haechan would say that his standard of living had increased exponentially since your second anniversary. 

the two of you had become more open with each other, communicating your frustrations and needs more easily. there was also a faint buzz of something in the air, moments when you would look over at him and he would feel a blush spread across his cheeks, burn low in his stomach. it felt a little like he was falling in love with you for the first time — it had been a while since he had felt so vulnerable and loved by you. 

"what are you thinking about?"

but perhaps the most significant improvement made to his life was the way he could now reflect on your loving and healthy relationship with his face nuzzled against your boobs.  

"love you so much," he mumbles against your skin, placing a small kiss on your cleavage. "that's what i'm thinking about." 

he feels your hand come down to stroke his hair gently, and he closes his eyes at the feeling. sunday mornings with you in bed — you scrolling through your phone while he's given the freedom to love on his favorite parts of you, have become just another routine that started ever since your second anniversary. 

focusing on freckling kisses on your warm skin, he's therefore completely unprepared for when you card your fingers through a handful of his hair only to give it a light, but still significant, tug. 

the sensation sends a feeling shooting down his spine, a slight shudder to his body as he lets out a small gasp muffled against your chest. feeling something stirring in the pit of his stomach, his legs begin to twitch against the bed, and he nuzzles his face into your chest. 

"again, please," he mumbles. 

he feels the giggles you let out right from where his face is pressed up against your chest. kicking his feet, he whines lightly in protest.  

"what's so funny?" 

"found something else you like," he hears you muse. "you're so sensitive, baby."

frowning, he scrambles to push himself up into a sitting position. the visual is slightly amusing — his hair mussed up, his lips swollen, eyes narrowed. 

"it's not fair," he states. you reach out a consoling hand to him, and even as he continues to grumble, he still intertwines your fingers gently, a contrast between his unhappy tone and his tender actions. "you have too much power over me." 

"what are you talking about?" you laugh, and he scowls. 

"you know." he mumbles. "you can just flash your tits at me and i'd do anything you ask-" 

"i can?" 

"-and now you know i like it when you pull at my hair," he whines, a permanent pout forming on his features. "it's like there's nothing i can do that makes you go crazy." 

"that's because i love all of you," you soothe. "all of you makes me feel crazy." 

"do you have any kinks you're keeping from me?" 

"you're my kink," you tease, but your smile drops when he scowls. "sorry." 

there's a pause. haechan looks at you, hard. scanning your face, his gaze doing a slow drag down and up your body, his expression darkening. something had shifted in the air, and suddenly you're a little scared to breathe too hard. 

"haechan?" 

"i'm going to find it," he breathes. 

"what?" 

"i'm going to find it, and then i'm going to make you beg for me to fuck your brains out." 

"what the fuck?" 

but haechan shakes his head, and when he next refocuses his eyes on you, his eyes have the familiar twinkle in them. moving over to you, he cups your face in his hands and plants a kiss on your cheek. 

"love all of you too babe," he beams. "i'm going to go make breakfast, okay?" 

and with that, he all but skips out of the room, leaving you sitting on the bed, feeling unsettled and also just a little bit excited.

Shaded- includes lineart, more detailed coloring compared to flat colors, simple lighting/one source of light;

Painting- either pieces with no lineart (regardless of type of lighting), or those which have lineart + complex lighting/two or more sources of light.

ok but in all seriousness the line "let the flesh submit itself to gravity"means so much to me its about allowing yourself to continue living and not feeling compelled to record every moment and be perfect all the time and letting yourself live in the moment that is now. its about not feeling the need to preserve every single good memory because there will be more and maybe the reason theyre so important is because the full meaning and weight of them cant be recorded. its about letting yourself age and grow and rather than mourning your lost youth you should be celebrating the continuation of life and new experiences. for someone whose memory is bad and feels the need to record and save every little thing its really hard for me to live in the moment sometimes because im so busy trying to save and preserve it, but its important to live in those moments and trust that even if i cant remember exactly what happened, it was still worthwhile and important to me and it made me happy and thats what i should care about

i just realized that whenever i think abt the character relationships in victorious i ignore tori completely bc i hate her character so much. she sucks shes so self centered and when shes not being self centered, shes being nice to the degree of disregarding everybody else /but/ the person shes trying to help or do something nice for. i never once saw her have a cute moment with another character and thought "oh thatd be a cute ship" like i do for almost every single other character bc i dont care about her

childe: the ‘gimme one more chance’ ex that fucking ruins your life — dating life, to be exact. he doesn’t even try to hide the fact that he wants you back, it’s just painfully obvious. it’s difficult trying to date after — mostly because people refer to you and know you as ‘childe’s s/o’ despite being broken up. but he loves to make it known that you two used to date, he’s so proud about it too come get this man. always one of the first people to comment when you post on instagram and swipes up on your stories to complement you. it’s a little embarrassing sometimes but you can’t stay mad at him, it’s his way of looking out for you — you just wish he’d do it in a more subtle fashion. when you start talking to him again as friends, you tell him about dates and people you’re going out with. and what a coincidence that he also happens to show up? not in a creepy way though, he comes to check up on you with some friends! if it seems to be going well, he’ll swallow his pride and get the hell out. but when you get stood up at this restaurant he’s already swooping in to save the day, swiftly pressing a soft kiss to your temple and muttering a quick apology before taking a seat. he swears he can die the happiest man alive seeing the smile on your face — mission accomplished!

diluc: the 'awkward/formal' ex — it's not that he has a grudge against you, he just doesn't know how to act! you're on pretty good terms, saying hellos to one another and asking about your day. your breakup is pretty painful — you're on the market and talking to other people and he can't help thinking 'that used to be me'. but even despite all of this, he keeps his distance because 'he's a gentleman, and you're no longer together'. truthfully, he uses that as an excuse to stop himself from knocking out the person asking if you're free for a date sometime soon. the temptation is there, but it's not like he would actually do it. you have your boundaries, and diluc respects them more than anyone! that being said, he's so used to your relationship that he feels a bit lost without you, so he subtly checks up on you whenever he can. of course, he's so awkward to do this, so instead he sends the next best thing — kaeya! kaeya's quick with cozying up to you, asking how you are and what you've been up to, who you're talking to and the main topic — about diluc. it definitely comes as a shock to him to hear kaeya say that you missed him. what did you mean by that? yes, diluc can be formal, but when he wants something? he goes full speed ahead. it's like he's a new person, meeting you and saying that he can take you out to the amusement park you told kaeya about before actually realizing his words — and when he does, he starts cutely stammering out apologies. but it must be his lucky day, because you're already wrapping yourself around his arm with a dopey smile, saying a quick "mkay!".

