Reference art of my sona, Niko Spirata + one of many monster forms (Spirit Elemental/Cat monster). As I am genderfluid, they have three references to reflect it (Feminine, Nonbinary/Both?, Masculine)!

The monster form is Undertale AU-related more than anything else (In the context of multiverse crossover happenings, however, this is something that becomes a permanence with Niko later in the timeline).

Regardless of form, they've got spirit-related abilities (hence the form in the second piece), which means they can see things unseen to the naked eye (with their third eye), call upon totems/spirit animals for support in various situations and look to various deities when meditating (for advice more than anything - it's comparable to a DnD session when a character calls upon their deity of choice). It's a more exaggerated, "magical" version of what some people can do with spiritual practices (combined with the more modern interpretation of a... witch, maybe?).

A large, grotesque demon with many fiendish maws, which the hell beast uses to devour the souls of the many in the pits of hell. It takes on the appearance of a seemingly normal feline to stalk whatever new prey is on its list.

If its Creator, Demona, sees the soul worthy of redemption, she will allow it to be set free from her hellish pet’s belly. Very few are worthy of this grace in the feline’s eyes, sometimes devouring gluttonously without her say.

Even if it was the angel herself who has kept him caged, he acts not as her inferior but as her guardian in return—often offering advice with good graces he only intends to give her alone.

Another one I intimidated myself out of, because I rarely do monster designs like this. But with enough reference images, I was able to get the stuff together!

Cheshire is Demona's NPC in the gaming world YGGDRASIL. He acts as her tank and kind of like a father figure as well to the holy angel.

He dislikes any who try to approach his Creator in hopes of winning her heart—primarily the likes of Albedo, Demiurge, and Shalltear.

This does cause the beast to snip even at his superiors, not caring if it could land him in trouble.

Also, the way he hears is through a hallowing in the horns on his head.

I drew this just before new year with some art supplies I got for Christmas and I think I'm going to have to draw more often. It's a mix of ink (for the lines), watercolour(base layer and background), and coloured pencil(for the incredibly long cat and other details). I've never actually done a fur texture before, so this came out great.
