さて、夏物のTシャツ第1便として＜Lot 4091 USN SKIVVY SHIRTS＞シリーズが入荷し始めましたが、このタイミングで改めてコチラのシャンブレーシャツをご紹介したいと思いますっ!!

1960年代のディテールを持つ”U.S.NAVY”のいわゆる＜ダンガリーシャツ＞です。アメリカ海軍では、シャンブレーでも、デニムでも、ブルーのワーキングウェアを『ダンガリー』と総称していることが多いようです。

第二次世界大戦前後の仕様と比べると、前たて部分や裾のカッティングなどに変更が見られますが、この時代までは生地が秀逸です。

インディゴのロープ染色で染めた糸で織られたシャンブレーは、着用と経年変化で強い褪色が生じます。特に、日差しや照り返しの強い水兵のユニフォームとしては尚更です。

また、軍が決めた指定色があったにも関わらず、様々な色合いのODグリーンのヘリンボーンツイルが存在するように、シャンブレーにも様々なトーンが存在します。生地のロットや釜違い（染色した際の環境の違い）によるものは多数あり、様々な部位に使用されたものが残っています。

サンプリングしたモデルについては、偶然か作為的かは不明ですが、２つのトーンの違うブルーダンガリーが見事に(ニクいほど)バランスよく配置されています。

未洗いの状態ではそれほどのコントラストはなかったのかもしれませんが、着込み、褪色することでその２トーン感はさらに強いものになったと考えられます。

台襟が付かない襟は、まるで”オープンカラー”のようであり、軽快な印象を与えてくれます。夏に着るシャンブレーとしても◎

トーンの異なるシャンブレーが着込んだ時にどんな風合いになるかが楽しみな1枚ですね。オススメです、是非。

Okay, so the question, “How would you dress if money were no object?” has been all around my Twitter feed today, but I don’t feel like I can answer it there without sounding like a jerkass. So I’m dumping it on you guys because…none of you seem bothered by the general jerkassery on my Tumblr. So here goes.

I’d dress pretty much exactly like I do now, but with better brands, better clothes designed to fit better and last longer, probably taken to a tailor for alterations to really nail the fit.

I’m pretty much okay with how I look, and I know what I look good in.

生地の”二重使い”を多用したヘビーデューティーなワークシャツです。

オリジナルのビンテージは、1930年代の《COMPASS (コン���ス＝羅針盤) 》というレーベルで、その作り込みの深さから、アメリカの3大ストアブランドのひとつである＜JC Penny＞のなかでもハイラインに位置付けられていたものと考えられます。

肩や袖口の補強部分は ”レインフォース”と呼ばれ、生地を二重にするだけでなく、動きやすさも考慮された設計になっています。

また、体熱を逃がすための菊穴(ベンチレーションホール)も、現代においてはミシンの現存数が極めて少ない”本菊穴”仕様を再現しています。

これからの季節のインナーには"ハイネックT"がオススメですよ。

また、せっかくの格好良いディテールが見えなくなってしまうのですが･･･スウェットとの重ね着もやっぱりイイですよね。

見所満載のディテールを備えており、1枚で着ても十分なほどの主役級のアイテムですが、スタイリングを引き立てる”バイプレーヤー”としてもイイ仕事をするのは、＜シャンブレーシャツ＞の懐の深さを表していると思います。
