Looking for a Mother.

Danny Phantom had a problem. Actually he had two problems, both problems came from Vlad. No, one problem is Vlad and the other is caused by Vlad.

The first problem is how he could sentence Vlad to "death" in the most painful way that could last years. The second problem was how he could help his daughter who now only had her ghost half and was forced into her core because her human side couldn't keep her ghost half stable.

When he went to Frostbite he got a solution to his second problem. He just had to find a woman to carry Ellie to term so she can grow a new human half. Sadly, that created a third problem.

Frostbite told Danny that Sam or Valerie (who both loved Ellie and would do anything for her) or any other mortal woman wouldn't be able to handle the power coming from Ellie's core. So now Danny had to look for a woman who was willing enough to hold the responsibility bearing his child and strong enough to survive childbirth.

And with Danny's responsibility as King he couldn't just leave to look for a woman to bear his child. He also couldn't ask his court or allies to look for someone for him. Because they would either kidnap someone or to use this situation to make a move for more power.

The Justice League had a problem. They actually had two, one was Darkseid and the other was Brainiac. The League got an emergency from Oa asking for help against Brainiac. So the league sent some of its heaviest hitters, which include the Supers, Captain Marvel, the Green Lanterns, the Flash, Zatanna and other non powered leaguers for help.

So of course Darkseid used that as a distraction to invade earth. And the league was losing, so John Constantine came up with the plan to use the new Ghost King to deal with Darkseid.

The others were sceptical but John told them he was a good kid who would help for free if he could. Sadly, he couldn't because when summoned the summoner or those around him had to give something in return for his help. Which was usually food or space rocks.

So reluctantly they started the summoning with the sacrifice they decided to give (two home cooked meals from Martha Kent and Alfred Pennyworth). They all started to feel cold even Batman in his temperature regulated suit.

Wonder Woman shivered with he blade in hand ready to jump into action at anytime.

After the summoning was complete they asked the Ghost King to help them with Darkseid. They were about to give him the meals but surprisingly he asked them to hold it for now because he has something he would like to ask for. So he told all but Wonder Woman to leave the room because he has something to ask her that only she out of everyone here could help with.

The Ability to Express

Summary:

She sees how he stops by her lab every day, complaining that it’s always messy and dirty, and then cleaning it up as she remains immersed in her own work. And then he shows up again the next day, and the day after that and so on and so on. Coming up with reasons and complains and excuses every day. Excuses to stay in her company, she knows.

Hange Zoe is a curious person. Her mind is always occupied, thinking, wondering, pondering, questioning. She thinks about her life, she thinks about the world, the Walls, the titans, the scouts.

Titans are fascinating, Hange thinks, with their morbid faces and petrifying grins, the way they resemble humans so uncannily and then pluck the very same humans off the ground and gobble them up so effortlessly, all in a spray of blood and mashed limbs. It is a sickening sight, but it makes questions pop in her head; are they conscious of what they’re doing? Do they enjoy it? Is it like a tasty meal for them? Then there are more questions: How is a titan made? They don’t seem to have any reproductive organs, so where do they come from? To what extent can they regenerate? Are there any other weak spots besides the nape?

All these answers lie in research and experiments. And she does that regularly, moving forward to quench that never-ending thirst for answers.

But there are other things that Hange Zoe wonders about as well.

She thinks about humans, their feelings, and dreams, because that’s what mostly drives one forward in a life like this. And she marvels. Marvels at the fact that something so abstract as anger, love, hope, hate, or envy can weave into such a tangible force that pushes and propels one onward when seemingly all is lost and gone and broken forever.

It is indeed an interesting thing, almost or perhaps even more so than studying the regeneration process of a titan-shifter. She has come to realize that emotions are a very complex thing. They are present in everyone, but they rise to the surface in a multitude of different ways. Each person is unique, and the ability of expression is one of the things that make them unique.

Some may argue, they may say that there are plenty of people out there who are emotionless, heartless, numbed by the cruelty of life.

Hange Zoe will disagree. It’s not that they’ve lost the ability to feel, it’s just that the way they express what they feel varies from the norm. She’s seen many people like that in the survey corps. Erwin, for example, the cold Commander, valiant and willing to sacrifice everything and anything for humanity. People say he’s lost all empathy, has become a shell of a man, or maybe it’s his position as the leader that’s done it.

He is like that to an extent, but deep down she knows there’s a person who cares about his comrades, whose sleep is haunted by the shadows of guilt every night, who enjoys the company of his friends, and even though it takes a good amount of alcohol to achieve it, Hange has seen his real self. The good-natured man who laughs with his friends and appreciates the simple joys that come with having the right people around you. She has also seen a spark of longing in his eyes, as he stares at them all laughing merrily together, as if he wants to carefully hold that moment in his hands and cradle it close to his heart, never to let go.

Then there’s Levi, Humanity’s Strongest soldier, a fearless man with a heart of stone.

Out of everyone, Hange thinks Levi is the most complicated person, a tough puzzle, an ancient language, almost lost to the ebb and flow of time. Almost.

