationship advice from.”
Another heavy sigh leaves his lips as he follows your path down the hall to sit next to you. That is if you’d let him.
“Okay, is anybody else stuck on the fact that Jensen actually has a girlfriend?,” Aisha states breaking the momentary silence and making both men chuckle.
———
It’s the happiest he’s ever been to walk into his small, outdated apartment. Things weren’t exactly the same as he left it with your few new decorations and pieces of furniture trying to make the place a bit of your own, but of course he didn’t mind. It actually warmed his heart that although he was “gone” you still chose to stay, sticking by his side when you easily could’ve moved on with your life.
“Jeez, the faucet always drip that loud?,” he lightly chuckles shedding his coat and placing it on the small hanger by the door.
“It started a bit after you left,” you sigh kicking off your shoes. “Think it’s loud now, it’s even louder when you’re just sitting here alone.”
Following you to the bedroom feeling like a dog with its tail between his legs, he sits at the foot of the bed looking down at his hands as you move about the bathroom getting yourself ready for bed. Your words were like the sharpest sting as his mind vividly showed an image of you just sitting in this apartment with nothing but thoughts of loosing your brother and boyfriend along with the hum of the AC. He knew for the sake of their mission, and the team, he couldn’t say anything, but it still didn’t take away his guilt of what you went through mentally and emotionally.
“I tried to write you.”
“What, your computer go down and you couldn’t watch me anymore?,” you counter over your shoulder before rinsing the soap from your face.
“That was only once okay? I was watching my niece’s soccer game and then I thought about what you were doing and kinda sorta hacked your office’s cameras, which yes I know was wrong. Speaking of, they really should update their software, a fifth grader could easily hack into it just guessing the password,” he answers making you roll your eyes with a chuckle.
“And who’s Tom?”
“Tom?”
“Yea. Curly brown haired guy, cubicle across from yours. Big head you can see a mile away.”
“I’m sorry are you somehow trying to turn things on me when you’re the one that’s supposed to be explaining why I’ve thought you were dead this whole time?,” you ask wiping the remaining moisturizer from your hands before crossing them in front of your chest as you step closer to the now nervous looking man.
“N-no, of course not! But I mean since he’s been mentioned...”
“He’s just this guy at work that apparently likes me and asked me out but I said no, because a small part of me kept hoping that you’d miraculously come back. Happy?”
“I-uh...y-yes?”
Sighing, you sit beside him tucking your bare legs under you and taking his hand in yours to trace the lines on his palm. You never knew how or why you started, but it was something you occasionally did while you two were talking or just lying next to him enjoying each other’s company. It brought a smile and giddy feeling to Jensen, just as it did to you.
“Listen, I’m sorry I’m giving you a hard time, I know you didn’t have a choice, and understand. Selfishly though, I just missed you so much and wish I could’ve known. It definitely would’ve saved some sleepless nights and tears.”
With his other hand, his thumb and index finger gently grab your chin guiding you to meet his eyes. “I’m sorry for everything I put you through having you think I was dead. The second we threw our tags in that fire you and my family were all I could think about. Like I said I wanted to write and give you some sign that I wasn’t gone, but I could never figure out how to start. Plus Clay threatened to cut off little Jensen if I did send anything back home once he found out, which only made it tougher.”
“Yea we wouldn’t want that,” you softly laugh following a short sniffle you were trying to hold back. You really were done with crying, having done so since you got that devastating call so long ago, and just wished your tear ducts would shrivel up already. “Sorry, I thought I was done with the tears.”
“Shh, don’t be.” Leaning forward, his soft as clouds lips meet the single salty droplet in the middle of you cheek erasing its presence before moving to yours in quite possibly the most delicate, tender kiss you’ve ever experienced. Any other time, you’d probably call it painfully slow, trying to take the lead to move things along. But as you both sat there taking everything in from each other’s scents to the feel of how one’s lips and mouth felt on the other, you couldn’t feel more connected.
Just barely pulling away, his swollen lips rest centimeters above yours ready to take them again as soon as he caught his breath.
“I don’t know if I should be embarrassed at myself or amazed at whatever powers you have,” he starts, a light chuckle escaping him. “But I think you just made me-,”
“Jensen!,” you laugh, playfully smacking his shoulder. “Way to ruin a romantic mood.”
“If it’s romance you want, say no more,” he smiles taking your hand in his and placing it on his chest as he clears his throat. To the best of his ability, he begins singing the opening lines to your couple’s song, as Jake proclaimed it, instantly making you fall back on the bed in laughter.
“You actin' kinda shady, ain't callin' me baby, why the sudden change. Say my name, say my name!”
