What do you think of Pigella's design? Personally, I don't hate it but I feel like it doesn't do a good job of representing the pig element as nothing about it shows she's pig-themed (she doesn't even have a pigtail or something to represent a pig's tail and that is a pig's signature thing). One reason for this might be due to color since Pigella's color scheme is pink, dark pink, and white and those last two just kinda throw it off. I think a better color scheme would be pink, dark grey, and black or pink and a blackish brown (or brownish black) or pink and redish brown.

I really like the pig miraculous design, since it’s the power of jubilation the pig holder should look bright and approachable. I love the white and pink swirls, the tutu could be fixed a bit but I love Pigella’s design. I think it really suits Rose.

Hot take: Toxinelle's design for the most part isnt as great as everyone makes it out to be, much less it being groundbreaking or the best emo design, since it's barely anything new at all:

it's just her head that's amazingly designed and the fact that Ladybug's regular suit honestly couldn't set the bar any lower.

Griffe Noire on the other hand is actually punk through and through. Not giving a single shit what you think of his look and being the punkest bitch by even going with a feminine-coded name in the french original bc he doesn't care about your single-minded bs when you for some reason automatically think he MUST be female just because he has two "e"s in his name:

One of these two got one hell of a save design where barely a single risk was taken so she remains universally pretty for every viewer

And the other one actually was allowed to embody a whole new fashion style and life style, that fits perfectly as an extension of his OG character, merely things went south.

In my opinion there is no competition who got the better character design.

It's the one that actually does something for the character besides looking pretty, cool and being inoffensively save.

I'll give you a hint: it ain't Toxinelle.

Just to clarify this, I'm not saying I fell out of love for Toxinelle's design to be a b*tch. I'm saying it from the stands of me wanting the show to put the same amount on effort into Marinette's designs as Adrien's.

Griffe Noire is allowed to be straight up punk and yet the most I can give Toxinelle is that her design is Gothic-INSPIRED:

Again, her head is the most well designed part and especially the mask going underneath her chin, the amazing hair style and the conveniently fitting red-black color scheme works perfectly for Gothic.

As are her already incorporated gloves, the fact that she's wearing a mask in the first place and her dark makeup. Especially her vampire red eyes (like Monarque Bug, I love that detail) and I'll also give credit to how the upper red part of her body suit looks like a sleeveless dress and the little Ladybug symbol looking like a necklace.

All that combiened with her overall Gothic-elegance shows how AMAZING Toxinelle could have looked if they had for once taken an actual risk with her and prioritized what the fashion style is actually supposed to be over her looking universally pretty for every viewer.

I'm being nitpicky here because of how frustrating I find it that Griffe Noire has such a phenomenal character design, straight up one of the best in the show, and yet Marinette is still stuck with the same one-layer body suits a la "just this time the stripes go to the left"

Character design is not decided by if EVERYONE thinks they look great. The priority is what the character design does for the character. It's visual story telling.

I personally dress much more like Juleka or Emo Marinette in real life and yet in my opinion it's still crystal clear that Rose as Pigella has one of the best hero character designs because of how unapologetically ROSE it is:

I personally don't have to want to wear it or even like it at all to think it's one of the best ones because of the simple fact that this design embodies Rose's PERSONALITY (as does her whole transformation) and tells me more about her.

Especially in direct comparison with Griffe Noire, or even civilian emo Adrien probably wearing his dead mother's jacket while Adrien HAS TO keep dressing more low-key, Toxinelle barely tells me a thing about this Marinette's personality besides "slay Queen"

Because there IS no personality. The most you can get out of this is her being even more uptight and closed off because of how her collar directly blends into her mask, keeping her in a visual choke hold.

But that's mostly it. For Griffe Noire they explicitly went with punk fashion, meaning everything punk stands for can now be put into new context with Adrien.

But Toxinelle barely embodies a fashion style, she's just Gothic-INSPIRED (at most). And that's such a shame because Gothic, especially if you wanna use it in a darker way, was a PERFECT fashion style to utilize here.

The most common Gothic styles are inspired by Victorian funeral wear and give off an aura of authority, seriousness and melancholic detachment, being kept in the past (this is in no way meant as generalization, fashion is complex)

In what reality COULDN'T we have gone with that for Toxinelle? She would have been the perfect complimentary style for Griffe Noire by her side.

And we don't even need to go with a dress. Gothic women wear pants too:

Can you imagine how amazing she could have looked as an actual goth? How much visual story telling through FASHION they could have put into her design when the evil Ladybug is a vampire goth whose fashion is inspired by funeral wear??

