one thing that rlly fuckin pisses me off about americans is how they somehow managed to turn petkeeping (i'm talking domestic animals like dogs and cats here, not exotics) into a luxury business. like we domesticated these animals and lived among them for thousands of years because we provided mutual aid and survivalship benefits to one another. they are WORKING animals. they are not fucking accessories and as long as their base needs are being met in terms of food, water, and staying as clean/well taken care of as possible so they have a good qol, that's enough. esp. when this concerns poor and/or homeless people whose chances of survivalship are drastically increased by pet ownership bc of the stress relief, protection, and pest control benefits that they provide

#i have had my cats since 2008 and i think this is finally the end for her #she is drinking so much water and she’s been meowing her weird little meow at night for me to turn the sink on #and let her drink running water #that’s supposed to be a sign of kidney disease #she’s going to the vet on sunday but I’m worried if she’ll make it that far #she can’t sit still for too long #i honestly don’t know what I’ll do when she’s gone #she was never really my cat but she became it out of necessity #my mom didn’t want to keep her after we became homeless and tried to give her away #and I didn’t think that was fair so I made it my mission to care for her and do all the things she deserved #making sure she was cared for became my motivation all those years ago to start a savings account and find a place of my own #it took so long but I finally did it in 2021 and now it feels like it’s too late #I wonder if she ever enjoyed being here with me #versus the years she was living with my husband’s family; they adore her so much and became cat people because of her #even now I’m crying thinking about it #my husband is sympathetic but it feels like he’s ready to let her go #this place will be so lonely without her little face

its such a cute traditional house too its white and blue on the outside i think and inside the walls are blues, yellows, some are orange i think, all the walls covered in rugs made by my grand grandmother or old paintings. when my grand grandfather was alive and it was well taken care of, it was a beautiful property. she cries and gets scared all the time that theyre going to sell her house after she dies, ruin her lifes work, shes told me so many times shed be so happy to give it to me. and honestly if it gets demolished or gets into my fathers hands and he does some shit i think im going to be heartbroken for a lifetime too. I literally feel like im being stupid and wasting time on all this when every time i want to go back there i want nothing more than to not leave, and when the thought alone that its gonna get demolished makes me wanna cry. like what the fuck am i even doing here.

the only thing. the only thing which Truly keeps me from this is that after such a life of horror, i feel a deep. need. to help in my life. But god help me, maybe after all ive been through i should help myself

While on Earth, Jazz was heavy into non-profits.

It was partially his work as the unofficial envoy to the Humans, as well as the ARK's unofficial position as Morale Officer. It was also because he actively enjoyed working with young adults and children, and understood completely what it was like to fall between the cracks and be forgotten.

It was not a surprise that he took up Big Brother and Big Sister programs in the inner cities. His holoform became known as Uncle J in several United Way and YMCA/YWCA circles, as well as talking to homeless kids on the street. There were a few times he "unofficially" freed up a few frozen accounts with no access to the original owners to make sure the kids had an apartment paid up through high school, or made sure they got somewhere safe.

He was friends with the local sex workers- making sure they got home safe after their nights ended. New York also got a few more donations to specific charities that helped with drug-abuse rehabilitation and LGBTQA+ homes for those that had been turned out.

His cheerful demeanor, and blunt conversation about sex and gender netted him quite a few friends amongst the queer and agender communities. He's still friends with quite a few, having watched a good many grow up and go on with their lives. Even after his return back to Cybertron, he still keeps up with his people and the charities that are still getting donations from shell investments he set up.

He also makes it a point to attend a Pride Parade as often as he can, which these days- is about once a decade.

#not sure if having a 'something' is the right word but. lemme explain #by 'their relationship getting slightly better' i mean they can have an actual convo and not just give each other awkward glances #or small talk that quickly turns uncomfortable #and it would happen when matt is at his limit too-- so; the day after he turns 18 bc thats the day he turned homeless. #his parents always saw him as an obligation to get rid of as soon as possible but ig he didnt thought they would kick him out #at least not that soon when he didnt even finished high school and does not have a job or a place to stay #skyler didnt knew whether to do something or leave it be because he didnt wanted to add more stress to an already stressful situation #but he literally couldnt leave matt sleeping in a fucking bench near the school so he decided to try to seriously talk with him in years #and matt was in a really vulnerable situation and would accept help from anyone + his insomnia was worse than before #so he wasnt really thinking 'oh this is my ex that couldnt control his exaggerated jealousy'. he was thinking someone cared about him. #so he pretended nothing ever happened and their past was a blank state and accepted his help; first with him bringing him actual food #and eventually he would sporadically stay at his house for a few days; mostly if he already was with johanna/lucien + kathe/mikaylah/tyler #tyler is the one who has the less problems considering hes rich and all that. but matt couldnt stop feeling like a bother #so he kept rotating between different houses to try to 'alleviate' the 'burden'; including skyler's house. #and well; they started to 'get along' a liiiiittle bit more. and sometimes when matt was feeling particularly lonely or depressed #he would go and cuddle with skyler; at least for a few minutes and mostly out of nowhere #he also needed things like kisses and uh. for things to get more touchy sometimes. but he couldnt really risk skyler getting his hopes up #so he would just cuddle with him and occasionally act like a cat in need of love #he *could* go to tyler for his more 'intimate' needs but this would happen after tyler's pregnancy scare #and they stopped having sex after that. and even if he was really desperate #he couldnt risk being a very young father on top of being homeless/rotating from house to house. so yeah #oc talk

GOD I wish the minimum wage was a living wage.

