Is Grammar racist and colonialist?

The question on the concept of grammar always has been, and is political. Grammar is understood to be a tool to aid in communicating clearly in writing and speech and improve understanding, clarity, and reduce confusion. However as a society, white people and WASP (White Anglo Saxon Protestant) should be able to put in the effort to embrace and understand BIPOC communication. Is it not chauvinistic to ignore the speech of African Americans because of their use of English? Is it not colonialist to enact native European language to BIPOC? Subleties in language remains as a tool of microaggression and oppression to subjugate the BIPOC of the United States of America. In a school setting after the enactment of desegregation, African American children were wrongfully punished as stubborn and anti-social due to the subtle differences in the English spoken by the white and and African American community. For example, in white househould a parent presents a declaration as a question, "Timmy do you want to take a bath?", while in African American English, declarations are made, "That boy needs to take a bath". Subsequently in a school setting, a white teacher may ask an African child, "John do you want to put that toy away?" and the African child rightfully replies "No", perceiving the teacher's declaration as a simple question. Consequently, the African child is interpreted to be stubborn and punished, reducing the likelihood of a successful future due to the school to prison pipeline. Perhaps the White Americans (WASP) of the United States should evaluate the purpose of grammar and accomodate the needs of the oppressed BIPOC community, instead of enforcing rigid, colonialist, chavinistic, and oppressive grammatic structures.

Just as I get extremely annoyed when people state Belle had Stockholm Syndrome (regardless of my personal views of her right now), I also get very annoyed when people claim that Gaston is a misogynist. He's many things, a pig, an attempted murderer, a backstabber, a slanderer, and a huge narcissist, but he is NO misogynist. He's at most a Male Chauvinist (and there is in fact a distinction between the two. A male chavinist, while looking down on women and viewing them as inferior, otherwise doesn't mind women too much and is willing to go for them. A misogynist, by contrast, is completely disgusted by the very idea of females, and would at best not wish to interact with females in any capacity, certainly not up close, and at worst would be closer to the type of guy who wants to murder women, period, like Ted Bundy. Doesn't even need to feel women are inferior to them in order to qualify. They could also have an inferiority complex towards women and hate them because they perceive women to be "better" than themselves and loathe them for it. Jealousy-motivated misogyny in a sense.). The fact that he even WANTS to marry Belle at all and has very little problem with the triplets overall, heck, actually likes the fact that he's the heartthrob of the various village females (and if Disney Theme Parks are of any indication, Gaston treats little girl patrons surprisingly well, being courteous towards them), makes clear he is no misogynist, as no actual misogynist would even stomach the idea of being liked by a girl, or for that matter a girl being within six feet of him unless she's a corpse he himself created. Even in the cases where they only go for the women at all out of pure pragmatism due to realizing they're the only way they can have children, they generally hate females to such an extent that if they get a girl, it usually results in the girl being killed or worse.

Actually, want a good example of how an actual misogynist would behave regarding a woman, ignoring pragmatism or anything like that? Try looking at how General Blue reacted to Bulma flirting with him:

And just to reinforce the point, since Bulma's behavior there could just as easily point to him just being disgusted with how she flirted with him rather than her per se, replace Bulma in at least the first page displayed (plus the video) with, say, Fiona from Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation, in particular how she acts in her debut episode, where while flirting with the Owner upon meeting him isn't nearly as crass about it in order to make it significantly less ambiguous as to him not tolerating the presence of females at all, much less them flirting with him in any capacity:

The long and the short of it is, if Gaston truly was a misogynist, he wouldn't go for Belle at all, and if anything, his reaction to Belle even being in close proximity to him, or any girl in the village for that matter, would have been a lot closer to that of General Blue. Or, if he DOES go for Belle, it's more of a "serial killer" kind of thing, like Ted Bundy if I must cite him again, or even Brian Irons from Resident Evil 2. I prefer precise definitions, laser-focused and all of that, not wishy-washy basic stuff.

