eu sei que a nossa história deveria ser um segredo e que metade das pessoas que nos cercam jamais saberá tudo o que aconteceu entre nós, embora quase todas saibam que o nosso amor existiu mas o nosso romance é daqueles que dariam um filme e seria injusto que ficasse guardado só pra nós mesmos e sendo assim, decidi listar aqui os momentos que eu lembrarei pra sempre, com muita saudade:

1- quando você chegava do trabalho cansado e bastava eu dizer que estava com saudade pra você prontamente responder que estava vindo me ver, ou melhor ainda, quando dizia que não iria vir e minutos depois já estava a caminho.

2- quando eu chegava no portão e de longe observava você caminhar em minha direção, você não sabe o quanto eu esperava ansiosa por esses momentos, não sabe o quanto os seus olhos brilhavam e o quanto o meu coração disparava em resposta.

3- quando você me abraçava e me beijava no rosto, (nosso cumprimento favorito) ali eu perdia tudo, já sabia que era completamente sua.

4- e logo em seguida, sentávamos lado a lado e você deitava em meu peito, todas as dúvidas sumiam, todo o caos desaparecia e o som da sua voz me contando sobre a vida parecia ser a melodia mais linda do mundo todo.

5- quando a gente se olhava e eu já sabia o que viria depois.

6- os nossos olhos se cruzavam, minha mão já treinada, pontualmente subia o seu pescoço, repousando ali e sem dizer mais nada,

Here is my subjective ranking of all the costume trailers iQIYI released (since I didn’t watch moderns or republican stuff they posted) note - not only is it subjective, it is just the trailers which often does not correlate with either quality of or my interest in the drama itself.

11 Go East - I am vvvv fond of Tan Jianci but this was the only trailer that bored me. It wasn’t bad, it just gave me NO hook of any kind. It’s a pity since this was one of the very few historical trailers (as opposed to wuxia, xianxia etc) and I love those. This said, trailers and dramas often don’t correlate so I hope the drama is good.

10 Reborn for Love - half this trailer is cutesy hijinks and I am just not wired for that. By the time the trailer was halfway over, I found myself thinking that if it wasn’t for leads, I’d not check it out. But the back half has blood and romance and I sat up and paid attention.

9 Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact - I wanted to be more excited for this than I was. I love the cast. But even in comparison with the trailers for the other two entries in the series it looks…generic. I don’t truly get the vibe or the story. It’s nice but doesn’t grab me.

8 Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Sword and Beloved - it’s gorgeous and intense and screams fantasy romance and Cheng Yi fighting and bleeding. Pay your taxes, everyone!

7 Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Love in Pavillion - the visuals, the vibe, the angsty love feel, the colors! That trailer was my fave out of Fox ones. I need this drama now!

6 Strange Tales of Liao Zhai 2 - I haven’t seen s1 and mysteries (even supernatural ones) aren’t my thing. But the visuals in that trailer are insane and I spy with my little eye Yang Xuwen as one of two mains and the man owns my heart for Eternal Brotherhood and he brings his young Hu Ge vibes here too!

5 Win or Die - this baby is apparently only 18 eps and is all war war war but it’s a Cao Dun drama so the visuals are eye popping. It’s just stunning to look at tbh and sometimes (a lot of times), I want a grim war epic.

4 The Legend of Rosy Clouds - this trailer just grabbed me for some reason - it really makes you want to watch these people. It’s not visually amazing compared to the rest but it’s just dragging me in. In fact, while this isn’t my favorite trailer, out of all the dramas they promoed, this is the one I want to actually watch the most. I used to love the anime so maybe that’s why?

3 Snowy Night: Timeless Love - all the snow and the longing and the battles and we all know we will see red blood on that pristine white soon enough.

2 Love of the Divine Tree - it’s very very pretty and has so much shipping and angst and I have a huge 17 hangover so seeing Deng Wei with similar vibes is sending me. Honestly, my fantasy romance junkie is thirsting.

1 Fangs of Fortune - if someone told me a trailer for a drama full of actors I don’t care for would be my favorite, I’d not have believed it but here we are. This is fantasy and visuals and hooking you done right. I need this NOW!

ETA; I forgot follow your heart OMG! That’s my most fave except for Fangs of Fortune!

ETA2: and A Moment But Forever - I would rank it just behind snowy love.

