Good Girl Gone Bad is the third studio album by Barbadian singer Rihanna. It was released on May 31, 2007, by Def Jam Recordings and SRP Records. Rihanna worked with various producers on the album, including Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Neo da Matrix, Timbaland, Carl Sturken, Evan Rogers and Stargate. Inspired by Brandy's fourth studio album Afrodisiac (2004), Good Girl Gone Bad is a pop, dance-pop and R&B record with 1980s music influences. Described as a turning point in Rihanna's career, it represents a departure from the Caribbean sound of her previous releases, Music of the Sun (2005) and A Girl like Me (2006). Apart from the sound, she also endorsed a new image for the release going from an innocent young woman to an edgier, more mature look. Critics gave generally positive reviews of the album, praising its composition and Rihanna's new musical direction, though some criticized the album's lyrics and inconsistency. The album received seven Grammy Award nominations and one win in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category for "Umbrella" at the 2008 ceremony. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart and sold 162,000 copies in its first week. Certified six-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), it sold more than 2.8 million copies in the United States. The album reached number one in Canada, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. As of June 2017, the album has sold over nine million copies worldwide. #egybtmusic #usamusic #anghamimusic #spotifymusic #deezermusic #googlemusic #applemusic #music #Rihanna

Lyrics (english):
Broke my heart on the road
Spent the weekends sewing the pieces back on
Crayons and dolls pass me by
Walking gets too boring when you learn how to fly
Not the homecoming kind
Take the top off, and who knows what you might find
Won′t confess all my sins
You can bet all trying, but you can't always win
'Cause I'm a gypsy
′Cause I'm a gypsy, are you coming with me?
I might steal your clothes and wear them if they fit me
Never made agreements just like a gypsy
And I won't back down ′cause life′s already bit me
And I won't cry, I′m too young to die
If you're gon′ quit me
'Cause I′m a gypsy
I can′t hide what I′ve done
Scars remind me of just how far that I've come
To whom it may concern
Only run with scissors when you want to get hurt
′Cause I'm a gypsy, are you coming with me?
I might steal your clothes and wear them if they fit me
I don′t make agreements just like a gypsy
And I won't back down ′cause life's already bit me
And I won't cry, I′m too young to die
If you′re gonna quit me
'Cause I′m a gypsy
And I say, hey you, you're no fool if you say, no
Ain′t it just the way life goes?
People fear what they don't know
Come along for the ride (Oh yeah)
Come along for the ride (Woo-hoo!)
Lyrics (spanish):
′Cause I'm a gypsy, are you coming with me?
I might steal your clothes and wear them if they fit me
Never made agreements just like a gypsy
And I won't back down ′cause life′s already bit me
And I won't cry, I′m too young to die
If you're gon′ quit me
'Cause I′m a gypsy
Me rompió el corazón en el camino
Pasó el fin de semana
Coser las piezas de nuevo en
Lápices de colores y muñecas me pasan
Caminar se vuelve demasiado aburrido
Cuando aprendas a volar
No de la clase de bienvenida
Quítate la parte superior
Y quién sabe lo que podrías encontrar
No confesaré todos mis pecados
Puedes apostar que lo probaré
Pero no siempre puedes ganar
Porque soy gitana
¿Vienes conmigo?
Quizá te robe la ropa
Y llévalas si me quedan
Nunca llegó a acuerdos
Como un gitana
Y no me echaré atrás
Porque la vida ya me ha mordido
Y no lloraré
Soy demasiado joven para morir
Si vas a renunciar a mí
Porque soy gitana
Porque soy gitana
No puedo ocultar lo que he hecho
Las cicatrices me recuerdan
De lo lejos que he llegado
¿A quién puede interesar?
Sólo corre con tijeras
Cuando quieres lastimarte
Porque soy gitana
¿Vienes conmigo?
Quizá te robe la ropa
Y llévalas si me quedan
No hago acuerdos
Como un gitana
Y no me echaré atrás
Porque la vida ya me ha mordido
Y no lloraré
Soy demasiado joven para morir
Si vas a renunciar a mí
Porque soy gitana
Y yo digo
Oye tú, no eres tonto si dices que no
¿No es así como va la vida?
La gente teme lo que no sabe
Ven para el paseo, oh sí
Ven para el paseo
Porque soy gitana
¿Vienes conmigo?
Quizá te robe la ropa
Y llévalas si me quedan
Nunca llegó a acuerdos
Como un gitana
Y no me echaré atrás
Porque la vida ya me ha mordido
Songwriter:
Y no lloraré
Soy demasiado joven para morir
Vas a dejarme
Porque soy gitana

