#but people get this really weird attitude sometimes when they're followed by a cc

as a mostly outsider the boundary thing always seemed kind of odd to me, like I understand a cc can't control what gets made with their character and they shouldn't go looking for it and all that, but idk. I feel like ccs specifically put a lot of themselves into their characters, not even just personality wise but just. Effort wise? And if they ask to not be shipped or another boundary I just sort of feel like the least thing someone could do is respect that, even if like they're not obligated to? idk. It feels weird to take a character that someone has created and then say "oh well they can't control what gets made, they should expect this, this is a fandom space" when without that person the character wouldn't even be there for you to enjoy you know? I know a lot of people do the "x is my character now, I'm treating them better" lightheartedly which I agree with sometimes but idk. I just think it's kinda weird to enjoy something someone puts a lot of work into and then just ignore their other wishes sometimes even spitefully. it's not a majority but its just a weird attitude to have imo. Sorry btw if you didn't wanna talk about this anymore it's just kinda a sore spot because people have done similar stuff to me, hope ur having a good day!! <3
No all of this!!! Thanks for sharing and I'm sorry similar has been done to you that is fucked.
It is so easy to follow explicitly stated boundaries. It really is so fucking easy. I wish people would be normal forever.

hot take but barring rare circumstances, imo ccs shouldn't follow stans on twt. like at all. those circles needn't overlap, no matter how involved the cc is with the fanbase. reply to them, like tweets, whatever, but nothing more than that. it's one of those boundaries i think would benefit everyone
