Missing Touch {L.P.}
Summary: You never wanted the boys finding out about you suffering with severe anxiety, but one night when Luke finds you having an attack alone in your room, it’s the hardest thing he’s had to deal with when it comes to touch.
Warnings: Mentions of anxiety, a couple swear words.
Word Count: 744
You have known the boys for a month now.
It took you a while to process the fact you were seeing 3 ghosts and your twin sister, Julie, was now forming a band with them.
You also couldn’t figure out how only you and Julie could see the boys; especially considering you didn’t really have a reasoning on how you could help the boys out. Julie was always the musician out of the both of you.
You weren’t complaining though. After getting to know the boys and slowly getting closer to them, you were happy to have them in your life. Especially Luke.
When you first met them, it seemed as though you and Luke clicked right away; a spark as some would say. He was the first person to go to when you had a problem you didn’t really want to tell anyone close to you about. And he was always coming to you about any band troubles.
The only thing the boys didn’t really know about you yet is how badly you suffered from anxiety. It’s not that you didn’t not want to tell them, you just didn’t want them worrying about you.
That all changed thought when Luke appeared one day while you were having an attack.
• ~ • ~ •
You knew exactly what had triggered your anxiety attack. The math test handed back to you this morning with the F that mocked back at you. You failed. You couldn’t believe it as you always have straight A’s, a 4.0 GPA and even on the honor roll a few times. AP Algebra has been the one subject that’s been nipping you in the ass. You were trying to hide it from your dad - deleting any emails sent to him right away - along with trying to hide it from your aunt Victoria. Though you knew the school probably talked to her about it already.
The attack came on fast as the feeling of stress soon consumed you, making you feel even more overwhelmed. You closed your eyes as you tried to focus on your breathing, but your chest only tightened on you more and the air escaped from your lungs quickly.
You hadn’t even noticed when Luke popped into your room, excited to tell you about a gig Julie and the phantoms had coming up this weekend.
But as soon as he saw you, the excitement quickly washed away and worry soon etched across his face.
He quickly rushed over to you instinctively, but when he went right through you, he realized the one thing he wanted to do, he couldn’t.
Sadness washed over him as he attempted one more time to pull you to him, knowing it would fail miserably.
He sat down as close to you as possible as he watched you.
“I don’t know what’s going on bug, but I know you’re strong enough to fight through it. Just focus on my voice and please don’t give up on those deep breaths.” He spoke softly catching your attention.
You look up at him as you let out a small gasp as he startled you. You shake your head as you didn’t want him to have to see you like this.
“Please…go.” You spoke out the best you could, another small gasp escaping past your lips.
“I’m not leaving Y/N. You shouldn’t be alone like this.” Luke says moving his hand to place on top of yours, ignoring the fact it didn’t actually touch you.
“I-I’m fine…please. just go.” You mumbled as you looked away from him, moving your knees to be tucked close to your chest.
“You can argue with me all you want, but there’s no way in hell I’m leaving you bug.” Luke spoke to you in a gentle tone and you couldn’t argue with him that just him being there made your stress slowly wash away.
You didn’t want him seeing you like this, but there wasn’t much you couldn’t do about it. It’s not like you could push him out of your room or something.
Luke watched as you struggled to catch your breath, tears trickling down your cheeks. He hated how he couldn’t hold you. That’s all he wanted to do. Hug you and whisper nonsense into your ear until you were okay again.
But he couldn’t. Missing touch was the hardest thing Luke had to come to terms with as a ghost.
…the one thing he missed the most.
•~•~•~
Note: I haven’t wrote a fanfic in a long time, so please be nice.🙃

coffee shop x charlie gillespie
inspired by:
Tumblr media
warnings: none, pure fluff
a/n: very random, i found this in my notes app :) enjoy <3
----------------------------------------------------------
the back corner of your favorite coffee shop has always been your safe place.
well it was, until one rainy afternoon a boy, who you've never seen before, was sitting there in the chair next to the window, scanning the library next to YOUR table, because it was your table, anyone who was a regular client knew this.
your stare must've been really intense because the barista approached him and asked him kindly if he could leave the table. his eyebrows turned to a frown, but nonetheless he complied and stood up after grabbing the book he was looking at before he was interrupted.
you walked up to the table as he walked towards your direction. you two met halfway and the space between you became narrow, making you both have to do the little dance you have to do when you have to let people through. you were about to let yourself be enchanted by his eyes but when your chests were too close and your arms stroked each other you noticed the book he grabbed.
“i'm sorry but that’s the one i’m reading” you said, taking the book out of under his arm. your irritated tone made him raise his eyebrows and then switch his eyes from yours to the barista who just held his hands up.
“i’m sorry” he said, putting his face way too close to yours and his hand on your waist, seemingly to gain balance as the space reduced when you put your arm back, but you swear you saw in his eyes that he was loving how your skin reacted.
“you already took my spot, this one’s mine now” he grabbed the book back from your hand and sat down in another table.
even though you decided not pay too much attention to the boy, your eyes couldn't help but go from the book to his face and more often than less, stay there, trying to catch his eyes, that seemed way too interested in the book he stole from you. it's not until he started smiling, that you noticed he knew what you were doing.
“i'm not giving it back” he muttered and took a sip of his coffee, trying to hide his bright, mocking smile.“you can come here and i'll read it to you if you want. i know you are dying to come over here anyways.”
your exasperated grown made him giggle, which made your heart skip a beat.
that was your last straw, you stood up and left the coffee place, taking one last look at him. he was looking for something on his backpack and didn't seem to notice you leave.
-----------------
you were an early bird the next day. taking the book out of the bookshelf and sitting down in your place, smiling and putting it up to your chest.
“reunited again” you said, letting out a breath, and opened it up where you left off.
while your eyes scrolled down the pages, you noticed little notes in the margins and your favorite phrases underlined in pencil. when your fingers traced the handwriting, you caught yourself smiling at the quirky comments someone added to your book. you were too distracted to notice the barista approaching you.
“someone left this for you” he said, handing you a note. you frowned and open it:
« "we would be together and have our books. at night, be warm in bed together with the windows open and the stars bright."
maybe we don’t have to hate eachother, see you soon.

Your body ached. That was the only thing you could feel. Actually, that was incorrect; you also had a headache and a snotty nose and you were pretty sure your temperature could boil water. In essence, you felt awful. You’d toughed it out for as long as you could, making yourself a steaming hot tea and cozying into the sofa for the night. It wasn’t making you feel any better. So, in a last ditch effort of saving your night, you dialled your boyfriend.
You smiled as his croaky, half-asleep voice came through your phone, murmuring your name.
“I’m sorry, did I wake you?” You asked, brows furrowed as you checked the time, gasping when it read 1:45am. You thought it was still closer to eleven.
“Don’t worry about it, couldn’t sleep anyway,” Luke lied and you frowned, though he couldn’t see it through the screen.
“No, it’s dumb. I’m sorry I woke you up. Night, Luke.” You moved to hang up when Luke interrupted you.
“Baby, wait! Clearly something’s bothering you. What’s up?” You smiled despite your discomfort, your boyfriend always boosting your mood without even trying.
“Nothing,” You pouted in your puddle of blankets, “Just feel sick.” You could feel Luke’s pity without him saying anything and weren’t sure whether to be indignant or grateful.
“Can you stay awake for twenty more minutes, love?”
“I guess so, why?” You asked, turning the TV back on as something to keep you from sleeping.
“I love you,” Was all he said, hanging up on you abruptly. You smiled softly to yourself, willing your eyes to stay open as you tried to focus on the sitcom in front of you.
You were just dozing off when you heard your apartment door unlocking and the brief shuffling of feet in the entryway. Your grin brightened, the familiar butterflies returning to your chest, even after months of being with Luke. The man in questioned approached you quietly, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead as you looked up at him.
“Luke, it’s 2 am, what are you doing here?” You asked despite the obvious answer, opening your shield of blankets for him to crawl onto the sofa with you. He made you wait, tipping out his reusable shopping bag onto the coffee table in front of you. There lay a pint of ice cream, tea bags, painkillers, and your favourite chocolate. Suddenly you weren’t sure if the heat on your face was fever or blush. Silently you held your arms out, and Luke dove into them with all the enthusiasm of a child, peppering your faces with all the kisses he could manage.
“Couldn’t let my girl be sick on her own,” He mumbled, nuzzling himself into the crook of your neck, eliciting a bout of giggles from you.
“My very own Prince Charming,” You grinned, pecking his temple. After a gratuitous moment of cuddling Luke peeled himself off you, taking on the role of concerned caretaker. He was quick to dart into the kitchen, turning the kettle on for your tea and grabbing a spoon for the ice cream he’d bought. Sitting himself in the vacant spot next to you he fixed his focus onto the TV.
“What are we watching?” He asked, pulling the lid off the ice cream tub for you.
“How I Met Your Mother, I’ve just reached season seven.” Luke gasped dramatically, holding his hands over his chest in faux outrage.
“You continued without me? How could you?” You laughed at his accusatory tone, shrugging your shoulders.
“I’m sorry, Lukey. You have to forgive me though, I’m sick,” You punctuated the statement with a pathetic cough, smiling as Luke easily settled down.
You watched in silence for a bit, both giggling at the stupid jokes. After a while you felt Luke looking at you seriously, but chose not to think much of it, continuing to tune in to the show. When he pulled out a thermometer, you raised an eyebrow. Luke wasn’t usually one to be so prepared, but you let him rest it on your tongue nonetheless. When it read a concerningly high number Luke frowned, silently popping the painkillers out of their packaging, feeding you with the insistence of a fed up mother hen.
“Why aren’t you a nurse?” You joked, swallowing the medication with a mouthful of melted ice cream, “Rockstar be damned.”
“Only for you, love.”
“That’s not true, I’ve seen you fretting over Reggie,” You laughed, and Luke couldn’t help but join you.
“That’s fair. You’re my favourite, though.”
“How unexpected.” You craned your neck to press a kiss to his jaw, revelling in the dumb grin that crept onto his face.
You both settled into silence, you leant into Luke’s side, his hands rubbing soft circles into your thigh. You could feel yourself drifting in and out of sleep, never quite able to stay in it for one reason or another. The blanket was too hot, you were cold without it, your head hurt. Nothing was quite right and all you wanted to do was sleep for as long as humanly possible.
“Luke?” You whispered, in case he was already asleep.
“Yes, love?” He replied, shifting his position to look down at you. You faltered for a moment, overwhelmed with the pure adoration in his eyes.
“Will you play for me?” Luke was up in a second, arranging you on the sofa. You giggled as he manhandled you, lying you down and wrapping you tightly in your blanket so you couldn’t escape. You teased him about being his captive audience as he tuned his guitar quickly, never being so grateful for his perfect pitch.
Without anymore holdups Luke began to play, plucking softly at the strings to create a melody that filled the air of your little apartment. His playing was like a siren call, pressing weights on your eyelids until you could barely stand to keep them open. You watched him while you could, admiring the way the faint light from the kitchen lamp made him look like an Adonis, his hair illuminated in gold and his features accentuated by the shadows. You couldn’t believe he was your boyfriend. Luke Patterson, heartthrob of Julie and the Phantoms was your dorky, adoring boyfriend who would make supermarket trips in the middle of the night for you. Who had your favourite ice cream memorised and your key attached to his, so he could come see you whenever he missed you (which was pretty much always).
Despite the various aches and pains that had overtaken your body, the only thing you could feel as you drifted off to sleep was the burning ball of light in your chest, a chemical mixture of joy and love and gratitude, overtaking your senses one by one until you were asleep, dreams filled of beautiful images of your boyfriend.
When you woke up the next morning, you figured out it wasn’t morning at all. Luke had evidently switched off your phone’s alarm after you’d fallen asleep, and it was well into early afternoon when you’d arisen. To his credit though, the sleep had done you some good, and you felt much less like walking death after an intense sleep.
You untangled yourself from the knit blanket, your feet wobbly on the hard wood floors. You had serious post-nap daze, and wandered through your flat looking for your boyfriend. The poorly made sheets on your actual bed told you where Luke slept last night — or this morning, more accurately — you smiled at the way he’d arranged your stuffed animals.
Stuck to the fridge under your New York City magnet was a note from Luke, explaining he had to go to rehearsal but he’d be back later to check on you. You pulled the paper off, travelling back to your room to put the note in your ‘Luke’ box, adding to the collection of notes and drawings he’d given you inconsequentially that you’d held onto.
As the afternoon ticked by you’d gotten onto your computer, figuring that although you were still ill you should try and get something productive done. You were armed with your box of tissues as you got started on an assignment you had due at the end of the week, and slipped your headphones on to get into the headspace.
You screamed as a pair of arms wrapped around you from behind, quickly dissolving into giggles as you realised it was only Luke, back from rehearsal.
“Your voice still sounds scratchy, baby, how are you feeling?” He asked, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“Better, promise. Tomorrow I’ll probably go to class if I get another good night’s sleep.”
“That’s my girl.” He grinned, and you felt your insides melting all over again. You closed the laptop, knowing you weren’t going to get much more done now that Luke was with you.
You spent the evening together, ordering in pizza from the place around the corner and getting slightly wine drunk as Luke told you all about his earlier rehearsal and the antics of his band. He sang you part of the new song he and Julie had written and you applauded dramatically, only stopping when you broke into a coughing fit.
“Wanna watch something?” He asked when you grew tired again, cuddling up to him like a cat.
“Barbie?” You asked hopefully, looking up at him with wide eyes. Luke sighed dramatically, but you knew he was just pretending not to like the animated movies you’d grown up on.
“Only if it’s Island Princess,” He offered and you nodded enthusiastically.
The two of you settled in for the movie night, Luke getting much more into the movie as it went on, as he always did. By the end you were singing duets — your voice considerably less pleasing than his, especially due to your illness — Luke taking on the role of the prince letting you be Ro.
As the credits rolled you felt your eyes closing again, and you felt eerily like you did as a younger girl, falling asleep on the couch after a Barbie movie. This was better though, because now you had Luke next to you. He’d taken his role as big spoon extremely seriously, and had all but become one with the couch, pressing into the back as he wrapped his arms around you tightly.
You shifted your position to face him, watching his face relax into contentedness as he tried to doze off to sleep. Feeling you watch him he cracked one eye open, mouth producing a dumb grin that made butterflies erupt in your chest.
“What?” He asked, but you got the distinct impression he knew exactly what you were thinking.
“Nothing,” You lied, but gave in easily, “You’re pretty.”
“You’re pretty too. Now go to sleep.” You nodded, pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth.
“Kay, goodnight Lukey. I love you.”
“Love you too, my girl. So much.” His answer was muffled by him pressing his face into your hair to pull you closer, but you couldn’t wipe the smile from your face even as sleep enveloped you.

Julie and The Phantoms Cast Masterlist

Julie and The Phantoms Characters Masterlist
New masterlist to split up the cast versus character fics that I’ve written because there’s so many oh my gosh.
✮ - personal fave
Charlie Gillespie - sfw
Rose Garden ✧ Charlie is your suitor, and if he gets his way, soon to be your betrothed. However, he won’t be if you have any say in the matter.