And because Hange Zoe is a curious person—and surprisingly patient when it comes to her topic of interest—she has tried to read into those forgotten words, she has tried, and is still trying with every passing day, to untangle that complex web of words and actions and emotions that make up the Captain.

She likes the progress she has made.

Because it not only strengthens her friendship with him, but also proves her theory correct—if a man as stoic as Captain Levi possesses emotions, then the only thing that “emotionless” can mean is the inability to express in a way that falls under the definition of “normal”.

Levi’s way of expression is strikingly singular. And it’s fascinating.

Like how he barks harsh orders at his squad, making them endure tedious hours of bone-breaking training, without rest or meals. It’s his way of saying, don’t die out there. It’s seems cruel, yes, but Hange has seen the intensity in his gaze as he makes them work, and learnt to decipher that firm look; it’s determination. And concern. He wants to do everything in his power to protect and prepare them, arm them now in the security of the Walls, so they can survive once they step outside.

And when he gruffly burdens the poor new recruits with the responsibility of scrubbing the mess hall clean with only a toothbrush, Hange can see from the way his lips twitch at the corner and quickly morph into a scowl and from the slightest, most tiniest glint in his eyes, that he finds it amusing how his mere presence instills a deep fear within the younger recruits. Of course, Hange knows that there’s actually nothing to fear about Levi, but rumors can be powerful (she knows he would never kill someone if they as much as touched his cravat. He would break a few bones, but he wouldn’t kill them), and Levi doesn’t let the ones about him go to waste.

She sees his concern and care in the way he marches up to Erwin’s office, often accompanied by Hange, to remind him to pull your ass out of this paperwork and go visit the town or something, you’re being a pain in the ass for everyone. She sees the familiar glint of amusement—easily mistaken for anger at times—in his eyes as he throws insults at Mike in response to his jibes. Or the expression of content that she interprets from his relaxed brows and slackened features, when all of them are sitting together and drinking their worries away or recounting old stories.

Then there are also other things she notices.

She sees how he stops by her lab every day, complaining that it’s always messy and dirty and then cleaning it up as she remains immersed in her own work. And then he shows up again the next day, and the day after that and so on and so on. Coming up with reasons and complains and excuses every day. Excuses to stay in her company, she knows.

Because it’s Levi and he never was like anyone else, and she knows that he considers her a close friend now but just can’t say that outright. So he paints his real words in criticism and insults that are actually nicknames and tells her every other day that is this a lab or a junkyard? Why didn’t you die of some shitty infection by now? I’m cleaning this up, or oi, when did you last eat something more than a mouthful, shitty-glasses? Eat this up right now or I’ll shove it down your throat, or get out of this hellhole and see the sun, you’ve been cooped up in here for three fucking days. And because she’s learning to read into those harsh words, Hange knows that he’s just taking care of her.

She sees how he no longer flips her over if she tries to ruffle his hair, or how he pretends not to listen to her endless rants but the moment she asks for an opinion, he’s the first one to say something out of everyone who’s listening. He’s often drinking tea late at night, or walking on the rooftop of the headquarters as nightmares become harsher than the aching need to sleep. And now, he lets her join him with far less grumbles than he did when they’d first met and Hange was eager to be friends. She observes keenly how their late night chats become more habitual and soon they start bringing over paperwork to finish up among soft exchanged words and cups of tea.

Hange notices many things, and among them, she spots the fact that Levi somehow expresses differently around her than he does around others.

And because Hange Zoe is a curious person, she decides to look deeper into this. She observes how he seems to talk a little more around her, or how his eyes hold a sharper emotion when they’re sitting under the stars. It’s not something she’s able to decipher. Not yet, but she’ll get there. Just like she did before. And she sees how he holds her gaze whenever they depart for an expedition and searches for her when they’re ready to head back; carrying lifeless bodies instead of the victory they aim for. His stare is burning, she feels it on her back as she rides ahead, and it’s like a solid, tangible thing. It’s always there.

She notes how he often seeks her out after a bad expedition; his eyes are weighed and heavy, swirling with darkness, when she opens the door of her lab or her room. Then they talk for a long time, until she feels her own vision swim with slumber. So Levi gets up to leave and she registers how the shadows beneath his eyes have dimmed ever-so-slightly and he stands straighter than before. And when he’s gone, she realizes that sleep comes easier than she thought it would before he came to her.

And she sees how he’s always grumbling about her oily hair, but never hesitates to grab the same hair and pull them to demand attention. How he’s always saying that she stinks but never backs away when she’s too close or loops an arm around him. And she knows if someone else were to do that, he would break their arm. (She also notes how the thought makes her feel giddy and warm in the most ridiculous way)

Then she sees how he constantly calls her four-eyes and shitty-glasses and mutters how she never cleans those frames. And the next second she feels them being snatched away from her face and the world blurs. But Levi she can see clearly, because he’s close, and she whines how he always does that, and she can see perfectly fine with dirty lenses. He pulls the glasses out of her reach and begins wiping them. Hange gives up and starts talking about her experiments while he’s at it, and she regards how he looks right into her eyes all the while he’s cleaning, and he’s taking his sweet time.

