🍄 Mario and Luigi headcanons 🍄 (Because I'm bored. lol)
⦁ Luigi has a huge fear of spiders. He can not sleep if there's a spider in his bedroom, even if it's way up by the ceiling. If he finds a spider in the house, he runs to Mario and forces him to kill it. The only way he can handle killing one is by smacking it with a shoe, and even then he rarely does it.
⦁ Being the food lover that he is, Mario is very good at cooking. He makes really good homemade pizza and spaghetti, as well as a few other Italian dishes. However, he isn't very good at baking, and tends to burn or totally mess up cookies and any other baked goods he tries to make.
⦁ Luigi is a decent cook. The food he makes usually turns out good, but he is known for messing things up a lot. (ex. crunchy under-cooked rice, mushy pasta, watery soup.) He also likes to experiment with his cooking, often coming up with really weird dishes that usually aren't very good.
⦁ When Luigi has a nightmare, he'll sometimes crawl into Mario's bed with him for comfort and safety.
⦁ Mario tends to fall asleep in strange places throughout the house. Sometimes Luigi walks into the kitchen and Mario's sleeping between the microwave cart and the fridge. Sometimes he's sleeping behind the chair in the living room. Sometimes he's sleeping under his bed instead of ON it.
⦁ Luigi is extremely ticklish. All it takes is a very light touch to the back of his neck, or a gentle poke to his ribs, and he'll turn into a giggly pile of mush. He's very self conscious about it and gets easily embarrassed if someone tickles him. Mario likes to take advantage of Luigi's ticklishness, often tickling him if he misbehaves or if Luigi refuses to do something important. Sometimes he'll tickle Luigi just to annoy him. When Luigi gets tickled for longer than a minute, his voice tends to get super squeaky and high pitched, which makes him all the more embarrassed. He's ticklish ALL over, which leaves him completely defenseless against tickles and makes him an easy target.
⦁ Mario is also pretty ticklish, but not as much as Luigi. He's able to hold his laughter while being tickled, which makes people think he's not ticklish. He has a weird ticklish spot behind his ears, and if you give it a little scratch/tickle, he'll instantly go into a laughing fit. He's also very ticklish on his feet, and can not stand having foot rubs/massages. If he's tickled for extended periods of time, his laughter turns super goofy, ranging from squeaky ohohohohoho's to wild cackling.
⦁ Mario is better at video games than Luigi. He often beats him in racing and fighting games, and is usually better at platformers than him. Luigi however, is better at puzzle games (ex. Dr. Mario, Tetris, Puyo Puyo, etc.), often beating Mario.
⦁ Luigi is terrible at math and failed his math classes more than once.
⦁ Sometimes wild animals will follow Mario around while he's out walking. (ex. bunnies, squirrels, chipmunks, etc.) On more than one occasion he has brought a wild animal into the house, trying to convince Luigi to let him keep it because it's "his friend" and it "needs him".
⦁ Luigi loves to tell jokes, usually dad jokes/puns. Usually his jokes don't make much sense, and the only one who laughs at them most of the time is Mario. (no one knows if he's laughing at them cause he finds them funny, or if he's just being a supportive big brother and laughing so Luigi doesn't feel bad.)
⦁ Mario and Luigi love to give hugs to their friends/each other. Their hugs are super nice and comforting, like hugging a big teddy bear. You never want to let go.
⦁ Mario smells like fresh cologne and clean linen. Luigi smells like Irish Spring soap and Degree Sport deodorant.
⦁ Luigi loves plushes. As a kid, his mother used to buy a plush for him almost every time she went to the store. He still has all his plushes stored safely in the attic.
⦁ Instead of plushes, Mario was a big fan of racecars as a child, and when his mother used to buy Luigi plushes, she'd also buy Mario toy cars, which are also stored safely in the attic.
⦁ Mario is very good at singing. He is able to hit both high and low notes due to his vocal range.
⦁ When Luigi speaks to Daisy, he tends to stutter and fidget more frequently, while also avoiding eye contact, due to his massive crush on her.
⦁ Luigi is an ugly crier. When he cries, his eyes get all red and bloodshot, and his nose runs like crazy. He's also prone to hysterical sobbing that sounds so heart-wrenching, it sometimes makes Mario cry as well while he tries to comfort his little bro.
⦁ Mario is good with kids. The kids in the Mushroom Kingdom love playing with him, playing tag, hide-and-seek, etc. He's also close to their height since he's so short, making him more fun to play with than any of the other adults.

I want to like Rhaenicent but I feel like Alicent protects Rhaenyra and cares for her way more than Rhaenyra does for her. Adult Rhaenicent seems rather one sided to me ngl. One way Rhaenyra betrayed Alicent was by marrying Daemon, a man who absolutely despises the Hightowers and who wouldn’t hesitate to slaughter Alicent’s children. Does Rhaenyra really not realize how ruthless Daemon is? Daemon is arguably the biggest threat to the Green kids who are Rhaenyra’s own siblings. It just kills me that Alicent stood up to her abuser for Rhaenyra’s life in 1x09 and Rhaenyra has never done anything of that severity for Alicent. And Rhaenyra will likely never know how much Alicent fought to save her. Idk, I just feel like Alicent deserves someone who will love her completely. I can’t see Rhaenyra being that person with the way she’s disregarded Alicent’s worries and feelings.
I'm going to be totally honest and I say this with love... a lot of it becomes easily justifiable for me when i acknowledge that Rhaenyra is just a bit dense. like shes always been sheltered and naive, to the point of genuine stupidity sometimes. she isnt inherently so but her father stomped all over her developing any kind of critical mind early on and she did nothing to overcome that mistake. she became far too comfortable with Viserys waving his crown and magic-ing her problems away and its just a fact shes never managed to see things from alicents perspective... but that doesnt mean alicent isnt as equally important to her as she is to alicent. please bear with me because i promise i will explain this fully.
but first of all, to answer your question 'does rhaenyra not realise how ruthless daemon is?' I mean, giving her the benefit of the doubt ...maybe not? shes pretty much always always seen the best side of daemon. with viserys. with her. with their children. what does she know of daemons genuine ruthlessness? we cant say for sure. once again, giving her the full benefit of the doubt, we dont even know if rhaenyras aware that daemon murdered rhea. like daemons not exactly gonna bring it up and who else would dare suggest that to her of all people? sure shes seen him fight at tourneys she knows hes capable of killing but thats a controlled enviroment where its expected. and she clearly feels safe enough with him personally otherwise she wouldnt have laughed in his face after her grabbed her neck.
its going to be very interesting to see what they do with B&C for this reason. because if rhaenyra isnt involved, at least in the Details... will she be shocked by what daemon is capable of? depends on what version of rhaenyra we get post-luke i suppose. but i dont know if i believe they're likely to have her go That dark so quickly that she'd agree to B&C. (sorry. tangent.)
imo you have to try and see her perspective - rhaenyra is deeply Confused. she thought for many years alicent just suddenly Hated her on the basis of her /loose morals/, like purely hated her, the girl she loved is Gone overnight right when they'd begun to reconcile, and she couldnt really understand why. she just does not understand alicents perspective and she cant begin to fathom alicents situation. and in a way, how could she? shes never faced similar limitations theres an argument to be made she wouldnt be able to even conceptualise it without alicent taking her by the hand and walking her through it. even when they were friends i doubt rhaenyra thought about the privileges she held over alicent (after all, she was a child, it was just what she knew and as far as she could see alicent got to do everything she did so there was no visual imbalance). from rhaenyras point of view, all those years alicent was being unnecessarily antagonistic over something that didnt effect her. this girl she loved and in rhaenyras eyes she is betraying her again and again and again. and rhaenyra thought all that because she couldnt see the bigger picture. how could she begin to understand 'alicent fears what my reign could mean for her children' when viserys actively disencouraged her political interest - her opinion on that point would likely only be 'well obviously i would make sure nothing happened to them', not understanding that That isnt the reassurance she thinks it is.
so yeah. rhaenyra truly doesnt understand what went on or whats going on. but alicent Does (and this imbalance is perfectly demonstrated by the dialogue in the knife scene because, lets be honest, alicent pins down the situation and how rhaenyra fits into it kind of perfectly... whereas rhaenyra incorrectly attributes alicents rage to 'righteousness', not fear.). and personally i think thats why it seems unbalanced or one sided, especially in episode 8. alicent could afford to be genuine, rhaenyra isnt hard to read, whereas rhaenyra still had her guard up because she was just so fucking confused lmao. she briefly saw the gentle, beautiful, kind girl she was in love with in alicents treatment of a dying viserys at the dinner table - and upon realising alicent actually Does still have that side to her rhaenyra doesnt know what to do except subtlety apologise for perhaps not truly Seeing alicent and for accusing her of trying to harm viserys. she thought the alicent she knew was long dead until that moment - the girl has got emotional whiplash. so its not that rhaenyra loves alicent less. her reactions in episode 10 make it very clear there is still A Lot going on there for her (and we know emma d'arcy's pov on it was that rhaenyra genuinely considers conceding the throne with the hope of alicent 'taking her back'). shes just very very Very muddled about whether the current version of alicent is Still the person she loves...
and i think maybe 'love' is the wrong word for what they have when theres so much piled on top but its definitely a devotion. its this constant need to reconcile and be close that they just cant shake because a part of them will always desire the other.
tl;dr rhaenyra is just... kinda dumb god bless. and their imbalance is in their ability to understand the situation, not in the amount of love thats held.
(besides they were never exactly going to be a healthy equal deserving love thats not the point of them imo. they are a missed opportunity. a greek tragedy. starcrossed lovers. etc)

okay ghoap w spanish speaking reader who is completely off guard when they curse them out in spanish and they answer ?? back in spanish ??? like shes slightly impressed and its so OBVIOUS that she’s impressed. most def still curses them out in spanish forgetting that these white men speak spanish… (bc i too as a mexican b forgetting that too) like imagine it going a little too far and ghost just grabbing her by her jaw and forcing her to repeat it again and johnny is just pouting bc he wants to treat his pet so well but you’re making it so hard :((
ughhh she'd be so cocky speaking to them in spanish, thinking she's got them - they wanted her to talk, well she is, not her fault they can't understand. finally thinks she's got a win
then i feel like it goes one of two ways:
(a) johnny snaps back in spanish too, and you basically do the shocked pikachu face. he laughs right in your face, leans all close and goes "think you got me, huh?" in spanish, and simon's right there over your shoulder, growling in that horrendous british accent-ed spanish right in your ear, "not that easy, love." the two of them all smirky cause they got you to speak again, you're all pouty because you really thought you had them this time :(
(b) they don't tell you they speak spanish, just let you rant and rave away, mostly finding amusement in your anger and the fact that you're speaking without reserve because you think they can't understand. but then you say something that takes it a step too far, and simon's right there instantly. got a hand on your jaw, cheeks pinched so you look like a fish. he's growling right in your face, in spanish of course, "say it again." and you're shocked, standing there without being able to speak until he gives a rough shake, maybe a smack on the ass. "i said, say it again." so you try - but the way he's got your cheeks held, you can't really say anything :/ so he just goes "huh? can't understand you sweetheart. go again." and you just whine, cause he's being so mean :( and johnny's right there, chin hooked over your shoulder and he's speaking in spanish too, going, "aw, don't be so mean to her, Si. she's tryin' her best." and nuzzling into you :( feels like your world is turned on it's head
i think johnny has a love hate relationship with seeing simon be mean to you. it totally gets him off, but he also wants to pamper you and be sweet to you. gets him all confused in the head sometimes :/

Yandere Mom!Wanda trying to kidnap Reader from another universe, because she misses her baby pleaseeee
I love that!
Baby Mine (Yandere Mom!Wanda Maximoff x Reader) (Potential MoM spoilers ahead! Read at your own discretion!)
Tumblr media
*Not my GIF
Summary: Wanda had long accepted that she wouldn't be able to get her children back, yet she refused to accept having no one to love.