53. 10/03/2024 night, Happy Bday Shu Rongbo and Wu Yihan!! Hehe the way Qian Anqi knocks their heads together and insisted to sing them happy birthday is so cute. Wu Yihan said 'Happy Birthday' before their customary Guiding Light hug. And pls someone translate (or at least transcribed) the closing speech for me, there's a lot of laughing involved, I'm curious. Also, have this bonus stage door clip.

Some funfacts. Since last year they play in the same 4 musicals including Link Click and out of those 4 plays they shared 2 roles. Shu Rongbo played a total of 9 roles while Wu Yihan played 7. (Yes, I am at that level of hyperfixation)

54. 11/03/2024, HBD Teng Chunpeng! LMAO It's you, so of course your promo video would be great! His face during the sofa choreo though. And why are both him and Du Guangyi stomping and jumping on the table so hard. You menaces, please you're gonna break it. The couch trio is also looking cute behind them.

55. 11/03/2024 Valentine's day special, <- Official ver. Forgive my language TENG CHUNPENG DU GUANGYI YOU FCKING TEASE! YOU GEM OF A HUMAN BEING! Have this fancam with the superior angle.

60. 03/03/2024 day, why is there a piglet??? Why are you seasoning the piglet??? Why are you stepping on the piglet?? Why is the piglet bowing?? piglet??

61. 04/03/2024, Bai Zhuoming being extra sassy and playful on the couch makes me so happy. Of course Cai Lu also becomes playful in response. Typical Guiding Light mistake also causes Wang Minhui to crack.

62. 07/03/2024, Guo Hongxu putting up the wrong foot and stumbling on the sofa choreo.

63. 07/03/2024, same performance as above, Ji Xiaokun being annoying <3. When other pairs hug, they wrestle.

64. 10/03/2024 day, Mooom! Cai Qi and Wang Minhui are fighting instead of doing rock-paper-scissors again.

65. 09/03/2024 day, uuuhh Wu Yihan sitting on the counter like that with those lights and shadows during Guiding Light is creepy.

⋆☠︎︎⋆ Pushes the unit to stay clean of alcohol and smoking because it’s bad for their health and then after everyone has fallen asleep pours himself a cold glass of whiskey and lights a cigar. (He thinks no one knows but everyone knows. Whenever this is brought up within the squadron, Riley says: “Let the old man dream.”.)

⋆☠︎︎⋆ The first person he met in the unit was Oscar Bailey. Oscar was 23 years old then and was making a name for himself as one of the most talented young operators, rising in career. They met in a track-and-kill mission when Oscar and his teammates got ambushed by a terrorist group and John with his unit came to the rescue. Since then John feels a fatherly love towards Oscar and has been watching over him ever since.

⋆☠︎︎⋆ You can hear him clearing his throat and sinuses in the bathroom sink with the volume of a thousand mountain banshees in the early hours of the morning after he has just woken up. (Yes, he bolts the whole house awake, and their PTSD doesn’t make it better. Oscar has gotten more used to it than the rest but the first time it happened the whole squadron rushed to the bathroom armed to their teeth, thinking that someone stabbed him in the throat and he was choking on his own blood. What they found was a sleepy but startled John, standing in front of the bathroom sink with his thick ass black socks, and his pajama pants holding onto the curve of his half exposed ass for dear life, looking back at them with wide eyes and fists balled up ready to throw punches. Not a fun morning. Later at the breakfast table he cracked a “Who pissed in the cereal?” joke to lift up the mood. No one laughed.)

⋆☠︎︎⋆ Doesn’t give a fuck who is in front of him. If someone is being disrespectful or purely showing ignorance, he doesn’t hesitate to speak his mind and put them in their place, even if they are higher in rank than him and hold more authority. (He used to get in trouble because of this before he met Y/N, but now she covers his back.)

⋆☠︎︎⋆ Snores. Loudly. And when he’s tired; very, very loudly. (Y/N personally made sure that the rooms in their dorm were soundproofed. Her reasoning was “to give all of us privacy” but everyone knew it was because of John’s 60 decibel, chainsaw sounding snore (and some others who also snore obnoxiously loudly, ahem… Fernando). The whole unit prays that they do not get sent on missions where they have to spend the night in a foreign base, sleeping in the same room. When he’s on open air missions, he doesn’t sleep, afraid that he’ll be loud and lead the enemy to them. Once, he spent six days without sleep because of this and started to hallucinate, until Y/N intervened and forced him to go back to base.)

