Do you listen to audiobooks?

I love a good audiobook. Especially when I'm working around the house.
I am picky on narrators. Sometimes, very rarely, I'll come across one I have a hard time vibing with.
Audiobooks have also helped me a lot the last 2 years. If it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't have read as much as I have.

“ENTER THE COMPANY”

The coworkers are just fine.
It’s good to meet people with different personalities.

There are also weirdos, serious, comedians, etc.
Here I met a very friendly and sweet girl, Jasmine, who became a friend of mine.
We’re the ones who eat lunch together.
We became closer as time passed.

Then, here’s a project of the company that’s about maximizing profitability. Our group is composed of six members: me, Charlotte, Emma, Zoe, Toby, and Rey.
We started thinking about it...
Everyone contributed their ideas, especially Emma, Zoe, Rey, and me.
Then, here’s a sudden request by Steven and Jazon to present the output to them, though it’s still ongoing.
I thought it would be among the four of us who contributed most that would present, but guess what?
This bratty Charlotte insisted on presenting it to Steven and Jazon when we had the meeting, making the impression that most ideas came from her. LOL.
Another toxic trait I discovered about them was that when I put a wrong question in the file wherein, we have individual tasks of the same aspect, two other coworkers expressed their concern to me by telling me that they heard conversations about it, saying that it's wrong.
To me, what is the point of saying it out loud when I'm not around and my other coworkers who were not part of the project are hearing it?
Why not just send me a private message so I can correct it myself?
Besides, it’s just one mistake out of five questions I constructed there.
But the funny thing is, when I opened the file, all the other questions they put in their respective tabs were like the questions I put in there.
It's just that each of them just revised the sentence.
????? O_o ?????
So, I was like, “Ha?” XD
Is this a normal attitude in the corporate world?
For the desire of proving to others that they are wiser than me (if that’s their belief in being wise, LOL), they failed at considering this so-called “empathy”.
What kind of world do we live in?
We failed again as humans XD

One day, we have this examination, which is an important part of promotion.
Jasmine was just beside me. The questions are being reflected on our laptops all at the same time. I heard Jasmine whisper answers to some questions, making me think that those were her answers, so I just copied them since she’s more experienced than me.
After the exam, the results just reflected on our screen with our original answers and the correct ones...
I got 8/15
Jasmine got 12/15
“I thought C was your answer to question number 4?” I asked.
“I also thought of that, but I had a change of mind.” Jasmine answered.
Then, I sneaked a look to her answers in the questions in which she whispered answers.
And guess what?
She got the correct answers to those certain questions, while I got the wrong ones.
Instead of questioning her again,
I just ignored it even if I was obviously misled by her!
Maybe her head got hit by a rock that made her a psychotic bch?
Or maybe she had a seizure before?
Hmmm.
Well, it doesn’t matter.
But one thing is for sure, she’s a toxic manipulative bch!

One day, Jasmine invited me to her 28th birthday celebration.
I didn’t want to come, but she insisted, so I came.
I just said to myself that after this, I would make a move to distance myself from her.

So, here we are at their home, and I met her dad, Victor.
A lot of her friends came to her birthday party, as well as his dad’s neighbor friends.
Then, I roamed outside their house to see their plants.
They have plenty of it.
And then I heard their two neighbors gossiping at the back of their house...
NEIGHBOR 1: I heard Jasmine’s mom finally has a new husband.
NEIGHBOR 2: Yeah, good for her.
NEIGHBOR 1: Why do you think they broke up?
NEIGHBOR 2: We don’t know the real reason why. But we know Victor has an attitude. He’s full of himself. A narcissist. Like... He can’t accept being outshined by others, he always competes, and he always wants to be the favorite.
NEIGHBOR 1: No wonder Jasmine is with him when she’s supposed to be with her mother.
NEIGHBOR 2: We’re not sure, but that may be a reason. Do you think he’s just gay?
NEIGHBOR 1: I don’t think so.
The saying, “Fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree,” is damn so real.

Then I finally made the move to distance myself from her by joining other close coworkers I am working with. And guess what?
Since I’m the one who looked for new friends, some coworkers expressed that they are on the side of Jasmine by limiting their interaction with me, without knowing what truly happened in the past.
Besides, she’s more approachable and friendly compared to me.
So, yeah! I’m the villain of the story in the eyes of people who don’t know the full story!
What kind of world do we live in?!

