#but kageyama and kindaichi look up to iwa
Being Karasuno’s Manager
🧁🍩Miss Manager loves to Bake 🍪 🍰
Tumblr media
Karasuno featuring Seijoh x female! manager (she/her pronouns)
Warnings: pure fluff
AN: This is probably the cutest anon request ever 🥹
Let me just say this
Kageyama might be “king of the court” but YN is “Queen of Karasuno” 👸
Honestly these boys absolutely worship you
Literally, they act as if they don’t have three managers
They literally will lay down in a puddle of mud while you step on them
Will do the above 👆 for any of their three managers
But you, you my love are super special to our boys
Why you ask?
Well it’s because you provide them with nutrients to survive 😌
That’s right, your love of baking and the fine art of culinary creations only helps you out with our beloved crows
You’ve learned to cater to all their needs
Filling recipes with top tier ingredients for success
Things like fruits, nuts, and even sneaking some veggies in there
Like zucchini bread or carrot cake
Listen, even if it’s in a desert, it still counts as a fruit or veggie
I don’t want to hear “tHe SuGaR cAnCeLs It OuT”
Because like these boys need the sugar to run and jump all over the place ok 🤚🏻
You bake almost daily as a form of stress release and therapy
Please you need it with the team you manage 🙄
And you always bring in the treats for the boys!
And they ALWAYS eat them up
“These are fantastic Yn what are they called?” Hinata asks
“They are Fudgy Pumpkin Brownie bites! It’s a new recipe!” You exclaim as Kageyama and Noya go in for thirds
“You fit a whole pumpkin in here Yn?!?” Hinata : D
You 👉🏻😐
“I think she means that there is pumpkin in the recipe not one per bite,” Ennoshita explains
I never claimed they were smart Yn
Anyways, you are always there to help our precious boys fill their bellies
You are in charge of snacks for games and practice, often finding joy in everything you do
So when the prelims for the road to spring nationals start, you are busy whipping up some goodies
You bake the entire weekend before, preparing for every possible scenario
Protein muffins for in between matches
Chocolate chip cookies for after they win matches
You even prepare some of your famous Strawberry shortcake cookies just incase the boys happen to lose
Not that we think they will, don’t get me wrong but it’s always nice to be prepared
Anyways, the prelims start and Karasuno dominates
Like, did we really thinking they wouldn’t 💅
Anyways, tensions run high as the boys go into their match with Seijoh
You remember the first time they fought against Seijoh and how the loss crushed them
But fueled up on your high-protein muffins, these boys are ready to kick butt!
And kick butt they do!
They beat Seijoh and prepare to meet Shiratorizawa in the finals
After the game, you notice how upset Seijoh is after their loss
You knew this was the third years last tournament and seeing them cry hurt
You thought about if it was your boys
And with that, there was only one thing left to do
So you pulled out a piece of paper and wrote a little note and stuck it in the box of cookies
As your team was preparing to leave, you grabbed your box of Strawberry Shortcake cookies and ran over to Seijoh
Karasuno rn 👉🏻👀
“Excuse me?” You said as the entire Seijoh team turned around and looked at you
“You guys played an excellent game and you deserve these,” you said handing Seijoh your expertly wrapped cookies
Oikawa accepted, saying nothing
Please you left him speechless
Too bad Kunimi’s too sad to even record this moment 😭
You smile and wave as you run back to your team
Meanwhile, back the gym the Seijoh boys are extremely sad
“Hey what did that manager from Karasuno give you Oikawa?” Kindaichi asked as Oikawa reached for the box
He reached for it, opening it as the note slipped out
Iwa picked the note up and began reading it
It read “Thank you for playing your hardest! You deserve these. Xoxo YN, Karasuno’s Manager”
“It’s cookies,” Oikawa said as he began to pass them around and Iwa showed Oiks the note
Oikawa rn 👉🏻😐🥺😭
Please the entire Seijoh team is eating your cookies and crying Yn 😩
The next few days go by
You are in the gym taking notes when a teacher comes to get you
“Excuse me?”
“Yes,” Takeda asks
“Umm there is a team of boys at the front gate here to see Yn,” the teacher says
Karasuno 👉🏻 a team…. OF BOYS 😐😑
Tanaka and Noya 👉🏻 FOR YN?!?? 😡🤬
“Oh my ok!” You say, getting up and walking towards the gates of Karasuno
Tanaka, Noya, Kags and Hinata are ready to go
It takes the entire rest of the team to hold them back 🙄
“WHAT IF THEY KIDNAP YN??” Noya shouts
“They literally showed up at the front of school in broad daylight, like that’s gonna happen,” Suga say, rolling his eyes
“Someone has never watched dateline before,” Tanaka adds
Of course, you ignore them and head for the gates
As you approach, you see the white track suits
You 👉🏻😐😳
“Umm hi,” you say as the boys of Seijoh all look at you
“Team!” Oikawa shouts and they all scream
“THANK YOU FOR THE COOKIES YN!” while bowing
You rn 👉🏻😐😳🥹
“You are so welcome! Thank you for coming!” You say smiling and going to hug them
You hug Iwa first and boy is he stiff 😅
It’s safe to say the entire Seijoh team is now in love with you Yn 🥰
Bonus
“Omg is Oikawa crying?” Kageyama says, shoving Hinata out of the way as they watch around the corner.
“Hey watch it butthole!” Hinata shouts as he pushed Kageyama out of the way.
“I’d cry too if YN hugged me,” Noya added as Tanaka nodded.
“You guys are about to have something to cry about if you don’t get your butts back to the gym RIGHT NOW!” Daichi shouted, looming over them as the boys all turned and ran back to the gym.

How would Haikyuu!! Characters react when you cheer them on? PART 2
A/N: Only Aoba Johsai will be in this part! In the first part was Karasuno! Either the third part will be Nekoma or Dateko, whatever you want first :D
Warning: Arguments, a little NSFW, jealousy
________________________________________
Oikawa Tooru:
He didn't expect anything else from you
Sometimes he hinted that he really wanted to see you in a cheerleader outfit
He shows it off to his team (and Tobio)
But after his fans also started to wear cheerleader outfits, he was annoyed
Iwaizumi told Oikawa not to act like that because he should concentrate on the game and not on you
Oikawa always takes a photo of you in that outfit, no matter when, no matter what you´re doing right now
His fans are VERY jealous of you, but they respect that Oikawa found someone he loves
They still give you looks that could kill you
Sometimes you shout his name loudly, which motivates him
You have three different outfits and Oikawa always picks which one to take next
Iwaizumi Hajime:
At first he was uncomfortable seeing you in something like that
He doesn't find you embarrassing, he just never thought you would wear something like that (especially for him)
Oikawa teases him that you look really good in that outfit
You actually wanted to surprise Iwaizumi, but you debated for a long time whether you should really continue doing it (He thought you were forcing yourself and you thought you were embarrassing him)
Iwa can hold himself together even if he thinks you look incredibly good in that outfit
After every game he gives you his jacket because you never take your own clothes with you afterwards
Sometimes you practice the choreography at home and when he catches you, he smiles lovingly at you
He's happy that you're having so much fun supporting him in his hobby
You've been touched a lot, by other guys, but after the first fight everyone knew that you belonged to Iwa
Iwa always wants to pull your skirt lower so that your thighs are covered, but then you always pout
Kindaichi Yutaro:
Poor potato is completely overwhelmed
He turns bright red and can no longer concentrate
Kunimi secretly laughs at him that Kindaichi can't handle it
After every game he always asks you if you really want to do it because he doesn't want to force you
Oikawa always makes double-entendre jokes, but Iwaizumi always takes care of him afterwards
Kindaichi asked you to warn him next time you do this
"But then it's no longer a surprise!" “Believe me, I’ll still be surprised!”
Once when you walked past Hinata and Kageyama, he gave you a kiss and grinned proudly
Kageyama and Hinata still think they just imagined it
He had to go to the bench once because he fainted when he looked up your skirt
Kunimi Akira:
He looks at you the whole time, but with a monotone expression
He sometimes got in trouble from his team for just staring at you
After the game he asked you if you would do it again and you said only if he wanted to
He wants it, so go ahead
He gets tired just watching you dance
Sometimes he has to sigh dreamily and smile when he sees you
Sometimes he plays along better, but sometimes he just doesn't concentrate at all
He always has new clothes for you (sometimes he forgets his own)
He gives everyone angry or pouty looks when they stare at you
Kunimi keeps hearing that you are the complete opposite of him
Kentaro Kyotani:
He couldn't understand his feelings
Is he angry because you just do something like that without asking if he wants it? Is he happy because you want to cheer him on so badly? Is he horny because you look so good in this outfit?
His anger wins and you had an argument the first time you wore something like that
But when you didn't do it after that, he got even angrier and he made you keep cheering him on
You made hand signs with Iwaizumi that he would show you when Kentaro freaked out again
"Kentaro, behave yourself!"
He immediately becomes quiet afterwards because he is ashamed
Most of the time he always wants to yell at you afterward, but he found out that you and Iwaizumi worked it out
Even if he doesn't show it, he thinks you're very cute in this outfit
When someone flirts with you, Kentaro stands right behind you and growls at the person

A/N: Originally published on AO3 on August 26th, and beta'd by @/r0mantic-era. Further author's note can be found on AO3.
The silence that fell was suffocating in its totality. It only lasted a few heartbeats, but Shoyo still felt pinned to the floor even though Oikawa no longer held him down.
Then, a single, heartbreaking sob tore free as Oikawa scrambled to his feet and rushed to where Iwaizumi stood, just steps from the closed entrance to the hall. He only slowed when he was just out of arm’s reach, taking careful, nervous steps towards the ghost of his lover. His hand shuddered between them, until finally, his fingertips brushed the rough material of Iwaizumi’s yukata. His gasp quivered through the silence when he was able to press his hand to Iwaizumi’s chest.
All at once, Oikawa dissolved into tears as he threw himself into Iwaizumi’s arms, nearly sending the spirit stumbling backwards from the force of the embrace. “Careful,” Iwaizumi chuckled softly, only audible thanks to the silent disbelief of their audience.
“Shut up and hold me,” Oikawa sniffled into his hair.
Iwaizumi’s shaky smile slid off of his face, and his arms tightened around Oikawa. He didn’t cry, but Shoyo saw his lip tremble before he buried his face into Oikawa’s shoulder. Iwaizumi was the slightest bit shorter than Oikawa, a detail that might have made Shoyo smile if he hadn’t been petrified from shock and fear.
They didn’t say anything, just stood and held each other, rocking ever-so-slightly on their feet as though cradling each other to sleep. When Oikawa spoke again, his voice was so soft, it seemed to slip through the cracks in the silence rather than break it. “How?”
“Hm?”
“How are you here? How am I holding you?” Oikawa peeled himself away just enough to look Iwaizumi in the eye. Even that tiny bit of distance seemed to pain him. “Is…is this a dream? Ow! Why?!”
“Now you know you’re not dreaming,” Iwaizumi huffed with a smirk, hand rubbing soothing circles where he had pinched Oikawa’s waist.
“Then how are you here?! I…I cremated you, I saw you die, you died in my arms, it’s been six years, Iwa—”
“I know,” Iwaizumi hushed him. He pressed their foreheads together and cupped Oikawa’s cheeks in the gentlest cradle, thumbs brushing over the arch of his cheekbones. “I’m sorry.”
“You better be.” Oikawa’s petulant pout melted into wide-eyed awe when he pulled back to properly look at Iwaizumi, fingers tracing over his features with a gentle touch that was viscerally familiar to Shoyo. “You look the same.”
“Yeah…”
“Six years, and you look the same.”
“Of course I do, stupid. I can’t age.” Oikawa’s face crumpled at the frank statement, and Iwaizumi’s guilt was clear in his hurried words. “Hey, hey, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have—”
“How are you here, Hajime?”
Iwaizumi didn’t answer for a moment, just cradled Oikawa’s face and gazed into his eyes. When he spoke, his voice was hoarse. “I’m here because I’m trapped. I can’t move on.”
“What…? Why?”
“Tooru…why did you curse Kageyama?”
It was unsettling, how quickly Oikawa’s features shuttered off at the name. His eyes flickered to where Tobio was creeping across the floor to reach Shoyo, but shot back to Iwaizumi as though drawn by magnets. “For you,” he murmured. “He killed you, Iwa. He had to pay.”
“Right…for me. How long have we…how long did we know each other?”
Oikawa flinched, though whether from the disapproving tone of Iwaizumi’s voice or his use of past tense, it was hard to tell. “...For as long as I can remember.”
“What did I ever do to make you think I’d want this?”
For a moment, it seemed as though Oikawa’s only answer would be to burrow into Iwaizumi’s shoulder, shielding himself from the eyes of the room and the disapproval of his love. But then, there came a quiet murmur, too soft for Shoyo to hear. It didn’t matter—Iwaizumi’s soft, fond scoff was enough for him to guess what Oikawa said. “Right…you did this for yourself. I get it, I do. I don't know what I would’ve done if I lost you. But you did it in my name, and it’s not right.” He slowly, but firmly, guided Oikawa’s face away from his shoulder, forcing him to meet his eyes. “Let them go. I can’t move on if you don’t let them go.”
“Then don’t,” Oikawa pleaded, “don’t go, Iwa, I won’t let the princeling go, and you can stay! We could have forever with each other, and I won’t have to…I can’t…I don’t know…I…”
“Tooru—!”
“I don’t know how to survive a world without you!” Oikawa choked out a breath before dissolving into tears again. “You can’t ask that of me. Could you do it?”
“I don’t know.” The words were quiet, steady. “Can I be honest?”
“Always.”
“In a way, I feel lucky. I’m lucky that I died first, so I wouldn’t have to grieve for you.”
“Then don’t ask me to do the same!”
“You have to!” Iwaizumi’s voice suddenly became firm and unbending, a sharp contrast to the hands that held Oikawa’s face. “Listen to me, Tooru. You have always been the stronger one of us. You can move past this, I know you can. You’ve already lasted six years without me.”
