You know what? I don’t like short hair Sasha.

There’s just something that’s very important to me about the member of the calamity trio who represents strength, a typically masculine trait, is represented by the color pink, and is the most feminine of the trio, looks and hobbies wise.

It’s about how it breaks the mould for the tomboy of the group to be the reckless, brute who represents strength. That is not Sasha.

I like that Sasha’s hair is only cut to the bob length after the time skip. And she was allowed to have long hair for the series run.

I cemented my status as a true Amphibia nerd by getting this fantastic Calamity Box tattoo! Even if my brain isn’t currently hyper fixated on it, it inspired me to push my creative boundaries and I’ve met such wonderful friends because of this show, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

The artist was Faith (@ faithfitzy on Insta) who did an amazing job! She was personable and patient with me as it was my first tattoo. Her color work is absolutely spectacular! The shop is Nimbus Tattoo in Tyrone, GA (it’s not far from Atlanta). If you’re looking to get an anime, video game, cartoon, etc tattoo, I would highly recommend them! It was a clean, comfortable, and fun environment.

I’m really gonna miss Amphibia, what an AWESOME show! Definitely one of my favourites of all time. And this scene was so intense, I had to draw it! Absolute Calamity Anne? It reminded me a little of that scene in Atlantis where Kida bonds with the crystal. A human containing all-powerful crystal energy .... Neat.

i don't think i've seen anyone else talk about this so i will: i think it's pretty, hm, important? significant? something like that, that Amphibia, the land itself, lost the Calamity Box permanently. it was an item used by an empire to invade, conquer, and destroy other worlds. it was used to power weapons of mass destruction. it was used to exploit their own ecosystems. the Guardian said the stones were never used "for good" and yeah based on the way Andrias and the Core acted, and just the knowledge that empires (no matter how "prosperous" for their citizens they are) are built on the backs of others, pretty sure that rings true. now, when the music box was lost the first time it didn't solve anything. in fact, because of the circumstances around the Calamity Box's disappearance, a restrictive caste system was put into place in Amphibia. because there were those who believed the box could still be found and the Newtopian army could go right back to what they were doing.

But now the box is gone forever, its last act a good one, and those that wanted to use it for evil were destroyed by their own last descendant. now Amphibia can start over and build a new, better world, with healthy relationships between the different species of amphibians. the youngest generation is setting out to explore all of Amphibia and see everything it has to offer, inspired by the scruffy teenage girl who used the stones' power to help others. no more prophecies, no more empires, no more doomsday weapons lighting up the night sky.

if a new portal were to be built, i would want it to be built by the inhabitants of Amphibia or Dr. Jan and Terri. that way it would be something built out of love and genuine scientific pursuit, not a morality test by a god.

This scene hits even harder when you realize that since Marcy feels like Anne and Sasha are only tolerating her, her first thought when her parents told her they were moving must’ve been, if her closest friends merely tolerate her, then nobody at her new school/town will even take the time to get to know her.

No wonder she ended up doing what she did. She didn’t want to lose the two people that she thought would ever want to be her friends.