kaeya: the emotionally confusing ex. he’ll randomly come back into your life with a short and simple ‘i miss you’ text that has you overthinking for the rest of the day. sure, you’ve seen him around in public or through mutual friends like civil people, but it’s been forever since you’ve talked one on one. if you’re able to push aside the butterflies pooling in your stomach and reply, he’ll take that as his chance to slide back in. teases and flirts with you the same way he used to when you first got together but then completely acts as if nothing happened when you react; it’s so confusing! does he want you or not? you can barely function when he asks you to hook up with him one more time — and with the way that he’s been buttering you up and reminding you of your shared moments, how can you refuse? of course, one hook up turns into another, and another, until you’re full on fuck buddies/a little more than friends with benefits — thats when everyone knows that you’re off the dating market. accidentally lets an “i love you’ slip out mid hook up between the two of you. but leave it to kaeya to take your breath away by laughing right after, saying “wasn’t it obvious?”.

zhongli: the ex that you’re always running into. it’s not like he plans your ‘random’ meetups (although it would make sense if you thought so), he just doesn’t know what else to do. when you used to date, your days spent together were so predictable that they basically became a routine. and now, that routine is a habit! sometimes when you do muster up the courage to talk to him, he finds himself thinking about he shared memories you had at said locations. truth be told, it only makes him fall more in love. okay, at first, your run ins were purely coincidental. but after seeing your eyes light up after noticing a familiar face? his appearances are more frequent. he almost subconsciously finds himself wandering into your favourite hole in the wall bookshop — stopping at the aisle full of your favourite genre of books, skimming through spines to see which ones you’d like the most. and if you’re not a fan of bookstores? clothes, records & games are on the list too! he buys you all of it, because he thinks it’s what you’d like (it usually is). and when you storm into the local cafe for your favourite drink after having a shit day, there he is waiting with multiple bags in hand. you’re not sure if his broken sense of money management is a blessing or curse, because he’s brought you mountains of gifts, but the tab for the suggested date is for sure on you.

xiao: the ex that acts like you don’t exist. you see him in public and make eye contact? walks past you like nothing had ever happened. he’s so unbothered that it’s scary — even when you two broke up, he was up and out as if it wasn’t even his business. he doesn’t go out of his way to block you, so it’s natural to assume that he just doesn’t care; it’s not like you’re his concern anyway. always asks “who?” when your name is brought up, ouch! but little do you know that you’re literally running laps in his mind all day everyday; this is just his response because he’s never dealt with this. ever. to say the least, it’s a big shock when he pulls up to your door nearly drenched from the rain outside with one of your missing pieces of clothing in hand because he ‘randomly found it lying around his place’ — not true! he’s spent all this time debating what to do with it because he couldn’t bring himself to throw it away! he expects that you’d take it from his hands and leave him outside — silly xiao! you’re definitely not going to leave him to catch a horrid cold. instead you open the door further and invite him in, telling him to take a shower while you make some tofu for him. he definitely doesn’t miss how you ask if he still knows his way around — like he’d ever forget.

albedo: the half-ex. you see, you’re broken up — but his family adores you. especially little klee, she’s always looked up to you. and it came as a shock that she was more hurt about your breakup than albedo despite being told that you were still on civil/good terms. truthfully? he misses you; misses the smile on his face whenever you’d agree to be the subject for his paintings that now hung proudly in the halls that you once danced along — it was heaven. of course, he’d never admit this to you, but he would to his little sister. it’s not like she’d understand anyway. he falters when you show up at his doorstep wearing that sweet smile; too bad it’s for the little munchkin running past him and into your open arms. she asks you to play and hang out with her, but really she can’t stand seeing her brother in peril, so she takes it upon herself to fix it. albedo can’t take his eyes off you awhile you play dolls with klee. he swears she’s smarter than she seems when she takes her two dolls in wedding apparel and says it’s you and ‘bedo because “(name) and albedo should be married but they’re both acting like dummies!” and with that, she runs out of the room and leaves you two to talk. god bless klee.

Okay, so I’ve been noticing some things on tumblr, and thats the amount of recognitions writers get.  I’m very aware that most content creators get little recognition, but I’m focusing on writers, because I feel like they are on the bottom of the figurative food chain.

I spend a lot of my time writing.  Why?  Well, I do it for me.  I genuinely enjoy writing.  It’s something I find fun, relaxing, and a good way to distract myself when I feel bad.  I also don’t really care about the amount of reblogs/likes I get, because I’m not writing for tumblr, I’m writing for myself.  

That doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect me.  

I love getting recognition for my work.  The reason I post is because I know I’m sharing my writing, and I know that people I don’t know are reading it.  Hopefully they are enjoying it too.  

But when I get only 5 notes on a story, that makes me think “oh no, they hate it”.  Its really disheartening to check your notifs after posting a story, and seeing nothing.  My mind gets stuck in a loop of “why am I doing this, I’m a bad writer, everyone hates it, I should just stop”  And I know that it isnt true, but there isn’t much happening to change it.  I honestly dont care about the notes, but what I do care aboout is whether or not people liked it.  And I don’t think people do when my fics are getting less than 10 notes.

Please, reblog.  I’m not saying not to like it, but liking a post doesn’t spread it.  My goal is for as many people as possible to read my fics.  But, if no one reblogs, then it will be stuck in my own group of followers.  I totally understand if you don’t have time to read it,or its just Too Much at the time- believe me, I’ve been there.  But still, you can reblog!!!!  Tag it to read later, or something like that.  you dont have to read it even.  I love getting my shit out to AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.  Even if you don’t think you would like it, maybe a follower would.  it doesnt take that long, and it makes a huge difference to me and other content creators.  Everytime i see a reblog, i fucking grin like im insane. I just think about how many people will be able to see it, how many more people will get to read my writing.  There’s always the queue function if you feel like you’ve been spamming too.  Seriously.  You have no idea how much it means, especially to smaller blogs like mine.  This also applies to kudos on ao3.  they really make writers feel good!!!

Also- please fucking comment.  It’s definetly not mandatory.  I get it if you’re having a bad day, and you just cant comment.  I get that.  But, if you can, please do.  You dont have to give me some detailed analysis or anything.  Even a keysmash makes us SO FUCKING HAPPY.  Everytime I see a comment, i grin because I know that someone genuinely enjoyed my fic.  I know they aren’t just rebloggig out of pity or anything.  When i feel sad, or like i should stop writing, i go back and look through all my fics comments.  It helps so much.  believe me, even if its in the tags, i read it.  Every single word, i fucking treasure.  It means so much to me.   Obviously, there is no pressuer, but if you have the time, please do.  Anything is apreciated so much.  

