it was a while ago but would you consider a part 2 of (not) defenceless? it was so good
(Not) Defenseless - Part 2
Part 1
Beg.
Civilian's mouth went dry at the command; at Villain's knife's-edge of a smile cutting her to the bone.
Her fingers flexed against the fabric of his shirt, embarrassment burning at her cheeks. The words he wanted her to say stuck behind her tongue like peanut butter.
Villain smoothly pulled her to her feet again as if she weighed nothing at all. His eyebrow quirked in amusement, his grip on her waist unwavering.
"Nothing to say, pretty thing?" He looked infuriatingly smug. "You were convinced you could slay Goliath just moments ago. Now you won't even beg for your life."
Civilian's gaze remained locked onto Villain's, tracking his movements for all the good that would do her. She was hopelessly, foolishly unmatched.
"I think the fact that I'd prefer not to die rather goes without saying," she managed.
Villain chuckled at that, one hand rising to cup her throat, gently even. His previous threat of snapping it sloshed over her in a dizzying wave.
His fingers drummed against the side of her neck, expression thoughtful. She fought hard not to flinch at every tap.
"What did I do to inspire you with this murderous rage, pretty thing? I'm flattered to have invoked such a visceral reaction from a little butterfly like you--fiery as you are--but I'm curious to know the reason."
Civilian swallowed, standing a little taller. Even at her full height, he was a full head above her.
"You blew up a third of my university. My books were lost and I can't afford new ones. My syllabus has been scrambled into chaos. My hard-a** professors won't make any exceptions for deadlines. I've been set back by weeks and I have no time to recover! I'll never graduate now."
Villain looked surprised at that, wetting his lips. Civilian's gaze lingered there for just a moment too long. The corners of his mouth twitched up in an amused smile.
He leaned closer and Civilian's breath caught in her throat. She froze.
"Is that all?" He traced his thumb over her bottom lip. "You would have thought I kidnapped your mother, or killed your one true love, or something."
Civilian shot him a lethal glare. She shoved at his chest, and when that did no good, jerked away from him. Villain indulged her, letting go.
Planting her feet, she swung another punch, the way he'd instructed. Villain caught her fist, twisting her arm just enough to elicit a yelp of pain from her.
Villain leaned in close to her ear, the heat of his breath brushing her skin. "You should be grateful your school is the only thing I broke. I think you'll survive, love."
Civilian groaned, frustrated.
"Easy for you to say! People with power and privilege don't need to do well in school!" she exclaimed, breathing hard.
He pulled her arm just a little tighter and she winced. He studied her a moment before he let go.
"Okay."
"Okay?" she asked.
"I'll make you a deal." Villain stepped closer and she mirrored him with a step back. Another step, and he had her crowded against the alley wall.
She swallowed, looking up at him. "What kind of deal?"
"I'll handle your little school problem."
"If?"
Villain's smile was wicked and beautiful, sharp and charming. "If you say please."
This kind of just went full circle which I wasn't intending, but I just made it up as I went and that's where it took me lol. I was planning on working on a new snippet next, but I got this ask yesterday and felt like I could do it. (Sorry to the 17 other asks waiting in my inbox, I promise I'll try to get to them when I get a chance lol My motivation comes in rly weird waves and I just follow what I feel able to do moment to moment. :) )

wait but are there more recently new writers? we already know about most of the writers mentioned on that previous ask. don't get me wrong, crewe, yourheartonfire, deadlygemuwu, etc. and people like that are all great, but we all already know them and they're all popular. can we add more recently new and good writers?
@paperburrows is new, @watercolorfreckles got back into writing recently so she's also technically new so these both do count.
I think there was also @instrvmentals who had some pretty good writing and @noirewaves — they're both new and good
any more new ones we can add? i'm tryna find fresh folks
These are all great! I've been reading a lot from @paperburrows so. very good.

Unmasked
Prompt from @ghostly-prompts
“What is wrong with you?” Villain growled and stepped back from trading blows with an unusually bumbling Hero.
Hero stuttered, red-faced as they gestured at Villain’s face. “It’s just that—that I’ve never seen your face before.”
Villain felt themself stiffen in shock.
They’d forgotten their mask
She'd forgotten her mask.
Villain's fingers flew to her face, skimming the milky-pale skin of her cheek. She turned her back to him, but she knew the damage had already been done.
Cold dread seized her insides like a vice.
Hero had seen her face. How could she have been so careless?
She heard the slight crunch of Hero's steps slowly approaching, navigating through the wreckage and debris.
Her shoulders tensed. She could feel his presence just behind her. His attention burned at her back.
"Is this supposed to be some sort of 'show me yours and I'll show you mine' tactic?" he asked, the smile clear in his voice.