“I shouldn’t have had to! We should’ve had longer! It’s all that brat’s fault that we don’t, and now you want me to let him go?!”
“All the magic and power in the world couldn’t protect us from bad luck. That’s all this is. He took my life without knowing what he was doing. It was an awful accident, but you can’t take his life in return, not like this. Not on purpose. You’ve already taken six years from him. He almost did what should have been impossible. Let that be enough. Let him go.”
Oikawa didn’t say anything. Instead, his head fell forward until he could lean his forehead against Iwaizumi’s and breathe the same air as him. Shoyo didn’t move, didn’t dare to. He clung to Tobio’s hand, taking comfort in his gentle squeeze to ground himself.
“There’s been a hole in my chest since you died,” Oikawa finally breathed, almost too quiet for Shoyo to hear, “right where my heart should be.”
“Quit being so dramatic,” Iwaizumi scoffed, as though his breaths weren’t shaky from tears.
“It’s true! I’m not…whole without you.”
“That’s bullshit and you know it. You’ll heal, your heart will heal, just like any other wound.” After a sigh, Iwaizumi murmured, “I lost my life, and I’m sorry, Tooru, I’m sorry I left you—”
“Don’t apologize, Iwa, please—”
“—but you can’t lose your life, too. Six years, Tooru. Six years of your life and Kageyama’s. Let that be enough. Let them go, let me go. You won’t be alone. The others want to help you. It doesn’t have to be a new life, just continue growing this one. Please…” Oikawa shook his head, his hair dragging across Iwaizumi’s forehead. “…Please, my heart.”
A small sob fell from Oikawa’s lips. The heartbreaking sound hung in the room, balancing on the choked-up silence of everyone witnessing the painful reunion. And then, in a broken, nearly-inaudible voice, Oikawa whispered, “It’s not up to me.”
Iwaizumi fell suddenly, dangerously still. “...What do you mean?”
“The curse isn’t up to me anymore. It’s still in place because of the lack of trust between them. It can only be truly broken if they can prove that trust is there.”
No. Horror slipped through Shoyo’s veins and turned them to ice, and when he looked at Tobio, he found the same horror. Prove their trust? How? The curse was set so that only a year without seeing Tobio’s face would prove the depth of Shoyo’s trust in him. How on earth could they possibly attempt that again, now that he knew what Tobio looked like? Would Shoyo’s memories need to be wiped? Would Tobio be turned back into a wolf? What would happen to him, if he was cursed again while the former’s effects still lingered in his poor body?
“Then…what do they have to do?” Iwaizumi voiced the question echoing in Shoyo’s mind.
Oikawa opened his mouth to answer, but nothing came out. His eyes danced over Iwaizumi’s features, soaking them in with a hunger that reminded Shoyo of his own first glimpse at Tobio’s face. “If…if they break the curse and I let them go,” he finally murmured, “then…then will you move on?”
Iwaizumi’s shoulders stiffened. “...Yes. That’s the hope.”
Oikawa took another beat to answer. “You really won’t stay?”
“Tooru, don’t.” Iwaizumi shifted to pull his hands away, only for Oikawa to catch them and keep them pressed to his cheeks. “Let me go.”
“Didn’t you miss me?” Oikawa pleaded, fingers tightening around Iwaizumi’s hands. “Didn’t you miss me when you were wandering this island as a ghost?”
“Of course I did, idiot.”
“Then stay with me! I’ll heal, and you’ll be with me, and it can be like before—”
“No, it can’t,” Iwaizumi said. His voice brooked no argument, but immediately softened when Oikawa’s lip trembled. “The past six years…I’ve been a ghost, Tooru. Dead, but still trapped here. Stuck in a limbo, always the same, while the world kept changing around me. I couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep, couldn’t let myself come back here and risk anyone seeing me…I couldn’t even touch anything for the first year, not until you finally cremated me. If I stay…I will watch you grow and change, but I will be the same, stuck the way I was when that arrow pierced my heart. You can’t ask me to do that, Tooru. It’s not fair to me, to us.”
His thumb brushed the damp lashes clumping dark along Oikawa’s eye. “I’d rather move on to the next stage and pass the time there until you join me. I’ll wait however long it takes. And it better take a long time. If I see you before twenty years have passed, I’ll kick your ass so hard, you’ll be sent back to your body and wake up from the dead, got it?”
“Geez, Iwa-chan,” Oikawa said with a wet laugh, “your threats got more creative as a ghost, huh?”
“Yeah. Just for you.” Iwaizumi’s smile melted into a solemn expression and wide eyes. “So? Will you let them try?”
Oikawa leaned down to rest their foreheads together again as he kept holding on tight to Iwaizumi’s hands. He took a slow, deep breath…and nodded. Relief flooded Shoyo, sweet and overwhelming and unshakable, even under the tired glare the sorcerer pinned on him and Tobio. “You failed to break the curse because of a lack of trust. Find a way to prove it’s there.”
Tobio’s fingers tightened around Shoyo’s, so tight it almost hurt, but his voice was steady when he said, “Yes, sir. Thank you…for the second chance.”
An instinctive sneer curled over Oikawa’s lips, only to fall away when he looked at Iwaizumi again. “I’m not doing it for you. Kindaichi, take them back to his room.”
Kindaichi jolted, as though coming back to himself, before dipping into a bow. “Yes, sir. Um…follow me, please.”
As Shoyo and Tobio slowly rose to their feet, Matsukawa caught Kindaichi by the arm and leaned in to murmur something to him. Kindaichi’s eyes widened, but he nodded, mouth a shaky line. When they left the throne room, Oikawa and Iwaizumi finally looked around at Matsukawa, and Shoyo only caught a glimpse of Matsukawa moving towards Iwaizumi before the wood panels shut behind them.
Tobio was silent on the way to his room, which wasn’t strange. What was strange was the knowledge that he was silent because he was thinking. So Shoyo matched his silence, only distracting him with the pressure of their fingers woven together.
“Food will be brought to you later,” Kindaichi said as he let them back into Tobio’s room, “and I don’t think you’ll have to do your rounds today. Should I bring Kunimi to look at anything?”
Shoyo shook his head, holding his tongue until Kindaichi’s footsteps faded down the hallway and left them truly alone in Tobio’s room. “What do we do?” he finally burst out, pulling Tobio with him to sit on the floor. “How do we prove our trust?”
“I have an idea,” Tobio murmured, “but you’re not going to like it.”
Shoyo blinked. “What? Why not? What’s the idea?”
“I…I don’t think I should tell you.”
“Why?!”
“Because of trust, dumbass! If we’re going to prove anything, I need you to do what I say when I ask you, okay?”
Shoyo scowled—he hated having secrets kept from him, hated it even more when the withheld information was the key to something so important. But Tobio just frowned back, an immovable object to Shoyo’s unstoppable force, and eventually Shoyo could only huff and grumble, “Why even bring it up if you’re not gonna tell me anything?”
“So then you won’t waste too much energy on thinking.”
“Hey!”
Tobio’s frown melted into a smile, a soft, slight little thing, and Shoyo’s annoyance drained away just as smoothly. He fiddled absentmindedly with Tobio’s hand, an outlet for his nerves as he asked, “Should we…should we tell him? That you have an idea?”
Tobio shook his head, catching Shoyo’s restless fingers with a firm pressure that Shoyo knew was meant to steady both of them. “Not yet. I think…I don’t think Iwaizumi-san will leave Oikawa-san until he lets us go. So…let them have some extra time. We can say something when they bring us some food.”
“Don’t you want to go home?”
The weight of Tobio’s silence unnerved him, and the feeling worsened when dark blue eyes slowly raised to his and revealed a nervousness ill-suited for a homecoming. “I…I want you to go home,” he said slowly, choosing every word with care, “and I want to go with you. But…I don’t know what my home is like anymore. I don’t know how anyone will react, if…if anyone will be happy to see me. It doesn’t…feel like home anymore, not like…”
“Not like…?”
Tobio brought their joined hands up and pressed his lips to the back of Shoyo’s hand. “Not like ours,” he breathed into his skin.
Shoyo’s heart skipped a beat, then swelled with love and pity and anger for the man curling into himself in front of him. Of course he was scared to go home. It had been six years.
“I’ll be there,” he hissed, crawling forward until he could nudge their noses together. “We’ll make it feel like home together, I promise. And I know, I know your grandfather will be so happy to see you. How could he not be?”
“He thinks I died, Sho. And now he’s going to think I ran away from home or something.”
“So tell him what happened! He’ll listen to you, he’ll hear you out, just like he heard me out when I had to leave to live with you.” A puff of air washed over his face, before he was grabbed into a hug with Tobio’s face buried into his shoulder. “I’m a samurai of the Kageyama clan, sworn to protect the daimyo and his family,” Shoyo whispered, stroking his fingers through Tobio’s hair, “and that includes you, Tobio. I’ll stay by your side through anything.”
“I know,” Tobio said, words muffled in Shoyo’s shoulder. “Me, too.”
All the giddy joy of last night’s reunion was drained away by the tumultuous ebb and flow of Oikawa’s rage and Iwaizumi’s reappearance, leaving an ache deep in Shoyo’s chest. Tobio was right back to making himself small under his fear and guilt, and Shoyo hated it. But what could he do? What could he say? It was his fault Tobio was in this situation.
“I love you,” Shoyo decided to say, mouthing the words into the soft hair at Tobio’s temple. He didn’t feel rejected by the way Tobio’s shoulders stiffened beneath his arms. He knew that was his way of pushing against the instinctive belief that he wasn’t worthy of that love. It just meant Shoyo would have to keep working to make him believe otherwise.
Tobio tightened his arms around his waist and pulled him into his lap, keeping his face buried in his shoulder the entire time. “I love you, too,” he eventually murmured, “I…Sho, I…”
“Yeah?”
“I’m…I’m glad you didn’t give up on me.”
“Never.” Shoyo held on even tighter, until he wasn’t sure if the heartbeat he felt was his own or Tobio’s. “You’re stuck with me, Tobi. Not even magical storms or shrouds could keep me away from you.”
“Yeah…stubborn dumbass.”
“Jerk,” Shoyo laughed, softening the taunt with another kiss to Tobio’s hair. He wanted to sink into the love settling over his nerves and easing the tremble of his fingers, but doubt pricked at him. “Tobio…you know I trust you, right?”
Silence met his question, broken by a soft sigh. “We’ll find out tomorrow, right?”
The lack of a firm answer stung, but it wasn’t unfair. Sure, the fact that Shoyo had come this far for him was a sign of his love and devotion. But no amount of insistence would change the fact that he’d broken Tobio’s trust the moment he lit the candle. It was a mistake that nearly ruined Tobio’s life twice over. Of course he would need something tangible to prove otherwise. “What about my love for you?”
This time, he earned a huff of laughter and the feeling of Tobio’s nose nuzzling into the curve of his neck. “Of course I know it,” he mumbled into Shoyo’s skin. “I love you, too, dumbass.”
“Good.” Shoyo’s arms tightened, only to immediately loosen at Tobio’s pained gasp. “What? What happened?!”
“The burns.” Tobio leaned away just enough to loosen his robes and frown at the three sunken burns on the strong swell of his chest. “They still hurt.”
“How?”
“I dunno. Aren’t you the healer’s son?”
“This isn’t normal,” Shoyo muttered, ignoring the taunt to peer at the burns. They were still perfect circles, still raw and red, still emitted a heat when Shoyo brushed his fingers around the flushed area. “This must be Oikawa’s magic. That’s why the wax burned you like this. Maybe it’s keeping you from healing, too.”
“Oikawa?!”
“Yeah.” Shoyo met Tobio’s eyes, and nearly shuddered at the stunned anger burning in their midnight depths. It was only the second time he’d seen him truly show anger at the sorcerer. “He gave the candle to my mom.”
“That…that bastard. He set us up.”
“Hey.” Shoyo caught Tobio’s face and forced him to hold their eye contact, waiting for his anger to ebb away before continuing, “Yes, the candle was unfair. But it’s still my fault that I lit it, and today we’re going to fix it, right?”
Tobio’s nod was slow. “…Right.”
Shoyo’s eyes wandered back to the burns, guilt crawling up his throat until he felt sick. “I’m sorry,” he whispered brokenly. “I’m so sorry I hurt you like that.”
“Hey. Don’t apologize.” Tobio gently pulled his hand away from the burns. “You’ve gotten hurt, too. We’ll fix it. All of it. But you have to listen to me, okay?”
Shoyo wasn’t familiar with the shifting emotions of Tobio’s human features, but he could still tell that the entreaty in his dark blue eyes didn’t quite belong there. What on earth would he ask him to do, if he was this nervous about Shoyo’s response? “...Okay.”
“Okay…good.”
With that, Tobio burrowed back into him, reminding Shoyo of the way Natsu would burrow into her plush rabbit. He fought valiantly against the laugh rising to his lips when he offered, “Hey…should we get the futon out? Do you want to sleep?”
“No. I wanna stay like this.”
“Then your legs will fall asleep.”
“Don’t care.”
“You will later!”
“Quit nagging and hold me back, dumbass!”
“Spirits…,” Shoyo huffed, as though he weren’t already holding him tight around his shoulders. “Yes, Your Grace.”
Tobio did eventually let Shoyo go, but only because Kindaichi arrived with food. After they finished eating, Shoyo mentioned needing to change the wrappings on his arms, and when Kindaichi returned to take away the dishes, Tobio was partway through wrapping clean bandages around Shoyo’s wrists. “Oh. I thought you didn’t need any healing.”
“This isn’t healing,” Shoyo answered Kindaichi, though his eyes stayed fixed on the adorable pout of concentration Tobio wore as he carefully secured the wrappings on his right wrist. “I just needed to clean these.”
“Ah. Well…I’ll just…take these, then.” “Thanks!” Shoyo kept watching Tobio, his own lips curving into a frown when he didn’t add anything. “...Tobio.”