Down For the Count ✧ After a hard fall resulting in a bad injury, your boyfriend Charlie comes to the rescue to be your care taker at the same time as he has a Live with Owen.
Lucky Charm ✧ Meeting Charlie at the rink after hockey practice for date night leads him to take you to his favorite pizza spot, and gifts you an honor you can’t refuse.
Costume Department ✧ Your aunt is the JATP costume designer and one day whilst working on set, your talking with the girls of the cast makes you realize just how strong your feelings for Charlie are.
Tough Competition ✧ Savannah simulates a dance competition for you after learning you’ve never been in one, and your secret relationship with Charlie slowly surfaces to your cast mates.
Betrothed ✧ Evading love for so long has its consequences, but the resistance just might have paid off when you meet a certain prince who’s searching for his princess.
✮ Winners and Losers ✧ Charlie’s day off consists of spending time with his favorite girl, and making bets that he’s seemingly destined to lose.
Charlie Gillespie - nsfw
A Helping Hand ✧ Your best friend Charlie is shocked to hear you’ve been deprived of a certain sexual experience, and is more than willing to help fix that. (18+)

Everlasting Crushes ✧ Charlie has been your best friend since high school, and secret crush for just as long. When a drunken night in the club results in you getting friendly with strangers, Charlie steps in to claim his girl. (18+)
✮ Impressive ✧ Renowned hockey all-star Charlie Gillespie is a pleasant disaster on his own, but once he asks you to tutor him, you learn he might not be so bad after all. (18+)
Tempting ✧ Coming to an agreement on how your friends with benefits arrangement will work, Charlie invites you over for another study session that doesn’t isn’t very productive. (18+ sequel to Impressive.)
✵ - ✵ - ✵ - ✵ - ✵ - ✵
Owen Patrick Joyner - sfw
Dating Owen Joyner Would Include… ✧  Bullet points of boyfriend!Owen headcanons.
✮ Hey Princess ✧ Dating a Netflix star can be tough in the way of getting recognized in public, but being a Disney Princess just may give Owen a run for his money.
Party Hard ✧ Going from tipsy to full on drunk is a terrible idea, but especially when you’ve got a secret to hide that could mean the difference between preserving and ruining your relationship with your best friend.
Reading My Boyfriend’s Fanfiction?? ✧ Being an influencer meant this day was a long time coming: it was time to put Owen on your channel.
A Pretty Good Bad Idea ✧ Touring with the Julie and The Phantoms cast as a dancer has been the best time of your life, and the only thing that could make it better is the reciprocated affections of a cute, blond drummer.
They’re Not You ✧ You’ve been successful in avoiding and ignoring your romantic feelings for your best friend… so far.
Doomsayers ✧ Owen had to practically harass you to get you to relax on your mutual day off, but the quality time together takes an unexpected turn when you exhibit a small sense of self-doubt.
New Neighbors ✧ Whilst your two best friends are helping you move into your new place, you find out that your next door neighbor is a major cutie who is totally into you, too.
✮ Baby Fever ✧ You and Owen spend a day at the zoo babysitting Baby Shada, and her presence sparks conversation about adding a new presence of your very own.
✮ City Slicker, Cowboyfriend ✧ You’re starting to have doubts about moving all the way to Norman until a shopping trip to Ikea turns into the meet-cute you’ve been waiting for.
Mesmerizing ✧ Crashing at your best friend’s place after a shitty date for the third time causes some sexual tension to bubble to the surface.
Chocolate Cake ✧ Owen’s new place is finally mold free, and he’s invited you over to stay the night. Being petite has more disadvantages than advantages, two of which are a teasing boyfriend and large dog breeds.
Only Need Five ✧ Breaking up with your boyfriend proves difficult when he follows you to your after-breakup plans. Owen puts you at ease and performs a less than innocent song he wrote about your chemistry together. (Indirect sequel to Tell Me Your Favorite Song.)
Wrap Party ✧ Unconvinced Owen is crushing on you, you show up to the cast party ready to let loose with the girls. The night takes an unexpected turn the Owen claims to be the expert on date-nights.
✮ Lazy Day, Stupid Question ✧ You and Owen take a well-deserved lazy day nap together, before movie night in the Joyner-Gillespie household. After recalling a certain reddit post, you make a discovery about the ways of men.
Owen Patrick Joyner - nsfw
Pity Prom? ✧ After learning you’ve never attended a prom, Owen takes it upon himself to recreate the most magical dance you’ve ever had. (18+)
Tell Me Your Favorite Song ✧ Your inattentive boyfriend is falling inferior to a certain drummer from your AP Lit class, who gets to know you better inside and out. (18+)
Say No to This + Unbiased Source ✧ Being cast as Mariah Reynolds means you’ve got your work cut out for you, and to add to the pressure, Owen, your Alexander is exuding a sexual tension you’ve never seen before. Hopefully, no one notices.
✵ - ✵ - ✵ - ✵ - ✵ - ✵
Platonic!Cast
✮ Sculpin and White Claws ✧ Your ‘not-quite girlfriend’ has come over to yours, Charlie’s, and Owen’s shared apartment; your evening is disrupted by the energetic antics of two idiot boys in the other room.
The Best-Worst Day ✧ Bad days are manageable when Charlie and Owen are the best roommates a girl could ask for.

The One- Luke Patterson
Tumblr media
GIF: @gillespiecharlie
A/n: So I came up with this idea with the song 'He could be the one' by Hannah Montana and I know, but listen. You're saying some of the lyrics to Julie and your describing Luke, but you don't know that the boys are listening to the conversation. Feel free to listen to the song.
-Samantha
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your POV
I was in Julie's room waiting for her to come back into her room since she went to grab something. While I was waiting for Julie I couldn't help, but think of Luke. I can't really say much about when I first started liking him. Before my brain went any further I saw Julie walking in, which made me smile.
" Finally!" I said
She just let out a laugh and made her way to sit next to me. Once she got comfy she asked...
" So, what did you want to talk to me about?"
I looked down trying not to blush, but she saw a hint of red coming onto my cheeks.
" Ooh! Are we gonna talk about your crush on a certain ghost boy?" She teased
That just got me to cover my face. " Stop making it weird!" I whined in an embarrassment
" Y/n/n! I'm sorry. But I really want to know!" She said
I let out a sigh, before nodding. Once I was calm enough I started describing Luke in song form.
' Smooth talkin', so rockin',
He's got everything that a girl wantin',
Guitar cutie, he plays it groovy,
And I can't keep myself from doin' somethin' stupid,
Think I'm really fallin' for his smile,
Get butterflies when he says my name,'
I stop talking just to see Julie's reaction. She had such a huge smile on her face and told me...
" I want to hear more, keep going."
I let out a small giggle before saying more.
' He's got somethin' special,
He's got somethin' special,
And when he's lookin' at me,
I wanna get all sentimental,
He's got somethin' special,
He's got somethin' special,
I can hardly breath, something's tellin' me,
Tellin' me maybe he could be the one.'
Julie smiled and nodded...
" He definitely could be the one. Don't lose hope Y/n/n!"
I smiled and hugged her before continuing...
Luke's POV
The boys and I wanted to go hang out with the girls, but when we get to Julie's door we heard them talking about someone. I looked at the boys behind me if they are hearing this. They both nodded, and we all then just decided to listen to them gossip.
'He's lightin', sparks are flyin',
Everywhere I go he's always on my mind and,
I'm goin' crazy about him lately,
And I can't help myself from how my heart is racin',
Think I'm really diggin' on his vibe,
He really blows me away, hey!'
I was standing there shocked at what I'm hearing coming out of Y/n's mouth.
" Luke?" Alex whispered to me
I looked up to see him giving me a concerned look, which I just shrugged off.
" Dude! What's wrong?" Reggie whispered
I just shrugged him off too. I don't know why listening to her say this about me was getting to me so bad. It's not like I'm jealous cause I don't have any memory of liking her. Maybe I do if I feel jealous, but that's impossible, I'm a ghost it would never work. I was about to leave until I heard her talk again.
' And he's got a way of makin' me feel,
Like everything I do is perfectly fine,
The stars are aligned when I'm with him,
And I'm so into him.'
I looked down knowing that I could never give her what she wanted. Before Alex or Reggie coils say anything I left with a flash.
Your POV Right when I finished Julie was a giggling mess.
" You make it seem like you're really in love with Luke." she paused and then let out a gasp..
" Omg, you are so in love with him."
I looked down and blushed. " Yea, but it's not like we can ever be together."
I felt her wrap her arms around me. She started rubbing my back...
" Y/n/n! It's going to be okay. I know it doesn't seem like it will, but I have hope." She told me
I smiled at her and hugged her back until we decided to just sit around her room watching movies instead of facing the boys tonight.
Luke's POV
After I left the boys I made my way to the studio just so I could think this through.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was just messing around on my guitar when I heard the guys pop in. I looked up, but then back down at my guitar.
" Luke, how are you doin' man?" Alex asked in a gentle tone
I let out a groan. " Man, I don't know. I feel all kinds of emotions, but it's mostly just sad."
They both looked down. " Why are you feeling sad the most, Luke?" Reggie questioned
I shook my head...
" You want to know, it's because I have a crush on her, but it will never work because I;m not alive!"
They seemed surprised about my outburst, but I had to say it. I heard someone walk over to me. I could tell it was Alex onces I saw his shoes in front of me.
" Luke, I don't really know what you're going through since I've never been in this exact situation. But I'm always here for you man." He said
I looked up and gave him a sad smile. I then pulled him in for a much needed hug and I felt his arms go around me while I felt another set of arms go around me.
" Thanks guys." I quietly said
" Always Luke." Reggie said, while Alex just tightened his arms around me
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I really hope this is good, I really didn't know how to end it so feel free to ask me anything about it.
More coming soon and requests I promise. Thanks for all your lovely support and love, I am so grateful for all of you.
-Samantha
“That’s the fastest you can go, my mother can skate better than that!” Coach Johnson shouted at his team. Who were huffing and puffing deeply due to the amount of laps they had to do. You were never quite sure why you agreed to meet up with your best friend at the hockey rink across the other side of school. There was never much to look forward to…well that is if you counted the big sweaty jocks that wore padded gear and shoulder pads. Although you weren’t really all about that.
Alisa liked to gawk at them as they practiced their drills and skated across the ice. Correction: she liked to gawk and stare at her boyfriend. Alex McGee, a wholesome of six feet, brunette and the team’s best defense they had. You may not have liked to stare at the attractive specimens that walked the earth before your eyes, but you did have an appreciation for the sport. Hockey was no joke, the guys’ hard work always showed off during each game. Practice was a whole different story though.
Whereas Alice stared and drooled, you on the other hand. You liked to think that you were there for moral support. Yet you mostly just joined her to keep her company as you read your book that lay on your lap.
“Woo go Alex!” Alice cheered him on as he made a goal. The team was split up into two groups, one on defense and the other on offense. Alex was working on the offensive side. His coach wanted to see some improvement on his offense lineup, so his coach switched it up today.
You flinched at how loud she was being. You were hunched over on the bleachers freezing your butt off. Not to mention you were getting tired. Your head rested in the palm of your left hand as you read about areo-dynamics and quantum gravity.
-
“Showing off now cause your girl is here eh?” Charlie teased skating circles around Alex. “Does she know that you occasionally suck at practice?” He laughed.
“Oh fuck off, Gillespie.” Alex rolled his eyes and jerked his shoulder into Charlie's, knocking him slightly off balance.
“Oh come on you know I’m just messing with ya, eh?” Charlie caught up to him.
“Yeah, yeah, although you know…Y/n’s with Alisa today.” Alex smirked, nudging the smaller boy. Charlie immediately let his gaze fall to you. He could see you talking to Alisa through the clear screen that divided the ice from the bleachers. Then he looked away as if he wasn’t phased by you being here today.
“And?” He shrugged.
“And? Dude, come on.” Alex scoffed. “Don’t play dumb, you have a major crush on her.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m with Sage, remember.” Charlie brushed him off as he looked over to his on and off girlfriend, who sat alongside with her group of friends. He got into his position. His stick met the ice and his eyes grew determined. Alex in front of him copying his movements. The coach stood in the middle of them with a puck in his hands. He had said something but Charlie tuned him out.
“And how’s that working out for ya?” Alex countered back as he shoved his shoulder pad into Charlie, knocking the poor boy on his ass. Then stole the puck as soon as the coach blew the whistle. Whisking past Charlie to end up making a goal, again. Charlie groaned as he lay on the ice. “Not so great...” He muttered.
-
“Yeah! That was so good babe!” Alice exclaimed, hollering from her seat next to you. Alex smiled at her and pointed at her, letting her know that he scored for her.
You slowly lifted your head to look at her with raised eyebrows. Her smile didn’t die down. You had to laugh.
“You do know this is just practice right?” You giggled. You shook your head at your best friend who felt the need to go all out on a Friday nights practice.
“I know…” she shrugged. You raised an eyebrow at her. She turned her eyes to look at you.
“Shut up.” She pouted then laughed along with you.
“Hey I’m not judging…” You put your hands up to show her you meant well. “It’s sweet that you come to cheer him on during practice too.” You playfully nudged her.
“Almost as sweet as your crush on a certain someone.” She threw a smirk your way.
“What are you talking about?” You began avoiding the topic of the matter.
“You know what I’m talking about. Sexy five foot eight, Charlie. Every girl’s biggest crush at school, Charlie. Oh please oh please be my lab partner, Charlie!” She emphasized.
“Charlie? Captain of the hockey team, Charlie. The most likable and most popular guy at our school, Charlie.” When you got nervous you babbled a little…okay a lot.
“Yes!” She laughed.
“Yeah no, you’re crazy. Completely insane. I don’t have a crush on Charlie. What makes you think I like him? I don’t have uh...a crush on Charlie. Charlie doesn’t even know I exist. He doesn’t even know my name. Once I accidentally bumped into him in the hallways!” You pointed out. “I fell.” You nodded. “He didn’t really help me up, but he did acknowledge me.” You then made a face at the fact of how that sounded. “Oh wait…okay look whatever. He’s a jock, he’s popular, he’s cute…and I’m-” You took a deep breath in from talking too quickly.
“About to pass out!” Alisa looked at you with wide eyes as she handed you a water bottle to drink. You opened it hastily and took big sips. “One more mention of him and you’re sure to black out.” She teased. “Fan the girl!” Alisa grabbed a notebook and fanned you with it.
You swallowed the water down and put the cap back on. Your breath slowly calms down.
“When are you gonna get the guts to tell him?” She shook her head.
“Um…never.” You made a face. Alisa scoffed. “Lis come on, you know there’s no way on this earth that I’d even have a chance with him.” You nervously laugh. Alisa just sat there and gave you a knowing look. You avoided her gaze then looked out onto the ice where you saw his jersey number rush past his other teammates. “It’s not gonna happen. Besides he has a girlfriend, remember..” You muttered. You looked away from him then looked down at your book that was now closed. “I-I can’t talk to anyone. Let alone a guy.” Alisa sighed as she scooted closer to you. She wrapped her arm around you and let you lay your head on her shoulder.