You had long accepted that you would always be the outcast of your family, yet you refused to accept that there was no hope.
What happens when she spies you whilst viewing other universes?
(CW: Potential ableism, (I'd like to make it autistic and non-autistic inclusive if I can. It could be read as the reader being autistic, having severe trauma, or both because quite a few trauma symptoms overlap with some autism symptoms) self-harm, abuse, yelling, angst, hurt/comfort, mentions of death, MoM spoilers, (sorry, I forgot to put this as a content warning, please don’t hate me am fragile nugget)
Author's Note: Someone wrote a reply to my "Wanda's your next door neighbor" imagine that they "totally haven't reread it a concerning amount of times." And it makes me realize just how many of us use fanfics to fill the voids in our lives....(fuck, now I'm tearing up) So while yandere fics aren't usually supposed to be a good thing, I think taking the reader from an abusive family to give them the love they deserve may be the exception.
I'm also bringing in another character or two.
“Baby mine, don't you cry Baby mine, dry your eyes Rest your head close to my heart Never to part, baby of mine.”
Wanda wakes up in her little cabin, alone as always. Her face is stained with tear tracks. Billy and Tommy had appeared in her dreams again, and while she missed them terribly, she'd given up her search.
"Know that they'll be loved..."
She knows.....yet it doesn't fill the hole in her heart.
After spending some more time in bed, she gets up and gets dressed before making herself some tea with her breakfast. Everyday just seems to drag on now that she's resigned herself to this fate. And yet, there's still this little spark of hope that she may find something or someone to love, someone that she won't lose.
With that little spark of hope, she goes about her day until she decides to use some magic to view other universes. It's not necessarily dream-walking, it's more like just being an observer without leaving the universe you're in.
For some time, she comes up empty-handed. But suddenly, she spies....someone.
===========
"Ah!"
You cry out as your mother confronts you with your report card.
"What is this?" she snaps, practically punching it with her finger.
You look to see that B+ in Science, sticking out of the sea of As like a sore thumb.
"It's....it's a B+," you say.
"Yeah, a B+."
"It's.....it's still passing...." you defend weakly.
"It's barely passing!" she snaps. "You're not applying yourself. You need to stop being so lazy and actually try for once in your life!"
"But....but I--"
"SHUT UP!"
You wince as her voice punches your ear drums.
"I didn't raise you to be a lazy brat! Are you even studying?"
"I-I am....but I still don't understand--"
"I don't want to hear your excuses."
She huffs.
"I give you a roof over your head, clothes to wear, food to eat, and all I ask is for you to do well in school and help out around the house. I don't think that's too much to ask, but how do you repay me? By sitting on your ass all day doing fuck-all! Do you know how hard I work to raise you all by myself?! And where were you?! You didn't come home on the normal bus!"
"I-I was staying back to get help for Science," you reply meekly.
"Liar!" Your mother snaps. "You were out with some punks, weren't you?"
"No! I wasn't, I promise."
"Likely story."
Suddenly your mother pinches down on your ear and yanks you up to your room.
"Ungrateful, useless brat! Stop that whimpering or else I'll give you something to cry about."
She drags you to your bedroom and pushes you inside to the ground before throwing your backpack at you as well, hitting you in the back. The textbook corner in your backpack hammers on your spine and you wince.
"Stay in here and study, you stupid bitch."
She loudly slams the door shut before you hear a click. She's locked you in. After a few minutes, you sit up weakly and sit on your floor. The tears fall silently as you bite down on your arm.
"Every day...." you squeak as you rock on the floor. "Every day I hope for someone to take me away from this hell hole....I don't know how much longer I can take this....someone....please help me...."
=======================
Wanda's heart breaks and the tears fall down her face at the sight of you. A poor, sweet child who wants to love and be loved only for that wretched woman to degrade and abuse you. She doesn't deserve you. In that moment, Wanda's mind is made up. But unfortunately you're in another universe.
She'll need to call in some back-up. And she knows just who to summon.
=======================
America Chavez has her eyes on a fellow sorceress in Kamar Taj, distracting her from her studies. Her heart flutters at the girl's smile, her stomach fills with butterflies at the song that is her laugh. And this is the first time she's actually felt a bit shy, something completely new to her. She's never been shy.
But today's the day she's gonna talk to her.
"Okay, America," she whispers to herself. "You can do this. Just go up to her and start a conversation. It's not that complicated."
She takes a deep breath before approaching her.
"Um, hey," she says, trying her damnedest to push down her nerves. "I....I've seen you in lessons before and, uh, I'm-I'm America Chavez."
The girl smiles at America.
"Oh yeah, I've seen you too. I'm Titania Phillips, like the fairy queen in A Midsummer Night's Dream."
The two of them just stand there for a bit in silence.
"Say something, America!" her mind snaps at her. "You can do this."
"So, uh," she begins. "Do you like.....stuff?"
Titania giggles.
"Yes, I do in fact like stuff. What sort of stuff are you referring to?"
"Girls?"
It just....bursts out of America's mouth, causing her cheeks to turn scarlet.
"Oh, you're lesbian too?" Titania asks. "I thought it was just me."
"Score!" America squeals internally as she nods. "Okay, now just ask her if she wants to eat lunch or something."
"Umm...." Titania says. "You can stop nodding."
America realizes that she's become a human bobble head and grasps the sides of her head to stop herself.
"Sorry," she chuckles. "So, um, you maybe wanna get lunch or some--?"
Her words are cut off by a grip on her mind. A few seconds later, she finds herself in an unfamiliar house. Something closes behind her and she turns around just in time to see a star-shaped portal close completely.
"Seriously?!" she exclaims.
"America."
A voice hits her ears, one she hasn't heard in a while. She turns to see the last person she'd expect to see.
"W-Wanda?!" she exclaims. "I-I thought you---."
The Scarlet Witch chuckles bitterly.
"You really think it’d happen so easily?"
America blinks a bit.
"What even happened?" she asks. "I was trying to talk to a girl in Kamar Taj."
"And how was that going for you?" Wanda asks, almost knowingly.
"....I was dorky as hell," the teen lesbian mumbles under her breath, glancing down at the floor.
Hearing this Wanda giggles.
"Don’t worry, you’ll get more confident around her. Maybe she'll even be your first kiss."
"Okay, pushing my love life aside, how and why did you bring me here?"
"I had to take control of you for a moment, make you summon a portal to me."
"You...you're not gonna....are you?" America begins to panic.
"No, I'm not," Wanda assures her. "I brought you here in desperate need of your assistance."
"With....what?"
Wanda takes a deep breath.
"Follow me."
She takes America to her universe-viewing room and conjures up what she saw earlier.
"I found a child."
"I thought you gave up on finding the twins."
"I have," she confirms. "But this one's different. Take a look."
She replays the footage and America feels her heart break.
"Holy shit...." she gasps. "What kind of monster treats a kid like that?!"
"Apparently that child's mother. They're in another universe, though. That's where you come in. I need you to make a portal to their universe."
"You're taking them from their family?!"
Wanda nods.
"It's for the best. No child deserves that sort of barbaric and cruel treatment."
Hearing this, the teen is torn. On one hand, she saw how you were being treated, but on the other hand, that's your family. And yet she heard you say how it's an every day occurrence. She can only imagine how little you have to hang onto.
With this thought in mind, she nods.
"Okay, I'll help you. When should we go get them?"
"When it's nighttime in their universe," Wanda answers. "I'll need for you to just wait around a few hours."
"But...Titania..." she whimpers.
"You can talk to her all you like when this is over. Now would you like me to make you some tea?"
"Um....I'm good, thanks." America shivers at the memory.
"I'm really gonna need therapy for that."
=========
It's now 12 am in your universe and your eyes are stinging from all of the studying, but you're so scared that your mother is gonna burst into the room and yell at you some more. And yet....you feel like that's what you deserve.
You hear your stomach grumble and feel the immense ache. You didn't get dinner that evening. How could you when your momster locked you in your own bedroom?
"What's the point?" you sigh as you throw down your textbook, not realizing how loud it is. "I'm never gonna be good enough....I should just sleep on it."
You put on some worn and scratchy PJs and get ready to tuck yourself in your uncomfortable bed when you hear the click of the lock. You begin to panic as the door slams open loudly.
"What are you doing?!" Your mother snaps. "I didn't tell you you could stop studying."
"I need sleep," you tell her.
"Don't you dare talk back to me!"
"But--"
"I said don't talk back!"
You put your hands over your ears and begin rocking, scrunching your eyes shut. Not a moment later, your hands are yanked away from your ears and pinned down.
"Don't you dare ignore me! Look me in the eyes when I'm talking to you, you worthless mistake!"
Pinning down both hands with one, she raises her free hand, ready to smack you. You can't take this anymore and at that moment, you scream out in agony.
"SOMEBODY SAVE ME PLEASE!"
All of a sudden, your mom lets go of your hand and you hear her cry out before a loud bang reaches your ears. You open your eyes to see your mom on the floor with her back against the wall.
"Get your hands off of that child." A voice you don't recognize, one with an accent, growls at her.
Your mother is too stunned to speak. You look over to see a woman with red hair in a red and black outfit. Next to her is a girl with black hair wearing a denim jacket. The red-haired woman nods to the girl and the girl approaches you while the red-haired woman goes over to your mom.
"C'mon," she tells you. "We're here to get you out of here."
You're extremely hesitant, but the girl insists.
"We're not gonna hurt you, we promise."
All of a sudden, you hear your mother scream in fear. Looking over, you only just see her eyes glow red before she curls up in the fetal position in fear. The red-haired woman approaches you.
"It’s going to be alright, sweetie," she tells you. "We promise we won't hurt you."
You're still very hesitant and the red-haired woman sighs, as if she knew this was how you would react, but it's not in an impatient way. All of a sudden, a red wisp seems to emerge from her hand and enters through your ear. You see a brief flash of red before you fall asleep.
==============================
The first thing you notice when you come to is softness. Softness all around you.
Opening your eyes, you find yourself somewhere unfamiliar and you get a bit anxious.
"Hey, it's okay, sweetie."
You hear a gentle voice near you. Looking up, you see the red-haired woman sitting on the edge of the bed next to you. She’s now in casual clothes. You panic a bit.
"Please...don't hurt me..." you whimper.
"I would never hurt you," she assures you. "Never."
She reaches out her hand to you and you flinch.
“You don’t have to, if you don’t want to,” she says to you softly.
“Are....are you gonna hit me?” you stammer.
“Never,” she tells you. “I promise I will never hit you.”
You’re silent for a bit, tentatively taking ahold of her hand after several minutes. She gently rubs the back of yours with her thumb.
“Where....where am I?” you ask.
“You’re in my house,” she tells you.
“How did I get here?”
“It’s a long story.”
“And why am I here?”
You hear her sigh again.
“I-I’m sorry,” you whimper.
“You have nothing to apologize for, sweetie,” she assures you. “It’s just, it’s difficult to explain without startling you. The important thing is that I brought you here because I heard your pleas to be taken away from that place. No child should ever be treated like that. You deserve love and kindness.”
“N-no I don’t.”
“....I know it’s difficult to believe considering how long the abuse has been happening for, but I promise it’s true. You deserve to be loved, and that’s why you’re here. I want to be your mother.”
You hear this and you’re in disbelief.
“H-huh? Is...is this a dream?” you ask.
She smiles softly.
“No, it’s not a dream. It’s very real, sweetie. I truly want to be your mother. I want to love you and take care of you.”
Your eyes begin to water.
“I....I don’t have to go back there, right?”
She shakes her head.
“No, never. This is your home now, you’ll always be loved here.”
You let a small squeak escape your throat and your lip quivers before you weep. You lean forward and hug your new mother.
“Thank you....” you cry, feeling a wave of relief. “Thank you....mom...”
It feels odd, and yet comforting, to say that.
She hugs you in return and rubs your back gently.
