Webtoon recomendation!

Do you like comics? Do you want something to read? Well, that's great coz I wanna ramble about my favorites so be welcome! Take a seat.

Note - CWs because in the series descriptions there might be sensitive topics: domestic abuse mention, human trafficking mention, suicide mention, noncon mention, torture mention, death mention.

Total: 13 webtoons featured, of fantasy, thriller, romance, sci-fi, mistery, the superhero genre, paranormal mistery and adventure. Some are very light, others are very whumpy.

Castle Swimmer (ongoing)

Genre: Fantasy

What is it about: In an underwater world, different merpeople live with their kind in castles. In an isolated castle, the shark people suffer from a curse, and their only hope is their prince Siren, as there is a prophecy stating that he will kill "the Beacon" and free his people. Meanwhile, Kappa, a rogue mer, is a messiah sent by god who was born to fullfull prophecies. He is known as "the Beacon". The duty of his life is to fullfill them, and he never said no to none. One day, the Beacon arrives at the shark castle; the people are cheerful! Their suffering has come to an end! Prince Siren heads to killing the Beacon, but... he isn't like he expected. Can he really kill him? If not, then what should he do? Both of them were born for one reason and one reason only. What if they can't fullfill their duties?

Notes: Romance subplots and lots (I mean lots) of queer characters! General trigger warnings for blood and some violence in certain chapters. All of the chapters have cws. Sometimes there is a panick attack.

2. SHELTER (ongoing)

Genre: Fantasy, thriller, science fiction

What is it about: Ruka lives with his mother and his uncle/stepfather in a small town. From the outside, they seem like a neat happy family. But no one seems to notice what happends inside closed doors. Ruka's uncle is a violent and unforgiving person, and whenever he takes a misstep, there is a punishment. He dropped out of school and works at his uncle's diner, trying his best to protect his mother from the person she married with. One day, his only and best friend Pom gives him a gift: she left the town for college and they can only talk to each other by phone. The gift is a virtual reality gear--she says "try it out! I'm sure you will find out something cool there." Ruka tries the VR out and dives into the world of Vahana... he ends up finding out more than he initially thought.

Notes: I absolutely love this series and the art style evolves a lot from the first to most recent chapters. General trigger warnings for despictions of domestic abuse, human trafficking and censored noncon. There may be mentions of suicide as well. Apparently no queer characters at all, uncertain if there is a romantic subplot, but I like to think that no. Oh, and in the first 50 chapters or so I don't think it has many cws. If something specific happens, there may be one (I can't remember) but after that all chapters have a general trigger warning and sometimes a chapter-speficic one.

3. Housekeeper (ongoing)

Genre: Science fiction, adventure (?)

What is it about: In an alternative world where humanity has achieved great technologic advancement still in 1930 or so, the government of all the nations was unified in one and most of human labor was replaced with AI work. Navil is a kid who lives with his grandmother, and one day, he finds a broken maid robot and asks her to fix it. He names the AI as Hasty and they grow to become dear friends. One day, however, humanity faces a threat: A misterious disease has spread around all the world and is turning humans into zombies! When her master Navil is turned into one, and there seems to be no hope, what will Hasty do?

Notes: Don't stop reading when the boy gets turned. Do not. General trigger warnings for mild fantastical violence. I'm not very far in the series so I'm not sure but it doesn't seem to have openly queer characters. No romantic subplot. No cws as far as I've got. Oh, and there is some blood too, so take care.

4. Lovebot (ongoing)

Genre: Sci-fi

What is it about: In the far future, technology has advanced and humans have travelled deep into space. A certain renowned company has trademarked one of technology's most impressive advances: Artificial partners! Lovebots are advertised as "better than real" and the perfect companions for you. They are customizable to be whatever you want them to be, from appearence down to personality traits. Xada, also known as Jackalope, is a hacker who used to be hired to customize people's lovebots for a lower price, but for the new version released it is actually illegal to do so. Even though, a customer calls Xada to customize his brand-new lovebot (he wants to desactivate the sutdown response for when the bot is in too much pain?? wtf) and he accepts the job. When he arrives at the customer's place, though, the lovebot seems unsettlingly... human. When he comes back home from the modifications, he doesn't know yet, but Xada unlocked a secret that might evolve to a whole series of conflicts... with he and the lovebot right in the center of it.

Notes: Lots of openly queer characters (you can notice in the literal 1st pannel), HUGE romantic subplot, I think I shouldn't even call it a subplot coz it's a big part of the story. General trigger warnings for domestic abuse mentions, violence, toxic relationships, panic attacks, blood and...oh yeah, both noncon/dubcon mentions and consensual (just implied, thankfully for me) sex.

5. The Ember Knight (ongoing)

Ehhh, disclaimer: This seems to be set in the same world of another webtoon by the same author, a few years later. It seems like the previous webtoon is called Gilgamesh but I haven't checked that out. It seems like some of the characters appear in both webtoons and some of the lore is only shown there. I haven't read it yet but it's not preventing me form enjoying the story, so I'd say it is optional.

Genre: Fantasy

What is it about: The Knights are the country's greatest military force. They have powers beyond human comrehension and protect the people. Nagyuun's brother, Najin was training to become one of them; he was talented, strong and kind, like any Knight was supposed to be. Nagyuun couldn't be more different than him; even though they were twins, while Najin was extremely talented and considered a prodigium with 100% of chance of becoming a Knight aprentice anytime soon, Nagyuun wasn't much more than a normal guy. He loved his brother, and even though he had hard times, they were as close as they could be. That is, until one day, assassins invaded their home. Najin was murdered, and Nagyuun, just a normal person, couldn't do anything against the Knight-level threat. His brother was dead. Nagyuun could not let them go without revenge, but they were already far away--vanished just as quickly as they had arrived. He then borrowed Najin's identity. They were identical, so the only thing that set them apart, was their names. Nagyuun's plan was to live as his brother and pretend he was the one who died so he could attract the assassins. Your job isn't done just yet. But Najin was an extremely talented person. How could Nagyuun ever pretend to be like him? How could he create the illusion that he was at the level of a Knight aprentice? He didn't knew, but in what he lacks in skill, he compensates in rage. He would not let his brother's murderers get away from that.

Notes: I absolutely LOVE this series, the designs and the colors (the colors) are amazing and I love all the characters and the plot and everything--Nagyuun is such an amazing character, and sometimes the lack of skill he has becomes lowkey comic. General trigger warnings are violence, blood, character deaths (you saw what I said about Najin) and bullying. (And also pretty poor coping mechanisms if you want my opinion.) No romance as far as it is, no openly queer characters either.

6. Señorita Cometa (ongoing)

Genre: Mistery

What is it about: Alex is a young woman who lives in Yoalco, a city with high crime rates with two opposing mafias. She works at the Yoalco police department but she's also a vigilante--Her best friend Lola went missing and now she is going to do whatever it takes--under whatever title she gets undo--to find out the truth about what happened to her--and probably dismantle a whole trafficking web in Yoalco.

Notes: This webtoon is phenomenal, there is music in some episodes and the lighting and the drama--I love this one sm. It's more of an epic sometimes lighthearted mistery than an edgy story. General trigger warnings for some mild violence, blood, human trafficking and mentions of noncon. A few romantic subplots, no openly queer characters for now.