“Well from what I’ve heard. Charlie’s thinking of breaking up with her, for good this time.” She shoved you to try and get you to lighten up. “And you can talk to guys…you’re just shy. Plus you get that cute little stutter when you get nervous. Not to mention how much of a clutz you are when you do talk to a cute boy. Oh not to mention the way you start going off about random facts about areo-dynamics of physics. It’s brilliant.” She laughed. “It’s all a work in progress baby!” She said sarcastically.
“Gee thanks Lis, I feel…so much better.” You lifted your head and squinted your eyes at her.
“That’s what I’m here for!” She smiled. “But hey, no seriously you’ll figure it out. You always do.” She pulled you into her side again and hugged you tightly.
“I don’t know about this Lis.” You played with your gloves. “It seems out of my capability.”
“Hey this is coming from the girl who created a physics project about figure skating, not to mention you figured out that there was an exact areo-dynamic formula. If you can do that, you can talk to a boy, and honestly, if Charlie can’t see how amazing you are. Then that’s his loss.” You slowly smiled at her words of encouragement. She always had the right thing to say. Whether it was in the form of sarcasm or straight up bluntness, or the whole truth, she made her point and she made you feel better.
“Lis you know the computer didn’t make the jumps for them, it was all-”
“-all them yeah, yeah I know. Still pretty impressive though…Oh, practice is over!” She beamed as she shot up from her seat. You turned to look out onto the rink and noticed that the team was gone. Probably back in the locker rooms changing out of their gear for the night.
“How long have we been talking?” You furrowed your brows as you reached for your book.
“Who cares! I’ll be right back okay. Don’t go anywhere.” Alisa stood up then walked.
“Where else would I go?” You questioned.
With that Alisa walked down the bleachers and made her way to the locker rooms to wait outside for Alex like she always did.
You sighed pulling your jacket closer to your body. You enjoyed being at the rink, but the cold was not your favorite. Yet the view was nice.
Heat rushed to your cheeks as you noticed Charlie talking to someone through the clear glass a few feet away from where you were sitting. You could barely make out their voices but you were able to tell that they had been arguing.
You looked down at your lap trying not to eavesdrop.
“Can I go?” Charlie tried moving past Sage, but was shoved back. She pushed him back by his shoulder.
“No, we need to talk about this.” Sage tried getting him to stop, but Charlie wasn’t having it.
“There’s nothing to talk about Sage.” Charlie laughed, shaking his head. “I don’t want to be with you anymore, what don’t you get about that?” He furrowed his brows. “I can’t keep doing this okay, it’s not…I can’t anymore Sage.” Charlie trailed off letting his arms fall to his sides. He looked worn out and tired. Sweat prominent on his face caused his dark brown hair to stick to his forehead. He looked off to the side trying to avoid Sage’s gaze and in the process of doing so he caught your gaze. As soon as she realized he was no longer staring at her. She turned around and noticed you staring at them.
“Ever heard of a privacy freak?” She replied nastily. You froze, eyes widening as she started talking to you. “Earth to dumbass, can you hear me?” You looked away from her as you started clumsily packing your book into your bag.
“Sorry. I uh. Sorry.” You grew so nervous and anxious, you ended up tripping over your feet as you rushed down the bleachers. Your shoe laces being untied causing you to hit the floor. Sage couldn’t help but laugh at you, catching the attention of her friends who sat not far from the three of you. You wanted nothing more than the floor to swallow you whole. You quickly got up feeling a sudden ache on your left leg. You hurriedly rushed past them and exited the ice rink.
“Y/n-” Charlie tried reaching out for you but you had run off so quickly, you didn’t hear him. His eyes fell to the floor where he saw your book. It must have fallen out when you fell. He picked it up then closed his eyes trying to control himself. He opened them back up and faced Sage who was smiling.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Charlie scowled. He turned around and started making his way to the locker rooms, no longer wanting to be in the presence of Sage.
“Charlie, we’re not done here.” Sage called after him, stepping down from the first step. ”I’m not done talking to you, we can fix this Charlie.”
“Yeah well I’m done talking to you Sage…It was nice knowing ya.” He nodded to her and turned around to continue walking.
“Fine then…” Sage crossed her arms. “It...It wasn’t working anyway!” Sage countered but Charlie was long gone by that point.
-
You didn’t know how long you had been waiting at the front steps of the school. Forty minutes closing in to almost an hour. Alisa was nowhere to be found and your leg was starting to hurt more than ever. Not to mention your jacket was doing little to almost nothing to provide you warmth.
Where are you, Lis?
You looked out into the parking lot. Only a few cars remained. You breathed out through your mouth causing a puff of air to come out. You sighed pulling out your phone, checking the time which now read ten fifty. You knew that she had her moments with Alex after his practices, but this time it felt like she wasn’t coming. You crossed your arms over your chest to try and get warm. It was too late to call your parents for a ride, and you knew walking would take forever, but you knew you had no other choice. You sighed again and picked up your shoulder bag. You flinched as you felt the pain shoot up your left leg. Some serious bruising was sure to be there by morning. You slowly stepped down the steps and started your trek home.
You found it to be a lot harder to walk, especially with the cold, but mostly due to the ache in your ankle. You were limping with each step you took forward. You didn’t know if you could actually make the walk home, but you knew that no one else was around so you chose to suffer.
“Hey Y/n, wait up!” You heard a voice call over your shoulder. You tensed up not thinking anyone would still be at school. You slowly turned around and felt your shoulders relax once you realized it had only been Charlie, which now made your heart rate pick up.
“Charlie?” You furrowed your brows as he jogged up to you. He was now clad in dark jeans, a light blue Henley with an orange flannel over it and his fur jean coat on top. No longer sporting the sweat he had during practice.
“Hey.” He gave you that perfect smile that made you all flustered and nervous. “Glad I caught you, Y/n.” He nervously laughed as he scratched the back of his neck.
“He knows my name.” You thought.
“Of course I know your name.” He chuckled.
“Did...Did I say that out loud?” Your eyes widened in fear.
“Afraid so.” He nodded.
“Oh…” That was all you could muster the courage to say.
Charlie on the other hand found your nervous state adorable, which caused him to smile again. “Anyway I just wanted to catch you and tell you that um…that I’m sorry about what Sage said.” He nervously smiled. “That wasn’t cool of her and it wasn’t funny. She shouldn’t have laughed at you.” He looked down then up at your eyes. He then reached around to open his backpack to get something out. “Also I-” He started but you cut him off.
“-Oh that! You...You don’t have to apologize Charlie, that wasn’t your fault it was my fault!” Charlie furrowed his brows in confusion at your words. “I’m such a clutz I don’t even know where…where my head is most of the time.” You started babbling again. “See I get nervous around people, mostly cute guys, but who doesn’t, amiright.” You laugh nervously. “You’re cute...a cute guy, and it doesn’t help my thought process at all! See Lisa thinks I have this problem talking to guys that I like, which I don’t think is true at all.” You quickly shook your head.
“You like-” Charlie smiled then was cut off again.
“-she also says I start babbling about areo-dynamics, but I don’t understand why she thinks I do that? Though I think she does have a point about me talking too much, once I start it’s kind of hard to shut me up. I-I could talk your ear off if you wanted me too, not that you’d probably want me to. I mean who wants to hear about areo-dynamics right? Although it is a very interesting topic to talk about.” Charlie just smiled and nodded as you kept talking. “Did you know that Physics actually plays a large role in both large and small aspects of figure skating. On a minimal level when a skater jumps into the air, it’s the force of gravity that pulls them back down onto the ice. Forces and energy are big components that factor into the success of a skaters routine and abilities. That’s why they’re able to do all these crazy tricks and turns. Half of the preparation for their jumps begins with gliding on the ice and picking up speed. Momentum...is always conserved, meaning that unless some outside force enters a system, its total momentum must stay constant, which means that the skater will continue to build and hold on to that speed they’re picking up while skating. I-It’s a form of kinetic energy, it’s used to propel the skater into the air so that they’re able to execute a flawless jump…it’s-” You got cut off by a pair of lips. Charlie had quickly cupped your face and kissed you roughly. You stood still then kissed him back. Your hands slowly land on his shoulders bringing him closer. Charlie’s hands now at your waist. When you pulled away you had to gasp for air slightly. Charlie took your breath away. You slowly opened your eyes and stared at him, your mouth agape.
“Did you just…you kissed me.” You muttered.
“Yeah I did.” He breathed out smiling.
“Charlie Gillespie just kissed me.” You couldn’t believe what just happened. “You just…you kissed me, kissed, we kissed.” You gulped. Heat quickly rushed to your face as you avoided his gaze. Charlie surely shut you up because you were rambling and talking too much. He must’ve thought you were a complete geek by now. “Was that your nice way of telling me to shut up?” Your eyes glowed with innocence in them. Charlie laughed a little at your question.
“Maybe I just really wanted to kiss you.” He shrugged and played coy. “Or maybe I did want to shut you up.” He teased you.
“Sorry.” You nervously chuckle.
“Don’t be sorry.” Charlie stepped closer and lifted your chin slightly to look at him. “It was cute.” He admitted. “But back to what I was trying to say.” He chuckled, teasing you causing you to smile. “I wanted to give this back to you.” He then pulled out your book and handed it over to you.
“My book?” You questioned.
“You dropped it by accident when you…you fell. I just wanted to make sure it got back to you.” Charlie pocketed his hands into his jeans slightly rocking on his heels.
“Thank you, Charlie.” You smiled gratefully at him. “I-I should probably get going now, it’s pretty late.” You gestured over your shoulder. You ended up stepping wrongly causing you to hiss out in pain. “Ow!” You grabbed your leg. Charlie rushed forward.
“You okay?”
“I’m fine, it's just my leg. I think I sprained it.” You scrunch your face in pain.
“Y/n you can barely stand on it.” Charlie frowned letting you lean on him for support. “Let me drive you home, okay.”
“No...” You held your hands out. “It’s okay Charlie I-”
“-You’re crazy if you think I’m letting you walk this late with a possibly sprained ankle.” Charlie shook his head. “Alisa would kill me.” He mumbled under his breath but you heard him.
“Why would she kill you?”
Charlie then stiffened up.
“Charlie?”
“Because...she asked if I could give you a ride home.” He looked down.
“She asked you?” You pulled away from him. Charlie grew hurt that you pulled away so quickly. “So she put you up this…did you really want to give me my book back, or?” You grew hurt at the thought that he might’ve only wanted to talk to you because of Alisa.
“Y/n it’s not like that okay. Alisa has nothing to do with this okay. I did want to talk to you. I do want to talk to you. I have for a while now.” Charlie nodded. He reached forward to grab a hold of your hands. “I wouldn’t do that to someone I like.”
“You like me?” You gaped at him.
“Was that kiss not obvious?” Charlie squinted his eyes and tilted his head. You ended up laughing.
“I don’t know...I think you were just trying to get me to stop talking, since you know, I do tend to talk way more than I shou-” Charlie chuckled, reaching forward to cup your face and kiss you again. You were more than happy to stop talking and let your lips mold together perfectly. You didn’t think someone’s lips could be so soft, feel so good, and taste so sweet. You smiled into the kiss as Charlie tugged you closer by the waist. You pulled back. “Okay I think I’m convinced now.” You nodded, feeling blissful and happy.
“You sure?” Charlie teased. “I can try and make it more obvious. I have other methods.” Charlie suggested. He smirked as he leaned forward to brush his lips against your ear causing a shiver to run up your back.
“Oh.” Your eyes widened. “Maybe I can just talk your ear off again.” You bit your lip. “I have enough knowledge to share that will last you a lifetime. Did you know that stars die every-”
“Nope shhh.” Charlie cut you off placing his lips on yours again.
“But I-” You began.
“No.” Charlie pecked you sweetly. “No.” He shook his head.
“Fine, but one day you’re gonna need to know about how stars die, and you’re gonna end up regretting not letting me tell you.”
Charlie pondered the idea for a second then brushed it off. “No, I don’t think I will.” He smiled. “Come on, let's get you home now.” He let you lean on him as you walked forward with your good leg.
“Oh!” You exclaimed half way to his jeep. “I know about hockey!”
“No, Y/n no!” Charlie protested.
“Did you know that the first organized hockey game played indoors, which just so happened to occur in eighteen seventy-five, in Montreal, Canada.” You smiled at Charlie who looked just about ready to let you walk home.
“Did not know that…”
“Also the first puck used during outdoor hockey in the eighteen hundreds was made of frozen cow dung. Way to go Charlie, that’s an innocent cow you’re hitting around.” You said sarcastically.
“Alright that’s it!” Charlie chuckled as he picked you up bridal style and carried you the rest of the way to his car.
“I kind of like this.” You approved as you patted his chest with your glove.
“I will drop you.” Charlie warned, eyeing you.
“Ooh I know, we can discuss ways to efficiently improve your speed while on the ice. I’m thinking…Longer skating strides which will widen your strides. For acceleration, nothing compares to short off-ice sprints, you could use the improvement, so can Alex…Let’s see, are you using the right equipment? Less equipment use will mean for you to be faster during practices. Your workouts should incorporate explosive movement of your body. It’s about building strength, not slowing down the process.” You squint your eyes trying to think about what else you knew. “Are you eating alright?” You looked up at Charlie who was staring at you with his mouth agape and disbelief.
“Did you just call me slow?” He gaped at you with furrowed brows.
“No...” You looked away.
“Uh huh.” Charlie rolled his eyes.
“Oh I know!”
“No!” Charlie finally got to his car and gently set you down. Just as you were about to speak again he pulled you into a rough slow kiss. This one lasting longer. “Shut up…” Charlie gasped for air before taking your lower lip and biting into it.
“I’ll shut up now...” You breathed out, closing your eyes, feeling dizzy.
Saving sharks with Gillespie (charliexreader)
A/N: So this is a follow up story to my Gillespie campingtrip fic. This one is again a little different from what i usually write cause this has also some spicy stuff in it. I hope you’ll enjoy! :) Summary: Charlie gets invited to come on a mare nostrum trip in the Galapagos and of course he asks you to come..  Warnings: Mature content (Overall just fun fluff but there's some smut.) Wordcount: around 2500
Tumblr media
It's a Wednesday evening and Charlie and I are chilling on my couch in my appartment. He's sitting up while my head is resting on his lap and I'm laying on the couch with Charlie's arm draped over me. We're not doing anything special, just chatting about our day and cuddling. Something we had done almost every night since we had come back from our camping trip a few months ago..
Tonight seemed to be nothing special until suddenly Charlie's phone starts to ring. The conversation isn't giving me any clues on who he's talking to but I can tell he's getting more and more excited the longer the phone call lasts. Finally he ends the call and I look up at him with a raised eyebrow. "What?" He asks me. "What was that about? You were getting pretty excited about whatever they were saying.." by the look on his face I can tell he's debating if he should go the serious or the teasing route. But then pure excitement takes over "okay.. so you know how I've been talking to this Mare nostrum foundation right?" I simply nod in response "okay so the founder just called me and they invited me to come on a trip with them.. I'm gonna save actual sharks Babe!" His excitement is contagious and I can't help but grin up at him. " I'm so happy for you Char! That's soo cool!" His face is absolutely beaming " RIGHT! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG AND.." he closes his mouth and opens it again to continue rambling but then closes it again and i can tell his ADHD mind is taking over and he jumps up causing me to fall off the couch." YOU SHOULD COME WITH ME! PLEASE COME WITH ME? YOU'LL LOVE IT!" i laugh "umm first of all.. ouch.. and second of all  i don't know Gillespie.. I think I need a little more convincing.. sharks are pretty intense you know.." he smirks and takes a step towards me,understanding the assignment. He picks me up from the ground, grabs my butt and gives it a squeeze while pressing me against his body and kissing me. "Remember our last trip? I promise you I'll be even better to you this time around." The sound of his voice gives away what he's hinting at and it's making me blush. "Hmm.. even better? How can I say no to that?" I say right before kissing him again.