“It’s okay, sweetie. Just let it out. It’s okay to cry,” she assures you. “I’m here. Mommy’s here.”
Her love for you grows the longer you two hug. It’s been so long since she’s had someone to care for, and now she has you. You’ve given her a reason to keep going, just by being with her. You truly are a sweet child, now her sweet child; so loving and kind and hopeful.
And Wanda wants nothing more than for you to stay that way.
See....what you don’t know is that you aren’t the only person/thing Wanda had America help retrieve. Unbeknownst to her, Wanda had her retrieve an extremely-powerful elixir; a single dose stops aging, assures complete immortality, and fully protects from all deadly diseases and injuries. She injected a dose into you while you were asleep before injecting herself with a dose.
Not only that, but she’s also placed a barrier around the island. Just enough for you to explore, but not stray so far from her. On top of that, she’s placed an enchantment on America and made sure to disguise it, in case Strange and Wong notice something’s up; it’s to summon her back in case she needs something for you. She’s not going to take her powers, no, but she still wants to make sure that she has what she needs to take care of you.
Yes, you; her precious child.
She won’t let anything or anyone hurt you.
All you’ll know is love from now on.
And no one will ever take you away from her.
She’s made certain of that....
“From your head to your toes (Baby mine) You're so sweet, goodness knows (Baby mine) You are so precious to me Cute as can be Baby of mine Baby mine Baby mine.”

Someone came in wanting to do an exchange, shopped around for stuff totalling the amount of the thing she wanted to exchange. I take a look at the boots she wanted to bring back, the still attached label had a competitor's name on it so I had to explain that we couldn't take them for an exchange and a) she'd need to speak to them about getting her money back or an exchange and b) she'd need to pay for her items from us if she still wanted them. She paid but then complained she'd paid on the wrong card because I distracted her by not being able to do the exchange..... so it's my fault she came in the wrong shop to do an exchange and got her cards mixed up?

so i played symbiosis.
now tell me
1. what do you think happens after the game ends in the basement.
2. what are your headcannon ideas for more endings and/or a ‘true’ one?
3. why exactly is his nickname mint. how is he invasive!! and he isn’t used as a spice either!!! (or is he? a flavouring in magnolia’s sad lonely life)
ommg hihihi!!! I'm so glad you played!!!!! so sorry this is a bit of a late response,, i really had to think about these questions. also very sorry because i actually rambled an insurmountable amount for this,, LMAO. ok brace yourself, hereee we go (adding the keep reading thing because i dont need to be flooding innocent people's home page with this.)
// Honestly,, I dont have a like, huge idea of what happened after that ending (mostly because of the lack of context around a lot of the stuff, and boy do i need context to function!!!) but I think there's a lot of ways the ending in the basement could've technically gone after the cut off depending on how you interpret Mint at that point. We know Mint was always aware of what Magnolia did, as he mentions in his diary entry; but what happened next REALLY depends on how he copes with that as he grew up. Dove obviously got him into school, or some sort of formal education; where he'd then learn about 'right and wrong' which, as far as education systems go; tends to be VERY black and white. Meaning they'd likely respond with full conviction that Magnolia's actions were wrong and completely unjustifiable. So under the situation he had followed and grown into that line of thinking afterwards, there's no doubt he'd probably not have the most happy reaction to seeing Magnolia again,, butttt on the other hand, and what i believe to be the case a LOT more; he grew up being taught that people do what they do for a reason. Magnolia taught him to always do stuff for himself, because more often than not, what's 'right' isn't always the best for you; and it's okay to go against what's commonly known as the 'right thing to do' for that reason!! He'd likely grown aware at some point that most if not everything Magnolia had done while he lived with her, was for him to live. She murdered people because she needed blood to feed him; she hid them deep in the forest because she didn't want to be arrested and risk anything happening to mint, in the case he got into the wrong hands; and OBVIOUSLY it's a bit hard to completely disregard that line of thinking after so many years,, even if that line of thinking may of been a bit altered in him learning about what magnolia had really done to people, and her effect on others. So I could totally believe him just breaking down the moment he saw her again; knowing everything he'd know as of that point He's also, like, the biggest mama's boy i've ever seen in media; so I wouldn't put it past him if, upon seeing Magnolia again, he really did get emotional and just sorta started crying. Because old habits die hard.
// To be completely honest, I think knowing magnolia; both endings worked perfectly well in their own ways!! We know Magnolia really did love Mint, and her different responses to that love is really shown well in both endings :) Ending A obviously shows her wanting to give mint a better future. Just as it's acknowledged in the FAQ, she is a very horrible person; since she's. yknow. a fugitive and mass murderer. But she willingly puts herself at risk of being arrested, and presumably leaves dove who she clearly still loved on some level to likely die after stealing her gun, because she knows that as things were going, she'd never be able to provide Mint the life he deserves. And If anything, Magnolia clearly doesn't want to be as her parents were to her, to Mint. But Ending B is just as good in the regard that it shows the concept of Magnolia not being good for others, and that despite her best efforts; she almost always sours her relationships with those she loves (which is so, so, so great of an idea when you tie it in with 'symbiosis' as the title LMAO) No offense to Magnolia,, but she's like, almost pathetically horrible at conveying her feelings and emotions in any context. She was already blunt and mean in college without much provocation, and she never seemed to show her love for Dove *that* clearly (i mean,, we saw her smile once but that was in their wedding photo. cmon) so Ending B does great at reminding us,, 'hey,, she's still the same no matter what.' At least in this case we know she loves mint, but did mint even know that? By the time he's grown up, he looks just like magnolia did at that age; straight faced, apathetic looking in most cases, and generally not good at conveying anything but negative emotions. And we know for magnolia,, all of that emotion for her was a result of how she grew up (because i REALLY doubt she'd be this cynical and miserable if her parents weren't assholes, no hate) ; so it does so great to show that no matter Magnolia's best efforts, she was really never going to be as good as she wanted to be, because that's just the way she is, that's her effect on others.
// Honestly,, I always just interpreted his name as the sort of tie and relationship between him and Magnolia; and how their connection and effect on each other is far different from her previous one relationship and connect to Dove !!!! Doves, as a whole, are separate from Magnolias (as in the plant species,) because Doves are birds. And that same line of thought carries over to the characters too!!-- Dove had a freedom Magnolia didn't by being able to express herself and show her compassion and emotions without much complication; but though she changed Magnolia in her interactions with her- as we see magnolia was clearly more expressive, and emotionally available with her- she would have never have a permeant effect on her, because anything a bird can manage to do to a Magnolia tree has very temporary effects. (Hence the game's title "symbiosis" ; the interaction and relationship between two organisms !!! ) But Mint is also a 'plant' , (in this context, figuratively and literally ) So in some ways, he's just like Magnolia in that regard, since they're the same 'species' ; in this case being the way they're both 'irregular' and different from those around them. But just like you noted; mint is invasive. The plant itself can permanently alter the area and environment around it and it's generally very hard to get rid, leaving lasting impact. The moment Mint became a part of Magnolia's life, her life was permanently changed. We see she became far more empathetic than before, and her drive for what she did was no longer purely for knowledge, but compassion; and in both endings she so clearly does what she does under the context of her love for him!! And, in the basement ending (Ending B) despite all the time that had passed, she still seems to have those far more 'open' qualities coming about when it comes to him!!; cue her being so much more positively expressive and welcoming upon seeing him, compared to her reunion with dove. so for the most part, that's what i headcanon as the background for his nickname as'mint' !!!! :))
i had soso much fun answering these,, thank you so much kshkshks!!!!!! 💜💜

SIDE 1C: ROUND 1: Isabelle (Animal Crossing)/Wolf O’Donnell (StarFox) VS Webby Vanderquack (Ducktales 2017)/Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda for Isabelle/Wolf O'Donnell:
Met through Smash Bros :3
Just. Big tough space pirate and sweet normal everyday office worker. It’s the best.
I heard we were submitting in propaganda, so here’s some for my kind of niche guilty pleasure ship Wolfabelle (Wolf x Isabelle) since I was only able to think of a proper infodump of AFTER submitting it; Not only do I think they’re a fun pairing because they’re both dogs that met in Smash Bros and are also an extremely unlikely pairing, but also they sort of embody that classic bad boy and soft girl aesthetic, and I’d like to imagine, since we’ve seen a bit of a good side to him in the Star Fox games, he’d slowly become a better person for Isabelle, and then for himself and everyone else. Isabelle can help him see the good in the world and Wolf can help her stand up for herself. They’re also totally Bi 4 Pan and there’s a lot of really cute fan content for them online.
Propaganda for Webby Vanderquack/Mabel Pines:
Automatic-in. Adorable little weird girlies who love grappling hooks, and are also so cool and badass. Mabel would knit Webby a sweater and she'd NEVER take it off. Also they're both just so full of love and heart; what with Mabel being the entire heart of her show (to me <3) and Webby being so loyal to her loved ones that she manages to bring her best friend back from the Shadow Realm through the sheer power of friendship. They are both EXPLODING with love and they'd be such a lovey-dovey power couple 🥺🥺🥺

can we have the NSFW alphabet for Elisha?
I just love her too much
(I took a couple of days off to finally get around to Demon Slayer season 3, which btw god bless whoever directed it because it was a phenomenal job. Anyways I'm back and at it. Elisha is mildly gross.)
Warning: afab genitals referenced.
♡ Elisha's NSFW Alphabet ♡
Tumblr media
♡ A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex) ♡
It's subpar, I mean you can ask for what you want but she's not going to fully know right away until you tell her and when you tell her, she'll feel very crappy for not realizing. It's just that her stamina is crazy high due to all the traveling so she's up and ready to go and might not realize that the only reason she feels fine is because she has unlimited stamina. You just need to gently remind her that you aren't built like that though and then she'll make sure you're always taken care of afterwards.
Inns aren't the most comfortable place but it's what you two have to work with, although sometimes you don't even have that so forgive her if sometimes aftercare is her wrapping you in blankets in a tent and making you some stew. Other times you're be staying at the home of a local nobility and she'll even call for the maids to come take care of both of you, normally she would be jealous of people seeing you like that but she thinks of it as a romantic little spa date.
♡ B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s) ♡
Her shoulders, they're very broad. When she was younger it was something she didn't like but after meeting her darling, she really appreciates having broad shoulders and having her arms engulf her darling so easily. It makes it easier to toss you over her shoulders too if she's in a really spicy mood although it's a rarer occurrence since she's kind of a switch.
She's a leg kind of gal. Doesn't matter what kind of legs you got, she loves them. She'd probably never say it to your face since it would be far too embarrassing, even after you two have been together awhile, but she loves giving piggyback rides just so she can squeeze your legs without seeming like a weirdo. She doesn't give neck hickies(liar, she still does just maybe like one or two), she gives thigh hickies.
♡ C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically) ♡
Type of delusional to put on a strap and beg you to let her put a baby in you. Honestly the only one of my yanderes who I could picture wanting a baby with her darling and having a breeding kink and she is one of the ones who would not be able to naturally put a baby in you unless it was omegaverse. Although I could totally picture her finding some weird magic so she can temporarily impregnate you, even if you also can't naturally get pregnant, where there's a will there's a way and if you agreed, she'd fucking find a way to knock you up. It literally does not matter what the two of you are naturally capable of, she will make it happen if you allow it. It's also one of the few times she'll get more dominant.
Otherwise if breeding is off the table, she doesn't particularly care much as long as it happens. She's not one of the yandere who likes to go for multiple rounds or do overstimulation since you two have to travel a lot and she's mostly satisfied with a clean and easy quickie.
♡ D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs) ♡
Panty sniffer. Did it once just cause you left them on the floor, sort of liked it and just does it sometimes. Not even in a gross sexual way, she just enjoys the way you smell so if you're out of the room, she might smell them but she'd not using them to get off or anything like that. She also is always fighting back the urge to cry tears of joy during sex, you'll never notice she might cry unless you know what to look for though since she does a pretty good job of not letting you know, especially once y'all are actually together, she wouldn't want to embarrass herself in front of you.