“This is definitely not a couple’s song,” you laugh feeling his forearms rest on either side of your head and chest vibrate from his laughing.
“I’ll admit lyrically wise..yes, you’re right. But it’s still ours which makes it special.”
You’d never forget that day in the grocery store trying to find a pint of your favorite ice cream as the song played overhead. Without really looking, you thought you were on the freezing aisle by yourself and began singing along as you gently bobbed your head. Suddenly hearing a voice singing the background vocals made you slightly jump turning to see the taller man in a grey sweatshirt, blue and white basketball shorts, and sneakers holding up his hands.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. I-It’s Destiny’s Child, I couldn’t resist.”
“It’s okay, and I mean who can?,” you respond, both softly laughing before shyly looking back at your respective sections to get your frozen desserts.
“Soo...you like ice cream?,” he asks interrupting the momentary silence.
“Yea, um my favorite’s moose tracks,” you answer briefly holding up your pint with a smile.
“You know who has a good moose tracks? Bennie & Bailey’s downtown. They make it from scratch and I don’t know what all they put in it, but it’s amazing.”
“Oh, okay thanks. I don’t think I’ve ever been there.”
“Well you should definitely go one day. I mean if you want,” he nervously chuckles.
“Will do,” you smile. “Only if you’ll take me though?”
At first, being met with his shocked, speechless expression made your newfound confidence falter thinking you might’ve been too bold with the cute stranger, whom you hadn’t even asked if he was single or not. However seeing his eyes shine bright and adorable smile grace his pink lips, your excitement returned as he moved closer handing you his phone.
Years later, the rest is history as you lie in bed with the man you were sure was the love of your life.
“Hey what’s going on in there?,” he asks brushing his fingertips across your forehead noticing you become quiet. Lightly scratching his goatee, you feel your eyes start to water again causing you to blink a few times trying to keep them at bay.
“I just don’t want you to leave again,” you whisper, moving your fingers to card through his chestnut and blonde mixed strands.
“I’m not going anywhere unless you ask me too.”

New Roommate
Tumblr media
Pairing: Paul DiskantxBlack Reader
⚠️: Fluff, slight mentions of seggsy time
“We’re gonna have so much fun bubbas. We’re gonna go to the park, on hikes-oh! And the beach! I already know you’re gonna love it,” you beam rubbing noses with the two-month, blue nose pitbull who was trying to lick your face. “First though, I gotta get your dad on board.”
It’s not that your boyfriend didn’t want or like dogs. He always said how he’d love to have one someday when he was settled somewhere.
However that “somewhere” to Paul was a house with plenty yard space, an adequate amount of privacy, and maybe located in the suburbs. Not your recently renovated, two bedroom apartment you both just happened to move into about a month ago.
You made an agreement that you wouldn’t get any pets (well besides a fish, and a small one at that) to not risk messing anything up and having some sort of consequence, which would more than likely be in monetary form. Entranced by the short haired, too adorable for words pup though, you honestly could care less about the consequences.
Plus you just knew your little buddy wouldn’t cause any trouble. You could see that in his round, soft grey eyes.
“So, you’re gonna stay with your auntie Raye until I can work my charm on him okay?” The pup only tilts his head before letting out a small bark and making you pout as you hug him close. “I know but it’s only temporary. A night at most.”
Paul typically didn’t get home until later in the evening now that he was on a new case, so you had plenty of time to clean up any traces of dog left behind after Raye would leave and start cooking his favorite meal. As an added bonus, you also thought about your short, lilac, ruched number with spaghetti straps that always made his eyes light up when you wore it. He claimed it perfectly complimented your skin and made you look even more angelic as his hands always seemed to find your sides, the small of your back, or lower if you were right beside him (which of course you typically were).
However, hearing the familiar thud of boots journeying down the hall and rattling of keys, something told you that plan might not work now.
You quickly stand up, taking the probably confused puppy with you to the bathroom where you sit him in the empty tub, along with his new bone shaped chew toy, kneeling with a finger over your lips.
“Stay here and be really quiet okay?,” you whisper just as you hear the front door unlock. Quietly rushing to close the room door behind you, you muster your best ‘I wasn’t doing anything’ smile while you approached the tired looking man.
“Hey beautiful,” he greets, sweetly pecking your lips.
“Hey, you’re home early today.”
“Yea, we had a break in the case and went undercover to get the suspect which led to a chase, then a fight, and me having bruises forming as we speak.”
Dropping his bag by the dinner table, a sigh followed by a short wince leaves his mouth as he sinks into the leather couch cushions letting his head fall back and eyes close.
“Alright plan B it is,” you think to yourself moving behind him to gently massage his shoulders, occasionally letting your hands journey forward along his pecs giving them attention as well. Hearing a soft moan at his approaching relaxed state urges you to continue, knowing you’d soon have him exactly where you wanted.
