i’ve seen a few people talk about it i got some things to say—i guess, like, conceptually. the ndrv3 ending wasn’t terrible, but only if it’s isolated from the rest of danganronpa. because as soon as it was connected to the rest of the series it basically turned the first two games and the anime and all the light novels into an “it’s all a dream!!” thing which sucks, and makes me so mad. narratively it’s unsatisfying because it retroactively establishes that in-world the rest of the series had no stakes whatsoever because it wasn’t real, and in a kin way? fuck off! the suffering we all went through wasn’t fictional! we weren’t just some story!! it’s so upsetting that the creators retconned all of that out