Ironically, Belle in at least the New Adventures of Disney's Beauty and the Beast actually could make the case of being a misandrist based on this choice line of dialogue here:

Heck, if anything, the closest in Disney that we've got to an actual misogynist is Chi Fu from Mulan, who literally refused to give the titular character any credit, did not tolerate Mulan speaking at all, and even attempted to have her EXECUTED at one point. As bad as Gaston was, at least he was willing to let women speak and even sing in his presence. Heck, even his dislike of reading, particularly women, though he implies later on that he's probably not even fond of men such as himself reading either, is pretty tame overall. At least he doesn't throw acid at Belle's face for having a book on her, while the Taliban were notorious for doing that to girls in Afghanistan caught going to school.

Bear in mind I don't even LIKE Gaston at all, so don't think for one second I'm defending him. I just dislike the misuse of words, that's all. Even less so when they're utilized on places like the Disney Wiki. I know it's not official, but it's still an Encyclopedia, which requires facts.

Sebenarnya aku menyokong tindakan Tun M memangku jawatan Menteri pendidikan.. bagi aku nasihat Tun untuk dr Maszlee meletak jawatan sebagai menteri pendidikan..mungkin ada asasnya.. The Pakatan Harapan Gomen...

1. When a new party takes over as a Government, it would be a miracle if it were to execute all its plans and promises overnight. Certainly, when PH took over from BN which had ruled the country for the past 60 years, it would be an even greater miracle if it can implement its plans and agenda immediately. It is not taking over just any Government. It took over from a kleptocratic Government which had raped the nation for years, destroyed its finances, undermined its administrative agencies, abused its laws, borrowed well beyond the ceiling permitted, placed the country on the path to bankruptcy, made the people dependent on the Government with bribes and generally undermined the moral of the people. 2. Of course, a lot of people were happy to enjoy corrupt money and many illegal favours. They would like these bad practices to continue. But the majority of the people knew the sad state of the country and ensured that the corrupt Government was overthrown. 3. This was a miracle of sorts. A “hodge-podge” coalition of 4 parties, together with another party outside the coalition and even a person not linked in any way to the parties, took over. 4. They were united only in the desire to bring down the kleptocratic Government. Otherwise they each had their own ideology and agenda. In other countries when a common objective is achieved, the fragile unity would break up as each party would try to take over. A bitter struggle would ensue. In the end the coalition would break up. In one Middle Eastern country, the ensuing struggles ended up with the military seizing power. It was back to square one. 5. This did not happen in Malaysia. The fragile opposition coalition was sustained, even with the inclusion of a non-member party as well as an independent individual who joined the cabinet. They formed a Government. And they seem to be working together, having formed a cabinet without any written agreement as to who takes what. This is the 2nd miracle. The cabinet seems to work. At least they can meet, discuss and make decisions. Of course, many criticised their decisions. This is normal. No Government can have the approval of everyone every time. The important thing is that this fragile cabinet is still functioning. 6. But many would say, this Government is directionless. Is it? Let’s look at what it has done. Despite a huge debt of well over a trillion Ringgit, it apparently has been able to retain the solvency of the country. The creditors are not suing the Government. Indeed, some are even keen to lend more money at low rates. The Government is clearly credit worthy. The debt has been reduced. 7. Politically the country is stable. Yes, there are some disturbances in a member of the ruling coalition. But this is normal. No one has tried to overthrow the Government by a vote of non-confidence. They know it will not succeed.

8. Then the economy. It is still growing at a good rate for a country at this stage of development. Yes, there is an outflow of funds and the currency has been devalued. This is a function of the market. Malaysia still has the biggest savings. Bank Negara Reserve is very high – RM400 billion plus. Other funds, such as PNB, KWSP, and some smaller funds add up to over RM1.5 trillion. Foreign assets are big. National Oil Company Petronas is doing well with more than 100 billion income. It is 100% Government owned. Yes, the Ringgit is depreciating. In many other countries, reserves of this size would guarantee the strength of the national currency. But the market apparently cannot believe this strength of the Malaysian finances and its currency.

