#i am laughing so hard but also sorta crying TTToTTT #my friend in america is consulting about a mass and she says that her GP there is considering a lipoma vs an epidermal inclusion cyst #but to cinch the diagnosis the GP's ordering an MRI scan??????? like damn????? #dito sa Pilipinas goods na goods na ang ultrasound??? #Medyo wild na MRI yung kinokonsider niya agad??? #what's more MRI with gadolinium contrast??? #actually I don't really get it because lipoma's aren't all that vascular compared to cancer tumors so like why the contrast????? #not to mention gadolinium is like #nephrotoxic :/ #Americans are you okay is this really the standard of care for y'all there ToT #no wonder the medical debt there sounds like a nightmare when y'all order the most expensive tests that there are when it's not necessary.. #I was just like 'okay if you're insurance is going to cover for it I don't see why not @-)' #like i don't wanna instill doubt naman in my friend because /I'm/ not going to be the one treating her but goddamn...