“Aww I’m sorry babe. Where does it hurt?”
“My sides mostly, but my back a bit too.”
He helps you remove his fitted black shirt, a favorite of yours, letting out a short hiss from having to extend his sore muscles. Guiding him to lie down and placing one of the small throw pillows under his head, you straddle his lap letting your fingers drag along the red and light blue marks littering his sides.
“It doesn’t hurt when you breathe does it?”
“No.”
“What about this?,” you ask pressing down to feel him flinch under you.
“Ow! Babe-,”
“Sorry! Sorry just checking.” Watching him settle back into his comfortable position with arm draped over his forehead, you slowly bend forward, lips inches from his bruise looking up at your boyfriend through your lashes. “And this?”
You feel his low chuckle vibrate his muscular upper body as your gentle, open mouthed kisses scatter from each injury to eventually find the spot just below his ear.
“I feel better already,” he smiles tilting your chin so your soft lips could meld with his. Kiss growing deeper with each passing second.
“Hooked like a fish,” you thought, lips never ceasing while being brought closer to his body as he sat up with hands squeezing your hips.
“Baby wait,” he states slightly leaning his head back and making you pout. “Let me go shower first. I’m sweaty and probably stink-,”
“What’s the point when you’re just gonna get sweaty again?,” you smirk taking his now red, fuller bottom lip between your teeth.
“All the more reason for you to join me then.” You can’t fully enjoy the combination of his tongue and lips on your neck from your brain hurriedly trying to figure out how to stop this man from finding your little surprise in the bathroom.
“Your, um..sides though! You know it’s gonna hurt trying to shower so just stay here with me.”
“Is there a reason you don’t want me going in our bathroom?,” he asks detaching from your neck with one final bite to eye you suspiciously.
“No, of course not. I just missed you.” Batting your lashes, you nonchalantly let your nail trace a line from where his pendant sat down the middle of his abdomen and just above his buckle before he shifted, swiftly lying you on your back with one hand hooked under your knee bringing it around his waist.
Men. Always so easy.
Giggling as thumbs graze the lower band of your bra and lips return to their assault on your neck and collarbone, a high pitched bark along with scuffling makes you freeze as Paul lifts his head confused.
“You heard that right?”
“Y-Yeah. It’s probably from one of the neighbors. Speaking of dogs though-”
When the barks and scuffling become more frequent, you start to wonder if Raye would mind you staying the night since you’d surely need a place to stay with Paul being mad at you.
“Nah that sounds really close,” he replies unhooking your leg to go investigate for himself. The only thing you can do is sit and nervously wait for the inevitable hearing him open the bedroom door and eventually enter the bathroom. “Honey...!”
“Hmm?!,” you ask biting the corner of your lip, turning your head at the sound of Paul padding across the wooden floor holding the noisy pup.
“Mind telling me why this little guy was in our tub?”
“....Maybe he was a gift from the front office?,” you innocently shrug making him bring his free hand to his hip, sternly looking at you.
“Y/N...,”
“Alright. My coworker and I were bored one day and started looking through the pets the shelter had for adoption online and this little guy came across the screen and stole my heart.”
“Babe we talked about this. We can’t mess this place up.”
“I know and we won’t. Before you came home, we just hung out in here and he was so calm and sweet. Even in the tub he sat there like a good boy,” you smile standing up to scratch behind his ears making his tail wag against Paul’s side.
“That’s because he couldn’t get out since the tub is taller than him,” he retorts as you roll your eyes taking your new baby from his grasp.
“Cmon Paul look at this face and tell me you can say no.”
Holding the puppy at his eye level, there’s a few moments of silence as the two simply look at each other before the grey haired dog licks his cheek making him groan.
“You know I can’t say no. To either of you,” he softly smiles petting the short fur on his head. Seeing your pout as you bring your new friend next to your face, he lowly chuckles caressing your cheek as his lips find yours. “Alright he can stay.”
“Thank you!,” you excitedly squeal bouncing on the balls of your feet. “I already have the perfect name picked out.”
“What’s that?”
“Disco. After his dad,” you both laugh.
“Well, welcome to the family Disco,” he smiles taking him from your hands to place him on the floor where he began to sniff around getting acclimated to his new home. You’re caught off guard when you’re tossed over his broad shoulder, blood rushing to your head as you gently kick your legs laughing.
“Paul!”
“Disco, look after everything. Me and mom have some unfinished business,” he smirks closing the bedroom door behind him with his foot.

Sick Day
Tumblr media
Pairing: Chris EvansxBlack Reader
⚠️: None, all fluff💕!