He tugged at a piece of her hair like a school boy with a crush.
Villain scowled, whipping around just to glare at him. His eyes caught hers through the slits of his mask. A shiver skated down her spine.
Hero observed her with a lopsided grin, boyish at the corners.
Snarling, Villain clamped a hand around his throat, slamming him into a nearby support beam. He groaned, but his eyes still held that infuriating sparkle.
She clenched her teeth. Took a steadying breath.
"Listen, Hero--"
"It's a pity you've hidden a face like that for so long," he breathed. "You're beautiful."
Villain blinked, her grip faltering a fraction.
Hero took the opportunity to switch their positions, pinning her back against the opposite wall. She panted, writhing for escape. He crushed her wrists against the stone above her head to hold her in place.
Catching her breath, Villain looked him up and down. She took in the pink of his cheeks, the way he seemed something close to floundering, in contrast to his usual confident flair.
"You're blushing," Villain spat, voice slightly raspy. Her own face began to heat. "It's disgusting."
Hero offered another sheepish smile. Villain shot him her most scathing look in response.
She despised the way he made her stomach swoop. Resented the way her pulse raced at the brush of his skin against hers. The rush of fuzzy-warmth clouding her head anytime her looked at her with those sunshine-eyes full of hope and goodness and other revolting things.
And now... Now he could see her face. She felt as transparent as a ghost, laid bare and unable to hide.
She swallowed.
"Don't worry," Hero said softly. "If I broadcasted your lovely face to the world, everyone would want a piece of you. Including those who would go about stopping you far less kindly than I would. Nobody else wants to see you come out of this alive like I do. So..."
He eased his grip on her, slowly letting go. A warm summer smile spread across his face as he held out a hand. "What do you say, beautiful? Come with me. We'll get coffee. Who says we can't find a way for both of us to win?"
Ahhh i didn't edit this more than quickly skimming it bc im scared i'll think it's bad, so I'm just going to leave it as is. This is just something short to dip my toes back into writing again. Sorry I've been gone so long, my dog passed away recently and I lost motivation. I'm really hoping to get back into posting more soon. Thank you for all of your support!

Writing Snippet - (Not) Defenseless
The hero swung at the villain, but he caught her wrist, squeezing as he leaned in close.
"Not like that. You'll break your fingers." His breath ghosted over the shell of her ear as he spoke.
The hero's breath stuttered and she blinked, looking up to meet his piercing gaze. "...What?"
The villain's smile was sharp as a blade, but not cruel. He shifted her delicate fingers to the correct placement, heat creeping over her cheeks at his touch.
Amusement leaked into his tone. "There. Try again, love."
Did the hero hear him correctly?
She swallowed, staring at him a moment longer before shifting her stance. Her knuckles clenched white and she swung at him again, but the villain dodged her easily.
His hand lashed out, snatching her upper arm and dragging her to stumble a few steps closer to him.
His grip was the only thing keeping her upright, holding her off balance. Hero frowned and wrenched her arm away, only able to because he allowed it, and staggered a step back.
"Spread your legs apart."
"Excuse me?" the hero spluttered and raised her fists again.
The Villain's amusement seemed to grow as he stepped close again, causing the hero's breath to catch.
"Your stance, love." He used his boot to kick her feet wider apart. "Plant your feet. Bend your knees just slightly."
Wide-eyed, the hero obeyed.
"Beautiful," the villain purred, sending a shiver prickling down Hero's spine.
The hero cleared her throat, then repeated the action when it didn't help. "You're...helping me fight you?"
He smiled again, tracing his thumb down the curve of her jaw.
"I don't make a habit of putting pretty girls on their backs unless they ask." His voice was low and velvet. "Especially when they're defenseless."
Indignation stung at her. "I am not defenseless, you--"
His ankle hooked under the hinge of her knee, buckling it so that she toppled backward. Firm hands caught her waist, keeping her from hitting the pavement.
"No?"
They locked gazes. His eyes shone with mischief, shadows and moonlight contouring the hollows of his handsome face.
Hero clutched at the villain's shirt for some semblance of stability as he held her in a dip.
"Put...put me down," she said, breathless.
Villain leaned in. "What are you trying to fight me for anyway? Feeling heroic today, are we? You might at least take a few self defense classes before going after someone who could snap your neck before your pretty mouth could even beg."
The hero's stomach twisted and bottomed out. She was in way over her head. "I…. I shouldn't have. It-It was stupid."
"So do it."
"What?"
The villain flashed a winning smile, dazzling and pointed. "Beg."

Let me know if you want to be added or removed.