“What?”
“Your idea.”
Tobio’s single-minded concentration shifted into realization, then urgency. “Oh! Right, we wanted to see Oikawa-san again.”
Kindaichi blinked, suspicion creasing his features. “Really? You already have an idea?”
“We do.”
“...Alright.”
The walk back to the great hall was terribly familiar now. With Tobio at his side, Shoyo felt a particular sense of deja vu, and he reached for Tobio’s hand without really thinking about it. He just…needed the reassuring pressure of their fingers woven together.
Kindaichi paused once they reached the throne room, hands hovering over the panels in an echo of that morning. “...Are you sure about this?” he asked, looking over his shoulder at the couple. Some anger still lingered in his eyes, but there was also genuine worry, especially when his eyes rested on Tobio.
That was right. He had mentioned feeling some sympathy for the cursed heir. But the worry Shoyo saw now went beyond simple sympathy. “Yes,” Tobio answered softly. “Could…could you get the candle, as well? If Oikawa-san has it?”
Kindaichi took a slow breath, and then, with a nod in return, he slid the doors open, slipping inside and leaving Shoyo and Tobio alone.
“Tobio,” Shoyo whispered, squeezing Tobio’s hand when he saw fear on his face, “it doesn’t matter if this doesn’t work. I’m not going anywhere unless it’s with you.”
“Dumbass, aren’t you supposed to be encouraging me?” Tobio huffed, a small smile cracking through his fear.
“I am encouraging!”
“Uh-huh.”
Tobio didn’t get a chance to tease Shoyo any more before the panels clacked open again. They both froze when, instead of Kindaichi, they found Iwaizumi standing in the entrance. “I hope you two have a good idea,” he said, his small smile gentling his words, “because Oikawa is not happy with being interrupted.”
“Iwa-chan, stop plotting with the enemy and get back here.”
Iwaizumi rolled his eyes but still obeyed, leading Shoyo and Tobio into the throne room and rejoining Oikawa at the dais. Hanamaki and Matsukawa flanked the kyosoku, a few steps in front of where silent guards usually stood. To Shoyo’s surprise, Oikawa sat at the edge of the dias instead of at his armrest. It wasn’t until he stood and grabbed at Iwaizumi’s hand that Shoyo realized: there wasn’t space for two people at the kyosoku, nor on the cushion next to it. Of course Oikawa would lower himself to be next to the late love of his life.
“Well, Tobio-chan,” the sorcerer sniffed, lip curling around the mocking nickname, “what grand idea couldn’t even wait a day? And what, precisely, do you need with my candle? Fancying another burn?”
“Oi, Shitty-kawa.”
“What?! You saw his burns!”
“Not…not really,” Tobio quietly interjected. He didn’t look at Shoyo, as though he could feel the weight of his confused gaze. “I do need to light it again.”
Oikawa frowned but he picked up the candle and its dish and tossed them to their feet, so that Tobio had to crouch to retrieve them. “I expect your little samurai has a striker of some sort.”
Shoyo’s shoulders shot up to his ears when the attention of everyone in the room turned on him. “Uh. Yes, yeah, I do.”
“Okay.” Tobio lowered himself to the tatami mats and fit the candle onto its holder. He waited quietly as Shoyo dug out his striker from his pack and only offered a nod when Shoyo looked at him for guidance.
It was easy enough to light the candle, despite his hands trembling—he couldn’t shake the memory of the first and last time he’d lit this candle. “Okay,” he said once a flame flickered on the candle. “Now what?”
“Let it melt a bit.”
“Must we be here for the full process?” Oikawa drawled. He flopped back onto the edge of the dias, his boredom breaking only to offer a sweet grin at Iwaizumi’s exasperation. “Aw, you missed this, Iwa-chan. Admit it.”
“Dunno why I did,” Iwaizumi sighed, words mismatched with the way he lowered himself to Oikawa’s side and let him loop their arms together. There was an undercurrent of melancholy in their bickering, as if they knew this chance at normalcy would be short-lived.
“Princeling, what is the point of all this?”
“You told us to prove our trust,” Tobio said shortly, “and we can’t do that if I explain too much.”
Melted wax slowly dripped down the candle, eventually pooling in the dish the way it had when Shoyo accidentally burned Tobio with it. “Is this enough?”
“I think so.” Tobio looked up from the candle, and a shudder ran up Shoyo’s spine when their eyes met and he saw stony determination in those dark depths. “You have to listen to me, Sho.”
“I know.”
“You won’t like this.”
“O…kay? What do I need to do?”
“You have to pour it on me.”
“What?!” Shoyo was distantly aware of a sucked-in breath and some shuffles from the others in the room, but all his attention was narrowed in on Tobio’s impassive features.
“You have to pour it over my burns.”
“No! Why?! It’ll hurt you, I can’t— not again—”
“Shoyo.” Steady hands held Shoyo’s shaking hands. “You said you trust me.”
“I do, but—!”
“So trust me. Listen to me.”
“What if I hurt you again?”
“This is my idea,” Tobio reassured him. “If I get hurt, then it’s my own fault. Do it, Sho. Please. And when you start, you can’t stop until I tell you to, alright?”
The trembling of Shoyo’s hands worsened as he reached for the dish and lifted it, slow with dread. Familiar fingers settled around his wrist, holding him steady as he positioned it to pour over the three burns. “Are…are you ready?” Shoyo asked, voice hoarse in his dry throat.
Tobio slowly let go, leaving Shoyo to pour the wax on his own. “Yes.”
He sucked in a deep breath and slowly, carefully tilted the dish. Watching the wax slip out of the dish and onto Tobio’s skin felt like being trapped in a terrible flashback, a haunting nightmare. Then, Tobio groaned, and the reality became worse than the memory. Shoyo’s hand jerked, instinct telling him to right the dish and stop the flow of wax, but he caught himself just in time. “Tobio—”
“Don’t stop,” he grunted, eyes screwed shut against the pain. The fingers around Shoyo’s wrist started shaking, a tiny, almost-unnoticeable tremor, but it was enough for guilt to weigh heavy in his gut. He was hurting him, he was hurting him, and he couldn’t do anything to stop it.
Tobio didn’t say anything, didn’t tell him to stop pouring, letting the burns be covered in a thick layer of wax that was already drying solid on his skin. Curiously, the wax didn’t burn him further. It just settled on him, pulling his skin tight as it dried. “Tell me to stop,” Shoyo whispered, “please, Tobio, end this.”
Tobio stayed silent, holding his breath until he finally gasped, “Stop.”
Shoyo jerked his hand back, blew out the flame, and abandoned the candle in favor of cupping Tobio’s face. “You idiot,” he hissed, brushing sweaty bangs out of Tobio’s unfocused eyes. “What was that supposed to prove? That I’ll hurt you on command?”
Uneasiness churned in his stomach when the only response he got were slow, dazed blinks. When Tobio eventually spoke, his words nearly slurred together. “Wipe it off.”
“What?”
“The wax. Wipe it away.”
Shoyo’s tongue burned with all of the questions he wanted to demand answers to, but Tobio looked like he could barely stay seated upright. He moved easily with Shoyo’s guiding hands to lay down on the mats, before Shoyo ripped a bit of fabric from the bottom of his torn-up kosode and dug out his waterskin. “Stay awake, you jerk,” he huffed under his breath, wetting the scrap and beginning to ever-so-carefully wipe away the wax. It was slow work, thanks to the wax needing to be soaked through before being wiped off. But bit by bit, the blue wax lifted from Tobio’s skin, and bit by bit, Shoyo’s eyes widened from what he saw.
At first he wasn’t sure if he was seeing correctly, but it quickly became unmistakable: the three burns were nowhere to be seen. It was as though those small, raw, perfectly-round circles had never been there, leaving smooth, pale skin beneath the wax. “How?” he gasped.
Tobio painstakingly raised himself to his elbows and stared down at his chest. “Oh…it worked.”
“‘Oh’? What do you mean, ‘oh’?!” Shoyo demanded. “What happened to the burns?!”
“The curse…” Shoyo and Tobio’s heads turned in unison to look at Oikawa, who stared at Tobio’s chest in disbelief. “Those burns were caused by your failure to break the curse. If they’re gone, then…”
“We broke it.” Tobio’s eyes were much more alert when they met Shoyo’s, and a smile—a beautiful, relieved, hesitant smile—began to inch across his face. “We did it, Sho. You trusted me.”
Shoyo’s stare swung from Tobio, to his chest, to a smiling Iwaizumi, and finally, Oikawa, who looked like he might make lightning strike the throne room itself. “Is it true?” Shoyo whispered. “Is the curse broken?”
There was a tense beat where Shoyo thought Oikawa would refuse outright. But instead, the sorcerer turned to Iwaizumi and grabbed his hands. The shifter’s surprise hardened into a frown. “Don’t you dare—”
“One night,” Oikawa pleaded, clinging to Iwaizumi’s hands. “If I let them go and do what you asked, then give me that. Give me one night with you, please.” When Iwaizumi didn’t answer immediately, Oikawa leant in to brush their noses together, still holding tight to his hands. “Please, Hajime. I won’t…I won’t ask you to stay forever. Just one more night, please.”
Iwaizumi’s jaw clenched almost as tight as his eyes were squeezed shut. “…Fine,” he breathed, “but only if you let them go.”
“Fine,” Oikawa echoed. He darted in for a quick kiss, a bittersweet smile curving his lips when Iwaizumi grunted, “Oi!” in protest. The smile was gone when he shoved himself to his feet, swept to Tobio’s side, and crouched down to hold the blue stone still hanging around his neck by a leather strap.
A dull glow began to emit from the stone, pulsing like a heartbeat, only to die back down to a still, blue darkness. Oikawa’s fingers tightened around the stone before he abruptly tugged at it, yanking it from Tobio’s neck and sending the heir sprawling backwards to the floor.
“It’s done,” Oikawa said, his voice dull. He coiled the leather strap over the stone in the palm of his hand, as though he were going to tuck it into the pouch hanging off his obi. Suddenly, the ends of the leather sparked, and bright orange embers burned through the strap like a dwindling incense stick. It even burned through the stone, leaving a small pile of ash in Oikawa’s hand. “Go.”
He ignored the pairs of wide eyes that followed him back to the dais, where Iwaizumi awaited him with a small, sad smile and an outstretched hand. “W…what?” Tobio finally said, voice hoarse with disbelief.
“Go!” Oikawa snapped. Even though he was facing his throne, the tension in his shoulders still radiated anger and grief. “Leave! And don’t ever show your faces on this island again. There are always new curses to be placed.”
Shoyo needed no further encouragement. He gathered up his things and urged Tobio to his feet, ready to dip into a final bow and dash out of the castle. But when he pulled Tobio off the floor, the heir slipped his hand away and reached for the talisman instead. “Can we give this back?” he murmured.
“Oh. Um…yeah, of course,” Shoyo stammered, “if…if Oikawa-san will take it.”
With that, Tobio reached into Shoyo’s robes and carefully untied the talisman from around him, letting it fall into his hand with a silken, whispering rustle. Shoyo watched with his heart in his throat as the love of his life slowly approached the man who hated him most in the world, the man who he’d robbed of a lover and who in turn had robbed him of six years. He lowered himself to his knees and bent forward until his forehead brushed the tatami floor. An hush fell over the room at the sight—heirs of daimyos weren’t meant to offer a dogeza to anyone but their own daimyo, and certainly not their enemy.
“Please accept this,” Tobio said, “and accept our gratitude for your mercy. I…I know you won’t forgive me, but—”
“There’s nothing to forgive.” Tobio’s head lifted at the interruption. Iwaizumi grinned down at him and crouched to take the talisman. “You made a mistake, a terrible mistake,” he told the younger man, “and you have paid more consequences than you should have. Go, live your life, and…and maybe one day, you might even begin to forget about all of this.” He looked up at Shoyo, his grin broadening into a smile that shook with gratitude. “Thank you, Hinata. Those words don’t feel like enough, but thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Shoyo murmured, bending into a deep bow, “and thank you for helping me.”
When he straightened, Iwaizumi still smiled, but as their eyes met, he lifted his chin in a gesture to the panels behind Shoyo. “Go.”
It was all so sudden, and somehow not fast enough. Shoyo’s lip trembled as he bowed to Matsukawa and Hanamaki, who responded with smiles of their own, and then to Kindaichi, who bowed back.
Through it all, Tobio kneeled, gazing up at Oikawa’s back. Shoyo shouldered their things and crouched at his side, rubbing a soothing hand between his shoulders. “Tobio…let’s go.”
With a deep, shaky breath, Tobio nodded and let Shoyo help him to his feet again. But before they turned away, Shoyo looked at Oikawa, at his stiff posture and pretty hair, and murmured, “Thank you. I…I think you have a good heart, and I know it will heal. I hope…you can find some happiness then.”
He didn’t get a response beyond a sucked-in breath, and he didn’t expect more. He just let Tobio weave their fingers together and lead the way out of the throne room. The weight of everyone’s eyes rested on his back as they walked, but as the wood panels closed behind them, Shoyo shuddered from a prickle down his neck and whirled back around.
There, through the closing gap between the dark wood, Oikawa watched them with shadowed eyes and thin lips. The clack of the panels finally closing underlined the shiver that slid up Shoyo’s spine.
“Shoyo?”
“Sorry!” he gasped, whirling back to Tobio. “Sorry, I just…I felt…” Concern glittered in those dark eyes, making guilt chase off the unsettling weight in Shoyo’s stomach. “Nothing,” he decided, tugging lightly at Tobio’s hand. “Let’s go, Tobio.”
Tobio gave a mute nod and let Shoyo lead the way through the halls. When Shoyo looked back at him, Tobio was taking in the castle surrounding them, brows furrowed with nerves and frustration. “Hey.” Dark blue eyes snapped to Shoyo. “What’s wrong?”