Let’s just say the medics forbid anyone from visiting Oscar for a few days….)

⋆☠︎︎⋆ Once fell out of a speeding JLTV while trying to shoot an enemy vehicle mid-confrontation. It’s a miracle that he dropped flat in time and did not get run over by the other vehicles behind the JLTV but rather let them drive over him before rolling off the track and running to a safe zone.

⋆☠︎︎⋆ When the unit was first assembled, Fernando asked him if he speaks Spanish and he said he didn’t. Fernando grinned and told him that he’d teach him all the curse words. He did in fact do that. So now Oscar walks around with a Spanish curse words vocabulary that could send a Drill Sergeant into a coma.

⋆☠︎︎⋆ He once saw Henry make tea with “Lipton” teabags and forgot how to breathe for a few seconds. I’m not even exaggerating, he genuinely stopped breathing, and stared at Henry in horror. (A few moments later he taught him how to make loose leaf tea. When he told John and Riley about it later they also stared in horror. Everyone in that dorm was banned from using teabags ever again.)

With help from Diego, a few other friends and friendly neighbors, Fernando ended up building multiple tiny buildings to resemble houses, spread junkyard cars, old shipping containers and stacks of sacks filled with gravel, all over the place to practice open-air gunfight, and even made multiple dummies for target practice. He used that training field 24/7 religiously for four years until time came when he and Diego signed up for the military.

⋆☠︎︎⋆ He loved Diego’s grandmother dearly and he would often go to spend afternoons at their house. At one point, she and Diego cleared out the old storage room in her house and let him have it. When the explosives went off, not only did the building start to crumble but what was left caught entirely on fire. John was about to pronounce him KIA but then Diego was pulled out of the fire and rubble by Fernando who had rushed to the scene the second he heard that something had gone wrong.)

The right one is a picture of his grandmother smiling at the camera while knitting in her rocking chair. She had saved up a lot of money to buy him that camera as a present for his birthday and Diego cried that day, because it had been a very expensive camera, especially for an old lady living on her pension. Her picture was the first one he ever took with it. The other picture in the left side of the locket is a picture of him and Fernando together, laughing as Fernando drapes an arm over his shoulders and hugs him close. That day, the both of them had volunteered in the soup kitchen of their hometown, and at the end of the day, the staff had thanked them and the rest of the few volunteers by offering them a meal. Before sitting at the dining table, Fernando pulled him aside. He told him his plans to sign up for the military in a month, the day of his birthday. Diego listened carefully as Fernando told him the plans he had made for his life and that the decision was final. Even though it did not come as a surprise to him, Diego still had felt a pang of dread in his heart. That moment he decided that he would never separate lives from Fernando, and told him he would sign up with him too. Fernando was caught back and asked him to reconsider but Diego’s mind was made up. The words he then said will forever be in Fernando’s heart, for he told him: “Aquí no hay nada para mí sin ti, hermano mío. Nunca me perdonaré si dejo que nuestras vidas se separen. Te seguiré hasta la tumba, Fernando Álvarez.” (There is nothing for me here without you, my brother. I will never forgive myself if I let our lives separate. I will follow you to the grave, Fernando Álvarez.). They later went to the dining table with tears in their eyes and sat down. The rest raised a toast while laughing happily and Fernando wrapped his arm around Diego’s shoulder before hugging him close. That’s the moment a friend of theirs pulled out his camera and snapped the picture.

Henry absolutely despised the way Riley would shit on his mission tactics proposals and that became the reason why they would be at each other’s throats every minute of every day. He still hates the way Riley finds something wrong with every single plan he makes but since Y/N finds it useful he doesn’t argue that much anymore.

Then one day, during a mission where it was the two of them, Oscar and Scott, he walked out to find a place to be by himself. He found a quiet place and when he walked a bit further, he saw Riley sitting by a tree, drawing in his sketchbook. He was about to turn back but Riley called him over. They ended up bonding over their shared talent for drawing, and talked for hours. Since then, they have had a good friendly relationship.

This has been brought up multiple times and everyone assures him that he’s really not the problem, because they’re all bulky built soldiers and they all eat a lot. (Diego, while tying his apron, also told him that he shouldn’t be feeling guilty about this when Fernando Álvarez exists.)

