Q: "Question to Max and Charles. You had incidents with each other but you always came out debriefing and talking even more. Is that a testimony of the bond over the years of racing you've done with each other?"
Max: "I had to steer a bit left at the start. We had a little moment. I explained to Charles what happened and it would also be the debriefing. I think it's something we do naturally. We did that already from back in the day in go karting. So it's nice when you had fun race and you have some battles. There's always something to talk about."
Charles: "Yeah exactly. But I think the debriefs we had back in the day were a bit more tense!".
Max: "Just an incHident!"
Charles: "Yeah [laughs]. But now we are a bit calmer and we grew up together. I know Max very very well as a driver. [...] We had fun and we spoke about it. He explained the situation and it was fine."

Wickford, Essex
You had asked Charles and Lando to stay in the car when you pulled into your mother’s driveway but they had ignored your wishes. They had listened to your worries the entire flight and tried to reassure you that the thoughts you had were all the worst possible outcomes, not the likeliest. They reminded you how much your mother loved you and has always been your biggest supporter. Your biggest fear was losing that.
“This isn’t just your responsibility,” Lando said as he took your hand, Charles taking the other. “We got into this together.”
“And we are going to keep doing this together, mon amour.”
The door had opened before you reached the porch and she watched passively and you climbed the steps.
“Is everything okay, sweetheart?” she asked, knowing you had been replaced but not the reason why.
You shook your head and it opened the dam for the tears you had been trying to hold back the entire drive. Of all the people that had the right to know the news, she was the one you were most afraid to tell. You didn’t want to disappoint her the way her parents had been disappointed when she had you.
“Aw, honey, come here.” She opened her arms for you and like a child you rushed towards the comfort she could offer.
“I fucked up, mum,” you confessed as she squeezed you tighter. You had been taller than her since you were a teenager but in her arms you still felt like a small child and it reminded you of just how unprepared you were to do this for yourself, to be the emotional support for a child relying on you. “You should probably sit down.”
You followed her silently into the living room and Charles closed the door behind. She was getting nervous and you noticed how she straightened the coasters on the coffee table with meticulous care to keep her hands busy.
You felt sick as you sat down beside her and reached into your pocket. Lando and Charles floated in your periphery but neither took a seat, opting to stand close while Lando bit his fingernails before Charles pulled his hand away from his mouth.
“What’s going on, honey? You didn’t get arrested in Qatar, did you?”
“Um, no, but I…here.” She frowned as you unfolded the picture and handed it over. A few seconds passed without a reaction as she stared at the sonogram and you couldn’t handle the silence. “I know you worked your ass off to get me into racing and I’ve always wanted to make you proud and I’m so sorry, mum. I have no seat, no team, no job.”
She placed the picture down on her lap and took your shaking hands, squeezing them until you lifted your head to meet her warm eyes. “I’m sorry, sweetheart. I’m sorry that you were so scared to tell me. I know I probably haven’t painted the greatest picture of motherhood and I’m sorry for that. But you are not me, honey. You may not have a seat, but you do have a team,” she said, nodding her head to Charles and Lando before picking up the photo and placing it in your hands, closing your fingers around it. “And you have the most important job in the world now.”
You wiped away the teardrop that landed on the photo and looked back at her. “You’re not disappointed with me?”
“No, honey, you’ve never disappointed me and you never will. I do wish you could have waited a few more years though.”
“Me too,” you sighed, relaxing back into the couch as the fear and anxiety finally flooded from your body.
“Why don’t you go lie down, you look exhausted.”
You nodded and held your hands out for Charles to pull you to your feet. “Told you there was nothing to worry about,” he hummed in your ear.
“I assume you are staying a few days before we head to Austin?”
Lando took your spot on the couch and grabbed the tv remote. “If that’s alright with you. It’s probably better to lay low for a few days.”
“You’re not hiding from Max again, are you?”
Their voices faded as you went to the bedroom and curled up on the bed, patting the space beside you. “Please?”
Charles smiled softly and climbed in, opening his arm so you could scoot up against him and drape one leg over his. “Have I told you how much I love you?”
“Not in this timezone,” you chuckled, tugging his shirt up so you could play with the happy trail that disappeared into his jeans. “But you are welcome to show me.”
“Chérie, your mum is down the hall,” he groaned as your palm caressed him over the denim.
“It didn’t stop you last time we were here.”
“She wasn’t awake.” He brought your hand back up his body to rest over his heart and kissed your lips. “Later, promise. How are you feeling?”
“Like a weight has been lifted,” you admitted with a small smile. “What about you? How are you so calm about all this?”
