“I have done some terrible awful things. Yeah, maybe that is who I am and he knows, she knows” Loki paused for a moment, glancing at you “it’s the real me. A loser. Always have been, always will be” he continued.
“Loki” you interrupted to no avail.
“And perhaps I’ve been holding something back. Perhaps I’ve just been waiting for a moment like this, so I can do terrible awful things to you” he threatened, stepping closer to Brad who’s expression had contorted into fear.
“Loki, that’s enough” Mobius tried to intervene but he was in a trance.
“Loki” you spoke authoritatively, stepping between him and Brad, snapping him out of his stupor as his almost teary eyes met yours. “No” you mouth, urging him to back down.
Taking a deep grounding breath, Loki turned away before storming out of the room. You looked over at Mobius who shrugged his shoulders before you chased after Loki, calling his name but he didn’t respond, he just weaved his way through the other agents, continuing down the corridor.
“Loki, Loki!” You yelled, following him into a locker room as he spun around.
“WHAT?” He exclaimed.
“Talk to me” you implored.
“You want me to talk to you?” He questioned almost mockingly as he stepped towards you, caging you between himself and the locker behind you. You tried to keep your breaths even as the familiar scent of his cologne evaded your senses, exciting you. “Hmm? Is that what you want?” He continued, using his thumb and index finger to tilt your chin upwards, his eyes boaring into yours. “You want me to confide in you, tell you what’s going on in my head, what I’m thinking?” He listed as he lifted your skirt up a little, pushing one of his legs between yours and stealing your breath away as he began rubbing his thigh against your clothed pussy. Your head fell back against the locker, eyes closed as your panties dampened. You practically purred when he undid one of the buttons on your shirt and began kissing your neck. “What if I don’t want to talk?” He uttered against your lips before you pressed yours against his, kissing him deeply.
Lifting you, Loki pressed you back harder against the lockers with his hips as you wrapped your legs around his waist. Using one of his hands, he undid his belt, pulling his trousers low enough to free his hard cock as he pumped it a couple of times before running it through your slick folds and guiding himself to your entrance.
“Fuck Loki” you murmured in his ear as he entered you before pulling out a little and thrusting inside of you again. His movements were fast, almost desperate as you moaned against his ear. You could tell this wouldn’t take long for either of you.
“I’m the villain y/n” Loki confessed between thrusts as he grunted “in his story and in yours”
“No” you insisted, opening your eyes as you looked down into his, your hand against his cheek as he slowed this thrusts “you’re the God of Mischief, you’re my Loki” you affirmed “not a villain” you smiled, Loki’s expression changing into something that could only be described as fond.
Pecking your lips, Loki sped his thrusts again, fucking into you with ardour as the lockers behind you clanged against the wall, the sound of both of you moaning filling the room.
“I’m so closee” you mewled moments before your orgasm swarmed you leaving you shaking as Loki chased his own.
“Fuck” he cursed, stilling his movements as he pushed his hips against yours, filling you with his warm seed as he rode out his high.
Once you were both sated, Loki placed you back down onto shaky legs as he pulled his trousers back up, simultaneously pulling your skirt down as if he knew you were both about to be interrupted.
“Here you are, I’ve been searching everywhere for you both” Mobius spoke, entering the room as you fixed your hair.
“What?” Loki questioned as Mobius’s gaze flicked between you both suspiciously.
“No, nothing” he dismissed, noticing your shirt button undone.
“Let’s go then” Loki gestured, walking past Mobius and out of the room.

fluff is everything, therefore:
I've been entertaining this idea for a very long time. Loki is a heavily touch deprived boy who needs all the affection in the world.
Now I desperately need a small drabble, doesn't even have to be long, of reader just...taking care of him. Calling him "angel" and watching him lose his MIND because no one's ever called him that before?? Reader making him food and looking after him when he's sick and just.....a small drabble. A cute little thing of just....Loki being loved
Because we all know the man needs it.
Anyway, mwah, hope this helps the writing juices flow :)
I hope this is what you had in mind, my darling! I know it's not the best!

The dull clink of ceramic on wood makes you wince and freeze almost comically in place by the side of the bed. Barely daring to breathe, your worried eyes snap towards the god currently buried between tousled viridian bedsheets.
He doesn’t stir.
You release a slow, quiet breath, relieved that Loki is still sleeping so soundly, despite his earlier protestations that he was completely fine. He’s far from fine, that you’re certain of. You’ve watched how the summer cold he’s come down with has chipped away at him over the past few days, zapping his energy quicker and more thoroughly than he’ll ever admit. He refuses to let that mask of invincibility slip for even a second.
“Gods don’t get sick, darling,” he had said, though you could see the sluggishness that had crept into his usual elegant movements, along with the deep weariness that had settled in his eyes.
One hour later you found him sleeping like the dead.
He looks so utterly at peace that your heart swells with love for him, and with the familiar realisation that he’s yours. This beautiful man who has survived tortures your mind can’t even conceive of is yours. It’s something that almost has you weep. Out of all the people on this planet - of all the beings in the entire cosmos - it’s you that gets to love him, and you’ll never take that for granted.
It’s impossible to tear your eyes off him as he sleeps. Still a villain to most of the world, yet he’s curled on his side in your bed with tousled hair and pink stained cheeks. You can see the bedsheets shifting with the steady rise and fall of his chest, as well as the way his arm is stretched out towards your side of the bed, as though, even lost to his dreams, his body still searches for yours.
The man is your entire heart and more, and it’s moments like these you wish you could bottle.
Your hand floats to his face before you can help yourself. It’s warmer than usual and still smooth beneath your gentle touch that pushes a stray curl back behind his ear. You swear you hear his breathing shift, almost like he knows you’re there.
You never tire of this - watching him sleep. To have him sleep so soundly in your presence, to have him know with such unwavering certainty that you wouldn’t dream of hurting him, feels like a blessing from the gods.
He trusts you - completely and wholeheartedly - and it’s one of the greatest gifts he could ever give you.
His hair is silken beneath your touch and errant strands wrap loosely around your fingers as you bend down to kiss his temple. It’s barely more than a butterfly kiss, but you can’t help but let your lips linger briefly against his skin. You only wish it was enough to free him from the clutches of his cold.
The backs of your fingers brush softly over his cheek and you make to leave and let him rest, but you’ve barely pulled away when he grabs your wrist in a loose grip.
“Stay,” Loki says, his voice groggy and congested. “Please.”
His eyes are flickering open, but it’s clear that he’s still wading through sleep. He looks so vulnerable and exhausted and sick that suddenly any plans you had for the rest of the day are unimportant. You can’t deny this man anything.
Easily, you climb into the bed beside him, resting your back against the headboard and opening your arms to him. “Come here, my love,” you tell him gently.
He wastes no time in shifting beneath the sheets until his legs are tangled with yours and his head is resting heavily on your stomach. He grips you like he’s been starved of your touch, like you’re the one thing tying him to Earth. You can feel the unspoken plea in the way he’s holding you, the “please don’t leave me” that’s burning into your skin.
You hope he knows that wild horses couldn’t drag you away from him.
Wrapping an arm around his shoulders, you stretch down to kiss the top of his head and intertwine your fingers with his. His hand locks around yours greedily, as though he can’t get enough of your touch.
It’s fine with you, though, because you can never get enough of him.
You begin to stroke his hair, so softly that you’re barely even touching him, but you can still hear his soft sigh of contentment. “Feeling better?” you ask softly, running your thumb along his knuckles.
“No,” he croaks, attempting to twist himself tighter around you. “I fear this may be something worse than one of your silly Midgardian maladies.”
You can’t help but smile. Your drama queen of a god is still in there.  “Hmm, I think you might be right. I should probably let Tony know I’ll be out for the next few days to take care of you. I can’t risk my beautiful boy succumbing to a dangerous alien bug.”
Loki doesn’t move, but you can almost feel the smile that mirrors your own growing across his face. “You can’t,” he murmurs, his voice slightly muffled by how far he’s nuzzled into your stomach.
He lapses into silence and you take the opportunity to pull him closer. He’s solid in your arms - solid and alive and everything you never knew you were looking for. He’s your sun and your moon and all your stars, and you can’t imagine your life without him.
Wordlessly, you stretch to place another kiss to his head, not missing how he hums at your touch. “I adore you, you beautiful man. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
He pulls your hand to his lips to kiss your knuckles in reply. It’s so soft and so innocent that you’re struck again by how you would burn down worlds for him.
Not five minutes later, his breathing turns even and heavy. He’s fast asleep, head still resting on your stomach and hand still gripping yours.

