Donald Trump accused President Joe Biden of overseeing a Soviet-style persecution of Catholics and claimed FBI undercover spies are about to infiltrate the churches. (Watch the video below.)
Biden has described himself as a “practicing Catholic,” and is just the second Catholic president after JFK. But that didn’t stop the GOP front-runner from launching dubious allegations at his probable adversary in the 2024 election.

HAIL MARY "We don't worship Mary the mother of Christ Jesus they say, she's not our idol they say, yet they elevate her, pray to her, believe in her more and follow the traditions of man, dogmas not biblical. No we don't worship Mary, no, as they say Hail Mary, the very act of hailing Mary and not realizing they've already given themselves over to doctrines of demons."

This month at Roses & Rue, I’ve been blessed with a windfall of gorgeous antique religious cards & pocket prayers. The lace paper cards from the 19th century are my favorites.

#OTD in 1912 – The RMS Titanic leaves port in Southampton, England for her first and only voyage.
At 7.30am, Captain Edward J. Smith boards Titanic with full crew. Third class passengers embarked at 9.30, followed by second and first class. Titanic sets sail from Southampton at noon heading for Cherbourg. Even before she leaves the harbour, there was disarray. The swell caused by the giant ship created a suction that broke the mooring ropes of the City of New York. A collision was narrowly…

Imagine you are just a civilian. Suddenly, you heard shots. War has started. You try calling the person you love the most. You receive no answer. The person you love the most was killed in the war.
The question then is, who is responsible? Who, or perhaps, what do you get angry at?
Soldiers shoot thousands, the person you loved the most was just another casualty for them. Good luck finding the name of the soldier/terrorist who actually shot the bullet.
Because of this, people abandon the idea of finding a real person responsible and instead start blaming concepts.
“This religion is to blame” or “This nationality is to blame.” You stop caring about who the particular responsible person is and instead focus on holding abstract ideas accountable.
War is, paradoxically, the most personal, not personal, conflict that exists. You don't know the person you are calling an enemy, you have never had a conversation with that person. You know nothing about his life; his name, his passions, his story, his fears, his story. But you know his general information; his nationality, his religion, his ethnicity, his political wing, and that is enough for you to determine that he is your enemy and you should kill him.
My point about all this is; Think of all the children who are losing their friends and family. Who are they going to swear revenge or justice to? To the individual person who committed the crime? Or something else? To a religion? An ethnicity? A nationality?
All of this generates an endless feeling of resentment that will only lead you to a vicious circle of hatred and rancor from which you will never be able to get out, since you cannot and will never be able to eradicate a concept. There is your fuel for some 10 more years of war, or, at least, absence of peace.
Imagine being killed/killing by/for something as abstract as The State.