Once he’s done, he stares into her eyes once more, for a moment too long and then slips the frames up her nose. She blinks as the world comes into a beautiful focus and grins at Levi.

He’s still standing right there, looking up at her. And because Hange Zoe is a curious person, she decides to ask him that question which always rises in her head when he cleans her glasses. It may be a question that will clear many more things. So she asks him.

She asks him what kind of eyes does he like.

He says nothing and turns around to walk away. Her heart sinks but then she hears the mutter of, the color of shit.

And then he’s gone and Hange is still standing right there, but she’s smiling because she knows.

Because she was curious and she tried to read into the complex language that translated Levi and discerned the meaning of each gesture, each word, and each action. Because she studied his ability to express. And now she’s smiling because she knows.

She knows exactly what’s happening to them both.

Godzilla Minus One Review:

You can tell by the amount of emotional storytelling and having us feel through the pain of Koichi Shikishima as he balances the struggle of defending his country and saving his life; that director Takashi Yamazaki has taken notes from his famed inspiration of the Star Wars franchise and truly made possibly one of the best Godzilla films in franchise history. This science fiction masterpiece clocks in at over 2 hours and every second of it was spent on the edge of my seat.

Kamikaze pilots became an addition for the Japanese military during the closing moments of the war in the Pacific. One thing that the film highlights is the beginning stigma of kamikaze pilots who decided to live either by choice or due to their planes mechanical failures. That is the historical context set up we get in the beginning elements of the movie as Koichi decides to land his plane on Odo Island despite his plane not suffering from any mechanical damage. We also see the first instances of Godzilla as the monster attacks and kills the majority of the mechanical workers on Odo Island sparing Koichi himself and Sosaku Tachibana.

Godzilla’s ruthlessness was felt throughout the entire film from the moment the monster attacked the crew on Odo Island to his absolute destruction of the Ginza neighborhood in Tokyo which was undergoing rapid development. The scene where Noriko hangs from the train pole for dear life as Godzilla rips the train in half was just wild.

One thing i really enjoyed about this film is the character development of Koichi. In the beginning of the movie, he decides not to fulfill his kamikaze duties but after realizing the immense sacrifices that many Japanese people (not only pilots) have endured during the war and the Godzilla attacks, he dedicates his life to his “impromptu family” and realizes that he is willing to sacrifice himself to create a “better world” for his “daughter” Akiko. Tachibana immediately sees that Koichi understands the immense toll that war has, how kamikaze pilots never had that choice to live and creates an eject mechanism so that Koichi can have that choice to live. You can see his facial expressions throughout the film start from being in fear to being determined to save Japan.

I also love that they gave Shiro Mizushima a moment of shine as he coordinates backup for Kenji Noda’s plan to sink Godzilla into the ocean floor. The theater was clapping! The movie was paced extremely well and used every part of its 2 hour runtime to tell its story. Did not feel like there were any fillers or unnecessary scenes. The ending also really does leave the viewers thinking about the many different ways and theories that the film may continue through a possible sequel. I know not all films need a sequel but Please give us a sequel!!

There are so many parts to this film that I can go into detail about that make this one of my favorite Godzilla films. This film only had a $15 million dollar budget and yet superseded many action movies made this year in the United States including the comic book movies in DC/Marvel well known for their $200 million dollar plus budgets. Studios should take note.

I highly recommend this film especially for those who may not be familiar with the Godzilla story who would like an introduction into the kaiju portrayal of monsters in Japanese films.

soooo any in-depth thoughts/analysis on the recent x-force comic?

Ooooh okay, so I've definitely already ranted far too much to @elvain and @positivelybeastly but yes, I have quite a few, on various levels of complexity. The main thing that really stands out me is this; we have followed Hank for 50 issues of this, and a solid chunk of Percy's Wolverine. We have been in his head at different stages, and observed his thought patterns and his reasoning at different intervals, however weak or out of character those are. Not once did he ever mention or even think about Simon. So it really does stand out that without a moment's hesitation or consideration, he gave his life for Simon. No messing around, no second thoughts... because it was Simon, and Simon specifically. He would have never in a million years done that for anyone on Krakoa. He was willing to permanently ruin his relationship with Jean and with Emma and with so many people he cares about, but not Simon. Simon, he will throw himself in front of time and time again. Even if you're not reading these two as romantic, the literal actual text is clearly that Simon is on a higher tier of emotional importance to Hank, even the worst version of Hank, than anyone else. That stands out. Intentional or not, that is what happens! The only person who could get Hank to stop thinking about Krakoa or about mutantkind's survival above all ethics or morals was Simon Williams.

Now, Percy doesn't write a particularly strong Simon. While Simon is a pacifist, he also kind of fucking hates Logan, and I really don't think even pacifist Simon wouldn't tell Logan to get the fuck out of his face here.

(also, Simon is like 6'2. What the hell is Logan standing on to make him seem so tall?)