Loki x wife!Reader Headcanons [throughout the MCU]
Tumblr media
Thor1 Loki: He's so soft soft baby TM and caring and always so sweet to you, in private or in public. Love is overflowing! Always kissing you and spoiling you. Not handsy but is always hand holding, or wraps arm around your waist. 2x Verbal Admiration than when he courted you. Favorite thing in the world is your blush and your laugh. You make him melt and he worships the ground you walk on. Gifts, LOTS of gifts.
"i don't deserve you, y/n."  "If You don't deserve me, no one else does."
💕How is the love-making?: Soft and Full of emotion! Worships your body; worships You. He'll make you understand why it's called love-making. Frequent eye contact because he loves getting lost in your eyes. Asgard who? (Odin has to forbid you from seeing Loki at work hours because it distracts him😂)
Tumblr media
Avengers1 Loki: won't even look you in the eye, ignores your presence like his heritage. When you do manage to get a word with him, he'll Loki-talk you (i.e. vague words with ambiguous meanings that can be interpreted any way) into thinking he's been cheating on you (LIES). Not even a decent answer. Refuses to give you anything but his ire.
"You still think me a lovesick puppy, girl?"  "My husband is a God who's just deeply devoted to his wife! Who are you and what have you done to him!?"  "Tut tut, my darling Lorelei -oh wait, that's not Your name." *smirks evilly and vanishes*
💕Um.. love-making..?: most probably not, he's busy being Villain TM. But if you do manage to, he'll end up leaving you unsatisfied or humiliated, tossing you away like a rag doll -anything to make you think he's a bad guy (He's not. But you have to, otherwise The Other might hurt you too.)
Tumblr media
TDW Loki: he'd still keep up the A1 facade and if you still want him, he'll be mean and act borderline disrespectful, claiming it's your duty as his wife. But in reality, he only wants to hurt you because spending the rest of his life locked up will be easier with you hating him. Looks at you longingly from his cell with an inexplicable sadness in his eyes, but will aboslutely deny it.
"I know you wouldn't invade Midgard simply for power. I know you are above that, Loki."  "It is 'my Prince' to you. And, I'd rather you stick to your duties as just my wife."
💕Smut?: Sure, if you hide it from Odin's knowledge. Lots of degradation, though. You can see the apology on his face, feel the desperation on his touch and hear the veiled sadness is his piercing words. His body language is begging you to stay, yearning for you and hoping you'd understand. Once it's over, he won't even look at your eyes knowing if he does, he can't be mean to you. What hurts him should make him stronger.
Tumblr media
TR Loki: After he shockingly discovered his mysterious survival, he ran back to the palace in search of you. But got to Odin first and.. y'know. He's successfully avoided any romance with you thanks to his disguise, but yearning is on the double when he sees the depth of your devotion.
"All-Father, I wish to petition a statue on my... late husband's behalf. Of him, of what he's done for Asgard."  "He's a traitor and a convict."  "Who gave his life in atonement. It was a misguided atte-"  "Misguided!? Is that what you call acting against the Hlidskjalf? He invaded Midgard and took innocent lives!"  "And paid for it with his own. I beg your reconsideration, All-Father."  *After a long, scrutinizing pause* "The council will decide." "T-thank you, All-Father."  *Loki as Odin looks at you bow and retreat, sadness in his eyes* 'Oh, my love, how do you still love me after all I've done to you?'
Tumblr media
After evading death by planetary destruction and back in the Statesman hale, healthy and alive, he makes up for earlier. You refuse to accept, still feeling bitter, but Loki has his ways ;)
💕How so? 👀: As I said, making up. For dayyyys. Lots of apologizing, lots of begging and even the occasional spanking. Many, many rounds even. Thor is quite concerned. Wait, why is Loki carrying you everywhere, can't you wal- OH.
Tumblr media
IW Loki: If you thought you knew how much he loves you (in Thor1), oh baby, you're about to be proven wrong. F*cking killed Thanos in, like, 2 seconds max. All it took was Big Ugly Grape-head to see you and give a creepy smile, the next minute he's lying headless on the ground, his army dissipating into dust.
"The tesseract or yo-" *gets decapitated by Loki*
❓And the love-making?: .... uh, doubtful.. Thor is busy choking your husband about why the f*ck he didn't say anything of having the tesseract. (Seriously, Thor, how else did you think he survived a planetary level destruction!? *exasperated sigh*)
And you lived happily ever after <3
The end. 💚

Out of My System Pt. 1
Summary: Loki doesn’t understand Thor’s attraction to Midgardians. Until he meets you.
Pairing: Avenger Loki x F. Avenger Reader
Warnings: Eventual smut.
W/C: 1K
See my Masterlist here
You were sitting beside Loki just like you did every movie night, a large bowl of popcorn perched in his lap for sharing. You jumped and screamed so loud, when the monster grabbed the woman on the screen that it even startled Loki, who almost dropped the snack in the floor.
You reached for his hand, entwining your fingers with his long skinny digits. He stayed still for just a moment unsure of how to react to your touch. You felt him relax against you, accepting the affection. Each time, a scary part came on you would hide your face against his arm. He began to anticipate it. He wrapped his arm around you snuggling you closer. Now you could press your face against his broad chest.
You laid your ear against him, listening to the rhythmic sound of his heart beating. You had only been this close to the mischievous god while training. Otherwise, your friendship never crossed any unspoken boundaries. You were surprised how he had welcomed your touch. He wasn’t huge on affection, shying away from hugs, shoulder pats, even handshakes which surprised you. He only shook the hand of business men Stark needed him to schmooze, and only when necessary.
The movie was over too soon. The loss of warmth his body provided made you shiver as you walked to your room. Hurrying to your bed, your mind ran wild with thoughts of the creature from that horrible movie waiting for you underneath, grabbing your feet as you walked by and dragging you under there with it. You got under the blankets covering up every inch of skin. You were an Avenger for crying out loud. You had fought villains way scarier than the monster in the movie.
Still you couldn’t help the thoughts of it waiting to get you as soon as you peaked out from under the blanket. You heard the floor creak and you swear you stopped breathing for a second. Relax! It’s probably somebody walking in the hall. You squeeze your eyes shut willing yourself to fall asleep.
You convince yourself you feel someone staring at you. You give yourself a little pep talk slinging the heavy blanket off your face and retrieving your phone off your nightstand. You get back in your cocoon. You pull up the contact on your phone praying he answers.
“H..hello?” his groggy voice comes over the line and you’ve never been more grateful to hear anyone. “Loki, I need you to come to my room right now.” your voice barely comes out as a whisper. You are trying to stay quite just in case that creature can hear you.
“Darling, it’s three in the morning. I can barely hear you. This is not a good prank.” Click. He ended the call before you could ask for help. You dial his number again. He answers on the third ring. You decide you better make this call count so you start frantically yelling into your phone. “Loki, please don’t hang up! I know it’s three AM, but it’s the witching hour! That means this thing is gonna be that much stronger!! I need you to get in here right now before it kills me!”
You hear your door fling open. You stick your head out from your fortress. Loki is standing in your room, daggers in hand assessing the situation. “Where is it?” he growls. You can’t help the giggles erupting. He looks at you, confusion clearly eating him up.
“Promise you won’t be mad?” “I will make no such promise. Tell me what is so funny about your life being in danger.” You take a deep breath trying to suppress your laughter. “I kept thinking about that movie and I freaked myself out. I convinced myself it was in here with me. So there’s no real danger.”
Loki sighs heavily, running his hands through his slept on curls. He sets his daggers on your nightstand. “You said it was going to kill you.” “Sorry, I was being dramatic. I just didn’t want to be alone because I was scared. I didn’t expect you to burst in here like that. But since you’re here, do you mind staying with me? I know I’m safe with you here.” Loki agrees walking toward your couch.
“Can you sleep in the bed with me, please? I really freaked myself out and I just need to know that you’re right here if I need you.” He gets in beside you, and every fear fades into the darkness as you press your back against his chest. His arm rests against your stomach.
Loki planned to leave right after you fell asleep. He was sure he wouldn’t rest well, if at all. So he was surprised when the sun light peaked through your window and woke him the next morning. He was shocked to find your warm body still snuggled in so closely to his. He had only wrapped his arms around you to comfort you. He didn’t think he would be so reluctant to remove them.
He took the time to study your features. How your hair was a tangled mess even though it seemed like you hadn’t moved at all through the night. How the sun light made your face look almost angelic. He took note of how comfortable he was beside you. And that terrified him. That thought alone was enough motivation for him to go back to his own rooms.
Loki was sure he would never share Thor’s love for Midgardians. He didn’t understand his attraction to them. After Thor and Jane broke up, Thor had successfully seduced every woman he came across. It made Loki sick. He and his brother were gods. Midgardians were beneath them.
Loki waited until their trips to Asgard to sleep around. Those so called models paled in comparison to the goddesses back home. He had never thought highly of any person from Earth, until you.
You stumbled into his life and turned it upside down. You weren’t repulsive. You were beautiful. You weren’t ignorant, but intelligent. You were kind to him, when the rest of the pathetic planet either feared him or hated him. Loki had quickly offered you something he didn’t give lightly to any other person on Earth - his companionship.

Here’s my take on Lokius, because I’m seeing a lot of posts with people saying they just see friendship there.
You’re pointing out a key ingredient in a good love story: it is a friendship at it’s core. As my girl Scully once said on The X Files, “Well, it seems to me that the best relationships - the ones that last - are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is... suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with.”
A real love story is about connection, trust, reliability, communication, bringing out the best in the other person. And Loki and Mobius tick every one of those boxes off. Also, the chemistry is off the charts, so that definitely helps.
When I look back on Loki’s history, on his relationships (and he’s probably the only character in Marvel that I’ve cared about through the whole MCU run), he’s never had someone who is capable of keeping a cool head around him, of consistently not falling for his tricks, who’s seen his entire life and has compassion for him, who not only doesn’t see him as a villain but actually sees the best he’s capable of. Who is capable of actually building trust with Loki - TRUST! Loki actually trusting someone and being trustworthy back! Someone who can calm Loki down with a touch (a lot of touching, actually. Wow) and a few words. Who is willing to put his own life on the line because he believes in Loki. To sum up, Mobius is everything that Loki needs in a partner. And Loki, in return, brings the spark, the push to find the truth, the desire to actually live, to Mobius.
Even going back to a comment I made a few days ago: On Our Flag Means Death, Stede asks Mary what it feels like to be in love and she says, “It's just like breathing. He understands my idiosyncrasies. We expose each other to new things, new ideas. And we laugh a lot. We just pass the time so well. I'd call those things love.” I see all of that in their relationship.
So… yeah…. I very much doubt Marvel will make them canon, but I really don’t care. There’s a beautiful love story there, no matter what.