Team Miraculous Headcanons!

(Note: I feel like the temp heros arent fleshed out as much so im only talking about their role on the team and the difference between their civilian and hero persona.)

Ladybug & Chat Noir: you already know.

Rena Rouge & Carapace: Just like the two lovebirds up there, I think there personalities swap in their hero personas. While Alya is the more rational one and Nino the coming up with crazy ideas, Rena is the crazy idea girl and Carapace is the one that wants everyone to think things through. In combat, Carapace is a frontliner like Chat Noir but with meatshield bent. Rena rarely sees combat because she's more of a mission control/guy in the chair/Navigator and yes I can randomly make persona references that supports the team from the shadows with illusions and spying on the villain.

Queen Bee: This might contradict canon but idc, Queen Bee is nice! Like yeah, she still insults her teammates, but not to their faces anymore! Chloe's making an effort to not be bad and she's failing, but it's the thought that counts right? In battle, Chloe is just doing her best Ladybug impression and it's not too bad.

Vesperia: If Queen Bee is Chloe trying to be nice, then Vesperia is Zoe being a savage! The girl has a lot of pent up anger from living with Audrey and Chloe at the same time, so she deserves to cut loose a bit. Vesperia is one of the heroes that uses the most taunts and insults against villains, sometimes to bait them but most of the time it's just her being a little bad. She's a frontliner but with an emphasis on dodging hits and grabbing attention.

Viperion: Luka is approachable, Viperion is not. He has creepy eyes and half of Paris is convinced he's psychic and can read minds (which isn't entirely wrong, he just reads emotions). The bad rep dosen't bother Luka too much, but it gets annoying when his teammates are scared of him.

Pegasus: Despite being a nerd, Max really isn't an uptight person. As long as something dosen't endanger himself, he's open to trying new things. Pegasus isn't. He lowkey believes he's surrounded by idiots including Ladybug (but he obeys her orders cause she hasn't really lost yet). Half of Paris is also terrified by him because he's able to pull off Batman levels of big brain during a fight.

King Monkey: Most of the temp's hero personas have different personalities but King monkey really is just Kim in monkey suit. Max has lowkey sussed out his identity, Kim suspects nothing.

Ryuko: Kagami is calm, which is why no one has figured out her identity because Ryuko is cRaZy. She's like one of those middle schoolers pretending to be their favorite anime character but WITH REAL POWERS! Villains are also scared of her because she has like 3 powers for some reason.

Purple Tigress: What more can I add? We all saw her: a raging cat lesbian. She's a berserker!

Pigella: She's like that one "threatening positivity" post: you will feel better, you have no choice >:)". the Love square between her and Tigress is real also. In fight she's like those really annoying spell casters that hypnotize your party members.

Miss Hound: When Sabrina transforms she just goes full Chloe! All the years of being mistreated come out as her being 10× meaner than any other hero! Miss Hound dodges a villains attack? "And thats why your useless, utterly useless!" She and Vesperia are besties!

miraculous heroes I want to see more of:

Luka/Viperion - doesn’t he know like miraculous martial arts now??? also I think his power is really interesting and should’ve been explored more. (I need more moments like when aspik confessed to ladybug and then rewinded lol)

JULEKA/PURPLE TIGRESS - her origin episode showed us how much depth her character actually has. I want to see her become more confident and grow into her new role as a hero. (the writers better not fuck up her development >:c) She has a lot of interesting dynamics with some of the other heroes that I’d like to explore while at least one of them is wearing the suit. Give me juleka and Luka being badass sibling superheroes without knowing and growing increasingly suspicious of each other being their sibling. Give me purple tigress being considering for civilian rose’s safety and pigella ensuring her that rose is okay. GIVE ME JULEKA LEARNING TO TRUST OTHERS🙏!!!

FELIX/ARGOS - even though Félix is friends with the miraculous team, I’d much rather have him do some detective work with Kagami to find the butterfly miraculous (primarily before the new Hawk moth debuts, but I guess he could try to find out Lila’s identity, too). Maybe max and lb could help out every once in a while. I don’t think he’s really a teamwork kind of guy, so it would be cool to get an episode or two focusing on his investigative work during the season 5-6 time gap.

Kessa-Rooks and Ruin

Qualifications:

Has almost debilitating "melancholia", almost certainly a depressive disorder. Is implied to be asexual and has romantic relationships with women.