It's short and vague and I wrote it at 2 am, but I just wanted to get the concept out there! I fought with whether or not to flesh it out more and add more of a story, but I think it's okay if not everything is a perfect, complete story. Writing something is always better than writing nothing, and that's important to remember in my case where I went 2 years writing nothing! 😅 Hope you enjoy. And ps thank you to everyone who's been super kind since my return. I'm very grateful and I appreciate you 💗

The Villain and His Therapist - Part 4
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3
"You know, that shade of pink looks lovely on you," Villain purred, descending the stairs to lean against the kitchen counter.
Juliet paused where she was scrambling eggs in a skillet and glanced down at her attire of soft blue pajama pants and oversized grey sweater. "I'm not wearing any pink," she said slowly, lifting her gaze to look at the Villain.
He'd just come down from a shower, dark locks of hair curling over his forehead. He smelled of her green apple shampoo. It made her insides swoop all funny.
Villain's lips tugged into an easy grin as he took one step closer, two. He paused directly in front of her to lift a hand, brushing his knuckles feather-light against her burning cheek.
"I was referring to your blush. It suits you quite beautifully." His voice was liquid gold. Her skin tingled beneath his touch.
Remembering herself, Juliet swatted his hand away and covered her cheeks with her palms. "I'm not blushing."
He didn't try to hide the amusement on his face.
"Mm, whatever were you thinking about, Doctor Meadows?" Villain took Juliet's hands to gently pry them away from her face, using the hold on her wrists to pull her closer.
Juliet sucked in a soft breath, looking up at him. The sun streaming through the window caught the highlights of his handsome face and illuminated his dark irises, turning them to molten amber.
"I...was...thinking about how gentle you can be. When you calmed me down that night, you were patient and sensitive; you displayed a lot of empathy and care. I'm really proud of you. You've come a long way."
Villain's grin grew a little softer as he tilted his head to the side, studying her face. The way he looked at her used to make her feel like prey being stalked by a lion. Now...it made her feel like she was the only thing in his universe.
Her stomach fluttered.
Juliet swallowed, continuing. "I imagine it isn't easy for you to be so vulnerable. I'm glad that you feel safe enough with me to be soft."
Villain brushed her fringe away from her face, tapping the side of her head. "That psychologist brain of yours never turns off, does it?"
She smiled sheepishly, gaze dipping down to the floor.
Villain's finger hooked under her chin, lifting it gently. "I never said I didn't like it. You are my therapist, after all."
Villain leaned in closer, eliciting the slightest hitch in her breath. He smiled, relishing her response.
His breath ghosted over her lips, leaving them tingling in anticipation.
"Yours?" she asked softly. Her mouth had gone dry.
"Would you like to be?"
Juliet's thoughts were rarely clear on her face. She was difficult to read under the years of training keeping her steady and prepared. Villain wanted to unpick that artificial calm from her; to map her every reaction. He wanted to watch her sigh and blush and smile...
"The eggs are going to burn," Juliet whispered, watching him.
Without taking his eyes off of her, Villain reached over her shoulder, turning off the stove. In one fluid movement, he turned with her, pressing her back against the counter.
If her cheeks were warm before, they were blazing now. Villain smiled again, this time something so fond it dazzled her senses. The world narrowed to just the two of them, flush together.
Juliet's hands fell against Villain's chest, lightly resting against the soft cotton of his shirt.
She breathed in his scent.
"Villain?"
"Mm?" he murmured, the hum of his voice vibrating against her palms.
"When your brother- What he said about how you feel...about me... Is it true?" She held his gaze, holding her breath.
"My sweet Juliet Meadows." His voice alone was enough to melt her. He took one of her hands with deliberate gentleness and placed a kiss against her fingers. "If only I were brave enough to say it out loud."
"You can say it in other ways," Juliet breathed.
His eyes gleamed.
"Oh I intend to," Villain said softly.
Villain's gaze flicked down to Juliet's lips. He kept one hand on her waist, slotting the other into her hair. He leaned in until their lips brushed. Pausing, he seemed to catch himself, probably remembering Juliet's comments in therapy about the importance of healthy communication.
He smiled again, sharp and beautiful. His warm breath grazed her skin while his thumb traced lazy circles against her jaw. "May I?" he whispered, his lips hovering just barely above hers.
Juliet opened her mouth to answer, and-
The door burst open.
Juliet jolted in surprise, panic shooting through her as she gripped Villain's arms before she caught sight of who was really at the door.
The figure was fitted in a deep red super-suit, a black mask concealing his identity.
She relaxed, releasing a breath through gritted teeth. "Hero?"
"Doctor Meadows," Hero said, relief flooding his expression. "I heard what happened to you on the news and with Supervillain's escape, I knew you were in danger so I-"
His eyes narrowed as he seemed to notice Villain for the first time. "You get away from her," he hissed marching closer, crimson beams of tech-powered energy sparking to life in his palms. "Let her go and get out."
