BIG HELL YEAH to denim on canada’s drag race for talking abt how the terms afab and amab were intended for trans people to be able to talk about their experiences and it’s been like co-opted by cis people in ways that pretty much misgender trans people. Especially in the context of drag like he talked abt how ppl refer to him as an afab queen so it’s automatically assumed he’s a cis woman. That hit home bc yes we’ve had cis women in drag communities forever but I feel like there’s this huge movement of Afab Queens that tries to lump in trans men when our relationship to drag is drastically different. And at the same time too many cis women in drag spaces look down on cis and trans male drag queens alike. I could tell from the start that denim would be a fave this season and that just solidified it even more like thank god someone is saying this out loud and thank god everyone else in the room was just like thank u for explaining

Fun Jimbo fact: Jimbo has previously credited Vivian Vanderpuss for helping her with her makeup skills before and after CDR season 1. Vivian also did Jimbo’s makeup for a few of her CDR1 photo shoots and for various other media projects Jimbo has done (my favorite being a remake of the “Video Killed the Radio Star” music video, which Vivian also appears in!)

In other words, I’m Team Jimbo because I love weird drag, but I’m also Team Jimbo out of obligation to my fave, Vivian.

I still want Kandy to take it all though