Anyways, thats all, please rb shit, please comment, please spread our creations, I know it seems like a small, meaningless thing, but you are making a HUGE difference.  This applies to all creative content, but I focused on writing because I primarily write, and writers get the least amount of recognition.

Sam and Bucky are definitely the WORST when they go to the moon to visit Steve.

They’re dressed in ridiculous tourist attire. I'm talking I ❤️the Moon shirts, khaki cargo shorts, ridiculous sunglasses, one has a giant camera around his neck, another has binoculars, fanny packs, tall white tube socks with sandals for some reason, one has a visor, the other a bucket hat, both have that zinc sunscreen on their noses, both of them have hiking backpacks.

Monica, who's flying them up there on a spacecraft: *pointing to the hiking backpacks* This is a day trip. Sam and Bucky: WE'RE GOING TO THE MOON. *series of unintelligible sounds due to them talking over each other with MOON thrown around every once and a while, Monica slowly giving up*

They keep breaking the rules the minute they get there.

Fury: Don't touch the Lunar Rovers! Sam: *sitting in the rover* I don't see a don't touch sign. Fury: It's...It's right there. In front of the rovers. Bucky: *leaning on a rover* Still don't see it. Then, they finally see Old Man Steve for the first time in forever and they mercilessly dunk on him and poke at him for being an actual old man now and bug him about him never visiting

Sam: What do you do up here for fun, geezer? Space shuffleboard? Bucky: Wow. Do you try to find pants that go up to your nipples or did your pants just evolve with you as you aged? Old Man Steve: Seriously, I invite you up here to visit, and this is how you treat me? Sam: Maybe we'd be nicer if you visited sometimes. Bucky: Yeah, and where is our "My Best Friend Went to the Moon and All I Got is This T-Shirt" t-shirt, grandpa?

And all Old Man Steve can think is, “Oh right. This is why I never invited them here."

So, I’ve been thinking about Jealous Bucky and what that might look like, and it just got my brain onto the idea of Bucky assuming everyone they meet is in love with Sam but also deserves Sam more than Bucky, so he ends up being the biggest drama queen for seemingly no reason.

Like, Monica asks them both out to drinks after a mission? Bucky tells Sam “No, it’s okay, it’s better this way, go with her,” dramatically turning away and sprinting as fast as a car out of the situation (Sam just like “But…you were my ride back home??? You didn’t even take your motorcycle??? It’s going to get impounded???”).

Or, Torres asks if they’d both help him fix his wings after a messy fight and Bucky’s just like “No. It’s okay, Sam. Help him. You deserve happiness. Goodbye forever,” as he jumps off the building (Sam confusedly watching Bucky fall, doing a sad flip before landing superhero-style, yelling, “You think extra work makes me happy??? Also, we live together????”).

Or like Scott invites Sam to bring his family to Cassie’s birthday dinner and Bucky is just like “No. No words. I know he can take care of you. You’ll have the best life together” before he gets onto the ledge of the boat they’re on and swan dives off, butterflying back to shore faster than the boat (Sam, confounded, yelling, “What does that even mean??? Also, he’s dating Hope right now??? And why are you even leaving, the dinner is next month???”).

Bucky Barnes making matzah ball soup from the box like his mom made it with matzah balls the size of Alpine’s head. Celery, carrots, onions, chicken broth, celery leaves; the aroma reminding him of the year his parents moved them from the farm in Shelbyville to a cramped apartment in Brooklyn above his Uncle’s speakeasy, how the smell used to fill the entire two bedroom apartment, Bucky holding Becca up to show her what was cooking, what Bucky was helping Ma make.

He glanced over at the menorah. Bucky had told Becca’s granddaughter that she didn’t have to give Bucky the menorah, but she had said it was alright for Bucky to have, that he deserved something from his past that was his.

It had been made by his ma, she liked to dabble in pottery in her spare time when she wasn’t working at the speakeasy. It looked terrible, and Bucky was pretty sure one of those candle holders things would break off soon, but he loved it to bits. It reminded him of that tiny apartment with his packed together family, trying to celebrate a holiday with the splurge on box matzah ball soup and a vinegar pie when times were especially tough.

Bucky wasn’t going to make vinegar pie, no. But he’d make some latkes as well, that caramel ube pie Bucky learned how to make last week, double checking on the homemade dark chocolate gelt and the dreidel he carved out in his spare time.

The doorbell rang, Bucky a little nervous; they didn’t celebrate, but he wanted the Wilsons over for the first night of Hanukkah, go through the whole tradition and show it to his new family, and they’d been happy to oblige his selfish little request, Sam’s eyes warm as he smiled, telling Bucky, “Of course we’ll come. Thank you for inviting us.”

Bucky’s grandniece walking over to the door with her kid on her hip, greeting the Wilsons at the door, Sam handing her wine as they all said, “Happy Hanukkah!”

Bucky’s grandniece looked between Bucky and Sam, her eyes twinkling at the recognition of something, telling Sam she was honored to meet Captain America, but more honored to meet the man keeping an eye on her gruncle, letting her daughter down so that she could talk amongst AJ and Cass, the three of them heading over to the gelt and dreidel.

Bucky’s heart swelled at the scene; two parts of him meeting together on a holiday that wasn’t the most important but a good one all the same, both of them genuinely happy to meet each other.

Sam walked over, leaning to get a good look at the soup simmering on low, grinning as he said, “I’ve never had matzah ball soup before. Those matzah balls are gigantic.”

“Yeah, Ma liked giving everyone one giant ball,” said Bucky, feeling a wave of memories hit him, Bucky helping his mom set the table, get the bowls ready, “They’re soft enough to cut with a spoon, so don’t worry.”

Bucky felt Sam’s hand on his back, rubbing lightly. Bucky was leaning towards Sam, he knew he was, a force slowly pulling Bucky towards Sam always.

“Thank you for inviting us,” said Sam softly, “We appreciate it. I appreciate it.”

“Of course,” said Bucky, smiling at Sam, “You’re all family to me.”

I kind of love the idea of Sam waking up for his morning jog, Bucky grumbling "Have fun" before going immediately back to sleep, Sam coming back after an hour, taking a shower, putting on comfy Saturday clothes as he lays on top of the bed's covers, rereading the Lord of the Rings, a sleeping Bucky wrapping his arms around Sam subconsciously, the two of them just having an easy Saturday morning.

