Tuggoffelees prompt: Tugger follows Misto to his human home and becomes the thing that wouldn’t leave.

“…what is-“

“I don’t know, and he won’t leave.”

“Did you take him outside?”

“Yes! All morning! Every single time he’s gotten back in somehow. The windows are all closed and locked. I shut the chimney flue. I even checked the attic, but there are no holes. It’s just like-“

“Just like when Butler disappears and we look everywhere just to find he’s been asleep on the back of the couch the whole time?”

“Pretty much.”

“Where is Butler?”

The woman points at the very large, very fluffy creature now occupying the entire circumference of a basket with a round pillow inside it. Amongst the fluff, when the man leans closer, a small black ear can be seen.

“I think Butler brought him home with him,” the woman says. There is a pause. “He didn’t want to cuddle with me at all, but he followed me all over the flat for a bit and let me rub his ears. Even the little tufts. And the two of them have been inseparable.”

The man crosses his arms over his chest. “It was enough of a fight already finding a flat that would let us have one cat. They’re not going to allow us two. And I’m not sure that thing is even a cat. Not a domestic one, anyway. He’s got stripes and spots, both.“

“I think he’s what’s called a cashmere bengal. I looked up cat breeds. But he’s definitely also maine coon. That’s why he’s huge.”

On second look, the man can’t even see the basket that the ‘cat’ is curled up on because he spills out of it so much.

“We still can’t-“

“If you can get him to leave and not get back in somehow, then fine,” the woman says, even as she reaches over to stroke the strange cat’s fur. “But you know Butler always somehow does his vanishing act any time our landlord comes round. For all they know, this handsome beast could’ve always been our one cat we moved in with. Aaaand, Butler has cried every time I’ve tried to put his friend out.”

The man doesn’t seem convinced, and bends down to lift up the sleeping cat. It immediately awakens and writhes to escape his grip. And from the basket, a tiny meow of protest roses from the now-revealed black and white cat that is Butler, who is less than half the strange cat’s size.

Two hours later, the man slumps onto the couch. The woman laughs as the cat who had just been yowling at him and scrambling to get out of his grasp jumps up onto his chest and lays out down practically the whole length of the man. It begins to purr so loud it could probably be heard over half of London.

“Alright. I give up. He can stay.”

The woman beams, going to the hall and then quickly returning holding a black leather collar studded with tiny spikes. “Thank god!”

Polish version of "Skimbleshanks the Railway Cat" from Cats Warsaw CD album

As Skimbleshanks Wojciech Dmochowski, accompanied by artists and orchestra of Roma Musical Theatre

This song is one of the few on the album that sound closer to the English original than to the actual Polish stage version. It's slower, and in the beginning more or less keeps original who sings what, with Skimble coming in quite late.

Also, the lyrics in the later part of the song are a bit different to what can be heard in the few bootleg audios out there. Here they mention Roma Theatre by name twice, while on stage it seems it was usually omitted.

• What I mean by in a relationship but not sure which one is that they’re just as much eachothers best friends as they are eachothers mates. Also cause I love them both platonically and romantically<3

• Now I don’t like to characterize Demeter as an overly codependent queen, she does have her moments where she just needs Bombalurina’s support (like when Grizabella decides to suddenly pull up). I like to think Bombalurina has her same codependent moments in turn, however, she hates to admit it she needs Demeter just as much as Dem needs her is that I'm trying to say.

• What I mean by I like it in a very specific version that exists in my head is that I just love it when Demeter takes a little more charge yknow? Her planning the fancy dates, getting Bombalurina flustered , etc. Also, I just prefer when it's a slow burn as I do with every Demeter ship. But I just love hearing different interpretations about them so I'm not super dead set on this!!!

• Also just like the potential of their history together makes it all the more interesting, I hc Bomba and Demeter's relationship evolving from a strained beginning to a close friendship and alliance over time. The fact that they left Macavity together could be a significant event in their history that strengthens their bond and adds to their partly shared backstory!!!

As for the free space I’m really into this ship when it’s very angsty, and there’s just so much angst potential there!!! But that’s just my personal preference so yuh

Yes yes Macavity indeed. He's a ginger cat you know and he's very tall and thin I think actually you would know him if you saw him for his eyes are sunken in (he's one of those fellows iykyk) and he does a lot of scheeming so his brow is deeply lined with thought and his head is highly domed it's just kind of what happens over time with life but you can't miss it really. Ah but you know how it is with the scheming you forget everything around you so don't be surprised if you find his furr is dusty with neglect and his whiskers are uncombed. He's kind of weird so if he sways his head from side to side with movements like a snake don't pay it any mind just. Ignore it and another thing you should probably know is that you have to be careful there because as previously mentioned he's a scheming little fellow and when you think he's half asleep he's always wide awake so. Be careful there will you. He's wanted for everything you know?