7. Realta (on hiatus)

Genre: Fantasy

What is it about: Many ages ago, the Signs decided to share their magic with humans--by giving them their blessing according to who they were born under, humans aqcuired fantastical powers. Fourteen special ones were chosen by the signs: The Realta. Each sign has one (aside from gemini and pisces, which have two) and the Realta would always reborn under the same sign. Ellowen, our protagonist, is a virgo who lives in a little cottage with their grandfather since they were a little kid. The last time they saw their parents was so many years ago... because around the cottage there is a magical barrier that is meant to keep any dangers away. One day, Ellowen's grandfather dies, and the barrier that kept them safe and isolated from the world for so many years vanishes. When they take the courage to leave their home, they decide to reunite with their parents after so long--but the problem is that Ellowen has no idea of where the virgo village is. They soon find a capricorn girl that seems like she can help them, but what will have changed them while Ellowen didn't see what was happening to the world?

Notes: This story makes me SO HAPPY because there are not only openly queer characters, but it's normal courtesy to introduce yourself with your pronouns, and you will see lots of characters doing this. There is romantic subplot and a lot of characters I really like, and it is on hiatus for a while. I can't wait for when it gets back >//////////< The plot is not centered around any of the characters queerness though, and everything about Realta, from the worldbuilding down to the artstyle is simply beautiful. And it has such magical vibes to it as well. General trigger warnings are character deaths and some violence.

8. PARA-Professional (ongoing)

Genre: Paranormal mistery

What is it about: Two friends decide to explore what it is said to be an old haunted house. One of them pays no mind to the rumors at all, but the other knows something is going on... They both find out more than what they thought they would in there. And it doesn't stop there.

Notes: Some romantic subplot, openly queer characters, and honestly, everything about this series is so charming. The author also has another series (also ongoing but shorter and with fewer updates I think) that you may want to check out: Cryptozoology. General trigger warnings for... Blood and death mentions. It came back from hiatus a while ago.

9. Castoff (on hiatus)

Genre: Fantasy adventure

What is it about: Vector means no harm to no one, but it's not like people believe it. He's not quite human and seems to have some elfic heritage... but aside from that, anyone who sees him treats him like a monster. He lives with his adoptive mother, a librarian, hidden away from everyone for everybody's sake. That is, until a weird customer arrives at the library, and when, despiste his best efforts, she sees him, she doesn't seem afraid at all. And from there some chaotic things take place... what is she up to?

Notes: Amazing. Awesome. And it has its own site with more frequent updates, even thought it is still on webtoon. I don't think there is any romance or openly queer characters but for me some of them are pretty much queer-coded-ish. There is a lot of characters and the magic system and worldbuilding is awesome too. General trigger warnings for mild violence, a little of blood, death mentions and mentioned accidental domestic violence.

10. Cinderella Boy (ongoing)

Genre: Fantasy

What is it about: It's summer, and even though Chase doesn't have any part-time job like his relatives advise him to, he's buisier with other things: A while ago, he found a magic key that allows him to travel into books, and for every tale he finishes, he gains some drops of this misterious substance called narratonin. As soon as he finds out what it serves for, he decided: This summer, he'll gather narratonin enough to make a wish. Some people don't want him to have it easy, though.

Notes: No romance, no queer, it's pretty lighthearted and fun. There are a lot of misteries still unsolved and I'm honestly eager to find out.

11. Uriah (ongoing)

Genre: Thriller, mistery

What is it about: One day, a boy wakes up in the back of a car, bruised, restrained, and with absolutely no idea of where he is, or what is worse, who he is.

Notes: HEAVY trigger warnings for this one, and for most of the chapters this series has no cws. Blood, violence, extreme violence and lots of blood, domestic abuse mentions, sexual abuse mentions, human trafficking, character deaths, death mention and torture, honestly, like someone got heavyhanded on the whump sauce for this one. I actually love this one, but it can get pretty dark. I love most of the characters and it seems like there is some romantic subplot going on. Some of the chararcters are openly queer, including the villains. You're going to be very confused for a lot of the first season if you read it, and as the story goes on, you'll have to decide who is the good guy and the bad guy on your llist again.

Oh, and that person with the motorcycle is a girl (she/her), just so you know. Don't let the comments section confuse you.

12. Our Walk Home (on hiatus)

Genre: Romance

What is it about: In a city, two great and renowned schools have a sworn enemyship. None of their students are friends with each other, and the rivalry is so strong that it sometimes gets unhealthy. Akihiko is a top student in one of those: He has a big social circle, amazing looks, is athletic and smart. Everybody on his school loves him. He values his position, and he got a lot of effort in to get there. Even if... even if he has to pretend to be someone he's not, be extra friendly with everyone even when he's emotionally drained and give away some of his mental health. On the other school, they say there is a worthy rival for Akihiko. Harumi Kurose, who comes from the overseas. They say he's a genious with an ice heart, who looks down on anyone who isn't worth his time. Akihiko is told he will have to face Harumi one day, and despiste not showing to anyone, he is completely terrified of the guy. One day, they meet. It didn't go as Akihiko expected, though.

Notes: I love the art. Like, really really love. The art in the other ones is cool as heck but this one is really special because it is. So so so so gorgeous. And light. And refreshing. Love everything about it. CWs for this series: Death mention, toxic relationships, and, uh, burnout I guess. It's very gay. Not many openly queer characters, tho.

And last, but definitely not least:

13. Jupiter-Men (on hiatus)

Genre: Superhero

What is it about: In Jupiter City, there is a urban legend of a misterious vigilante called Jupiter Man. In a school in the city, it studies a young boy called Quintin, alongside with his twin sister, Jackie. Quintin is a big fan of Jupiter Man, and, when there is a rumor that he went missing Quintin decided to look for him. Jackie tries to put some sense into her brother's head, but he won't listen to her. Despiste not wanting to, she ends up going with him. But instead of Jupiter Man, they find another thing, and that may be a key to a misterious chain of events that will give them more than what they initially hoped for.

Notes: The art. Style. The designs. Amazing. Okay, so, there is no romantic subplot, no openly queer characters until now, and Jupiter-Menis entering its second season. It was when I was reading this I noticed that I actually love the superhero genre. The characters are amazing and compelling, the lore is very very fun and everything is pretty engaging. Cws include fantastical violence, some blood and death mentions. There are also some references to greek mythology, and, yeah--if I was to describe this in one word, it'd be "fun". It's a great one.

🐝🐝Time to start on the characters, ig.

Incase you haven't seen my previous posts:

Here's where I built a theocracy (not so well, but I tried)

And here's where I built the magic system

I cannot tell you enough how many extra things I want to add to the Magic System that would break it and stop all chances for the characters to be smart.

So I ain't doing that.

Anyway let's start building a few characters before I lose motivation.

P.S. I'm getting the character template from dabblewriter.com. Have fun.

Let's start with one that's been on my mind for a while.

✨🦈Shark Boi🦈✨

A prince to the Shark Kingdom, and mimic.

My overall idea is that he can mimic parts from all species of sharks. So guess who's gonna have to learn about sharks... yay...

Anyway, character creation time, I'll leave my explanations after each part.

And if this is too long for you, there's a TL;DR at the end.