It’s now 2 months later and the day of our trip is finally here. Charlie has not been able to shut up about it and the amount of ocean-related documentaries he made me sit through can not be counted on two hands and honestly? i loved it. I think the past two months, seeing him so passionately made me love him even more and I couldn't wait to see what actually being there would do to him. I was ripped away from my own thoughts by my over excited boyfriend that came into the room practically bouncing up and down. “Are you done packing? Are you ready to go?!” I laugh and walk over to him and take his hands in mine.  “Yes Charlie, I'm ready. are you?” instead of answering my question with words he grabs all the bags and runs out of my apartment only to run back in a minute later. “THE CAR IS PACKED, LETS GO BABE!” i shake my head “Can you calm down just a tiny bit? If no. hand me the keys Gillespie cause i’m not letting your inner hyper kid drive us.” “BUT..” i cut him off “No buts, answer my question” “sheesh.. can you stop acting like my mom?” “I don’t know.. Can you be calm enough to drive us safely?” he takes a deep breath and visibly calms down though the spark of excitement never left his eyes“ You do realize my ADHDmind is always going 340938490 miles per hour right? Yes i can drive us safely.” I smile and kiss his cheek “Yeah i know. i just had to get you to calm down just a tiny bit.” He gives me a thankful smile knowing i was right and it was all coming from a place of love he then took my hand and together we got in the car starting the journey to the airport and then the Galapagos.
The trip went very smoothly and when we landed in the galapagos there was a guy to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. It was already late in the evening when we arrived so we went straight to bed. In the morning i’m woken up by the first bit of sunlight coming into our room. The first thing I see is Charlie still peacefully asleep next to me and as my eyes adjust to the light I'm taking in our room, the second my eyes land on the doors to our balcony. I'm wide awake curious to see what the Galapagos actually look like. Careful not to wake Charlie i get out of bed and quietly try to open the doors to the balcony. The second i step outside i’m stunned by the views. It's so peaceful, there’s so much beautiful nature to explore and of course.. the ocean is right there. I never really appreciated all those things, hell the ocean was just a bit of water to me but that all changed when Charlie started to share his passion and knowledge with me. Now i understood how important the ocean and it’s life are to us and also learned how badly we’re treating it.. suddenly there are two strong arms around my waist and lips on my neck right below my ear. “hmm good morning to you too” i say while sinking into his hold. “You were lost in your own thoughts weren’t you?” His voice was still thick and raspy with sleep, a sound that had quickly become my weakness and every time I heard it made me feel all kinds of things. I close my eyes for a second trying to compose myself “I guess i was.. I was just taking in our surroundings. It’s so breathtakingly beautiful.” Charlie doesn't really say anything but continues to hold me and rests his chin on my shoulder.. “absolutely beautiful indeed” he eventually whispers. We just stand there like that for what feels like forever until the phone of our room rings, our wake up call, it was time to get ready and come down for breakfast with everyone involved in this Mare nostrum trip.
During breakfast we’re talked through the activities of the day and Charlie is clearly living his best life. We’re mostly gonna be on a boat today and we’re actually gonna be allowed into the water too, they assure us, or mainly me (cause my boyfriend is too excited to care), that we will be safe and they will make sure it stays that way. We finish our breakfast and only 2 hours later we’re on a boat and had just gotten into our wetsuits. I then and there decided a wetsuit was suddenly one of my favorite outfits on Charlie.. it really sculpted every detail of his body and showed off just how much he had been working out.. needles to say he looked amazing. and apparently he caught me looking at him. a smirk appears on his face as he walks over to me and teasingly whispers in my ear “ Good thing we’re gonna be in the water soon so no one will notice you’re drooling” i hit his arm “Oh shut up Gillespie'' making him laugh and he then gently slaps my butt. “Hey. That goes for me too. You’re looking insanely good right now..”  We get strapped into diving gear and after a quick lesson we’re diving in the Galapagos, seeing the most beautiful coral reefs, all kinds of fish and even sharks from a distance. It was an experience I would never forget and hopefully one Charlie and I would get to come back to. I was the first to get out of the water but Charlie soon followed, the wetsuit now actually being wet seeming to cling to his body even more, his long hair perfectly falling down, the shiny wet skin.. I felt my heart skip a beat, automatically i swallow and then my mouth starts to dry up. Seeing Charlie like that, in his element going on and on about everything he saw.. it was a massive turn on and if it wasn't for the entire mare nostrum-crew being there i would have jumped him right then and there. One of the crewmembers comes up to me and tells me i can change out of my wetsuit if i want, there’s no need to tell me twice i needed this thing off, i needed my airy, summer clothes back, i needed air in general and most of all, i needed to get away from the sight of Charlie for just a second. I rush off to the room where i changed into the wetsuit, close the door and the second I begin the struggle of unzipping myself there’s a knock on the door. “Yes?” I ask. There’s no answer but the door opens quickly and closes again just as quick. Of course he had noticed me rushing off. “ Are you okay babe?” not wanting to give anything away or keep him from those people longer than needed i just smile and nod “Yeah i’m good. Just felt like getting back into my own clothes, that’s all. Go back out there, I'll be there soon.” Totally ignoring what i just said, he closes the gap between us. immediately finding my butt again and pressing his lips hard on mine. “Let me help you..” he mumbles against my lips in between kisses while his hands roam up my back and find the zipper to slowly unzip me. “Charlie you should..” i try to half stop him, while wishing he’ll continue. but he stops me by kissing me again “You didn’t think i would just let you get out of this suit did you?”  "i.. what?" By this time I'm fully unzipped and his hands are on the bare skin of my back pulling me closer to him t kiss my cheek and then kiss up to my ear and down my neck. Through the thin, thight fabrics between us I can feel him getting hard and that's the last thing I needed to completely lose it. My hands are now all over his body and find the zipper of his suit as fast as they possibly can. There's no taking it slow. I wanted this thing off and I wanted it now! The second I fully unzipped his suit I start tugging on it trying to get it off, getting frustrated when it's not working with me. Charlie notices and lovingly takes my hands " hey, calm down.. here I'll help you" he says while pulling down his own suit, revealing his bare muscle-y chest. "Thank you" i quickly say before attacking his lips again, letting my hands trace every muscle. I slowly kiss my way down from his mouth , to his neck, chest , stomach and his hips. Pulling the suit further down and letting his hard-on spring free as i fully help him out of the suit I'm now on my knees in front of him. I look up at him and he's looking down at me, eyes filled with anticipation of what I'm about to do. Getting a little closer I plant kisses up his thigh and lower stomach. Teasing him by getting so close but not actually touching him. I decide to tease him just a little bit longer and get up again, making Charlie groan “You’re such a fucking tease”. i step closer to him, and quickly kiss his lips “I know” i tell him with a smirk and then unexpectedly grab him, making him hiss slightly and moan as I give him a handjob. Not long after he’s tugging my suit down a little more and sliding his hand in there, letting his fingers touch my clit making me moan just as much. We share a long passionate kiss until Charlie breaks it, taking his hand out of my wet suit and kneeling in front of me to fully take it off me. Then without saying anything picks me up and lays me down on top of a table in the room. At first he climbs on top of the table and then on top of me, hovering over me. His voice low and deep when he begins to talk “You were looking so fucking good in that suit.. i wanted to rip it off of you the second i first saw you.. and then you decided to tease me, and jerk me off so good.. i need to, no i want to.. i mean.. please let me fuck you?” His voice and those words made me forget about where we are , made me forget we should probably be careful, in my mind it was just me and him and no one else, no crew that could walk in at any time.. all i knew is that i wanted him. i grab his hair pulling him down to kiss him and whisper in his ear “Please do..” Kissing his way down my body he gets off the table, pulling me to the edge of the table, gently spreading my legs and aligning himself with me before carefully sliding into me “Fuck” i whisper “Feeling okay?” He asks and i just nod.”Perfect”. With this confirmation Charlie begins to move, starting off slowly but quickly picking up the pace into a pleasant rhythm. our breaths are getting heavier and our moans are getting louder both clearly getting close to our orgasm. He slows down and instead thrusts into me hard and deep hitting all the right spots making me shiver and reach my high making him follow right after. He collapses on top of me and after a minute climbs back on the table taking me in his lap to just cuddle me while we both come down from our high.
“I think we should get ourselves some wetsuits..” he says breaking the comfortable silence and i laugh “yeah? I’ll keep this in mind for your birthday.” He smirks “Oh you’re gonna treat me to another round of this on my birthday?” i playfully hit him “ we’ll see about that Gillespie.” We share another kiss and i’m suddenly reminded of where we are. “Uh.. Charlie? Don’t you think we should get back out there? i think they may be missing us..” Charlie and I end up getting dressed and joining the Mare nostrum crew on the deck again, and while i’m feeling a little awkward, being sure everyone knew what we just got up to Charlie doesn't seem to feel that way at all and easily steps right back into his previous conversation like nothing had happened..
You’ve been on your couch, determined to finish your second playthrough Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Even though you’ve played the game once through already, you still have issues solving the puzzles and figuring out where key items are. You’ve done both runs guide-free.
It’s been a few hours and you’ve just gotten to the section where you’re running around the ship as Mia Winters as she sees visions of Evelyn, the bioweapon disguised as a little girl she was hired to escort from one place to another. You’re deep into the game, only three hours or so more to go.
It’s close to one in the morning when there’s a knock on your apartment door. You pause the game and get up to answer the door.
A disheveled Charlie Gillespie stands in your doorway, hair and clothes soaked. His eyes are red so you know he’s been drinking. He’s shaking, probably from it being only about fifty degrees outside and raining.
“You’re going to catch a cold, Charlie,” you say. “Come in, before you do.”
Charlie silently walks inside. You shut the door behind him. He’s stumbling around a little bit, more drunk than you thought he was.
Slightly concerned, you ask, “How did you get here? You better not have driven, Gillespie.”
Your closest friend says, “I’m drunk, Y/N. Not dumb. I know not to drink and drive.”
You walk into your bedroom, grabbing a t-shirt and pair of sweatpants that Charlie has left at your apartment. You throw them at Charlie and say, “Go change into this while I go make you a cup of coffee. Cream and sugar?”
He nods and walks into the bathroom that’s in the hallway leading to the two bedrooms and the doorway leading into the kitchen. You walk into the kitchen, brewing a cup of coffee while Charlie changes.
There are footsteps that comes down the hallway and into the kitchen. “Um,” Charlie’s voice says. “The t-shirt was a little too tight.” You turn and look back at Charlie, who stands shirtless in a pair of black sweatpants that hang a little low on his waist.
“How much have you had to drink, Charlie?” you ask curiously.
Charlie thinks for a second before saying, “Six tequila shots, four Fireball shots, five Jell-O shots, and two Bloody Marys.”
Your eyes widen and you say, “Jesus, Charlie. That’s a lot of strong alcohol.”
He smiles at you and says, “Well, blame Owen and it being his 21st birthday. He wanted to get wasted so I got wasted with him so he wouldn’t be alone in being wasted.”
The cup of coffee is done being brewed and you put sugar and cream in the mug before handing it to Charlie. You walk into the living room, and Charlie follows you like a lost puppy.
“You didn’t need to take that many shots, plus the two Bloody Marys you had,” you tell him, sitting on the couch. “There’s a line when getting drunk, Charlie. You’re way past that line.”
Your best friend says, “You’re not my mom, Y/N. You don’t need to lecture me. I was careful and didn’t drive here even though it’s only a few blocks.”
Charlie sits beside you and you say, “You’re lucky you didn’t drive over here or else I would definitely be lecturing you.”
He laughs and sips his coffee as you begin to play Resident Evil. He watches you play and continues to shiver. You’re in the middle of a massive boss fight, the last boss fight, when Charlie asks, “Can you warm me up?”
“There’s a blanket right before you,” you tell him, practically spamming the trigger button on your PlayStation 4 remote.
After a moment of silence, he says, “I mean you, Y/N. Cuddles, I want cuddles.”
While in the middle of the fight, you say,  “I can’t believe you’re asking for cuddles in a time like this.”
You glance over at Charlie and see a pout on his face. He’s still shaking a bit. You give in pretty much immediately, pausing your game until you’re both comfortable. Your legs are thrown over his lap and your arms are wrapped around Charlie’s neck. His arms are wrapped around your waist, holding you close to him.
When you’ve beaten the game for the second time, you put the controller on the coffee table in front of you. Charlie looks down at you and says, “Thank you for taking care of drunk me. I know I can be a lot to deal with when drunk.”
“Well, I care for you, Charlie,” you tell him. “You’re my best friend.”
Charlie blinks at you and asks, “Have you ever thought of us as maybe being more than friends?
Shocked by his question, you stammer, “I, um, have you?”
He hesitates for a second before he nods. “Sometimes,” he admits. “Like when I’m drunk because that’s the only way I have the courage to tell you how I really feel about you, Y/N.”
You blink at him, shocked that your best friend just pretty much admitted his feelings for you. “Charlie-” you start, but he cuts you off by capturing your lips with his. You gasp, surprised, but you return his affection and lightly kiss him back.
You’d be lying to yourself if you didn’t feel a little something for Charlie. You probably always have, but you’ve been too afraid to do anything in fear of ruining your friendship with Charlie.
After a few moments of soft kisses, Charlie pulls back and cups your face in his hands. You meet his hazel eyes as he says, “I love you. Like, I’m in love with you, Y/N. I think I have been for a while.”
“You’re drunk, Charlie,” you tell him. “Tell me when you’re sober.”
Charlie smiles and says, “I’ll just have to tell you in the morning then.”
You teasingly say, “I never said you can stay the night, Charlie.”
With a laugh, Charlie says, “I’m staying. I’ll sleep on the couch but I’m staying because I’m too tired and too drunk to go back to my apartment.”
“Fine,” you say to your best friend. “Stay on the couch. You’re not allowed in my bed. Not yet, anyway.” You wink and get up.
He smiles at you and says, “Goodnight, Y/N.”
After leaning down and pressing another soft kiss to his lips, you say, “Goodnight, Charlie.” Charlie watches after you as you walk down the hallway to your bedroom. You close the door and lean against it, a huge smile on your lips.
Everything is about to change, and you’re ready to embrace it.
-Chapter One- Teacher!Charlie Gillespie x Single!Mom!Reader
Tumblr media
(Not My Gif)
This Story Was INSPIRED By @boyfriendskywalker Who Deactivated Their Account While Writing The Charlie Gillespie Kindergarten Teacher Story. I Have Taken It Upon Myself To Write My Own Version With Some Of The Storyline They Used. So, ALL Credit For Part Of The Storyline Goes To Them. This Will Be A Series, And I Will Finish It.