Villain hardened at the sight of him in turn, straightening and pulling out an advanced weapon. "Now that's insulting, at least I was invited inside." His voice was smooth and dangerous. Chilling.
A far cry from the man who had held her close and smiled fondly only moments ago.
Juliet stepped between them, holding up a hand in each direction. "Stop."
"You invited him in? Doctor Meadows, he's Supervillain's brother! He's probably here to finish the job for him!"
"Oh that's rich," Villain interjected. "For all your self-righteous monologues begging me to change, to be better, when I actually try, you can't accept it."
"I'm not willing to bet Doctor Meadow's life on your 'moral awakening,'" Hero spat.
"Hero," Juliet said in the no-nonsense voice her job often required her to use. "Take a deep breath. Villain would never hurt me, you don't need to worry about that."
"He-"
"-is in rehabilitation," Juliet finished for him. "He is my patient, just as you are. He has made tremendous progress, you are in no position to discredit his reformation. I promise you that I am safe with him."
Hero stared, studying the pair. Villain's jaw was clenched, glaring hard at the hero. Juliet touched his shoulder and some of the tension immediately dissolved from him.
Hero extinguished the energy beams in his palms, shifting into a less guarded stance. He regarded them for a second longer.
"Alright."
"Alright?"
"You want to prove you have good intentions? Help me find Supervillain and bring him in, for good this time," Hero said. "I can't do it alone."
Villain turned to look at Juliet. She stepped closer, taking his hand as she spoke.
"No. I don't want you to put yourself in a position where your recovery might be compromised again. You're too close to the situation to act rationally, and it would be too much of a trigger for you."
Villain's gaze softened as it landed on her, any hostility in his demeanor vanishing like it had never been there. He brushed her hair back with gentle fingers, leaning in. His thumb dipped down to graze her lips.
Villain kissed her cheek, her chin, the corner of her mouth. He straightened, eyes intent, looking like he wanted to kiss her properly--but not until they were alone.
When time would suspend like frost in the air and the moment would belong solely to the two of them, in the quiet and safety of each other.
Juliet's skin felt cold at the loss of his touch. Dread swirled in the pit of her stomach.
Villain turned to Hero, observing him for a moment before extending a hand to shake. "Deal."

The Villain and His Therapist - Pt 3
Part 1, Part 2
TW: PTSD episode
Juliet jerked awake, bolting upright in bed. Her breathing came in shallow gasps as she strained to catch her breath. Unease crawled under her skin like spiders and it made her hands shake.
She closed her eyes, working to quell the roar of her thoughts.
It was just a dream. Nightmares are a perfectly normal trauma response. Your body is just telling you what you need to heal from and releasing the effects of that trauma in the way it best knows how. Just a bad dream. Nightmares have no bearing on reality.
Only, it wasn't just a dream.
Her stomach twisted, plunging cold as she remembered the weight of Supervillain's scrutiny, the molten burning of his voice. Any time she stood still, any time she closed her eyes, she was back there again, tied to that chair...
The nightmares still danced behind her closed eyelids. She opened them again, rubbing her face.
When Villain stabbed Supervillain, it didn't sever anything vital. He lived. He was taken to the hospital...where he then escaped as soon as his condition stabilized.
Juliet was promptly thrown into Witness Protection, carted off to stay in a white-picketed house in a very normal, middle-class suburb far from home. She was given a new name for the time being: Jessica Stewart. It hardly held the same fairytale charm as Juliet Meadows, and she found herself missing the way it sounded on Villain's smirking lips.
She blinked as the thought registered, catching her off guard.
To her, the safe house felt empty and cold. While her home was filled with colorful trinkets and art on every wall, this one was bland and sterile in comparison. Clean white walls, wood furnishings. The lack of decor made it feel hollow. In the night, it felt as lonely and unnerving as a graveyard. The walls were thick with shadows. The darkness seemed to swallow her whole.
With a shaky breath, Juliet flicked the light on. A gentle glow washed over the walls, illuminating the space. Panic still clawed at her, so she looked around, dissecting every corner for anything that may be amiss.
She froze as she heard a light plink against the window. She stared at the glass, heart jumping into her throat.
Plink, plink.
Forcing her limbs to cooperate, she slid off of the bed to her feet. She padded across the space with tentative steps until she could peek out the window.
Her blood ran cold as her gaze fixed on a figure standing below. What if it was Supervillain- What if he'd found her and he-
Wait...
That wasn't Supervillain.
Opening her window, Juliet peered down at Villain. Moonlight pooled around him, highlighting his face enough for her to be sure it was him. She released a shuddering breath.
"Villain. How did you find me? What are you doing?" She blinked. "Are you...did you just throw rocks at my window?"
