YES OF COURSE THANK YOU FOR ASKING!!

his name is Ikaron, hes a trans man and cousin to Ulixes, though they're not close. i've got two paintings featuring him so far, one in martanaise during the strike when he got stuck out there intending to visit Ulixes over break and investigate the end of the radio game broadcast from there, and a second one of him working on his thesis for grad school!

he's studying radio-entroponetics and interisolary communications, with the goal of getting the towers within the pale to a state of self-sufficiency enough that they don't need someone to constantly man them and be exposed to so much pale and latitude compression (ouch). he's terrified of the pale and decided to study it really hard to hopefully become less afraid but ended up getting really into radio frequency and networks lol--

he's big into wirral and all genres of techy stuff. i'm having fun come up with the way he processes things - i'm currently working on a set of skills for him (i know thats harrys thing but ikaron can have a quiet internal dialogue too i know i do). but because of how much computer stuff he does on a daily basis he relates himself to technology a lot, says/thinks things like whether he has the bandwidth for more information or the signals got crossed in his brain.

inspired partially by [this song] he spurred himself on to research into radio tech and that sent him into his feild now. it was sort of a joint effort between the voice spouting radio jargon that seemed to cole from inside his head and his incredible fear of the pale. i imagine when he was young he heard himself years and years in the future through the fragments of entroponetic radiation between the wavelengths of the radioman's voice. he never heard that voice again but it kind of stuck with him until he heard those same words coming out of his own mouth.

maka and s.oul are a really good duo in fighting, they trust each other and know each other's limits, but when they're not fighting, they're always bickering like an old married couple and I find it so silly. soul (ch.ilde) is usually the one to provoke maka (celadon) and she gets violent FPFKTKOFKTF

in the story, soul acts as this designated weapon (the scythe) for maka and I think it'd be perfect how celadon wields chi.lde and he's constantly annoying her like "oouuh you're so strong omg my herooooo" and she's like "shut the HELL up. why are we partners." LMAOAIDJSJJDJS

"Why isn't 'X' a thing?!?!"

I can promise you it is. Just because your current bubble isn't into it doesn't mean no one is. There's thriving community for 'X' already well established you just have to break out of your comfort zone to go look for it.

"'X' shouldn't be considered a niche it should be mainstream!!"

Okay, so start flooding my dash with it. Like I know that might not get it beyond this hell site, but if you want more people to be into it then singing it's praises are going to get you a lot further than complaining that "nobody likes this because the industry is evil 😡". Yes corporate is evil, but in this case I don't like it because I never heard of it before and therefore have no opinion other than that you should sit down.

#wdip #i cant really tell when im spiralling until someone points it out #and i can tell that im spiralling so its not good.#i want to do some art or something to help myself feel better but if i do art then im not being productive aka applying to jobs #it is physically painful to reach out for jobs at this point #i feel like im never going to be happy #feels like theres no point #and then if i complain about this i feel bad because ive been so fortunate to have enough saved that im able to be out of work for so long #and then its like well you knew this would happen and you KNEW it would take rock bottom to get you to take this seriously and you kinda #hoped youd get there faster if you quit your job and had to deal with it #im not trying to be dramatic but i truly dont see any paths forward that lead to me feeling fulfilled which has been a major source of #the hashtag ol depression #and my sleep schedule has been absolute garbage recently since i dont have a schedule anymore #ive been up since 4pm yesterday #and the work its gonna take me to get out of this feels insurmountable #especially by myself #im so tired of feeling like this #im just feeling so alone #i feel hollow #i know i need to move around more i know it #but i look in the mirror and barely recognize myself #my body doesnt feel like my body #the physical limitations of not being able to move ways that i know im flexible enough for because theres a physical barrier of fat #and my inner fatphobia has been having a field day #its been really difficult to acknowledge the fact that im fat now and i will likely just be fat for the rest of my life #it's immensely unbelievably incomprehensibly difficult to do the hard work toward feeling better when you look in the mirror and see nothin #even more difficult when you look in the mirror and see a twisted version of who you used to be and wonder if she's in there somewhere #and im tired of the canned advice on how to get out of ruts i KNOW THE THINGS I HAVE TO DO! I NEEED to go back to making art that makes it ABUNDANTLY clear that theres something wrong with my brain BUT NOT in a cool or stylishly interesting way. i need to do it in a way that makes people say "hm." and walk away

notes: as an atiny on tumblr.com, i feel like it's a rite of passage to read moc. it's one of the best written works i have had the privilege of reading. it's gripping, it's heartbreaking, it's filled with yearning and love, and has you hoping that the characters survive this ordeal. san i love you most you can tell by the masterlist alone that she has crafted a whole space pirate universe intricately and with the utmost care. she deals with the trauma of the characters so so well and i cant lie ive cried a lot reading it jdhdksjddj, it's the fic that made me start reading ateez ff, i mean, i started reading before even knowing ateez and i had to have a separate tab open to remember who was who. that alone can tell you how much of a work of art this is. omg, im blabbering, but please read this.