Intro & My take on KM

Hi!

I’m new around here so it’s supposed to be (not so short) introduction, since I don’t know how to start a blog heh. I hope to sprinkle my 0.5 cents into the KM conversation and maybe to bring a new perspective from someone, who is not a part of the typical English-speaking West.

Who /the hell/ Am I?  

(please, consider it to be said with NJ’s voice from Intro: Persona :D)

I was born in Siberia (it’s in the Asian part of Russia), currently live in the European part of the country while studying at a Uni (European in terms of geography, not in terms of everything else i’m definitely not shading rn lolllll). English is not my first language, I’ve just kind of learnt it to some extent. Due to this it takes me more time to write a post; and I may (and will) make some grammatical & other mistakes. Plus I’m lazy AND busy with Uni, so I won’t even promise to be consistent in posting smth lol. But I thought I need more practice in terms of writing in English, so here I am, actually scribbling something. This feels weird, because I’ve been around stan Tumblr since 2015, but never ever interacted, just read.

How I ended up around Jikook/Kookmin (and BTS) & My (long&messy) take on this matter

Although I had heard of BTS before, I became an Army only in October 2018. I had kinda avoided them, because you know... boybands.... sing songs about romantic love and how they love girls.......... (+I had been around Twitter when 1D been at their peak and I remember a quite toxic community of fans, whom always had scared me). Shortly, hello stereotypes. Obviously, after I got engaged I felt terribly sorry that I had been sleeping on them, but what is done cannot be undone. 

Someone I knew back then reposted one of their MVs and I, during my sad hours of procrastination, decided to watch it. Then I saw their live performance with the same song. And I thought “wow these guys can sing and dance and the music is kinda cool, i need to check this out maybe??” 

Then a funny thing happened. One of the next videos I watched (the same person had it added to their page) was a 2016 BangtanBomb where JM and JK practiced their Coming of Age dance.

Well, that was precisely me after I watched it. I don’t even know how to explain this, it was kind of a gut feeling? Whatever you call it, I started to get suspicious and couldn’t even explain to myself why. /actually now a do have questions to this vid and the main one - why does everyone cringe that much? if it’s a girly choreo than they had done some “girly” moves before. why is there such strong reaction??/

I started to get deeper and went to some ru-shipper communities. Shipping culture among Russian speaking fans is... well, weird to some extent, but I maybe address this topic some time later. You need to consider that (as far as you probably know) Russia is quite homophonic country and sadly is not the greatest place for LGBTQ+ community at the moment. The non-frienly influential attitudes hanging in the society + the general shippers’ weirdness = the result is not that nice honestly. 

I struggled for some time in order to find more mature people (not just in terms of age but in general sanity), failed, ended up with some EXTREMELY toxic ru-fans of TK, which was/is the most popular pairing here, spent among them like 15 minutes and ran away horrified. After that I didn’t even try to engage with shippers or believers or whatever of any pair and just decided to enjoy the music and the content (which is a great idea, highly recommend!)

After a couple of days I discovered that JK makes videos. I love video, films and visual art so I immediately found them on YT, saw the titles with names of different cities from all over the world and was like “Oh that must be so cool, he’s visited so many outstanding places I’ve never been to, so I really need to watch it! I shall enjoy some beautyyy”. Then I clicked on GCFt.

Well, what can I say. I did enjoy some beauty, but not the type I had initially anticipated. The biggest clickbait in my entire life. JK should be proud of himself.

I had already known Troy back then and I known the song’s lyrics so it would not be an underestimation to say - the video just blew my mind. I was like - hold on is this real? seriously?? no really really????? he manage to get away with something THAT obvious?????? dude how

As a person who edited videos AND is not a native English speaker, I don’t buy the explanation “oh he mustve didnt get the lyrics lmao”. You just don’t do that. You don’t. DON’T. You google and translate every shit you don’t understand, every word and idiom you’ve never encountered, because otherwise the possibility of an epic failure is very likely. You wouldn’t want to give your mum a video as a birthday present and then discover that you used a song with WAP-ish lyrics, right? (well maybe that would be okay in your family, I don’t judge, but that’s not the case for people I know). So don’t you dare to degrade JK’s intellectual capacities; such assumption is really offensive. He is a smart boii, he knows exactly what he’s doing in terms of his art.

So I was shocked, but decided to look for the context - maybe I missed some previous events regarding this Tokyo thing (another great idea - always check the context). Well, apparently I didn’t, because the whole narrative with the trip for two, lovely selfies etc. made my poor brain lowkey explode. (I still don’t buy the rings theory thing though)

But I didn’t give up lol! I’m a bit stubborn and it’s very hard to convince me in anything, so I decided to search for more context, more of their interactions, moreeee. Remember, the late October 2018, there were no swan lakes, RB, and even MMA18 hadn’t happened yet. 

This time I ended up watching content in more or less consistent way, and when I saw all of these scenes with affectionate JM and a cool badass i-don’t-care-about-anyone-i’m-a-manly-man-with-no-feelings-whatsoever JK, I just hysterically laughed. 

Homophobic Russia, remember? I recognized this. Growing up here being LGBT myself, taught me the same type behaviour during my high school days. When a girl I kinda liked but didn’t what to admit it to myself was nice to me or (oh god) flirted with me, I did something similar. It’s like a huge panic mode. Being an introvert doesn’t help either. The funniest thing is that you may not entirely realise what exactly is going on in terms of your own feelings, especially at that age (16-18ish). In my personal case, I thought I liked her but as a friend, only later to realise that well not as a friend oops :DDD The second thing (already not so funny) is that you actually consciously or unconsciously try to avoid the subject as much as possible, as long as possible and pretend that nothing is going on. We’re just bros. Stop doing this stupid gayish thing and don’t look at me like that, you’re annoying. If you ever do this again I (gently) kick you. I’m straighter than a straight line in my math textbook. IDK, but probably that’s your brain is somehow trying to protect you. Again, in my case&position I knew that the consequences for any non-straight person being outed would be bad (TW not to the point of being killed bad, but to the point of being excluded from a big part of society). So for me it was a mixture of the internalized homophobia + lack of self reflection + just being a bit emotionally slow + very! straight community around. Shit happens, I was a teenager and made my share of mistakes, but that experience helps me to recognize the same pattern of behaviour up to this day.   