Description: Just Read It While I Try To Come Up With One--GOT IT! Okay, so Y/N L/N is a single mother of her daughter Y/D/N. Having it been four years since the father walked away. Y/N taught herself to never trust a man, but when Y/D/N’s teacher uses his charm to worm his way into her life, will she finally be able to open herself up to love again?
Warnings: Language, mentions of pregnancy, mentions of mental abuse, and as the story goes on I’ll think of more. But, be prepared for some angst.
Tumblr media
-Chapter One-
“One, two, three, four--”
“Mama?” Y/N looks down at the doe-eyed 5 year old. “Why are you counting?”
With a head shake, she presses her fingers onto her temples, gently massaging them. “Mama’s just tired, baby,” she explains, calmly. “And has a migraine.” Now flashing her daughter, Y/D/N, a fake smile, she starts the car. “Are you ready for school? Not gonna cause trouble again… Are you?”
“I don’t cause trouble!” Y/D/N argues, lightly kicking the back of the passenger seat. “My classmates also cause trouble, I just resolve it differently than others.” She crosses her arms with a huff.
Y/N furrows her eyebrows at her daughter's words. “Are you sure you’re five?”
“I like to say I’m six,” she says, casually.
The seriousness of the young girl’s demeanor was enough to make Y/N fall into a fit of laughter. “Well alrighty then. Six it is.” She pulls into a parking space. “We are here,” she announces, unbuckling her seat belt.
“Finally!” Y/D/N wrestles to get out of her car seat. “Could you help me out?”
Y/N gets out of the car, rushing to grab her majesty from the backseat. “Do you have everything?” she asks, setting Y/D/N down on the pavement.
Y/D/N shrugs, but resorts to saying, “Yes.”
“Good.” Y/N takes Y/D/N’s hand, guiding her into the colorful building they both grew to love and hate.
“Ms. L/N,” a female teacher says, only giving a stiff nod towards the women.
“Mrs. Winchester,” she replies mimicking the gesture. Both her and Y/D/N shiver when she passes by. “She scares me.”
Y/D/N nods dramatically, agreeing. “I think she’s a ghost,” she stage-whispers.
“Definitely.” Though Y/N’s tone might’ve been teasing, she wouldn’t be surprised if she actually was.
“Hello Y/D/N!” Another young female teacher waves before meeting Y/N’s eyes. “Ugh…” She continues to walk without giving Y/N a proper greeting.
“Good morning to you too,” she mumbles under her breath.
Only a couple more awkward encounters were experienced until she heard the loud shrill of-- “Mr. Gillespie!” Y/D/N lets go of Y/N’s hand, sprinting towards the man that she called her teacher.
“Good morning Miss Y/D/N!” he greets verbally, along with a big hug. “And look who’s with you.” He moves from his crouched position to stand as tall as he could next to Y/N. “Good morning, Y/N.”
“Good morning, Mr. Gillespie,” she responds. “Nice to feel welcomed.” Her tone turned a little colder than what it was. “I swear it was either just someone saying my name, or a judgement glare.”
“You’ll warm up to them,” he assures.
“Like I warmed up to you?” she questions. “Don’t put me under the impression that you actually like me, please, it’ll just blow my ego right out of proportion.” She uses her hands to demonstrate.
He doesn’t respond, only showing her a bright smile.
The bell rings, signaling both of them to go their separate directions. “Mr. Gillespie the bell rang,” a student calls out.
Y/N snaps out of her little daze. “And I guess Y/D/N already went to her seat. See? I knew she wasn’t that much of a troublemaker, but you know--” she cuts herself off seeing his amused expression. “You have to teach,” she blurts. “Right! Sorry, I’ll let you get to that. Bye Y/D/N!” she shouts into the filled room, Y/D/N’s face going into a look of horror. “Love you, stay safe and…” She salutes Charlie. “Good luck.” With a turn on her heel she goes to leave the building, mentally face palming herself on the way.
When in the safe space of her car, she allows her head to fall forward, which only led to her accidentally setting the horn off. It wasn’t like she’s not used to people. With being a hostess at a restaurant, all she did was talk, see, and meet a variety of different personalities and personas. But, after having to raise a daughter on her own you can say her cool way of talking, and the ability to form well rounded sentences went downhill. Baby talk does that.
“So, what you’re trying to tell me is that you like your daughter’s hot teacher?” her friend, Madison, asks. Madison was a little bit younger than Y/N was, Madison being seventeen and Y/N being twenty-four, she couldn’t help but bond with the girl.
“That’s not what I said,” Y/N remarks, wiping down a table.
“Then why are you blushing?”
“Because you’re embarrassing me!” Y/N whines.
“And I’m the teenager,” Madison snickers.
Y/N blows some of her hair out of her face. “I won’t deny that he’s… Decent looking, but the problem is in the question. ‘Daughter’s teacher’,” she repeats the words Madison said earlier.
“You told me that Y/D/N can’t get enough of what you only call ‘Mr. Gillespie’, I don’t even know his first name.” She scrunches up the right side of her face.
“Because it’s informal.”
“He calls you by your first name,” Madison replies back, bluntly. “But, back to the point. If Y/D/N really likes him then what’s the problem?”
Y/N stops her movements, giving Madison a blank stare. She opens her mouth to answer, but closes it. “I just can’t, okay? Can we please drop it?”
Madison’s eyes soften when seeing Y/N’s pleading ones. “Yeah, sure.” She leans against one of the tables.
“Hello!” someone calls out from a few feet away. “We’ve been standing here for like ten minutes, can we be seated?” The annoyance on the man's face was evident.
Y/N sends Madison a cheeky smirk. “You’re on, Mads.”
She stomps her foot, discreetly, going to the group of people who are most likely ‘hangry’. Y/N glances at her watch, seeing how it was about time she headed out for her break and got Y/D/N from school, only to have the last minute babysitter she found that morning watch her for the rest of the day, so Y/N can finish her shift. It wasn’t the most ideal schedule, but it worked. It paid the bills, it put food on the table--could it be the reason Y/D/N throws fits, and tantrums in classrooms, and seeks attention? Maybe.
“We need to set up a meeting.”
Y/N gapes at Mr. Gillespie who for the first time she’s seen with a stern look on his face. “Wh-why?” she stutters.
“I know you aren’t blind to see that Y/D/N is…” His voice fades off. “The Principal wants to set up a conference with you, me, Y/D/N, and the counselor after school one of these days.”
Y/N’s frown gets wider, glancing over towards Y/D/N in the seat next to her. The girl only kept her eyes glued to her shoes. “The only days I’m off of work are Saturdays, Sunday’ and Wednesdays.” She pulls out her phone, scrolling through the calendar. “Yeah, only those days, I don’t know if any of those days would work but…”
“You work all those other days?” He raises an eyebrow at her.
“Yeah,” she answers, not thinking too much about it. She gasps loudly, when it hits her. “Work!” She looks at her watch. “I’m gonna be late going back.” She stands up. “I’ll send you an email tonight on what time works best for me, and then you as a faculty can talk amongst yourselves if it works for you. I’m gonna take my kid now, and go, so I don’t have to keep being stared at with that look you and all the other teachers give me.” She takes Y/D/N’s hand, the slight pull of it noticeable enough to have Y/N make a mental note.. “Have a nice rest of your day, Mr. Gillespie.
“Bye, bye,” Y/D/N finally whispers towards him. With a weak wave they both leave the room, once out of sight running for the door. “Why were we running?” she asks, when Y/N starts to speed to their house.
“Because Mama’s gonna be late to work, and is now stressed because we have to talk to adults who don’t like her very much,” she pauses. “You and I need to have a very, very, serious conversation when I get back home on where your behavior is coming from.”
“But, I don’t wanna,” Y/D/N cries.
“I know you don’t want to, I don’t want to, but it’s one of the cons of being a parent, I have to be strict at times when you don’t follow the rules.”
“But--”
“Don’t make me yell at you,” Y/N warns. “You and I both hate yelling when you’re in trouble, so I think we’d both appreciate it if you promise to be good until I’m back, no arguing.”
Y/D/N slowly feels the tears come to her eyes. “Mr. Gillespie never yells at me.”
The name made Y/N freeze a little. Was he a part of the reason?
Charlie always thought people were crazy when they used to list things they loved about their partners, maybe because he never fell in love as hard as he did for the girl sleeping peacefully, tangled in the sheets, and wearing nothing but his t-shirt. He kissed her shoulder before leaving the room, ready for his morning run.
He knew very well she’d still be fast asleep once he came back with breakfast, even if that meant coming back in almost an hour. And Charlie was right. When he came back an hour later, with sweat glistening his skin and the bagels he bought for breakfast, his girlfriend was still sleeping, and he let out a chuckle when he saw the nest made of pillows she always made in her sleep whenever she was sleeping on her own.
That was one of the little things she did that he completely loved. It was as if she needed to feel something holding her in her sleep, especially if he wasn’t sleeping next to her. They would cuddle before they fell asleep, but even if she wasn’t in his arms the whole night, somehow they always were touching each other in their sleep. It could be their hands, a foot, or their backs, but they were always close.
After a quick shower, he sat next to his sleeping girlfriend, caressing her arm to wake her up.
“Good morning, Sleeping Beauty,” he said in a soft voice when the girl stretched out, opening her eyes slowly.
“Morning, Charlie,” Y/N said, her voice laced with sleep, “Are you going for a run?”
“I already went for a run, my love,” the boy laughed softly, “I got us breakfast, so get your pretty ass out of bed, because I’m starving.”
“I’ll be right there, honey,” she smiled at him and rubbed her face against the pillow one last time before getting up.
Charlie handed her a warm cup of coffee, pointed to the bagels on the table. Y/N picked the one she thought was hers, knowing her boyfriend preferred the one with the beacon.
“This smells so damn good,” Charlie heard her say, and when he looked at her, she was sneakily sniffing the bagel.
And that was one of the little things Y/N did that he found adorable. Every time she had to eat or drink something, she’d smell it slightly, as if she wanted to find out the flavors beforehand.
“Who said that one was yours?” Charlie questioned jokingly just before she took the first bite. Y/N furrowed her eyebrows and put the bagel down.
“But you always order the one with avocado and tomato for me, baby,” she pouted and Charlie laughed. He got closer to the girl and pecked her lips.
“I was messing with you,” he clarified.
“What do you have to do today?” Y/N asked, before taking a sip of her coffee.
“I have an interview in like an hour,” he checked his phone with a grimace, “I should probably start getting ready. Do you have to go to the office?”
“No, but I need to catch up on some work,” Y/N answered with a shrug, “Other than that, I guess I’m just gonna chill here.”
“Lucky you,” Charlie stuck his tongue out playfully.
Later that day, when Charlie came back to Y/N’s apartment, he found her sitting on the floor with her chin resting on one of her knees. She always was sitting in the weirdest positions, and then she’d complain about back pain or having pins and needles in her legs. He thought it was cute because it was her way of finding the best position to concentrate on her work.
“You’re gonna end up with back pain, my love,” Charlie warned her and sat on the floor next to her, “I missed you.”
“I missed you too, Char,” the girl said, turning her attention to the hazel-eyed boy. She laced her fingers behind his neck and pulled him closer, rubbing their noses together before pressing her lips to his in a welcoming kiss.
“I love you, you know that, right?” Charlie murmured against her lips. She hummed in response and he kissed her again.
“I love you too, baby,” she whispered back.
They sat there in silence, while she finished with whatever project she was working on, and once she turned off her laptop, Charlie put on a movie.
“Are we gonna make the effort to cook dinner or do you wanna order something?” He asked, making himself comfortable on the couch and patting the spot next to him, inviting her to join him.
“I’m in the mood for pizza,” she told him and cuddled up next to her boyfriend.
“Five minutes and I’ll call,” Charlie mentioned, wrapping his arms around Y/N and holding her tight against him. Her hair tickled him right in the nose, and he could smell the soft fragrance of her shampoo. “Is it mango or lemon?” He questioned after a while, grabbing a strand of her hair.
“Mango, do you like it?”
“Yeah! it smells great, babe.” Charlie pressed a kiss on top of her head and then struggled a bit to get hold of his phone.
After a quick call to the pizza place they always ordered from, they stayed on the couch, enjoying being in the arms of the other. It was small moments like that one, a movie playing on the tv, but their attention fixed on each other. Charlie loved to hear her laugh every time he tickled her or the funny faces she made whenever he faked pushing her off the couch.
“Pizza’s here!” She chirped when the ring bell resonated through the apartment, standing up quickly and making her way to the door.
“Do you want wine or beer?” Charlie asked, walking to the kitchen.
“Wine,” Y/N put the pizza box on the counter and pointed to the small wine cabinet, “my mom sent me one the other day and she said it was perfect for pizza and pasta.”
“No plates, babe,” Charlie mentioned when he saw his girlfriend trying to reach a couple of plates, “that way we only have to wash the glasses.”
“You’re getting lazy, Gillespie,” Y/N teased the boy, but did as he told her.
With a new movie playing on the tv, pizza, and a bottle of wine they sat again on the couch, bickering over small things like Charlie muttering the dialogues because he knows all the lines or the fact that Y/N can’t sit still while watching a movie.
“If you kick me one more time, Y/N,” he warned her, putting his glass of wine on the coffee table before she could make him spill it on the couch.
“I didn’t do it on purpose,” Y/N batted her eyelashes and pouted at her boyfriend, “What are you gonna do about it anyway?”
“Y/N stop it,” Charlie warned again, but Y/N kicked his thigh again softly, it was more a nudge than a real kick.
He glanced at her, a grin forming on his lips before he grabbed the girl by her feet and pulled her into a laying position, and attacked her sides with his fingers.
“No, Charlie!” The girl squealed, trying to move away from his hands, “please!”
“That’s not gonna work, my love,” he cackled, moving one of his hands up to her neck knowing that was her weak spot.
“Charlie!” Their laughter filled the room, and Y/N squirmed under the boy, “S’il te plaît, babe!”
“Oh! Tu parles français, mon amour.” Charlie knew his girlfriend only knew how to say a few things in French, please being one of them. He stopped his attack and left a soft kiss on her nose, before pressing their lips together in a kiss.
Y/N pulled away from the kiss first, still short of breath because of the tickles, with a smile on her face, she brought her hands up to cup her boyfriend’s face and pulled him into a kiss again.
“I love you, my idiot,” she breathed against his lips, “now get off, you’re crushing me.”
“I love you too, mon amour.”
Charlie was about to get in bed when Y/N walked in with a towel wrapped around her body and her hair wet. He let out a sigh, too tired to complain now.
“Sit so we can’t get this done fast,” he pointed to the bed and plugged in the hairdryer.
Sure, he was exhausted, but he loved to help his girl dry her hair, and be a part of her little night routine. That was one of the things he loved about her, she had a tendency to be unpredictable, but no matter what, she’d always take a shower before bed, take her time putting on lotions and skincare, and he’d always help her dry her hair if he was staying over.