“Just…” Tobio stared down the stairs that awaited them. “I can’t believe it. I…I can’t believe it’s over. I can go home. It’s really over.”
“It’s really over,” Shoyo confirmed. He took Tobio’s hands in his, smiling when their eyes met again. “We did it, Tobio. The curse is broken. I came here to take you home, and now it’s happening. We can go home!”
Tobio’s breaths slowly steadied, and his hands stopped trembling in Shoyo’s. “Sho…”
“Yeah?”
Tobio’s hands slid out of his and cupped his cheeks to pull him into a kiss. It was chaste but slow, and when they parted, their lips clung like drawn syrup. His eyes fluttered open to find Tobio watching him with the softest, fondest smile on his lips and not a trace of uncertainty in his eyes. “I love you.”
“I love you, too,” Shoyo said, unashamed of the catch in his voice. “Let’s go home?”
“Yeah. Take me home.”

-Last Time-
“The inter-high qualifiers are coming up. But… it’s almost time for him to be coming back.” Daichi says with a knowing look on his face.
        “Him?” You ask confused.
        “Karasuno’s own… Guardian Deity.”
        “A Guardian Deity…?!” Hinata exclaims.
“Do we still have other team members?” Kageyama asked excitedly.
“Yeah. We do.” Suga says sadly. You look at him in concern while Kageyama looks at him in confusion. Takeda calls everyone to the bus to leave, so we make our way that way.
-Meanwhile in Aoba Johsai’s Gym-
“Y’know… Kageyama got pretty freaking good.” Iwaizumi says to Oikawa.
“Yep. All his pent-up genius has found an outlet. I doubt any normal player can keep up with him now.” He responds while tossing a volleyball up and down with one hand.
“Are you admitting that he’s better than you?”
“At setting, yes. I don’t think anyone in the prefecture can top him now. Buuuut… serving, spiking, blocking… those are a different story. He won’t beat me so easily.”
“Say he’s going to beat you as a setting too, you block-head!!” Iwaizumi yells as he throws a volleyball at Oikawa’s head. “You’re our starting setter!!”
“Ow! It’s true!” Oikawa whines. His mood suddenly turns serious. “That’s why we’ll destroy their receivers. Even if he’s a prodigy at setting, it’s meaningless if the ball doesn’t get to him. If we do go up against Karasuno in a tournament…” All of a sudden he turns giddy. “I can’t wait to screw up their entire receiving game! He won’t even get a chance to set! And then I’m going to say to him, ‘Even if you’re really good, you can’t win the game on your own!’ I soooo want to say that to him! It’ll feel sooo good!!”
Iwaizumi just stares at Oikawa in disgust. “...”
“What? Don’t naturals like him tick you off?”
“Smug pretty boys who get all the girls tick me off more!” Iwaizumi exclaims before throwing the ball at Oikawa’s head repeatedly.
“Ow! Jealousy is seriously uncool Iwa-chan!”
*Bap* “Ow!” *Bap* “Ow!” Iwaizumi stops when he hears Kindaichi and a first year with a tired expression talking.
“Karasuno’s manager is kinda scary,” Kindaichi says.
“Eh, I don’t think so…” The other boy says.
        “Really?!”
        “Yeah…”
“Well, you at least have to admit she’s cute…”
“...She is.” As the two are talking, Iwazumi is listening which makes Oikawa confused as to why he’s not being hit in the head anymore. Oikawa hears them too and starts listening as well.
“Did you see the way she yelled at Kageyama?” Kindaichi asks. The other boy nods in response. “I’ve never seen anyone do that, not even a coach. And the way Kageyama pulled her away from Oikawa.”
        “What about me?~”
The two first years jump slightly as they realize Oikawa is behind them.
“W-We were just talking about Karasuno’s first-year manager.” Kindaichi stutters.
“What about her?” Iwaizumi asks, acting clueless while walking up to them.
        “U-Uh…”
“How she and Kageyama interact.” The other boy says, covering for him and Kindaichi.
Knowing they aren’t telling him everything, Iwaizumi just looks at them.
“Oh, don’t worry Iwa-chan, I’m sure Kunimi and Kindaichi didn’t mean anything bad, right guys?” Oikawa asks.
        “Right!”
        “Yeah…”
Iwaizumi sighs before telling them to get back to cleaning the gym.
“I almost forgot…” Oikawa begins, catching Iwaizumi’s attention. “...if we go against Karasuno in a tournament… I’ll be able to see my little cutie again!~” An irk mark appears on Iwaizumi’s face.
“She isn’t yours!!” He yells before chucking a ball at the captain.
        “Ow!”
-Karasuno’s Gym 2-
“A little bit of cleanup and we’ll be done!” Takeda announces.
“Kaaay!” Everyone but Hinata and Kageyama say.
“Hey!” Kageyama whisper-yells at Hinata who is falling asleep standing up.
As everyone starts cleaning, including you, you notice Hinata holding a broom and sleeping standing up!
“Hinata, wake up. Give me the broom and go sit down so you don’t hurt yourself.” You try telling Hinata. After a bit, you get the broom from him and go put it away. You see Yamaguchi heading in that direction too so you catch up to him.
“Hey, Yams!” You say excitedly while smiling. Yamaguchi looks at you shocked before blushing and turning his head away from you. ‘Did I do something wrong?’ You wonder. “Hey…you okay?”
        “Y-Yeah…”
“Then why are you looking away from me?”
        “I-It's just…”
        “Just… what?”
“Y-You c-called me Y-Yams…” He says quietly. You’re confused before it finally hits you.
“!!! I-I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to offend you! I-It just slipped! I-I won’t call you that if you don’t like it!” You say frantically while blushing.
“I-It’s okay. I like it…” He confesses shyly.
        “R-Really?
        “Yeah.”
“Okay, Yams.” You guys arrive at the equipment storage room. Yamaguchi walks in first and puts his broom in its appropriate spot before turning around and offering to put yours in the same spot. You hand him the broom and thank him. As you’re leaving, you notice a broken broom.
“Hey, Yams.” You say getting his attention and grabbing the two pieces.
        “Yeah?”
“Look at this.” You say while holding up the broom.
“I wonder what happened to it.”
“I don’t know.” You shrug. “Should we throw it away?”
“I think we should ask first.”
“Good idea.” You say nodding your head. Yamaguchi goes to the door before shouting.
“Excuse me! (Y/N) and I found a broken broom and it looks dangerous! Can we throw it away?” You hear someone yell before Suga runs in and takes the broom from you. This shocks and confuses you.
“Just leave it.” Suga begins. “We just need…to fix it, someday.” He continues sadly. “Then we can use it again.” You and Yamaguchi look at each other before shrugging and walking away.
“Okay.” Yamaguchi says. You look at Daichi to see him looking at Suga.
        “Daichi?” You say approaching him.
“?” He turns to look at you. “What’s up (Y/N)?”
        “Um…Is Suga okay?”
        “He will be.”
“I know it isn’t my business, but did something happen? And if so, is there anything I can do to help?”
“It’s alright (Y/N), everything will work out.” He smiles before patting your head and walking away. You look at Suga, who is sadly looking down at the broom in his hands. ‘I hate seeing my friends like this…’ You think sadly with your head down.
-On your walk home-
“Hey, (Y/N)!” You turn to see Hinata, Kageyama, and Tanaka walking behind you.
“What’s up?” You ask, stopping to look at them.
“Want to go get meat buns with us?” Hinata asks as they approach you.
        “Sure.”
“Awesome! Let’s go!” You chuckle and start walking with them.

Haikyuu book
Okay so I did something and I don’t regret it
So it’s a royal au so like kings and princesses and princes and queens, and magic overall and the dynamics are going to be a lil different like here’s what I’m thinking just a little
Aoba Johsai
- Oikawa is obv a prince
- iwaizumi is the head knight
- matsukawa is the second in command (also a knight)
- hanamaki is the jester/mage and
- yahaba is probably also a knight
- watari is knight (I’m running out of ideas)
- kindaichi is a mage in training
- kumini is the healer
- kyotani is obv a knight like his fav iwa
Fukurodani
- washio is a knight
- Bokuto is the prince
- Akaashi is the healer mage
- kohona is the funny knight
Inarizaki
- Kita - a Duke obv
- omimi is a knight
- Miya twins - the princes in line for the throne
- Aran either a head knight or a mage
- gimjima is the knight
- suna is a powerful sorcerer probably dabbles in black/dark magic
- akagi is a knight idk I’m repeating things
Not gonna go into it with itchiyama but sakusa is the prince and Komori is a duke since they’re related
Karasuno
(Oh god HERE WE GO)
- Ukai is a popular merchant
- sr ukai helps teach the children
- takeda is the financial advisor
- kiyoko is a duchess
- yachi is kiyoko’s first hand servant
- daichi is a military chief advisor
- sugawara is a powerful sorcerer
- asahi is either a healer or the second in command knight to daichi
- nishinoya is happily a knight
- so is tanaka
- ennoshita, kinoshita, and narita are all servants of the castle
- kageyama is drum roll 🥁 the prince!
- hinata is kageyamas first servant (but they’re more friends than anything)
- tsukishima is a sorcerer
- Yamaguchi is a healer mage
Nekoma (heheheh)
- kuroo (military chief advisor)
- Kai - kuroo’s second in command
- Yaku is a powerful healer mage
- yamamoto is obv a knight
- Kenma is the prince
- Fukunage is a mage for the knights
- inuoka is a personal knight for kenma
- lev is same as inuoka
- shibayama is also a knight
Not gonna go into nohebi but daisho is a prince
Shiratorizawa (oh god)
- ushijima, literally the strongest knight ever (chief military advisor)
- tendou THE PRINCE AND I WILL SCREAM THIS
- semi is a mage and unfortunately (for him) tendou’s personal servant
- reon is a knight with ushijima
- goshiki looks up to ushijima way to much to not follow in his footsteps
- shirabu - a sorcerer
- kawanishi - a knight and shirabu’s bff
- Yamagata - one of tendou’s higher class servants
Okay got all that- onto the idea
So you are in line for the throne and once you get it you receive word of attack that is planned by a way more powerful nation than you- with a queen that literally just came into power- your empire is weak
So you look into the empires surrounding you and you summon all the princes/newfound kings to a dinner in your palace, cause the way bigger empire isn’t only going after you- it’s just starting with you
So you tell them all and show the evidence and you explain your want/need for an allowance because all alone- none of their empires stand a chance against this one
So they’re made to make a decision- make an Allience after the falling out over 300 years ago that split them empires apart and brought them to war against each other and work with people they don’t know/like for the safety of their kingdoms? , or suffer with no help from other empires when the stronger empire comes to take over so your like stay at my empire for a few days and we’ll give you anything you need and so all the princes and their first and second hand men are thinking it over and they’re actually communicating with each other and it’s epic
I would genuinely write this oh my god it’s amazing

7-kageyama turns into a kid!
Tobio was in room with Aoba Johsai, you probably how he got there in the first place well...
Here it all started where all teams are there and arguing over who will get Tobio to stay in their team rooms.
"No Kageyama want to be with Kenma, so he will be staying with Nekoma."
"Shut up ya rooster! Tobio-kun will be staying with Inarizaki room."
"In your dreams, piss hair he be staying with Date tech."
"Hah we are his teammates so we have the privileges for Kageyama to stay with Karasuno."
"No way you crow Semi find him first in that state so Shiratorizawa will look after him."
"No, it's us Kageyama likes Aggashi and respect him more!"
"No, you lot are filthy germs so he be staying with Itachiyama."
"Hell no!"
Tobio look at everyone with confuse face as they are arguing not until he got carried by Akira Kunimi as Akira look down at Tobio as Akira put his finger on his lips as Tobio nod his head as Akira takes him in the room, he be staying in.
"Did you get Tobio-chan, Kunimi-chan?"
Akira stills hold as he nods at Oikawa as he has a grin as Tobio then blurts out "You look weird with that face."
Oikawa drops his grins as he looks at Tobio that said that as he has tears coming down as Hajime and the rest snickers as Hajime then goes to Akira and takes Tobio from his arms as Akira pouts a bit wanting to hold Tobio longer. But didn't want Oikawa to hold Tobio but rather have Hajime instead.
"Do you think they still arguing?"
"Probably."
Everyone in the Aoba Johsai got themselves ready even Tobio as he was taking by onion head, I mean Yūtarō Kindaichi to help him brush his teeth, when they finish, they head back without getting caught by the other teams and Karasuno who want to take Tobio in their rooms.
They both came back they both see everyone in a circle and a bottle and the idea well you guess it, its Tooru himself.
 And the bottle lands on...
Hajime Iwazumi!
Tooru whines at Iwa-chan saying "I want to cuddle with Tobio-chan."
"You sound like a perv." Tobio blurt out, Tooru couldn't help to choke his saliva. While the other laugh at Tooru face as Hajime said "Kageyama come on its time for bed."
"Hai" Tobio walks to Hajime as they all get inside futon as Tooru turns off the lights as Tobio close his eyes to sleep.
Tobio couldn't sleep as he open his eyes as he sits up as he gets up slowly without waking everyone as he goes to the door and opens it slowly as he gets out the room as he walks and goes through the hall as he saw the door and opens it and saw the Date tech as he saw their positions as he shakes his head as he gently close the door and goes to the next one as he saw other team Itachiyama he saw it be perfect but then want to explore others as he saw other teams but the last one which happens to be Inarizaki. He opens the door and goes inside as he goes inside the futon who happens to be Kita.
Tobio snuggles against Kita as Kita felt another presence beside him as he opens his eyes and looks down and saw Tobio as he smiles at the sight as he wraps his arms around Tobio and rubs his head gently as himself was falling asleep himself.

Ahhh! Welcome back! I’ve been looking through you page and your content is so wholesome! Also can you do Oikawa and Iwa taking care of Little Kindaichi, Little Kunimi and Little Kageyama? (No rush ofc!) this is only for if you are still doing these!💕
hi! i am definitely still doing these (when i can hehe) so thank you for your patience! and thank you so much for enjoying my writing 💕💕
*
iwa (daddy/dada) and oikawa (papa) - caregivers
tobio (1-2), kunimi (5-6), and kindaichi (5-6) - littles
*
It’s hot. Much too hot to be outside, not that the littles care.