And I know for a fact that Percy hasn't read these issues because it doesn't make any sense to write Hank the way he does if he actually has this much knowledge... BUT. But. It does stand out to me how willing Simon was to put himself in front of that gun/nuke thing, because Simon has done that before, and he has died from it. He dies in issue one of Force Works to protect earth from the Kree Ionic Cannon, which comes across as a reference to the comic event Operation: Galactic Storm, where Simon fails to stop a bomb going off that kills many Kree soldiers and this trauma permanently changes the tone of the 1991 Wonder Man series.

Simon has become someone very willing to sacrifice himself to protect other people, because the fear of being responsible for so many deaths has outweighed his fear of dying himself. Anyway, after Force Works, we see Simon's funeral in Tales of the Marvels: Wonder Years, and Hank is briefly interviewed and shown at that funeral, and he looks absolutely miserable.

And it is just... does Beast Prime remember this? Remember how difficult it was to lose his best friend? Hank becomes increasingly reclusive and focused on curing the legacy virus at the expense of his friendships during the 90s; is this part of this? Does this influence just how quick of a decision it was, to put himself and his life in front of Simon once again sacrificing himself for the benefit of others?

As I said, I do not think Ben has read either Force Works or Wonder Years, because why would you read those for this and not any Hank McCoy comic ever, but it does remind me of those moments and there's just. a lot of parallels there I enjoy.

However, I do feel frustrated slightly by the decision made to literally blow up Hank from the 80s–2020s? That's 40 years, and a lot of people have contributed to Hank in that time. Morrison, Whedon, Lobdell, Gillen, Waid, Ewing, Wells, Claremont, and hell, even people who's Hank's I don't like very much, like Bendis or Fraction, they all still had at least something to contribute to the character and it feels wrong that so much of that history is just. gone. Is Percy's writing worth this loss? Has he made any interesting statements about Hank McCoy as a character to justify steamrolling over 40 years of history and established lore and character development? Abigail Brand, gone from Hank's memory. His time travel shenanigans, gone. Dark Beast, a vague comment. Breaking through the door of Avengers mansion to kiss Simon on the floor and give him red roses, also gone. Becoming feline, to the sands of time. It's just depressing that so much has been cut out because writing an actual redemption arc would require having positive thoughts about Hank and we know Percy doesn't have those. I suppose I'm also just generally against the idea that villains have to die to be redeemed, anyway; is it not more interesting and more complex when someone has done so many horrible things as Hank had done under Percy, and he still is capable of change? Why can he only prove that capability in death? It feels like a very lazy way out and I really hope MacKay or someone gives Hank those memories back because so many wonderful and interesting dynamics have been lost because of it and I don't want them just to roll over it as if it hasn't happened.

But it does still really stand out that. Hank was willing to give everything up for Simon, and Simon specifically. Simon was the first person Defenders era Beast could think of that would make things better, that he felt safe talking to, and Simon is the one and only person Beast Prime was willing to die for, to put all the rest of his motivations and impulses on hold for and give up his life because he couldn't bare to lose his friend again.

And now the new Hank is living in Simon's small, one bed flat in L.A.

He's not helping the X-Men fight Orchis or the sentinels, or help X-Force with the Sabertooth problem... no, he's followed Simon to L.A. despite being covered in fur. That's true love if I've ever seen it.

It is also absolutely hysterical how little X-Force did in their own finale. Because did Hank give up his life because he felt regret over what he did for them? Did they successfully inspire change or successfully stop him in any way other than drag a sentinel to bother Simon and Hank? No! They didn't do anything! Logan stabbed Beast Prime but that didn't stop him, Simon being at risk and being in danger did! The combined forces of X-Force and a giant sentinel are not enough to stop Hank McCoy but the actor from Arkon IV is. Not because Simon even spoke to Beast Prime, or because he's thought about Simon once in the past 5 years, but because it was impulsive. Hank loves Simon so deeply that he will give his life for him even at his very worst, even after 5+ years of no contact and no thoughts about him. That's the actual closing statement of X-Force. How much Hank McCoy would do anything for this d list lame actor/underwear model.

Boysband AU headcanons (4ggravate) 2

Friendly reminder that English is not my first language. You can check my Masterlists both in English and Polish here.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, 4ggravate is the Sumeru guys who started a boyband. It comes from the same series as the widely known in the fandom 4nemo.

Working with idol groups involves trends changing like in a kaleidoscope. When 4ggravate entered the scene, it quickly became clear that they would conquer the world. Your label, after the huge success of 4nemo, decided to take another boys under their wing. You didn't know then how much work you would have to put into promoting them on the market...

Kaveh

✧ The most expressive member of the group. You'd even say it makes up for everyone else in this regard.

✧ Always there if you need to record additional video or behind-the-scenes content. This is what his fans see most often and he is the most into social media.

✧ It also has its downsides. Kaveh can be dramatic to the point where it's annoying. If he feels like it, he will walk out of the meeting with the film crew, complaining and slamming the door. Unfortunately, it will often be up to you to bring him back to finish the ad.