When Rafael Nadal was asked if his then-girlfriend was okay with him playing Shakira's love interest
Tumblr media
When Rafael Nadal was asked if his then-girlfriend was okay with him playing Shakira's love interest In 2009, Rafael Nadal was contacted by famous Colombian singer-songwriter and pop star Shakira to collaborate with her for one of her music videos. The song was called "Gypsy" or " Gitana" in the Spanish-language version and was a part of her eighth studio album — She Wolf. The song is about anyone who keeps traveling like a nomad and was written by Amanda Ghost, Carl Sturken, and Evan Rogers. In the making of the video, Shakira explained the meaning of the song by saying that it was how she saw the world and lived her life, like someone who was always on the road, experiencing different cultures around the world. READ MORE: The Race to Turin is hotting up will Rafael Nadal return to play the… "I think that this song 'Gypsy' is a very faithful reflection of the way I see the world, the way I see myself," Shakira said. "It somehow fits the way I have lived my life since I started my career like a nomad, traveling and observing so many different things from different cultures. I guess that turned me into a gypsy in a metaphorical sense." She further stated that for the video, she wanted someone similar to her, as in someone who had traveled a lot and always gave his best. Her obvious choice was the Spanish tennis star. When Rafael Nadal was asked if his then-girlfriend was okay with him playing Shakira's love interes "When I thought of including someone in this video, I wanted this person to be someone I felt identified with, someone who had traveled the world and had to fight many battles and give the best in himself to achieve something. So I thought of Rafael Nadal because he is also a person who started his career very, very young and pursued his own goals. Also, he's very good looking," she added. The Mallorcan was extremely happy to experience something new as well. He stated that the shoot was completely different from all the commercial shoots that he had done till then. "This shoot is very different from all the others I've done in the past. I've done a lot of commercials, but doing something like this was completely different, and I really enjoyed it. Shakira was, as always, spectacular. It was a new experience, and of course, working with a woman as charming as Shakira, it makes it much easier to tell the truth. It was great, very easy, she's really sweet and that always makes the hours go by faster," Nadal said. READ MORE: Novak Djokovic’s Thumping Victory Over Bosnia-Born American Player Once Led to Violent Clashes in Melbourne In an interview later on, when the presenter asked the Spaniard if his girlfriend was okay with the romantic video, he stated that it was a part of the job. Cherry Red Records' final Debbie Gibson reissue. To be honest, this release is a little on the disappointing side. I'm still going to get it, though.

Soldier of Love
Lay down your arms and surrender to me.
Oh lay down your arms and love me peacefully. yea.
Use your arms for squeezing and pleasing the one that loves you so.
Oh there ain't no reason for you to declare war on the one who loves you so.
So forget the other boys because my love is real.
Come off your battlefield...(Carl Allen Sturken / Evan A. Rogers)

Tumblr media
1. Don't Need The Real Thing
2. Breakdown
5. Piece Of Me
8. People Make The World Go 'Round
Karriem Riggins
13. Simple Things Feat. Scat Springs

Gnash Joins Loote for Impassioned Bop, “85%”
Tumblr media
Uniting both coasts, New York-based pop duo Loote has teamed up with Los Angeles rapper Gnash to create pop perfection in “85%.” Loote, comprised of Emma Lov and Jackson Foote, met in college during producer Carl Sturken’s songwriting class. The two hit it off immediately and continued to produce their personal music together outside of the classroom. The duo has not only been hard at work making their own music, but also are the minds behind many of today’s hit songs, including Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato’s “No Promises.” Racking up over 250 million streams to date, they have self-titled their work as “cry jams,” which blends perfectly with Gnash’s relaxed rap vibe.
While the title may suggest otherwise, Loote and Gnash poured 100% into this song. This stunning song was written and produced by Loote, as is most of their discography. “85%” is special because it is their first real vocal duet on a track, introducing a fresh sound from the duo. Their catchy melody, passionate lyrics, and flawless vocals craft this impeccable track.
Loote and Gnash speak of the trials in a relationship when one person isn’t putting all their effort into making it work. Throughout the song, Loote repeats “I should really use my head, instead of thinking with my chest,” as if convincing themselves to start listening to their own advice instead of falling into old habits. Gnash’s mission of making people feel better is carried out in this emotional song by giving fans the communal feeling that they aren’t the only ones putting everything into a relationship that isn’t returning the favor.
Listen to this heartfelt song down below :