♡ E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?) ♡
In theory she has experience but in reality she was attending an all girls catholic boarding school before she fell into the kingdom so while she knew things based on what other people told her, she has never put any of it into practice. She knew what things were like sex toys since they told each other everything in the dorms but it's only technical theory. She's pretty smart so she can put things together which is how she manages to figure out how to produce sex toys since she knew a little bit about how they functioned despite never seeing them but again nothing is put into practice. She's kissed a few people but nothing beyond that.
♡ F = Favorite position (this goes without saying) ♡
Whichever one keeps you from hurting since most of the time you're on the ground. One of her favorites when she has the choice is laying directly on top of you from behind especially when your legs and arms buckle from doggy style. She's not especially picky since most of the time she keeps you on top so that way you don't get hurt on the hard ground.
♡ G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.) ♡
Very not goofy, she's about to start crying tears of joy, even a quickie is the most serious, romantic moment to her. There's really just no goofing off with her. She might tease and taunt you at the beginning of the relationship before she shows her vulnerable side but the very moment you give your body to her, it's an extremely tender moment. She could literally be teasing you but the moment you even kiss her, she's hooked, she might try to keep being snarky but she's also pretty delusional and automatically sees this as you two being in love and therefore she can't bring herself to joke anymore.
♡ H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.) ♡
I have a deep love of hairy women, I think she has a happy trail, why? Idk, cause I want her to, enough said. It's very well groomed and trimmed though but it's there. Do with that knowledge as you will.
♡ I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect) ♡
The setting will not be the most romantic but she's going to be cooing in your ear the whole time. Luckily you're not paying attention to what she's actually saying or it would be concerning instead of romantic. She says the most concerning things in such a soft, romantic tone. She'll literally be like "I'm going to rip their throats out for you, would you like that my love? I just want to make you so happy. I promise I'll make you the happiest you can be, baby." You only hear the second part and don't hear the threats to the mercenaries that were rude earlier that evening. Might want to just tune her out during sex cause she might say some crazy shit.
♡ J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon) ♡
Almost never, all her energy has been put into being the adventurer since she fell into this world. She doesn't even think about it much before her darling. After meeting her darling she'll take time sometimes to do it but it's not going to be all the time and then once you're together she prefers to just seek you out for it instead since doing it with you is much better.
♡ K = Kink (one or more of their kinks) ♡
I've said this multiple times but sex toys. She has a lot of funding from her travels and knowledge of new age technology so she can basically just make whatever, she's a STEM girly, she make ones that literally make you pass out and wake up feeling like you've met the gods.
There's also her massive breeding kink, she will find a way to produce her own sperm if that's what it takes, then she will stuff it inside a custom made dildo. Obviously she won't do this if you don't want children but at least let her put something in the custom dildo so she can have the experience of pretending she's breeding you. It's rather impractical since it greatly increases clean up time but she doesn't care, she will put off slaying monsters for this, she will allow villages to burn just because she wanted to do this instead.
♡ L = Location (favorite places to do the do) ♡
Anywhere as long as people aren't directly looking at you, she's not an exhibitionist but she will finger you in the dark corner booth of a tavern, but if anyone's eyes dart over to you both, they are going to lose them so eventually you force her to stop doing this. After that it's mostly up against trees in the forest, sometimes in a slow moving river, or in an inn the two of you are protecting currently.
♡ M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going) ♡
Highly scent motivated, if you smell strongly it will get her going. If you've been sweating alot from traveling with her then she'll want it, and if you've just washed yourself and smell sweet then it'll get her motivated too. She loves both the nice floral scents(couldn't be me, lol, I'm allergic to most flowers) that you have when you've freshly washed and she enjoys when you're at your most primal. She's also heavily motivated by battle because she's crazy she loves protecting you.
♡ N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs) ♡
Let people look at you when you're vulnerable, she doesn't mind if you two are loud and everyone hears everything but she won't let people see. She's also very much not a sharer, I can't see her getting along with another yandere, because of her delusions I imagine she would think they are coercing you even if you're clearly enjoying yourself with them, she will fuck you on their corpse after though so enjoy that.
♡ O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.) ♡
Mostly a giver since she likes smelling you(eww, please stop) but she's okay receiving too. She's not much of a 69er, it's just awkward in the forest, she won't sit on your face no matter how hard you beg, so if you want it, you'll have to force her to sit down, then she will actually start to cry. She's a hypocrite though cause while she won't sit on your face for fear of hurting you, she'll get angry if you won't sit on hers. Like legitimately angry that you are hovering above her face.
In terms of skill, she's good at figuring it out, she's very adaptable, you don't even need to really guide her, she's driven by instinct alone on this one. Like she was born to eat pussy even though she's awkward with everything else.
♡ P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.) ♡
Fast and soft, the only hard part will be the ground since you're doing it in a lot of harsher environments. Don't tell her that the ground was rough though unless you want her to go so slow the next few times that you're almost unable to cum.
♡ Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.) ♡
Almost everything you do is a quickie except for the few times you're able to rest at an inn or the house of a local noble. Even then it's a lot more rushed than some of the other yanderes would be, considering you're rushing to do it so you can get cleaned up and enjoy the amenities at the house before you have to rush out again. She doesn't view quickies as any less, everything you do is love be it sex or just walking around with her so she's not going to be too upset since in the end she's still getting to love on you.
♡ R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.) ♡
She's down for a lot of things, just tell her exactly what it is that you want to do with her and she'll do it. As long as it doesn't involve majorly hurting you or allowing others to see you, she'll give it a try once, at least for you.
♡ S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?) ♡
If you had unlimited time for these things then she could go for basically forever, you'd look like your soul was ripped out of your body by the end meanwhile she's lightly panting from a good workout. There is a reason she was pulled into this world as the chosen adventurer, she can go forever so you better count your blessings that she doesn't have time to do that.
♡ T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?) ♡
Duh, next question. No but seriously in the kingdom she's known for being an adventurer and once she has her darling, she is known as the one who mass produces all the sex toys. Nobles often forget that she's a dragon slayer since they know her because she invented the bullet vibe they've been using on their own darling.
♡ U = Unfair (how much they like to tease) ♡
Not at all, it seems strange before you get to know her since when you first met she was constantly teasing you and acting like she never took anything seriously. She'd constantly invite you to spend the night with her but the moment you oblige, all that teasing energy evaporates.
♡ V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.) ♡
She's very quiet, the only sounds coming out of her are sweet threats towards anyone who bothered you recently or just have a bad vibe in general. She's speaking quicker than she's ever spoken in her life and that's saying something because she was the best liar at catholic school.
♡ W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character) ♡
Sprained your ankle fucking you once and never did that position ever again no matter how much you reassured her that it wasn't the positions fault, you were just tired and put a bit too much weight on the foot when you shouldn't have.
♡ X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes) ♡
Tiny boobs. I don't know why but my mind is telling me that there is no way Elisha has anything about an A cup. They are very soft which is also surprising to learn because she's very muscular. Her legs are the most muscular part of her but she does have a pretty muscular body everywhere else too.
♡ Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?) ♡
It's decent, she likes it regularly but it mostly satisfied after one or two rounds, as long as she feels you've had her love proven to you then she'll stop, her yearning gets higher if you're pulling away and she feels she needs to love on you harder though.
♡ Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards) ♡
Does she even sleep? I mean she is always hunting a dragon or some other stupid monster so she's rarely ever getting time to sleep. She might sleep once a week but occasionally you can coax her into a long long session which might make her relax enough to fall asleep but you'll have to try really hard if you want her to fall asleep with you afterwards.

TIMING: October 12th, the day after When the Rain Stops LOCATION: Decidedly less deep in the Pines PARTIES: Alex (@letsbenditlikebennett Gael (@lithium-argon-wo-l-f and Ren (@ironheartedfae SUMMARY: Ren isn’t the only one who went out searching for Gael. During their slow trek back to civilization, the duo rendezvous with Alex.  CONTENT WARNINGS: suicidal ideation
The journey home (strange as it was to still be able to call it that in his mind) was slow, much slower than it should’ve been. Ren had, no doubt, traveled much quicker and more efficiently on her own on her way to find him than the two of them were going now as they searched for Alex, to tell her that Gael was found alive, relatively unharmed and willing to come back; even if Alex had a working phone on her, Ren’s had been dead for several days and Gael didn’t even bother to bring one, his or otherwise.
The ‘relatively unharmed’ part was the part that held them up. While Gael no longer felt the residual ache of the full moon, a mixture of the guilt that had been devouring him and the subsequent willingness to die to atone for the crime he thought he committed ravaged his body; before Ren had found him, it’d been at least nine days since he’d eaten and the total number of hours he’d slept was much lower than it should’ve been. He was clumsy and uncoordinated, his muscles somewhat atrophic from lack of use and he didn’t want to but he made them stop several times, all of which Ren was more than accommodating towards. Of course, he felt bad about it now - he felt bad for a great many things now - but he couldn’t explain why his reaction had been so extreme even though it seemed simple in his mind: He thought he killed Regan. Was his own death worth hers, especially if he was the one that ended it without her permission? Gael didn’t know, just as until very recently he never once would’ve pegged himself as the type to give up so easily like that. He just knew that he caused Ren and Alex and Felix and Milo time, effort, worry… it was alarmingly easy to fall into such a negative feedback loop, something else he somehow always thought he was exempt from. This whole experience had been very humbling, if Gael had to spin it into a positive aside from ‘he literally owed Ren his life now’. So some time had passed and they had made progress, just not as much progress as they should’ve but even as they paused where they were, taking a breather for his sake, Gael knew that Alex would’ve found them much sooner than they would’ve found her - he didn’t doubt that she was just as good of a tracker as Ren was, but in different ways; she had those werewolf senses and while Gael’s nose wasn’t working (though honestly his own senses not working right just did him a favor at the point he was at), he was sure he positively reeked. He sat for a moment, leaning his scarred back against the stump of a tree, eyes closed and head craned upwards towards the sky.
“Any sign of her yet, Ren?” He asked, keeping his eyes closed but knowing that she was nearby, orbiting him like the perfect hunter she was, being very attentive to him while also keeping herself vigilant of their surroundings.
Caution was the name of the game. Perhaps more than they needed, definitely more than she would have afforded herself in the same situation. Ren hadn't really ever had to care for another person like this before. Every mission had always been solo. The ones that were observed were ones that the wardens who trained her would not have had a lick of trouble in dealing with. By sheer virtue of what she was made into, the nymph maybe wasn't ever supposed to care about anyone like this.
What Ren was supposed to do had long since stopped driving her actions, especially around Gael. Careful eyes scanned every inch of the horizon. Anything more aggressive than a particularly sassy squirrel was either chased off or dealt with depending on how persistent it was. Every few minutes she'd dart back, doting on the man for a bit, supporting him if necessary, making sure he ate something or had a drink from the pack she carried. A bit like a nervous mother hen tending to her first brood.
"There is disturbed earth off to West, campsite. Fresh. Buried ashes but still warm. She must be near." Ren had just done a loop around Gael's most recent resting place, but she was happy to be back by his side. "Are you still okay?" She fussed, as she had every time she returned from a short tour away, by checking each bit of exposed skin for suspicious bruises or scratches. As if the last ten minutes had a secret battle with a bear that she somehow missed.
The camp Alex had set up had been something of an impromptu thing. She thought of staying in her more wolf-like form and sleeping on the grass as she did last full moon, but something in the goo made her uneasy not that she was sure her little collapsible tent that fit in her thru-hiking pack could really do anything to protect her from it. She supposed it was more for a sense of false security than anything else. If it helped her get even a wink of sleep so that she could keep up her search for Ren and Gael, she'd take it. Her thoughts easily fell on humor. The sight of a werewolf running through the woods on all fours with a large bag hanging from her jaws was a funny one. She might as well make some use of the supplies she'd pack other than just the back up pairs of clothes.
