Newest pet peeve: post-canon fics that insist on calling Chariot "Ursula" as if this wasn't just a madeup persona Chariot abandoned at the end of the story when everybody found out her true identity and when, thanks to Akko, she forgave herself for her past sins, as if keeping her hair red wasn’t enough of a giveaway

Akko literally says she loves Ursula/Chariot, and yet nobody talks about it. I am thoroughly disappointed by this.

Yes, after watching LWA and diving into the fandom I was disappointed too. I thought a lot more people would ship them. I mean their connection is just so overt, is it not?

Like all the times Ursula put her life on the line to protect Akko….

Longer-than-necessary hugs….

Stroking the hair and touching the face.. an incredibly intimate gesture…..

And of course we can’t forget…

“You’re fine with me?”

“Sensei is just fine”

“Thank you, Sensei. I love you”

“Akko.. You made my dream come true”

When Chariot says “You made my dream come true” she uses the word “anata” which (in my opinion anyway) is pretty intense. 

So then, why? Why is nobody noticing this?

That’s because a lot of people regard Chariot as a motherly figure to Akko. However, every time someone calls her “Akko’s mom” I cringe. Ursula is much too young to be a motherly figure to Akko.

If anything, she’s like an older sister to Akko.. and as a lot of seasoned yuri fans know, the “mature onee-sama/naive imouto” type pairings are common.

I think that Akko and Ursula have the strongest emotional bond in the show. Their connection is so precious and there’s so much affection. They truly care about each other and love each other.. Almost like an agape love. True love.

The fact that Ursula is Akko’s teacher make a lot of people uncomfortable to consider shipping them, which is why people immediately put the “mom hat” on Ursula. And you know, that’s fine. LWA is open for shipping and people are free to call her “Akko’s mom” if that’s what they interpret her as.

But that also means that people are free to NOT consider her as a mom type. :)

I’m bouta say something that’s gonna make some people angry but here goes...

CHARIAKKO IS A BAD AND INVALID SHIP BECAUSE SHIPPING MINORS WITH ADULTS AIN’T COOL AND DON’T USE “AGED UP” AS AN EXCUSE.

I’m just really sick of seeing people online (ESPECIALLY on Twitter) ship this. It is just wrong in so many ways and it’s a clearly pedophilic ship. I mean hell, I’d rather ship Ankko and I personally don’t really like it, but at least it’s not this pedo bullshit. All I hear are excuse of “Oh it’s just a hot for teacher ship” or “But they’re aged up” and it’s really just disgusting tbh.

So please, PLEASE, I am begging y’all not to support this ship because it’s really disgusting and needs to be stopped.