Oikawa shudders as a droplet of sweat trickles down his back. His eyes drift enviously over to Iwaizumi, sitting over in the shade on their picnic basket and nursing an ice cold water. Tobio is sat on his lap, sipping on his own bottle of ice water.
“Papa, pay ‘tention!” Kindaichi shouts from across the net, stomping his feet in frustration.
“Yeah, ‘s your serve,” Kunimi chimes in from where he sits at the side of the court, keeping score in their makeshift volleyball game.
Oikawa wipes his hand across his forehead. “Kunimi, baby, are you absolutely positively sure you don’t want to play?” The boy was shaking his head before Oikawa even finished his question. “Maybe we should take a break. Aren’t you hungry? Tired? I am!”
“Don’t complain, Lazykawa,” Iwaizumi shouted over from the blanket, startling Tobio a bit from where he started to doze off on the man’s shoulder. “I bet you’re scared you’re gonna lose, huh?”
Kindaichi and Kunimi broke out into a fit of giggles as Oikawa gasped dramatically. “What? Oh my gods, boys, do you hear how your Daddy talks to me? He’s so rude sometimes. I’m absolutely going to win.”
“Nuh uh!” Kindaichi stuck out his tongue at his caregiver. “I gonna win!”
Oikawa huffed and picked up the ball from the sand. “We’ll see!”
-
Oikawa collapsed in a sweaty, sandy heap next to Iwaizumi a half hour later.
“I won!” Kindaichi cheered as he ran up behind him, holding a bouquet of “flowers” (a bundle of sticks and dandelions that Kunimi had gathered) he had received for his victory. “Daddy, did you see me? I won! Tobi, did you see?”
Tobio grinned up at his brothers, clapping in excitement. He hadn’t been watching, not really, and probably wouldn’t have been able to follow along well, but his brothers were happy so he was happy.
“We both saw,” Iwaizumi beamed, reaching into the cooler and grabbing two sippy cups. “Here. Victory drinks for the winner and the scorekeeper. You both worked hard.”
“Did I work hard, Iwa-chan?” Oikawa asked, voice muffled by the picnic blanket.
“Mm,” Iwaizumi stifled a laugh and grabbed one last drink from the cooler. “A drink for Papa, even if he lost super, super badly.” Oikawa sat up with a pout, taking his drink dejectedly.
The five of them rested for a while on the blanket, letting the shade and drinks cool them down from the sweltering August heat.
Eventually, though, Kindaichi jumped up once again, grabbing Oikawa’s hand. “Come on! Round two!”

𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐲𝐮𝐮 - 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
-> haikyuu teams teaching (gn) manager reader how to serve
warnings: none
teams: inarizaki, aoba johsai, karasuno, nekoma, fukurodani, shiratorizawa
a/n: i was thinking of saeko and yachi interval thingy in season.. 3??? i don’t remember when it was but it was cute lol
inarizaki
i imagine you were dragged into being manager
youre probably in someones class and they were like
yo be our manager?
n e ways
kita and aran would be be so sweet
like would not care if you just fucked up the last 5 serves
proud of you for trying
sorry to the atsumu stans but hes probably a dick
like will not let you live
laughing in the background grr
suna wants this on video lol
i feel like atsumu and osamu would try and help
but then argue and get frustrated too easily
ginjima would be a good teacher
i see this man being like really helpful
probably the one you learn the most from
he’s just good at explaining
the first years are still improving their own serves so theyll most likely leave it to their upperclassmen
lowkey highkey all of them are proud when you finally nail one
how can they not be
like look at your cute little smile
you look so happy and they are simping
aoba johsai
lets be real they wouldn’t let oikawa near you at first
iwaizumi is scared for your life the minute he comes anywhere within 20 feet of you
its mostly a joke tho
its not
theyre just teasing theyre not that worried about it
they are
yahaba would want to teach you
like really badly
but he wouldn’t be great
like he cannot explain shit
sorry :/
iwa would be great
we all know it hes just
amazing 🤧🤧
makki and mattsun are probably teasing you
shut up man you practice this shit almost everyday >:(
kunimi is not that involved but kindaichi tries to help while his upperclassmen fight in the background
poor baby is flustered but hes trying his best i promise
hes not too bad
like youll eventually understand what he means
if kyoutani is even present hes not gonna be that involved
he might watch and be a bit surprised when you do well
but hes not going to actively participate
when oikawa finally gets the chance to teach you lol he does great
the others are like chewing fingernails in the background but hes really good
he explains so well and hes actually pretty patient
give him some credit pls like hes a great teacher
just cus hes hard on himself smh
anyways
theyd be so proud when you get it over
all of them try to take credit for the best teaching
you tell them they all helped
some were definitely more helpful than others but they dont need to know that 😙
karasuno
daichi and suga would be the most tame
suga brings the same energy as when he was teaching hinata hell yes
asahi is nervous
like would try to teach you but is scared hes doing it wrong
more reassurance than teaching
hinata and kageyama cant explain
their sound effects lmao
tsukishima wouldnt want to get involved but he is amused by the teams attempts
tanaka would actually be a pretty good teacher
if he can get over the fact that he needs to adjust your arm
yamaguchi would be amazing
like 10/10 teaching
my baby
knows how hard it is
but you’d be getting that shit over in minutes
he’s just so good at explaining how
embarrassed when you start praising him tho
daichi and suga are very really good too mhm mhm
like they know what theyre doing
especially dadchi mans cant catch a break so teaching you is easy peasy
of course we also all know ennoshita is super good
best boy
as expected from our future captain 😚
noya doesnt serve but man he is your number one cheerleader
boy is going crazy even though you completely missed
let me tell you
hinata and yams are the most expressive when you finally manage a good serve
like these two are so hyped
literally best boys
the rest of the team feels that way too but these two are just so dARN CUTE 🥰🥰
oh and kiyoko
my sweet beautiful girl
she is
mWAH 😳 10/10
we've seen her serve i know we have i cant remember when or where but we have
and my bby is like just so good at explaining
its like with yamaguchi
you be getting that water bottle
serving better than hinata
my poor baby its okay
anyways yall have lots of fun
nekoma
i have a strong feeling kuroo and fukunaga would be good at teaching you
idk why
maybe im biased lol
lev would be the first to volunteer
yaku would totally kick him tho
like mans cant even serve or receive properly himself
whats he gonna teach you
sweet tall bean just wanted to help
inuoka might be pretty good too
but is probably too energetic
disappointed when you dont get it over
kuroo to the rescue
mans is just good at explaining
like hes used to teaching lev so?
demonstrations!!
fukunaga idk how he does it
probably just shows you the movements and bam youre good???
like he made it so simple for you
hes amazing
he cracks jokes too and damn hes so fun
but back to kuroo
gosh he is such captain material
like
boy be one of the FINEST teachers youve ever learnt from
both in teaching and looks ahaha
hes so patient and may playfully tease you a bit
if you dont like teasing hes definitely reassuring tho like
he knows when not to step on your toes
yaku and shibayama are just like noya
number 1 hype men
though not as crazy
yaku is gonna be doting on you when you get a good serve in
now kenma and tora
um
im gonna be honest
kenma doesnt want to participate
but this depends
if its instead of their usual practice he may join for a bit and then sit out but if its extra??? nuh uh
like sure hes happy youre happy
but more serves?? no thank you
tora on the other hand
hands down most excited
would love to teach you
but hes shy
like red faced blushing turning away from you shy
hes just nervous
reassure him and he'll try to help and once he starts he'll most likely be okay
and then you get the team smothering
team hugs?? yes
fukurodani
istg bokuto is too excited you wanna learn
mans frickin goes too far
probably goes into emo mode when you can’t get it over
but in your defence he’s not great at explaining
akaashi to the rescue
we all know akaashi is great
hes good at explaining and demonstrations 10/10
i also think konoha would be a great teacher too
but hed definitely tease you
sarukui and washio would be watching with proud smiles when you get it over
yukie and kaori 100% snapping photos on the sidelines
keep calling you to distract you
"y/n! look over here"
"you're doing great sweety!"
theyre just having fun
komi is probably standing with sarukui and washio
they'll be cheering you up when you miss
youre not bokuto but thanks guys
anahori and onaga arent gonna be too involved
its mainly gonna be the upperclassmen
bokuto will whine
he just wants to help
poor emo bby just wants to show off and be a good teacher
akaashi will let him help again near the end
just when you've learnt enough to get it over
it satisfies both ppl
man hes good
anyways
these boys are chaotic
but they really have fun and hopefully so do you
shiratorizawa
they go through hell
like literally you do not want that to be you
moving on tho
this is definitely in their extra practice time
tendou my boy
our miracle bby
is so hyped like straight up ready to go its like he knew you were going to ask before u asked
he is p r e p a r e d
and i know hes good at explaining
cus hes so expressive
he just makes everything easy
so supportive to
! ! satori best teacher ! !
the others?? not so much 👀
shirabu doesnt want to help
same with kawanishi
like theyre just happy watching the others fail
both just tired and want to go to sleep
shirabu will step in when goshiki mucks up though
not out of spite no not at all
and yes i said when
goshiki i love u but he will mess up
hes trying to one up ushi
but toshi cant even help u so like
definitely a mess
speaking of toshi
hes so precious ah
doesnt want to dishearten (is that a word???) u he wants you to not give up
but hes just so blunt and confused that hes not much help
we appreciate the effort tho issokay
semisemi omg
i love him so much but idk if hed be that good :/
i dont know if i see him like stepping in like a hero and completely flooring the others
especially shirabu and goshiki
or trying and miserably failing
but reon on the other hand
he is second only to satori
like
he is that hero
saving ushi when he falters
stepping in with a smile and helping tsutomu whos totally not stuttering and standing stiff
getting it over is not that hard with them tho
and i 100% guarantee u had a good time
these boys would be so much fun

Haikyu Characters Reacting To Their S/O Screaming Back At Them
Aoba Johsai
Read Part Two Here
kyotani Kentaro
-everyone knows kyotani for his anger and how he doesn’t suck up to people so when they found out he was dating someone they had to assume this someone had the ability to put him in his place and right now that’s just what they needed
“ mad dog-chan you can’t do this not right now“ oikawas voice rang through in annoyance
“ yeah we need you to go in “ iwazumis voice sounded tired as if he was exhausted by trying to convince the boy for the past 5 minutes during their halftime (long timeout)
kyotani grunted as he turned from both of his teammates looking to the wall as he sat on the bench
“ coach seriously — we need him and he’s just on the bench doing nothing “
“ he said he’s tired of you guys only calling him in for 5 minutes and then sitting him back out like an animal— that you use to show off and then send outside when company’s gone “
“ well he’s our secret weapon “ oikawa screamed “ that’s literally what you do “
kyotani grumbled as he rolled his eyes at oikawa who huffed as he moved to turn to the bleachers “ oh forget this he’s not even listening to iwa-chan “
“ well you know what to do flatty-kawa “
“ duh you see i’m doing it iwa-chan”
oikawas hand came up in a wave as he moved to the referee whispering to them as they spoke on the speaker their voices crisp sending a chill through kyotani’s spine
“ we need a y/n l/n to come down to Aoba Johsais Bench — A y/n L/n to come down to Aoba Johsais bench “
you stood up smiling widely as you jumped your way through the crowd voice heaven sent as you screamed “ that’s me “
moving through people talking sweetly “ oops — sorry — sorry have to go take care of a loose hothead—whoops—you should really watch where you place that drink “
you hopped down the stairs waving at the team and the referee as you came to a stop in front of kyotani who was even more mad than he was initially
“ babe whats up why are they calling me down here again “ you sighed “ it’s only happened five other times and I thought we got past it “
“ they say that like it’s nothing “ kindaichis voice came out small as he rubbed the back of his head
“ kyotani “ you called confused usually he would answer you by now and comply and go play for a little while just to make you happy so you could go sit down on the bench to watch his game closely
“ uh somethings wrong iwa-chan “
“ yeah somethings off he’s not responding to her this time “
“ kyo what— “
“ if anything he looks like he’s gonna snap “
oikawa laughed at his comment “ yeah right y/n ‘ s too nice he’d feel horrible if he snapped at ‘em —they’d probably cry he wouldn’t do it “
oikawas face dropped as he heard the loud voice ring out inside the gym “ GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME“
you shuddered at his voice “ your even more fucking annoying than that dumbass over there “
your mouth dropped “ all you do is come down here and bother me everytime and I only go in for you — i’m not doing it this time i’m gonna stand my ground”
he screamed “ they use me for those 5 minutes and then toss me out i’m not doing it — like I said i’m sitting right here on this bench and standing my fucking ground “
your face went up in shock as you felt your body flinch at his voice kyotani and the rest of his team immediately feeling bad at what the whole gym just witnessed everyone listening closely feeling sorry for you
Oikawa moved to glare at kyotani as he walked over to wrap his arms around you “ aw y/n-chan it’s ok to cr— “
“ YOU SCREAM AT ME ONE MORE TIME LIKE THAT AND IM GONNA KNOCK YOUR FUCKING HEAD OFF WITH THE BAT MY DAD WACKS INTRUDERS AT HIS STORE WITH “ your screams came out louder than his as you stared down at the boy in front of you
“ I don’t care if you go out there and wipe the floor down with fucking towels or scrape it clean with a toothbrush but your going out on that court kentaro“
your voice was stern “ you better be glad they even give you 2 seconds on that court you love so much with your shitty attitude —if it was me i’d make you a bench rider the whole season while you watch shittykawa smirk at you everytime he goes up for a set that you won’t get “ your screams catching the whole gym off gaurd
“ so your gonna go out there and stand your fucking ground on that court “ you mocked him hand pointing from him to the court
Kyotani’s body shaking at your tone “ kentaro “ you spoke his name like a curse as he jolted and race to stand in his position on the court head never turning back to look at you again as you continued
“ You will score everytime you go up for that ball — everytime you hit something or come in contact with it— I want a point on that board do you hear me“
“ yes “
“ kentaro “
“ yes ma’am “
you moved to fix your clothes as you stared at everyone in the crowd “ everytime my boyfriends feet leave that ground you better clap your asses off do you hear me “
everyone shook their heads in a yes motion afraid of you and how such a big yell could come from such a small person
You smiled at the team before you took your seat on the bench near the coach who read off all his plans for kyotani that hed never listened to
“ oh trust me we’ll do that plan “ you said as you shook your head ignoring all the whispers from the males around you
“ do they know the game doesn’t start back up again until 5 minutes from now “ mattsukawas voice came out in concern
“ I —uh I don’t think they care “
“ oikawa what’s wrong with you “ iwazumi turned to see oikawas face made up in a frown as he sulked
“ pretty y/n-chan called me your stupid nickname “
oikawa
-oikawa never liked losing especially when it was to someone younger than him someone he didn’t like so you can imagine his anger when he lost to Karasuno
-no one expected the hallway to erupt in his screams so soon
“ tooru what’s wrong “
“ i’m just a little tired y/n i’m ok “
“ no but you — you look angry “
he took a deep breath as he shook his head in annoyance moving to walk off you standing in front of him stopping his exit
“ ok then if I look angry why the fuck would you stand in front of me “
“ because I “
“ because your fucking annoying that’s what it is “
“ tooru”
“ no don’t baby me y/n I don’t need you or anyone else to tell me I played good and I was amazing obviously I wasn’t if your standing here talking to me in a hallway and not in front of me while I celebrate on the court “
“ it’s ok baby — you can still win a volleyball nat— “
he lost his cool as he screamed looking down on you “ WHEN Y/N WHEN HUH “
he screamed harshly “ it’s over — are you fucking stupid there is no next time shitty kageyama took it there’s no next time for me — fuck we’re— we’re third years “
his voice sounded bloody by his screams that sounded throughout the hallway his team coming in to check and see if everything was ok receiving their answer when they turned the corner to you taking over
“ if I knew you were so fucking stupid I wouldn’t have dated you you were probably the bad luck charm that made me lose my shitty gam—“
“ the only thing that made you lose this game was you asshole “
your voice was laced with venom as you shot at him screaming constantly “ you and your shitty need to keep working endlessly maybe if you didn’t have a hurt knee — oh wait howd you get that “
you pretended to think “ oh I know FROM OVERWORKING YOURSELF “
you pushed a finger to his chest “ when I say your gonna make it to a nationals someday your gonna make it to a nationals someday you don’t doubt me is that clear “
his face was in fear as his mouth opened wide in a o form unable to process an answer
“ is that clear tooru oikawa “ you screamed
the team letting out yes’s for him as he moved to look back at them before he turned to you shaking his head like a puppy whod accidentally peed in the house
“ I need words “
“ y-fuck y—yes y/n — baby I mean ma’am — shit I mean yes baby “
you moved to stand straight as you cracked your neck and let a smile play on your face as you turned away from him walking to the entrance of the gym “ ok — babe I meant to tell you i’m gonna go say good game to kageyama- kun you go to the busses and make them wait for me ok “ you waved at him as you opened the door “ love you “
“ they wouldn’t dare leave ‘em “ kyotani’s voice came out in a laugh
“ fuck leaving them — theyd let ‘em drive“ hanamaki joked with mattsukawa who was screaming in laughter
your body entering the gym and walking over to kageyama who straightened up turning to speak to hinata who stood in fear
“ you speak nothing of what we heard to y/n-senpai“
“ y-yes ka-kageyama “
“ kageyama-kun youve grown up so much I love it“ you said holding your arms out to him speaking like he was a baby
“ h-hi y/n-senpai “
“ DID YOU KILL THE GREAT KING “

Also to add to y/n oikawa (or now iwaizumi) wedding.