ushijima has one of your engagement pictures framed and hung so it's visible as soon as anyone enters your home.

it's a bit out of character for him, honestly. incredibly ornate, immense, and dramatic.

and it's not that he doesn't partake in romantic gestures, you'll never deny that. but, his gestures are usually intimate and reserved for the two of you. his love for you and how he honors it is meant for you and you alone.

to ushijima though, this picture is a testament to your love. something that shouldn't only be framed but displayed for everyone to see. for those who step foot into your home to understand that this is one, if not the proudest achievement of his life. to understand the adoration and devotion that's housed within these walls.

it resembles an art piece, from the positioning down to the framing. at 147cm wide and 112cm tall, it takes up the majority of the wall opposite the entryway. it's frame is thick midnight wood, with waves carved by hand that glint with the gold and bronze finish. the sloping profile of the frame reminds him of the sea, it's tide, and the pull the moon has on the salty body. looking at the picture, it's easy to see you are his moon.

in the picture, the sunlight filters through gaps in the clouds, a glow surrounding your figure. highlighting your body's movements as you're captured mid-laugh. you're tucked into ushijima's right side, an arm wrapped around you securing you to him. head thrown back, silent laughter escaping your lips, with rays of light highlighting patches of your skin, ushijima is captured by you. in that moment, his torso turns towards you, eyes soft as he gazes at you with such affection you'd have missed it if not captured. in that frozen moment, with unabashed loving looks and gentle smiles, ushijima wakatoshi is captured at his happiest.

How long have you been on T/How do you have a beard at 19? I came out at 12 years old, started blockers at 14 and HRT later that same year, and had top surgery at 17, making me 5 years on t and 2.5 years post op.

What show/game/comic is your icon from? its a cropped version of the album cover of the 1999 album “shake the pounce” by vancouver based twee pop band Gaze. It’s a favorite album of mine as well as just a cool little guy i like a lot

Where is your header from? a painting i did in gouache a year or two ago and thought would make a nifty header.

Oh come on, you’re not unboyfriendable! “unboyfriendable” has been my title for a long time now on account of it being a lyric from a song that means a lot to me, “all my little words” by the magnetic fields. i promise i am very fuckable im just really into sad music sometimes

How do I refer to you? Actually, i don't get this question a lot, and I shouldn't, since this info is both in my pinned above and in my bio. But a lot of people still seem awful confused. I am male. FTM. I use He/Him pronouns and masculine terms with the exception of compliments like 'pretty' and all that. I am not nonbinary, and do not like to be referred to gender neutrally. I simply am a trans man who enjoys gender non conformity and cross-dressing.

Are you Bi or Gay? this world is full of beauty. im queer. take that how you will. I generally consider myself open to any gender as long as they’re trans, (i am strictly t4t.) but still identify pretty strongly with being a queer guy in the way that i do like other men.

What style are you wearing/where do you get your clothes? I started by wearing my personal version of the japanese fashion subculture Decora Kei. My decora became a bit messy and grungy, and while i do still identify as a decora boy and wear full coords from time to time, i consider myself now someone who enjoys colorful fashion and takes influence from 90s harajuku fashion, punk subcultures, drag and other campy fashion. I shop a variety of places, but a lot of my stuff is from Kei Collective or Candy Trap.

What is Twee/Do you Make Music? Twee is a music genre I developed a special interest in a few years back. It's a style of indie pop that originated after the UK rise of the famous c86 compilation tape in the late eighties, and was developed with a focus on low-fidelity, diy sound combined with upbeat, bubblegum-y pop sentiments and a naive, childlike outlook. It's both cute and somewhat rough around the edges. I do not make music, and don’t hold any musical skill. I’m just a major fan.