Reparenting Loki
Tumblr media
I want to talk about a dynamic in the Loki/Mobius relationship (in the Loki TV-series) that I've seen touched on but not really discussed in depth.
Note to Lokius-lovers: nothing I say here in any way precludes a healthy romantic relationship. They're both consenting adults, after all, and this wasn't a formal therapist-client relationship.
There's a technique in therapy called "reparenting". The idea is that trauma and behaviors caused by bad parenting can be addressed to some extent if the therapist assumes the role of a "good parent".
I think we can all agree that the "All-Father" was crap as an actual father. Odin knew that Loki took after him even more than Thor did, but many of those shared traits were things that he tried to hide from everyone, while Thor better represented the image he wanted to project. The result was a cruel favoritism, which was picked up by Thor and the rest of the Asgardians. Frigga's love and support wasn't enough to counteract that cruelty, particularly in a strongly patriarchal society like Asgard.
Side note (because I'm that kind of geek): there were so many similarities between Odin and Loki (Odin's friend and blood-brother rather than his son) in the old Norse myths that some scholars have suggested that Loki was at one point simply an aspect of Odin. There's also evidence that the stories as they came down to us were manipulated by the Christians who committed them to writing to shoehorn Loki into something more like the Christian Devil.
Anyway, getting back to our guys... Within the context of the TVA, Mobius represented an authority figure to Loki, who had a long history of rebelling against (or betraying) authority for obvious reasons.
I think the first turning point in the relationship for Loki was:
Loki: I am smart!
Mobius: I know. Loki is rarely left speechless, but his only response to Mobius's simple affirmation was a very un-Loki-like "Okay..." He didn't know how to respond because he wasn't used to that kind of thing, particularly from someone who had power over him. It happened again with:
Loki: A villain.
Mobius: That's not how I see it.
The dynamic between these two people throughout Season 1 was like that. Mobius's genuine love (whether you read it as romantic, platonic, fatherly, brotherly, or a mix of any or all of these) for and non-judgmental acceptance of Loki was apparent from the start, but of course Loki's experiences during his very long lifetime made it nearly impossible for him to trust that until Mobius's actions convinced him that it was real. Learning to trust Mobius also allowed Loki to see himself in a new light.
For his part, Mobius consistently modeled what a good father would have been: loving and accepting, yes, but still able to apply "tough love" when that was warranted. Mobius didn't put Loki into the bad-memory loop to punish him because he was angry (though he was angry, or at least a bit hurt and disappointed). He was just trying to force Loki to acknowledge a truth about himself so that they could move forward — and it worked!
Mobius's instincts and experience as an actual father to two boys, one reasonably well-behaved and the other a mischievous troublemaker, served him well in this, even if he didn't consciously remember his life on the timeline.
Mobius all but confirmed this when he said:
Mobius:  I see a scared little boy, shivering in the cold...
It's also significant that when Loki brought this up later, he called it "patronizing", which we usually use to mean "condescending", but can also mean "supporting" and has its root in the Latin word "pater" (father).
I see the hug in episode 1-5 as a sign that the reparenting had taken hold, and that Loki, while not completely healed (it would take a lot more than that!), was at least in a place where he could trust someone, accept love/friendship, and think beyond his own wants and needs.
By Season 2, the relationship between the two men was evolving into one of equals, but even then Loki still occasionally looked to Mobius for guidance. Mobius's approval had become important to him. When Loki witnessed the firm but compassionate way in which Don dealt with two boys who were so like himself and Thor (despite being a stressed-out single dad rather than a god-king with tremendous resources at his disposal), he had to have seen that this was at the core of who Mobius was. Moreover, Loki — and any viewers who had similarly survived a traumatic childhood full of emotional abuse and neglect — probably guessed that Don himself was a survivor who was determined to see to it that his boys would never have to deal with that. If that was the case, then Mobius didn't just see his own son in Loki. He saw himself and couldn't help but empathize.
Don wasn't perfect. His frustration with his younger son was very evident, but Loki, observing, could see the love that lay under it. He may even have thought of times when Odin was driven to anger by Loki's actions and realized that the anger didn't necessarily mean that Odin didn't really love him. Learning to forgive what can be forgiven is another aspect of recovering from childhood trauma.
It's worth remembering that Mobius knew Loki in much the same way we do. We got to see the things that Loki never let anybody see: the fear, the vulnerability, the pain, the longing, and the sadness. (Doesn't hurt that TH can turn a simple reaction shot into a freakin' soliloquy!) The difference is that, while we only get to see the highlights (and lowlights) of Loki's life, Mobius had access to all of it and he had centuries to study it.
Mobius literally knew Loki better than anyone else in (or out) of the multiverse. How could he not love him? And for Loki, knowing that somebody who knew him that well genuinely cared so much for him (same with Sylvie, who understood him in ways that only another Loki could and vice-versa) had to have shaken him to his core and made him rethink a lot of things. The fact that it was Mobius to whom Loki turned in episode 2.6 when he thought he might have to kill Sylvie shows how much he still looked up to Mobius in many ways.
This was a show about redemption, yes, but also about healing from childhood trauma. They did an amazing job with it.

I’m not super into the Marvel fandom with the exception of Loki but I just finished watching Echo, and can I just say that I LOVE that although Maya COULD have killed Fisk in the finale like she’d initially wanted to—especially with her newfound powers—she chose to offer him healing instead…even after all he had done to her and her family. She called him “Uncle” to his face one last time and used her gift to empathize with him and tried to help him let go of the rage and hatred he’d held onto since childhood that made him the villain he became. Whether or not he will ever choose to embrace it, she gave him a chance. THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is how you use power.

The conversation Loki had with O.B. first concluded in Loki finding his "why" in order to control the time slipping. And, once he knew that and realized he needs everyone's temporal aura, where does he timeslip to? Back to Mobius. That's a sweet detail, and, similar to episode 1, reveals Loki's trust for this character. Even when Mobius doesn't remember him, Loki still believes in him. And in everything he was told back at the TVA, including the way he describe a jet-ski: "a beautiful union of form and function". Another detail that melted my fool heart was the way Loki laughed after Mobius's (or Don's, but I'm not calling him that) words: "Or did you follow me home?". They are precious.
Tumblr media
"You saw something in me that I hadn't seen in myself". That says so much. It reminisces all those times in season 1 when Mobius was by Loki's side:
"A villain" "That's not how I see it".
"You can be whatever, whoever you wanna be. Even someone good. I mean just in case anyone ever told you different".
And we can see Loki learning how to trust, how to care. For his character, this is great development. He's not the same Loki that invaded New York blinded by pain and revenge. He's returning to himself and by doing so, he's returning to what truly matters to him. His friends, his found family. All those timelines he feels burdened to protect.
"It's not about when, where, or why. It's about who." EXACTLY. The other variables are unimportant if they're not in the hands of the right person. And, after the heartbreaking moments in which Loki is the only one left standing after everything falls apart in front of him, I think he understands that. To quote Tom Hiddleston himself: "He learns what heroicism really looks like." And this "who" goes both ways: who rewrites the story, and FOR WHO this is done.
Tumblr media
"I can rewrite the story."
That line is epic! It shows the power he always had and can finally access. It puts the concept of free will in another light: it's THE story, not MY story. Also, how far back can this go? At the end of the episode, we see Loki back with O.B back when the Loom was stable. That's the point he chose, for everyone else, not only for himself. At this point, he could have gone back to Asgard, back to New York. Win it all, be king. But that's not his glorious purpose anymore. He's finally seeing what Mobius saw in him, even Thor, some time ago ("Loki, I thought the world of you."). And there was a lot of talk about stories, writing and rewriting them. That's sooo similar to the comic where Loki becomes the God of Stories!! Like, this is actually happening!
"They didn't get a choice in this".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think this is an extremely interesting conversation he had with Sylvie, in which you can see both of their points, none entirely right. For Sylvie, free will is something left untouched. No intervention, ever, just moments and paths in a disarray only the one who takes them can know them truly. For Loki, it's more of a choice. Yes, we take our own path, but sometimes we're given a choice. There is no bad or right in this game, only choices. By giving everyone a glance at the TVA, Loki realises that. What if they want that life instead of the one they already have? They wouldn't know, if not given the choice.
"I want my friends back. I don't wanna be alone"
Tumblr media
Okay, that hurt. In the time cell in episode 1, we remember Sif repeating the same thing over and over again to Loki "I hope you know that you are meant to be alone and you always will be." This says a lot about Loki's fears, and being alone is one of his biggest. But that's the thing, he found these people, he's not alone anymore! So of course it is extremely hard for him to just...give this up? It's not the first time he faces Casey and Mobius (Don?) not knowing him. His reaction "Not again" shows how scary this is, and we can obviously deduce that from the first episode. Not only everything is at risk of just disappearing into a void after the Loom explosion, when they are still there, still living, they don't remember him. Yet Loki finds a way to steady himself, and find everyone in all this mess.
But also, I don't think that wanting your friends back is something selfish, as Sylvie said. After going through different views over the same thing: "I want to stop He Who Remains" to "I want the TVA back" to finally Loki admiting that he wants his friends back, this is a matter that concerns many people, not just one. Besides, he did say that after all of it is done, they can return to their timelines as they never left. That doesn't sound really selfish to me. In fact, it reminds me of something Vision said to Wanda a whole ago: "What is grief, if not love persevering?". Then not wanting to be alone is a lack, a void persevering and waiting to be filled. And if that implies saving the Multiverse as well, then so be it (but that is definitely NOT the only reason Loki does all of this. He wants, and now can, rewrite the story for the better. For everyone, not only for himself.)
As of episode 5: Science/Fiction Loki is one of the most powerful beings in the entire MCU. Being able to travel back at any given point in time and space just by willing it into existence isn't a small thing. This, I believe, is something we deserve to see Loki in control of. Maybe it sounds a little too much to say that the whole fate of Marvel is in his hands now, but...it kinda is, isn't it? If not for Loki, we'd face the same disappearance as in Infinity War, only 100% now, not only 50.
I have been waiting and theorising for a long time that Loki will become the God of Stories. The fact that we might see it in less than a week is...something.
Also judging by the posters (which show different outfits from different times) there's a new suit we'll see him in on screen, and I can't wait!
Thanks for reading <3