✧ He and Alhaitham are constantly arguing, which was a shock to you because they've known each other the longest out of the team. You usually try not to take sides or take turns so that neither of the two will take offense at you.

✧ Kaveh will dance, play, sing... He will fill any role if need be and he will be good at it. However, he feels the best while playing instruments.

✧ He studied architecture and constantly reminds that he knows art. However, this is not idle talk. He happens to come up with brilliant ideas about clothes or scenery while shooting music videos.

✧ Drinks secretly outside the studio. He almost got busted once when someone from the management decided to come to the apartment to hand over the documents but you just arrived before them and managed to put the can in your purse at the last minute.

✧ He wanted to thank you somehow and gave you the keychain. He once bought some handmade ones. He gives them only to exceptional people in his opinion.

Cyno

✧ He as an innate sense of justice. You can be sure that if anyone sees someone hurt, it will definitely be Cyno. He never stands aside. He immediately confronts who he needs to, which often put his career on the line. He would probably be willing to sacrifice it for the greater good. For example, he points it out to the older employees if they use younger ones on the set. He does it even at the cost of unpleasantness towards him. He has earned a reputation as unapproachable and stickler among industry associates.

✧ He loves to play cards. He collects entire collections of them. His favorite card game is TCG Genius Invocation. It got you interested enough to get into it. He's very happy about that because being in 4ggravate has made it a bit difficult for him to find someone he can physically play with without spreading rumors. He loves to explain the new rules to you and show you what he has hunted for his collection.

✧ There was a time when, like Kaveh, he argued with Alhaitham. Whatever happened, one day he came back changed. Since then, they've at least respected each other and making your life a little easier.

✧ He is often given rap parts to sing. Mainly because of his low voice.

✧ Fans marvel at how different he can be. The media tried to create his image as quite dark. This is how new fans often see him. Meanwhile, when they spend a little time with him, they understand that this is not the case at all.

✧ A dedicated Cyno fan site was created to collect his jokes. They are very dry. Some people even send him their suggestions for him to tell on streams.

Alhaitham

✧ Alhaitham believes in peace and quiet. You asked him once why he stayed at 4ggravate then. He replied that in this way he would earn enough to have money for his dream life for a long time. He calculated it all. He even showed you the entire spreadsheet on the computer.

✧ You don't know how he does it but he's learning all the time. Be it from books or from various types of courses. Ask him anything, about everything. He will always have an answer.

✧ He writes the lyrics of the songs. With no exception. He has a gift for words. He always knows how to put them together to use rhymes or puns. Composing is not his strong point, so the worst moment is when he has to collaborate with Kaveh, who is better in this field. Not that he would ever admit it.

✧ If he could, he would avoid interviews and meetings with fans. He doesn't like any of these activities. He goes mostly because he has to. For this reason, he does not have as many fans as Kaveh, but he is not very interested in it. The people who choose him as their favorite are usually those who are deeply interested in his words and where he draws inspiration from. And they always get accurate and in-depth answers that make him their number one forever.

✧ He does not part with the headphones. So much so that it became his sign. One time Kaveh took it for fun when he wasn't looking and broke them. You didn't want them to fight again, so you took the blame and returned it to him after it was fixed. He immediately knew it wasn't you and made you promise not to take the blame on yourself again. Despite this, the next day, there were notes on your desk regarding the marketing strategy for the next quarter. Interestingly, better than you'd ever do yourself...

Tighnari

✧ Tighnari has a very sensitive musical ear. Thanks to this, he remembers songs extremely quickly, especially new ones and perfectly matches the rhythm by dancing. He is usually praised above all for his flawless choreography.

✧ The boy is vegan. He deeply believes in unity with nature. In his opinion, there is no need to use animals in this way. Half of his social media consists of this.

✧ Helped launch an eco-friendly line of stuffed animals called Aranara. He gave you one of his first pieces as a thank you for helping with their publicity campaign.

✧ He lives in the belief that being an idol will allow him to convey certain values to his fans. He attaches great importance to the educational aspect. He often comes up with themes for new albums and is able to cleverly combine them with previous or subsequent ones.

✧ Tighnari is known for his sarcastic statements, which is why interviewers love him. He skillfully sweeps them away and hits remarks back, making them borderline controversial. Their viewership is really high.

✧ Hates the heat. You used to shoot scenes for a music video in the desert. You remember that he was perfectly prepared then. That's not to say he didn't complain about the heat but he was one of the few members on set who didn't get sunstroke. He reminded you regularly to drink plenty of water and lent you his hat.

✧ At the beginning of his career, he received a headband with rabbit ears from his younger friend Collei. When they were younger, they attended several survival camps organized by their school together. To this day, she is his biggest fan. Tighnari only pulls out these ears on special occasions.

Loki Season 2 Ending Thoughts Aka Immediate Reaction and Midnight Ramblings

OKAY BUT LIKE YOU GUYS

I ACTUALLY FINALLY GOT AROUND TO WATCHING LOKI SEASON 2 AND FRICKIN LOVED THE LAST 2 EPS SO MUCH????