So coming back to KM, because the post is already waaay too long and I just ramble. It’s been 2+ years for me being a part of this fandom, and what can I say... Things become more intense and eventful with every year passing by ;) Funny how I felt that vibe from the 2016 dance practice video. Seeing the Black Swan performance a week ago almost had me choked, no joking. They are amazing.

However, and I would like to emphasize that, I do not incline that KM are 100% romantically involved and/or gay or whatever. I tend to treat people with respect and not to make too much assumptions about their private life. That’s not my business. However, I’m also not a fan of heteronormativity, so I’m just sitting here and observe everything that’s going on putting some distance and not forgetting being generally polite and critical thinking. But if they are just straightest besties please give them an Oscar before Grammy

Anyways, I hope this blog won’t kick the bucket from the very start and I will post something every now and then. You can always ask me questions about some BTS/Jikook related stuff or something about Russia and a Russian view on mass culture topics, since I’m pretty sure some of you have very stereotypical view of what is going on here :) However, do note that I’ve never been to America or Europe, therefore I may not be aware of something verrrry obvious to you or just have a completely different experience. 

P.S.  And yeah, I’m used to say Jikook, since it’s the name which is used much more frequently in Russian.  i like it better and what will u do haha

If you’ve known me for long enough, or just really had a quick look at my posts, the answer to this one would be pretty obvious.

In all seriousness, I do genuinely enjoy the character for legitimate reasons...

...or not.

This might be a bit of a stretch to consider a redesign, since the Forever Knight isn’t technically based on a singular character. (Fun fact: RB FK was an unused concept from the classic series) Although I’ll still count him as one since he’s based on a pretty large element from the classic series.

I think the reboot incarnation of Forever Knight is honestly a lot better as both concept and execution-wise. Just the idea of a singular villain seems much more appealing than a largely faceless xenophobic organisation, mostly because it’s easier to focus on a particular element without the plot getting convoluted.

Onto the execution, the ones from the classic are honestly extremely mediocre. We’re introduced to a few of them in the original series just for them to never appear again, and I guess killed off screen in Ultimate Alien. Overall they’re just not very interesting as a whole. As for the reboot counterpart, he gets a lot more focus throughout the season to at least become memorable, with only really the finale being underwhelming. He’s also one of the few characters in the reboot who isn’t treated as an absolute joke so that’s an automatic plus. We also actually get to see the build up to the negative 10 (6?) instead of everyone just appearing out of nowhere without much explanation regarding why they’re there. I also prefer reboot FK’s motivation over the classic although it’s still pretty underdeveloped, but it’s at least more sympathise-able than straight up genocide.

Onto the design, I just really like the reboot design. Period. There’s not much to be said here other than the fact that I have a knack for cyberpunkish and edgy-looking designs, so this one just hit the base for me. Iron Man is also one of my favourite MCU characters so him being based on that only makes it better. (Film theory: Forever Knight is Iron Man reincarnated after he died in Endgame)

As for the powers, there really is no competition. The Forever Knights in the classic series are basically the Storm Troopers of Ben 10. Whereas the reboot version can actually put up a decent fight (and having some of the best choreographed fight scenes in the show), and is actually one of the few antagonists Ben has never directly beaten in a fight. I’d make the Tony Stark comparison again but I already did in the previous paragraph.

Finally, personality. Honestly there’s even less of a reason to make this comparison. The FK from the classic are largely faceless, and the ones who do get noted barely have any screen time to establish their character. Reboot FK is arguably the most intelligent character in the series. He’s essentially what an evil version of Kyoko Kirigiri (another one of my faves) would look like purely from a personality standpoint. Smart, logical, stoic, mysterious, but also eerily understanding of other people’s emotions and motives... perhaps he’s the Ultimate Detective as well?

I could honestly go on for longer but I feel like this wall of text is already way too long.

Honourable Mentions:

Yes, I like other characters as well.

Charmcaster - I actually prefer the classic version of the character, but I still like the direction they took in the reboot. She’s much more sympathetic and relatable now, and honestly she would’ve been more popular if they made her design a bit more appealing.

Vilgax - This is a pretty popular choice, which I can definitely see why. While the OS one is arguably more intimidating, the reboot version has more character and is miles better than the UAF/OV incarnations.

Phil - Honestly there’s not much competition to begin with, so he’s kind of just better in every aspect.

Anyways that’s about it for this post. Hopefully there’ll be less walls of text for the next couple posts I do.

I find it strange that Sebastian was a World Champion when he was Charles’ and Max’ age. I mean I feel like both of them are too young for it but on the other hand, yeah that’s the meaning of “the youngest WC”. What strikes me most is the way Seb approached racing at the same age with Max and Charles. Sebastian always seemed like... Madly enjoying driving first and thinking about winning the second (in my opinion) whereas Charles and Max seem so ambitious and result oriented. What do you think?

Oh, this is a fantastic question! 👀 Buckle up, this is about to get lengthy.

I went back to rewatch the podium bit of Monaco 2011 for...research purposes...at one point... and he was like...23 there? Almost 24? And I was like...Here’s this guy who’s already got one championship under his belt and now he’s on his way to another and I have achieved nothing noteworthy in my life. Okay, so that’s a me problem. But it’s amazing to see, yeah. 

Seb’s a Red Bull Drivers’ Academy alum (or Red Bull Junior Team, whatever) like Max and Daniil and Alex and Pierre, but he had the relative luxury of being sort of...alone in his class. And I mean, I think it’s fair to say that the RB environment was always cutthroat. (There was a brilliant post about this floating around somewhere on here, but of course I don’t have it saved. If anyone has it feel free to link!) But here’s the thing: sure, other drivers graduated from that program to Red Bull (Klien, Liuzzi) or the sister team Toro Rosso (Scott Speed, Sébastien Buemi, Jaime Alguersuari) but Seb was easily the biggest talent in his time bracket (2001–2007, spending 2007–2008 with TR and then obviously getting his big break with RB between 2009–2014.) By the time Daniel graduated to TR Seb already had two titles under his belt (2010, 2011.) Jean-Eric Vergne came in around the same time as Daniel (2012–2014.) The two have...history...but basically Red Bull started being Messy around that time and they hindered Jev’s career in favour of Daniel when they pitted them against each other, so I guess we won’t ever know the full extent of Jev’s potential. 

There was also more stability and less experimentation in the team at the time. Seb and Mark wanted to straight up murder each other sometimes, but they still kept them on as teammates for five seasons despite all the conflicts and tension and crashes and drama. Nowadays they’d probably swap one of them out pretty quickly if that were the case. Because again, they can, because they have so many drivers in the potential pool.