The name Galo is just the middle of Megalodon.

And he's 21 because why not?

European bc Megalodon remains can be found there as well as me being aware that kingdoms came from there, as well as this world being based on our own.

He's a prince, don't think they have occupations, and ofc he's getting an education, he's a prince.

March 14th is Pisces and those are fish. Meg and Don come from Megalodon, Lemon comes from the Lemon Shark, and Bask comes from the Fucking Eldritch Horror of Sharks, the Basking Shark, Thodian's name comes from Acanthodian, who's believed to be the ancestor of the modern day shark.

I couldn't think of any notable events, but I want him to be talented, so he can fight. I was thinking of putting him in a war, but that causes trauma, and I don't want to give my baby any trauma before the story ever.

Also he loves romance novels cause Pride and Prejudice is fucking adorable and so is any period romance or fantasy romance set in some form of medieval era/Victorian.

The idea of needing to do things alone comes from how some sharks hunt alone, as well as how he can eat raw fish (cooked tastes better though).

The "goblin deez nuts" joke is meant to be a reference to the goblin shark.

As for secrets I couldn't really think of much, but I'm guessing "someday he'll be falling, without caution." idk though.

Pls keep in mind everything is still a rough draft so I can't be certain that I'm sticking with what I make today.

I'm going to skip relationships, I'll work on that another time.

Rn I'm focusing on-

Character Growth (warning: spoilers, if you actually care)

Character archetype: Golden Retriever Boyfriend? no. Cold Prince with a Heart of Gold? no. ✨🦈Shark Boi🦈✨? yes.

Character arc: Learning to accept help, and that his value is not determined by how well he does something.

Core values: I don't have an answer unfortunately.

Internal conflicts: Is he really good enough to inherit the throne? What happens if he fails? idk I can't think of a lot

External conflicts: Ofc a Human Tamer possibly starting a war, he fails to stop them at something, maybe the antagonist persuades his parents to disown him or ruin his name or something. once again this is still in the early stages.

Goals: Obviously to stop the antagonist from killing tons of people... but why? maybe because he feels it's his duty as prince to stop the bad from happening? Maybe since everyone is scared of him, he wants them to trust him to be king?

Motivations: oh... I already answered that.

Epiphanies: ... he's worthy and doesn't need people to tell him?

Significant events/plot points: Thorian dies and he becomes the Shark Chosen?

Other notes: seems okay for now.

Cute Child! Clotted Cream hc. Captain Caviar and Oyster are his sassy yet sweet aunt and fun yet brash uncle figures. One time when Elder Custard was too busy, Captain Caviar took him and Oyster to the beach, building sandcastles and collecting seashells. They even caught a fish together! The two see Clotted Cream as their kid/nephew, and worry for him sometimes. Bonus: Oyster and Caviar are married.

Hmmm. The multi-shipper inside of me likes this plan. But I can make it somewhat funnier and sadder. :)

*The scene is set in the Crème Republic a few years ago. A young Clotted Cream and Light Cream were walking up to House Oyster's mansion. Oyster was standing outside the door, waiting for them.*

Light Cream: Thank you so much for watching over Clotted Cream today, Lady Oyster Cookie.

Oyster: Of course! I love spending time with him. And I know this errand you're doing will take a while, so I don't mind.

Light Cream: Thank you again. *bends down to Clotted Cream* Remember dear. You need to listen to Miss. Oyster, okay?

Clotted Cream: Okay mama. Love you.

Light Cream: Love you too sweetie. *places a kiss on his head before heading out.*

*Oyster and Clotted Cream waved goodbye and then went inside. Clotted Cream rushed over to the sea balcony. Oyster giggled and followed him.*

Oyster: You must really love the sea.

Clotted Cream: I want to see the sea. And I think Captain Caviar should be out there.

*Just as he said that, the Salty Shark stirred up to the balcony. Captain Caviar was standing on top of the main mast, which was nearly eye to eye with the balcony. He tipped his head and ordered the ship to stop.*

Oyster: *smiles* Captain Caviar, such a pleasure to see you today. What brings you here?

Captain Caviar: *smirks* Can't I say hello to my fellow Council member as I make sure my ship is still intact?

Oyster: I see, but so close to my balcony. Why is that?

Captain Caviar: Well, we do need to test our reflexes for rough terrain. Plus it helps if the training area has a nice view itself.

*This goes on a good bit. Clotted Cream looked back and forth between the two Cookies. His young mind blurted out the first thing on his mind.*

Clotted Cream: Are you two married?

*The moment those words came out of his mouth, Oyster froze up and Captain Caviar nearly fell off the main mast.*

Oyster: *starts sweating* Wh-what makes you say that?

Clotted Cream: *realizes his mistake and starts stuttering* I...I just t-thought that s-since I've r-read stories about C-Cookies marrying and they w-would talk like this. S-so...

Captain Caviar: Well... we're not married. But we do have some history and would have loved to be together.

Clotted Cream: Then wh-why aren't you t-two married?

Oyster: It's because...my father...

*Both she and Captain Caviar quickly noticed Clotted Cream frowning. Captain Caviar quickly spoke up.*

Captain Caviar: How about the three of us go to the beach? I can teach ya how to fish and we can even find something nice for your ma.

*Two hours later, the trio was sitting on the beach. Clotted Cream and Oyster were finishing up a sandcastle while Captain Caviar set up a fishing set-up.*

Oyster: And there we go! A beautiful castle for an adorable prince. *pats Clotted Cream's hair.*

Captain Caviar: Perfect timin'! The rods are ready and I can see some gummy fishes close by.

Clotted Cream: Yay! Then can we look for some seashells? I'm sure mama would like some.

Captain Caviar: Sure thing squirt.

*For a good two hours, the boys caught two buckets full of fish. All the while, Clotted Cream noticed all the flirting between the two elders. It was exactly like the books he read. As the sun started to set, the trio headed back to House Oyster's mansion.*

Clotted Cream: Today was so fun! I can't wait to show mama what we found!

Captain Caviar: I'm sure she'll love what you found. And I hope you get those fishes to your father. I'm sure he'll like them.

Oyster: And if he gives you any trouble, you tell him that your Auntie Oyster and Uncle Caviar can have a talk with him.

Clotted Cream: Okay! And I can even try to get him to help you guys get married!

*Oyster and Captain Caviar tensed up a bit. However, Captain Caviar came up with a plan.*

Captain Caviar: I don't think he could help...but if you become part of the council, then you could get us married.

Oyster: Caviar...

Captain Caviar: You can plan it all out and even invite other kingdoms to come. And if you can even convince Baumkuchen and Archbishop Cream to officiate our wedding, we will help you with whatever you want to do.

Clotted Cream: (I'm too young to be an Elder... So, if I become the Consul, I can do it!) Okay! I will! I will join the Council!

Movie Review: The Little Mermaid (2023)

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

Ah, Ariel. My favorite Disney princess. She's "my" princess. Ariel is the princess who introduced me to Disney (I was two years old when the movie came out), and I had a Little Mermaid themed bedroom for years. Bedding, curtains, pillows, toys, you name it. When Disney began making live action versions of their classic cartoons, I was hoping they'd follow suit with my favorite princess. And they finally did!