“I can’t come?,” Bodie asks with little pink lips in a heart wrenching pout and doe-like golden brown eyes seemingly peering into his father’s soul.
“No bud, you have to stay in your class.”
“Why?”
“So you can learn new things, and play with your friends,” Chris explains squatting down to be at his eye level as the four-year-old peers down at his sneaker covered feet.
“Why?,” he mumbles clearly not happy with his answer.
“Because....”
Honestly, why did he have to stay in class? Everything they were doing he could do at home really. And with as many books and educational games he had, Chris began to wonder why he even had to go to pre-k at all?
“You know, I don’t have an answer for you Bo.”
His curls lightly bounce as he tilts his head waiting to hear what his father had to say next.
“What do you say we go have some fun?,” he asks picking up a now excited Bodie as he claps his hands with a short squeal.
“Now daddy?!”
“Mhm. First we gotta get your bag, but after we can do anything you want bubs.”
The toddler beamed and mind began to race with all the things he’d want to do. Comfortably lying his head on Chris’ shoulder as they eventually left his school, he thought maybe they could even go to Disney and see his favorite characters after doing everything they could in town.
———
“More please!”
“Shh,” he chuckles momentarily placing his index finger over his own lips before pouring a few more jellybeans in his hand from the bag they were sharing. “Okay no more after this. You still gotta eat dinner.”
Just as he said, the two did everything Bodie wanted. First they went to the zoo and saw all the animals, then they went to the park and played catch as well as swung and climbed on the jungle gym (with Chris’ help). They even had lunch at his favorite restaurant and caught the last bit of the Red Sox game.
Now all that was left was for the two to eat dinner and Bodie get a bath without you knowing about him skipping school. Easy.
“Hey boys,” you smile as they enter the kitchen, an excited “mommy!” leaving your son’s lips as he leans in to kiss your cheek before your husband meets your lips. “How was school?”
“Good!,” Chris quickly answers putting down the little boy so he could go play with Dodger, happy to have his buddy back. “He had a great day.”
“Really?”
“Yea, the teacher said he did really well with his reading. And his uh group time went well too.”
You have to stifle your grin listening to your husband trying his best to lie when both of you knew he couldn’t. From his neck up to his ears and face became tinted a light red as he nervously scratched his beard, making you look at him feigning concern.
“Babe you okay? You keep scratching and you’re red,” you state placing the back of your hand on his forehead.
“Y-Yea, I guess I’m just a little hot is all.”
“You sure? Hopefully you didn’t catch something at the zoo.”
“No I doubt-,” he starts before his blue eyes expand and mouth slightly goes agape as you nonchalantly go back to moving around the contents of the sizzling pan.
“Or maybe it was something you ate at Maddio’s?,” you suggest with a smirk. The only thing he can manage to do is release a shaky chuckle with fingers rapidly tapping the cool marble countertop.
“H-How..”
“Peter’s mom called me saying how she hoped Bo felt better after she heard he left school early because he was sick, and thus wouldn’t need to be picked up for his play date. I told her how that was news to me, but I’d call you to see what happened. As soon as I hung up with her, I got a notification from the bank on how a purchase was just made at the zoo, which was confusing until Maddio’s also popped up and then things came together.”
He really needed to remember to turn off those bank notifications on your phone when he got the chance.
“So sounds like you guys had fun today.”
“Alright you caught us,” he sighs wrapping his arms around your waist from behind and resting his chin on your shoulder. “I didn’t get any time with him last night since I got in so late, or this morning because I was still asleep when you guys left, so I thought I could go and peek in on him in class really quick. Of course he saw me, so we played for a while and when I had to leave he looked so sad babe! I couldn’t just leave him like that.”
“Which then made you persuade our son to play hookie,” you giggle making him softly laugh.
“I’m sorry for being a bad influence,” he pouts as you turn in his arms to face him, lips meeting his soft, jutted bottom one.
“It’s okay, plus you haven’t been the only bad influence. When you first left I might’ve, sorta, let him stay home for a week,” you reveal shyly biting your bottom lip. Now was his turn to smirk before gently nudging your cheek with his nose and a low “well well well,” rolls off his tongue making you laugh.
“He was sad, I was sad, even Dodger wasn’t as upbeat as usual. So, I figured everyone deserved time at home with some much needed cuddles.”
Shaking his head, a lone strand of hair dangles perfectly in front of his forehead and tongue clicks as you playfully roll your eyes lying your head on his chest. “A whole week and I only took him one day.”
“Okay so maybe I was a little more sad and selfishly needed the extra cuddles, sue me. Plus what Bo does in class we can do here.”
