SENSES AND OTHER ODDLY SPECIFIC HEADCANONS.

WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE SMELL LIKE?

pietro has a comforting smell to him. it’s hard to place exactly what it is, given the mixture of products he uses between his soap, hair care, and how he washes his clothes. it’s not an overwhelmingly manly type of smell. there’s no musk, or something that reminds you of the outdoors. he smells like the warmth of a home when you’ve had a long day out in the winter chill, it’s pleasant, doesn’t have a particular aroma, but you feel warmed by the comfort of it. if he wasn’t so moody all the time and actually let people near him, it’d make him a fantastic hugger. there’s also probably a hint of baby powder (which is mostly if you’re on a mission with him) because, hey the suit chafes if you’re not careful. it’s skin tight so, y’know, you do what you gotta do. if you’re close enough to him, you can get lingering tones of coffee which he will always blame on clint. 

WHAT DO YOUR MUSE’S HANDS FEEL LIKE?

pietro’s hands are usually always warmed to the touch, unless he’s sleeping. they are calloused and rough, however, because his hands are the only weapon he has at his disposal when it gets down to the bottom line of things. he has larger hands, long fingers, and dried palms that aren’t uncomfortable to hold but it is obvious that he works with them often. there’s a strength that he always fights back and it is always evident in his hands and the way he holds someone. he has the hands of a killer and he’s not afraid to admit it.

WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY EAT IN A DAY?

a lot. pietro has a lot of energy that he burns so he is constantly eating. he has his normal meals, something quick is usually had for breakfast. maybe a tea or coffee (though he prefers the tea) with something he can easily pick up; fruit, oatmeal, he usually avoids cereal, toast, a bagel, etc. etc. lunch is usually the same. always something quick and favorable to a busy day. dinner is where he dedicates his time because he enjoys cooking, believe it or not. especially when he gets to cook for clint. throughout the day he’s snacking, though. chips, granola/protein bars, cookies, juice, i could go on and on. 

generally he likes to eat on the healthy side but is known to give in to fast food now and again. BUT HE DOES HAVE A HUGE SWEET TOOTH. the way to his heart is with candy and sweets. just saying.

DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE A GOOD SINGING VOICE?

it’s really nothing special and he never sings anyways. not even in the shower. he’ll probably hum along to music or mumble the words but he’s not going to outwardly sing because it’s just not his thing. that being said, he can carry a tune but he’s not about to win any kind of prizes or awards for it. he probably wouldn’t even get a random compliment if someone heard him, honestly. DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE ANY BAD HABITS OR NERVOUS TICS?

MHM. pietro is filled to the brim with constant energy and underlying anxiety. his biggest tics are foot tapping, finger drumming, and chewing at the inside of his cheek. people have usually caught him for cracking/popping his knuckles and fingers before a mission. if he’s told to stop moving so much, he’ll probably grab at the fabric of his clothes and wear it out between his fingers because it’s more of a quiet way to keep himself moving and occupied. 

WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY LOOK LIKE / WEAR?

god he either looks really good or really bad, honestly. he can go from sweatpants and a t-shirt to straight up designer fashion in the blink of an eye. wanda is the fashionable twin and she’s got to drag him out of the house sometimes to revamp his closet. he finds the sweats and the tracksuits comfortable though so he’s not about to get rid of them completely. he does have a good upkeep on his hair, though. it always looks absolutely on point.  IS YOUR MUSE AFFECTIONATE? HOW MUCH? HOW SO?

depends on the person! there are not many people in the world that can get close to pietro let alone touch him. he’s good at using people to get what he wants so if he does touch you in a way that you find favorable (this does not always mean something explicit) then he’s manipulating you. plain and simple. however, wanda is a good example of how touchy pietro can get. he’s usually always up in her little personal bubble and will put his arm around her shoulders, hug her, and just generally be like “hey this is my sister don’t come near her”. also if you are in a relationship with him his love language is touch and he will either be all over you or his hands will trail across your skin spelling out words or drawing shapes.  WHAT POSITION DOES YOUR MUSE SLEEP IN?

pietro does not budge when he’s asleep which is surprising considering the fact he never stops moving when he’s awake. he doesn’t curly up tight but he does prefer to sleep on his side, optimal for some good cuddling (especially because he’s a little spoon kind of guy) but he will sleep with one arm under his pillow and if his other hand is not being held or tucked around something he’ll just hug himself because it needs to be in a secure position like his other one.   WOULD YOU HEAR YOUR MUSE IN THE HALLWAY FROM ANOTHER ROOM?

yes. pietro is loud as hell and he doesn’t care. there is nothing about him that is soft spoken and even the way he naturally talks can be taken as being too loud. he likes to make sure he’s heard, and so it’s a habit that’s hard to break.

R - Routine (do they have a routine when it comes to picking up one night stands? do they have scheduled sex with their partner? are things spontaneous or planned ahead of time?)

The routine is basically to not pick people up. One night stands has never been something Kurt has been comfortable enough with doing, because of his anatomy. He’s never thought it is something he could simply spring on someone for the sake of a quick bliss of sex, and sex has never been that important to him. Later Krakoa years is a different story, but again he is rarely the one to try and pick someone up. If someone decide they want to hit on him and come with him, that’s another story all around.

As far as routine’s with partners he is very impulsive. It is far from a clockwork thing, and a lot more feel of the moment. Impulsive and spontaneous for “when the mood strikes.” The only thing that Kurt would plan for is if it’s a particular kind of date, one that both truly have planned together, but those are; again. very rare but they certainly happen. He prefers it not being a routine, simply because everything else about his life is usually a routine. He has a lot that is a routine and there is something very nice to not have this part of his life also be so routine driven.

It also helps that the partners he keep are rarely people of a routine like living. He doesn’t know for sure when he will see them, so it is usually a surprise when he does get to enjoy their company.

though he stands on dry land,  he feels as if his lungs fill with water each time he takes a breath ; all he sees around him are the ruins of the lives they could not save,  and closing his eyes brings no reprieve ⸻ the darkness only brings him back to the statesman,  where he lies collapsed on his brother’s cold body and prays the ice will take him,  too. 

it is only the thunder that cracks overhead and the lightning that tears apart the sky that manage to pull him from the spiderweb of thoughts that have wrapped around him.  if the storm calls him back,  it’s wanda that steadies him,  and he finds himself reaching for her,  calming the lightning that dances along his arms before he makes contact. 

he has lost himself,  his purpose,  his people,  his family ⸻ he has failed everyone he has ever loved,  but he will not fail her.