LOKI FINALLY GETTING TO BE THE POWERFUL HERO WE ALL KNEW HE COULD BE IN AN EPICALLY UNFORGETTABLE FASHION OF UNFATHOMABLE MAGNITUDE? (and cough actually be the main character in his own show this time around?)

THE BEAUTY? THE TRAGEDY? THE LITERAL AND MOST UNIRONIC MANIFESTATION OF HIS ICONIC “BURDENED WITH GLORIOUS PURPOSE” LINE?

The score? The costume design? The fulfilling emotional devastation?

Like I 100% get people being sad/mad about Loki ending up alone on a throne he never wanted but like…Loki was always a tragic character. Iirc Tom has likened Thor 1 to a space opera/tragedy particularly in regards to Loki’s character, but this does him infinitely better than falling into a void, alone, misunderstood, friendless.

This time he doesn’t let go because he has no purpose—he chooses to walk forward to meet his fate because he’s found it. Both purpose, and friends, and love, even understanding, and dang if that don’t just sit so right with me. I thought it was a beautiful ending that did him much more justice than the last ditch hopeless kind of what-were-you-even-thinking-would-happen sacrifice/death in Infinity War. We actually get to see the fruits of his character development in what immediately became the coolest scene in recent Marvel history.

Sue me, but I love the tragedy and angst of it all. The sacrifice. The love and friendship he found and was willing to give up—and the thing is you guys, he found it. That’s not something we ever thought we’d get to see, not after Thor 1, nor after Thor 2, nor 3, certainly not after Avengers and obviously not after Infinity War.

I still think season 1 of Loki just…was not doing a great job understanding his character, but heck if season 2 didn’t come in clutch and amend some of that.

Can we also talk about how much I love time travel? How much I adore time loops? How dang good one looked on Loki? I go absolutely feral for a time looper knowing absolutely everything because they’ve lived through it a million times.

I have too many thoughts and feelings about this much like UGH YOU GUYS this was such an improvement over season 1 you don’t even know and high key I’d be fine if this is where they left Loki’s character for good and was our final goodbye. He’s legit the most powerful character in the MCU to date now, 1000% lived up to his god of chaos name while even being a hero doing it, giving everyone free will and all variants a chance to live as they choose and sacrificing himself to make sure they have a choice and yes it’s tragic but it’s also beautiful and gosh darn it that character arc that ending Loki finally figuring out what he wants after having had it and then giving it all up for the sake of everyone else—AAAA YOU GUYS ITS SO GOOD

Alex always reminds his grandmother about Farmers' gluten intolerance, as Evelyn often cooks pies, donuts, and other sweet pastries for a visiting guest at their house.

Paranoidly checks all utensils the Farmer will eat and drink with, making sure the cutlery has not previously touched wheat bread or similar food.

Fast as lightning, he is ready to carry the Farmer in his arms to Harvey's clinic if they get sick from accidentally eating bread.

Alex keeps track of his diet, because he is going to become a sports star, so if the Farmer wants, he will help with the diet (in consultation with Dr. Harvey, of course).

Although sometimes it is difficult for him to refuse the delicious pastries of his granny.

The Farmer doesn't want Alex to limit himself in this, but the athlete is seriously worried about the health of his friend (crush)/partner.

George benefits from it all ("More food for me!" "Grandpa...")

Elliott:

Oh goodness! Elliott didn't know about it.

But it's good that the Farmer told him about their gluten intolerance. He would not want to hurt his close friend because of his and ignorance.

"Excuse me, my friend, I'll leave you for a moment. Make yourself at home in my little cabin."

Elliott ran as fast as he could towards the Saloon.

"Gus, emergency! The table for two is still stands, but gluten-free meals must be served! This is important! Don't even touch the baked goods please, I beg you! I can't let them go to the hospital because of me, I can handle it if something bad happened to them! Goodness me!"

Gus knew from the first minute that the dishes needed to be served gluten-free, but the emotional writer still continued to punish himself for not knowing about Farmer's illness.

"He's a fine drama actor, alright" Gus thought, pretending he was still listening to the dramatic writer.

Elliott is willing to sacrifice his favorite crab cakes to keep the Farmer happy and healthy.

"I can make them without flour, just have something to replace."

"Gus, why didn't you say that! Then I order, for me and my partne-, I mean, a good friend! Oh, marvelous!"

Any whim at your expense, Mr. Writer.

Sam:

The Farmer has never eaten pizza?!

Sam is saddened by the realization that because of the coeliac, the Farmer is unable to taste the food of the gods, the great invention of mankind, the food without which almost none of his rehearsals with Abigail and Sebastian take place.

"Dude, it's just pizza." "Just pizza?! Seb, how can you say that!"

But without pizza-drama, Sam is now very careful about this information.

He doesn't give the Farmer any snack that has gluten in it.

Sam will tell his mom about it, in case the Farmer comes to visit and the musician himself is not there.

He also asks her if there is a recipe for gluten-free pizza.

"Because man, pizza is a great human creation that everyone need to try. And no intolerance should prevent people from being happy!"

