Little things I hate seeing in kid's fashion:
Too many accessories. Kids will inevitably take them off and lose them. You will then be upset with them. Kids under 10 are not going to be able to handle hats, scarves, bracelets, purses, neclaces, etc. It's just setting them up to fail. I know in winter you usually need a hat and mittens and a scarf, etc, but in that case they will probably wear those items the whole time and not take them off. I'm more talking about accessories that are just there to look good but become a burden on the kid when they have to be responsible.
Long hair that isn't tied back. Kids need to play and that's really hard if their hair is getting everywhere. It's also really bad for their hair because it's going to get messy during the day. This is also very gendered and I think it's a big reason why little girls are "calmer". They've been naturally discouraged from playing!
Shoes that you can't run in. This goes along with the last one. Kids need to play! And i know many little girls go through a plastic high heels phase. I would encourage them to explore that through dress up. But even outside of that. Flipflops, many sandals, flats, and especially crocs are so hard to run around in! Your kid needs sneakers! They need shoes that can take a beating and they won't trip in!
Onesies on potty-trained kids. I only saw this a few times but it drove me crazy. If your kid is potty trained or in the process of potty training they have to be able to take their pants and pull-ups or diapers off! Onesies are reall only appropriate for babies and toddlers. Also pro-tip once your toddler can stand and walk, it's way easier to change a diaper standing and if you do it in the bathrooms it can help the transition to potty training
Clothes that can't get dirty for long periods of time. Are you going to a wedding? Okay a nice dress that needs to stay clean is fine. Are you sending your kid to school? Send them in play clothes! Play is such an important part of learning! They need to get dirty and muddy and play with paint and markers!
Overall, I just hate when the person dressing a kid isn't thinking about the child's experience in the clothes. It is such an important part of the day and as an adult that's our main consideration when we dress ourselves. Kids need to be able to play and have fun without hating their clothes!

It isn’t quite cape weather yet, a sudden burst of October sunshine brightening the weekend but as nights cool, this peacock blue wool embroidered with cream silk floss will keep small shoulders warm. It is a child’s garment from the 1860s. Possibly Anglo-Indian. V&A.
