Just because things didn’t turn out as expected doesn’t mean that you won’t get the dream life you deserve. Sometimes life may have better things in store than what you envisioned. Sometimes the universe finds something better for you that you haven’t even considered. Think about that the next time things don’t go according to plan.

The man singing is likely the first recorded cantor and also happened to have been my great-great-grandmother's brother. So my. Great-great-great-uncle?
Anyway it's very cool to hear my ancestor's voice, recorded well over 100 years ago.
Stereotypes influence design choices and consumer preferences, playing a significant role in shaping the fashion industry. These notions are often based on cultural, social or demographic characteristics, having a profound impact on the way individuals perceive and engage with fashion. Unconsciously, most people create a standard of what is satisfactory or what is vulgar and elegant. Furthermore, with the evolution of fashion shows and fabrics, standards and stereotypes are created. Have you ever thought about how influenced you are by stereotypes?
Designers often take inspiration from societal expectations and assumptions, which can unintentionally perpetuate stereotypes. According to journalist Jharna Pariani in her article in Fashion Psychology "Today, the dated heteronormative approach to fashion is slowly changing and a more inclusive, gender-fluid ideology is taking its place. Brands like Telfar, Gucci, Nicopanda and Rad Hourani are already making non-conformist fashion mainstream. While fashion weeks are also playing catch-up as they slowly adapt to showing a gender-fluid format." Therefore, global themes that become controversial topics to be debated in society and that in most cases are even considered taboo by them, end up becoming inspirations for large fashion show collections by major brands.
Stereotypes strongly influence consumers' fashion preferences, shaping how individuals choose to express themselves through clothing, often seeking to align their appearance with societal expectations or the image that big names in fashion create on the internet. Such as the famous fashion influencer, Lele Burnier, has gained millions of followers for following the world's "trends", changing her outfits according to the places she frequents. Lele is from Rio's upper class, wearing designer clothes and accessories, further stimulating the stereotype and causing more and more people to be influenced. It is crucial that the fashion industry recognizes these stereotypes in order to promote inclusivity, diversity and a broader understanding of style.
People base themselves outfits and create a style based on what the person sees in them because they want to be equal. According to the journalist Mariana Cerini in her article on CNN, “(...) Elle’s wardrobe is central to the movie’s message of female empowerment and its rebuttal of the “dumb blonde” trope. With every skirt, fur coat and halter top, she proves that looks don’t define us, and that a woman can be many seemingly contradictory things at once (...)”. Therefore, the famous image of the blonde girl with blue eyes, with wonderful outfits, highlights the stereotype of a middle/upper class girl, probably French or American, after all, this is a stereotype rooted in our society.
Concluding, stereotypes have a significant influence on consumer design choices and preferences. These preconceived notions, whether based on cultural, social or demographic factors, influence consumer trends and behavior. By challenging and dismantling stereotypes, the industry can move towards a more reflective and progressive future, expanding the field of fashion. Living in society means living with the most different stereotypes every day, just like the Berkeley's article, the concept of building bridges, "focusing on individual characteristics rather than group identity", the importance of challenging and avoiding preconceived notions that often limit individual potential, stands out when we talk about breaking stereotypes. After all, recognizing, appreciating and empowering the unique attributes that define us as individuals, contributes to a more harmonious, positive society.

LE PAROLE SONO TENERE COSE
grazie ❤
Grazie. A prestissimo.
“(…) Parlare.
Cesare Pavese, 20 maggio 1945

Let go of the concept that there’s only one way to love and accept the idea that you’re going to love in different ways. People are individuals and each one has their own love language, so take the time to ask them what that language is! Sometimes it can be outside the realm of physical affection, and could be something as simple as saying good morning or goodnight to them. It could be buying them a little something because “it reminded me of you.”, or even just co-existing in the same room together and doing your own thing. Love can’t be boiled down to one way of feeling and can come in all shapes and sizes. Take the time to understand one another, both romantically and platonically.
Into the Shimmering World review – Colin Friels and Kerry Armstrong star in a future Australian classic
The drought, the flooding rain, the pushing of 70 dead heifers into a hole: for Ray, a farming man on an unforgiving land, it is what it is. “There’s not much to feel about that,” he tells his wife, Floss, who responds: “I’m feeling plenty, Ray.”
In playwright Angus Cerini’s latest play, Into the Shimmering World, which has premiered at Sydney Theatre Company’s Wharf 1 theatre with Colin Friels…