(Sammy, it's just pizza)

Luckily for him, Jodi just happened to have a gluten-free recipe book. And, lo and behold, the pizza recipe is there too!

Jodi made it especially for the Farmer, as the Farmer is also her friend, a real sweetheart, and Sam seems to like them a lot ;) ("Mom!")

The pizza was really tasty. And the Farmer can safely eat it with Sam without fear for their health.

Indeed, the food of the gods!

Harvey:

Oh, Harvey understands Farmer very well. And not only as their doctor, but also as another person who doesn't tolerate gluten.

Friend or partner, he will never forget this when cooking if the Farmer dropped by to visit Harvey. He also doesn't forget about this when dispensing medicines and vitamins if the Farmer has caught a cold or other illness.

If they feel bad about accidentally eating a cookie, then Harvey will immediately come running to their call.

No wonder Harvey is very concerned about Farmer's health - he's a doctor after all, and the effects of coeliac can be very unpleasant (and sometimes life-threatening).

He still doesn't ever lose his temper if there's an emergency, so Harvey's friend (or spouse) is in safe hands.

The doctor is sorry that this disease is incurable. But it's not even that he and the Farmer can't eat pastries (Harvey dislike sweets and pies anyway, preferring vegetables and healthier food). It's just that even the slightest touch of your cutlery with gluten food can provoke an exacerbation of symptoms.

But he will keep an eye on this as often as possible, and the Farmer will also remind Harvey of this if he gets busy and accidentally reaches for a box of biscuits in Pierre's store, confusing it with a box of rice.

Shane:

Coel-what? Can you repeat again?

It took Shane a little longer to figure out what the disease was. So the Farmer can't eat anything with gluten or they'll get sick?

"...Listen, I recently had a burger and pizza in the Saloon, and my hands are still a little dirty after eating. Should I move away from you?"

Shane immediately moved a meter away from the Farmer when they confirmed that cross contamination could also be a problem.

The Farmer feels guilty after this, but Shane told them not to worry about it. After all, it is not their fault that they are gluten intolerant.

"Maybe I fucked my own health, but I don't want to harm other people's health. I'm not a complete asshole."

Before meeting with the Farmer, he began to wash his hands more often.

Sometimes he will defend the Farmer at the fair if someone persistently offers the Farmer to taste the pastries.

Also, eggs don't contain gluten, so they can make a good launch for a guest who comes to Marnie's Ranch (or for a spouse's breakfast)

His chickens will never let you down. Good girls!

Sebastian:

"Oh, sorry..."

"Sebby, what are you sorry for?"

Well, doesn't that mean it will restrict his friend the Farmer from growing certain crops, like wheat, for example? It's just... sad.

Moreover, he just wanted to invite the Farmer to his basement for another Solarion Chronicles: The Game with snacks. But Sam always brings pizza and Abigail brings blueberry cobbler...

No, he doesn't want it to limit his friendship with the Farmer because of that. Therefore, Sebastian still invites the Farmer, promising that he will arrange everything.

Fortunately, Sam and Abby were sympathetic to the situation and prepared gluten-free snacks, since there was a lot of choice.

Although Sam was still a little dramatic. "They've never had pizza?! It's -" "Sam, shut up already."

The board game sessions were just as fun, and the seeki were delicious too.

Sebastian will now henceforth remember Farmer's coeliac. He also wanted to ask them out on a date- uh, he mean just have some fun time in the Saloon, play pool, maybe walk around the city after...

"A night with billiards and no pizza? Is this even legal? :D" "SAM!!!"

Percy Jackson Episode 4 Thoughts!!

Right. Slightly more coherent than before.

Plot:

- Very close to the book, tho I like the lean towards making the Echidna fight more suspenseful than it is in the musical or the book.

(Even if it is a shame to cut the Chimera/Chihuahua joke I think this is a great move away from undermining the tension with comedy in the way that Marvel does.

- Love the stuff with Annabeth and the cops. Her standing up to them is both poignant with current politics and does a great job to show her bravery and how out of touch with the mortal world she is, forgetting she's 12 because she's been in camp for so long.

- I'm really interested in the fact they are taking so long to set up the Grover backstory and Pan stuff. I like how much weight they are giving it.

- also congrats kids. You blew up a bus AND a train AND the gateway arch. I couldn't be prouder.

-also, (I may be wrong and correct me if I am) but I believe they changed Echidna's motivation from trying to push Percy to test his powers, to avenging some super pissed off gods. And I think that it tightens the story by doing so. It makes the gods unlikable and you can really stand and empathize with [Book spoiler] Luke's motivations.

Characterisations:

Grover:

Man are they going off with Grover. Similarly to being, cutting some of his comedy for meaningful moments is fantastic.

You really feel a depth to him which was maybe lacked in the musical and books. I adore how they are weaving in his bravery and levelhead too, it feels a tad more mature than with Percy and Annabeth and that makes absolute sense. He's done this before and boy can you feel how scared of messing up he is.