But imagine my disappointment at the casting... it has nothing to do with race. Those of us who grew up with these classic cartoons have certain expectations for the live action remakes. At the top of that list is the appearance of the characters. They should at least somewhat resemble their animated counterparts. The only character that even halfway resembled the source material was... (stops to think) Ursula and Vanessa. Halle's hair wasn't even red! /facepalm

But this post isn't about the casting. It's about the movie as a whole. As is customary with these live action remakes, there are going to be some differences and more than likely some extras. Let's begin with the first scene - text over water that literally says "But a mermaid has no tears, and therefore she suffers so much more."

Well dang, that started out on a depressing note. That note is quickly followed by a scene similar to the cartoon with Eric on a ship and dolphins swimming nearby... except the ship's crew is trying to kill the dolphins, thinking they're mermaids/sirens out to lure sailors to their deaths.

Yeah, we get more of the siren lore/backstory this time around. This is the coral moon, which is when mermaids are known to use their voices to lure men to their dooms. Eric doesn't believe this, and we're then told that he was adopted by the king and queen, so he's not actually the biological prince of the island. They totally did that to explain why the queen is Black and Eric is white.

Anyway, we're then introduced to Triton and his daughters... and no, their names no longer all start with "A." A minor point, yet another example of changing a classic just for the sake of changing it. There was nothing wrong with the girls' names before... why change them? And man, Triton be a playa - the girls are all different races!!! But besides that, I wasn't a fan of their tails/seashells. They honestly looked like dresses with fins. Take away the fins and I wouldn't have thought they were mermaids.

We do get to see the great shipwreck/shark scene, and then we're introduced to Scuttle... who is not only now a female, but also no longer a seagull. No, the self-proclaimed human expert is now some different breed of bird that is capable of diving underwater. The story this time around is that merpeople can't go to the surface at all (well, actually, that was also true in the cartoon), so I guess Disney felt compelled to change Scuttle's breed to make Ariel seem more obedient?

Now cue Ariel's iconic song, then she hears fireworks and swims up to the surface and we see Eric's ship for his birthday... then a storm comes up, the ship crashes, fire breaks out, yada yada yada... you know this part. Ariel saves the human, drags him up onto the beach, he wakes up to her singing but can only make out her silhouette against the sun, and then becomes obsessed with finding her. He uses practically every resource in the kingdom to find a girl he barely got a decent look at... much to the chagrin of the queen, who forbids him from going on any more voyages. And then we get to endure a completely unnecessary musical number by the prince about how he wants this mystery girl to find him and how he's basically being called to the sea.

Yeah, the song was completely pointless and I found it to be bland. But anyway, after that, we get the inevitable father/daughter argument that results in Ariel's grotto getting destroyed, and as she's (dry because of no tears) sobbing, Ursula uses her crystal ball to visit her and lure her to her cave. Yeah, her eel henchmen don't speak in this movie, but their eyes do their spy function.

We're then told that Ursula is Triton's younger sister. So I guess that's why, for 34 years, she's harbored a grudge against the Sea King. Sounds like a case of sibling rivalry/jealousy to me.

So yeah, obviously Ursula's grand plan is to use Ariel as bait to get to Triton in order to obtain the trident. She tells Ariel she'll give her legs and if she and Eric share a kiss before the sun sets in three days, she'll be a human forever... but at the cost of her voice. It's not just her voice anymore. It's her siren's song. Essentially, a mermaid without a voice is an empty shell, in Ursula's eyes. Okay then.

Now, a question that's plagued many for more than three decades - why did Ariel not just write down her story for Eric so he understood what was going on? Well, that part gets addressed now. Ursula sneaks a memory loss thing into her spell, so whenever Ariel is questioned about kissing Eric or anyone mentions it to her, she immediately forgets, so she has no idea that's what she needs to do.

So during Ariel's time on land, we do hear her singing - it's meant to be her subconscious. Because Disney had to warrant casting someone with such a great singing voice (according to them) being mute for a big chunk of the movie. Anyway, Ariel does eventually wander into Eric's "hobby room" in the castle where his maps, telescopes, and items from his adventures are. So really, the two are a lot alike - they both feel trapped in their own homes and desire more. So of course they're bonding.

So eventually we get to the "Kiss the Girl" scene, and it's been stated that some of the lyrics had been changed. Actually, some lyrics in "Poor Unfortunate Souls" were also changed, because apparently after 34 years, some of those lyrics don't hold up well.

So eventually Eric leans in for a kiss, but because of the memory loss thing, Ariel pulls away. I mean, she was leaning in at first, but then she's like

Yeah, the lyrics were changed because there was supposedly an implication that Eric was forcing himself on Ariel in the cartoon. Uh..... Ariel was 100% on board for that kiss, and it was the whole POINT! That's what was needed to break the spell and allow her to stay on land! He was hardly forcing himself on her!!!

This time around, if anyone was being forceful, it was Sebastian with all his coaxing Eric to kiss Ariel. Geez!

So then Vanessa makes her debut, and we then have to sit through an annoyingly pointless tune of Scuttle going on about the "scuttlebutt" of how Eric is going to propose... That was super annoying and absolutely unnecessary. Just say it!!!

Enter the engagement announcement party (no, not a wedding, just an announcement of one) at the castle (not on a ship), and of course Ariel's tail pops out, Ursula turns back into an octopus, and the queen is all OMG the sea creatures are gonna come back and kill us!!!

This time, instead of Eric getting on one of the ships brought up by Ursula, Ariel does it and uses the ship's wheel to steer the giant harpoon-like thing at the bow into Ursula. Eric wakes up and Ariel is gone, and the queen is like, "Our worlds weren't meant to be together." Or something like that. Talk about a mood killer.

But then Triton makes Ariel human (of course), and they get married, and set off for those "wild, unchartered waters." And now all the merpeople can come to the surface, so we get to see them and the humans being all harmonious.

And... end. Yeah, no rainbow in the sky created by Triton. What a missed opportunity that was.

So yeah, I didn't see this movie in theaters out of principle, and I didn't buy the DVD/Blu-Ray. I just watched it on Disney+. Some things were good, as I anticipated they would be, but honestly, they could have done so much better. Eric didn't need a song, and neither did Scuttle... and Ariel literally wore the same dress the entire time she was human. You can't tell me that huge palace didn't have more dresses she could wear. And no, we don't see her dinner dress (the pink one)... in fact, that dinner scene never happens. The "using the fork as a comb" thing happens when Eric is showing Ariel the market, when Jodie Benson (the original voice of Ariel) gives her something to eat with the fork.

I'm still not completely on board with all the race/gender changes. By doing this, it just tells Disney that it's okay to do that for every single remake. Snow White is going to be a train wreck... they can't even get the story right for the TITLE. These live action remakes are getting worse, honestly. Changing just for the sake of changing is a stupid reason to do so. There's a reason the classics are classics.

I'm not saying this movie was horrible. But I am saying it could have been better. Could have been worse, too, though, so... kind of a double-edged sword here. Out of principle I don't want to give the movie a high rating because of all the changes, most notably the casting of "my" princess... again, not because it's a race thing, but because it's a principle thing. But regardless, I'll go ahead and give it 7/10. My biggest gripes are the added songs that were more annoying than anything.

