Today I’m thinking about yet another AU and I have to talk about it or I will die. So how about D&D AU with tiefling necromancer Merkara and aasimar cleric Relu. 

Merkara goes adventuring for knowledge, she’s determined to find a way to resurrect her parents. But she’s easily distracted when there’s a promise of power in sight, always one step away from becoming an evil overlord or something like that. Her group has to do some equivalent of spraying a cat with water whenever she overuses dark magic again. 

Relu has no goals of his own, he just strives to become the person others want him to be. And others think that he’s supposed to be a great noble hero with pure heart just because he has some celestial blood in his veins. Relu doesn’t feel like he lives up to these expectations, he doesn’t know what he’s doing most of the time. He’s trying his best. 

They end up joining the same group on their journeys, neither of them is happy about it. Merkara has one conversation with Relu and goes, “Wow, how do you even walk with that stick up your ass?” Relu takes one look at Merkara and is like, “I don’t feel safe.” So it’s gonna be fun.