9. The fact is that the Malaysian economy and its currency are strong. The market and the detractors may not think so. But the Government has faith in its financial and economic policies. And so do foreign and local investors. 10. Socially, the Government has launched the Shared Prosperity scheme. For our detractors this does not indicate clear direction. But for the Government the direction is clear. We don’t want just to recover and be prosperous. We want to share our wealth equitably. 11. Towards this end we have initiated a new industrial plan, complemented by a new agricultural plan. I will not elaborate. But we know the direction we are going. Outsiders may not. But we do. 12. We are clear as to what we want to do and how we will do it. Plans may take a week or so to create but implementation will take much longer, at least two years or more. But the work has already begun. For the observers it would seem that nothing is moving. Rome was not built in one day. When Malaysia was switching from an agro-based economy to an industrial economy, it also took time. But most of us could not remember and the young never saw the transition. Most were born when the transition was accomplished. It is difficult to imagine an agricultural Malaysia today. 13. The same will happen now. The transition will take time – perhaps two years or more from now. But believe me it will happen. Indeed in some ways it is already happening. We are going paperless and soon there will be cashless. Digitalisation is already happening and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is contributing towards increasing speed of work and transaction. 14. Even for me it is frustrating to wait. But wait we must. The machinery of Government has been cleansed and is rapidly adapting to the new ways of working. Even the Ministers are adjusting to being in the Government instead of the opposition.

15. The accusation that this PH Government is directionless is made by those who refuse to acknowledge reality. Are we really the same as the Malaysia under the previous Government? Or are they saying they prefer the kleptocratic Government better. 16. We don’t steal money nor raise loans so as to have money for bribing people. We spend what we have. What we have is less money. We cannot afford to give free money to people. Our way is to increase or create jobs. But the people must be willing to take up the jobs or the business opportunities created. 17. We are doing all these. But we are not attracting attention to them. In time they will become clear contribution to the country’s economy. 18. The world today is in a state of turmoil. No one is really doing well. Look at what is happening in Latin America, the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, even Australia. Only China, Japan, and South Korea are doing relatively well, but even the countries of Northeast Asia are having intractable problems. 19. Then look at Malaysia. We are stable, peaceful and the Government respects the law. We are removing draconian laws or suspending them pending abolishment or amendment. People feel safe travelling anywhere in the country. During the celebration of the new year 60 to 80 thousand people gathered to enjoy the shows. This cannot happen even in some developed countries. 20. I will not talk about natural disasters. We have been spared though we are not quite grateful. 21. Yes. Malaysia is recovering from the disasters caused by the previous Kleptoctatic Government. Even now we are enjoying better governance. 22. Give the Government a little bit of time and participate fully in the Shared Prosperity Policies, and in two years time you will realise that the direction of the Government is right. - chedet

My 22 year old brother just yelled and smacked my 3 year old niece with a pillow over and over right in front of my whole family, including the child's mother. Everyone was flabbergasted.

The only reason was the little girl just woke up and couldn't stop crying.

My mother just used her poker face and said he was stressed. She said the same thing when the same brother wanted to punch my late dad. It's all everyone else's fault. Never his.

The problem with hollywood feminist is "i complain how much unfair and chavinist the world is, how much women are treated as objects but if they pay me good money i will do it with no problem".

That's how I feel. Yes women are allowed to be who and what they want to be, but they also need to understand what their choices mean. How many men do we know who would look at a naked or near naked woman and think wow you are so intelligent. If they like what they see, they think I want to screw her or how do I get to screw her. I want women to be taken serious and I don't know how they can be when their bodies are being used as objects of entertainment for men.

me and i think also other anons never say a feminist can't use sex. we argumented very well where and why the hypocrisy is shown. anyone who is not offended by a commercial where sex is used to promote something which sex is not about is not a feminist. and we can express our opinions (democracy you know) without be rude or chavinist. we are not calling her names, we are just call her hypocrite because she contradicts herself more than once (and not just about this subject).