I wasn’t sure if other fic authors were fine with people using the peaks they made up, so I decided to make my own! The full list is below the cut. That includes some elaboration on the canon peaks.

If anyone wants to use them, you’re more than welcome. It would be nice of you to credit me in the notes though. If you do use them, please link me so I can see what you do!

Peaks labeled “semi-canon” have canonical names and domains, but all other information is non-canon. Some canon peaks have non-canon elements in the descriptions.

As always, the general disclaimer is that I’m American, can’t speak Chinese, and I’m just doing my best. Please (politely) let me know if I've made a mistake!

1 | Qiong Ding Peak | Canon

穹顶峰 | Heaven's Apex (Domed Roof) Peak

Led by Yue Qingyuan

From this peak, the sect leader oversees the other peaks. This acts as the de facto “capitol” of the sect. They handle politics, outreach, and accounting for the sect as a whole.

2 | Qing Jing Peak | Canon

Led by Shen Qingqiu

清静峰 | Clear and Tranquil Peak

This peak is one of scholars. Part of their focus is on the arts, including the “Four Arts” of Chinese culture. Some of the craft goods made by this sect are sold to the public. They are also home to the sect's artistic library, which includes poetry, philosophy, and other written arts, as well as visual arts like painting.

3 | Wan Jian Peak | Canon

万剑峰 | Ten Thousand Swords Peak

Led by Wei Qingwei

Students at this peak are expected to demonstrate exemplary swordsmanship, but that is only one aspect of their education. Blacksmithing and metallurgy are also a major focus here. The weapons and other craft goods are often sold to the public.

4 | An Ding Peak | Canon

安定峰 | Stable and Settled Peak

Led by Shang Qinghua

Like Qiong Ding peak, this peak is absolutely vital to the operations of the sect as a whole. While logistic, maintenance, and related accounting are not glamorous, they are the foundation that keeps the world stable.

5 | Xian Shu Peak | Canon

仙姝峰 | Immortal Beauty Peak

Led by Qi Qingqi

The only all-female peak. They are known for their focus on grace, elegance, and enchantment. While many people dismiss them as a peak of pretty girls learning to dance, they are fierce warriors and skilled crafters. Due to their unique connection with the moon, they are trained extensively in night combat.

6 | Chong Yu Peak | Non-Canon

充裕峰 | Abundant Peak

Led by Chen Qingdi | 晨清地 | Morning Clear Earth

With a strong connection to nature, this peak handles the vast majority of the sect’s agriculture. There is also some basic processing of the produce. Anything that the sect doesn’t need is sold in nearby towns. They are noted gossips, largely due to the amount of time they spend working the fields together.

Chen Qingdi looks like the romanticized ideal of a peasant farmer woman. Though she is adept at combat, she excels in managing the complex operations of her peak. She works closely with An Ding Peak to minimize food waste.

7 | Bai Zhan Peak | Canon

百战峰 | Hundred Battles Peak

Led by Liu Qingge

Though this peak’s reputation is that of brainless brutes, that is an oversimplification. These combat specialists have great martial abilities, but they also study strategy and war history. Even if they are a bit more rough and tumble than the other sects, they are effectively one of the most well-trained armies in the world.

8 | Qian Cao Peak | Canon

千草峰 | Thousand Grasses Peak

Led by Mu Qingfan

Most disciples will visit this peak during their time in the sect. In addition to acting as the sect’s infirmary, this peak is the source of most of the medicine used in the sect. Students are trained in the creation of natural remedies as well as healing itself. As they get older, most select a specialty.

9 | Zui Xian Peak | Semi-Canon

醉仙峰 | Drunken Immortal Peak

Led by Lin Qingxiao | 林清咲 | Forest Clear Smile

In addition to the brewing of alcohol, this peak handles non-medicinal brewing. Most know them due to the alcohol they brew, largely for export. Some, especially anyone on An Ding Peak, consider them to be more akin to mad scientists.

Lin Qingxiao is a jovial man who appreciates creativity in his disciples. He is also extremely strict about safety practices. Woe be unto the disciple that brews without wearing protective gear. Ironically, he rarely drinks in his spare time.