Charles stared at the roof remembering the moment he found out you were pregnant, the doctor skipping through the information like he wasn’t just flipping the whole world on its head. He had been too stunned to speak and your hand slipped from yours to slam lifelessly against the metal rails. He wouldn’t tell you that part though and when he recovered from the shock he had picked your hand back up, kissing it softly as he made silent promises to you, and the baby.
“Because I love you, and I love Lando, and I always hoped we would have a family together one day.”
You tipped your head back so you could smile up at him. “One day, you mean, far away.”
The hard pillow beneath your head bounced with his quiet laugh. “Good timing has never been our thing, has it, amour?”
It had taken years of pining for each other before anything actually happened and everyone was single at the same time. “I suppose not. But do you know what this means?”
His hand laid atop yours as you placed it on your stomach. “What?”
“I won the bet.”
Tumblr media
You woke to an empty bed and laughter down the hall. Now that you weren’t training there was no reason to rise before the sun and go for a run, you had even managed to out-sleep Lando. Rubbing your bleary eyes, you padded to the dining room to see your baby photos spread out on the table.
“Charles, spot the difference,” Lando said as he held a photo up beside you and laughed.
“I can’t, they are the same,” Charles chuckled.
Snatching the picture, you turned it over to reveal a toddler sized version of you in a pair of pyjamas and your hair equally messy. “I’ll remember this when your parents get here,” you threatened as you reached for Charles’ coffee only for him to move it from your reach. “Be nice - I’m pregnant.”
Charles curled his arm around your waist and pulled you onto his knee while Lando disappeared into the kitchen. “I know you are pregnant, which is why there is no more coffee for you.”
“Peppermint or chamomile?”
You resigned yourself to their protective nature and answered Lando over the sound of the kettle boiling. “Peppermint, I guess. Did you really have to bring out the baby album?”
Your mum started to collect the pictures back up and pack them into the storage box they came from. “You were a cute baby, and look at the gene pool - your little one is going to be gorgeous too. Have you decided on a name?”
You wrinkled your nose as a steaming mug of tea was sat down where a strong coffee should have been. “No. Last week I didn’t even know I was pregnant and they can’t even decide if the surname will be Leclerc-Norris or Norris-Leclerc.”
“Alphabetical, of course,” Lando scoffed.
Charles immediately countered him. “Everybody knows it’s age before beauty.”
“And here we go again.” You rolled your eyes and warmed your hands on the mug as a thought made you laugh. “I could really shock the world and go with Verstappen.”
That silenced their argument.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding,” you reassured them as your mother went to make her famous blueberry muffins for later. “What time is everyone getting here?”
You were far more relaxed after breaking the news to your mother now that it came to telling Lando and Charles’ family. The Leclercs were coming from Monaco and the Norris’ were driving from Bristol, and you had quietly hired the local Inn for a few nights to house them all. You knew you could trust Mr Gainsbury to keep quiet about what he heard or saw in the pub that was going to be closed for a ‘private function’.
Lando checked his phone eagerly to see if there were any updates from his parents or for the flight from Nice. “About 3. Max is on his way too, with Vicky and the boys.”
You still couldn’t believe it was Lando who was the most excited to break the news. Your Lando, who avoided any sense of conflict, was itching to tell not just the family but the world that he was going to be a father. It almost hurt to keep him silent, but he understood why you wanted everything to remain private.
“This is turning out bigger than Christmas,” you muttered.
“This is more special than Christmas. Christmas happens every year, but this…” you could hear the smile in Charles' words as he cradled your stomach, “is our first child.”
You leant back against him and chuckled when Lando pulled your feet up onto his lap to massage them. “I didn’t know you were so interested in becoming fathers.”
“I didn’t know I wanted a McLaren 720s Spider until I drove one,” Lando smirked.
“Did you just compare our sweet to a test drive, mon cher?”
Lando realised his mistake and quickly tried to back track as you laughed at the attempts to explain his way out. Finally he gave up and sulked while his massage shifted higher up your calves until he found the sensitive spot behind your knees. A small needy gasp escaped at the work his hands were doing and Charles shifted beneath you at the sound.
“I think we should go for a drive,” he suggested in your ear.
Your eyes darkened at the offer and you smirked as you wriggled on your seat. “In the SUV with the very, very tinted windows, and the seats that fold down into a bed?”
Charles groaned, lightly slapping your thigh for teasing him. “Oui. That one.”
You raced to the bathroom so you could at least brush your teeth and hair to be semi presentable for the planned park up before changing into a dress and grabbing your purse. Both of them were already at the front door when you turned and called out. “Mum, we’re going shopping, do you want anything while we are out?”
“No, thank you,” she replied from the kitchen. “Have fun.”
Lando and Charles shared a smirk. “We plan to.”

Charles on LEC: "The Chocolate Crunch flavour is the one that most looks like Ferrari this season. There is something crunchy and we can look forward to something very nice during this season. A lot of people celebrate after the race with an ice cream, so it's a nice thing for that reason too. Carlos Sainz also has a sweet tooth for example."