I'm not flipping burgers, I'm cleaning litterboxes and doing basic vet care like checking weights, administering medicine, bathing, using IVs, keeping records, making lists, doing photography, and way way more. But the point is even if I was just cleaning litterboxes... I love the work. I wish I could pay rent. Shouldn't I be able to clean litterboxes and feed cats who were rescued from the streets and do that fulfilling wonderful work without wondering where I'm going to live?

Shouldn't someone be able to flip burgers, make art, clean up trash, care for the oceans, teach your children, or rescue animals without being forced to choose between their job and their bills?

What if I don't WANT to climb the ladder and use my degree and search for high stress high pay jobs in order to live? What if I want the high stress job of seeing a kitten crashing below survivable temperature and bringing them back from the brink of death, knowing that I'm the only thing standing between this homeless, unwanted kitten and an early grave?

Shouldn't that be enough? Shouldn't I be able to afford food and rent by doing that?

I don't want to work at a vet office that can give me steady pay increases. I want to work here, with cats who have no owners, nursing them back to health and helping pick their forever home. I want the infrastructure to support me in doing that. I want the laws to say I can and have programs in place to make it so my shelter CAN support me. I want rent to reflect wages. I want wages to reflect rent.

I want to help the world and be able to survive doing it. I want to thrive doing it. I want that for everyone.

Okay okay imagine living in a house with a three Cats you just found them homeless on the street and feel sorry for them so you took them in ... Orange cat, Gray cat and a black cat in your house

And if you're going to ask me how did all turn into a cats... Then the answer is Shang Tsung... Don't ask how ... It's just Shang Tsung that mf turned them into a cats ... Maybe just to laugh at them....

Anyways living with the Lin Kuei cats it's the best thing!! If you manage to gain their trust ..... Only with Tomas and Kuai tho.. You don't wanna get near Bi-han... Trust me... This bitch would give you a new scrach everyday... He's the kind of the bratty cat

Hiss 24/7 when every you get closer to him

Sometimes attack you and you'll have either Tomas or Kuai trying to stop him... Or both of them by pulling him from his tail....

Man he's a cat with trust issues so it's gonna take a while until you gain his trust

But to be honest... I believe Tomas would be the first one would Trust you... After seeing you how you're so caring to all of them... Even his brat older brother

He will be the type to be a clingy cat that's how I imagine him

Tomas is loves cuddles as well whenever you go to bed he'll climb up next to you and sleep

As for Kuai Liang... He's a calm cat... When you first let them in... He won't do anything just watching you around...

He's believe in 'Action speaks Louder then words' so he'll only trust you by you're action... And since you are so caring about them... And can take his Older brother's behavior he can tell you're a nice person so he will trust you a little... Still calm tho

Likes to sit besides you if you were watching TV or reading a book whatever you're doing he'll sit next to you... Either sleep or watching what are you doing

Btw when you go to bed he will be sleeping next to your head... He loves your hair... He think it's soft so sometimes when you woke up you'll find him sleeping on it like a pillow .... If you have a short hair he will be leaning on your head

He will try to convince his brother that you're harmless and never meant to hurt them but it's not working... Bi-han thinks if he give you a little cance you might going to stop him on his back or betrayed him...

Man the last time you were trying to wash them all.... It went well with Kuai and Tomas they both let you wash them peaceful.. Somehow Tomas was playful in the water and it got you confused actually for both of them... Them were so calm for cats begin in the water.... You didn't think about you just that's they might have got used to water somehow... Or they are a special cat who would give no pain in the ass to their owner when they are washing them

Anyways after finish the and dry them off you turn you're head to the last target .. Bi-Han ... man if you Know anime JJBA you will know what I mean when I say the fight you just had with bi-Han is the same fight between Jotaro and Dio trust Man and all of this happens while trying to get him into the bath top... You got.. A lot of scratches A few were on your face as well not only a just scars you have got but you had too chase him around the whole house whenever you get closer to him will attack you and hiss so good luck with washing him...

But if you manage to gain his trust (and it's a hard challenge trust me) he will be less aggressive ... Might even let you pet him (he will try so hard not to purr) doesn't attack you anymore... But he will always be cold with you...it's just his way of showing he trust you btw at rare times you'll find him sleeping next to you on the bed.... All the time he prefers to sleep alone