He loved the fact that he could tell if Y/N was laying next to him just by her fruity fragrance. He loved to help her relax at the end of the day, and somehow, drying her hair helped him relax too.
After her hair was finally dry, he covered himself with the covers and sent a quick goodnight message to his family group chat, while he waited for his girl to finish her night routine.
“Vanilla or coconut?” She wondered, fumbling things in her nightstand drawer. He saw the two hand creams she was holding and smiled.
“Vanilla.”
She squeezed the tube to put cream on her own hands and then squeezed cream on his hands.
“You know I love your sexy guitarist hands, but we don’t like dry hands in this house,” Y/N commented with a sweet smile.
“Goodnight, Y/N,” Charlie said, shaking his head in amusement.
“Goodnight, Charlie,” the girl answered, cuddling next to him.
“I love you,” he wrapped an arm around her and closed his eyes, happy to spend another night next to the girl he loved so much.
“I love you too, babe.”
    Charlie smiles, watching the sunlight dance on Y/N’s face, almost like little splashes of golden paint. She hums to whatever song is playing through her earphones, a faint smile teasing the corners of her lips. Her eyes are closed, and Charlie marvels at how peaceful and serene she looks. Her h/c hair surrounds her head like a halo, and he is tempted to reach forward and press a kiss to her temple.
  He doesn’t do that, of course. Instead, he gets up from his couch and joins Y/N on the floor, lying beside her. Her eyelashes flutter at his movement and quaint, kind e/c eyes hold his stare, eyebrows raised in question.
  “I thought you said that you were too mighty for the floor.” She teases, biting her lower lip to hide a smile. Charlie almost melts at that.
  “I never said that. Is everything okay up there?” He points his index finger at her head.
  The young woman of nineteen laughs mockingly. “Why, afraid you’re rubbing off your crazy on me?”
  Charlie rolls his eyes, and shifts closer to her, their arms touching slightly – and even that slight touch makes him feels butterflies in his stomach. It’s not uncommon, of course. Ever since he realized that he is indeed in love with her, anything that she does gives him butterflies. He doesn’t mind, of course – but he hates the fact that he is unable to tell her what effect she has on him. So, he resorts to ignoring or suppressing everything he feels for his little sister’s best friend instead.
  She pulls out an ear pod from her left ear and shoves it into Charlie’s ear. Eastside. She’s had this song on repeat, ever since she came to visit him in Vancouver, where he’s filming for the first season of Julie and The Phantoms.
  “I love this song. Reminds me of my first boyfriend. Remember him?” She says, softly.
  “Aaron. How could I forget? You begged me to cover for you at home so you could hang out with him.” He says, smiling softly at the memory. They were so young, Y/N just fourteen, and him sixteen. He remembers Y/N sitting beside him on the couch while he was watching a movie, all flushed and bothered, eyes continuously flitting to Charlie. He remembers saying, “I know you’re dying to tell me something.”
  She had nodded, looking around the Gillespies’ living room where they were currently seated in, apprehensively. “Promise me you won’t tell anyone.”
  He had jutted out his pinky finger and wrapped it around hers. “Never.”
  “I think I really, really, super-duper like Aaron.”
  “Aaron as in your next-door neighbor?”
  “Yep.”
  Charlie had smirked. “He’s such a dork. I can’t believe that you like him.”
  “Shut up, Char. He’s the sweetest.”
  He chuckled. “His hobby is taking pictures of trees… if that doesn’t scream ‘dork’, then I don’t know what does.”
  She had glared at him while Megan had entered the room, plopping down on the couch beside Charlie. “What’s up?”
  “I’m telling him about Aaron, and he thinks that he’s a dork.”
  Megan shrugged. “What’s wrong with that? He’s really cute. Also, he was asking about you today.”
  “Really?” Y/N’s eyes brightened. Charlie laughed, shaking his head. “You girls are weird. But I approve. He’s a nice kid.”
  “I wasn’t looking for your approval?”
  “Yes, you were.”
  The girls had rolled their eyes at him and he had wrapped his arms around the two.
  Y/N’s voice brings him back to the present. “Simple times.”
  Charlie faces her. “Everyone after him were horrible.”
  She narrows her eyes at the boy beside her. “No, you were just too overprotective.”
  “Nope. They were all horrible.”
  They weren’t. Charlie just hated anyone who showed an interest in Y/N. At first, he thought that it was probably because he had literally watched her grow up. But a couple of months later, when he watched her kiss Levitt from the swim team, he had felt a smoldering rage rise in his stomach, along with his heart clenching. That day, he had realized that maybe there was more to it than watching her grow up. A couple more months later, on his eighteenth birthday, when she had kissed him on his cheek and handed him a present wrapped in shiny, blue paper, he had felt butterflies in his stomach. He also could feel the ghost of her delicate lips against his skin for days after, like the remnants of a fire brushing against his cheek.
  When he unwrapped the present, he found a vintage, hardbound copy of his favorite book, Les Misérables, along with a note, saying: ‘I might’ve read your journal. Only the part about how much you loved hardcovers and the part about how much you hated the fact that no bookstores nearby sold it. Well, I also might’ve read the part about how frustrated you are with microwave timers. I feel you, dude. But, yeah, remember when I said that I was going to visit my sister in Montoc? I lied, LOL. I went to a vintage bookstore in Fredericton. I’m sorry for lying, but ‘twas for a good reason, huh? Hope you like this. Also, you’re my second favorite person, after Meg. Happy 18th, Charles. Love, Y/N.’
  That moment he had realized that he was completely, utterly, truly, madly, deeply in love with his little sister’s best friend.
  It’s been about three years since that, and he still hasn’t told her how he feels.
  Now, Y/N looks at him, and rolls her eyes. “Sheesh.”
  She props herself on her elbow. “When are we going out today?”
  “Jeremy said that he made a reservation at 6. So, we’ll leave half an hour earlier.”
  “Okay. Is Owen going with us?”
  “Yeah. I don’t trust him to drive in Canada.”
  She grins. “He’s cool.”
  “Maybe sometimes.”
  “Savannah and Madi are the coolest, though.”
  “Definitely, yeah.”
  “You never told me that you had a cute roomie, though.”
  “Yeah – wait what?”
  Y/N flashes him a teasing smile and pushes herself upward with the palm of her hands. She brushes off her yoga pants and extends an arm to Charlie who is currently panicking inside.
  “Do you like Owen?”
  “What if I do?”
  Charlie must have looked as horrified as he had felt because she laughs and says, “I’m just messing with you.”
  “Thank god.”
***
  “Finally!” Y/N yells, kicking off her black, leather heels, which land near Charlie’s feet. He laughs, kicking them to the side.
  “You’re so dramatic.”
  “I dare you to wear heels like that for a day. See how you feel.”
  Owen pipes from behind them, closing the door to their apartment. “Oh, I did. My friend Dani made me wear them for a video. It was the most painful day of my life.”
  “See!” Y/N high fives his roommate as Charlie scrunches up his face. “How’d she find heels in your size, dude?”
  He laughs, and extends an arm toward the other two, who hand him their coats, muttering ‘thank you’ individually. He walks inside, yelling, “I’m fucking tired. Going to sleep.”
  “Don’t forget to check the stove!” Charlie yells back, hearing his roommate affirm his request.
  It’s just the two of them standing in the foyer now, and Charlie can’t stop staring at her. She’s wearing this beautiful red dress that compliments her skin perfectly, clinging to her body in all the right places – he had himself gifted her this dress on her nineteenth birthday. (Not really. His mother had picked the dress.)
  She hasn’t noticed him staring, though.
  “Ugh, I can’t wait to get out of this dress.” She walks inside.
  Charlie pauses and purses his lips, trying to stop himself from picturing him doing it. He breathes out raggedly and follows her inside – trying (and failing) to shove that mental picture away.
  Reaching the living room, he falls back onto the couch, which has been his bed for the past few days that Y/N has been here. She had protested, of course. But she already has so much trouble sleeping – she’s had it ever since she was a child.
  Y/N hadn’t had the best childhood. Charlie faintly remembers his mom pulling him and his sister into the kitchen one day when Y/N left their house after spending the whole day there.
  “Mom? What happened to Y/N?” Megan had asked, childlike innocence dripping off her tone.
  Charlie had nodded, saying, “How’d she fall down the stairs? That bruise looked nasty.”
  Their mother had sighed, and Charlie still remembers the pain in her eyes. “Honey. I want you to listen carefully, okay? And not tell anyone. You two think you can do that?”
  They nodded enthusiastically.
  “There are good people in this world – like Y/N. But there are also bad people, people who hurt the good people. And sometimes, sometimes, your parents can also be bad people.”
  “That’s not true!” Megan had protested, their mother smiling.
  “Maybe not for you. I hope so. But Y/N’s parents – they aren’t the best people, okay? They…uh… I’m not going to excuse their actions. They, uh, hurt Y/N.”
  “So, they pushed her down the stairs?” Charlie asked, his eyes widened. He could not understand how the people that loved you the most could do that to you, especially to someone like Y/N. He’s known her his entire life, ever since the Y/L/Ns moved next door when he was still in diapers.
  “I don’t know. Something happened. She was too shaken up to talk about it.”
  “But – but – she’s the best person ever! Why would her mom and dad do that to her?” Megan had protested, eyes welling with tears at the thought of her best friend getting hurt.
  “I don’t know, honey. I wish I did, I really do.” Their mother paused for a long moment. “I want you two to always be nice to her, alright? No matter what happens. Because, right now, she feels alone. I can see it in her eyes – she’s scared, confused, lonely. I know you two love her so much, and I want you guys to make sure that she knows it, okay? Make sure that she never feels lonely, all right? Make sure that she’s always safe and comfortable, as long as she’s with us, you.”
  They had nodded, their hearts welling up with love for their friend.
  After their mother hugged the two of them, Charlie’s twelve-year-old sister had run off to the other room, to call her best friend and tell her just how much she loves her.
  Charlie had lingered in the kitchen, too sad over what he’d just been told.
  “Maman?”
  “Yes, honey?”
  “Can’t we just keep her for ourselves?”
  “If we could, we would. I would like nothing more. But that’s absolutely not legal, mon chéri.”
  “Oh. That’s unfair.”
  His mother had flashed him a sad smile. He had taken both of his hands in his, and said sincerely, “I promise you, maman. I’m always gonna protect her. No matter what.”
  His mother had pressed a kiss into his tousled hair and whispered, “I expect nothing less.”
  It’s been more than seven years since, but Charlie still does everything in his power to make sure that she is always safe and happy.
  “Hey, Char?” Her voice brings him back from his childhood.
  “Yeah?”
  “That couch doesn’t look comfortable.” She shrugged one shoulder.
  “It is! I promise you.” He lied. It definitely wasn’t comfortable. The blinding pain in his neck is proof of that.
  “Don’t lie to me. Come on, sleep in your bed.”
  He shook his head.
  “You’re not gonna sleep on the couch, Y/N. Seriously. You’re right, it’s too uncomfortable.”
  “I wasn’t gonna. We’ll sleep together. That came out wrong. I mean, we can both sleep in the same bed, we’re both adults.”
  Charlie wanted to protest, but the hopeless romantic in him drowned all objections.
  “We’ll put pillows between us, okay? And it’s not like we haven’t slept in the same bed before. Remember my seventeenth? We were so drunk that we thought that the bed was a magnet, and we were screws.” She continued, looking away.
  Charlie smiled up at her, remembering the feeling he had the next morning when he had woken up to find Y/N curled up into him, her head tucked into the crook of his neck. “All right. If it’s okay with you.”
  She nods, walking into his bedroom, with Charlie following close behind. Both them wordlessly change and freshen up in the bathroom, and Charlie falls face first in his bed.
  “Oh. My. God.”
  Y/N laughs, sitting at the corner of his bed. “Knew it.”
  Charlie grins at her, feeling absolutely euphoric, especially with the buzz from all the drinks he’s had tonight still lingering in his head like a tattoo kiss. She slides under the covers, burrowing her face into the soft pillows. “I can’t function anymore. Bye.”
  He laughs softly, squeezing her shoulder, to which she softly smiles. He slides under the cover, resting on his side to face her, or rather a mess of h/c hair and soft, rhythmic breaths. He closes his eyes, switching off the light, but he knows that he will not be getting much sleep tonight, especially with the fuzzy citrus scent of her perfume everywhere and the heat from her body consuming him.
***
  It’s 1:20 AM and Charlie can’t sleep. Turns out that being in the same bed with the girl he’s been in love with since he was eighteen is a very, very bad idea. He’s put as much space between them as possible, yet he still feels vigilant and hot. His mind is betraying him: all he can think about is how beautiful she looks when the moonlight streaming through his window is casting shadows on her face, or how she’s sometimes saying things (really, really weird things, though – Charlie doesn’t understand anything), how much she looks like a little cat while she’s snuggled into the covers, or how she flails her arms while she’s asleep.
  He considers crashing in Owen’s room for the night. But as soon as Y/N starts moving around, still sleeping, he holds that thought and watches her instead.
  He can see her getting agitated, as she tosses and turns. She continues murmuring something, but it’s still all jumbled, and it hits Charlie.
  He props himself on his elbow and leans close to her face. “Y/N. Hey. Come back to me. Y/N. Honey. You’re safe. You’re safe.”
  She gasps, as consciousness floods in her system. She looks confused for a second, and Charlie sits up, right beside her. “Listen to me. You’re safe. I’m here. It’s okay. You’re okay. Everything is okay.”
  She exhales, eyes closing for a second.
  “Are you okay?” Charlie asks when her breathing has turned cadenced.
  Her eyes widen and lips part. “I’m so sorry.”
  “You don’t ever need to apologize for that. Are you okay?”
  “Yeah. Yeah. I just – ever since I left home, I’ve been getting these nightmares.” She says, softly. Charlie lays next to her, turning to face her, while she mirrors his actions.
  “What do you see?” He asks.
  “Mostly my childhood. You know, my dad pushing me down the stairs. Or my mother telling me that I’m a horrible person and no one will ever love me, and she should have aborted me. Or my dad breaking the mirror the one time I got a B in math. Or my parents fighting. Or – you know, just a montage of my parents’ greatest hits.”
  She breathes out shakily.
  “Getting away didn’t stop the nightmares, huh?” He asks, resting a hand on her warm cheek.
  She scoots closer. “No. They still text me sometimes, mostly to remind me that I’m a terrible person and that I’m gonna go to hell for walking out on them and not going to Harvard.”
  “Y/N, don’t you dare –”
  “No. I’m happier than I’ve ever been. Walking out was the best decision that I’ve ever made.”
  He smiles softly at her.
  “You and Megan… god, you two saved my life. I would never have had the courage to get this far if it wasn’t for you guys.”
  “No, honey. It was all you. You’re the strongest person we know.”
  “Shush. Let me compliment you in peace. You guys are the best thing that’s ever happened to me, you know.”
  She smiles, reaching forward to tangle run her hands through Charlie’s hair. They were dangerously close now: Charlie could see the curve of her nose, the lingering red lipstick color on her lips and count the number of eyelashes she has.
  “You’re the best thing that’s happened to us, too.”
  Charlie can feel something in the space between them, something pulling them close. It is cold outside, but here, in the cocoon they’ve created, he feels warm and at home.
