3 tbls Worcester sauce or as needed - 30
Spray oil

Summer Salad Basics
As summer moves into full swing, its time to make sure you have your salad supplies stocked up.  What are salad supplies?  They are all the fun stuff you can add to a salad to make it more than a bowl of green leaves.  Salad’s are a great dinner option especially in the summer.  They are quick, easy, and can be very inexpensive when most of the ingredients are coming from your vegetable garden.  Add some beans, quince, couscous or rice for some bulk. And  then add a hot element like grilled chicken, fried tofu or some grilled vegetables and you have a feast.   Oh one more thing, you know that 6 inch plate rule that I talk about?  Through it out when having a salad.  Keep the starch to 1/2 cup or less and then same for any meat you add, but other than that go crazy.  Any fruit or veg is fair game.  Also keep a couple of different kinds of nuts to top it all off.  I also like to have a couple of kinds of dried fruit.   Variety is the key.  If you are going Mexican use Spanish rice on the bottom, top it with chickpeas, taco meat and add some nutritional yeast.  If you make sure to look for the nutritional yeast that is not flavored with something like vanilla.  It has a cheese like quality.  Add an Avocado and you have a filling and healthy meal. Want to add an Italian flair to your salad.  Start with some tri-colored pasta at the base, then top it with mozzarella, pepperoni and some pickled peppers. Want a cajan spin, start with some brown rice, load it up with carrots, celery and bell peppers, and then top with blackened chicken, shrimp or fish.  Dress it with a remoulade dressing. Give your salad an Indian twist by starting it with some turmeric roasted cauliflower, then top with some pan fried panneer and a yogurt sauce.