Close to the camp, there was a little babbling brook. Alex had awoken with the sun and packed up her campsite to continue on her search. They smelled closer now. She'd collect some water from the stream nearby to put through the water filtration system in her pack and store in the bottles. When she found them, she was certain someone would need it. Gael had been braving the elements for over a week now and she was worried about the state Ren or herself would find him in.
Part of Alex still feared finding their faces trapped in the goo. Every minute of sleep she'd managed during this excursion had been haunted by them turned to statues near a pine almost as much as Cass's with the damn goo in the cave. She hated this stuff, and it felt like there were traces of it everywhere, permeating through everything she once loved about this forest.
It was a bitter thought, but it kept her moving forward. Alex couldn't let Gael or Ren become part of that stuff. She had to get home to make sure the same stayed true for Cass, too, who Alex wasn't sure she trusted to leave the cave if things truly got bad.
Before she made a move to shift, Alex closed her eyes and listened around her. They were closer now, so close there was no use in shifting back into her werewolf form to catch up. Even if there was still some sense of pride in the new party trick, it'd be more comfortable for everyone involved if she didn't have to throw clothes back on behind a tree once she found them.
So she followed and found her steps led her back towards her camp where she saw two figures in the distance. Ragged, but colorful. Ren's hair flashed brightly through the green leaves that were yellowing with the chill of autumn. Not encased in black mineral. Alex felt the relief flood her.
“Gael! Ren!”
She took off running with her hiking pack thudding heavily against her back as she did so. The thing was secondhand and admittedly meant for someone of larger stature than Alex would ever reach, but it didn't matter. They were safe.
She stopped abruptly before them, studying them carefully. They reeked, but they were upright. Gael looked considerably worse for wear. Almost frail. It was jarring to see, but Alex could discern they would both be ok. Which gave way for the tension that had been bubbling under the surface to overflow. “What the hell,” she asked, her voice coming out tightly, “Where were you that last night? Why are you out here alone? You could have...“ She couldn't bring herself to say it and instead looked down at the ground.
It was odd, when he thought about it, how rapidly things could change. Gael was no stranger to change or adapting to overcome new obstacles, at least he was until quite recently. He had reached a rapid and silent decision to keep his comments to himself when it came to Ren hovering over him, asking if he was okay, checking him for any new marks or abrasions; after all the trouble he caused, the last thing he wanted to do was make her feel guilty or unjustified in her worry. Fortunately, nothing had happened that day, at least not that he was aware of and instead of lightly dismissing her concern, he opened his eyes slowly and glanced up at her with a soft smile. “I’m still okay.” He assured her, his brow furrowing as he started to get back to his feet; slow, graceless, still feeling his muscles drawing from a limited supply of energy, a symphony of cracking bones as he straightened his thinned limbs. As much as Gael wanted to, he had refrained from devouring everything he was given when she offered - he had read something about how in survival situations, you shouldn’t go from zero to full. Or something. He didn’t know, his brain was still catching up. Gael had barely pulled himself into a stand, still using the tree he previously leaned against for support as an anchor when he managed to hear a familiar voice. A hand subconsciously going to his stomach, the place where his hand had taken to resting in what he could only assume was a comforting gesture, the shifter turned slowly as his dark eyes fell upon the running figure of none other than Alex, with her fiery hair flowing behind her and a large backpack bouncing off of her shoulders. Immediately, that shame came flooding back into his system, the guilt that had nearly killed him before that he tried to smother now that he could reliably see and touch Ren, and with the knowledge that Regan was still alive, threatening to send him crashing back to the ground. People were out looking for him. People who didn’t know what he thought he did and still wanted to find him anyway. It was so aggravating, he knew, that he still felt guilty for this whole thing. It was irrational, but it still felt so tangible as it started to turn his stomach into knots again as Alex drew closer. In no time, the werewolf was on the two now and for a moment, as he could hear the tone in Alex’ voice, the questions she asked and the sentence she couldn’t finish, Gael bit his lower lip as he seemed to physically recoil from her approach. What could he say? What could’ve possibly justified why he was out there that still held up now that he had all of the information? “Alex, I…” His voice, thick with something indiscernible to himself and still somewhat rubbed raw, faltered and he looked from her down to the ground in submission. “I’m… sorry.” He felt his brow twitching as it knitted between his eyes. “I thought– I just…” The words didn’t seem to be coming to his mind, at least not nearly as reliably or confidently as he normally spoke. He didn’t have any excuses. No decent explanations, especially not one that he could seem to formulate coherently on the fly; as it turned out, he never actually thought about what he was going to say to Alex when they met again, considering he wasn’t really thinking he was going to meet anyone again. Gael didn’t look at either of the young girls now, feeling the chain harness starting to press on him once more, forcing him down.
The nymph (who was still under the impression that any talk about the werewolfy-aspects Gael may or may not possess could lead to pain or worse) immediately jumped to a hackled defense as soon as any kind of talk of that night came up. Even if it was the very same concern that had the other girl asking, Ren puffed up and shook her head frantically in Alex's direction. "No! Mmnhnn! Please to be stopping this." The reunion should have been a lot smoother, a lot more joyous, but worry and a stunning leap of logic had more to say apparently.
"There is outside issue that must be resolved before this talk can occur! Sincerest of apologies but there is… fae thief to blame for... gaps in knowledge." Ren bit at her lip and stepped back. Retreating slightly behind Gael. Tugging slightly at the fabric of his shirt as she hid. As if he were a safety net between her and someone who she wasn't quite at the same level of comfort with as she was with the older werewolf. Ren was still a bit uneasy speaking on matters of the fair folk in front of anyone at all. But it was almost more so with her because Alex had assured the entomid how much she 'thought nymphs were so cool'.
And that just didn't make any sense.
Ren didn't even want to be a nymph. They weren't cool. Leather jackets were cool. Sunglasses and knives were cool. Science was cool. Werewolves… they were cool. A werewolf seemed a much better option. More sensible. Only a big issue three days out of a month, and even then it could be curbed. Directed into something positive. Something that could be shared. Though the relative coolness of the other's species was a sentiment Alex very much disagreed with.
If only they could switch.
"I–am gladdened to see you though, Alex. I was… worried when we were separated." If there was one thing the nymph could thank Gael for, (honestly there were actually so many things to choose from) it was that she had gotten a lot more open with speaking her mind. Good or bad. Ren even offered a somewhat lopsided and shy smile, just barely poking out from behind Gael's shoulder.
The unfamiliar waver in Gael's voice softened something in her. Not that she was ever truly angry at the elder werewolf, not really. Alex was self aware enough to know that the anger was easier than fear or sadness or pre-emptive grief. It was an easy thread of emotion to hold on to when the others felt too heavy.
But he was sorry and she faltered. Alex chewed at her bottom lip and looked him over. Gael looked like shit, he smelled like shit— she'd take a wager that he felt like shit. “It's okay,” she murmured, “You're safe now. We're together and safe. It's gonna be okay.“
Alex wasn't entirely sure if she was convincing him or herself, but before she could try to figure out just what had happened, Ren was speaking. She found her brows knitting together in confusion initially, but it clicked together. The fact he couldn't remember his full moons despite the fact he had been ”sleepwalking“ for so long, the way he could believe she was a werewolf, but couldn't seem to use the word for himself.
”Oh,“ she uttered, her jaw slack with surprise. That was a problem that Alex wasn't exactly sure how to fix. Werewolf stuff, she could help with, but this was different. ”Can we... Is there a way to steal what was taken back? Or trade? I had a fae make a trade with me to get my friend's name back once.“
Problem-solving mode was easier than trying to acknowledge all the reasons she was afraid with someone who simply wouldn't be able to understand as it was.
Alex looked around Gael to gaze at Ren. Her lips turned upwards in a sympathetic smile. ”I'm glad to see you too, Ren,“ she assured, ”It was pretty badass how you got over the goo like that.“
She couldn't see Ren well from her place behind Gael, even as she peered out. Alex wanted to see if she had been hurt even if she knew the blood on Gael had already turned her stomach sour. ”Were you hurt at all,” she asked, “I have supplies... You should both have water. I just filtered some. It's about a day's hike back to my cabin. We'll need our energy. Is anyone hungry? You two should eat something.“
Alex moved toward a rock and checked for any critters. “Here,” she gestured, “Sit, Gael.” She went through the mental checklist of what she was supposed to do with shocked, lost hikers at the state park. She handed him one of the waters and a  couple of honey stinger chews from her pack. “Drink first, slowly so you don't make yourself sick. Then have a couple of these chews, they'll help get some calories in and be easy on your stomach to start.
She looked to Ren nervously, “I'm... not very good with blood. Do you know first aid? I have all the stuff, I just—”
Before he had to explain himself any further, which Gael was more than willing to do once he could actually formulate the thoughts without breaking down into tears as he thought about what he thought he did, Ren had chimed in for him. Right… it was a fae, wasn’t it? It wasn’t that he was just too foolish or stupid to remember, it was something keeping him from remembering. He wondered if that would’ve helped at all or whether it really mattered once he could recall what he was or what he did. What… the thing inside of him did. That was another reason why he felt so much hesitancy as Alex initially confronted him. Gael felt similarly with Alan; there was that level of frustration when it came to talking about lycanthropy, he could tell. And whether or not he was being obstinate at first, with a comfortable and healthy willingness to believe that it was something else, that all seemed to change when he had the dream of the figure draped in shadow with something erupting from its side. Then the following month when he was sure he was attacked by a werewolf but the thought that he couldn’t become one because of how wrong it felt was so strong… Which led to now, as he stood there, swaying with the ghost of uncertainty wanting to push him over either by forcing a strong, chilly wind onto him or from the metaphorical weight of being unable to confront something, to look it in the eye and try to figure out what to do. He remained standing, however, and with Ren who had spoken for him now hiding behind him as though he’d be able to protect her from any potential wrath or even frustration from Alex. He could feel the grip of material in her hand tugging as her nerves overrode her so the least he could do was shield her, whether it was from Alex specifically, the rest of the world or even herself and the aspects of her history that haunted her. Fortunately, Alex seemed to soften, which elicited a quiet sigh of relief from Gael and he gave a noncommittal shrug when the young werewolf asked about whether or not it could be traded back. “It might be able to. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner, it wasn’t… something that crossed my mind until…” Until things got too big to manage alone, he thought with shame. He exhaled thickly through his nose in a grunt as he felt his body starting to protest: ‘either start moving or sit back down’, it seemed to say. So when Alex suggested they take a seat, now that he was more settled with knowing that Alex wasn’t planning on giving him a lecture about his stupid decisions (at least, not at present; he’d have been able to handle it in a few weeks when he could look back on this whole fiasco and… try to laugh about how absurd he’d been), Gael nodded in agreement and slowly maneuvered himself so that he was able to sit down but turning in a way that Ren could still hide behind him until she felt comfortable enough to join the conversation without speaking through the dirty material of his shirt. “Good news; all of this blood is old.” He felt the need to explain first as he sat solidly with another grunt. “I was… being dumb yesterday and misstepped.” He motioned to an abrasion on his arm that had long since scabbed over. “I just… haven’t washed all of it off yet. Sorry.” That was the first apology but before he took any of Alex’ water, he leaned forward until his elbows were being supported on bony knees and clasped his calloused hands together nervously. “I’m… so sorry that I made you guys come out here to look for me.” He told himself he wasn’t going to get overemotional, not again, not when he felt like he’d already cried in front of so many people already - Regan, Felix, Ren… máma always said he was emotional but now as he felt his eyes welling with tears, he didn’t feel like that was a good thing. “I’m sorry for everything.”
For all her confidence with tracking, or fighting, or spying, Ren had very very little wherever social situations arose. At the few parties she was invited to she took a back seat. Content to watch and observe and try and make sense of everything rather than interact. She was better, or at least she thought she was better, at one on one. A little while back she and Alex had a pretty nice day together, all things considered. They talked about bugs and the garden that the werewolf had set up and that should have made Ren more comfortable around her.