Christian ‘angry bird’ Horner finding out about your and maxs little wind up on the car
The Real Prize - Consequences || MV1
Pre-Gala || The Real Prize || Jealousy || Panties || Captivity || Rocky || Escaping || Thighs || Consequences || A Mile High
You were drowsy, your feet still tangled in the bed that was empty on one side but it Christian’s voice that woke you up.
“Max, we need to have a little chat.”
“Is this about the party? We have been celebrating winning the championship for weeks now, can’t we have one night-”
“I believe these belong to you.”
You drew the sheet around your body and crept to the bedroom door, peeking through the crack where it hadn’t been closed completely.
“Where did you get those!” Max whispered harshly, his hand snatching the item you didn’t have time to see.
“Well, interesting story you see. Those were inside the cockpit of the RB19. I assume you would have no idea about that though, would you?”
Max hid his hand behind his back and you slapped a hand over your mouth as you gasped. You had forgotten all about your panties when you left the storage room, never even thought about where they had ended up.
“Not a clue,” Max murmured as he scratched the back of his neck.
“Good, then we will never mention this again,” Christian stated with a no-nonsense nod. “I was young too once, Max. Just try to be a little more careful in the future, for her sake and yours. If something like this got out…it’s always the woman who suffers.”
Max’s face turned serious and he realised the position he had put you in. He thought himself as invincible but you didn’t have the same immunity he found through his infamy. “I’ll be more careful,” he promised.
He walked his boss back to the door and said their goodbyes before you watched Max hide the panties beneath the pile of last night's clothes.
“I heard him, you don’t have to hide it,” you said as you opened the door wider.
“I didn’t want you to feel embarrassed,” he admitted as he stepped into the room. He took your hand and led you to the bed where he pulled you down into his arms. “I’m sorry.”
“It wasn’t your fault, we both made the choice, and it was fun.” You covered your face as it felt hotter than the sun. “I just don’t know how I am going to face him again.”
“If it helps, him and Geri were caught joining the mile high club on my plane.” Max grimaced at the memory of getting drunk on a long haul flight. He had stumbled off to the bed to find it already occupied.
You were stunned for a moment, still trying to imagine that happening before your head fell back with a laugh. “No, that doesn’t help at all.”

Leclerc! Sister and her brothers definitely have sweet sibling evenings which ends with all four passed out and Pascale sending the pictures to their partners who then cue at them.
ya know, I haven’t answered your last ask because i’m procrastinating it, so I’ll give you this one
When you and your brothers were growing up, Pascale made sure to make it a habit that you have a family day every week. Meaning no matter how busy you are, whether it be school or work, you have to make a free time and spend it with the rest of the family. And let’s just say Pascale was successful in keeping that habit alive now that you are all adults.
It was early Tuesday morning when you, Charles, and Arthur arrived home in Monaco for a break since the race tired all of you out. Your significant other (any driver) couldn’t accompany you because he was needed back in their headquarters while Charles’ gf had her own errand. You quietly entered your home as you knew your mum and Lorenzo were sleeping. You kissed your younger brothers good night before retiring to your own bedroom.
Sighing softly as you closed your door, you leaned against it, taking soft and steady breaths as you knew what was gonna happen today. You loved family days, it was everything. You and your siblings bonding, chatting, spilling teas, even arguing about everything while Maman just watched is everything. But sometimes life could drain you especially when you had an awful race week. So freshening yourself up, you slid under the comfort of your duvet and snuggling on your pillow as you slowly drifted to slumber.
A few hours after, you were awakened by shouting and arguing downstairs which signalled you to get up already. You grumbled to yourself about your sleeping getting cut short before preparing yourself then heading out downstairs. Dragging your legs to the kitchen, you were greeted by Lorenzo and Charles fighting what they should make the four of you for breakfast, and being to tired to join them, you pushed past them and started cooking, doing it yourself.
The two started protesting until you raised one hand while the other cracked eggs into the pan. They both shut up and you mentally sighed in relief as you instructed them to fix the dining table and wake up Maman and Arthur. Both of them being to scared to argue, followed immediately.
Even though Lorenzo is the eldest out of the four of you, he was terrified of you, and you had never found out why. But honestly, it was funny to your side, watching your supposedly other brother scrambling and scared of you whenever you’re pissed or not in the mood.
Finishing what you were cooking, you served them on the dining table right on time as Maman and Arthur walked down the steps, Charles and Lorenzo following behavely behind them. Sitting down on your respective chairs with Pascale in the middle, you all said your prayers before digging in on your food. The first to speak up was Arthur complimenting your cooking while the two others stayed quiet.