His smile caught the silver light as he tossed what looked like a pebble up into the air, then caught it again without looking. "It seemed fitting. You are Juliet, aren't you? I saw your light turn on, figured you could use checking in on."
She smiled slightly. "No one's supposed to know where I am. How did you find me?"
Villain took his hands out of his pockets to spread his arms wide. When he spoke, his breath clouded in the crisp air. "Doctor Meadows, I'm offended you have to ask that. I have my ways."
"You shouldn't be here."
He flashed a grin. "I do a lot of things I shouldn't."
She studied Villain, who looked up expectantly at her. With a sigh, she conceded. "Come around to the door."
Juliet shut the window and walked to the front of the house, opening the door. Villain stepped inside, his jacket slick with moisture, his hair damp and tousled by drizzle and fog.
He seemed to fill the space, making the room look smaller. In the dark entryway, he resembled his brother to an unnerving degree. The way the shadows caught the hollows of his cheeks and silhouetted the angle of his jaw.
She abruptly stepped back from him and turned the light on, chasing the shadows away. Swallowing, she looked at him again.
Villain's head was tilted slightly, observing her. As always, his defined attention prickled her senses.
She pictured the last time she'd seen him. His brother's blood spattered against his collar--blood he'd spilled for her--after Supervillain had suggested he loved her.
Juliet's vision swam and the world swayed fuzzy.
Warm hands caught her waist, steadying her. "Juliet?"
Villain's voice was uncharacteristically soft, sending butterflies swooping in her stomach.
"I..."
She sucked in a shaky breath, waiting for the world to narrow into focus again; into something solid and real and safe like it should be. It didn't. Her hands trembled.
"I...I can't breathe."
Juliet was distantly aware of Villain scooping her into his arms and carrying her to the couch, setting her down with care. He knelt in front of her. Her ears rang.
She heard the villain's voice as if from underwater.
"It's okay, you're alright. I'm here. Hey. Juliet."
The haze cleared a little and her eyes shot to him at the mention of her name. Villain brushed her hair back, his touch the only thing keeping her rooted in reality.
"You're okay," he repeated softly once he had her attention. He held her gaze. "Breathe in and out with me. Like this." He exaggerated slow breaths.
She mimicked him, keeping her eyes trained on him, zeroing in on the touch of his skin against her temple. She felt untethered, like she could watch herself float away.
"Okay, let's...let's try a grounding exercise," he said as if reading her mind. "Can you squeeze my hand?" He held his palm out to her.
Juliet took hold of it, giving it a squeeze. Her grip was weak and quivering. Villain ran his free hand up and down her arm to keep her present.
"Squeeze it harder. Twice more."
She obeyed, her grasp more firm this time.
"Good," Villain praised, his voice a velvet purr. A shiver trickled down her spine.
He led her through a few more grounding techniques until she was calmer. The last one, she'd taught to him herself mere weeks ago.
Juliet smiled slightly, still feeling a bit numb around the edges, but much more like herself. More human.
"Who's supposed to be whose therapist here?"
Villain offered a gentle smile and it flooded her veins with warmth.
"You were kidnapped, Doctor Meadows. I don't think being a therapist makes you immune to trauma."
She looked at him as he tracked her with attentive concern. Villain frowned and reached out, gently tracing his thumb over the healing slash that marred her cheek. His thumb dipped down to brush her bottom lip.
Juliet's cheeks burned. "Villain."
"Juliet," he countered, his typical cocky playfulness dimmed to a murmur.
His hand lingered on her cheek. Their gazes interlocked.
"Stay," she whispered.
Villain's smile made her dizzy all over again. "Always."

You’re on this list if you’ve asked to be tagged in any of my writing before. I prefer doing a general list instead of individual ones since that is tedious to keep track of. Let me know if you want to be added or removed. :)
This took me so long to finish, I've been working on it a few lines at a time for like 5 days. At first, it just wasn't coming easily to me and I was getting frustrated, but I think it came together well enough to post! Hope you enjoy. Thanks for your support, lovelies.
((Also do you like my new profile pic? this is my fave pic crew I've made of myself lol its cute))

Note
An idea:
Hero and Villain going to the same therapist but don’t know about the other. The therapist knows both of their secret identities obviously and has to deal with them complaining about each other separately
Bonus scene:
Villain finds out that therapist knows Hero’s secret identity and tries to trick the therapist into revealing Hero (can be flirting, snooping in the office, etc)
Btw, I think you’re doing fantastic with your writing! I honestly can’t believe you haven’t written in so long— your recent work flowed perfectly. Thank you for sharing your talent for writing on tumblr!!! Also I just realized how long this ask is sorry I didn’t mean to overwhelm you lol
Answering my first ask (((finally)). I'm kinda nervous lol! Thank you so much for the sweet words, @glowing-alpaca (it wont let me tag you), that makes me so happy to hear. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you pictured, but this is the direction my brain wanted to go lol I haven't written anything based specifically on someone's request before so I really hope you like this!!