10 | Hu Xue Peak | Non-Canon

虎穴峰 | Tiger Den Peak

Led by Hua Qingzhi | 花清志 | Blossom Clear Will

“Tiger Den” is sometimes used to mean “place of danger” and that is spot on. This peak handles all manner of beasts and animals. Disciples here learn everything they can about these creatures, including how to slaughter them or harvest monster parts. They are extremely concerned with humane treatment of the creatures under their care and often act as a wildlife rescue. Most people assume that they spend all day petting animals, which they generally find humorous.

Hua Qingzhi is a small woman with a delicate appearance. She is anything but. Much of the peak’s recent expansion has been due to her relentless demands. Legend has it that she once wrestled a… [insert the scariest monster the disciple can think of here].

11 | Ku Xing Peak | Semi-Canon

苦行峰 | Ascetic Practice Peak

Led by Guan Qingtian | 关清恬 | Mountain Pass Clear Tranquility

This is the sect’s only all-male peak. It is true that prospective disciples must request the peak, but their standards are also extremely high. Disciples here learn to disconnect entirely from their body, existing outside of their physical form. Additionally, this sect is responsible for maintaining the sect’s protective arrays.

Guan Qingtian is an odd man. He demands a lot from his disciples. Despite the belief that the peak’s small population is due to lack of interest, it is partially due to the peak lord’s willingness to remove pupils who are not meeting expectations.

12 | Xing Ji Peak | Non-Canon

星纪峰 | Star Discipline Peak

Led by Xin Qinghao | 信清昊 | Trust Clear Sky

This peak is home to the sect’s historical archive. They are also adept at highly specialized curse breaking and are known for their interest in astronomy. In addition, they practice divination. Belief in the efficacy of their practices varies between people. This is partially because those few who are welcomed into the peak’s ranks are sworn to secrecy.

Xin Qinghao is… well, first of all, nobody is entirely sure if Xin Qinghao is a man or a woman. They are most often referred to in feminine terms, but they’ve never actually said. This is endlessly amusing to them. Rumor has it that, with one look, they know every secret you’ve ever held.

SQH Time

Welcome to my SQH AUs! I've been making progress in filling out the peaks, so here's a round-up of what we have so far (everything rated T for Teen):

Peak 1: Yue Qingyuan

M/M, one-sided

~5,000 words

Summary:

The plan had seemed simple. It was a “for want of a nail,” situation, wasn’t it?

If Yue Qingyuan hadn’t been locked in the Ling Xi caves, he would have made it to the Qiu estate in time to rescue Xiao Jiu. If Shen Qingqiu was not a bitter person with ruined cultivation, he would not be so jealous of young Luo Binghe. And if Shen Qingqiu did not torment Luo Binghe when he was a disciple, and if Yue Qingyuan did not simply let it happen out of guilt, Luo Binghe would not have a reason to destroy Cang Qiong Mountain Sect.

So all Shang Qinghua had to do to save this ill-fated world (and most importantly, his own skin) was stop a young and desperate Yue Qingyuan from trying to force a connection with his future spiritual sword too soon.

Peak 7: Liu Qingge

M/M

~10,000 words

Summary:

Liu Qingge was beautiful, and delicate, or so everyone assumed when they saw him, and he hated it.

Shang Qinghua was the big, dumb packmule of An Ding. Or so Liu Qingge first assumed.

But Shang Qinghua is cursed with very, very bad luck and Liu Qingge is about the only cultivator strong enough, fast enough, and resourceful enough to keep him out of harm's (or at least inconvenience's) way. When the two are assigned as mission partners, Liu Qingge steps up.

Summary:

This boy who always scurries off as soon as the lecture ends in a flurry of papers is never in the dining hall, has no bed in the dorms, and no shift in the infirmary. Asking around about him only gets Mu Fang blank looks and shrugs.

Whoever he is, and whatever color he may wear, he's not a Qian Cao disciple.

Summary:

Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky was an anti-social agoraphobic loser if there ever was one, albeit one with a talent for writing highly addictive and wildly entertaining stories. Who would live that kind of shitty, isolated life except by choice?

Wang Qingjie, Peak Lord of Ku Xing Peak, had a secret of his own, that should his fellow sect members been aware of it, would have had them shouting it from the rooftops for their own gain—which was why he had never revealed it.

This is not a “raising the protagonist” fic. This is a “raising the protagonist’s future wife” fic. Or rather, it’s Shang Qinghua trying to be a mentor to a teenage (demon) girl with anger management issues and bad decision making skills, and his debatable success.