  “Like, thank you so much for pushing me to get into law school. Now, I’m learning how to help millions of little girls who are going through what I went through, and it makes everything worth it. I feel like I don’t say this enough, but Charlie. Thank you for everything.”
  He smiles, trying to retort something funny but her proximity has jumbled his mind.
  “I know you’re really busy with your life, but thanks for still thinking of me sometimes.”
  That breaks Charlie out of his daze. “What?”
  “You know. You’re in a Netflix show, working with Kenny freaking Ortega and all these incredible people – and I’m enormously proud of you, by the way – and… well, you’ll soon not have that much time for your little sister’s best friend, you know?”
  “You’re not just my little sister’s best friend, Y/N.”
  “Yeah, I’m your friend, alright. But soon you’ll be meeting celebrities and models and actors and then you wouldn’t have time for me anymore.”
  Charlie furrows his brows. “Where is this coming from, Y/N?”
  “I just had a lot of time to think today.” She turns on her back, facing the ceiling.
  He hates the fact that she is so unpredictable: he never knows what’s going on in her head or what she is feeling. That’s one of the reasons that he’s kept his feelings for her a secret for almost three years.
  “I saw you with that model today. At the bar. Uh. So, I thought that you’re probably gonna meet a lot of them in LA. Models and Hollywood girls and all that. So, you’ll probably not have any time for me anymore.”
  Charlie shakes his head, recalling the model he was talking to earlier today. Or rather, yesterday. Carol. She was really nice, sweet, and beautiful – and definitely interested in Charlie. But his focus had been on Y/N, who was having a dance off with Owen and Savannah, all evening – or rather, all the time. He had tried to focus on the Carol, he really did – but after an hour, she herself realized that he wasn’t into her and whispered a ‘good luck with her’ to him before leaving to go back to her friends.
  “Y/N, that’s not true –”
  “It’s okay, Charlie. It’s good. Your life shouldn’t be stuck in the same place. It should be getting better, and you should be meeting new people, you know? You’ve been alone for a weirdly long time and it’s freaking your mom out. So, I know you’re gonna fall in love with someone and then you’ll be too busy –”
  “God, Y/N, how are you so fucking oblivious?” Charlie snaps, annoyance coursing through his veins.
  Her eyes widen at his harsh tone of voice, and it shocks Charlie, too. He’s never, ever raised his voice at her.
  “What?”
  Maybe it’s having her so incredibly close that causes him to finally snap. “Y/N, I have been in love with you ever since I was eighteen. You’re the only person that I want, and you’re the reason that I’ve been alone for a weirdly long time.”
  He immediately regrets saying that. Y/N is sitting up, and she is looking around everywhere, trying to avert Charlie’s eyes. He hides his face behind his hands, sinking deeper into the covers and trying to create a hole and fall down to the center of the earth.
  “I think you’ve had too much to drink today.”
  He groans into his hands, glad that he’s under the covers and the girl can’t see his absolutely scarlet face. “Oh, for god’s sake. Dude. I wrote you an entire ballad when I was nineteen because I realized that this is exactly what’s gonna happen – that I’m always gonna be in love with you, and you’re always gonna think of me as your best friend’s older brother.”
  He feels the covers shift above his head, and is greeted with Y/N’s face, a vulnerable look in her eyes. “Do you really mean it?”
  “Of course, I do. You’re my family – do you really think that I’m gonna joke about something like this and ruin our friendship? The only reason I’m even telling you this is because I’m incredibly frustrated that you’re so oblivious and you’re so fucking pretty. And so close. See, this is exactly why I wanted to sleep on the couch. Because I knew that I would lose it.”
  There’s a sudden flurry of movement and her lips are on his’, and they’re kissing, kissing, kissing. Charlie is too shocked to do anything at first but as soon as the warmth courses through his system and the butterflies go wild in his gut, he pulls her closer, rising up. She sits in his lap, straddling him, their hands getting lost in each other’s hairs – both of them trying to be closer, closer, closer to make up for all the lost years and to keep feeling the contentment that they feel from just being close to each other. She tastes like Charlie’s mint toothpaste and his dreams – like everything he’s ever wanted.
  As they separate for air, Y/N rests her forehead on his. “I thought you knew.”
  “What?” He’s surprised to find his voice hoarse.
  “That I’m in love with you.”
  He can’t stop the grin on his face from escaping. “What?”
  “I thought Meg told you. Or your mum. Or anyone really. Everyone’s called me out on it. I’ve always had a crush on you but dating all those guys in high school made me realize that I was kind of, you know, in love with you.”
  “Why didn’t you tell me?”
  “Same reason as you. You’re my family, Charlie. I didn’t wanna lose what we have just because of… you know.”
  Y/N slides off his lap and lies on the bed, next to him and he mirrors her actions, and she rests her head on his chest, the frantic beating in his chest her background music. He drapes an arm around her shoulders, desperate to have her close.
  “We’re both cowards, eh?”
  She giggles.
  “Wait. Meg knew?”
  “Of course. She’s my best friend.”
  “You know, one day I got drunk and told her that ‘I’m 100% attracted to your best friend sexually and emotionally and everythingally.’ I kept wondering why she was laughing.”
  “I hate her.” She buries her face in Charlie’s chest, giggling.
  Charlie laughs and pulls her in for another kiss, desperate to hold her again, to feel the high he only feels around her. She smiles against his lips, before a thought occurs to him. “Wait. You were jealous of the bar girl, weren’t you?”
  “Shut up, you dork.”
  They’re only half aware of the snowstorm raging outside from the warm cocoon they’ve created in each other’s arms. Maybe miracles really do exist.
Roadtrip - Charlie Gillespie
Tumblr media
a/n: just a daydream I had when I saw this GIF. It’s not proofread. I’m open to requests.
Words: 2k
---------------------------------------
You and Charlie were on a road trip from LA to Oklahoma and last to Chigaco. Your boyfriend had to move there due to the fact that he got cast in a movie and you were fortunate enough to move with him, being able to work from home. It wasn't your idea to drive all those miles via car, but Charlie doesn't like flying so he avoided it at all cost and because you love him, you accompanied him for those dreadful hours.
It was way too early for your liking, of course Charlie knew that and put up with your grumpy, nontalkative mood, simply shoving a large cup of coffee into your hands. “Ma cœur, how much longer until you're more awake to talk to me?” Charlie asked after a while, as he glanced over to you on the passenger side, his free hand tracing little hearts on your thigh. You yawned and took a sip of the now lukewarm coffee. “About this much.” You measured the amount still in the cup, making him chuckle.
You and Charlie have been dating for nearly one and a half years now, however it feels like it's been much longer. From the start, the two of you were attached at the hip, instantly comfortable around each other. Everybody said that you two moved too fast because you moved in with each other after only three months of dating, but because of Covid you didn't want to risk being apart. Even though objectively speaking, you and Charlie were not the same, you were more daydreaming than actually paying attention and you didn't need the adrenaline in your life, you completed him in a magical way.
Right now you two were two hours in, the coffee was empty and you ass already sore from all the sitting. It was something you always despided about yourself, you could spend all day laying in bed, but you couldn't sit still, changing position every now and then. Tapping your foot to the beat of the song streaming from the radio. Charlie calmly hummed along to the song, his fingers also tapping along. You looked over at him and couldn't love him more.
“Are you excited to see Owen and Jer?” You asked him, breaking the silence. A breathtaking smile overtook his face “You know it! How about you?” You nodded, also excited to see the boys again. “Mhm. I missed them a lot.” The song on the radio changed and you huffed in annoyance, you hated that song. Sensing that, Charlie took out his phone and connected it to the car.
“Charlie! Don't drive and be on your phone!” You snapped it out of his hand, giving him a displeased look. Scrolling through Spotify you eventually choose a song to your liking. 18 by OneDirection blared through the speakers, while you put the volume higher you turned in your seat. “I have loved you since we were 18. Well technically 20 but that's a detail.” You whispered the last part. He scrunched his nose in amusement, a quirk you loved dearly.
The two of you screamed lyrics at the top of your lungs, the car driving on an empty highway. The rest of the world fading away, leaving the two of you in a cozy little bubble of your own. The day continued just like that, the two of you singing to songs and just enjoying the company. You loved seeing him drive, something about it was just so attractive to you, maybe it was the way his arms flexed when he moved the wheel, or the fact that you yourself were unable to drive. Even with your 21 years of life, you refused to sit behind the steering wheel and Charlie had tried several times, it always ended with you in tears.
“Do you want to stop somewhere to sleep? It's getting kinda late and you have been driving the whole day.” you questioned, looking at the horizon as the last beams of yellow and red vanished slowly. “Yes please. Can you search for a hotel around here?” Nodding, you took his phone and went onto google maps.
“There's one about two hours away in New Mexico. Reviews look good and the price isn't too high. Sadly no breakfast included, so we're gonna get you something on the road, not gonna let you starve, otherwise I will be stranded here.” He gave your thigh a playful slap and a squeeze “Yeah, yeah love you too, Char. I will look it up… Ah perfect! There's a Dunkin Donuts five miles from the hotel. Does that sound good babe?” He hummed in approval.
“Ah a man of words!” he took one of your hands and gave it a light kiss. “You know me. I always wanted to be a Mime.” he joked.
Before you knew it, the car came to a stop in the pitch black. Only a little yellow neon sign lighting up the hotel parking spot.
“This looks like this one Teen Wolf episode…” you murmured, not feeling the best about this place. “You’re just saying that because you're scared of the dark ma cœur. I'm here to protect you. No Monsters are harming you tonight.” he teased, getting out of the car. In typical Charlie fashion, he walked around the car and opened your door and held out a hand for you, immediately intertwining your fingers.
You smiled up at him, squeezing his hand. “Ha ha…”
The two of you were happy to finally walk off the stiffness of your legs, as you walked over to the reception.
“Hello. We would have a room please.”
The receptionist was in his late 30s, his greying hair falling messily in his eyes and a big smile sat on his thin lips. “No Problem. Is a king bed alright with the two of you?” he didn't want to assume anything. You and Charlie chuckled, nodding slightly “Preferred actually.”
Five minutes later, you waited in the room 345 while Charlie insisted on getting your bags. Stretching, you tried to get rid of the soreness in your back, your eyes nearly falling shut.
Charlie opened the doors, giving you a tired smile. “Let's get to bed. Tomorrow we rise early!” you groaned, making him chuckle. Standing up, you walked over to him, your arms wrapping around his familiar frame. He was stroking your head, giving it a kiss before walking into the bathroom to brush his teeth.
In the meanwhile you changed your clothes, changing from some jeans and one of his hoodies to sweatpants and an oversized shirt.
You gave him a hasty kiss as he came out of the bathroom, smelling the mint of the toothpaste still lingering on his lips. After you washed your face and brushed your teeth, you let yourself fall into the bed. His arms sneaking around your waist, pulling you closer into him.
“Thank you.” Turning around to face him, you traced his features with your fingertips “For what?”
“Coming on this drive with me. You could have easily convinced me to fly, you know.”
“I know mon amour.” you said, looking into his eyes, as you tried your best to keep yours open. You left several kisses on his bare shoulders until your lips met his. He smiled into the kiss and then nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck, pecking it several times before stopping.
“Good night. I love you.”
“Good night babe. Love you more.”
The next morning came way too fast and you didn't want to move out of his comfortable and safe arms into the cold car, but you had to. The sunrise hadn't even begun, the sky still a dark blue, when the two of you drove into the Dunkin drive through, to get you a coffee and a donut. You had to have something sweet in the mornings.
“Actually, I saw a little restaurant on the way here that should have takeaway, do you mind if we take a quick stop?” you shook your head, trying hard not to fall asleep again. An idea ignited in your head and you sat up straighter. “What if we go live while you drive? Maybe I'll be more awake or I'll have stuff to read.” you requested, looking at your boyfriend with a slight pout.
“Sure thing. I'll bet they'll love it.” Smiling, you grabbed his phone from his hand and went into Instagram.
“Hey Char and y/n here.” you introduced while trying to balance the phone on the dashboard “Its freaking early and I’m nearly falling asleep so I thought you guys could entertain me a bit. Mister Gillespie over here isn't as interesting as you guys.” he pouted into the camera, you leaned forward quickly and gave him a kiss on the cheek. The chat was already flooding with hey’s and questions about your relationship and where you were going.
“Is it true that you sometimes talk french to Charlie?” you read from the chat, your eyes widening a little in surprise.
“Sometimes. I mean my french isn't the best but growing up in Europe, I picked up some stuff.”
“She’s just being humble, she understands a lot and her accent is hella cute.” Charlie piped in, pulling into the drive through he mentioned earlier. “Je vois que tu comprends." He said to you, a slight smile playing on his lips. You got lost in his eyes for a second before responding. “Of course I understand babe!” he grabbed your hand and kissed it softly while chuckling.
“OMG that was just so cute!” you read out loud from the chat. Blushing slightly, you giggled, “He loves to do stuff like that when he’s driving. Always showing affection in one way or the other.”
“Uhm next question...What are you two doing so early? Someone asks.” with an raised eyebrow you look over to your boyfriend “I think you can answer this.” you turned the camera a bit so he was more in frame. “We're going to Chicoago, Chigacoooo.” he quoted the iconic Victorious scene, his eyes scanning the road before him.
He got himself a cheese thing of some sort, you couldn't quite make out what it was and parked on the side of the road, getting his food ready in front of him.
He bit into his cheese thing while you sipped on your coffee conversing with the chat. Just earlier you had begged for music suggestions, telling them to send their best road trip songs. Charlie looked really good right now, his hair was pulled together in a bun and he was wearing a blue shirt. You on the other hand had your hair in a top bun and the same hoodie from yesterday, a wool blanket draped over your shoulders. You just wanted to ask if you could have a bite, when he got cheese all over his chin.
He laughed as he looked over to you. Before you knew what you were doing, you leaned forward in your seat. Your face mere inches away from his, you could feel his breath on your face. You stuck out your tongue and licked the cheese away, your eyes never leaving his.
Without giving it a second thought, you settled back into a comfortable position and took a sip from your coffee with a prominent smirk on your face. Leaving a dumbfounded Charlie and a screaming chat.
Not even an hour later the clip of you licking his chin, in maybe a bit of a too sexual way, went viral in the community.
Summary: After a hard fall resulting in a bad injury, your boyfriend Charlie comes to the rescue to be your care taker at the same time as he has a Live with Owen.
A/n: A filled request? On my page??? It’s more likely than we thought! This one has been a long time coming (sorry act that). I have an exam coming up so I don't know how much I’ll write until then, but after I might have a shit ton of free time so I might be able to continue filling requests.
“What happened?” I hear Charlie practically screech upon seeing me sitting on the dull blue colored vinyl of the hospital examination table. He’s still dressed in his muscle tee, athletic shorts, and he’s got his hiking bag on his back, which lets me know he didn’t take it off as he sped over to the hospital.