"Villain?"
The villain blinked and Doctor Meadows' office came back into focus. He shook his head slightly to dispel the thoughts nagging his attention.
"Sorry, what?"
"I asked whether you gave what we spoke about last week a try? We talked about finding productive ways to express your negative emotions." Her voice was soft and void of judgment. "You have a creative mind, have you tried anything that has seemed to help you so far?"
Villain's gaze followed the curve of her pen as the therapist jotted a note down on her notepad.
"How can I possibly be productive when that fool in colored spandex is always barging in, getting in my way? What am I supposed to do, mm? Throw some pottery at him?"
The therapist's hands folded in her lap. "Even if you can't control the situation in the moment, you can still find ways to better prepare yourself, then you'll be equipped to process the aftermath in a healthy way. You can't keep Hero from doing things that act as triggers for you, but you can implement some techniques to control yourself better."
Villain scoffed. "What, you want me to try soaking with a bath bomb, sing kumbaya? Nothing will change until that cockroach is out of my way."
Despite the chill to his voice, doctor Meadow's expression was warm and gentle as she regarded him. She was much more sincere than the cold and demeaning therapists he'd met with at the previous facility he'd tried; or the doctor who cowered in fear when he showed up to his first appointment.
"I am confident that with time and effort, we can find a solution that will help you, villain. But you have to put your best foot forward. You have to invest enough in yourself to sow the desired outcome." Doctor Meadows held his gaze without fear, kind eyes and soft smile settling his restless energy.
She always had a way of snuffing out the tension that corded through him and wound him tight.
They had a connection, and Meadows seemed genuine in her care for him. Sometimes he even wondered if she felt more for him than that.
Villain huffed and glanced around the room, taking in the colorful artwork on the walls, the comforting throw rugs, pillows with silly inspiring catchphrases, and soft furnishings making the space feel inviting. He found it far more disarming than the sterile white, desolate offices he'd visited before.
The therapist continued after allowing him a moment of quiet to consider her words. "I understand that we are a ways away from you being in a place where you feel comfortable giving up your...occupation. I believe that we can work our way there, but for now, we have to take steps to minimize your destructive behavior. The intent behind your actions is the key to why you are compelled to do the things that you do. If we start there, we can make changes that are healthier for you and those around you. What things best calm you and make you feel grounded?"
You, he thought, but didn't say.
"Chaos," he said instead, dazzling her with a sharp smile. He crossed his legs, leaning back on the plush lilac couch.
Doctor Meadows didn't flinch. "So when you feel like your life and personal environment are no longer in your control, it comforts you to inflict that same helplessness on other people? To help you feel less alone."
Villain stared at her. Anyone else would have run and hidden at the look on his face.
Doctor Meadows waited patiently for his response. "Do you feel that that is a correct assesment?" she prompted.
Villain straightened to lean forward in his seat. When he spoke, his voice was low. "What gives you that impression?"
"When Mr. Ma--" her eyes widened as she cut herself off, correcting herself, "--when [Hero's superhero name] isn't around, you--"
"What did you say?"
For once, the therapist's blood ran cold at her mistake. "Pardon?"
Villain braced his hands on the table between them, slowly rising to his feet. He towered over her. "Hero. You know his name. Tell me his name."
Doctor Meadows pursed her lips. "I can't do that, Villain. Doctor-patient confidentiality states--"
"--He's your patient," Villain interrupted again, his smile something too sweet, too manic, to be sincere. Like poison.
The therapist tracked his movements while still looking steady and unshaken.
"Doctor Meadows. Juliet. You want to help me, don't you?" he purred, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "If I knew who he was, I could solve all my problems. Not to hurt him, just to keep him out of my way."
His fingers trailed up her arm, leaving a trail of goosebumps on her skin. She shuddered in a soft breath, a blush creeping over her cheeks.
"I am not at liberty to share my patient's information. You should be grateful that I don't share yours."
"Sweetheart, let's not pretend I'm just any client." Villain gently took the pencil and notepad out of her hands, setting them aside. Their gazes interlocked.
"Villain--"
"Juliet," he countered, voice honeyed. His free hand landed at the small of her back and he could feel a shiver run through her.
"Villain," she said, tone giving no room to argue. "If you are not willing to respect my rules and the policies I am required to follow, I will be forced to transfer you elsewhere."
He paused at that. The silence stretched. Could he stomach losing her? His therapist, his Juliet, the only person who came close to understanding him?
How dare she threaten to abandon him?
Finally, she shifted slightly under the dangerous look he studied her with.