The Prince and Janus may understand that Remus was just being silly, and also trying to vent his 'meeting a new person' anxiety, but Virgil, who also dealt with new person anxiety, might not take it so well.

"Um! What a great nickname!! I can't believe I've never used that one before! I—"

"Duke—" The Prince began to no doubt tell him that it came off as mocking but stopped as Virgil began to laugh.

"Yes, because I totally meant for 'Um' to be my nickname, not that I still can't think of a good one."

"Well, good. Because I'm calling you 'Um' for the rest of time! So, I knew it! Um is a brilliant nickname. I'm a genius."

"To be fair this has happened before," Roman said.

Janus raised an eyebrow. "Oh, don't tell."

"Well, considering he told me to call him Chrysanthemum and then was like 'no, wait—', and then he said 'twig' so I'd say that this is almost a habit, or at least close to a pattern."

Remus laughed. "Oh man, I sure wouldn't want to be an author who had to keep typing Chrysanthemum over and over again! Like Chrysanthemum, Chrysanthemum, Chrysanthemum. That'd be so difficult. How many times do you think a dyslexic author would have to struggle through that?"

"I... Well, that was a very specific example…" The Prince just stared at his brother for a moment before continuing, clearly used to Remus' antics, "Anyway, so," —he glanced from Janus to Virgil a few times— "You two know each other?"

"Yeah," Virgil quietly admitted, and Janus couldn't help but wonder what he must think of him.

How cruel he was, how horrible it'd been of him to just leave like that.

"I'm listening," Janus said, quiet, almost too quiet but he knew Virgil had heard him by the way he tried to hide the extra panic Janus' words had brought.

"Right, well, I…"

The Prince seemed to see something there too because he stood and said, "Come on, Duke. Let's go outside, see your garden, and let them… catch up." He looked at Virgil before he left, however. "We'll just be right out the back door right here, okay?" At Virgil's hesitant nod, The Prince continued, "Let me know if you need anything."

After the twins had left, Janus leaned forward in his chair slightly and looked at Virgil, trying to mask his concern with curiosity. "You have questions for me?"

"What happened?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well… it just, kinda seems like you started to resent me… and you never…" Virgil's eyes cast to his lap as his breath stuttered, he continued though, voice soft, "You never visited me."

Janus paused a moment to collect his thoughts. "There was a clause that I didn't think too much of at the time, but it said that I couldn't come within fifty feet of G's property after my work contract was up… and since he didn't… so with you never leaving except to go to these high society events that I certainly wasn't invited to. I'm so sorry, Virgil. I should've, I should've done more somehow. I—"

"But then why did you just leave without telling me? Wh— what did I do wrong?" Virgil sniffed and wiped under an eye. "I just don't understand what I did wrong."

"No! I— you didn't— oh, Virgil." Janus took a steading breath. "You didn't do anything wrong. I was… young and stupid. I was trying to get you to like me less so it wouldn't hurt as bad when I had to leave. I even tried to get you out in exchange for more work with less benefits… not that they were great to begin with. But I wasn't able to— I just eventually gave up, and that was so wrong, and I'll never forgive myself for that. I just. I know this'll never be enough but I'm so sorry."

Virgil hesitated, seeming to be carefully picking his words. "I... need time, but… I think someday I'll be able to forgive you. It's just— a lot."

"Of course! That's more than I could ever hope for." Janus wanted to jump up and sit on the couch next to Virgil, but he also didn't want to startle or scare him, so Janus said, "I'm going to get you a cup of water."

Virgil was still trying to settle into an even breathing pattern but nodded. "Okay, th— thank you."

While Janus busied himself with getting a glass and filling it at the sink, he considered everything that'd happened. Today had been wild, he'd never expected to get to see Virgil again, let alone talk things out with him —although Janus highly doubted that they were anywhere near done with that—, but nothing about them, how they had met, or their situation they'd found themselves for all those years was normal.

Not being able to help, let alone save Virgil, had weighed guiltily on Janus' mind for far too long, but now that he was free, Janus would make sure that nothing would ever hurt him again. Maybe The Prince had a plan to take down G.

And he knew, even as briefly as he'd seen The Prince and Virgil interact, that by The Prince's loving expressions and the air of soft care that he had around Virgil, that The Prince also wouldn't let G harm Virgil.

He definitely needed to have a chat with The Prince tonight.

It would be dealt with. They would make sure of it.

He would frequently mess with you, saying he could do it better or that even a monkey could do such work that you so dearly call art. But deep inside, you know he's only joking, since he loves to see you mad at him: as he had told you before, he finds it cute because you look like an angry chihuahua, trying to fight an enormous shark, as he would call himself in these situations.

However, when he was feeling tired and was in the right mood, he would sit on a chair right beside you, watching you calmly working until you had finished.

Most of the time you would blush and timidly smile afterwards, acknowledging his striking presence without even looking at him.

Once he had sat beside you, he wouldn't say a word, appreciating your innate talent of artistic skills... and when he does, it's to ask about your technique, or to give his honest opinion on which color or shape should your art preferably have.

You would gladly appreciate his constructive criticism, explaining enthusiastically everything he would ask you, nodding to his commentaries or even debate about it.

One day, you decided to prepare a surprise for him: draw the infamous prince of crime, better known as The Joker, that is, him.

You were so excited to see his reaction: he had stolen many expensive gifts before for you, so you decided to pay him back in kind, making something made by yourself, knowing that it would mean much more for him than something material (even if he doesn't admit it).

While he was causing chaos and burning the city down, you were peacefully making your gift for him: the two climates seemed to create a funny contrast.

This was a arduous task, and to achieve perfection you had to take a lot of time.

You were really proud of your work, analyzing it one last time to make sure everything was fine.

Meanwhile, you heard the window of your room opening and someone coming in right after, accompanied by a deep groan.

You quickly put your painting behind your back, the canvas being way too big for you to hide, but at least he couldn't see it properly.

"Ah... what's that?" he curiously asked, while frowning his eyebrows and pointing to your back with his gloved hand once he saw your quick effort in hiding it.

"I ah... did something for you. I wanted to offer you a gift that I made, so... I hope you like it." you shyly replied while giving your gift to him.

He was still hesitant, since his definition of "surprises" was very relative. But it came from you, so it was surely a good surprise.

Once he saw it, he was speechless. He never expected this from anyone, someone wasting their precious time to draw him so carefully, maybe even so perfectly. He didn't know what to say or how to react, but one thing he knew for sure: he loved it.

"You ah... did this?" it was a stupid question, he knew you had done it, but he couldn't believe that you had made that for him.

"Oh no, I just passed through a cheap painting shop that is a real fan of yours and decided to buy it." you said, whilst rolling your eyes.

He briefly laughed at this, being way too concentrated on his amazing drawn face.

"I didn't know I was so ah... handsome." he joked, earning a sweet laugh from you.

"You like it?" you seriously asked, while softly biting your lip, not knowing what was in J's unpredictable and complex mind.

"Meh, it could be worse. A monkey could still do it better." you let out a loud gasp, pretending to be offended, and punched him in the arm, making him laugh at you.

"There is the ah... little angry chihuahua." he laughed at you, this time more hysterically.

"Don't underestimate the power of a chihuahua, J. I can still bite a shark with way more strength than you think." you teased while smirking at him.