“I don’t wanna talk about it.” My emotionless assertion makes Savannah laugh. “I fell down a few stairs wrong and messed up my ankle pretty bad.” And luckily my phone was in my back pocket pre-fall. Knowing Charlie went with Chevel for a morning hike in nature with no service, Sav was the only other person close enough to my space of living to come scoop me up. I sat on the stairs for the solid 15 minutes it took her to drive over here, just waiting. The way I fell and the pain that came with it was unmistakably reason enough to not even try and stand. And I was right to do so because, after a standard hospital visit, I’d been informed that I had torn a ligament. Go me!
“Well, are you okay now? Is it broken? Are you okay to go home?”
“Charlie, I’m fine. It’s a mild tear, I just need to stay off it for a little while.” I gesture him closer mid-sentence so I can pull a leaf out of his long hair. He catches my hand in his as I release the lock of his hair.
“How long is a little while?”
“Six weeks most likely.”
“Six weeks?!”
“I’ll be fine, Charlie.”
“As much as I love you, I do have to leave so-” Savannah interjects Charlie’s moment of panic, whilst collecting all three items she had brought to the ER with me. “Charlie? Please keep an eye on her. Don’t let her try and tough it out like we know she will.”
“I’m fine, Sav.”
“You’re on crutches, Y/n.” She mimics my tone and inflection before double-checking with Charlie in a single look, and promptly exiting the hospital. I look at my hiking trail dust-covered boyfriend in annoyance but his face doesn’t waver from its determinedly firm expression.
“Do you need help off the table?”
“No, but I’ll probably need help getting into the car.”
“Yeah, no problem.”
“Okay, you’ve got the remote, pillows, blankets, pain killers, water, a juice box, a healthy snack, an unhealthy snack, and a charger. That should be good, right?”
“It’s good. I’m sure it’s more than enough, Charlie. Thank you.” Charlie looks at me with a proud smile, knowing he’s doing his best to help me out. My confirmation is the last thing he needs before telling me that he has a Live to do, for the millionth time. It takes some reassuring that I’ll be okay if he resides in the room next to me, and eventually he leaves me alone.
I puff out a short breath as a symptom of convincing Charlie first and foremost, but second, the eventful day I’ve had all before 11 AM. Sitting in a static silence for a bit piques my curiosity as to what Charlie is doing, but it doesn’t last long and I reach for the tv remote. No time like the present to watch the newest show everybody’s raving about. Does anyone even care about Bridgerton anymore? Do I really wanna watch a series about homicide and Mormons? I figure it can’t hurt to watch something made by John Mulaney. Even if I’ve already seen it six times…
When I open the program, I’m met with the Netflix logo which is far too quiet for me to hear anything. As I’m about to turn up the volume, I hear Charlie’s voice carry over from the next room.
“Y/n’s injured so I’m taking care of her for a little bit.”
“Wait, what happened?” That sounds like Owen’s voice.
“She fell and messed up her ankle real bad.”
Real bad. Yeah, that’s one way of putting it.
Returning my attention to the undetermined John Mulaney special, I hesitate for a minute before eventually choosing Kid Gorgeous and letting it play from the beginning. Although the special is still as entertaining as the first time I watched it, I find myself fighting sleep. Thankfully, I frontloaded my week with most of my responsibilities, so I can afford to take the day to myself. It is more of a need than a want, but still. I ultimately give in to my desire and let myself rest after the eventful morning. Sleep quickly consumes me in the best way possible where I’m not in so deep that I’ll wake up miserable, but still fully unconscious and resting.
When my eyes flutter open, I’m confused as to why I’ve woken up until I feel it. I drank all of my full water bottle and a juice box and I have to pee.
Fuck. What time is it? I haven’t been asleep that long, but it’s been long enough that the special is over and Netflix is hounding me to watch something else. Where is my boyfriend?
“Charlie?” I sleepily call into the abyss. It’s less than a second later that Charlie appears in the doorway, breathless from having sprinted from what sounded like the kitchen.
“Are you okay? I thought you were sleeping. How long have you been calling for me?”
“Shhh,” I attempt to simmer his worry, “I’m fine. Can you just help me get to the bathroom?” I set my good foot on the ground and attempt to stand, but my body, still not fully awake, nearly gives out on me whilst my vision is overtaken by a cloudy headrush. Charlie is by my side in an instant, catching me by pulling my torso into his more stable one.
“Hey, wait, you should just sit for a sec and give yourself some time to wake up-”
“Charlie, I have to pee so bad.”
“Okay, okay.” Despite verbally agreeing, Charlie doesn’t allow me to move any further. I look at him in confusion to see he’s eyeing the crutches on the floor by the arm of the couch. “Yeah, you’re not stable enough yet,” he says to himself, but our close proximity allows me to hear him anyway. Before I can process what’s happening, Charlie sweeps me up bridal style and begins carrying me to the bathroom.
“Your workout’s been paying off,” I mumble into the fabric of his t-shirt. The fool laughs lightly, his cool breath dusting the top of my head and his chest vibrating against me. It’s so comforting to be in his arms that I nearly fall back asleep on the way to the bathroom. Charlie notices and presses a kiss to my forehead to keep me awake.
“Hey. You gotta pee first and then you can go back to sleep.” I groan as a reply, causing him to laugh again. “Will you be okay moving around the space or do you need my help?”
“The bathroom is not that big, Charlie.”
“Okay, okay.”
My bathroom visit goes seamlessly, and the warm water of the tap wakes me up enough to talk to my hyper-cautious lover through the door of the bathroom.
“How was your Live?”
“It’s been good so far.” At his response I freeze for a moment, looking at my own reflection as if I’m face to face with Charlie.
“So far?”
“Yeah, Owen’s babysitting the Live right now.”
“You didn’t tell you were still on. I would’ve managed on my own.”
“I’m not gonna let my seriously injured girlfriend struggle her way through my house!” He cries, sounding legitimately offended, but knowing Charlie, he’s not being 100% sincere. I unlock the door and swing it open to find him pouting. He doesn’t speak again until after he scoops me back up into his grasp. “Do you want to go back to the couch or come sit with me or…?”
“Will you sit on the couch with me?” I feel him nod above me and feel my eyes begin to droop as they had on the way to the bathroom. Should I let myself sleep more? I want to be able to sleep tonight, but I’m still so exhausted that I’m convincing myself everything will turn out fine.
“Okay, let me go grab Owen and I’ll come sit on the couch with you.” A hazy smile rests on my tired features as Charlie sets me down on the sleep-inducing cushions of his couch. I can hear he’s already back after a quick second when Owen’s voice sounds through the speakers of his phone. To my surprise, he doesn’t sit down right away, and when I crack my eye open to investigate why, I’m met with Charlie staring down at me in awe. I don’t even need to ask what he’s thinking and the sheepish boy wordlessly takes his place on the couch next to me. He’s leaning back against the pillows he set up and beckons me to lay my head against his shoulder. Mindful of my pain, he helps me prop up my injured leg for elevation.
“Hey, Y/n!” I hear the familiar voice that I don’t have to open my heavy eyes to identify.
“Hi, Owen.”
“How you doin’?”
“I’m-”
“Hey, that’s my thing!” Charlie cuts me off to whine at his best friend.
“What?”
“Only I can ask Y/n ‘how you doin’?’” He says in the iconic Joey Tribbiani fashion. I exhale as much of a laugh as I can muster before resuming the conversation Charlie childishly interrupted.
“I’m doing alright. It’s only day one and life already sucks, but nothing is broken, so, could be better and could be worse.”
“I feel so bad for you.”
“Aww well, at least I have Charlie here to take care of me.”
“I feel so bad for you,” Owen pointedly parrots, earning a harsh glare from Charlie.
“You know what? If I had it my way, you wouldn’t be in this Live.”
“Don’t be mean!” I scold my nuisance of a boyfriend, gently tapping the back of my hand against his chest. Charlie grabs the offending hand and interlaces our fingers, bringing it up to place a sweet kiss on my knuckles.
“Siiiiiiiiimmpp!”
“You’re just jealous you’re all alone in Oklahoma.”
“Uhhh, correction: I have Eaton here for the week, so ha!” I roll my eyes at the childishness that is Owen and Charlie, but laugh all the same. It’s never-ending with these boys, and the chaos, though exhausting, is humorous more often than not. I’m happy to be with the boys again, but the harder it gets for me to keep my eyes open, the more I realize I wasn’t fully ready to be awake yet. As Charlie’s shoulder becomes the most comfortable spot in the world, I look at the two of us in his window on the Live to see he’s looking right back at me on the screen. He ignores the fact that I’ve caught him and absentmindedly lays his head on mine. The position only lasts for a brief second before he’s back to his animated self when Owen asks him a question.
My eyes fall heavier and heavier with each blink before they refuse to open. In and out, my breathing slows to an even draw and I can feel my weight slowly relax onto Charlie’s shoulder. It doesn’t seem to affect him at all as he sits off the back of the couch.
“Is she asleep?”
“I don’t know, let’s ask. Y/n, are you asleep?”
“Charlie, you’re such an idiot, leave her alone.”
I feel the infinitesimal pressure of his breath against the top of my head when he leans down to press a loving kiss to where my hair has parted on his shoulder. He then traces the knuckle of his index finger down the side of my exposed cheek before resuming his conversation with Owen about weird fan mail they’ve gotten. How I love this idiot.
Tumblr media
A/n: Thank you so much for requesting. This was requested by @gillespie_charlie. This was requested from my other account that I post these too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your POV
Nine months later
I was in the kitchen washing the dishes when I felt a sharp pain near my lower abdomen. I let out a groan of pain, but felt something running down my leg. I looked down to find out that my water broke. I shouted for Charlie to come quickly.
“ Baby, what’s wrong?” he said rushing in
I turned to face him, but still holding on to the counter.
“ It’s time. The baby’s coming!” I said
He looked at me with wide eyes, but ran to grab the things we needed for the journey. I let out another groan in pain.
“ Charlie hurry please!” I shouted
“ I’m coming baby.” he said
I then felt his arms go under my knees and then I was being lifted off the floor. I wrapped one of my arms around the back of his neck to hold on.
“ It’s going to be okay darling.” He reassured me while speed walking to get to the car.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We were about five minutes from the hospital when I got another sharp pain. Charlie moved his eyes from the road for a split second before going back to the road. I felt him rub little circles on my leg to calm me down a little.
Charlie’s POV
Right when I parked the car I rushed over to Y/n’s side to help her inside. I was speed walking with her in my arms.
“ Someone! My wifes in labor!” I shouted even though I didn’t need to.
“ Okay, put her down here sir.” a nurse said
Once she was down they started taking her to a room which I followed. When we got to the room I started getting a little anxious.
Your POV
While I was getting hooked up to all the machines I saw Charlie pacing.
“ Baby. come here.” I said
He looked over and carefully walked around to the other side of me.
“ Alright, everything looks super good. You should be able to push soon.” the nurse said
We both smiled and I thanked her. She then pushed a few buttons before leaving the room.
“ Are you excited to meet her?” I asked Charlie
He smiled at me and nodded. “ Yea super excited. Did you ever pick a name?” he asked
“ Yea, want to hear it?” I questioned
I saw his smile grow. “ What is it? Tell me please!”
I let out a giggle due to his excitement. “ Well, I was thinking about Carly Anne Gillespie.”
“ It’s perfect. Your perfect.” he said leaning down to my lips
Before our lips touched I whispered “ Smooth gillespie.”
He let out a chuckle before giving my lips a gentle kiss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was lying on my side a little due to the epidural they gave me for the pain. I could hear Charlie talking to someone through his phone.
“ Yea, dude. We’re at the hospital right now.”
My guess is either Owen or Jeremy. I saw him looking over at me so I smiled. He gave me one back until going back to talking to the person. There was a knock on the door and when it opened my nurse smiled.
“ It’s time! Are you ready to push?”
I let out a nervous laugh, but nodded my head. She gently touched my shoulder.
“ It’s going to be okay sweetie.” I gave her a small smile
She then went back to setting everything up for the process.
Charlie’s POV
I was talking to Owen and Jeremy on a double facetime call with my headphones in. I was in the middle of a sentence when there was a knock on the door. I saw our nurse walk in super excited. I heard Owen’s voice say something, but didn’t answer. I turned back to the phone and told them.
“ Alright guys it’s time, so I’ll talk to you guys soon.”
They both said good luck before we all hung up. I then put my phone and headphones away to head back to Y/n/n.
“ You ready dad.” Rachel said
I looked up to find our nurse looking at me. I smiled and nodded.
“ I’m pumped.” I told her
She let out a laugh before more people came to help us with the birth of our daughter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was watching the whole process with Y/n/n’s hand holding mine super tight which I didn’t really mind. If it helps her with the pain I won’t object to her from squeezing so tight. I heard Rachel say…
“ You're almost done sweetie. One more push and you're done.”
I felt her squeeze my hand again then we both heard the cries of our daughter.
“ Congrats you two!” Rachel said
I thanked her while she placed her on top of Y/n/n’s chest.
Your POV
I was physically exhausted, but powered through it for my daughter. Rachel gently placed her on me so that I could hold her.
“ Have you guys picked a name?” She asked
Charlie answered “ Her name is Carly Anne Gillespie.”
Rachel smiled at the name. She then walked away to write everything down. Charlie then asked to hold her which made me smile. He took her carefully out of my arms and walked around with her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s been about two days or so with Carly and it’s been a blast. I was actually getting her ready to head home today. I was packing up when I felt arms wrap around my waist.
“ Hey princess. How is everything going?” Charlie asked
I smiled and then leaned in for a kiss which I gave him.
The both of us then grabbed our things while I then picked Carly up in her car seat. We headed out of the hospital saying bye to everyone on the way out. When we got to the car I opened the back door and strapped Carly in before heading to my seat.
Charlie’s POV
I looked to my right to find soft snores coming from Y/n/n while in the back were even more little snores coming from. I smiled at my two girls before focusing back on the road.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I parked the car and gently shook Y/n awake, so that we could go inside.
“ Hey sleeping beauty.”
I saw her eye’s flutter open. She gave me a tired smile and helped me take things inside. She then grabbed Carly out of the car. When we got inside the door Koa came running up to us. I bent down to give him some attention.
“ Hey Koa. Do you want to meet someone?”
I turned to Y/n which made her smile. I gently held Koa back so she could set Carly’s car seat down. Koa kept trying to get out of my hold, but I held on strong. Y/n then gave me a nod, so I realised Koa. I heard her say…
“ Koa gentle. This is the new family member.”
I smiled and grabbed my phone to snap a picture of the three of them. I was going to set that up as my lock screen later.
Third Person POV
The Gillepsie household was always filled with goofy and chaotic energy. When Carly Anne came she added so much more chaotic energy. Charlie could already tell that she was going to turn into a mini him. Y/n was offended by Charlie’s thoughts, but was excited for another Charlie in the house. Koa was especially happy to have a little friend to chill with. Everyone from the cast got to meet her from a zoom call since they all were at their home towns.
Charlie’s POV
It was around ten when I heard snores coming from the bedroom, so I walked in to find Y/n/n, Carly and Koa all curled up together. I decided to change and join the sleepover.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First I would like to say sorry for all the little jumps I did in the story. Second of all I hope you enjoy and feel free to request more.
If any of you want you can pick your daughter's name I just chose that name because I liked  it, but I don't mind if you want to pick a different one.
Enjoy again!!!