After Daniel, I think, that’s when when things really started ramping up. I guess they started feeling the pressure and wanted to essentially find/create a Seb 2.0. as his time with RB slowly came to an end. Between 2012-2014ish RB were juggling four potential talents - Daniil, Max, Alex and Pierre - all while having Seb and Dan, their graduates, in the Big Team. Seb’s consecutive wins and the fact that they had such a talent pool to choose from made them a little...greedy, I think. These kids had to face a level of pressure that I don’t think Seb ever did. Then there are obviously the post-Seb years and The Max Factor, and Red Bull getting so haughty that they started treating their non-Max drivers as cogs in the machine, disposable and easily replaceable parts. Again, referring back to that elusive post, this isn’t new. They’ve done this before, ending people’s contracts before the season is up or refusing to tamp down rumours which inevitably messed with the drivers’ heads. But in the past couple of years they’ve dropped all pretenses and stopped being remotely subtle about it. And it’s a vicious cycle, and it’s not going to stop until they seriously overhaul their entire system and philosophy. 

It’s also worth noting that Max is the youngest driver to ever compete in F1. This kid was already throwing F1 cars around the track before he was even legally allowed to drive a road car. Let that sink in. This is mostly due to the fact that his junior career was shortened/he was promoted faster than other drivers up to that point - he notably didn’t compete in GP2/Formula 2, being promoted to the RB Junior program in 2014 and then getting a drive with Toro Rosso after only competing in Formula 3. I believe they’ve changed the rules since and they require drivers to be older now (the minimum age for a superlicence is now 18 I think?). Initially the FDA considered doing the same with Charles but ultimately they made him compete in Formula 2 to give him more time and allow him to become a more complete driver, and only promoted him to Sauber in 2018. But yeah this definitely added to the overall pressure put on young drivers by considerably lowering the threshold of what’s considered “old” when being promoted to F1. I think that’s also part of the mentality/attitude shift. There’s this push to create younger and younger drivers so they’ll “be around” for longer (i.e. they have more seasons/chances to win you something big.)

Then on the other side of that you’ve got Ferrari. They were admittedly kind of late to the game and the beginnings of their Drivers Academy were quite difficult - Jules was their first recruit, back in 2009. A couple of other drivers came and went without making much of an impact. Even Checo had a brief FDA stint between 2010-2012 before he ceased being a member by virtue of joining McLaren back in 2013. Same thing happened with Lance when he joined Williams. So we’re in the early to mid 2010s and none of the FDA members made it to Ferrari. There were even rumours of the whole initiative being disbanded for a while. After a management change and an expansion, they added Antonio Fuoco in mid-2015 and, notably, one Charles Leclerc in early 2016. And here’s where the fun begins, because Charles, so far (until Mick later this year) is the first full-fledged FDA member to have made it to Ferrari. He’s essentially Ferrari born and raised. He’s a resounding success, and that gave them the courage (and $$$) to add more and more young drivers to the roster. Now you’ve got Mick (who’s just graduated to F1), Marcus, Callum, Giuliano, Robert, Enzo, Gianluca, Arthur and Dino, and I believe someone else is joining this year. 

I would argue that some of the motivation and pressure in Charles’s case is also internal. He feels like he has to push himself to succeed, to win with Ferrari to carry on Jules’s legacy, and to make his father proud. 

Point being, there’s a precedence now. Academies have been shown to work - of course, surviving in the Big Team is a whole other thing, as we’ve seen with Red Bull in recent years. There’s always been huge pressure in F1, it’s always been a fiercely competitive environment, but now you’ve got kids fighting with fellow drivers from the same program. There’s definitely more of a case of “if I’m not performing at my best, they can easily replace me with someone else because they have so many options” which I think adds to the pressure and maybe...not takes away from the enjoyment of driving, because they definitely love what they do, they wouldn’t be here if they didn’t, but it’s definitely a different era to the early Seb years imo. Which is why they tend to come across as more...ambitious, serious, result-driven - ruthless, even. 

On top of that there’s the issue of the post-2014 reg changes, i.e. The Hybrid Era and the way no team has been able to catch up --- and keep up --- with Mercedes over the course of a season. Versus a season like 2012 where the championship was basically up for grabs until the final race and drivers across several different teams all started off with a feasible shot at winning the WDC. I think if we put the current grid into a 2012 scenario you’d have a much closer battle between, say, Charles, Max, Alex, possibly Lando and some of the other “new gen” guys too, depending on car performance. 

TL;DR: The teams’ respective Driver Academies now have more potential drivers than ever before. That, along with the shifting culture and ideas of being “too old to start in F1″ has put more and more pressure on this new generation of drivers, which makes them appear more ambitious and result-oriented.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot this weekend specifically, had a convo with dad in the car that ended up being sorta a little bit triggering ig that set it off.

No one ever talks about how alienating it is to grow up disabled. I’ve always been disabled, from the moment I was old enough to have memories of anything, my legs have been messed up. And it’s never gotten better, it’s only gotten worse. And even tho I wasn’t officially diagnosed till I was 21, I’ve always been neurodivergent growing up. But I didn’t have that diagnosis, so I grew up thinking that there was something horribly wrong with me. That it was my fault that I was hyper-interested in things that were “unimportant” to other prepubescent children my age and absolutely not interested in the other things (that was also the closet queer showing but that’s not as relevant to this particular talk post so I’m not gonna dwell on it) And no one likes to talk about what it’s like to deal with that. Because the truth is it’s a lot of SHIT.

How everyone’s default, whether abled people or even other disabled people is always “someone has it worse, stop making excuses so you don’t have to do stuff”

As if we enjoy not being able to do these things and it’s not, you know....incredibly dehumanising, upsetting and FRUSTRATING to not be able to do the simplest fucking thing for yourself without help. Cause unless you have money coming out your ass and can pay for any and all adaptations you need then you’re in trouble (I’ve been having these issues with the local ppl for years and I’m sick to death of it)

I KNOW the situation for SSI/SSDI or whatever it’s called in the states is worse and at least we have the NHS here, but that should not invalidate bad experiences that disabled people here have to go through too.

Like the people doing the “disability assessments” being a bunch of able-bodied pencil pushers who will sit there and tell you that “you’re not trying hard enough” to do something that they take for granted which is literally impossible for you and that’s the fucking point of it. Or that they do not seem to understand what the phrase “from birth” fucking means. It means I was born like this and I will DIE like this, jackass. So it’s not going to “need different care in 3 years time so you’ll have to do another assessment”

You know what’s more harmful for us? Having to re-apply with the same motherfucking information every 3 years, when nothing has changed. It’s stressful as fuck, and it’s humiliating as fuck too! I’m sick and tired of being told it’s “necessary” for me to have to basically take an exam every 3 years to “prove I struggle enough with my disability” just so I can get aid to pay for the help that I need to survive.