“That’s exactly what I said! Even today he read the menu, ordered his own food, and we did math,” he smiles calling out to the giggling boy over his shoulder. “Bodie, how many innings are in a baseball game?”
“9!”
“And how many bases are there?”
“Um..3 daddy. And-and home is 4!,” he answers bouncing on the balls of his feet.
“Good job bubs! See? Just call me Mr. Frizzle,” he winks, the both of you laughing as you held onto each other.
Eyes wandering to the living room, a soft smile graces yours and Chris’ faces watching your son show Dodger how the lion he got from the zoo matched his larger one. It was hard to believe that you two already had a four year old when it seemed like you were just walking around the house with both hands at the base of your growing belly.
Although you could do without the morning sickness, back pains, and the struggling to catch your breath parts of pregnancy, you did miss the overall experience of it. So much so that you’d been recently thinking maybe it was time Bodie had a sibling.
“Can we have another one?,” you ask not taking your gaze away from the adorable duo lying on their bellies on the floor. Chris slightly parts from you making sure he not only heard you correctly, but that your expression was truly as serious as your words.
“Really? You want another baby?”
“Well yeah. I mean we’ve talked about it before how we both wanted more than one, and lately with Bo growing up so fast I’ve missed having a baby in the house.”
“Not to mention you were very cute while pregnant,” Chris adds, leaning down to peck just below your jaw. There wasn’t a time while you were carrying Bodie that his eyes weren’t adoringly attached to you. Watching you do the simplest things, like watering the plants around the house, instantly made his heart swell and a bright smile form on his lips at your glowing skin and the fact that you were growing his child’s life within you.
“Then it’s settled..?”
“Mhm, and maybe when this one gets old enough we can have a joint family hookie day?,” he jokingly suggests causing you to giggle.
“As a responsible adult and parent I probably shouldn’t say it, but that’s actually not a bad idea.”

Mixed Signals
Tumblr media
Pairing: college!Chris EvansxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: One text from your boyfriend nearly wrecks your night
⚠️: Slight suggestive content, mentions of virginity, a very awkward yet hilarious (at least I hope it comes across as that) moment, fluff!
Stomach turning and heart racing, it’s hard to focus on the math problems in front of you with what’s spiraling in your head.
Ever since “My roommate’s out of town, you know what that means😉” flashed across your screen, you’ve been slightly confused and on edge. And your friend’s response after you sent her the screenshot didn’t make you feel any better.
“Not trying to pry, but have you guys....you know... yet?,” she asked over lunch in the courtyard.
“No..why you think that’s what he means?”
“I mean I’m not sure, but I know when my boyfriend sends the winky face it typically means we’re not getting any work done,” she grins to herself before taking a sip of her soda.
You, on the other hand, had lost your appetite and hadn’t found it since.
In your five months of dating you and Chris never really brought up going to that level of your relationship, and you thought he honestly didn’t care. He never pressured you or made any advances that made you feel uncomfortable; instead he just let things flow, which you appreciated. There was a part of you though, that wondered if things would always stay this way and he’d always be so patient.
Apparently you were quickly being shown how they wouldn’t.
Not that you didn’t want to go there. Clearly you weren’t blind to how attractive your boyfriend was with his piercing blue eyes that made you swoon at every glance, and muscular arms and legs making you embarrassingly stumble over your words those times he’d greet you at the door in only his boxers. Paired with his overall personality that kept you entertained from his dorky antics yet intrigued from his intellectual views, you were completely smitten already by the man across from you.
But if you were ready for the next step, you weren’t quite sure yet.
Plus even if you were you wouldn’t even know where to start! You knew what went where, obviously, but what about the other stuff that went with it? And what if you weren’t any good at it? You knew guys talked (even though they claim not to gossip but we all know), and you didn’t want to be that girl getting destroyed in the group chat. Oh God what if something was wrong with you down there?!
“Y/N?...Babe!”
“Huh? Yea?”
“I asked what’d you get for 25? My answer isn’t matching up with what’s in the book.”
“Oh uh I haven’t gotten there yet, I’m still on 12,” you answer now trying to catch up.
“You okay?”
“Yea, why?”
“Well for starters, you’ve been clicking your pen nonstop for a while,” Chris chuckles as you slowly lower your pen. “And you’ve been kinda spacey since you got here. Anything you want to talk about?”
“YES! A LOT ACTUALLY!,” you wanted to scream, but instead you simply shrugged.
“No, I’m fine. Just a little stressed I guess.”
“Why don’t we take a break then?,” he suggests closing his textbook. Watching him stand from his desk with a short stretch and yawn, your skin feels as if it’s been set ablaze wondering what would happen next.