The fact that takes like this are still being spewed 7 years after Civil War maddens me.
OMG where do I even start... You know, maybe this is the result of the MCU not knowing where they stand in regards to heroism. In the past we used to watch superhero movies that were very clear on defending the heroes and keeping the villains accountable, but for some reason the MCU seems to enjoy questioning their heroes and framing them in a negative light while justifying the bad guys - so I'm not surprised to read these takes.
OP says "Hydra didn't hide themselves after the reveal". Uh, yes, they did, actually. And with good reason. If you have been infiltrating an American intelligence agency for decades and you're finally outed, why exactly would anyone go out there and happily advertise they're Hydra? That... makes no sense.
I honestly have no interest in talking about "Did Wanda and Pietro know or not?". I'll just leave this here.
In the same comment OP shows his anger at Wanda for not facing any consequences for her actions, he defends Stark "not selling more weapons" as enough accountability for his. So he can spend his whole life willfully ignorant of where his wealth is coming from, he only decides to stop selling when those weapons kill Americans (he didn't give a fuck if they hurt other people), he can literally tell the government to suck it when they request his tech (which I'm okay with, but damn, nice display of hypocrisy right there when these stans claim the heroes are awful for not signing the Accords in CW)... and all this shit is enough for Stark to be off the hook?
They want Wanda, sometimes even Steve, to be jailed and punished but when it comes to Stark, if he pouts for a while they call it a day and that's enough accountability for him 🤦‍♀️
OP's line about Edith is even worse: "Edith is designed as a planetary defense system." I always think of Zola's line in TWS whenever I read a take like that one: "HYDRA created a world so chaotic that humanity is finally ready to sacrifice its freedom to gain its security."
More control doesn't equate more safety, it tends to cause the opposite thing, actually. But of course NWH never addressed the morality of this device so many fans think its existence okay. If they had handled it like Nolan did their ideas would be different. Edith is another Project Insight and Stark was still defending this "control is safety" years after CW 👇
Tumblr media
That's Hydra rhetoric. I couldn't care less if it's a so-called "hero" saying it, that line could be said by Zola or Red Skull or Rumlow, that's how messed up it is. But all of a sudden it's Stark saying it and that makes it okay?
OP: "Steve Rogers [...] solves problems by punching things [...] He has no fucking idea how to handle a situation involving a bioweapon or a terrorist." Tell me you don't understand Steve's character without telling me you don't understand him. This stan is one of those who thinks Steve is just a buff guy with no brains who can only punch his way out of things, which is hilarious because he has been shown to be the exact opposite of that.
A guy who figured out how to take that flag from Camp Lehigh, who could easily tell he was being deceived after being defrosted when that Shield woman approached him in the med bay, who figured out Loki's sceptre worked like a Hydra weapon (linking the space and mind stones & how they worked), who knows military regulations well enough to know where a building is built in the wrong place, who can figure out he's going to be attacked in an elevator after only a few seconds...
Sure, he only knows how to punch things 🙄

I forgot if I've already asked you this question, but who is your number one favorite Fictional Antagonist from Media? Rules are as follows; feel free to ignore:
If you want to choose a recurring villain like Bowser or The Joker, you have to choose a particular incarnation of this character. Like Alan Moore's Joker or Paper Mario 64's Bowser.
Specific Characters/Entities Only. You can't say, "Haunted Houses that aren't haunted by, like, a single ghost or anything in particular" like my mom wanted to. She settled firmly on "The Overlook Hotel" and she's a stronger person for it.
Villainous Duos like Boris & Natasha are accepted.
People have a hard time picking a #1, so you're allowed to list as many runner-ups as you like. Listen to your heart.
Protagonists who are their own worst enemies don't count!
Villainous characters who are protagonists in their story are very begrudgingly accepted. Whether or not George Costanza (A Villainous Protagonist) or Detective Columbo (A Heroic Antagonist) count is beyond the scope of this paper.
Thank you for your time!
hmmmm!! that's a really interesting question to chew on actually.
i'm not usually drawn to villains or villain-driven stories, outside of games that necessitate it as a gameplay mechanic or genre staple a la mario games or your standard JRPGs. and i wouldn't call a glorified game mechanic a character if they really don't do much besides throw barrels at the player to jump over. porky and giygas are exceptions but honestly not much; they aren't very complicated characters, even though they're snappily written, and most of where they shine is just the fact that they're one well-placed load-bearing piece in a larger cohesive narrative. they don't really capture my attention outside of their gameplay role.
i'm overall much more compelled by Romantic with a capital R stories about internal, oftentimes more abstracted struggles. i mean, i don't have to tell you that my favorite books EVER are "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and "The Great Gatsby," both of which play with deuteragonists as foils to the narrator that inevitably spiral and leave the reader with something of a thought exercise regarding the intersection of nature versus nurture, intent versus action, past versus future, et cetera. the characters themselves are symbolic of sociological concepts so much larger than themselves, and because of that, they can't truly be classified into "hero" or "villian", because the topics those books grapple with are so incredibly messy and morally-fuzzy that the characters who exemplify them must reflect that same complexity and nuance.
as soon as a story starts to veer towards "all our problems are caused by One Guy who we can remove from the equation forever," it usually loses me, or if nothing else it just makes me zone out when the villain and his evil army of doom is on screen until we're back to introspective character-building moments between the protags, deuterags, etc. i'm the boring guy who likes slow, dialogue-driven things more than flashy show tunes.
ALL THAT BEING SAID......
villains really only shine (for me) if they're funny as fuck. that's the one way they can really get my attention as a character that has, by definition, been written into a unilaterally negative role that must be booed. they get to be FUNNY! and they get to be my favorite kind of funny: insane slapstick funny. i like seeing cartoony villains get absolutely pulverized, thrown around like wet dishrags, set on fire, flung off cliffs, you name it. the zanier the better. so here's my own elite 4 in ascending order:
fourth is 2012 avengers movie Loki. very hammy, very showy, extremely puncheable face, and he takes SO much physical punishment and writhes like a worm the whole time. super fun.
third is pokemon's Archie. emerald is my favorite game but archie SHINES in alpha sapphire. he's such a huge personality and he takes hits with a smile. and then he gets a big fuzzy redemption at the end because this is a game for kids, but even that is so over-the-top cornball that i just laugh and smile the whole time instead of rolling my eyes. a good wholesome time was had by all.
second is Mr. Burns in the simpsons. let me preface this by saying i really don't watch anything after, ehhhh, i'd say season 8 or 9, because that's about where my box sets ended growing up. any episode where Mr. Burns gets some slapstick gags about his incredibly frail body that runs on pure evil is a good episode. i especially love "the springfield files," "homer the smithers," "homer at the bat," and "who shot mr burns" parts 1 and 2.
and my favorite is undoubtedly Sheldon J. Plankton. similar situation as simpsons; i don't watch anything after seasons 1-3 and the first movie. he commands every single scene he's in, which is especially impressive given that he's literally just a single tiny copepod. he's got the best villain laugh EVER. he's even a delight in the game "battle for bikini bottom"... you GOTTA check out BFBB Rehydrated if you like the spirit and snark of the early seasons. i love him in "walking small," "F.U.N.," "the algae's always greener," and of course, the movie. he's evil! he's diabolical!! he's LEMON SCENTED!!!!

Which Lokius moments were your favorite from S1? Out of curiosity.
oh wow can I just say every single moment shared between them? Haha
in all seriousness here are a few
When Mobius tells Loki "that’s not how I see it" after Loki calling himself a villain. Mobius showing Loki right from the start that he knows everything he has done, and still doesn’t see him as a bad person. He accepts him for who he is.
the tie scene! Mobius being exasperated with Loki, and Loki being so shamelessly flirty is just *chefs kiss*
the "you can be whoever, whatever you want to be. Even someone good" it speaks for itself really. Such a defining moment for both of them.
the pruning scene, pure angst . The way Mobius steps forward to protect Loki, the shuddering breath before he speaks. And then Lokis utter devastation after he loses Mobius.
the hug! That was everything 😭🙏🏻
pompeii scene was so sweet, seeing the forces of order and chaos in full swing.
the salad scene. Particularly when Mobius finally cracks and laughs. They are just so cute.
okay I’m trying not to just say every single scene lmao