He then kissed your forehead, his way of thanking you for your exceptional surprise.

From then on, he would wake up seeing his pretty drawn face, which would definitely increase his ego and confidence, but also remember the unconditional love that you have for one another.

So I finally nailed down my designs for the black heart characters (except colossus, perry/predator and Madusa I'm still massing with them) along with some head canons! The characters might look a bit weird next to each other, I didn't draw them all on the same canvas. I know I'm suppose to but I was lazy and didn't want to re draw the refs on one canvas. I also appologize for this being so long.

I'm hoping to start a comic with these guys. I always end up saying no to projects like this because I don't think my art is good enough but I think I'm going to put my foot down this time!

Hal:

Can talk(unlike my version of Cyan)

Pretty laid back but knows when he needs to be serious

Will curse you out

Thinks Aura and Nautilus are cute together

His cape works as his "soul meter"(idk what to call it). It has 3 squares on the back that represent Hal's souls. The cape becomes tattered and ripped when souls are taken.

He just wants 5 minutes of peace without someone trying to take his souls, please give him his 5 minutes of peace.

Really hates colossus

In the context of black heart I don't consider him a nano bot. He can bleed and stuff like that.

When he sleeps his body starts to heal any wounds and mend his cloths. This leaves him defenseless as he will remain unconscious until it's finished. He tries not to sleep out in the open and often uses caves and trees as temporary shelters when he needs to sleep. This can also activate when he is knocked unconscious but in cases like with Colossus the healing part is stopped.

He can change colors but he prefers red. His cloths don't change colors with him. Just his skin and his cape.

Again, in he context of black heart, I imagine Hal just kinda woke up somewhere with a bit of knowlage about himself and that's about it. Shortly after works he ran into Aura and Nautilus for the first time. He considered the battle a joke.

Nautilus:

Has glowing markings all over his body. He can cause them to glow at will

Can only breath air for around 10 minutes( this time can decrease with some conditions such as heat or cold. This is because his gills need to be wet for him to breath air, so if it's really hot out his gills will dry out faster)

Has a stutter due to the N.A.T.U thing, among other things. Like trust issues when Xero is around

Is euryhalinr(this just means he can breath any kind of water)

His suit adds about 100lbs to him (material, water, and special boots to help with balance when moving around in the suit)

Likes to make jewlary with shells and stuff

Loves Aura to death. Would litterally die for her.

His teeth work like a shark's. One falls out? You've got plenty more to fill the gap! He has given pretty much all his friends breif heart attacks when he casually spits one out after they hear the loud bone cracking noise of a tooth braking. He keeps all the teeth.

Runs on all fours for some reason. No one knows why, including Aura.

Aura:

Learned all her magic from her parents

Her parents lived like hermits because they believed people still hold witch hunts. Aura hated this because she snuck out a lot and knew that this wasn't the case.

Can be a bit forgetful with spells so she always keeps her book with her at all times

Love Nautilus to death, would die for him too.

Can't swim, her body it denser then water so she just sinks. Nautilus is almost always with her when she's near water for this reason.

Aura's wand is broken but she just keeps fixing it with tape because she doesn't know how to make a new one. She also doesn't want to ask her parents because they wouldn't let her live it down.

Made the headphones Puffer wears so he doesn't have to worry about Siren trying to mind control him, again.

Aura has a secret garden. She uses it to grow her magic plants. It has a defense system that even Jestar can't get past. Only those she has given permission can enter, but those people can give temporary permission to others. Only Nautilus, Puffer and Solario have permission to go into the garden.

Has gotten use to the weird things Natalie can do.

Puffer:

A bit of a hermit, but will open up when he trusts someone

Always has his eyes closed because he thinks his eyes look scary. He can still see for some reason? (Like Brock from pokemon, idk how he could see but he traveled like 3-4 regions like that)

Changes colors depending on emotions. Blue is calm and happy, purple is upset and sad and red is anger and frustration.

Puffer can create lots of spikes all over his body if needed as well as a set of claws. He doesn't do this often.

Likes to cook but keeps it a secret from everyone. (Aura and Nautilus found out though, they just kept the secret)

He really doesn't like Siren after what she did to him, but he will talk to her and hang out with her if someone else he trusts is around.

Really wants to apologize to Hal but he hasn't gotten the chance to yet.

Is really self conscious.

He's not very good at swimming but Nautilus teaches him when Siren isn't around or in Aura's secret garden.

Siren:

Likes to sing for no reason

Has a not so small army of skeleton fish

Is litterally heartless (she doesn't like to talk about it)

Has a crush on Puffer but she doesn't know how to fix the bridge she burned with him

Plays chess with Myst a lot(and wins a lot, much to Myst's dismay)

She can shape shift her tail into a pair of legs. This was a "gift" from Jestar to help her be a better assassin for him

Thinks Xero is a prick

Likes to steal Xero's alcohol sometimes

Can water bend. She can't blood bend though. She's tried.

Likes rock and country music for some reason

Nautilus likes to play with her fish some times.

Knows a bit about necromancy. She doesn't like to talk about it though. She never does it in front of anyone besides her fish army

Myst:

Doesn't like to talk about his life outside work

Is well over 100 years old( he lost count)

Is very protective when it comes to Shade

Doesn't really understand Shade but will support her regardless

Likes to smoke when he thinks no one is around

Can create an umbrella to protect himself if he is caught outside when the sun comes up

Likes to play chess

Is basically a dad to the other assassins

Rarely opens his third eye. This usually only happens when he gets frantic, scared or extreamly angry

Does not have any remorse over killing Parry

He doesn't eat in front of others if it can be helped

Myst told Nautilus about Shade once. He had a bad feeling and asked that if anything happened to him Nautilus would take care of her. Only problem was no one thought about the address of Myst and Shade's mansion. He found her though, don't worry.

When he is exposed to sunlight it will immediately cause him to get sunburned. If he doesn't leave after about 30 seconds- 1 minute he will start to die slowly and painfully. He has taken a lot of tea baths because of the sun

Solario:

A big dork

Very loud and bubbly

Is a prince from a kingdom galaxies away from where black heart takes place in

Was suppose to marry the moon from the moon is getting away level (haven't given her a name yet) but she unknowingly broke Sol's heart so he left. He wanted her to be happy and he clearly couldn't give her that happiness.

Doesn't understand "mortal" things but wants to learn.

Nautilus taught him the word yeet and now he won't stop using it

I headcanon that his voice actor would Gary LeVox(lead singer of Rascal Flatts)(don't ask why, I can't change what has happened in my brain)

Will stop at nothing to see his friends happy

Likes hanging out with Aura, Nautilus and Puffer

Can make himself hotter or colder at will. He tends to stay at a heat that won't hurt others when the go near him, but not cold enough to cause himself harm.

If he gets to cold he can die. He also starts to become extreamly cold or extremely hot before death. The direction his tempature goes in is dependent on what he was doing before hand. (Example: reading a book, gets shot, starts to get colder and colder. Attacking Hal trying to get his soul, shapeshifts so much he almost blows himself up, gets hotter and hotter)

Can be a bit over dramatic sometimes

He is incredibly strong. He can lift both Puffer(who whieghs roughly 230 lbs) and Nautilus when he's in his suit(so about 250 lbs) with no trouble. He forgets about his stranghth some times and has accidentally thrown a few things before quickly trying to fix it.