Do you take commissions? you may direct all art related questions to my art blog inbox, but for the time being, please just dm me for commission info. I take them on a case by case basis currently, im a full time student and have a lot on my plate. I’ll let you know my availability and pricing upon request, but i generally prefer the ‘you tell me your vision, i give you a quote and you tell me if that works for you’ model of pricing because each peice is considered its own thing in my mind. Pricing for ‘full body’ or ‘lineart’ doesnt work for me beacause the media and subject doesn’t really dictate how much time or effort a peice will take for me.

Can you boost/reblog this post for me? This is a tough answer, i know, but if we are not mutuals, or I do not know you, I cannot do that for you. My reasoning being that I have been baited by very similar asks in the past that turned out to be scams, and I do not want to take the risk of spreading misinformation or scams now that I have a much larger following. I do my best to spread stuff that ends up on my dash and/or I can factcheck, but if I do not have that, I will be wary, considering my past interactions.

Can we be friends/Can I DM you? Anyone is welcome to send me a message of any type at any time, unless I have those settings changed, in which case i likely have it off short term, because i experience fairly regular transphobic harassment and i find it the best way to protect myself. However, just understand that I am a stranger on the internet. I don't always want to continue every conversation, and I'm not online all the time. I have all push notifications for tumblr turned off, including asks and dms, because it's much better for my mental health to be able to opt out of tumblr the moment I close the app. So, if i don't respond, i'm probably just doing something else or didn't see your message. COLLEGE AU TIGHNARI ROOMMATE HCS

A/N: AUGGGHHHHH IM INSANE AGAIENEBWFWFWWGQ Missing tighnari hours oue so I will write out all the roomie hcs I have to share; per usual its self indulgent as hell

First Meeting:

- You’re a biology major or something similar and just visiting the college you’ll be attending

- You were definitely going to move into the dorms but you heard about and later witnessed some student running around like a maniac looking for a roommate

- You even got emails about it, found flyers on some of the pinboards around the school and even saw ads online (whether that be in some college gc app like zeemee or whatever)

- Eventually you did a bit of basic research on this guy by asking some of your friends or people who know him and you found out his name is Tighnari and he’s double majored in biology and botany

- You let him go on for a few days-a week before you realized he really wasn’t going to find a roommate this late in the game; feeling both pity and admiration for his dedication, you approached him with one of the flyers in your hand as the poor guy took a break from his ad campaign

- “Um… about this flyer…..”

- Tighnari’s ears immediately perked up oh you just made his week, no his month— maybe even his year

- “Yes? Are you interested in moving in? My previous roommate has begun living elsewhere” he explained.

- You’re hesitant, hoping you aren’t making a mistake but eventually steel yourself and figure you only live once right? Plus he could always help with your work! You give him a firm nod.

- Tighnari got a bit overexcited, asking way too many questions at once, “When can you move in? How will you be paying rent? Are you alright with plants? Right, by the way I’m Tighnari. I am a biology and botany major”

- “It’s nice to meet you! I’m (Y/n). I can move in soon and plants are fine! Uh …About rent! I’ll have to find a job but I do have some savings!” you confessed nervously.

- To tell the truth you weren’t planning on getting a job this early on, planning to get the hang of the new workload first but desperate times call for desperate measures (Cute guy in trouble 😤)

- Tighnari however, was unamused. His face completely dropped as if you’d just told him his entire family dropped dead, “You don’t have a source of income already…? Then why would you…. Sigh Nevermind. Its fine. This is fine. I’ll even help you job search”

- “Greeeaaatttt there goes my credit” he thought. And it showed on his face too.

- You just shoot him a silly smile and over the course of the days it took to move you into his apartment you establish some ground rules

Rules:

- He will do the cooking and he’ll cook for you if he’s cooking for himself (if he’s not cooking then you’re on your own)

- In return you do a majority of the cleaning although it’s still pretty split kinda like a 60/40 or 55/45 kind of deal

- You pay the water bill while he pays electricity (you take long showers and his plants and such sometimes require lamps + he just uses a lot of electricity I feel like it’s not usually for him but his plants and work)

- Visitors are pretty much always welcome but you have to let the other know beforehand

- Although the previous rule is true none of those kind of visitors are allowed. Tighnari has sensitive ears he don’t wanna hear that 😭😭

- Be cool and communicate if you have a problem

Apartment:

- SO MANY PLANTS. LIKE THEY ARE TAKING OVER THE APARTMENT . This is a big part of why Tighnari didn’t want to live in the dorms since he wouldn’t be able to have as many plants as he wanted