(I really don't know how it ends Sorry if it's long)
Hi darling! sorry this took me forever to write. I hope you like it though! And thanks to @springdandelixn for helping me with writing this! Love you bubba!🩵
Where the journey takes us
You've been stuck in the hell hole for a year, perhaps more, but you've lost track of the days. After assisting Loki in the Battle of New York, you were imprisoned with him in Asgard.
The guards would come early every morning before the sun rose, checking every cell and giving each one the most unpleasant-looking meal. After that, they wouldn’t return to do their nightly checks until the evening when darkness came. To say your days were boring was an understatement. Hell, you shouldn't even be here.
After having aided Loki, you had snuck off to the spot your father had told you to meet him at. Yet your father never arrived. Typical of him since you were never his "legacy child".  The only reason you were in New York was solely for him. He wanted you to prove how far you would go to help him and his empire.
So you set out that faithful day to prove your allegiance, yet you couldn't fulfill your goal as the alien portal opened in the sky, causing terror to inflict in the city. This causes you to join the fight with a man named Loki. With the sole sentiment that this would make your father finally proud of you.
By the end, you lost, and the mighty Avengers won. They were deciding what to do with the both of you. The oaf, as you grew to call him Thor, suggested you'd better be suited to stay in Asgard as you helped Loki in the battle.
You cursed them all, declaring that you’ll get your revenge, Yet Tony Stark made a remark “ With your bulky figure and your daddy's reputation, I doubt you'll get far” This set your blood boiling and almost broke the restraints that held your hands together.
Loki was no better in your travels to Asgard. He hardly spoke to you after the battle and never once showed an ounce of appreciation. After you were sentenced by Odin, you knew you'd never see freedom again.
However, Loki somehow managed to slowly be more vocal toward you. He figured he might as well try to talk to you as you both were stuck here.  You did not make it easy on him, though. You always had a snarky remark to say. He’d get annoyed with your antics yet provoke you simultaneously.
Not to mention your cell just happened to be right next to Loki’s. It made it all the easier to piss the other one off.
On rare occasions, when you two were not in a bickering match,  he'd sometimes sit next to the wall that divided your cells and cast his illusion into yours.  He showed little tricks he could do, but like how all your other bickering started, he would say a snarky remark which then made the two of you go at it again with arguing.
Tumblr media
The day the Dark Elves attacked Asgard was the day Frigga died protecting Thor's lover. You remember hearing Loki disagree with her earlier in the day. You were not sure what it was about but the way his tone was when yelling was one that you had never heard him use before. This one was a tone that was filled with hurt and pain.
A week had passed and you had yet to hear from him. You knew he was still in his cell as you could hear him trying to silence his pain. You felt his rage as he threw his things around hitting the walls.  You finally broke the silence one night.
"Loki" you yelled into the air as if he would appear, you were not sure why you even wanted to talk to him yet you felt like you needed to. A few minutes passed by before his illusion appeared. "What!" he roared with pure annoyance. You rolled your eyes at his antics.  " Read to me" he looked confused upon your request. " Is this why you disturb my peace, to read to a quim like you!" he got even more annoyed.
You only asked him to read because he had let it slip in the past that he loves to read when his emotions get too much for him. With him losing his mother you thought maybe him reading to you would help him with the grief and loss.  After a few more minutes of arguing back in forth, he caved in.
That night was how your bond if you call it, began to grow. Soon after that, your bickering and arguments began to die down and turned into civil conversations. On the days he needed to escape, He would read to you for what felt like hours with one of the numerous books his mother had given him to pass the time. Those days were the ones you grew to enjoy. His voice was angelic when he read one of his dearest books. His face was ever so stunning, eyes captivating. You'd forget it was an illusion.
You'd sit and listen, you would also confess to him about your father, and he'd listen. Exceptionally rarely would he talk about Odin. Though he fondly told you about Frigga many times, which you loved, she sounded like the mother you wished you had.
During this time, you both fell for one another and spent hours on end talking, laughing, and even crying to each other. Some of the other prisoners had told you to shut up most nights. Neither of you listened to their demand.
It wasn't until one day, Thor came up with a proposition for you both. You'd both accompany him to Earth to fight and if neither of you played tricks and tried not to escape, you were granted freedom.
You both immediately agreed because the two of you had nothing else to lose, and you had the chance to just be free. That night during one of your late-night chats Loki made you realize something about yourself.  You had always lived in your father's shadow wanting to be just like him. Always trying to prove something as if you were just like him, when in fact you were not like him.
You didn't commit crimes like him nor treat people as he did. The truth was you played a facade afraid of what he would think if you did not follow in his lead.  As soon as you return to earth you would finally live your life the way you wanted to, not in your father’s shadow or living up to expectations.
So the battle came, fighting Thanos was an exhausting and powerful struggle. Everyone fought with everything they had, tooth and nail by the end of it, victory was made.  You knew this was not the end, though, for once again, you met the Avengers in the aftermath, and they kept their guard up as they remembered their last interaction with you.
Although you did fight with them, they didn't know if your intentions were the same as your last interaction with them. Sure enough, when the smoke cleared, you had a civil conversation with them and reassured them you'd changed and did not want to cause any harm. You somewhat cleared things up with Tony and in return, he offered you a makeshift bedroom in the Stark Tower for the time being.
Tumblr media
As you lay down to rest, you couldn't help but have your mind wonder about what you wanted to do next. You've gone through quite a lot and hadn't the time to really process anything.  Your thoughts were interrupted when a knock on your door brought you out of your head. You did not expect anybody to be visiting you at this hour or at all.
As you walked to the door you felt a little on edge as you reached for the handle. When you opened the door to your surprise, there stood Loki. You could tell something was troubling him, and hesitantly you opened the door wider, inviting him in.  Silence quickly unfolded over the two of you.
You were about to ask what he needed when all of a sudden, his hand came up and cupped your face. You locked your gaze with his. He briefly looked down at your lips before he leaned down and kissed you.
His lips were soft as they kissed you, but panic set in, and you pushed him away. “What the hell!” you took a step back to create distance between you two. “What was that, Loki?”
“I believe it's called a kiss, darling” he smirked, seeing how the pet name made your cheeks tint a light pink.
“No shit, it was a kiss, but why?” you crossed your arms.
“I know you’re quite stubborn, but I didn't think you were unaware” he walked closer to you and saw the confusion written on your face.  “I love you, y/n”, he confessed. Your heart felt like it was going to jump out of your chest at the way it was beating at his confession.
Your mouth opened and words flew out before you had the chance to process what you said. “ Pft, yeah right. You can't love someone you don't know especially someone like me.” You looked away from him.
" Surely spending months next to each other in a cell, while bonding over our traumas should be classified as getting to one another." he laughs as you roll your eyes. " You cannot tell me that you don't feel the energy between the two of us. When you say someone like you, please do not refer to your looks. In my eyes you are the most beautiful woman, every inch and curve of your body I wish to worship and kiss even if I have to get down on my knees. " he walks closer to you and you feel your breath hitch when he places his hands on your wide hips.
You place the palm of your hands on his chest, and you look him in the eyes " I can't lie and say I don't feel anything for you, but things are complicated. We want different things and I'm afraid to love you and then lose you." Loki moves his left hand from your hip to your cheek. " I want you and that means I'll follow you wherever you go" You tilted your head up and kissed him this time, and you moved your hands from his chest to his face. When you pulled back you rested your forehead agist his. " let's see where the journey takes us"

Again, I don't want to scare you or ruin your mood, but the Mobius you see in the currently released footage is our Mobius from season 1. He doesn't have his memories erased and he fully remembers Loki and everything that happened in season 1.
I'm saying this now because I don't want you to be disappointed when the show comes out. This very much is the same Mobius and I would tame certain expectations regarding his arc. I know some plot points of the season and I can reveal them in a separate private ask if you want.
Now you're worrying me, but please let me rant a little bit about the "new Mobius" theory (which is just an assumption I made from the recent releases, nothing cerebral).
So, we know that the Mobius Loki meets at the very end of s1 is a Mobius who doesn't know who Loki is ("who are you? What division are you from?" still haunts me).
Tumblr media
In the first and never-seen trailer of Loki s2, the one they showed at the Disney Plus day or whatever that was called, we saw an extra scene (not shown in the recent released trailer) where Mobius and Loki are sitting at a table (where, we don't know) and Mobius is asking Loki "who said you were?" (probably replying to Loki's "I don't want to be the problem anymore Mobius", we couldn't hear the exact words because people were applauding and that was a leaked video).
(I can't find the leaked scene pics but this is the scene. The one I'm talking about is an extra dialogue that wasn't shown in the recent trailer).
Tumblr media
Loki answers Mobius, "I don't know. My mother, my brother, the Avengers, Odin etc etc and... you". Mobius smiles softly. We all assumed that Mobius had no memory of what happened in season 1, so he doesn't recall calling Loki the villain, or accusing him of being a murderer (then fixing it saying Loki can be "whoever or whatever you wanna be, even someone good" btw). That's why he smiles, like saying "oh, didn't know that, sorry".
Also, I think the "lemon cake scene" takes place after Loki and Sylvie's reunion at the McDonald (and Mobius is there too). There's a scene where we see Loki and Sylvie, in the same rounded room with the cakes, talking (they're alone, Mobius isn't there anymore). That's in the trailer. Sylvie is wearing her own clothes again.
Tumblr media
I assumed this scene takes place after the McDonald reunion and after Loki and Sylvie (and Mobius) have fought together (against what we don't know), and here Loki and Sylvie are confronting each other once again. But whether this scene is set before of after the fight, it must be at the beginning of the series (like in episode 2 or 3?).
This is the fight (you can see Mobius behind Sylvie):
Tumblr media
The lemon cake scene was the one people has been calling the "jetski cafe scene" since the first leaked trailer, but I don't think that's from the jetski cafe set. I think it looks more like a TVA room (look at the circles on the top in the prev pic). We have zero scenes of the jetski set, except the one where Loki is surrounded by jet skis.
Tumblr media
(if in this scene mobius doesn't show up I'm gonna sue marvel)
By the way, what makes me believe this Mobius doesn't know/remember who Loki is (besides the fact that we saw it at the end of s1), is how Mobius talks to Loki. In this scene, which may be set at the beginning while the two of them are searching for Kang (before Sylvie's return? Or later?), Mobius says "you're a man of action, which is fine... while I take a more slow deliberate cerebral approach... this is a good pie!". Like, why does he need to say that? They already know each other, don't they? It could be Mobius just joking around, but it sounds strange.
Tumblr media
Why, if this is the same old Mobius, should he asks "who said you were?" to Loki when he perfectly knows Loki's backstory, and their own beginning of relationship? Why does he have to say he's not a man of action while Loki is? It all sounds very much like a Mobius who doesn't know/remember who Loki is, but he's teaming up with him again, ready to believe in him as he has always done.
Being said so, if you know something you can write me in private! There many rumors (a major character being killed off, the jet skis scene, and more) and I'm starting to get quite nervous and my expectations are pretty low (they have been so since the last episode of s1 which ruined my whole vacation day and I will never forgive marvel for doing that shit).
End of the rant!