Also also. I adore how the writers have established a relationship between Grover and Annabeth as well as Grover and Percy. The books could never really elaborate on that because we have Percy's POV and so he'd miss that in places. But the show is doing great with my boi Grover!

Additionally, as an environmentalist myself, I'm happy they are weaving that in a way that feels organic. Great writing and acting choices all around especially with Aryan Simhadri who is killing it.

Annabeth:

Man does this episode sink it's teeth into her characterisation. I love how we are getting a thorough elaboration on her feelings to the Gods and Athena. And Oh boi is she the opposite to Luke. She craves her mother's admiration and... She's not seeing it. It's a great choice because it highlights how hands off the gods are and that the system NEEDS to change.

I also like how they tied that desperation for validation into her hubris. It's still pride her. But it's pride in her mother. And man, the pride with her plan feeding into her being self sacrificial reminds you so hard that they are all just kids.

Also, where would I be if I didn't mention how good the moments with Percy are. Him teasing her and getting a genuine laugh was beautiful. I love the chemistry for all of these actors.

Percy:

I love this idiot. He's so angry and scared and also funny. God, I love the nuance being brought to him. I love the genuine fear that he has facing the Chimera and being arrested by the cops. I also love how Walker Scobell sells the anger at the gods for implicating his friends in his actions to send Medusa's head. Great stuff.

Additionally, I love the moment on the bridge, this idiot (smart but brash) pulling a self sacrifice on the bridge feeds so well into his undying loyalty to a fault. Willing to trick his friends into letting him die, to save them is a very Percy thing. I also enjoy how they haven't made Percy stupid, whilst keeping Annabeth still more strategic than him, by having him basically just steal her plan.

Also the soft stuff in this episode fucking ruled. The train car joking, him cheering Annabeth up with a stupid voice. The little asides.

Overall, god I love these dumb kids. And this show has made me start rereading the books!!!! Am I hyperfixating again??! Never!!!

Writing prompt 17:

ClockWork opens the thermos as Danny revokes his human identity to remains on the throne with no kick back from his subjects. A sacrifice he is willing to make to keep peace with the supernatural beings who serve him from interfering with human lives.

The dark timeline that never happened is terrified to find himself free, only staring at the master of time as he speaks.

"I believe it is time for you to have a true life. Daniel has revoked his human identity and agreed to let you now have it so you many travel the world."

It's hard to believe this would happen but it is true, Danny whole heartedly wanting his future self to live a life he can no longer. He can't replace him, but he can use his place to do more with himself.

The rehabilitation is hard and Dan learns a lot of control so he can be around humans. Finding that the comfort of his sister and lost family are a great aid to his new mission to live his life to the fullest.

He travels through dimensions to watch the incredible sights like the warriors of the Amazon islands and Superman doing his daily rounds.

He ends up in Gotham and finds a spot to sit and watch the human heroes travel through the night. Finding himself drawing them as they cross the city to deal with the issues they face.

Bruce brings up the boy he noticed in the next JL meeting and learns he's been watching them all with a look of complete wonder, marveled by the world they live in. He decides to do some research when getting back.

❀ vocalist and dancer who trained for 4 years before debuting in le sserafim. she’s the ‘middle child’ of her group and the supposed reason for sakura’s grey hairs. yunjin’s the funny one in her group just not to her members because they don’t get her american ass jokes. to fans though she’s the american who’s chronically online and borderline an ipad kid so of course she’s fairly popular. instead of actually addressing her feelings she writes them in songs then never thinks about them again.

❀ vocalist and dancer who debuted in japan nearly 13 years ago, then in korea around 6 years ago, and again in korea with le sserafim. honestly, she’s just a tired wine mom with 4 kids at this point. she prioritizes taking care of all of her members and sometimes a little more than herself, but that’s something she’s willing to sacrifice if it means her girls are happy. she’s only been in one committed relationship which is a little disjointed right now, tbh she doesn’t even know what’s going on between the two of them. as the oldest member she’s made fun of for being of the loop on nearly every trend but surprises her members every now and again.

❀ leader and vocal who trained for 10 months before her first debut then trained again for about 9 month before debuting in le sserafim. sakura knows her best since they’ve known each other the longest. when it comes to her relationships she has none because she’s the most awkward and dorky mf known to man when a pretty girl comes around…so yeah she has no game. what she does have is a staring problem.

❀ dancer and rapper who trained for 12 weeks before making her debut with her members. girlie is an ex-ballerina and her company will not let anyone forget about it…ever. she has literally no interest in dating to the point where she forgets people actually want to date her and laughs when she gets asked out because she thinks its a joke. she’s the second youngest and along with yunjin drains the life out of chaewon like it’s a hobby. sometimes she pretends she doesn’t understand korean so she can eavesdrop on conversations.

❀ dancer and vocalist who trained for 6 months before debuting in le sserafim. she’s the youngest and her group’s pride and joy. whenever she does anything her members already have phones out to take pictures while they marvel over her just breathing. eunchae is so energetic it’s like she runs on lithium batteries, but nobody complains. she’s the actual reason for sakura’s grey hairs.