His shapeshifting isn't limited to just objects, he can shape shift small things about him self like his cloths or his entire body into something like a dinosaur. He doesn't do it often though. Mostly just the cloths thing.

Jestar:

Yells a lot

Thinks everyone is incompetent except Xero, for some reason

Accidentally took Puffer when Siren joined do to a confusion about Sirens powers. He refused to send Puffer home.

Colossus is basically just his pet

Xero is the only one who can get away with yelling at Jestar. No one really knows why but they hold really long arguments about all sorts of stupid stuff

Did I mention he yells a lot? I did? Well I’m saying it again. He yells A LOT.

Can shapeshift in to anything

Does not know how to handle baby Madusa. He doesn't know how to handle people in general, and he thought creating a baby was a good idea.

Xero:

Smokes and drinks a lot

Has a German accent(I can’t un heard it, I’m sorry)

Has a wrapped sense of humor

Calls Natilus “shark boy” after natilus bit him(this is related to what happened before N.A.T.U)

Calls everyone a nicknames besides Jestar.

Makes more robots then he needs and holds robot death battles at night.

Wants to dissect Siran after he found out she’s litterally heartless.

Is drunk 90% of the time but that's when he works best. He doesn't care that he has a problem either

Dressed Madusa up is costumes a lot during the 2 weeks it took him to grow up. He created a scrap book with photos of them too.

Can actually be a really nice dude when he wants to be. He doesn't normally want to be nice

90% of his robots are idiots

He's left handed

Colossus:

Is basically Jestar’s pet

Doesn’t speak a language anyone knows

Is basically a king without a kingdom

Starts out really tiny but gets really big for a short period of time once he has infected someone

Shade:

Has trust issues

Is only like 16 years old

Has normal(ish) ghost powers because she was born a ghost

Drives Myst nuts with her edgy stuff

Likes talking to Perry(she meets him after the Funk Hole level)

Can bounce between having a ghost tail to having normal legs.

Her flower is technically apart of her but she doesn't consider it part of her.

Perry:

Kinda skittish around people who look scary to him(so 90% of the black heart cast)

Has a crush on Shade but won't admit it out loud because he's scared of getting bitten in half by Myst, again.

Around 18 years old

Left home because his mom and brother suck and he wanted to be a ghost hunter like the ones he saw on tv. He got his wish for like 2 hours?

Transforms into Predator during the full moons and special moons. Special moons can have different effects on his transformation and mental state. Like a blood moon causes him to become more blood thirsty but a blue moon causes him to actually retain his normal mental state.

He has a habit of spiraling about everything

Predator:

Can't say anything understandable

Each part of his head has a brain so they agrue sometimes

Around 5X the size of Parry

Acts like a dog sometimes

Would have probably just ate Hal instead of taking the souls.

Madusa:

Can breath underwater and air without issue

Doesn't like the fact that he looks like Nautilus

Hasn't figured out how to swim fast like nautilus yet but won't admit it

Calls Jestar dad

Actually gets along well with Xero

Xero calls him Moccasin

Has markings like Nautilus but they only glow in the dark and they aren't as bright

He's allergic to shell fish

Actually had about a 2 week period where he was a kid. Xero and Jestar just gave him a special serum that caused I'm to grow up faster.

Most of his teeth ended up like Aura's but his canines are significantly sharper then they would be. Xero also found an extra set of teeth under Madusa's adult teeth.

Doesn't like the idea that his whole life rests on a tiny, easy to brake, stone on his head but just rolls with it.

Scared Jestar and Xero a lot during his first few days of life. He not only descovered his allergy to shell fish but almost got himself caught by the others a bunch of times.

All these guys belong to OL666 except Hal, he belongs to vitamin games

*The scene is set in the Créme Republic. It was after the Salty Shark set off. Custard III was coloring and humming a little tune in his bedroom when he heard a knock on his door.*

Custard III: Oh! Come in! *The door opened to reveal Custard and Light Cream.* Mom! Dad! How are you? How's Uncle Cream Scone?

Light Cream: He's doing fine. Still in the hospital but he'll be fine.

Custard III: That's great news!

Custard: (All those years out in sea...I can't imagine the pain he went through.) Yes. You will be able to visit him in a few days. *pats Custard III's head)

Custard III: That's great news! I hope I can finish this drawing before we can visit!

Light Cream: That's wonderful, my little prince...we actually have a question for you.

Custard III: Hmm? Okay. What is it?

Custard: It's about Clotted Cream...

Custard III: Okay-

Light Cream: And his friend. The Hollyberrian that Lady Hollyberry adopted.

Custard III: ...

*Thinking back to the conversation he had with Clotted Cream and Red Velvet a few months back.*

Custard III: Why can't I tell mom or dad about Wildberry?

Clotted Cream: I...I...um...I don't think father is ready yet...and mother...

Red Velvet: The point is Custard Cream...this is your brother's secret to tell. When he's ready, he'll tell them. When he feels safe.

Custard III: Safe from what?

Clotted Cream: The world...is not always like the Cookie Kingdom. Not every Cookie is okay with Cookies that don't fit the same mold as them. Physical or not. *places a hand on Custard III's head* I just want to make sure that I feel safe when I tell them. Just please be patient with me.

*Back to the present time, Custard III looked up at his parents.*

Custard III: Do you mean Mr. Wildberry? He's a good friend to big brother.

Light Cream: Friend...How close are they?

Custard III: They're...close. They hang out whenever they can.

Custard: Is that all?

*Custard III nods. Custard and Light Cream looked at each other before smiling at Custard III.*

Light Cream: That's all we wanted to know sweetie. Sorry to disturb you.

Custard: We'll leave you to your drawing.

*Both older Cookies walk out the door, leaving Custard III in his room. He let out a sigh and continued drawing. As soon as they were in another hallway, Custard and Light Cream stopped walking.*

Custard:...did our youngest just lie to us?

Light Cream: I'm pretty sure. But I also think Clotted Cream told him not to tell.

Custard: That makes sense. Do you think he will tell us the truth one day?

Light Cream: When he's ready, he will.

NOVEMBER BITESIZE BKDK CHALLENGE

01.

Izuku meets the Lord of Mountain, his new husband, for the first time in a cave. The large wolf pulls at his pants as Izuku struggles to fight it off, squeaking, "I'm sorry, sorry, I'm just not into bestiality!"

Then his husband, the direwolf, snarls, "I'm not a fucking wolf!"

02.

Katsuki and his relationship have always been bound by a long unbroken chain since their childhood; they'd never been truly apart for long.

"I'll be leaving Japan to see the world with All Might after our graduation," Izuku says with a melancholic smile. "Don't wait up for me."

03.

The full force of Izuku's kick knocks the LoV's deadliest assassin into a wall. In the impact, his muzzle falls to the ground, revealing a startlingly familiar face underneath it.

"Kacchan?!" Izuku says, stunned.

Jackal glares at him and growls. "Who the fuck is Kacchan?"

04.

"I'm not going to hurt you," Bakugou says gruffly on their marriage bed.

"That's a lie," Izuku murmurs, tired but not defeated. Every word that had passed Bakugou's lips had been used to cut him into pieces. "But that's okay, one day I'll have you mean every word of it."