“Is this him making a move?,” you thought as he plopped down on the bed next to you with a loud sigh. Holding his arms out with a childlike smile, a nervous laugh escapes your lips setting your textbook off to the side before wrapping your arms around his middle cuddling close to his body.
“So I’ve uh been thinking...”
And here come the nervous sweats. Please don’t let me stink.
“Mhmm?”
“Maybe we could try some new things?,” he answers, fingertips trailing up and down your spine.
“N-New?,” you swallow. From how hard your heart is pounding against your chest, you’re surprised Chris hasn’t said anything and that you haven’t gone into cardiac arrest.
Then again the night’s still young.
“Yea, but there’s no pressure. If you don’t want to it’s fine.”
“Not that I’m upset or anything, but where’s this coming from?,” you ask. Your hands moving to rest on his pecs helping you sit up.
“Just to change things up you know? What we usually do is fun, but I’ve started wanting different.”
Great, now you’re boring. Wait, are you gonna be boring in bed too? You honestly weren’t that flexible. Maybe you could sneak to the bathroom and stretch?
“Oh, um okay.”
“Hey it’s like I said though, if you don’t want to it’s completely fine,” he reassures sitting up himself and taking your hands in his. His warm thumbs running soothingly along the bumps of your knuckles before bringing them to his lips.
You were still scared, but deep down you felt that you could trust him with all of you, and you wouldn’t want your first time to be with anyone else.
“No, I-I want to,” you smile.
“Great! We can-,”
He can’t finish his sentence before your lips are hurriedly pressed to his and your hands gently frame the sides of his neck letting your thumbs graze along his jawlines.
So far so good Y/N, just don’t think about it.
You’d made out plenty of times before, but compared to you two now, you realized those in the past were more so innocent and playful with your breaks for small chuckles and fingers tracing facial features. Seemingly feeding off your energy, kisses now were hungrier and soon you were straddling his lap feeling something press against your thigh as his fingers dug into your hips.
Okay now that we’re here, do I take my clothes off first or his? Or do I take turns with both? Should I wait on him? Does it really matter?
His mouth moves lower to your neck attacking right above your pulse point, and in turn making it race faster as a hidden moan rolls off your tongue startling your own self.
Hold on, did I even shave my legs? Dangit, I said I would do it tonight when I got back.
You lean back to remove your graphic tee, but Chris holds your hands in place stopping you from moving any further.
“Baby you sure about this?,” he asks slightly out of breath with red and partially swollen lips. “It’s your first time and I don’t want you rushing into anything when you’re not ready.”
“Yea...I think so at least. Plus you were talking about doing something different-,”
“I was talking about going somewhere different for our date night. Supendi’s is nice, but there’s this new arcade for adults that I thought would be fun.”
“But..but you texted saying how your roommate wasn’t home. And the winky face.”
“Yea meaning that when we get done with our work, we can watch the big tv in the living room rather than being stuck in here holding my phone screen.”
“Ohhh...”
You could’ve sworn your heart stopped right there as the blood drained from your face and apparently stopped in your throat from the lodged sensation you get.
Reminder: call your parents when you get the chance to ask if they dropped you on your head as a child, explaining why you’re so dumb now.
“You thought I was saying-?,”
“Yep, I did,” you sigh moving towards the opposite side of the bed pressed against the white as milk wall. Arms wrapped around yourself as you sink further into the mattress, your embarrassment also makes you feel uncomfortably vulnerable and desperately wanting to return to your room so you could cry in the corner of your shower.
“I’m such an idiot.”
“No you’re not,” he states leaning down to kiss your temple before hugging you close, “It’s my fault you thought that. I should’ve been more clear, I’m sorry.”
“If I wasn’t sure, I should’ve just asked rather than assumed though. That would’ve saved a lot of embarrassment and stress.”
A lighthearted chuckle vibrates his chest and forehead rests against your temple distracting you long enough to bring some level of comfort.
“Don’t think I stopped because I don’t want to, believe me I really do. Like I said though, I want you to be sure you’re ready.”
You only nod, giving him a small smile while you bask in the sensation of his cool nose bumping and rubbing against your cheek.
“And you’re not bored, since we haven’t had sex yet?,” you timidly ask finally meeting his eyes.
“Of course not. I’m never bored when I’m with you, and never will be.”
How was he so perfect? Where did this guy come from Build a Boyfriend? Your lips find his, still a bit red from your earlier session, melting away any self doubt or overthinking that remained in your brain successfully bringing the quiet it so desperately needed.
“Thanks for being so patient with me.”

Penny for Your Thoughts (2)
Tumblr media
Pairing: QB!Chris EvansxBlack Reader
Summary🪄: You definitely didn’t expect your first date to be so hectic, yet so perfect
⚠️: None just fluff💕
The weekend of a home game always seemed to have the city in more of a buzz than normal. Everyone rushing from store to store trying to get everything they’d need for watch parties and tailgating. Streets holding more cars from those who followed the visiting team to physically show their support.
