Hon'bl chief minister Mamata Banerjee came to inaugurate the 'Rathayatra Utsav' for the first time so there were plenty of police & other forces there, so it was little difficult to shoot there. I can recall my childhood mornings (even evenings somedays), dad cutting all the potatoes, shredding onions and green chillies and putting all the ingredients in a small pan along with nigella seeds, mustard oil, salt a little bit of sugar and a good amount of water and keeping it on a stove top. And then simmering and simmering and simmering.... then finally the magic! ✨✨ The magic of dad's cooking lied in slow cooking. I too follow this whenever I prepare this chochhori.