"Villain. Do you understand?"
Slowly, he lowered himself back into his seat. He clenched his hands at his sides.
She smiled again, and it looked like home. "Good. Take a deep breath. Let's try a few new exercises together to help you manage your emotions."

Please do a continuation to villain and his therapist! I’m in love with it!
Thank you, Anon!! Here ya go :) Hope you like it ♡ thank you @writing-on-the-wahl for reading the first half when I was having trouble with it.
Part 1
CW: angst, captivity, mention of blood, minimal violence
The world sloshed fuzzy and dim as Juliet's eyes fluttered open. The room seemed to dip and sway before coming into focus.
"So you're my brother's shrink," a deep voice cut through the silence that rang in the therapist's ears, startling her into a more upright position.
She recognized that voice from tv... low and molten, distinctly belonging to Supervillain.
She recalled the stories of him from her sessions with Villain...
Juliet looked down, assessing. She was bound to a chair, and the cold of the metal seeped into her aching bones. She blinked the remaining dizziness away, starting to turn her head, but a vice-like grip closed around her jaw from behind.
She froze, a small sound escaping her lips.
"Hero's too, I hear," Supervillain continued from behind her. "What a happy coincidence."
Supervillain abruptly rounded on her, crouching inches away. His gaze bore through her and she felt pinned to the spot.
It rivaled any dangerous look that Villain had ever given her.
Juliet's stomach plummeted but she stayed composed. "Whatever it is that you want, I can't help you."
Her voice shook only a little.
"No?" He reached out, something metal in his hand catching the light.
Her breath caught as Supervillain traced the tip of a blade down her aching temple, arcing over the curve of her cheekbone.
She couldn't help but imagine how easily it could slice through her flesh like paper.
Juliet swallowed, squashing down the panic that threatened to flood her, and didn't let it show on her face. She'd had plenty of training to stay calm in intense situations.
"Why am I here?" she asked, making sure to keep her voice level.
Supervillain let go of her jaw to lift her chin with the tip of the blade.
"You've been brainwashing my brother with all your sunshine and rainbows mentality. Tyranny is in Villain's blood, it's a crime for you to try to make him into some soft tame thing. He was born to cause bloodshed, sweetheart."
Juliet took in a shuddering breath. "I am not making him do anything--"
"You're manipulating him," he hissed.
"He is in rehabilitation," she corrected. "He wants to be more than a villain, he is capable of better. He is my patient, I want what is best for him."
Juliet winced as Supervillain slashed a cut on her cheek, below her eye. She looked up, locking gazes with him.
She felt the warm ooze of blood dripping down her skin. The sting of it sobered her to the danger she was in, panic twisting her insides. For all the times Villain had gotten angry, he'd never touched her unkindly, never hurt her. She trusted he never would, not her. His brother, however...
"You want to declaw him; to dull him down into something palatable for you." Supervillain's voice was low and harsh, and the threat of it felt like walking on broken glass. "I'm not going to let that happen. We're going to take care of this little...distraction, and he'll get back to being what he was meant to be."
He stood, pulling a phone out of his pocket. Juliet's phone.
He punched in a number and waited as the phone rang.
"Doctor Meadows," Villain's smooth voice answered on the second ring. She could picture the flirty smile that no doubt played on his lips.
Her heart squeezed.
"I have your little shrink here with me. Why don't you come by and you can help me decide how best to dispose of her, mm?"
"...Supervillain?" Villain's voice was low and cautious on the other end of the line. "Did you hurt her?"
"Ah, only a little. Come see for yourself."
"What did you do? Is she there? Juliet?"
Supervillain held the phone out in front of the therapist. She swallowed, finding her voice.
"Villain," she spoke softly, keeping her eyes trained on Supervillain who observed her like a predator stalking prey. "I'm fine. Don't come here, he wants to undo all your progress--"
Juliet gasped as Supervillain backhanded her. It burned across her opposite cheek and she could taste the blood beading on her lip.
Supervillain brought the phone back to his own ear. "I want you to return to your full potential, Brother. Come. Let's talk."
He hung up.
--
Within several minutes, Villain came through the door with a carefully guarded expression on his face.
"A present for me? You shouldn't have." He sauntered closer, airing casualness, but she could see the unease in his eyes as he observed her.
His gaze hardened when he saw her swollen lip, the cut crowning her cheek, and the bruise no doubt blooming across the other.
Supervillain rested a hand on Juliet's shoulder and squeezed.
Villain stopped.
"This leech has infected your mind, Villain," Supervillain said. "She's manipulating you. You think she cares about you? She cares about the paycheck she gets every week, she cares about fulfilling her 'civic duty' in snuffing you out, slaying the beast."
"Villain." Villain's gaze snapped to Juliet as she spoke. "Don't listen to him."