Maybe it was the woods. Maybe it was the danger, the concern. This was an entirely new light to be perceived in and she wasn't so sure she liked it. Too close to the thing she was before. To the trained attack dog that none of the Allgoods would accept her as. The friend group started with a death. Would they be willing to look past the blood on her hands? Would Alex? The girl couldn't even look at the dried blood from a hiking mishap.
(Part of Ren still took note of it as a potential way to distract or incapacitate her. A separate growing part resented those observations and the fact that she couldn't seem to stop making them.)
So she hid. Sat about as close to Gael as she could while still making herself useful by digging a fire pit. Like a toddler when a familiar stranger came by. Eyes cast downward as Alex started fussing in the same way she had been. That was good, in a sense. Gael deserved to know that more people cared about him but ah– that seemed to upset him too. The man apologized and Ren finally looked up. Brows knit close together as green eyes searched for something to say as if there would be a physical answer somewhere.
"We–" Timid, a shaky voice on unsure footing. "We cannot change things of past. So we take steps to make tomorrow better, yes? You would have done same for us. It is fair and just." Paraphrasing and translating things in her head always twisted around the phrasing. As good as her memory was, something in language would always hold a barrier she couldn't fully cross. Ren looked to Alex, a pleading expression flashing across the nymph's features. Hoping the young werewolf would have something better, something more comforting to say.
The uneasiness hadn't completely dissipated, but Alex was able to fall into the familiar routine of taking care of someone. She'd come up on plenty of lost and scared hikers before. They all needed water and food. Typically warmth too, but the fire would help there. Once he was cleaned off a bit, she could give him some thermal blankets too. The chill in the autumn air was especially biting in the higher elevations and shaded canopies of the forest. “It's ok, and it's old... that's, well not good, but better? I have something that can help with that,” she explained as she fished through the oversized bag yet again to pull out bathing wipes intended for camping. “Here. Wouldn't put them directly on an open wound. There's different wipes for that, but they'll help clean up any dried blood and dirt. Then I'll give you a thermal blanket to wrap up in.”
Her eyes fell on Ren who was in arguably better shape, but still seemed small in her way. Alex looked her over carefully with a soft gaze. “And you weren't hurt,” she asked, “But it's still cold, here.” She gave Ren one of the silver thermal blankets. She wasn't sure how the entomid thing worked, but bugs preferred the warmth.
“I appreciate you explaining things,” Alex whispered, “I'll... help how I can. We can talk once we're all home and figure it out.” She didn't want to cause Gael any further pain or confusion, but whatever was blocking his memory needed to be fixed. It was clearly tearing him apart and she wanted to fix it.
Then the apology came and Alex shifted uncomfortably on her heels. It was strange, hearing an apology come from someone considerably older than her. By the cadence of his words and timber of his voice, she could tell the apology ran deeper than just what happened tonight. Ren had started on with some supportive words and Alex chimed in, “It's like you told me, mistakes happen. All that matters is that you're safe. We're all safe.“
She had the feeling that Gael would feel guilty if she or Ren had been hurt looking for him. Alex was familiar with the way guilt and self doubt could warp even the simplest situations. Having something stolen from him like that, something that effected his memory—- well, Alex could deduce that it left him with a fair share of self doubt. She could see it in the way he carried himself now and how it was different from a few months ago. Even when he didn't have a word for the sleepwalking or a pack to support him, he seemed steadier— confident and grounded.
”And hey, I think I'm the last person that can fault running off,“ Alex laughed gently, ”Poor Kaden had to endure hours with Emilio when I ran off after getting shot. Sometimes... I think it feels safer for us out here. I don't know, there's probably something sage to be said about all that, but...“
She looked between them, ”The only thing that actually matters is we're all okay. Now we recoup, go home, and work to make things safer for all of us.” Everything she knew about fae had mostly come from Cass, so her knowledge wasn't extensive, but Ren knew this stuff. They had to be able to figure out a way to get back what was stolen from Gael. “We'll figure things out. Together.”
He wasn’t sure why he was apologizing. It was probably the relapse, the tumult of emotions both foreign and not fitting. It was the guilt, it was how easily he was willing to isolate when he’d never done anything like that before. It was the age difference between them - he was Alex’ teacher and Ren’s… parent figure. He was too old to be so vulnerable to them; it wasn’t fair to them, especially those two girls specifically. He knew Ren had trouble processing and expressing herself and he knew that Alex’ relationship with being a werewolf was shaky even at the most stable of times. Gael couldn’t bring himself to explain that he was out in the woods on an abrupt, overwhelming death wish after thinking that he killed Regan when he was something else. The words “I thought I killed Regan” in of themselves were almost just as hard to say as the missing pieces in his brain. He didn’t kill Regan, and yet the thought that didn’t exist still clung to him like the parasite or condition or disease or whatever was inside him, thrashing around and ripping his insides apart. It was how he was starving yet he still didn’t want to eat anything, almost as though there was something in his mind still trying to punish him; it was almost that the sentence had turned from ‘you killed Regan’ to ‘you could’ve killed Regan’. It could’ve been anybody. It could’ve been anybody out in the woods with him and whatever the hell happened to him when he lost time. And he couldn’t remember. When Alan and Alex talked about it, it seemed so simple. His breath snagging on the phlegm that lingered in the back of his throat, Gael took the heels of his hands to his eyes again in an attempt to wipe the mist away, even forcing a cough of a chuckle to scrape from him when Alex made her light joke, even if being shot and thinking you murdered one of your friends without even realizing it weren’t remotely the same - Alex being shot simply for being what she was was the victim. Gael thought he was the criminal, thought that he could still be the criminal. “Right.” He nodded, swallowing thickly. “Mistakes… mistakes are made. And dwelling on the past is unhealthy; what’s important is that we’re here, we’re safe and we do what we can to make where we are now better.” Gael glanced between both girls gently as he addressed each of what they had to say, wisdom in their own right though he didn’t miss the parts where they were just giving him back what he’d lent them; once more, he didn’t think he himself would be the one they’d have to tell these things to. “I appreciate both of you coming to find me.” He finished cleaning the dirt and blood from himself and unfolded the blanket Alex had offered, only then realizing the chill that nipped the air and his skin. Figuring out what memory was missing… would that really help? Or would that just solidify the sour interpretation and relationship with whatever was inside Gael was? He supposed it was a step in the a direction, maybe even the right direction. Gael still felt a twinge of something miscommunicated or not being said correctly, which he blamed himself for but he couldn’t figure out what it was. Whether he was saying enough, too much, not enough. Usually he was so focused on replying to everything as it was said but he was too slow. So instead of saying anything else at first, he subconsciously reached over and gave Ren a single, gentle pat on the head before he scooted closer to her to share his body warmth with her. “I couldn’t ask for a better pair of trackers.” He smiled again, small, gaunt but genuine. “S–” He stopped himself from apologizing yet again. So instead, he shook his head and took a slow, but welcome drink of water.
Before long the fire was crackling. Ren had even dug a vent off to the side of the pit that siphoned away most the smoke. An old trick she used when trying to avoid detection, now served as the only way she knew how to make a fire. Bugs didn't care for smoke. Even the thin wispy remains of whatever hadn't been whisked away by physics the fae didn't fully understand was starting to make her sleepy. Docile. The exhaustion was starting to catch up with her. She hadn't exactly slept… pretty much the entire time she'd been out in the woods.
If Gael had known, he might have felt worse. So Ren had decided to keep that little tidbit hidden as best she could. He had enough to worry about. Had a world that felt like it was crumbling more and more with each step. It wasn't the same circumstances, but Ren could relate. The foundation her life had been built upon was shaking and cracking more and more with each passing day. The main difference was the entomid was given loving arms to fall into, careful considerate people who explained the things she didn't understand in a way she could grasp. Unlike Gael, who must have felt like the only thing on the other side of the shattered sense of self was the void.
Chill spread through her bones, and Ren welcomed the thermal blanket. A lot scratchier but also far warmer than the picnic blanket she had tucked in her rescue pack. Alex was a lot better at this. Made sense. She had said something about working with the rangers, (park ones, not hunter ones) helping those who got lost or injured. She was always trying to help people. Ren admired that. Saw it as one of the best qualities a person could have. It was the very same that drew her close to Gael too. Maybe she just had a magnet for magnanimous werewolves.
Snuggled up close, sitting by the fire, it was almost…nice. Like one of their usual outings. They could almost ignore the heaviness that had brought them there. Strange, that someone else was with them. But if it was going to be anyone, Ren supposed Alex was probably best. A full head of scraggly red curls rested against Gael's shoulder. Soaking up the heat rather greedily as another apology threatened to surface. Once again, Ren wasn't sure what to say, only that she desperately wanted to help.
"I believe things will get better. We will find one responsible, we will get you control back. I know you are not… a bad thing, sky guy." Her voice was quiet, but when wasn't it? However, there was an assuredness to it this time, like she was resolute in her determination that despite everything, the man still meant the world to her. "While…sleepwalking–you protected me from attacking cu-sith. Saved me. The–" A pause for careful, careful consideration of the phrasing. "Whatever it is, it can be good. It is good. You are good. You are still my–" Ren paused again, this time looking over to Alex before continuing. "Still our Gael."
Sometimes Alex wished she was a bit less perceptive and could take words at face value. Then, she could pretend like their words had done something to comfort Gael and in all likelihood they probably had to an extent, but the heaviness that hung in the air wasn't something that dissipated. The weight clung to him and settled in his bones and the way his muscles seemed to almost slump as he sat—- given he had just spent so many days in the woods. It didn't look like he had much in the way of food or water.
But it was more than that. Alex didn't push though. She couldn't when there was clearly parts of his own memory that weren't available to him. It'd be a tireless effort with no return. ”Of course,“ she answered gently, as if coming to find him had been something they'd so obviously do.
”We are pretty great trackers,“ Alex smiled at Ren. ”I was impressed with Ren. She moves quick and she's resourceful.“ She hoped that did something to inspire some confidence in the entomid. While they hadn't spoken much of their lives before Wicked's Rest, she could gather that Ren's upbringing was far from typical with how much she was still learning about the human world.
Alex began working at cans of chili to cook over the fire and pulled out her little camping pots. She carefully poured a few cans of chili into the pot and held it over the fire Ren had made. ”Good job on the fire,“ she said instinctively before glancing over at Gael. “She's right, you're still our Gael.” Her wrist flicked as she moved the chili around the pot. Alex gave them both a soft smile. ”Things will get better because we'll make them better. Together.“

so what did you think of each of the roy sibs ending?
I think it was a great finale and while there were twists and turns I didn't expect, I feel like it was totally right for all of them.
Kendall--Right NOW, I'm ending on a pessimistic vibe for Kendall wherein I agree with Jesse that this is the defining event in his life that he'll never get over... I don't see Kendall being a good, like... father. I don't see him being a whole person. I see him as being less of a destructive force than his father (simply because, though I imagine that someone with his wealth and connections will build something again, it will never be on a Waystar level) but I don't think he'll ever be happy and recognize the freedom he has been given for what it is. Kendall wants to be shackled.
[insert my "the Roy siblings would all be a lot better off if they just channeled their intense emotional issues into safe, sane, and consensual kink (not with each other)" spiel]
I also think the fact that Kendall was willing to throw out the one thing that haunted his conscience since season 1, the one thing that brought true empathy from his siblings (the cater waiter thing) in exchange for Waystar... That is why I don't think he's going to get over this for a looong time, if ever. He was willing to sacrifice everything for this; he did; and he lost.