Trust me, I’d rather be fucking working a “proper” job too, but nobody wants to make allowances for my shortcomings and I’m done with making my pain and injuries worse than they already are just to please fucking ableds. I’m done with being a “volunteer” who’s expected to do part-time hours for no pay while I get verbally abused for “not doing a good enough job” because what I did was the best I’m physically able to fucking give you, Susan, I’m fucking crippled.

And for the most part I think I’m over the early trauma from my school years, but nobody ever talked about, or prepared me for, the physical and verbal abuse I’d endure from my classmates for shit I literally couldn’t control.

I still feel weird calling anybody a “friend” tbh, and it takes me a long time trusting people, because my “friends” during my formative years were just nice to my face so they could then get “more material” to take to the rest of the school so they could mock me and call me slurs (like the r word, the s word, and “weirdo” and “fucking freak”, and “the one who runs like an s-word horse”)

Or how I had to literally be taken out of PE/Gym lessons for my own fucking protection because the team that “lost” because they got “stuck with the fucking s word/r word freak” (me) lost, and I’d get the shit beaten out of me for....not being able bodied ig?? I’m sorry it’s so problematic for you, ableds. I hate it too.

I hate that I spent so much of my childhood with internalised ableism where I’d either feel like I shouldn’t exist at all, or I’d wish “my disability was worse and I’d be in a wheelchair, because then at least people would take me seriously and not hurt me as much”.

And I hate how nobody, but ESPECIALLY abled people, wants to acknowledge this shit. How the first response to disabled and disabled + ND people talking about the impact their symptoms have on their life is

“well someone else has it worse” or “well it’s not ACTUALLY that bad”

The pain meds don’t take the pain away,  motherfucker, they just tamp it down to a level where it’s (most of the time) “managable” and I can still attempt to do things in spite of the pain. But it still takes effort, a lot of effort, way more effort than you, an able-bodied person, have to put into doing the same thing.

The best that I can give as a disabled person is never “good enough”, because abled people will always assume that because they can do something easily/without thinking about it, that anyone else can and anyone who says they can’t is just LAZY, or STUPID or BOTH

I have a lot to say and not enough time to say it. It hurts, but ya’ll know what this is about so if you want my full fandom retrospective opinion thing guys, here.

I’ve been following Vivienne’s art and career since I found her on dA in 2009. I’ve basically grown up with her and have a wide range of opinions up and down her collective work. I must stress that I do not know her as a person and no matter how critical I get in my personal time if I somehow met her in real life or converse with her online again (like, back in the day we went back and forth. She was pretty nice to me), I’d be humble and congratulate her for her success.

Critique does not, EVER equate to attacking people.

But

the reason I don’t call myself a VivziePopVivzmind-fan is the exact same as to why I don’t like the proud use of ‘anti’. Let me try and explain -

The vast majority of Viv fans are just that: fans. Viv’s one of their favorite artists and they’re happy for her and obviously defensive when some mouth breather pops into their fan discussion calling her and all of them trash. Quite a lot of the Hazbin fans I know in my circle of friends are all pretty accepting and agree on the problematic notions and implications of her work.

HOWEVER, there’s a vocal minority in the VivziePop fandom that were and still are toxic. Their specific interest in Viv back in the day was toxic...and now that she’s moved on into a successful career I doubt they’ve gone away, considering the things I’ve heard. These people - they’d flood Viv’s comments sections and stuff with messages like they were talking to her when they weren’t and they’d unironically call her a god in a way that feels like gaslighting, ex: “I’ll NEVER be as good as you Viv! My art is just sooooo unpopular oh god you are incredible no one will ever like you as much as meeeee”. It made me uncomfortable. It made me not want to be around her because these people took Viv’s role in their lives so seriously and their demand for her attention...it struck a nerve.

These same fans have been around long enough to see actual shitlords - the likes of Kiwifarms and tapatalk wikis - come in and actually harass Viv. Viv’s been sent revenge porn by sick freaks who think they’re funny and believe she deserves it. No. In my non-name fan bystander opinion, Viv’s got some shit to work on, but no one deserves raperevenge porn. EVER. It was genuinely bad and yes Viv and her base have every reason to NOT TRUST these communities. Unfortunately, when these incidents happened, these particular fans took it upon themselves to gatekeep the fandom and act like Viv’s unofficial guard against any kind of decenting opinion of her, all without her say so.

((to the critics who will be all “but Viv or Faust said THIS to their fans-”, like I said, Viv’s far from perfect but regardless of how much she prolly wanted people to side with her I’m gonna guess that she didn’t want people sending transphobic death threats to DollCreep. Again, and this is coming from a bystander here, I have a feeling Viv knows about some of the toxicity but doesn’t know how/want to address it - which is a conversation all it’s own.))

This particular breed of VivziePop “fan” holds so much toxicity in her fandom(s). They aren’t the only cause, but they’re there. They feel entitled to her attention and her approval. They creep me out. Having spoken to other much-less critical admitted fans of Viv around me, these fans appear to creep everyone else out and put the rest of the fandom on edge. They’re gatekeepers. They’re creeps. Like the bronies and SU fans of yestertodayyears, they know harassment exists and that people have crossed the line - so they think any means is necessary to prevent that is automatically good. I could pile together all the incidents and folks who’ve had bad runs ins with this aftershock of Viv-obsession, but I do have a life of my own and this post is already stupid long so I’ll just list out the biggest examples and provide receipts when asked.

Critical blogs have gotten RAPE and death threats because they don’t like Viv’s art. HonestZoophobiaCriticisms, a blog I interracted with back in the day, def got one. Now Viv’s opinion of crit-blogs is that they’re “bad takes” but I can assure you she doesn’t want that shit being said on her behalf.