Relinquish Your Burden: Chapter 6
"The Sun Will Shine On Us Again"
Word Count: 3.9k
Relinquish Your Burden - Chapter 6 - tallseaweed - Loki (TV 2021) [Archive of Our Own]
Tumblr media
"Again."
"Again."
"Again."
"Let's go faster this time."
"My Variants are already out there."
"Nothing survives, Loki. Not even the Sacred Timeline."
"You cause a war that kills us all."
"What good is free will if everyone's dead?"
"You're replacing one nightmare with another."
"I know what kind of god I need to be."
"You do know yourself."
"A villain."
Loki awoke with a gasp, his limbs tangled in sweaty sheets. A soft light was filtering in through a small leaded window on the far wall. Where was he? He needed to get back, the timelines needed him—
The scent of a familiar cologne surrounded him, soothing his panic.
Mobius.
It all came rushing back.
Sylvie.
Thor.
The Watcher.
Mobius's eyes and the dancing lights…
Loki rolled over, finding the other side of the bed vacant. Muffled voices were coming from the other side of the door.
He pulled himself from bed, bare feet padding toward the window. Outside, a grey spaceship with purple and turquoise stripes sat in the snow. The low-hanging clouds made it difficult to tell, but it must have been close to midday.
Mobius's laugh carried over the hum of voices in the other room, and Loki couldn’t help but smile to himself. Raking his fingers through his sleep-disheveled hair, he went to open the door.
The scene that greeted him made Loki do a double take. Thor was frying up some sort of egg dish on the stove while Love chatted with him from a barstool. Sylvie was on her tiptoes rummaging through one of the cabinets, and Mobius was chopping something on a cutting board. It all looked so ordinary, but the circumstances that had brought them all together were anything but. Loki felt as if his two worlds were colliding.
Across the room, Mobius's eyes met his own. Immediately, he set down his knife and smiled. "Mornin' sunshine."
Thor and Love's conversation tapered off, and everyone turned to face Loki. He gave a halfhearted wave as Mobius made his way toward him.
He and Mobius had fallen asleep in the clothes they'd been wearing the night before, but the latter was now clad in a brown knit jumper and denim trousers. If the luggage in the corner was any indication, he'd used Sylvie's TemPad to go retrieve some essentials.
"How'd ya sleep," Mobius asked, leaning up to give Loki a brief kiss on the cheek.
"As good as can be expected," Loki sighed, running his hand down the side of Mobius's arm. He could feel a blush creeping up his ears from the weight of everyone's attention.
"You owe me 5 units Aunt Sylvie," the young girl's cheery voice piped up.
Mobius rolled his eyes and took Loki's hand, leading him toward the table. "Do you want some lunch? 'Fraid we both slept through breakfast."
Loki caught Thor's eye from across the kitchen island. His brother looked surprised by the exchanges of affection but recovered himself quickly. He shot Loki a warm smile. "I've made a Midgardian dish called an omelette, Brother. Would you like to try?"
"Sure. Smells lovely."
~
Loki hadn't realized how hungry he was until he put the first bite in his mouth. When was the last time he'd had a proper meal? He honestly couldn't remember. Three generous servings later, Loki began collecting everyone's dishes and bringing them to the sink. He was stopped by Thor's hand on his shoulder.
"Would you come for a walk with me, Loki?"
Loki turned to face him, meeting Thor's earnest gaze. "Alright," he replied, though his palms began to sweat. The last time Loki had truly conversed with Thor, he'd been attempting to rule Midgard and secure the Tesseract for Thanos. Safe to say, they hadn't exactly left on good terms. Making matters even more complex was the fact that this Variant of Thor had watched him die. Had clung to his body after the Mad Titan snapped his neck. Truthfully, Loki had no idea what to expect from the interaction.
As they made their way to the door, he conjured himself a Midgardian outfit, similar to what the rest of them were wearing. When they stepped outside, Loki was clad in a forest green turtleneck and dark denim trousers. He was glad he'd included thick black boots when Thor led them off the main path and into the snow.
They walked in silence for a minute or so, the cold wind biting at their exposed skin. Thor was dressed much warmer, but made no comment on Loki's choice to forgo a coat. Even before they'd learned his true heritage, the two of them had discovered that Loki could withstand the cold much better than Thor.
"So… you and Mobius…" Thor smiled suggestively.
"Yes," Loki huffed a laugh. "I'll have you know it's a very recent development, but…" The corners of his lips twitched, and he found himself unable to fight the ensuing grin. "Would you believe me if I told you I wanted to kill him when we first met?"
Thor let out a booming laugh. Until that exact moment, Loki hadn't realized just how much he'd missed that sound. "Actually Brother, I can. You've never exactly been quick to open up."
Loki clicked his tongue but conceded the point. Prior to meeting Mobius and Sylvie, he had been slow to warm up to people. Taking Thor's lead of stating the obvious, he said, "Your daughter is a force to be reckoned with."
Thor smiled fondly. "That she is. Do you know how I came to adopt her?"
"More or less."
"Then you'll likely already know that she was Gorr's daughter first. He was a mortal, but when Love emerged from the Altar of Eternity, she had the powers and vitality of a goddess." He paused. "Selfishly, I'm quite glad for that. Until yesterday, she was the only family I had left. If I were to lose her so soon—"
Loki was a bit taken aback by the display of vulnerability. He supposed he shouldn't be after their emotional reunion the night before, but still, he wasn't quite accustomed to it. Open communication had never been their family’s forte.
"I think Mother would have liked her," Loki said quietly.
"I'm sure she would have," Thor agreed.
A beat of silence passed. "When I first learned she'd died, I—" Loki broke off, a lump forming in his throat. He swallowed. "I'm not envious of you for having to go through that."
Thor let out a deep sigh. "Be grateful you didn't. Though I can imagine the way you found out was horrible in its own way."
"You're not wrong there," Loki murmured quietly. He paused, choosing his next words carefully. "If it's any consolation, I've seen countless timelines where Mother is alive and well. Jane too, for that matter."
Thor drew in a deep breath, simultaneously swiping a stray tear from his cheek. "Good. I'm glad.”
They began trudging up a small hill when Thor broke the heavy silence. "Mobius and Sylvie told me how they came to know you, but I'm curious. What is it like? This TVA?"
Loki thought for a moment. What a complicated question . "It's— horribly bureaucratic and stifling. And honestly, a bit terrifying at first. They use Infinity Stones as paperweights."
Thor halted in his tracks. When Loki turned around, his brother looked aghast. "By the Norns, I— I knew that place was powerful, but I did not imagine…" he breathed.
Loki nodded grimly, standing still while Thor took a moment to process. "They kidnapped me from my timeline right after New York because I managed to escape with the Tesseract. That particular act took me off of the Sacred Timeline, my predestined path . When I managed to regain possession of the Tesseract at the TVA, it wouldn't work. All of the Stones they keep there are rendered completely useless." Thor's expression was somewhere between horror and sympathy. Loki wasn't sure he could stand it. "At first, I wanted to burn the whole place to the ground." Thor chuckled. Good. "Sylvie did too. She might still want to, honestly."
They began walking again before Thor asked, "Was it strange, finding out there are countless different versions of you out there?"
Loki cringed. "You have no idea."
They had arrived at a large rock near the cliffside, overlooking the sea. Thor frowned at the snow blanketing its surface. Loki shook his head with a small smile and cleared the snow off with magic. Thor flashed him a grin. "I had forgotten how useful you are to have around, Brother."
Loki rolled his eyes and gave Thor an exasperated smile. "Glad I can be of service, Your Highness."
Thor laughed as they sat down. After a moment of taking in the view, Loki continued. "I suppose I grew somewhat partial to the TVA once I learned that all its workers were brainwashed Variants. It's not like they'd asked to be kidnapped from their timelines. And, well, by that point, I was becoming rather fond of Mobius."
Thor smirked at him and Loki narrowed his eyes. The desired effect was lessened by the involuntary smile pulling at his lips. He broke their eye contact and sighed, looking back out over the water.
"In time, I started viewing a handful of them as my friends. If we're being honest, I—" Loki hesitated, glancing over at Thor. "I never really had true friends, back on Asgard."
Thor looked like he wanted to protest, but seemed to think better of it. Loki was pleasantly surprised. He almost hadn't said anything, but decided he was curious as to what Thor's reaction would be. If he were being honest with himself, he was waiting for Thor to jump to the defense of the Warriors Three and Sif as he'd always done.
After a weighty pause, Thor murmured, "I'm sorry that I never noticed."
Of all the things Loki had thought his brother might say, the last thing he'd expected was an apology. Completely taken aback, Loki swallowed the lump in his throat, dipping his head into a shallow nod.
Suddenly, the sun broke through the clouds, and Loki couldn't help but tip his face toward it. It had been so long since he felt the warm caress of sunlight, let alone took the time to enjoy it. He glanced over at Thor, squinting against the brightness, and was alarmed to find tears streaming down his brother's face.
"Are you alright?" Loki asked gently, turning to face him.
"Yes, I'm sorry, it's just—" Thor took a shuddering breath. "Before you died, you assured me that the sun would shine on us again." Thor chuckled wetly, shaking his head. "I assumed it was one of your rare moments of misplaced optimism, but, well… here we are."
Loki couldn't help the surge of remorse he felt for the man beside him. This Thor had lost his brother, and Loki was just sitting here, acting as if he could fill the chasm his Variant had left behind. "Thor… I'm so sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry for, Brother," Thor said, wiping the tears from his eyes. "We're finally together again."
Loki's heart constricted painfully. After a moment, he said, "Do you truly still claim me as your brother, knowing I'm not the Loki you lost? After all the destruction I wrought on Midgard? On Jotunheim?"