"You weren't in bed," Katsuki says pointedly.

Izuku winces. "Sorry, I went out on a run." He pauses. "But I wouldn't leave without telling you."

"Last time we fucked you ran half way across the world for two years, so yea I'm not holding my breath here," Katsuki says dryly.

06.

"S-sorry, Kacchan, but I can't—" he sobs, but his aim is true as he holds the gun up between himself and the man he loved. Loves. And meet the ferocious hunger in those familiar red eyes.

One bullet. Two souls. One living and the other dead. Shot fire. A body falls—but whose?

07.

"—they only wish for you to continue your bloodline, my lord," Izuku insists.

"You stupid human." Katsuki glowers at him as he lowers his massive reptilian head to Izuku's level. "How do you think babies are made?" he demands, staring at him pointedly.

Izuku blinks, and oh.

08.

“You lost brat?" Katsuki grunts. "Where's your parent?"

She makes an offended huff. "I'm not lost! I'm hunting."

His eyes narrow. "Hunting what?"

"I'm Midoriya Kasumi and I'm looking for a rich, single and capable alpha for my papa. You're lucky candidate no. 3, Zero-san."

"Your shirt," Ochako says. The eyes of his friends haven't left him since he'd walked in to get breakfast.

"My shirt?" He looks down and there it is, black and loose on him with a skull on fire print and the word 'die, die, die' repeated under it. "Oh," he says. "I can explain?"

"Six years," Katsuki seethes, pressing the dagger against his throat. "You ran."

"No, I left," Izuku corrects, steadfast even in the face of danger, "to protect our future. I'm tired of your wars."

He frowns. "Wha—?"

"Papa?" a soft, anxious voice calls out from the bedroom.

He blows out a plume of smoke as Izuku makes a face. "I hate it when you do that."

Katsuki gives a coy smirk. "Yea?" he says, and takes another drag of the cigarette before pulling him in by the neck for a hungry, rough kiss and breathes the fume into his parted gasping lips.

12.

Izuku clenches tight around his waist, palms pressing against a hard chisel stomach as they soar through the skyline.

"Try not to cop a feel, yea?" Zero teases.

"I'm married," he hisses, face red at the idea of flirting with another man. Oh god, Kacchan is going to kill Zero.

13.

"You did well today," he says, watching the deep rivets that his cruel words once left on Izuku's skin softens ever so slightly. One day, Katsuki will convince him that he means it, rewriting the old scars till they mirror the sunflower that had bloomed over Katsuki's heart.

14.

"Kid, forget about it," Bullwhip warns as a group of omegas is herd through the citadel by armed guards. "Those O's are Overhaul's prize breeders."

"It's not them I want," Katsuki says, watching one of them abruptly stop and look back. Familiar green eyes meet his. "Found you."

15.

"You shot me," he accuses, clutching at his bleeding left side.

Izuku winces. "I was aiming for the ar'it behind you."

"And missed." Katsuki glowers. "'gonna get me kill one day and after I'd saved your ass that first time!"

He gives him a look. "You won me in a card game."

16.

"Will she be ok?" he asks.

Katsuki looks up from the injured dog. "You know this isn't a fucking rescue," he grumbles.

Izuku bites down on his lips anxiously and Katsuki sighs. "She'll be fine." Dumb. Ass, Beast says, digging her talons into his shoulder. Woo mate good ok.

“Little demon," he greets.

Izuku elbows him in the side and scolds, "Be nice! She's in shock right now because she'd just found out you're her sire."

Katsuki snorts and meets Kasumi's frigid gaze of indifference. "Sperm donor," she retorts, her smile sharp and full of bite.

18.

The day after his mom got remarried to the woman of her dream, Mitsuki pulls them aside. "You two are brothers now," she says. "Be good to each other."

Katsuki looks beyond pissed, but it is Izuku who feels the sinking dread of the word, 'brothers', as he smiles weakly at her.

19.

Izuku's heart was brutally murdered over the azure sky, died at the hand of a callous raider, and he's sharing the same space with that very man now. "You'd killed my Kacchan," he hisses.

The Dread Pirate Zero's lips twist in a crude veneer of a smile. "I sure did, Deku."

20.

"—I just wanna squeeze him tight in my arms and never let go."

"Ohmygod," Kirishima wheezes, "you like-like Midoriya."

"Yea, I do," Katsuki agrees easily, palms warmth as he gets up from his seat, "and that's why he has to die. Now." He marches over to Izuku with intent.

21.

"Who is the best boy in the world?" Izuku coos. "That's right it's Kacchan!"

"Stop calling the dumb mutt that," Katsuki snaps, beside him. "Why the fuck do I have to share my name with it?!" As though understanding the insult, Kacchan turns in Izuku's arms to snarl at Katsuki.

22.

"Found you," he says, gripping Izuku's wrist tightly. "No more running."

"Bakugou-san, please let our teahouse's shinzo go," the Madame interrupts. "Izuku-chan is still a trainee. His body and time isn't for sell yet."

Izuku smiles thinly. "I can't run even if I want to now."

23.

To Izuku’s right is Tatsuya and his left, Katsuki. They are a trio. Izuku and the Bakugou twins.

"I like you, Izuku," Tatsuya confesses with a shy smile.

His breath hitches as he looks over Tatsuya's shoulder to see Katsuki watching them with a darken expression on his face.

24.

"Ah, you're Izuku-kun!" Ashido says, face lighting up. "He never said anything about having a sweetheart back home."

"So how did he woo you?" Kaminari presses.

"Sixty million yen," Izuku says with a depreciating smile. "That was how much he bought my hand in marriage for."

25.

"—I never thought you of all people would become a homewrecker, Deku! Zero is married to the lovely Izuku-san!" she wails.

Izuku tries to protest, but the fan stomps off in an angry huff.

"What the fuck," Katsuki hisses beside him. "She thinks I'm cheating on you with you."

26.

A weighted pause, and then, "Why now?" he presses.

Izuku shrugs. "Maybe it's my omegan instinct finally waking up. Or I'm just lonely, but I thought a baby would be nice. So," he approaches Katsuki like a shark scenting blood in water, "please gimme your sperm, Kacchan."

27.

"—all you've given me is the bottom of the barrel," he snarls.

"Sorry," the caseworker says as he guides him into another private room, "but this next match is the best surrogate omega at our agency."

Familiar green eyes and freckles looks up from his seat. "Hi, Kacchan."

28.

"Are you okay?!" he says, racing toward Katsuki but abruptly he is grab by the arm. He looks back to see the unnerving angry glare of Shouto pinning him in place. His gaze flickers back to the Katsuki in front whose face is set in cool placidity.

His eyes widen. "Shouto-kun?"

29.

"—sugoi!"

"Midoriya," the professor turns around to give him a pained look, "this is a debate and not a sporting event."

He smiles apologetically and refocuses to the front where Katsuki is verbally tearing into his opponent. "Go, Kacchan!" he whispers aggressively instead.

30.

He stares in terror as his sneaker sails across the air and into the packed crowd. It lands right on top of a bright blond head and then, "Who fucking threw this?!" an angry roar breaks through.

"Ohmygod, Izuku," Ochako says, half in horror and awe, "that's the Crown Prince."