Roman--I mean, I think a lot of people are gonna go into the baby Romey stuff, and I won't excuse Kendall getting physical with him. in the hug.... But lol, I do think we can all say we wouldn't lose our shit over someone saying our non-bio kids aren't "real bloodline"... and then we'd lose our shit. Do I think that was ALL about the kids for Kendall? No, of course not. But that is a *hell* of a trigger. And yes, for sure there's some ugly Logan-fostered macho shit going on there (I interpreted that dialogue as Sophie being adopted and Iverson being biologically Rava's but conceived with a sperm donor because Kendall is infertile) but also... those are his kids, man. And frankly I think the fact that Roman clearly agreed with Logan on that is the 50 billionth dog whistle about Roman's core political leanings that he TRULY believes in that we've gotten since s3. The guy who said the "blacks and the Jews" line now caring a good bit about "true Roy blood"????
I also feel like Roman is just not gonna work and idly waste away in his millions, never able to be honest about his sexuality, his desires, or his trauma in a straightforward way. He will never be able to have a healthy relationship.
Shiv--The tragedy of Shiv is that she became her mother, and I did see a lot of that coming, and I don't agree with the "this is anti-feminist" takes because a) Shiv has always been complicit to acts of extreme misogyny, so it makes sense that she'd fall prey to it b) I think the point that the show was trying to make is that even if Shiv was fit to be CEO (she wasn't) she still wouldn't be selected because of this culture of extreme misogyny that is Waystar.
I think that in the end, Shiv does have a sick love for Tom, and the shock of him being the potential CEO rocked her and put her in a place where she was like "it's going to be HIM???" And she both wanted to be with him, tbh, if he was going to lead anyway... and could justify her desire to be with him as a strategic move while receiving validation from him (because Shiv is so desperate for male validation, always). Shiv couldn't handle the idea of Kendall being CEO because at the end of the day, the siblings view that seat in a very childish way. Kendall with his "I'm the eldest boy", Roman with the "but why couldn't it be me" as if it's just something you get because it's there, and Shiv with the points system of fairness in her head.
So it makes sense that in the end, someone who had far less emotional stake in it (who perhaps began with more but had that whittled away over the series) like Tom would "win". Tom didn't need to be a sole ruler--he was willing to compromise with Matsson because it served his purpose and got him power he can use another day, maybe. Tom registering Matsson wanting to fuck Shiv with clear anger, then brushing it aside for his goals, when s1 Tom was devastated when she cheated, when her sleeping with other people has always been such a huge crisis for him... chilling. But that's why he won.
Also, the reality is that Logan was right about none of the kids being able to rule the company (Kendall has the business training but emotionally he could never distance himself enough to be truly rational over it) but the issue is that this was HIS FAULT LOL. He never wanted them to be on his level. He wanted to lord over them. And he was upset when the people he designed to fail... failed. Something Kendall basically pointed out in s1.
So Logan created this company that in theory should've been a family legacy, but ultimately began and ended with him, because he couldn't bear to share it. And I think that's such good writing.

and if you couldn't tell, i absolutely ADORE fantasy exploration<3
but yeah, trans boi peter def works for the vampire au and since you gave me the idea, i'm definitely leaning towards him now~<3 ;)
i DID have a different sorta trans idea too but for a trans GURL getting their happy ending and *actually* legit getting to experience the miracle of life~<3 cause the BOIFRIEND is a freak of nature<3 but in a good way<3<3<3
that idea was for clex tho with trans gurl lexi and clark with his fuckin' supersperms because YES and i still wanna do it<3<3<3 leik could you IMAGINE? she'd get the full transition in the most perfect way with her boyfriend's help AND be able have baby conner and GAH<3! idk, i think it's cute and i loved the idea<3
especially if lexi's dickhead father is doing everything he can to prevent her transition and here comes clark helping her right under his nose ;)))))))))))))))))))

alone, desire & failure for the oc u really want to talk abt :3
not-so-nice oc asks
ooh well since we're touching on the topic of failure i gotta talk abt ultimate failgirl fereldan turnip champion of kirkwall hottest apostate in town aka frida! also she's my only dragon age gal whose tag is still empty and this is a great opportunity to change that
alone: how does your oc deal with loneliness? have they ever been completely alone before? how do they act when there's no one around to see them?
frida deals with loneliness by seeking company! she's used to always having at least a few people around and she would prefer not to be alone with her own thoughts so. she'll hit up her friends and/or go to the hanged man for a fun evening to avoid this :) if there's no one around to see her it means her energy is totally depleted and that's when she's at her. rawest and most bare? she might cry for an hour in total solitude or just lie in bed staring at nothing or do something else she'd never let anyone else witness. she is so used to putting up a strong and fun and unshakeable front for others!! alone time is for letting all her emotions out unfiltered oof
desire: what's one thing your oc wants more than anything in the world? are they open with that desire? why or why not? what would they do to fulfill it?
she's a simple gal. she just wants to live her life freely and be happy and make sure her loved ones are happy...
...until she arrives in kirkwall and gets to know the kirkwall crew and starts hanging out and discussing mage freedom with anders and merrill and learns about the conditions in the gallows... as years go by she starts desiring. bigger things. it's not enough that she and her friends are free - she wants total liberation and while she doesn't go around the gallows yelling 'fuck meredith' she doesn't hide her views either. after becoming the champion she becomes much more open about this because what are they gonna do? arrest the beloved savior of kirkwall lol?? and if it takes blowing up a chantry and starting a revolt to achieve total liberation then so be it.
she's not actually involved in the blowing up of the chantry tho (beyond distracting elthina as you do in-game) bc anders keeps her in the dark but. at that point she would've helped if he'd asked. in fact she would've done it in his stead because just as anders says 'i didn't want it to be connected to you' or something along those lines frida would also have wanted to shield her friend at the cost of her own safety. because that's what she does. she needs therapy.
failure: what's your oc's greatest failure? have they been able to move past it? does anyone else know about it?
ok so when i call her failgirl i don't mean it in a 'fails at everything she does' way. she succeeds in many things! but all her achievements in kirkwall are overshadowed by her losses that she sees as failures on her part. most people don't see it that way because they don't know about her personal life, they just know she saved kirkwall! she fights for the mages! she's a hero of the common people whoo!! the companions of course know about most of her losses as they're right there to witness them and even if she doesn't open up about her troubles they Know she is tormented
but anyway uh. her greatest failure is basically not being able to do what she set out to do in the first place which was protecting her family! bethany dies when they're fleeing ferelden (she shouldn't have let her run off like that!), carver catches the taint and frida dooms him to a slow death as a grey warden (she should've told him to stay in the city!!) and then leandra is killed (she should've been more alert!!!). she blames aveline as well for the last one though. as is her right because holy shit aveline you're bad at your job! also frida is getting tired of internalizing it all so she starts taking her anger and exhaustion and disappointment out on others. mainly aveline. they have a weird can't-stand-her-ass-but-i-need-someone-to-fight-with kind of relationship. idk.
she also believes she failed as a big sister to carver by not bonding with him as much as she did with bethany when they were younger and like. she still struggles to understand him... see things from his point of view... they never get to have a true heart to heart about their Issues before she sends carver away to join the wardens and after that they barely see each other anymore and hhhhh
at first it feels like she'll never be able to move past her failures. she simply distracts herself from all the sorrow by keeping busy but as years go by she eventually... grows around it... there are still people to care about and causes to fight for and she is still needed and wanted and she slowly realizes that she needs to move on? and stay in the present and work for a better future. i'm starting to sound so sappy lmao but my point is!!!! she will eventually make peace with it all. even though it takes a long time. i'm back w more au stuff!! this time, centering around a pop duo. to tell you the truth, i kind of built this au around them.
anyway, if you have any questions about the au or anything.. i'm always happy to answer. <3 now... hcs under the cut!
♡ trish is the only daughter of model donatella una and fashion photographer aceto doppio. doppio signs his work as 'solido naso' so he can keep his private life separate from his professional life. diavolo is trish's uncle, who often spoils her when he sees her.
♡ growing up, trish had a rather normal life. donatella and doppio wanted to make sure that trish didn't have to deal with invasive questions and paparazzi hounding her, but she's always been interested in the glitz and glamour of her parents' work. instead of modeling, she wanted to write music and eventually become a popstar. she started with a small youtube channel doing covers, and eventually started doing her own original songs.
♡ lucy is the daughter of steven steel, who is a famous director. she's homeschooled so the paparazzi or any fans can't bother her while she's trying to learn, and she's rather well-versed in navigating the industry thanks to her attending many social events with steven, his former protegé funny valentine, and funny's wife scarlet.
♡ when lucy was ten, she decided to become an actress because she enjoyed cameoing in steven's movies growing up. she did commercials and small tv roles until steven eventually put her in his most recent film, a silent way, when she was 13. it was her breakout role. she appeared on a few tv shows after and people still talk about her even now since they're interested in what she'll do next. honestly, she was considering going into music.
♡ shortly before lucy's fifteenth birthday, she met trish through a public performance that trish was putting on. lucy was impressed. when she went home that night, she found trish's youtube channel. with this, her mind was made up. she'd take a break from acting, and focus her energy on singing.
♡ for her birthday present, she had only one wish; to record music, but only if she could record it with trish.
♡ steven gets into contact with trish and her parents, and they schedule a meeting with each other shortly after. trish isn't totally onboard with the idea initially because she always thought of herself as a solo act. after thinking on it for about a day or two, she comes back and agrees to perform alongside lucy.
♡ they call their act diva riot!! their main sound is glam pop. trish writes a vast majority of their songs, but lucy pitches in with her own ideas as well. their debut album is called roll out the red carpet.
♡ to help them gain some publicity, diavolo invites them to take some photos at passione and offers to put them in the latest issue. they accept, of course. the rest is history
okay!! time for some more miscellaneous thoughts about them together and apart!
♡ lucy helps trish navigate her first few celebrity events, especially since trish isn't the type to suck up to other people. plus, lucy's well aware of who to steer clear of lest their reputations get completely tanked or they get dragged into extremely awkward situations.
♡ in turn, trish helps lucy improve her singing voice. there's a noticeable improvement as they record more albums together, and lucy's grateful for the advice.
♡ one day as a show of friendship, lucy dyes a strip of her hair pink to match trish. in response, trish begins to wear yellow star-themed accessories as a reference to lucy.
♡ lucy idolizes the joestars to an extent, so she gravitates towards star-themed memorabilia. she cameoed in a movie starring johnny once as a kid, and they developed a close friendship with each other since she always hung around set. she hasn't been able to see much of him after his accident.
♡ even before she became famous, trish often hung around passione's studio for fun when her parents were busy. she's friends with bucciarati and the models that picked him to be their agent (abbacchio, mista, narancia, and fugo), but she's still getting used to giorno's presence because he's new.
♡ eventually, lucy begins to hang around passione as well. trish invited her, and she sticks around for someone else as well. who that is a secret between herself and that person.
♡ one time for a concert, trish convinced lucy to perform with actual animals. diavolo secretly paid for it. trish came in on a lioness, while lucy had a snake draped across her shoulders. (britney spears reference? you already know.)
♡ donatello and aceto eventually come to see lucy as a part of the family, while steven does the same for trish. lucy and trish call each other the sisters they never had.
if i had to describe diva riot's overall aesthetic, i'd say it's very bratz inspired. i literally looked up lines i could use for inspo 😭 anyway!! when they're performing, trish's main color is pink while lucy's is orange.

A Local Habitation Re-Read: Part 1
Ha ha, SO: my break was a little bit longer than I expected it to be, but I'm so excited for the next books that I decided to keep going with my re-read. Hopefully I'll keep going for more than one book this time!
As always, this is not a spoiler-free recap, and please come talk to me about stuff!
Chapter One:
Kerry and Stacy!!! We don't see Kerry very often, which is a shame, because I love it when she pops up. Hopefully she'll show up more in later books. (Also: Stacyyyyyyyyyyyyyy)
Tybalt's first appearance! And Toby's continued *flawless* understanding of her and Tybalt's relationship. I'm totally sure he's there because you're in debt to him, Toby; it doesn't have anything to do with how you almost died three or four times in the last book, or how he wants to check on you to see if you're okay.