Oikawa would get hammerd and probably twerk on top of a table with on of the other old members
Then mad dog would punch him in the stomach for him to stop
🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh my god ok first off, love drunk Oikawa ✋🏻 second off, Oikawa is totally stealing YN and Iwaizumi's thunder at the reception, starting off with the speeches 😀
Toru asked to give a speech to which you have alotted exactly 5 minutes for. You told him this and told him if he does not listen, there will be consequences.
So in true Oikawa fashion, he absolutely does not listen 🙃
"Hello everyone! My name is Toru Oikawa, aka to best man AND brother to the bride/brother in law to my former winged spiker Iwa-chan 😉"
Please YN, your husband is already done 😅
"Let me just say that without me, today would not be possible..."
"YN..."- Iwaizumi 😠
"Haji I gave him 5 minutes..." you
"And if he goes over 5 minutes?"- Hajime
"Look under the table"- you say
Under the table is a volleyball
Iwaizumi 👉🏻😈 I love you so much
"Kyotani, Mattsun, Makki, Kindaichi, Yahaba, Watari, Ushijima and Kageyama have one also"- you 🥰
"Why Kageyama and Ushijima?"- Iwaizumi
"Because it will piss Toru off"- you 🙃
"Marry me"- Iwaizumi
You out you hand up, "already did babe". Iwaizumi kisses you before you hear Toru clear his throat
"Excuse me? Could you two please keep it in your pants, I'm talking"- Oikawa
Iwaizumi 👉🏻😐 YN...
"Go ahead" you 😐
Oikawa 👉🏻🧍‍♂️ 🏐 💨💥😭

Fated Meeting
•·················✮·················•
Tumblr media
Hinata Shoyo x (Male) Reader
•·················✮·················•
Summary: The bathroom is a place where Hinata is destined to meet some enemy. Wether it was the cold and mean Kageyama or the unfairly tall Lev, Hinata was fated to meet someone in a bathroom. This time it just happened to be you. Someone who Hinata did not consider an enemy.
WARNINGS: 2nd hand embarrassment, swearing, and a horribly rushed fanfic
Based off me literally running into someone who didn't lock the door. Very upsetting. No there was no blossoming romance. Just trauma.
Please DON’T read/interact if you do not identify with male/masculine terms in any way (genderfluid people are welcome ofc <3)
•·················✮·················•
This was not how you expected your first game of the season to go. The ride there was obviously noisy and crowded. Oikawa-kun started the ride there great with his typical whining about how uncomfortable the seats were and Iwa-kun threatened to throw him out the window multiple times which only led to Oikawa-kun’s typical shrill “Iwa-chan!” as a retort. You couldn’t help but wonder what your captain's fangirls even saw in him.
You had hoped you’d be able to take a nap on the way there but you were rudely awakened by milk drenching your jacket and clothes. Apparently the bus had hit a particularly bad pothole while Kindaichi, who you were sitting beside, was slurping on a milk carton and spit it all out on you.
You scrunched your nose in disgust and faced your teammate with a deadpan expression. The turnip-haired boy panicked and quickly bursted out with apologies that were so rushed you couldn’t even comprehend the words. You waved him off and peeled off your soaked and sticky jacket. You made some excuse that you would clean it off when you arrived at your destination. Sadly you hadn’t brought any extra clothes. You hoped some wet toilet paper would at least get rid of the stickiness of it.
You were walking down the hall with a grumpy expression. You knew you couldn’t use the mens bathroom for the task of cleaning your uniform with nothing but toilet paper. The mens bathroom never had toilet paper, the dispenser was either full on stolen or the entire roll of TP was shoved down the toilet. It was just a fact you had to accept. Sadly this meant you had to walk extra far just to find a family bathroom you could use instead.
Luckily enough you did find one. You placed your hand on the door handle and turned it. It was unlocked! You didn’t have to awkwardly stand outside until whoever was using it was finished. You opened the door only to be met by a short boy, perhaps a middle schooler, with bright orange hair and wide eyes standing right there.
Your face burned up in record speed and you backed away quickly. Waving your hands wildly. “I am so sorry I thought it was empty and it wasn’t locked--” you stammered out an apology. The boy seemed to be just as embarrassed as you with his freckled face colored with a red hue.
“No no, I didn’t lock it!” The boy insisted and bowed down in apology “It’s my fault! I’m sorry!”
It was at this moment you noticed what the boy was wearing. A volleyball jersey colored a blackish-blue with orange accents. The white number 10 was printed on the back. Was this kid actually in highschool?
“What team are you on?” You asked before you could even stop yourself. The question seemed to make him perk up in sudden interest. You could recognize that fire in your eyes, the same kind Oikawa-kun would have when he talked about demolishing “Tobio-chan”, whoever that was. You could tell this boy was passionate about the game.
“I’m Hinata Shoyo, middle blocker for Karasuno High!” The ginger announced rather proudly. You hadn’t asked for the extra details but you appreciated it. It narrowed down your options on who this boy actually was. You looked closer to his face with narrowed eyes.
“You seem rather familiar.” You replied, “I’m L/N Y/N, also a middle blocker for Aoba Johsai.”
Hinata-kun seemed to get excited at that reveal, “That’s the Great Kings team!” He gushed. The Great King? Did he mean Oikawa-kun? You snorted, what a nickname.
“Sure, I haven’t seen you around before though. Should I know you?” You stuffed your hands in your pockets and rocked on your feet. Racking your brain to find any memory of this puppy-like shrimp.
“I played in a practice game against your team...I don’t think you were there though.” Hinata thought for a moment, he would have for sure recognized you if you were in that practice game. He thought you were like the male equivalent of Kiyoko. Someone who so graciously graced him with your presence.
“Ah. I wasn’t there  for that one.” You shrugged, recalling the next meeting where the practice game was talked about. You remember your teammates who were there to witness it were rather shaken up.
“You were the dude who jumped all over the place like a monkey, right?”
Hinata flushed, seemingly embarrassed you knew of him without properly playing against him. He nodded eagerly and you smiled at him. Reaching a hand out and ruffling his orange hair.
“From what I’ve heard,  you were rather impressive. I look forward to playing against you.” You dipped your head and nudged past him so you could get into the bathroom to fix up your clothes, which probably smelt like milk at this point.
Hinata Shoyo stood there, not knowing what to do. For once his usually meetings at bathrooms weren’t so scary. Maybe a bit embarrassing at most, but he felt more excited rather than “I’m about to throw up” terrified.
He lifted his chin confidently and dashed back to his team. Hoping to get the chance to play against you soon. He had to win just so he could. He had to at least get your email or he would be mopey for the rest of the day.
“Hey, Dumbass. What made you all happy?” Kageyama scowled at Hinata when he finally returned from his bathroom break that took a bit too long than usual. What was even odder was that he looked more like a walking ball of sunshine rather than someone who nearly got demolished by someone twice his size.
Hinata just gave him a wide grin, not even bothering to answer his question with words. Kageyama irked and bit his tongue to prevent a wave of insults hurling at his teammate. It would be best to at least attempt to avoid a fight with Daichi just a few feet away.

“L/N-kun, were you able to clean your clothes? If not you can bother some of mine-”
“Can it, onion head. It’s fine.” You grinned “They are fine, just a bit funky smelling.”
Kindaichi smiled back at you, happy he didn’t mess up too badly. Oikawa, who was watching the interaction from a few steps away, leaned down to Iwaizumis ear.
“Is it just me, or is Y/N-chan brighter than usual.” Oikawa whispered, which caused Iwa to shove his face away brutally.
“Whatever, shittykawa. It shouldn’t matter.” He grumbled, “Plus it’s weird to analyze your teammate like that.” Oikawa pouted at Iwaizumis response and crossed his arms.
“It's not my fault I can tell these things.”
“Shut it, flattykawa.”

Getting Stuck in the Locker Room w/ Iwaizumi, Tsukishima, Kuroo, and Akaashi (slight tsundere! reader)
ahah for the sake of it let’s make them enemies who come out as friends (maybe more?)
---------------------------------
Iwaizumi
“Oi. Lemme have a go at it.”
“Oh, my apologies! Allow me to make way for the manly man to come and magically unlock the door with his brute strength.” You quip sarcastically, Iwaizumi rolling his eyes as he takes your place in front of the door to tug at the handle, frowning when it doesn’t budge. He tilts his head, towel around his neck tilting with it.
“It won’t open.”
“Thank you, no really- you’re too helpful.”
You sigh, doing what you originally came here for as you slip Kindaichi’s knee pads into his locker, your cousin accidentally leaving them in his classroom before pleading with you to bring them. Your original plan of getting in and out had obviously been severely tarnished, leaving you with the one guy you-
“Ah. So that’s why you’re in here.”
You flinch at the sound of Iwaizumi’s deep voice sounding behind you, much closer than you expected before you turn, not being able to mask the scarlet that tinges your cheeks at Iwa’s exposed broad chest.
“Would it kill you to wear a shirt, perv?”
“Says the girl in the boy’s locker room.” Iwa takes another step towards you casually, a hand slipping into the sweats he had just changed to as you swallow tightly, looking away as your back touches the lockers. Iwaizumi’s face remains stoic, save for the slight arch of his eyebrow that signals his amusement.
“Who’s the real perv here?”
“Just put on a shirt and stop teasing me...please.” You mumble, embarassed as a small smirk overtakes Iwa’s lips as he opens up the door two lockers down from Kindaichi’s, pulling a white short-sleeve over his head that highlighted his arms quite nicely-
You shake your head of such thoughts before running a hand through your hair, sitting down on one of the nearby benches as an awkward silence fills the room.
“Can’t you call Oikawa or someone to come un-jam the door?”
“Nope. That shithead’s in practice with the rest of ‘em, and I left my bag in the gym.” Iwa replies shortly, taking a seat on the opposite end of the bench before opening his water bottle. “I was supposed to be excused today, but I ended up stuck here with my favorite person.”
“My luck is immense right now.” You retort with a sarcastic chuckle, eyes widening when Iwa scoots down the bench so his muscular thigh is just touching yours.
