Spotted, Striped Endangered Tapir Calf Born in the UK
A new spotted and striped Malayan tapir calf is wobbling around in Cheshire, England. Born at the Chester Zoo, the baby has been called important for the conservation of the endangered species.
There are fewer than 4,500 Malayan tapirs in the world.
Happy Friday! I hope you're all having a fantastic day. These pictures are from yesterday at Chester Zoo. I didn't want to overwhelm everyone with too many pictures.
Today I did:
- Applied for jobs
- Reached out to hiring managers and recruiters on LinkedIn and via email as part of my job hunting strategy
This silvery gibbon was chilling out on the little bit of space in front of one of the glass panels, not giving a flying fuck about everyone crowding around to have a look at him.
I’m able to watch Our Zoo through my mom’s Hoopla account! And of course, one episode in and I’m already hooked! Chester Zoo is one of the greatest zoos on the planet and I’m so blessed to have visited it. The show is so wholesome. Much like All Creatures Great And Small which is what I need. Perhaps I’ve discovered a new fandom…or something to crossover into one of my already established fanfiction worlds.
As for writing, I managed to get a few more paragraphs done for Chapter 154 of Addie’s story yesterday. I thought about posting what I have for a content preview (thanks to a recent post on here shared by @elise-51-blog) but decided not to. I hadn’t touched her latest chapter since August so it felt good to finally get back into her saga even if it is still a mess. My current ideas for Jules’ saga are a mess too. Hence why I need a potential escape into the founding of Chester Zoo and Lee Ingleby.
Chester Zoo first as RARE FOSSA PUPS born ✨
The trio have emerged from their den and are now exploring and playing together 🐾
Only 2600 fossa remain in Madagsacar 🇲🇬 where our conservationists are working to protect and restore habitats after mass deforestation 🌳