And then here’s an individual project given by Steven to propose ideas that will boost sales, which we will individually execute.
I came up with the idea of establishing a stronger digital presence.
Other coworkers came up with ideas such as making new cups’ designs,
reusable cups for a 5% discount, gifting more rewards, etc.
This will be observed in the coming months to see which idea will yield the most profit.

what it's like inside my mind - Chapter 14 : 'An Honest Letter To My Writing'
If I’m being honest, about what I truly think of you,
I’d believe that this shallow depth of water that run beneath our feet will lead us to submerging ourselves,
Where the constant ticking of the clock will drowned out by blurred gunshots,
Wounds bleeding, gushing from the foresight of eternity
Pleading - to patch of bullet holes that were left within me,
Filled- by the sorrow of constant sad songs
Pulses - beating profusely faster by the minute
Shadows - echoing their cries of being left behind
Ligaments - bursting from their origins of where they were originally attached
Tattoos - bleeding from the needles that carved them
Sown hearts - screaming for their atriums & ventricles
Muscles - cramping at the sight of you
Now isn’t this all anticlimactic..
I wouldn’t dare call myself a poet yet, for I have yet to surgically remove & repair these lessons that you have bestowed upon me
Giving me the morphing power of a power ranger,
Ranging my scopes, to fight the battles of the unknown,
Splitting votes, about whether my honesty has been put to rest like the Pope
For better or worse, my message has yet to be sent to you so
If I’m being honest, about what I truly think of you,
I’d paint the world in white, for the monotone brightness that you seem to love so much would break these chains,
Allow the ink from my pen to be swerved on your skin,
Dowsing colours from these black paintings only known to me,
Painting the world, with a glory of sunshine,
Extension of hands, reaching out to the abyss,
Grabbing onto flask, to erupt these chemical reactions called love,
So this is my letter to you,
For when dusk turns dawn, & my skin turns pale
As my withered hands reeks of arthritis, & I have yet learned to fail,
Just know that these unspoken words of mine were ever so meant to reach the depths of you,
For I have only known to write letters, to the places where I have once left you.

"That thats what I lo……really like about you" He gulped and hoped you didn't hear what was said. You went to speak but you got interrupted by the others rushing into the van robin:"steve drive!!!!!" They were trying to get away from jason and his other freind. "Okay lets see what you guys got. "
You search through the bags dustin:" we got a shot gun, 2 bats, nails, knifes, bear trap, lighters ,gasoline. And bug spray ."
You grabbed the little gas can,a bat, nails and a lighter. Steve: "we're here "
You all jumped out of the van turns out you were at the hills of hawkins near the woods
You walked over to a log with all the weapon making supplies and you sit down. Eddie:"heyy " his body towering blocking the sunlight his brown hazelnut eyes looking at your eyes. his dark curls fall over his shoulders like wave against the sand. This man is beautiful.
"Hi eddie" He sat himself down to your right "whatcha makin?" "Oh hm its gonna be a bat with nails." You say as you hammered a nail into the wood. "Then whats the gas for?" He raised an eyebrow curiously. "Well after i get all of these in im gonna soak it in gas, so fire bat with nails"
"Okay well im gonna go mess with dustin bye " He ran off hm? I wonder what that was about
Eddie pov:
Steve: we're here
Everyone jumped out of the van
Oh there she is. She seems to have an idea to what she's making hmm? Let's go find out. The close he got the faster his heart rate got. "Heyy " wow she looks so cute
"Hi eddie" her voice was soft and sweet
It sent electricity through my heart.
He sits down. "Whatcha makin?"
"Oh hm ist gonna be a bat with nails "
She hammered it in in 2 seconds
Hm "whats the gas for?" The way her necklaces hang perfectly on her breasts it's beautiful . she's beautiful wait is she talking to me? Yep! Oh no fuck I'm hard I hope she doesn't notice quick think of somthing "okay well im gonna go mess with dustin bye" run munson run! Okay its gone not hard now just don't think about her.

You continue making your bat okay done lets see Robin and Nancy got guns steve also has a bat not as good as mine though eddie and Dustin made shields and spears
The way eddie looks the bandana is tied around his head now unstead of tucked in his pocket. He darts a look at you only to see you were staring it gave you and him butterflies

Fic-writing year-review for 2022- Alice version
Penner did a similar one and it inspired me to make one too, because it is fun to collect everything.
(I'm tired right now to develop it, but give me a day to heal from New Year's Eve and this entry will be shiny and contain some proper details about the fics too - also the link for those.)
Notes:
Green and Gold (GG) is a series of short-fics in what Dan and Dani lives together, try to find their place in normal daily life and meanwhile attempting to exist as siblings (of course neither of these works as easy as it sounds)
DA AU, called 'fate written in the sky' series, is also an au when both of them are hybrids. FYI, a female!PD au. My current obsession, I love exploring them.

ok so i chucked out the beginnings of chapter15 of stained sheets out that werent werking-- it was not the vibe
but i got to invest sometime into it over the past coupleof days& got about 1.5k written& im feeling confident& its on the right track which is not the track it was on to begin with
but i do have commissions to concentrate on so it wont be released by the end of this month(aka today lol). but i will do everything in my power to get it to yall within the first seven days of july& its gonna be cute& fun& literally saddle up
no previews no nuthin til chapter14 crosses the 100note mark
