Okay y’all.. since I haven’t played Choices much until recently, what newer books are a must read? I’ve started Roommates with benefits, First comes love, and Immortal Desires.. didn’t even get past the first chapter with any of those because I just missed the old books and had to replay those first! 😅🤷🏼‍♀️

Historical periods that have been covered by Pixelberry's books:

- Ancient Rome: A Courtesan of Rome

- "Middle Ages" (Sort of): Guinevere, The Crown and the flame, Blades of Light and Shadow, A Cursed Heart (I guess?)

- Renaissance (I guess too i don't really remember but looking at some images it matches the aesthetic): A Royal Masquerade

- Georgian period: The Duchess Affair

- Regency Period: Desire & Decorum

- Edwardian Era/Belle Epoque: The Unexpected Heiress

I think it's quite curious that we have never gotten a book set in the Victorian Era, one of the most popular historical periods for movies, series, books, etc because of the romantic aesthetic, the fashion, etc. But we have a series set before in the Regency and two books set in the Edwardian Era (since that Ship of Dreams is apparently set in this period too and come on, let's be honest, who cares that much about the Edwardian Era?) And there's a huge gap in between lol, my guess is some future book will be set in the Victorian Era, I only hope it's the 1860s I can't with those ugly ass bustles from later on 🙏

Some periods I would like to see in future books and I think could be great settings:

- Ancient Egypt

- Hellenistic Period

- Ancient China

- Vikings golden age

- 15th century

- Louis XIV Era

- Victorian Era

- Vintage glamour like 40s and 50s

- Disco 70s

- 1980s drama like Dynasty

Or one of the sequel game projects (It Lives, Nightbound, etc) yet?

I did play the 1st book of Blades of Light and Shadow, I did start the 2nd book but didn’t finish playing.

I played It Lives, found the game a bit scary, but otherwise? The character development is really good and also how much the choices you make especially by interacting with the other characters impact the story, I liked that a lot.

Because when you play Choices most of the time your choices don’t really make an impact and your character can’t really grow (in my opinion) the only difference or choice that is visible if what your MC is wearing. Other than that it usually doesn’t have much of an impact.

Oh my god are you kidding? Nightbound is one of my favorite books from choices, I still wish we’ve seen more or that we’ve gotten a sequel. I think there were a lot stories and so much more lore to explore, but at least we’ve gotten one good book 1.

#mine would be a coordinated museum heist utilizing the lifetimes of experience and diverse expertise of my fellow nursing home residents #also there's Karl the orderly. his skill is he drives the shuttle van #technically he shouldn't be enabling us but he thinks it's a good enrichment activity #heck debra hasn't been this excited since her son flew in from australia.#plus Karl figures formulating an elaborate heist is better brain exercise than the puzzle books they keep in the resident lounge #all the sudokus are half finished anyway #update: upon consideration my second choice is just. MASSIVE credit card fraud.

Alright, changing it up a bit with my book stuff but this one hit home with me. The author draws very interesting parallels between stories in the Quran and her experiences as a gay muslim woman that are very interesting. And if you think you can’t be muslim and gay, or wear a hijab and be gay, or even tackle muslim culture and queerness in one, then you’re bound to be pleasantly proved wrong with this one.