Supervillain's grip tightened on her shoulder, making her flinch before she could stop herself.
"Think about it. The heroes tried to take you down and they failed. They couldn't defeat you outright. So they shoved this pretty girl with soft words and false promises down your throat. She's doing their dirty work for them."
"She's my doctor," Villain said, fists clenched and rigid though to Juliet, he was visibly agitated.
"She's one of them! Think, Villain." His tone was nearly sharper than his knife.
"Stop."
"How do you cook a frog?" Supervillain continued, ignoring his brother's objection.
"What?"
"If you drop a frog into boiling water, it'll immediately jump out. But if you heat the water slowly, it won't even know it's in danger until it's too late. It sits there and cooks from the inside out, slowly. That is what she is doing to you."
Villain looked between Juliet and his brother, slightly resembling a caged animal.
"She's a psychologist, villain, she knows exactly what mind games to play to get you to do what she wants. You think you love her and that she might feel the same." He laughed bitterly. "She might love the idea of you. But do you think she'd ever love the real you, love anything other than the idealized version of you she's created? At least when the heroes try to crush you, they're upfront about it. She's crushing you from the inside and you're letting her."
Supervillain wound his fingers into Juliet's hair and yanked her head back, baring her throat. He extended his blade to his brother. Villain's fingers flexed at his sides.
"Kill her. Liberate yourself. If you don't, I will."
Juliet found Villain's gaze and held it, desperate for him to hear her. "Villain. Don't let him ruin your recovery. You're doing well, you are incredibly strong-willed to have made such progress so fast. Do not let him take that from you. You earned it, Villain. I didn't do that for you."
Villain swallowed and took the blade. Juliet's vision swam.
"I'm sorry, Juliet," Villain said softly. "It's not worth it."
Juliet squeezed her eyes shut.
She heard the blade puncturing flesh and the grunt that followed. She opened her eyes again to watch Supervillain fall to the ground, his blood spattered on Villain's shirt. She stared at him.
He knelt before her to cut her restraints. Their gazes interlocked.

Please Save me From the Monsters
A scream died in the hero’s throat as she was slammed against the brick alley wall. The vampire pressed flush against her, pinning her in place.
She opened her mouth to speak, beg, anything, but a small choked sound was all that came out.
“Shh,” he soothed, tracing a thumb over her bottom lip, stroking down her jaw to cup an icy hand around her throat. His gaze skated over her lazily, but something about it grew pointed and yearning when her pulse thrashed beneath his fingers.
Hero stared, wide-eyed and frozen in place. Every instinct screamed, alight with panic. The air felt too thick and her vision began to fog.
The vampire smiled, flashing much-too-sharp teeth. “Now what might your business be here? Aspiring vampire-hunter perhaps? So ambitious. I admire that. Humans don’t come here unless they have a death wish, love.”
The hero swallowed, shaking her head vigorously, and the vampire’s eyes followed the movement. “No, I-I don’t-- I just-- I--”
Her breathing hitched as the vampire leaned in, fangs grazing her throat without breaking the skin. He laughed softly.
“In the time it takes to blink, I could suck you dry.” The threat in his voice, low and smooth, sent a shudder through her. “Or tear your throat out. Snap your bones one by one until you understand the mistake you’ve made. It really is a shame that humans are so... fragile.”
His grip left her throat to take both of her hands, lifting them gently.
The hero’s eyes widened, fingers twitching in his grasp. “Please.” It came out softer than a whisper, and if he didn’t have exceptional hearing, he wouldn’t have understood it.
His eyes, blood red and catching the moonlight like broken glass, didn’t waver from hers as he quirked a brow. “Please what, love?”
His palms beneath hers were unbearably cold, like clutching fistfuls of snow. She swallowed a second time, the vampire’s gaze dipping down over her throat again at the motion.
“I...I came here, to...to ask for your help,” Hero managed, voice timid.
He looked taken aback at that, but recovered quickly, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. “My help?” He leaned in close and the human sucked in a startled breath. “My, you must be desperate to want to make a deal with the devil.”
Up close he smelled like spices and copper and the night. He was breathtaking, all sharp edges and moon-pale skin contrasted by deceptively lovely, red lips
“Yes.”
His smile carved wider, sharp teeth gleaming. “Alright, love, I’m listening.”
His purr of a voice puddled warmth in her stomach, honeyed and velvet. Beautiful in the way that the most poisonous things in nature are.
A howl cut through the night and the hero paled, gripping the vampire’s hands in terror. She tugged a bag up over her head and shoved it into his hands. It jangled with the clash of coins.
“Please,” she said, breathless, as the vampire peeked at the small fortune inside the bag. “Protect me from the werewolves. Please save me from the monsters.”