Maman noticing something was up, she immediately brought it up and you started explaining what happened so early in the morning. Pascale only sighed, wondering to herself why the four of you always gets into a fight with each other when you all grew close and sweet to one another.
Maman stood up as she finished her food before announcing that she was going out. The four of you looked at her in disbelief before raising your concern how it was suppose to be family day today and that she should be here. But she was having none of it, shutting all of you down before going upstairs.
Completely shunned, you leaned on your backseat, your shoulders sagging, your three brothers doing completely the same clearly disappointed. All of you stayed in the same spot, not moving one inch as Maman bid you good bye, shutting the door behind her.
Minutes passed and none of you did anything as silence filled the whole house, until you felt your stomach grumble. So you sat back up and finished your meal before putting your plate in the sink and going to the living room, shouting behind you that the last one to finish their food will be the one responsible for washing all the plates and utensils used.
As soon as you finished what you were saying, you heard spoons and forks clinking with each other as the three started competing with each other other. Laughing to yourself, you reminded them to slow down and chew their food properly as you sat comfortably on the couch.
The two that came out of the dining room was Arthur and Lorenzo, meaning that the one left in the other room complaining was none other than your fellow middle sibling, Charles. You laughed to yourself as you switched the telly on while Arthur sat to your left and Lorenzo on the solo sofa. So when Charles finished his chore, he sat to your right, making you sandwiched between your two younger siblings.
Finally choosing something to watch, the four of you sat in silence as you focused on the film, sometimes making comments and starting a discussion about the movie. After the movie, the four of you decided to play the simulator competing with one another. You decided to call each other as you were in your respective rooms, playing on your own different set up. As you all played against each other, you accidentally hit Arthur’s rear and he got pissed that both of you started a discourse that heated up.
You and Arthur rarely had fights, but when you both did get into one, it was the worst that could happen. A lot of different things can be brought up when you both fought, so before it escalated, Lorenzo and Charles dropped their games and headed to each of your room, stopping both of you from talking.
Hours has passed by and it was almost sun down when you and Arthur calmed down and made peace with one another. That was when Lorenzo suggested, you all go to your secret hideout where all of you watched the sun as it set when you were younger.
Agreeing almost immediately, the four of you hiked for a while as you reached your secret spot. It was a small, abandoned building that was built in an elevated part of the country, high enough to look over the ocean. When you reached the highest floor, the four of you sat on the edge of the structure, you in the middle of Charles and Arthur again, while Lorenzo sat beside Arthur.
As the sun began meeting the ocean, you leaned on your head on Charles’ shoulder, reaching out for his hand and squeezing it in a sisterly, assuring kinda way. Charles gave you a soft smile as both of you had a silent connection being the middle child and all.
While watching the view, you all started talking about memories you all cherished, laughing and teasing one another as cringe memories were brought up. And when the sun finally disappeared against the horizon and the moon came out to brighten the dark sky, the four of you lie down on the roof, pointing at the stars and still reminiscing about your life as kids.
Lorenzo realising how late it was and how the three of you still have flights the next day, decided to wrap it up. You, Charles, and Arthur wanted to protest but you understood that your older brother, so you all followed him.
Arriving home, you immediately went straight to your bedroom and hopping on your bed as you quickly started dozing off. But it was shortly disturbed when Charles jumped on your bed too, followed by Arthur and Lorenzo. When you started whining about not having personal space, the three squeezed you more between the three of them.
When you figured out that you were not gonna have any space, you stayed quiet, enjoying the presence of your brothers as they huddled and provided you warmth. Slowly dozing to sleep, you whispered good night to your brothers. The three of them hearing your words made them smile as they said it back to you, kissing your cheeks before going to sleep too.
When Pascale came home and noticed the house was too quiet for her own liking, she started becoming suspicious like what if you all already dueled to death. So she immediately rushed in the house, but seeing it empty and dark and not covered in blood, it didn’t relieve her. So she went up the stairs and saw the Lorenzo, Charles, and Arthur’s room was empty, and she started worrying. But when she heard soft snores in your room, her chest started to loosen up as she realised what was happening.
Opening the doors softly, she was greeted by her children all sleeping snuggly, cuddling with one another. More like squeezing each other. Lorenzo slept at the edge of the bed, and Charles on the other side, while you were in the middle of them, and Arthur diagonally placed on top of all three of you. Pascale smiled to herself, thinking how her plan was a success.
Wanting to keep the memory, she took a snap of all of you, mentally taking note that she needs this printed out and framed. She kissed you and your brothers’ foreheads, fixing the blanket so it was covering all four of you, before turning off the lights.
But before she retired for the day, she opened her mobile phone and sent the photo on the groupchat she made with all of your significant others with a caption, “look at your Leclercs’ completely passed out.”