And if said game resulted in a win, the energy only intensified as those invested seemed to sport brighter smiles. It even made complete strangers high-five after raving how no team could do it better. That was the current state surrounding you now after Boston College’s 24-12 comeback victory.
Since entering the dimly lit restaurant, all eyes were stuck to the two of you. Well mostly Chris, but you also received glances from those nosy enough to wonder who you were to him, and the occasional eye roll from the girls wishing they were the ones being led by his large hand to the table. He warned you ahead of time that this would probably happen and apologized in advance, but you understood it just came with the territory.
His eyes lift from scanning his menu to watch you studying yours as you toyed with the gold banded ring on your index finger. You already made his chest warm just from the slightest glimpse of you, but your face illuminated by the small lamp on the table had a soft smile spreading across his lips feeling as if you were the only two in the room.
“See anything you like?,” he asked, solid body leaning forward as his hands nervously rubbed together under the table and it’s pristine, white table cloth.
“Everything sounds so good, but I think I’ll just stick with a salad or something.”
“You sure? Get anything you want, it’s my treat. Plus I still owe you a celebration for acing your exam.”
Your face brightens at the reference to the conversation you had last month. That’s when your date was supposed to happen originally, but with you being so stressed about passing, you both agreed that it’d probably be best to try again later.
“We’ll go the next time we’re both free. That way we can celebrate.”
“Celebrate what exactly?,” you giggled, phone pressed against your ear as you scribbled more notes at your desk.
“You passing, duh.”
“Thanks for the confidence, but let’s not call it so early.”
Sure enough, he predicted right.
“You remembered,” you smiled.
“Of course I did, why would I forget?,” he asks. Fingertips finding your knee to graze against your soft skin making your cheeks warm.
“Well in that case, I’ll have the lobster, steak, and I’ll go ahead and put in my dessert order,” you joke flashing your most innocent smile.
“It’s up to you cutie.” You both laugh, but yours is a bit shorter lived at the reveal of his apparent nickname for you. From the way he carried on as if nothing happened, briefly checking his vibrating phone, you didn’t know if it was an accidental slip of the tongue or him being comfortable enough to say it in front of you.
Either way, your heart fluttered at the sentiment and how it sounded off his tongue.
“Excuse me,” a thick, Boston accent interrupts slightly startling both of you. “I hate to cut in, but I just wanted to say that game was incredible!”
“Oh um thanks man,” he politely smiles.
“I’ve been watching since I was a boy, and I can truly say you got something special kid. Like with that trick play to put us in the lead?! Phenomenal! No way you’re not going in the first round. Speaking of, you got any teams in mind? I know you gotta be eyeing the Pats!”
“I uh really appreciate the kind words, but I’m kinda in the middle of something,” Chris replies motioning between the both of you with his finger. From the look in his eyes, hoping that the middle aged man would get the hint.
“You’re right, I’m sorry,” he replies holding up his hands as he takes a step back. “You kids have a good time, and you keep throwing those touchdowns.” With a final wave and pat of his shoulder, Chris waits until the fan is definitely gone before apologizing to you with sympathetic eyes.
“You don’t have to apologize, it’s okay. They’re excited to see you.”
“This is our time though, and I want all my focus going to you.”
“Aww, that’s very-,”
“Hi! Sorry, but you’re the quarterback for BC right?!,” the excited lady asks holding the hand of her small son probably around eight or nine. Before answering, he looks to you seemingly asking you for permission, and although you knew he’d respectfully turn them away explaining how he’d be sure to find them later if you gave the right signal, you didn’t want to be the one getting in the way of him and his fans. Especially when they were little kids.
Gently nodding your head with a small smile, he quickly mouths “sorry” before turning his attention back to the mom and son, giving the awestruck boy a high five at his mentioning of how he has Chris’ jersey at home. At the mother’s asking, you took pictures of the three of them before she was heading back to the table with the little boy still smiling like the Cheshire Cat looking down at his favorite college quarterback’s autograph and small personalized message on the napkin in his hands.
“Now, where were we?,” he asks settling back in his seat, taking a drink from his glass of water. You don’t get the chance to answer, hearing a pair of heels clacking against the tile floor coming closer to your table. The head of red hair with perfect beach waves cascading down to her shoulders has a satisfied smirk on her pink, glossed lips as she finally reaches the two of you, more so focused on Chris.
“Well isn’t this a sight for sore eyes. Then again I probably shouldn’t be surprised seeing you here at our place.”