- It’s a little funny Cyno has really bad allergies so he never lived with him and Collei lived with him for a long time but moved out to move in with Amber (oue shes leaving the nest) (she’s in the apartment right below yours)

- You, as a biology major, on the other hand LOVE the amount of plants in the apartment and Tighnari is ecstatic because he was sooo worried you’d try to make him get rid of them or something; is even more glad that you like them as much as he does

- Also has a big tank of worms where he dumps all the leftovers neither of you eat. He then uses the compost as plant fertilizer

- Despite the amount of things in the apartment its very neat and organized; there are little notebooks next to every living thing to keep track of when and how to feed them

You and Him:

- He has a very old ass car but only uses it for emergencies because he’s not a fan of carbon emissions (usually goes places by public transport, walking or hitching rides) (its the little things that make a big difference ok)

- He works two jobs: One at a plant/flower shop and the other at the school library

- He sometimes brings home new plants because all the plants no one will buy are always given to him by management

- You work one or two jobs likely on campus maybe in the newspaper or the school cafe etc

- Either way whenever you get home tired or after just having a bad day he’d comfort you so much no matter how many days in a row you do the same thing, flopping on the couch and groaning

- When you first did it you two weren’t close but he still stroked your hair and offered you some words of praise but when you two became more comfortable he’d straight up hold you to his chest or let you lay on his lap while stroking your hair if you don’t mind

- ��I really need to stop coddling you” he’d say this all the time but never follow through on it and you’d be in his arms as we speak 😅

- He never did stop coddling you. Whenever you watch a show or anime he’s right beside you on the couch reading his book as he glances up every now and again; sometimes gives his two cents on what’s going on in the show (my personal fave is him getting mad at the usopp going merry arc in water 7 bye)

- He has little black rectangular reading glasses idc idgaf he dresses like an old man too with cardigans and sweater vests, maybe overalls if he’s going out to do garden work (he has no sense of fashion we know this)

- If you’re willing to listen he will yap so much about his plants and about wildlife; his heart melts in his chest if you seem genuinely interested and are paying close attention

- You have a snail named Saniel/Saniela. You almost stepped on him and brought him inside, putting him in a little terrarium thing.

- Tighnari hates that thing (he doesn’t; he’s like a grumpy father with a new dog) if it gets out it will eat his plants, so watch it. 😤

- Posts it on his little conservation account (shoutout to the person who wrote that post where he had a conservation insta acc i cant find it) and it overtakes the page gn its his worst nightmare. First it steals his unofficial lover now his followers

- Yall would’ve been burned at the stake in the 1800s you’re always doing your “projects” in the house unless its dangerous (but you’ll still do it outside) like you seeing a girl on Tiktok grow mushrooms on a book so you try it at home…

- He always helps you with anyyyyything. You need help studying for this biology test? So does he, come on in. You need a shoulder to cry on? He has two!! You want a snack but you don’t want to ask too much of him? Don’t be ridiculous he’s making you something as we speak

- He’s actually such a sweetheart he worries about your diet so much; honestly he’s content knowing that you’re under his care bc then he knows you’re eating right

- He wakes up and starts his day INSANELY early and honestly if you manage to wake up before him he’d probably flinch seeing you up LOL he’s so not used to anyone being awake when he is let alone earlier

- Absolute hypocrite too, he won’t let you sleep too late no matter what day it is or whether you have class or not but when he does it he’s just busy smh

- Wouldn’t mind if you treated him the same although if it’s time sensitive he fears he cannot give in to your demands sigh

- He’s a worrywart and a leeeetle nagging but you can tell he cares and you care about him just the same

- You’re always doing whatever you can to take stress off of his shoulders like running errands for him, cooking for him/ordering takeout when he can’t cook, Taking care of his plants for him when he’s busy, etc

- If you work out in the house after moving in then it’s so over for him

- He’s insane. If you’re in the living room he will go “read” his book on the couch but he’s been on the same page the whole time, is he ever gonna flip?

- Not even like explicit workouts like squats or something; just seeing you push yourself to your limit and sweaty and grunting and— where was he again? Ah right page 52.

- It’s so much worse if you ask him to help in some way, he can’t focus at all especially if you ask him to sit on your back while you do pushups

- Also a fan of you being taller than him no matter the method. (Which isn’t hard to achieve bc I hc him like 5’1-5’3) Naturally tall? Great! Wearing platforms? Amazing! Standing on a stool? As long as he doesn’t look down then it’s hot