Thor turned toward him, his eyes sparkling with sincerity. "Of course I do, Loki. You will always be my brother. Nothing could ever change that." He glanced back toward the horizon, the smile slipping from his face. "After facing Thanos myself and witnessing your terror when you recognized his ship…" He trailed off, a dormant rage flitting over his features. "I can only imagine the horrors you went through under his command." Loki closed his eyes, resisting the memories threatening to resurface. Thor went on. "Thanos was after the Tesseract and sent you to Earth as his pawn. I no longer blame you for what happened in New York, I— I blame myself for letting you fall into that monster's clutches."
Loki's heart twisted painfully. "The events preceding that were hardly your fault."
Thor turned back to him. "Was I not the one that instigated war with Jotunheim? Got myself banished from Asgard? If I had been there for you—" his voice broke with emotion, "perhaps you would not have let go."
"Thor…" Loki sighed, "that decision had nothing to do with you. It was impulsive and brash, and no one's fault but my own, but—" He drew in a breath. "I was irrevocably upset with Father. At the time, I believed he saw me as no more than a political pawn."
Thor made to argue, but Loki held up a hand. "It was not my most sensible conclusion, but none of it was your fault. Hel, I was even the one that goaded you into attacking Jotunheim in the first place."
"You warned me against it—"
"I knew you wouldn't listen. I never planned for us to get past the Bifrost— but I was playing with fire. With all that happened afterward, that scheme was undoubtedly one of the worst decisions I've ever made." He snorted derisively. "Though I suppose if I hadn't made it, I would have ended up at the TVA all the sooner."
Thor was silent for a moment, processing. "The circumstances of how it all happened may have been awful," he began slowly, "but not everything your scheme led to was all bad. I gained humility on Earth, and Father and Mother finally got around to revealing the truth of your heritage."
Loki made a face. "If you call Father finding me panicked and turning blue in the weapons vault 'revealing the truth,' then yes, I suppose he did. Midway through that conversation, he ever so conveniently fell into the Odinsleep."
Thor grimaced in sympathy. "I cannot imagine."
"No, I suppose you can't," Loki sighed.
They were silent for a moment, letting it all sink in. "Before you died, before Thanos—" Thor took a steadying breath. "In your final words to me, you reclaimed yourself as an Odinson. I know you're not the man I lost, but even with less shared history between us, nothing changes the fact that you're my little brother." Loki met Thor's gaze, shining with emotion. "And that I'll always love you."
Suddenly, it was all too much. Loki couldn't control the tears flowing down his face as he braced his elbows on his knees. Thor's warm, steady hand rubbed comforting circles against his back.
It was a while before his shoulders stopped shaking.
"You know, I'm actually your older brother now," Loki said after a while, attempting to sound lighthearted. Thor raised his eyebrows skeptically. "I spent centuries attempting to fix the Temporal Loom before I learned it was a useless endeavor. It took me longer than I care to admit to realize I had to hold the timelines together for the Multiverse to survive. It was all quite poetic, really; Eternal servitude to repent for my sins. Or so I thought. But, uh— I've got at least two or three centuries on you now."
Thor just watched him solemnly, his piercing blue eyes missing nothing. "You don't need to sacrifice yourself to be a hero, Loki."
Loki looked away, willing the tears not to fall again. He took a shaking breath . Since when had Thor become so perceptive?
"I've had to mourn you more times and more often than any other. No sacrifice is worth losing you again I—" Thor's voice dropped to a rough whisper. "I don't think I could bear it."
Before Loki even realized what he was doing, he was pulling Thor into a hug. Immediately, Thor squeezed him back, firmly gripping the back of his neck. "I missed you so much," Loki whispered through his tears.
"You'll stay?" Thor murmured into his hair.
"As long as you'll have me, Brother."
---
Left to their own devices to clean up what remained of lunch, Mobius and Sylvie settled into a comfortable rhythm. Clad in yellow rubber gloves, Sylvie carefully hand washed each dish before handing them off to Mobius to towel dry.
"I— I know this might seem out of the blue," Mobius began, "but, I'm really sorry for all those millennia I spent hunting you down." Sylvie turned to look at him, and he quickly clarified. "I don't expect you to ever forgive me—hell, I probably wouldn't—but I just… wanted you to know. You deserve to be happy, and— and you and Loki made the right call in freeing the timelines." He sighed heavily. "Even with all that happened afterward."
Sylvie set down the dish she'd been lathering and turned off the sink. "Thank you, Mobius, I appreciate it." She turned to face him. "You're a good man, you know that?"
Mobius looked down, shuffling his feet. "I'm not sure I'd go that far…"
"Well I'm not going to waste time arguing with you about it, but like I said yesterday, I'm sorry for keeping Loki's location from you." She looked out the window, lost in thought. "I was so caught up in finally having true freedom—so grateful for Loki's sacrifice, that it took me a while to see the bigger picture."
"We're all just doing the best we can to get by," Mobius said gently. They stood there in comfortable silence for a moment before Sylvie went back to washing the dishes.
"Ya know, in light of recent events, I might have to demote you to ' second favorite Loki,'" Mobius teased. "A certain God of Stories might not be too happy with me otherwise."
Sylvie threw her head back and laughed. Mobius didn't think he'd ever heard her sound so carefree. "As if I were ever truly in the running," she smirked, eyes twinkling.
After finishing the dishes, Mobius and Sylvie sank onto the couch. It was just the two of them since Love had slipped into her room with a book on Astrophysics once Thor and Loki left.
"Mobius?"
"Yeah?"
"I think I'm going to leave— once Loki and Thor get back."
Mobius sat up, turning to face her fully. "Really? Why?"
"I'm really happy with the life I've built, and now that Loki is free, I— I've done what I set out to do."
"Can I at least convince you to stay for dinner? It'd be a nice send-off. And Thor loves a good party."
Sylvie looked hesitant for a moment, but eventually conceded with a small smile. "Alright. One more night."
~
The sun dipped toward the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant hues of pink and orange. On the front porch of the cottage, Mobius's fingers carded through Loki's ebony curls. He didn't know how the God had wound up with his head resting in his lap, but he'd be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy it.
"You know, I was right about you all along," Mobius smirked. "You really are just a little pussycat."
Loki huffed indignantly  "I'll have you know that I'm a prince , Agent Mobius, and I will not tolerate this abased slander." Despite his words, he made no effort to move away.
"Whatever you say, Your Highness," Mobius chuckled.
As their banter subsided, Mobius's mind couldn't help but wander back to the night before. Although he couldn't fathom how Loki could ever want someone like him, the hours they'd spent under the aurora had done wonders to ease his anxieties. Despite this, there was one more thing nagging at the back of his consciousness. He knew it would sound ridiculous and irrational to voice it out loud, but he wanted to clear the air, and hopefully ease his mind.
"I'm not gonna lie Loki, I didn't expect this turn of events." Loki tilted his head up, giving Mobius his full attention. "This might sound kinda dumb, but I coulda sworn you were head over heels for Sylvie."
Loki hummed in acknowledgment, gently stroking Mobius's knee as he seemed to gather his thoughts. "Perhaps at one point I was, but for me, that was all centuries ago. She never felt the same, so those feelings didn’t last.” He huffed humorlessly. "She kicked me through a Time Door, remember? She was set on killing He Who Remains, and I wanted us to consider the consequences. I tried appealing to her emotions, and in turn, she manipulated mine." He looked up at Mobius. "I'll always care about her, but I assure you, I harbor no romantic feelings." His eyes sparkled, "Except, of course, the ones I have for you." Loki reached up and tucked a strand of Mobius's hair behind his ear. Mobius's heart stuttered in his chest.
"And how long have those been around," Mobius teased, before realizing it was a somewhat vulnerable question.
Loki rolled his eyes before they softened. "Unwittingly? It’s hard to say. I’ve been drawn to you ever since you told me you’d seen my entire life and didn't consider me a villain." Mobius raised his eyebrows incredulously. To his delight, a light blush began coloring Loki’s cheeks. "But knowingly? Since my 134th attempt at fixing the Loom."
"134th huh?" Mobius laughed. "And why's that?" Embarrassingly enough, he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy toward the version of himself that had been there. Which is ridiculous, he chided himself. That Mobius had been wiped away in a Temporal Meltdown.
Loki looked a little bashful. "I was, er, having a rough moment, and you just… made me feel safe. It sort of all just clicked into place."
Mobius couldn't help but squeeze Loki a little tighter. He leaned down and kissed his forehead. "Keep saying things like that, sweetheart, and I'll never let you go."
Loki flushed even more, but Mobius caught a glint of mischief in his eye before he pushed himself up, positioning his lips centimeters away from Mobius's.
"Then don't."
A thrill raced up Mobius's spine. He pulled Loki into a deep, possessive kiss.
~
By the time the last rays of sunlight dipped below the horizon, Loki had made his way into Mobius's lap, chin resting atop his head. After a few minutes of quiet embrace, Loki pulled back, looking a bit concerned.
"Earlier, I told Thor that I'd stay here with him. I never asked you if you'd want to go back to your life in Cleveland. I wouldn't be selfish enough to presume you'd want to uproot the entire life you've built to stay here in Norway with us, but—"
Mobius placed a finger against his lips. "If I'm welcome here, I'd be more than happy to stay." He let out a derisive huff. "The so-called 'life' I built? That was just me trying to keep myself distracted from your absence."
Loki gave him a bittersweet smile and squeezed his hand tighter. "Well, I can't imagine my brother having any objections."
Mobius smiled back, brushing a stray curl behind Loki's ear. "Earlier, Sylvie told me that she's gonna go back to her timeline. I convinced her to stay for dinner."
Loki hummed in acknowledgment. "I can't say I'm surprised. She's been uprooted too many times to leave it all behind again."
"I'm glad she's finally found some peace." Mobius sighed. Suddenly, he noticed two approaching figures in the distance. Loki took note of his distraction and followed his gaze. Thor was walking toward the cottage with a fierce-looking woman with long flowing micro braids—the King of Asgard herself.
"Well, looks like my brother brought a dinner guest," Loki observed, elegantly rising off Mobius's lap and offering a hand. "Shall we go greet them?"