“Well, on the bright side: I have you cornered to ask why you don’t like me and avoid me like I’m some kind of sickness.” Iwa shrugs, offering you his water bottle before lowering it at your deadpan stare. You hesitate before sighing, allowing him an inch of the truth.
“I don’t not like you. You’re just mean- do you know how many times Kindaichi comes to me with tears in his eyes?”
“Hm.”
You huff, wanting to go hit on the door to catch someone’s attention before Iwa moves to crouch in front of you, causing your breath to hitch at the proximity and a involuntary heart beat to sound in your ears.
“I can be a lot meaner.”
“Stop joking around.”
“Am I joking?” You bite your lip when Iwa’s face nears even closer, his head tilting as you panic, grabbing the towel he had been drying his hair with and throwing it over his head. He frowns, wondering if he had actually made you uncomfortable with his little prank, before deciding to back off-
Iwaizumi scoffs, lifting the white material only for onyx eyes to widen at the sight of your flushed cheeks and furrowed brows, expression one of-
“Y/N-! oh. Oh crap-am I interrupting?”
The sound of Kindaichi’s voice had you pushing off the bench to race past your cousin and out the door, Iwaizumi still blinking at the spot where you had sat before he rises to his feet, lips twitching into a hint of an amused half-grin.
He ignores Kindaichi’s inquiries of what happened as he throws the towel over his shoulder, the sight of your flushed cheeks filling his mind as he huffs through his nose in disbelief at what he had discovered.
“Oi Kindaichi.”
“Y-Yes, senpai?”
“Give me your cousin’s number, will ya?”
Kuroo
“This is not happening-”
“Y/N-”
“Out of all people! It had to be you-”
“First of all, rude-”
“God, why couldn’t it have been Kenma? I’m going to kill Lev for making me come in here to get his shitty shoes-”
“Kitten-”
“Don’t kitten me!” You stop pulling on the door to turn on an amused Kuroo, who whistles lowly as he adjusts the towel around his waist. He runs a hand through his slightly damp hair as he opens one of the locker doors, turning his head to offer you a lazy grin as he does so, arm resting on top of the door.
“Relax. We’re not stuck in here, someone’s bound to come eventually.” He takes out a shirt and his school pants, glancing at you with a glint in his feral eyes. “And I’m gonna get dressed, so stop acting like the world is ending, sweetheart. You can watch if you-”
“Pass.” You turn to face the wall with heat in your cheeks, Kuroo’s chuckle annoying in your ears as you resist the urge to groan. You touch the wall with your forehead as a steady beat sounds in your chest, wondering why it had to be him.
“That wall isn’t the cleanest, babe.”
You flinch at the whisper that tickles your ear, Kuroo stepping back on instinct when you turn on him with that same smug look that you-
“Why do you hate me again? Just because Lev tells you I’m a little mean-”
“An absolute monster.” You correct, glaring at him as you put an arm out to distance yourself.
Kuroo’s grin only widens, hand reaching out to rest on the wall-space next to your head as he leans a little closer.
“Oh? And why does this pretty kitty believe him?”
“I...” You stand your ground, not breaking eye-contact as you pray he can’t see the heat tickling your cheeks and ears as your arm wavers. “I don’t. Stop flirting with me like all the others-”
“You think I pay attention to the other girls?” Kuroo’s eyebrows rise in amusement at your words as you blink in surprise, lips beginning to tremble.
“T-Then you’re trying to tell me I’m the only girl you pay attention to?”
“Would it be that big of a surprise?” Kuroo leans a little closer until his lips are by your ear, causing you to involuntarily shudder as your body betrays you. “It’s hard not to, you know?”
“Shut up.” You find strength in your legs and voice again as you shove him lightly, Kuroo merely catching one of your wrists as he grins at the fact that you seemed to be responding to his advances well. The blush on your cheeks only making him continue as his hazel eyes brim with seriousness.
“Kitten, do I have to spell it out for you?” Kuroo’s grip on your wrist tightens ever so slightly as the clean scent of him fills your nose, hazel eyes glinting as he takes in your now embarrassed expression from mere inches away.
“You’re always the prettiest one in the room.”
Your arm falls to your side completely as Kuroo takes the opportunity to rest a hand on your waist, his other hand going to cup your jaw as his breath ghosts over your lips-
“Y/N I CAME TO RESCUE YOU-!”
Lev stumbles through the jammed door dramatically, and you shove Kuroo away as you glare at the captain heatedly, gritting your teeth at the fact that you almost fell for it.
“Please don’t mess with my head, Tetsurou.”
Kuroo’s calls for you to come back fall on deaf ears as Lev looks between his captain and your retreating figure in wonderment, wondering what the hell was going on before a sinister-sounding chuckle fills the damp locker room.
“S-stop bullying my little cousin-!”
“Lev.” Kuroo turns his head as a shiver runs down his junior’s spine, Kuroo running a hand through his hair in an agitated manner as all teasing tendencies from before washed away. “Go. Make sure she gets home okay.”
The captain sighs as his own forehead touches the wall where yours had, a soft disbelieving scoff slipping his lips as the sound of Lev’s steps fade down the hall.
“I wasn’t messing with your pretty little head, Y/N.”
Tsukishima
“I feel like you did this on purpose.”
“Don’t flatter yourself.” You bite back as Tsukishima scoffs from behind you, and you turn slightly to cast a slight glare to the laid back blonde as Tsukishima scratches the back of his neck boredly. “Would it kill you to help me?”
“It’s locked. What can we do? You’re wasting strength.”
“Right, we have to use my upper body strength because I forgot you don’t have any.” You smile sweetly before breaking into a yawn, Tsukishima narrowing his eyes at you before pushing you slightly to the side.
“Move. I’ll be the one to open this damn door.”
“For someone who seems really calm you get riled up really easily.” You grin through slightly teary eyes from your yawn as Tsukishima makes the smallest effort at tugging the handle before turning to you.
“We’re stuck.”
“Oh are we?”
Tsukishima rolls his eyes as you take a comfortable seat against the lockers, sitting on the floor before groaning. “I can’t believe neither of us have our phones.”
“You’re a teenage girl, why are you without it?”
“Very good observation, Tsukki!”
“Don’t call me-”
“Anyways, Tsukki.” You cut him off, mock-cheeriness filling your voice as you bring your knees to your chest. “I came here to drop off Kageyama’s books for his homework tonight, so I left my phone in my classroom.”
“Funny way of saying you wanted to see me shower. That floor’s disgusting, by the way.”
“Bite me.” You yawn again, causing the blonde to lean against the jammed door while glancing at you, rubbing his fogged eyeglasses with the bottom of his practice shirt.
“Why do you look like you’re about to pass out?”
“Stop pretending to act like you’re interested.” You mumble, leaning your head on your crossed arms that rested on your knees. “But if you must know, I had exams today and ran soley on caffeine to get through them. I think the crash is hitting me.”
“Don’t die on our locker room floor, that’d be a pain to clean up.”
“Awe, your concern for me is the sweetest.” You quip, fighting the urge to close your eyes. “Just wake me when someone comes, will you?”
Tsukishima says nothing as he sees you beginning to nod off, cursing when you almost fall too far forward, his legs jutting out to cover your forehead and keep you steady when you’re fast asleep.
“Troublesome woman.” The blonde’s eyes narrow as he takes a seat next to you, carefully setting your head down on his shoulder as he rolls his eyes at the obvious heartbeat in his ears.
“Why did it have be you, anyways?” He whispers, brushing some hair out of your face before leaning his head back against the locker. Had it been anybody else, he would have been on the other side of the locker room, maybe even waiting it out in the showers-
so why did it have to be you?
“Tsukki.” You shift in your sleep, still halfway out of it as he merely hums in response, still acting disinterested until you cuddle your cheek into his shoulder, causing the blonde to tense up at the contact.
“You’re not a total bastard.”
Tsukishima can’t help the small smirk that overtakes his lips as he finds himself forgetting that every day seemed to be a challenge of who would confess first, praying that your even breaths signalled you were asleep again as he allows a ghost of a smile to grace his lips.
His hand slips into his sweats pocket as he wonders if he should feel guilty, taking his phone out as the screen lights up.
“And I suppose you’re not the worst choice of girl to like.”
Akaashi
“You’ve been at it for fifteen minutes.”
“Okay first of all- you’re creepy for keeping track.” You respond to the setter as Akaashi continues to absent-mindedly dry his hair with a towel, watching evenly as you finally give up before leaning your back against the jammed door.
“I’m sorry you’re stuck in here with someone you don’t like.” Akaashi mentions as he sets the damp towel down, frowning as he keeps a safe distance away from you. You bite your lip, guilt flooding your system as you mentally curse at how things turned out: Akaashi Keiji assuming you hated him and you having to go along with it to save face.
“I-It’s not just that.” You mumble, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “I don’t do well in confined spaces.”
“Is...is there anything I can do?”
“As if you could help.” You laugh a little sarcastically, chest panging when Akaashi backs down quietly, and you mentally wish that you hadn’t taken Konoha’s request of coming into the boy’s locker room to grab his forgotten gym bag.
“I don’t hate you.” The words rush out before you can stop them, and you curse that you weren’t able to handle Akaashi’s dejected expression.
But you feared if he knew the real reason-
“Then...why do you always leave the room when I enter it?” Akaashi stands, and you gulp when he begins to approach you. “I respect your space, but how come you told Bokuto that you can’t stand being around me?”
“Why do you care?” You manage to laugh. “I’m a nobody to you, Akaashi.”
Before the setter could respond, you begin to have trouble controlling your breathing, Akaashi just managing to catch you before you could collapse as blue-green eyes widen when you stumble to regain your balance.
“I-I’m fine-!”
“You’re not.” Akaashi scolds, carefully setting you down on the floor gently as you take deep breaths in through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. “What can I do-?”
“Stop! Just quit being so damn nice all the time!” The words burst out before you can realize them, putting some distance between the two of you as the confinement of the locker room makes you laugh a little hysterically.
“You make me have all these damn feelings for you when you’re just nice to everyone. That’s just who you are.” Your eyes brim with unshed tears. “That’s why I can’t be your friend, Akaashi! Not when I’m in-”
“Sh.” Akaashi tugs on your wrist as your eyes widen when he pulls you into his chest. The dark-haired boy digs his face into your neck, holding you tightly as the confinement of the room suddenly begins to fade away, the tightness in your chest relieving to allow a new emotion to take place.
“You were never a nobody to me, Y/N. When you stopped being my friend I wondered for days why you would just suddenly hate me...”
His hold tightened as a few tears slip your widened eyes, his voice falling to a hush in your neck.
“I’m sorry I never noticed. I’m sorry, so just be with me from now on, okay?”
“I-I already told you-”
“Not as my friend.” Akaashi cuts you off, thumb wiping at your eyes kindly as he pulls back gently to brush your nose with his. “Be with me as someone more than that.”
Akaashi smiles softly as your breathing evens out, tugging you into his chest even more as you smile as a new kind of tear runs down your cheek.
“I missed you, Keiji.”
Unbeknowst to the two of you, Konoha and Bokuto touch knuckles from just outside the door, Konoha trying to be silent as possible as he twists the key to unlock the lock.
“I told you we should meddle!”
“Akaashi would absolutely kill us if he found out, Bokuto-”
The two stiffen as said setter flings the door open with your giggling form behind his back, darkness cascading the setter’s face as Bokuto chukcles nervously, Konoha whistling as he looks off to the side while throwing the key a good distance away.
“Funny seeing you here, Akaashi!”
“Whaaaat Y/N, what are you doing in there-”
“I hate both of you.”

The great hall, like the rest of the castle, held none of the opulence but all of the steady grace of the Kageyama clan’s palace. The dark wood and creamy screened-walls were pristine and immaculately maintained, and made for a perfect backdrop to the intricate painted scrolls hung around the room. Lanterns dotted the pillars that supported the high ceiling, and there were narrow windows, practically slats, along the tops of the walls that let the early evening sunset bathe the room gold.
The decorations nearly made up for how empty the room was. Besides Shoyo, Matsukawa, and Kindaichi, there were only five other people in the room. Four were guards: two seated at the back of the raised platform that served as the dais and two standing at the sides of the entrance.
And the fifth, seated and leaning against a plush kyosoku at his side, was Oikawa.
He was every bit as lovely and frightening as Shoyo remembered, with his perfectly tousled chestnut hair and tawny eyes framed by dark lashes. His kimono flowed around him in a waterfall of rich, forest green silks, like the pine trees that covered his mountain, with coppery embroidery lining the hems with sunsets and clouds. He looked like a forest spirit, draped against his armrest amongst the dark wood of the great hall. “Well, well,” he hummed, cheek resting on his propped hand, “this is a surprise.”
“Hello, Oikawa-sama,” Shoyo murmured. He fell back on the etiquette he’d been trained in all his life, stepping forward and lowering himself to his knees to give a deep bow that almost physically pained him to do for the sorcerer. “Please pardon my intrusion.”
“Do spare me the formalities. I am not one of those nobles you are so used to dealing with, little samurai. I won’t be so easily swayed by pretty manners.” When Shoyo looked up from the tatami floor, his hands curled into fists under the unamused gaze Oikawa pinned on him, with none of the false charm or demure he’d greeted him with. Their eyes met, and whatever Oikawa found on Shoyo’s face made a humorless smirk curl his lips. “That’s more like it. Now then, no use in wasting either of our time. Tell me what you’re here for.”
Wasting time. As though Shoyo hadn’t spent the past few months trying to reach this place. As though Oikawa didn’t know that. He swallowed hard against his rising anger before speaking. “I’m here for Tobio Kageyama.”
“I imagined as much,” Oikawa sniffed with his features carefully arranged to look impassive. “What about him?”
“I’m here to ask for his freedom.”