I’ve seen young artists get blacklisted from sites and forums cause they so much as post a redesign. Viv and co get told through the grapevine that someone’s making hatespeech and so preemptively block said person (prolly cause they’re in the middle of WORKING and can’t deal right now) only to find out after the fact that no, it was just a kid drawing their version of her characters. There’s serious miscommunication issues within the fandom about who’s ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and once you get the actual staff involved in this game of telephone you’re begging for trouble. The problem acknowledged, however, it’s souly from the “Viv never did anything wrong camp”. No word is said about how ugly the fandom is under the surface it’s all one type of person’s fault and not complicated’. Blah

I’ve only ever had ONE obsessive ‘fan’ who’d stalk me, mock me, and then redraw my art just to get attention from me. That shit fucked with my head. As a follower hundreds of miles away from Viv who’s agreed/disagreed with her through the years - I absolutely believe her when she says she hates ‘creeps’ and that she doesn’t want anyone in her fandom spreading hate on her behalf. It’s the one thing about her I’m POSITIVELY sure of. Whether she believes that said underlying harassment exists and/or is even a problem within her fandoms is anyone’s guess. That’s not what I’m here for. I’m here to write stupid blog entries like this, talk about fandoms and media and how they and the real world affect one another, and rb fan art I like. I’m cautiously optimistic fan with a side of salt.

Mixed opinions and critique within a fandom CAN and SHOULD exist. Hazbin Hotel has been greenlit by a studio! It has a product line of merchandise you buy. Helluva Boss is getting eight more episodes this coming year (yeeee:3yeeee). Two of Viv’s properties are now products. Nothing is immune from critique. And in critique you will find a lot of people who are not ‘nice’. Critique or analysis doesn’t have to be nice. There will be, in Viv’s words’ ‘bad takes’ on her writing. Maybe they will be actual CinemaSins-styled bad takes or maybe Viv is just mad that people don’t love and feel inspired by her characters the way she wants them to - it’s a fact she’s going to have to get used to.

((TBH, I’m pretty sure she’s already realized that criticism of all types need to exist. It’s just that, again, her and the SpindleHorse staff are kind of overwhelmed by all matter of takes and opinions coming their way they kinda can’t deal weeding out the fair ones from the assholes, so she lumps them all together.))

Shitposters, ironic fans, unironic fans, critical fans, just critics of Hazbin and Helluva CAN and WILL exist. They should exist and not feel threatened by the megafandom. There are people out there who are one step further and rightfully bothered by Hazbin/Helluva’s use of incorrect symbols, portrayal of certain topics, and the response by creators. These people have strong opinions and are actually disgusted by Viv. They deserve to exist too and should not be vilified because, like me, they’re commentary doesn’t consist of anything personal towards the people at Spindlehorse or the fans of her works. They can rant, they can be professional, they can be petty and they can be fair. But they will exist. You have to deal with it.

I am an ADD/OCD ridden autistic woman with serious anxiety issues who has no one to talk to half the time and so only HAS my fandom to communicate with. But that’s just it - it’s a fandom. A community. You have to learn to not think souly of yourself and of others in a community. A fandom doesn’t exist just for you or any one person. You have the right to be angry and defend or be offended. And it’s in the spirit of that that I ask, prrraaaaaay even, that I please

I DON’T TO BE AN “ANTI”. Not ironically, not unironically. ‘Anti’ should be for politics and shit like pedophiles, necrophiles, nazis, serial killer stans, Trump, racists, antisemites, terfs, animal abusers, rapists, and antivaxxers. Anti should only come into critical media analysis when these ethical issues follow suit IN TO fandom discussion. ((EX: Anime and MLP proudly waving their cp and non-con into the public eye; Hazbin appropriating cultural symbols which are not satanic; Basically anything that concerns John K or Butch Hartman.))

If your DNI list unironically consists of the entirety of one fandom:  CONGLATURATIONS! You have done the exact same thing these particular creepy Viv fans have done: monopolize the conversation. And yes, people I’m referring to, IT’S STILL A PROBLEM EVEN IF YOU’RE FIGHTING RACISM/SEXISM/HOMOTRANSPHOBIA.

There are hundreds of Vivziefans who ARE more critical, accepting of faults, interested in discussion and especially rewrite and redesign stuff who would LOVE to engage with you and give you a follow. There’s hundreds of people who no doubt agree with you!

But the thing I’ve seen these very proud AntiHazbinVivzieHelluvaWhatever blogs do is lash out at fans for continuing to like Viv and consume Viv’s art in a healthy way. What the actual fuck is your problem?

I get it. Say a crazy Hazbin fan gets on your case for even SUGGESTING Viv could be homophobic ((”SHE’SBIANDWORKSWITHGAYPPLblahablahblah”)). They get in your face, make some callouts, try to rile up support against you, leave disgusting harassment throughout your social media? Absolutely ban worthy. After that it’s perfectly understandable why you don’t want to engage with anything HHHBZPVivzierelated because you’re so fucking tired of being labeled an abuser or “just jealous” for having an opinion on a show you don’t like. I’m with you!

But,

A fan agrees that something in the canon is bad or that Viv did something they don’t like?

A fan likes your silly shitpost meme?

A fan asks if they can like Hazbin and follow you at the same time? 

A fan does fan art of something you don’t like?

If your response to any of these ^^^ things is to get LOUD and accusatory, Vivsplain them about how they’re an absolutely awful person to ever question YOUR opinion, or just block them without a second thought? You’re a petty, vendictive shit and you also need to learn to let things go. I’m sorry but you do. As I already said, Viv’s work is a brand at this point, not just the work of a singular person. As such, there are gonna be mixed opinions and you can’t judge every single one of these people by what they like. You’re a shitty critic with a shitty attitude and yes that will demean the value of what you’re saying. This is bad because, if you’re trying to point out how Angel Dust’s abuse IS handled terribly; gay rep in Viv’s work is weak and terrible; the show appropriates closed practices; the fandom makes excuses for predatory artists and creepy behavior and individuals who have sketchy pasts - I’M WITH YOU. WE NEED TO BE TALKING ABOUT THIS SHIT. Tl;dr: Once upon a time, I was in a budding fandom for something I liked made by an indie artist I watched on dA. I wanted to be a bigger fan than I was already, but was told by toxic people within said fandom that I couldn’t be part of it for reasons they’d made up in their head about my ‘motives’ against Viv. My admiration for Viv or what I liked about Zoophobia didn’t matter because I thought the story was really rushed and people weren’t being truthful with how they really felt about it - ergo, I HAD TO GO. 

Flash forward 8 years later- My opinion of Viv’s body of work has changed but I still find myself in love with her style and some of her characters. I want to be on a forum or service that gives a healthy look at the problems there are with this series and fandom...and I’m met repeatedly by petty bs where people are again at each other’s throats. And yes, I do think it’s causing more harm than good especially when you insist there’s a “x person shouldn’t be trusted” mentality when fighting actual fucking racist, xenophobic, predatory bullshit.