And finally, she gets her leather jacket! I'd almost forgotten that it was Tybalt's jacket first, and then it was SUPER disorienting in the first book when she didn't have it.
Seeing how Toby's relationship progresses both with Tybalt *and* the Shadow Roads is honestly one of the most interesting parts of my re-read. It's fun seeing her go from HATING the Shadow Roads and being entirely dependent on Tybalt to navigate them to being the one to get Tybalt off of them more than once. It's such a natural progression in the books that it's super jarring to go back to where it started.
Chapter Two:
There's a lot of reasons that I want an October Daye TV show; seeing how rose goblins would be depicted is very high on that list.
Toby and Sylvester's non-conversation about coming to live in Shadowed Hills makes me wonder if Toby will eventually give up her residence in the mortal world and permanently move to the Summerlands. I don't think that she'd move into someone's court, given that Tybalt probably wouldn't be comfortable living in the Divided Courts even after he gives up his position as King of Cats. Maybe she'll establish or takeover a knowe if/when she re-establishes Home?
One of the reasons for Toby not wanting to live in Shadowed Hills being that Rayseline would kill her in her sleep is another great example of how the relationships in this series progress (or regress). I would never, in a *million* years, have thought that Rayseline would eventually ASK Toby to let her come live with her.
First mention of Duchess Riordan!
I think Toby gets better about tempting fate in later books, but *wow* is she bad about it here. 'How many precautions did I need?' Be the Serpent!Toby would never.
Chapter Three:
Luidaeg!!! She shows up MUCH faster in this book, although I don't think we ever see her in person? I have to say, as much as I love Toby's and the Luidaeg's relationship now, I'm surprisingly fond of the 'Good night, Westley. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning' era of their relationship.
'Be careful out there. Don't go into the dark alone; don't let their eyes fool you. Remember what you're looking for. Don't trust what the blood tells you. Always look back.' I don't think Toby was *terrible* at following this? But maybe Toby should've taken the Luidaeg giving her vaguely prophetic warnings as a sign that this was going to be a lot more dangerous than babysitting duty.
I wonder if the Luidaeg is worried her geas is going to force her hand about killing Toby. Maybe the Luidaeg's hoping that she'll be able to put if off until Toby can get rid of it so she won't have to hold herself to it?
Toby talking about how the Luidaeg's lonely makes me so saaaad. And she doesn't even know!
It was Real Weird when Toby grabbed the bat (and Dare's knife) to arm herself instead of having her knives as consistent accessories. It keeps being a bit of a shock how vulnerable Toby is in the first few books - few weapons, way more killable, NO understanding of what she is/what she's capable of doing. It's fun knowing how much Toby's going to be capable of doing, but I feel, like, retroactively anxious for her right now?
That's it for now! Hopefully it won't take me too long to get back into doing this, but we'll see how it goes!

Code: July Day 6 - Mistakes
A lot of people get on Jeremie's case for not apologizing for this one, so...here's that. It's a messy, imperfect apology--but it is one.
...And also some banter because I'm ship trash now apparently
...
They don't have too much longer until light's-out sends them back to their separate floors, not that Jeremie thinks he's going to sleep tonight with this new lead. That's just real egg on his face, isn't it--all of this trouble, only to find out Franz Hopper really is alive, somehow. XANA's probably really annoyed about seemingly being totally unable to kill him, but it works out for them.
Though, speaking of egg on his face...
His keystrokes slow down. There's still a loose end.
"Um...Aelita?"
"Yes, Jeremie?" She's leaning close to him to watch his screen, but turns to look at him, the sparkle of triumph still in her eyes. Their faces are almost too close, forcing Jeremie to push his chair to the side just to be able to focus on what had been running through his head most of the day.
Jeremie clears his throat, making a great deal of effort to look Aelita directly in the eye. She's now giving him a puzzled look, but he launches into it anyway.
"I, uh, I wanted to apologize, for what I said earlier about your dad, it's true I didn't think it was possible but I got upset and said something uncalled for--"
Aelita crosses her arms, interrupting him. "Jeremie, how long have you been practicing that?"
Jeremie sputters. "I--most of today..." he relents, breaking his forced eye contact to stare at his hands in his lap. He starts rolling the sleeve of his nightgown between his fingers. "B-but I do mean it! I just...I've been trying to figure out what to say so I didn't say it wrong."
Aelita sighs, and out of the corner of his eye, he catches her shaking her head. "Jeremie." It's a reprimand, but not a harsh one. When he doesn't immediately look back up at her, she reaches out and tilts his chin up herself. "I don't care if you say it wrong. I just care if it's honest. Besides, it's not as if it would be the first time."
Jeremie whines. "H-hey! You don't have to kick me while I'm already down!"
Aelita giggles, releasing his chin. "Sorry, I couldn't help it. So, do you want to try that again?"
Jeremie glances over to his computer screen. Through the remote supercomputer connection, he's attempting to search for any other matches on the DNA string code. "...I'm sorry," he manages, resting his cheek on a hand. "I knew I messed up as soon as it came out. I'm not saying you should forget where you came from, especially since it took so long to find it, but..."
"...but you think it can wait."
Jeremie finally looks her in the face again, pained. "I still can't say I get why it can't. But--that's...not really something I can say for you, or anything..."
"I don't want to put my whole life on hold. That includes my past."
"I know..."
Aelita's posture softens. She moves over to stand parallel to him, putting an arm around his shoulders. She'd been a very touchy person ever since arriving on Earth, and it had gotten them in trouble relating to the school's PDA policy a couple of times--Jeremie had asked about it once, and she'd said something about touch not existing on Lyoko, and he'd never complained about it again. Now that her memories are back, though, he's pretty sure she's just like that. Not that he's complaining.
"Thank you for apologizing," Aelita says, frankly. "And for double-checking."
"If it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't have bothered trying..."
"And I'm sorry for leaving." She leans over to rest her head against his. "I don't regret it, but I should've at least told Yumi or Ulrich, too. The Scyphozoa..."
She lets the implication remain unfinished. Jeremie scoots himself up higher in his chair like a cat trying to push its head into a pet.
"I gotta ask," Jeremie muses, "Were you getting back at me when you went along with that whole 'oh, Jeremie said he was gonna kiss you both' thing Ulrich had to bring up?"
Aelita suddenly bursts out laughing, standing up properly. "Why can't I just want a kiss, huh? You're the one who said it."
Jeremie groans. "But I also had to kiss Odd."
"And that was an issue?"
"Well--no, but--you all know I was being facetious!"
"But Odd would've been so disappointed~..."
"You aren't answering my question!"
"Maybe I wasn't." Aelita puts a finger to her lips. "Maaaaybe I was."
"Stones!"
Both of them turn to see Jim in the doorway, an expectant look on his face. Aelita shakes her head, working out the last of her giggles. "I guess that's my cue. Please get some sleep, Jeremie."
"Well...!" Jeremie looks between Aelita, Jim (who's raised an eyebrow in an unspoken warning), and his computer. Surrounded on all sides. "...Apparently I am actually going to be doing that, now."
"You're welcome," Aelita tells Jim with a smirk, scooting past him to get out into the hallway. "We'll work on it more tomorrow."
"Understood. Goodnight, Aelita."
"Goodnight, Jeremie."

Don't you think that it's a bit dodgy how 13 basically kills a TARDIS to kill the Daleks and never gets called out on it?
Oh it's super messed up she did it, it's also a bit messed up she wasn't called on it, either, lbr, but this has been one of those things i'm not sure how i feel about. Because hm, hello, that was a murder. That they didn't face consequences for, or even a call out. But also, it's not the first time the doctor's done a murder and not been called on it or faced any consequences for, it happens occasionally.
I know it's happened more than once, but hilariously the only one i can remember rn is one also written by chibnall. Maybe he just has a ~thing (I am talking about dinosaurs on a space ship, which is an episode i hate and probably only remember Because i can't stand it, but still). I distinctly remember rewatching the episode and thinking to myself that I could add that to my list of episodes where the doctor offs somebody, and now I can't remember the others, which is typical, really. Though, I personally think 12 pushed the guy, because he'd never have jumped on his own, so that moment's on the list.
(this whole list was a Thing to start with bc i find it fascinating that the doctor sometimes casually does genocides and doesn't catch Half the fandom crap for it than they do if they kill one person. Something something about crimes that we are able to comprehend and feel emotionally and those we aren't. Like, I cannot comprehend the total annihilation of a species in a single second at all, but I can comprehend a single death and have an emotional response to that one. I find it fascinating ngl).
But to get back on subject, in the end, I think my real answer to this would be to say that it depends on Why she's not called on it. When it aired, people in fandom immediately clocked what she'd done was bad and messed up, so obviously a telling was not strictly Necessary in that people worked it out for themselves.
But, was she not called out for it in the show bc A) they didn't believe it was Necessary to do so bc it wasn't supposed to be bad, B) they didn't believe it was necessary to do so because they realised the audience members both old enough to understand and familiar enough with the snow to know tardises are alive would realise what had happened Without mentioning it and know what she'd done was bad without a hand hold or C) she was not called on it simply because there was nobody To call her on it.
Or it could be a mix of the three different things above. Like, they thought it was messed up for her to do it, but she simply was not called on it bc it was exactly like a few of her other greatest and very messed up hits. Nobody had the context to call her on it, so she wasn't called on it even though it Was messed up just because nobody knew it was messed up.
I like, work on a case by case basis as to whether media should call out its characters for bad behaviour and if it's wrong for them not to because you can't paint everything with the same brush and have any sense of nuance, so I guess I think it depends on if you think it's acceptable or not for a show to portray a character doing something bad that is obviously bad without mentioning it, and if that not doing so implies any kind of acceptance of it. I don't think in general the lack of call outs in media imply acceptance, personally, but that doesn't mean there aren't times when call outs Are necessary.
But I do genuinely think it depends on their reasoning as to if it's actually dodgy they didn't do it or not. Like, if they didn't call her on it bc she apparently did nothing wrong, that's dodgy as hell. If they didn't because they portrayed something bad and trusted the audience to get that without being told, that's ambiguous to me and i am personally unsure how i feel about this instance, and since i've not worked it out in two years, I don't expect to any time soon.
If they didn't do it for watsonian reasons involving the lack of informed knowledgeable characters actually there to call her on it, then i'm fine with that in a vacuum? The fam don't ever actually work out if they think the tardis is alive or some kind of super argumentative AI and that 13 implodes one would probably suggest the ai thing to them, lets be real (even though they'd be very wrong, she hides her worst from them). Jack has basically been trained by the doctor to not ask too many questions at this point by the doctor treating him awfully when he does, And on top of that, he's more ruthless than the doctor to start with and I doubt he'd care much.
I think, in general, instead of a callout, i'd have personally liked a Consequence instead? I don't think bad actions necessarily require a call out bc audiences aren't thick and neither are kids, especially In context of the lack of people to call her out on it. But I do think that consequences should be more often utilised unless you're deliberately showing a moment where somebody Gets Away With Something.
So I'd have loved a consequence for her. Like, 13 desperately needs another tardis being alive and well to do something vital and Oh No the world is going to burn to a cinder bc she killed the last one in a callous last ditch plan which suddenly makes it very clear exactly What she did by killing one! So she's slapped in the face by it even though she didn't have anybody to call her on it at the time. The audience is reminded that what she did was wrong without compromising characterisation, ~viola.
TLDR, it depends on Why she wasn't called on it as to if i think it's necessarily dodgy she wasn't (personally i'd have called her on it, but I don't think it's an automatic black mark she wasn't considering the circumstances of there being nobody would could effectively do so), but i do think it's dodgy she didn't catch any consequences for it, actually? idk, i would have done it differently but i'm a terrible writer so I don't know how. I also would like to know the plan for this show pre-pandemic so i can see what didn't happen through necessity via episode cuts and what didn't happen bc nobody thought it was necessary. It's so hard trying to pick apart anything post rotd without knowing this.