Notes:
Hey everyone! I'm so sorry this chapter took so long to get out. Life got quite busy this past month, and I wanted to make sure I took the time to do Thor and Loki's conversation justice. They have quite a lot of baggage to unpack.
I'm currently working on a oneshot prequel about when Loki realized the true nature of his feelings for Mobius (during his 134th attempt at fixing the Loom). When it's posted, you'll be able to find it on the 'Relinquish Your Burden' Masterlist :)

🐍💚🟢 Mind blowing and Mind bending ‘Loki’ Facts 🐍💚🟢
~ Loki’s Impact on the Marvel Universe and How he is a Catalyst ~
‪*If he didn’t let the Frost Giants into Asgard to interrupt Thor’s coronation, Thor wouldn’t have come to Earth and met Selvig who then later helped Loki create the ‘space portal machine’ in the Avengers. ‬
*If he didn’t try to destroy Jotunheim then he would never have fallen into the black hole, gotten the Space and Mind stone and got the Avengers to assemble and ‘deliver’ these Infinity Stones to them. He let himself get caught by the Avengers because he WANTED to LOSE!
‪*If he hadn’t of killed Coulson, we wouldn’t have Agents of SHIELD.
‪*If he hadn’t got the sceptre, Wanda wouldn’t have gotten her amplified powers nor would Vision or Ultron ever have existed. Thor & Tony wouldn’t have had their prophesying visions about what would likely happen in IW..‬‬ 🟠
‪*In Thor The Dark World, he saved Jane in order to prevent the Aether (the Reality Stone) from disappearing into the void‬..🔴
*He accidentally got his mother killed & therefore banished Odin which caused to age faster which resulted in him dying and Hela to be released.
‪*He also called for Skurge to take them back to Asgard via the Bifrost but Hela caught the ride with them (who is Loki’s biological sister) which resulted in he and Thor to be sent to Sakaar where Thor reunited with the Hulk and met Valkyrie and Ragnarok to be caused. ‬
‪*If he didn’t take the Tesseract from Odin’s vault in Thor Ragnarok, Thanos wouldn’t have been able to find it therefore the snap either wouldn’t have happened or been delayed. 🟦
‪*If he didn’t let Thanos kill him in Infinity War, Thor would have been snapped out of existence and Thanos would have succeeded in erasing half‬ of the universe.‬.
‬ *If he didn’t use the Tesseract to escape in Endgame, we wouldn’t have the multiverse since he wouldn’t have become the ‘God of Stories’ or create the TVA. 🟦
‪*Sylvie Killing Kang at the end of ‘Loki S1’ made the next big villain for the Avengers to face in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. ‬
‪*In ‘Loki S2,’ he has to save the multiverse from being destroyed.
‪*Loki has to recruit heroes from across the multiverse in order to eliminate the ‘Kang Threat.’‬
‪*He can manipulate and re write time now that he is the ‘God of Stories.’‬ 🖊️📖
‪He is a catalyst. ‬
Doctor Strange saw that the only way it would all work was if Tony sacrificed himself. He saw what Loki was doing behind the scenes. Loki recruited HIMSELF into the TVA after recruiting Mobius and other underdogs in order
to humble and guide him. He even created Sylvie so that he could see from the outside what he had once been like and learn to ‘love himself.’ He has to tell her and his past self to not be selfish and power hungry (akin to Charles telling Logan to ‘guide his younger self’ in X-Men: Days of Future Past. He was ‘acting’ bad in the Avengers!! Loki admired Tony because of what he was doing. His purpose was to save the universe! 😭 He told Thor that the ‘Sun would shine on them again’ because he KNEW that they would reunite again eventually and told Thanos ‘You will never be a God.’ Because Loki was always that many steps ahead in the grand scheme of things. He was guiding himself and everyone else the ENTIRE time!😌💚
Btw: Loki called Don ‘Mobius’ due to Tony discovering the ‘Mobius’ strip’ in Endgame. He always admired Tony’s ‘glorious purpose and that’s why he keeps referring to him in the ‘Loki’ series and Mobius knows ALL about Loki because HE, Loki MADE him that way!😉🧬
He actually planned to get killed by Thanos in order to save Thor from being snapped and he knew that he would come back one way or another. He said these things for a reason! “I assure you brother, the sun will shine on us again” and “You will never be a God!”
Despite Frigga saying: ‘You’re so perceptive about everyone but yourself,’ the older, wiser Loki knows himself well enough in order to change the other, younger version of himself. He knows EVERYTHING about the Avengers members in the first Avengers movie for a REASON! 😉
So there. Loki is indeed more important to the Marvel Universe than we all realised. 😌‬💚
Thor, Hulk and Loki about the ‘Sun.’ God of Stories Loki made it so that the phrase the ‘sun is going down’ to calm the Hulk down and subdue him and the ‘sun shining on him and Thor again’ was to inspire hope and energy. ☀️
Loki is the ‘World Serpent’ Jörmungandr. 🐍
He created the World Tree Yggdrasil otherwise known as the ‘Tree of Life.’ 🌳
His new helmet is made out of ‘universal rock’ with the essence of the Time Stone in its core. 🟢
His previous horned helmets were gold and so is his new throne because he is an incarnation of Midas.⚱️
The Time Stone is green because of Loki. ‪Did he create it? Did he some how get it to Sanctum Sanctorum?‬ 🟢
‪Did Loki make Heimdall send Bruce to the Sanctum in Infinity War since Loki had been there before (in Ragnarok?) Is that why Bruce mentions ‘Loki’ to Tony, Stephen and Wong informing and warning them about Thanos?‬
So Loki WAS supposed to take the Tesseract in the Endgame heist after all. Kang planned it! 🤯🟦
He can read and control minds 🟡 He can traverse space 🔵 He can control and manipulate time 🟢 He has died and came back to life many times and sacrificed his soul to save the multiverse 🟠 He can manipulate reality with powerful illusions 🔴 He has the power of the multiverse as he absorbed *THREE* black holes when the loom exploded 🟣 And he can rewrite *EVERYTHING!* 🖊️📖 ✨🤯
He is an *OMNIPRESENT, OMNIPOTENT NEXUS BEING* at this point! He can harness all the power of the *MULTIVERSE* after absorbing time and space from the temporal loom! His power is only second to that of the CELESTIALS!! 🤯
*SCREW* the infinity stones! He *IS* the infinity stones He’s essentially a living *INFINITY GAUNTLET!* 🌀🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣 and said *“Fine. I’ll do it myself.”* And recruit heroes from across the multiverse in order to defeat Kang! 😎
He’s the most powerful Marvel character at this point. Creating the world tree, absorbing the multiverse and governing everything in it, *PERIOD!* No need for infinity stones ANYMORE! 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣
He (Loki) just *LITERALLY* erased, reset and rebooted and *SAVED* the MCU! 🤯🌀
Is the Time Stone green because of Loki? His eyes were *VERY* green after the temporal loom exploded. Did he create it? Did he some how get it to Sanctum Sanctorum?‬ 🟢
‪Did Loki make Heimdall send Bruce to the Sanctum in Infinity War since Loki had been there before (in Ragnarok?) Is that why Bruce mentions ‘Loki’ to Tony and Stephen informing and warning them about Thanos?‬
‪This show just changed Marvel in just about EVERY WAY! 🤯 ‬
He didn’t ‘break the loop.’ He ‘became the loop’ in order to save his friends, family and the entire multiverse. ♾️
Tony sacrificed himself to save half of the universe. Loki sacrificed himself to save the entire *MULTIVERSE!* 🤯
He’s not only the ‘protector of the nine realms’ but *ALL* of existence in *EVERY UNIVERSE!* Making him *MORE* powerful than Odin the ‘All-Father.’ 🤯
He can hear, see, influence and *FEEL* every being in the *ENTIRE MULTIVERSE!* 💚
He didn’t take the infinity stones or crave power anymore but to instead protect the universe and that’s what he’s doing and *THAT* gave him the ultimate power of God! 🥹💚 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣🚫
The reason that the multiverse exists is because of Loki and how Deadpool, the X-Men etc can enter the MCU.
It really was ‘Loki All Along.’ 😉💚

Loki Finale Spoilers
The more I sit with that finale the more it wrinkles my brain.
(Spoilers, kay?)
*
*
*
*
*
*
*
A lot of people are gonna take that finale hard. They're gonna cry. They're gonna yell. And that's okay.
They just wanted Loki to be hap-. No. No, I won't tell that lie. They don't care if he's happy. They wanted him to be indulged. Soothed. Kissy the face. Because they love him. (How could you not?) And they wanted to see him being indulged, in the way they feel he should be. Pictured it in their mind's eye, because they love themselves. And there's nothing wrong with feeling any of that.
But that's not a story. It's an infinite loop. It's trauma.
Loki feels lonely. Scared. Hurt. Something comes along and dandles him. Proves to him that he's worthy of life and love. The clouds part. He feels better. For now. But then something else hurts him and the cycle begins all over again. Hurt: Comfort. -> Hurt: Comfort. -> Hurt: Comfort.
Like a baby that stays a baby. Never grows or stands on his own two feet. Always needs to be cared for, always needs to be cuddled and kissed and sung to. Protect Him At All Costs. Like to dry his tears, reblog to bounce him on your knee.
Tumblr media
But if we love Loki -- exactly the way he is -- then what else is there? How else can we make him happy? Well, let's think...
For as long as we've known him, Loki's greatest fear was being alone. Why? He sees it as a judgement call.
His father abandoned him. Not because it would save the world, or by accident, or because life is cruel. But because he just didn't want him. The one person who should've loved him no matter what left him to die on the cold, hard ground. Because he didn't think Loki was worth it. That, in Loki's mind, is the meaning inherent to being alone.
He thinks it means you're unworthy of love.
Of course it would scare him. It scares us all in one way or another. But he let that fear define and control and ride him like a pony his entire life. It made him weak. It made him strong. It made him a villain and it made him a hero. It broke his heart and mended it.
But he never... actually... faced it. Never overcame it. So it kept him a child. An eternal child, constantly fighting for attention and worship, always pulling one house of cards after another down on his own head. Miserable. Ashamed. Entitled. A scared little boy shivering in the cold. The Orphaned Brat Prince of the MCU.
Until now.
This. Recontexualizes. The whole series! It makes Loki's arc about learning to overcome his fear, rather than just finding kinder ways to assuage it. It's not about becoming worthy, nor is it about learning he was worthy all along. It's about being able to sit with himself. To just be, without anything pulling his strings.
And when the crunch was on, he didn't kick the can down the road.
He's finally grown up.
He can stand on his own. He can take another's weight. In fact, he's proven he can do that infinitely. There's no scaling problem here. He doesn't have to live in fear of anything anymore. Yes, he's always been worthy, he just didn't know it, blah-blah-blah. But that's not the point. It's not riding his ass anymore.
"Alone" has lost it's power over him.
And so the Song of Freedom is finally not a lie to him. Because of him. They are free. Chaos wins. And because of this he's finally earned his throne. The throne to end all thrones. Earned it in a way no other king or god can boast.
Does he want it? No. But somebody had to do it. To lay down on the wire. What he wanted for himself -- what we wanted for him -- wasn't the point. A lot of people won't understand that because "this was his story! It's supposed to be about him!" But Loki's story has always been about learning it isn't all about him.
And it's not because he's unworthy. Not because we don't love him. It's not even because he's got an ego and needs to be taken down a peg. It's because learning that? It's just a part of growing up. The Bigger Picture. It's a lesson Thor had to learn. Tony had to learn. Stephen Strange had to learn. Wanda Maximoff. Peter Parker.
With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.
But apparently, that can scale infinitely. Loki is now...
...the Adopted Father of the MCU.
(holy mother forking shirt-balls)