She has a disorder called Melancholia which seems extremely similar to depression. She’s also sapphic and has a crush on another girl in the series, and is confirmed to be asexual, and heavily implied to be arospec (likely Demi or grey)

Propaganda:

Kessa is a spy and the charisma stat member of her squad. Despite this, she bucks the classic stereotype of attractive spy women being seductresses and instead prefers to befriend or distract people. Her character is an excellent portrayel of someone with a depressive disorder as she is among the most upbeat seimg characters despite suffering from random attacks of sadness she uses medication to control. She is described by a magical empath as being sometimes "happy and sad at the same time" and she agrees that it doesn't make sense but that it's true regardless. She's also in a healthy asexual WLW couple. Also she has plant magic, which makes her inherently cool.

Do you like asexuals? Do you like lesbians? Do you like depression? Do you like spies? Do you like depressed asexual lesbian spies (who are also very likely demiromantic)? Then you should vote for Kessa!!

Once again from your Disney AU, but this time with Juleka as Malificent and Rose as Queen Candy?

Juleka was never really “evil,” just a girl who put her trust in the wrong people

Some jackass, (Canon Gabriel) befriended her, acted as a father figure, only to cut off her beautiful purple wings just so he could become king

It also stung that she wasn’t invited to his son’s Christening. Now that’s a bull move! Everyone was invited!

So, of course, she cursed the baby with eternal sleep if he pricked his finger on the needle of a spinning wheel when he turned sixteen

Because that’s how pissed she was at the king, don’t judge her

It doesn’t help Juleka feel justified when the baby is just so damn cute! He doesn’t even cry when she shows him her fangs

After the three good fairies brought Adrien to safety, Juleka had her brother Luka, a shapeshifter follow them in the form of a crow

He’s bitter about Gabriel, too

So now, they watch over Adrien when the fairies aren’t around. Then Adrien turns sixteen and it’s time to meet his fate

Figuring out a way to piss off Gabriel ever further, Juleka has Luka pose as the Princess fated to wake Adrien up with a kiss… And then shift back to himself right in front of Gabriel

So now, unfortunately for Gabriel, he’s in-laws with Juleka, and Adrien and Luka have biological kids because shapeshifters are intersex

Meanwhile in the future

Rose is the greatest racers of all time… In a video game.

She loves winning, beating the CPUs, and life couldn’t get any better… Until the dreaded year, 1985

New games came along, her console remained untouched, and she became insanely bitter, so much that she glitched into some modern games just to get noticed, breaking many video game laws and getting games unplugged

Soon, she found the most popular game to inhabit, Miraculous Rush, a racing game. She hacked the game’s system and took on a new identity as Princess Pigella (Alliteration)

No one remembers the game prior to her hacking it

She spends the rest of her days winning every single game using her own sequence of cheat codes

And, as a result of her hacking the system, she turned a previous character into a glitching outcast, Zoé

Anyway, a video game character (Ivan) travels into Miraculous Rush, meets Zoé, blah blah blah, helps her compete in a race, and she would’ve won if not for Princess Pigella sabotaging her with each lap, becoming more deranged as Zoé bests her

Oh, and earlier, Ivan accidentally led a parasitic antagonist from another game into Miraculous Rush, it laid eggs, merged their code with some of the code in Miraculous Rush, and now they’re running all over the game

Back to the present- One of the Parasites attacks Princess Pigella while she’s racing, and merges with her code while also exposing herself as Rose

Now, she would’ve taken over the entire gaming worked, killed Ivan, and destroyed Zoé’s code if not for some weird purple light pulling her and the rest of her minions into some weird technology-barren world

There, she meets the new Queen of what was once Gabriel’s kingdom, Juleka

Apparently, Juleka messed up a spell, and summoned Rose, so… Now she’s stuck there. Now that she minds since Juleka is pretty

Rose tells her everything there is to know about the future and Juleka’s excited to try out soda

Occasionally, they play darts using some of Gabriel’s portraits as target practice

Rose’s parasite minions listen to Juleka as much as they do to her, so she has the target Gabriel

Rose likes to decorate Juleka’a horns with any jewelry she can find

Man, you had quite a day with the Adrien defense squad today (... and I pretty much joined them because I am just that fed up with Adrien salt).

I remembered I once told you to tone down the name calling around Adrien. At the time, it was over you calling him a dumbass for getting retconned to not know soccer and that one time you called him a manchild for having tantrums even though he is a maladjusted teen (the very same thing you would defend Chloe for). What set me off today was because you called Adrien a murderer and agreed with some rando who said he's worse than Chloe and Lila put together.

Like, dude. If you're gonna continue presenting yourself as a fair critic, going overboard with the salt is a major no-no. It'll make your critique less valid and people will call you out on it. I'd suggest getting a side blog to vent about Adrien all you want (you're entitled to your own opinion) but you gotta take the time to consider things from his perspective the way you would for characters like Marinette or Chloe.