Actually, it wasn’t. They only came there once and she was solely preoccupied with making sure all her followers knew she was being spoiled at a fancy restaurant while they weren’t. Chris didn’t even remember getting a word in that night, having to listen to her boast about all the people who would be jealous of her if they already weren’t.
Finally setting her crystalline, blue eyes on you, you see right through the sweet facade as she sticks out her hand. Almond shaped nails freshly manicured a sparkly light blue color. “Where are my manners, I’m Kelly. I’m sure you’ve heard about me before.”
“Not really, no,” you answer shaking her hand and making her smirk falter. “That’s a pretty dress though.”
“Thanks,” she dryly replies pulling her hand back to her side.
“Babe, our table’s ready.”
A man built similar to Chris and around your age with black hair and hazel eyes lightly grazes her arm to get her attention, clearly not wanting to completely be shown to the table as he stayed behind her. You didn’t have to be a genius to figure out he was the guy she cheated with and was too guilty to face his teammate.
Well, soon to be former from the rumblings at the game of those who were in the know with the dealings of the players.
“You two enjoy your dinner,” Chris speaks finding your hand across the table and enclosing it with his warm one. This simple movement nearly had Kelly combust seeing him moved on with someone else, while you began to wonder even more about his true intentions.
“Yea, y-you too,” the unnamed man quickly replies pulling his speechless date with him, who had yet to look away from you until he physically turned her around.
“Hey why don’t we get out of here? It’s hard to have you to myself with everyone interrupting,” Chris suggests with a gentle smile.
“Um yea, sure. Lead the way.”
———
15 or 20 minutes of driving around the city, and you ended up on campus in the more secluded part of the grounds. Then again, with it being Saturday night every part was pretty much secluded now.
The gazebo brightly adorned with bulb fairy lights hanging from the ceiling and around the pillars was a popular spot for graduation and wedding photos, as well as other couples looking for a calmer space without having to go too far. And although a beautiful and romantic scene, Chris desperately wished he could’ve found someplace better to take you.
“You okay?,” he nervously asks settling on the blanket he placed on the wooden floorboards so your clothes wouldn’t pick up any dirt or dust. “If you want to go somewhere else, I can-,”
“No no, this is perfect,” you smile, but not fully convincing Chris from how minimal you talked on the ride over.
“You’re not just sparing my feelings are you?” His suspicious expression and tilted head has you giggling as you take a sip of your water, feeling a bit more relaxed.
“No I just…after seeing your ex I guess I started wondering….”
“About what?”
“…your intentions,” you reveal, more focused on bending your straw back and forth rather than meeting his eyes that were probably peering at you like you were crazy bringing up the ‘what are we?’ conversation so early. “And where you wanted this to go?”
“Well this definitely isn’t a rebound if that’s what you’re thinking,” he answers sipping from his lemonade. Yes, you were thinking that. Had been since you guys started talking in fact. Then with him grabbing your hand at the table in front of Kelly, you didn’t know if the action was sincere or you just being a pawn in the midst of their game of who could make the other more jealous.
“So you think you’re completely moved on from her? And ready to date again?”
“I’ll be honest, when we first met I was still hurt and sulking as you could tell,” he briefly chuckles, “but the more we talked and hung out, I got over it and wanted to move on with someone who made me happy. Someone like you.”
Feeling him slide closer placing his hand on top of yours, your entire body heats up as his stubbled face feels like it’s mere inches from yours.
“So to answer your question, yes I’m ready and if it’s okay with you, I want to see how far this goes.”
Your soft smile as you close the remaining gap connecting your peach flavored lips with his makes him grin against your mouth happily accepting your answer. “I’ll take that as a yes, but if it’s not this is the greatest rejection I’ve ever gotten,” he speaks between pecks and occasional lip bites.
“You’re such a dork.”
His palm cradles the side of your face, thumb carefully gliding against your cheek and noses gently bumping each other not caring if he had to breathe. He just wanted to stay pressed to you.
A bright light shining in his eye, though, momentarily interrupts your intimate moment nearly making him groan out in annoyance how tonight just wasn’t the night for privacy.
“Alright guys I know you’re probably just enjoying your date, but if you’re gonna do that you gotta go back to your roo- oh, hey champ!,” the bulky security guard greets finally turning off his handheld light. “Insane game tonight.”
“Thanks,” Chris sighs partially shielding you as he tried to discreetly wipe around his mouth for any traces of your lip balm.
“Well you two have a nice night, but remember no extra curriculars out in the open if you catch my drift.”
“Got it. Goodnight sir.” He sends the guard off with a small wave before you’re both laughing at the night you’ve had and your forehead falls to his shoulder.
“Next date, I’m taking you out the country.”