Like how we debated over Sentibubbler. You would write him off as reckless and irresponsible even though there is a logical explanation for his behavior. He doesn't know Rena Rouge is a permanent hero, and it is suspicious she showed up while Ladybug is missing (Ladybug, the only one who can pass around the Miraculous). It wouldn't be the first time Shadowmoth tried to infiltrate their ranks with a fake hero such as sentinino or Volpina. So he wasn't unreasonable for demanding an explanation or ignoring her orders until Marinetre gave him an explanation.

And then there's the incident in the New York special, where you flat out called him a murderer over an accident. He didn't intend for it to happen. A true murderer would've intended it. And there's another side to it where Ladybug berating him in the middle of a fight tipped this situation over. It's not fair to place the blame on him alone. You can criticize him over ditching Paris all you want, but that's a different can of worms to murder. Him quitting may be seen as him running away from it, but from his perspective, relinquishing the Miraculous meant he no longer deserves to be a hero and he's willing to throw away his only ticket to freedom over his remorse for this.

In fact, this could be his mindset every time he relinquishes his Miraculous. As much as you criticize him for not being a worthy hero, no one in-universe is beating him up more over this than himself. He feels useless. His lack of attendance can be seen as negligence, but when Ladybug has over a dozen heroes to call on, some of which just stand in the sidelines doing nothing but waiting for her command, could you really blame him for thinking his absence is inconsequencial? I bet if he actually were to be present for everything and ended up doing nothing but standing next to Pigella, you'd still be salting on him.

You never give him the benefit of the doubt nor consider anything from his point of view. With Marinette, when she does something right, you can praise her straight up. When she fucks up, you're ready with a bunch of excuses like "she's under a lot of pressure guys, go easy on her". But when Adrien does something right, you can't help but throw in shade as to how he rarely does anything right. Heck, he might not even be in the scene but you're ready with a list of criticism against him at the slightest provocation. I was upset with your reviews for Ephemeral and Strikeback because of this. It's like the boy can't show up onscreen without you listing all of his shortcomings like one would sing the national anthem whenever the Adrien's flag rises.

It's not that you're wrong to criticize Adrien, it's just that you are going overboard. Sometimes it feels like you insert your beef against him even at instances where it doesn't belong.

I'm warning you. Ease up on the Adrien Salt before your valid critique devolves further into character bashing. You might find yourself someday with an unreasonable hatred towards Adrien the same way Astruc has this unreasonable hatred for Chloe.

I don't want you to apologize for your opinions. Just consider what I said. Your personal opinions are valid, but you must be conscious of where you put them in. I'm only telling you this because you seem to want to try to be as fair as you could.

You're pretty much right there, and you had every reason to call me out last night.

I went way too far with my criticisms of Adrien, and I'm pretty no much better than Astruc himself is with Chloe.

I'm going to make more of an effort to watch what I say regarding Adrien in the future and not devolve into blind hatred, I promise.

Nino knows who Rena Rouge is.

Monarch and Chloé know who Rena Rouge, Carapace, Pegasus, Viperion, Ryuko, and King Monkey are.

Everyone knows who Bunnyx is.

Luka knows who Ladybug and Chat Noir are (but didn't bother to tell either of them prior to Migration).

Alix should know who everyone is.

Félix knows who Ladybug and Ryuko are, and maybe Chat Noir. And he's the least trustworthy one there.

Meanwhile, Adrien only knows who Rena Rouge, Carapace, Pegasus, Viperion, Ryuko, Bunnyx, and Pigella are. And even after they were exposed to Hawk Moth, he didn't find out about Rena and Carapace until Nino told him.

At the very very least, tell Chat Noir who everyone on the team is.

It;s a hot fucking mess. Chat Noir, of all people, deserves to know more about the team Identities than fuckking Hawkmoth. But noooooo

It's It's It's. It's not even like knowing them will have him connect the dots back to Mari! I mean, Hawkmoth has known those identities since Season 3, but hasn't gone 'Huh. Most of these kids are in my son's fucking class. Maybe I should investigate there and see if there's any Chinese girl with pigtails who is friends with all of them and has a very 'everyday ladybug' personality!'.

We've also had some characters get Akumatized after becoming Heroes and it's not like Gabriel could use Akumatization to peek into their minds and see their identitites.

And like. Things like Chat Blanc and Ephemeral were one-off chances. There's not every possibility of leading to disaster if they do shit right. Or even just if they have Bunnyx intervene /after/ the reveal.