To Shoyo’s surprise, his declaration was met with only a heavy sigh. Oikawa remained reclined against his kyosoku, idly tracing the line of his lips with a light fingertip. He eventually hummed, “Hm…perhaps I was wrong. I think I would’ve preferred hearing that with some groveling.”
It was Shoyo’s turn to stay quiet, listening to Oikawa with a jaw clenched against the fury pushing at his teeth. “Tobio-chan’s freedom, hm? Why, pray tell, would I grant him that?” Oikawa straightened in his seat as he spoke, eyes hardening with every word. “There is nothing about this arrangement that he didn’t know before. I cursed him, gave him the terms to break it, and he failed those terms. Now he’s facing the punishment for his failure and his crime. That’s more than Iwa got to have.”
“It…it was a mistake,” Shoyo tried to argue. “A fatal mistake, but a mistake. He already spent the past six years being punished for it. It’s not his fault the curse wasn’t broken! It was mine!”
“And why, exactly, did you fail to break the curse?” Oikawa asked. “He was meant to find someone who could go a year sleeping at his side without ever seeing his face. The fact that you couldn’t do so speaks to the lack of trust between you two. He failed to sow that trust. The fault falls on him, and he agrees. Why do you think he came so easily with me?”
“I did trust him! It wasn’t a lack of trust that made me light the candle!” A note of desperation slipped into Shoyo’s words, and he tried to hide it beneath a steady voice. “I didn’t just trust him. I loved him. I fell in love with him without seeing his human form. The only reason I saw him was because I’d fallen in love with him. I already knew everything that mattered about him, except for his face. I just…I just wanted to see his face.”
“Yes, well,” Oikawa sighed, “you can see why that wouldn’t exactly support your case, can’t you? And besides, you knew you’d fallen in love with him, but did he?”
“What?”
“Did he know you loved him? Did you ever tell him?”
“I…” He must have. He must have.
“You deserve to be loved. And you are loved.”
But when he thought back over the meals and nights and conversations and training they had shared, he couldn’t find a moment where he had said the words.
“Everything I am is yours, Okami-san. All of it.”
Yes, there were the meals he’d learned to make just the way Tobio liked.
“I chose you and you chose me. That’s all I care about.”
There were the kisses he’d pressed to his trembling lips after he shared a secret, the lines of his body that his hands had memorized, the time he’d spent caring for the wounds he’d sustained on the mountain.
“You’re my whole heart, Okami-san…Tobio.”
“You’re mine, Tobio, and I’m yours. As long as you want me, you’ll have me.”
“Then I’ll come for you. I don’t care what it takes, I’ll come for you, I swear.”
So many memories. So many different ways of showing his love. But not a single time when he’d said those three words.
His answer must have been plain on his face, because a satisfied smile curled Oikawa’s lips. “Ah. There you have it.”
“I showed him. I showed him, he must’ve—”
“He’s a disgraced heir who was trapped in the body of a wolf because of a curse he brought on himself. Can you really blame him for thinking he’s unloveable? I’m sure he might have believed you loved him before I brought him here. But it’s been months, little samurai. He’s had plenty of time to convince himself he was unworthy of any of it. He already thought he wasn’t worth the journey to find him before he left your side. How do you think he feels now?”
“But the curse—”
“—remains unbroken. He’s no longer a wolf, but the binding magic of the curse keeps him tied here, and it will continue to do so unless he can somehow prove the trust between you two.”
It was ridiculous. It didn’t make sense. It was so unbelievably, sensationally unfair. But what did Shoyo know about magic? It was a miracle he’d even found his way to this castle—he certainly didn’t know anything about negotiating with curses.
Grief returned to his chest with the same devastation as a canyon opening in an earthquake. But with the grief came a stubborn refusal, snaking its way like a river through the yawning hole in his heart. It couldn’t end like this. He wouldn’t let it end like this.
“Let me see him.”
“What?”
“Let me see him. Let me tell him I love him, the way I should’ve before.”
The cackles that sounded through the room were harsh and cruel. “You think that will change anything now?” Oikawa gasped between his peals of laughter. “You’ve already seen his face. You can’t break the curse now.”
“I don’t care about the curse,” Shoyo snapped, “I care about him. Whatever happens, I need him to know. Please, just…let me speak to him. Let me tell him.”
Oikawa’s laughter slowly faded into an amused curiosity, as though he were watching a suspenseful show and not a man begging for his lover. “And why would I do that?”
“Because…” The words that rose to Shoyo’s lips stalled for a breath. They were strong. They were dangerous. They were a risk.
They would have to be enough.
“Because you loved someone, once.”
Anger flashed in Oikawa’s eyes, wiping away his cruel amusement and settling into a cold ire. “Yes, I did,” he murmured. The smooth, dulcet, low tones of his voice made a terrified shudder run up Shoyo’s spine. “I loved someone who he killed. So again, I ask: why would I let you see him?”
Shoyo didn’t know he was capable of holding back such visceral anger. “If he’s going to stay here, he deserves to at least know that he’s loved, and that he’s worthy of it. Let me remind him, please.” Every nerve in his body protested against the bow he dipped into again. “Please allow him that.”
“If he stays? Optimistic, aren’t we?” Shoyo straightened and found Oikawa’s eyes slowly narrowing the longer he stared. “Why do I sense my magic on you?”
Shoyo blinked, startled by the sudden pivot in conversation. “I…you do?”
Oikawa just hummed, scanning over Shoyo’s entire body where he was knelt on the floor. “…Show me your wrists.”
Realization washed over Shoyo as he obeyed with a frown. Sure enough, as soon as Oikawa’s eyes fell on the bracelets adorning his wrist, he ordered, “The one with the blue stone. Give it to me.”
“Why?!”
“Because I’ve been sloppy,” Oikawa scoffed with a roll of his eyes. “I don’t need stray traces of my magic lingering outside of this island now that Tobio is here. Frankly, I don’t know why there’s still enough of my magic left for me to sense it, but never mind. Give it here.”
He said it so easily, with such natural command, that Shoyo’s fingers immediately moved to untie the bracelet. But he froze before he could begin loosening the knot and raised his eyes from his wrist to Oikawa. “No.”
Surprise was quickly chased off by a low-simmering anger. “…No?”
“No,” Shoyo confirmed, fighting to keep his voice steady. “Not for free. Give me a night with Tobio, then I’ll give you the bracelet.”
Newfound amusement ever-so-slightly softened the edge of Oikawa’s anger, though any reassurance Shoyo might’ve felt was smothered by the dangerous tilt of his lips. “Oh, well done. I didn’t think you’d be clever enough to even attempt a deal. Alright, fine. You can have one night in exchange for my bracelet. You’ll be led to him at sundown, and taken away at sunrise.” With that, he held out his hand in a silent demand for the bracelet.
The hope bubbling up within Shoyo was snagged by suspicion. “…What’s the catch?”
“The catch? Why, you wound me, samurai-chan.”
“I don’t care. What’s the catch? Why would you agree for only a bracelet?”
Oikawa’s eyes narrowed, returning fear to Shoyo’s tangle of emotions. “A word of advice, little samurai. Since I’m feeling so generous. When an opportunity like this presents itself, I would spend more time deciding how to best take advantage of it, and less time questioning it. Especially to the person behind the opportunity. Understand?”
Nervous silence swallowed Shoyo’s voice, leaving him wordless as he approached the platform and finally placed the bracelet in the palm of Oikawa’s hand. But before he could pull away, Oikawa caught his wrist and held him in place, forcing him to meet his venomous gaze. “When you leave in the morning, it will be the last time I have to see your ridiculous, eyesore hair, understand? You will return to your sweet little family, and you will forget about our spoiled prince and this whole affair.”
His family? What did Oikawa know about his family?
“You can’t—”
“I wouldn’t finish that sentence, brat,” Oikawa snapped. “Kindaichi-kun?”
There was a small squeak behind Shoyo, followed by a tremulous, “Yes, Oikawa-san?”
“Would you kindly show our little intruder to a spare room? I won’t have him wandering our island and wreaking who-knows-what kind of havoc.”
“Yes, sir.” He didn’t say anything until Shoyo turned back around to face him. Then he muttered, “Follow me, please.”
He didn’t look back as he followed Kindaichi out of the great hall, not until he stopped feeling the heavy weight of Oikawa’s gaze on his back. When it suddenly eased at the wood screens, he finally gave into the urge to look over his shoulder.
The space by the kyosoku was empty, but everything else looked the same. Shoyo hadn’t seen or heard any other exit be used. It was as though Oikawa were a mirage swept away by a single blink.
“Go on, kid.” His eyes left the platform to find Matsukawa watching him with a small grin. “Before he changes his mind.”
The idea made Shoyo’s stomach drop, and he hurried after Kindaichi.
The halls of the palace seemed to pass in a blur, with Shoyo’s attention turned to what on earth he would say to Tobio. What did one say to the love of their life after months of forced separation? How did one reunite with their beloved when their last day together was spent in the aftermath of a terrible betrayal?
With all the possibilities and anxieties wrapped into a single night, Shoyo was relieved that the most important words were already decided. Just three words to hopefully set both their minds at ease. As for the rest…well, he had an hour or two to decide.
The room that he was left waiting in was small but comfortable. Shoyo actively avoided making too many comparisons between it and his room in the mountains, instead focusing on wiping himself clean with the rag and bucket of water he’d been able to request. Apparently this waiting room was intended to serve as a jail of sorts, as he wasn’t even allowed to visit the bathing rooms.
At least the water was warm, with the slightest scent of pine needles lingering on his skin as he rubbed away the streaks of dirt and cleaned the wolf bite on his arm. It had fully scabbed over in the weeks since the attack, but he still kept it wrapped when he traveled, not wanting to risk any tearing or infection. Now, when he wrapped it again, it was more an attempt to keep it from being the first thing Tobio noticed. He would already be upset enough by Shoyo’s quest without seeing the injuries he’d sustained.
He cleaned and dressed himself, and spent the remaining minutes staring at the shifting colors of the sun that slipped through the high windows. As the sunlight dimmed, his own eagerness grew, crowding in his lungs and throat like the blossoms that bloomed in springtime. Yes, he still didn’t know exactly what he would say to Tobio, but it didn’t matter. He wouldn’t let it matter. Their bond had grown through awkward conversations and teasing taunts. As long as he could hold Tobio and be held back, Shoyo would be happy.
The instant the last bit of sunlight slid away, a quiet, “Pardon my intrusion,” slipped through the shoji screens before they slid open, revealing Kindaichi holding a candle. “It’s time. Are you ready?” Shoyo nodded. “Alright. Follow me, please.”
As Shoyo gathered his pack and obeyed the quiet instruction, he idly wondered how many times Kindaichi would say those three words. They were already at two in as many hours.
An unnerving quiet had settled over the castle along with the evening darkness, broken only by the light of Kindaichi’s candle and the sounds of their shuffling footsteps. Uneasiness slowly chased off Shoyo’s excitement when Kindaichi led him further into the castle, past even the great hall, and up a flight of stairs. He was being led to the innermost chambers of the castle, the part that would have been the most secure back when this place was used as a fort.
Perhaps it was meant to serve as protection. But Shoyo knew it was better for holding someone in than keeping danger out.
Kindaichi abruptly stopped, forcing Shoyo to stumble to a halt before he ran into him. “Hold this, please.” Shoyo automatically accepted the candle and watched mutely as Kindaichi undid some sort of locking mechanism holding the screens shut. “Oikawa-san wanted me to remind you that you have until sunrise,” he murmured as he worked. “You won’t be monitored while you’re in there, but the room will be checked after you leave, so just…be careful about anything you decide to leave behind.” His eyes flickered to Shoyo’s when he took the candle back, and the sympathy in them told Shoyo the warning came from a place of genuine guidance, not just a cold rule set in place by Oikawa.
“I will,” he reassured him. “Thank you for letting me know.”
Kindaichi’s lips pressed thin as he stared at Shoyo for an extra breath, before he abruptly nodded and slid the screens open. “I’ll see you in the morning.” Something about the sad sympathy that lingered on those nervous features pressed against Shoyo’s breathless excitement. That wasn’t the expression of someone who was helping to reunite a couple. Why? What gave? Was it because of what Tobio had done? Maybe Kindaichi also didn’t think he deserved even this bit of joy.
Shoyo didn’t have a chance to come to a conclusion before the screens slid shut, leaving him with only the moonlight streaming through the windows to illuminate the room in a silvery veil. The lock audibly clicked back into place, but he didn’t let more than a prick of annoyance distract him. There was someone much more important demanding his attention.
“Tobio!” he whispered loudly, “Tobio, it’s me!”
He didn’t get a response, but he did see a futon in the center of the room, with a human-shaped lump beneath the covers that looked about the size of a certain body his hands knew better than anything else.
Sure enough, when he moved closer to the futon, he could see black hair and pale skin peeking out of the covers. He crept to the side of the futon and carefully sat on the edge of it, letting his fingers brush back the messy strands falling into Tobio’s eyes. “Okami-san,” he whispered, bringing his hand down to cup Tobio’s cheek. “…Tobio.”
Nothing.
There was no response to either name—Tobio just kept sleeping, as deeply and relaxed as a baby. “Tobio,” Shoyo tried again, this time gently shaking his shoulder.
Still nothing.
Panic and confusion and hurt swelled inside him as he shook his shoulder harder. “Tobio! Tobio, Okami-san, Tobio, please, it’s me,” he pleaded, his voice catching on the lump that had risen to his throat.
And still, Tobio slept, his head lolling like a doll’s at Shoyo’s shakes. It didn’t make sense. In the year they’d spent together, he had never known Tobio to sleep this heavily. Even when he came to fully trust Shoyo and let himself sleep deeply, he would still wake up to a kiss, much less someone shaking him like this.
So why? Why was he sleeping like this now? What had Oikawa done?
“You’re so stupid,” he whispered. He rested his forehead gently against Tobio’s, and fought against the tears burning behind his eyes. “I was supposed to be your big hero, and you’re sleeping. I can’t rescue you like this.” He pulled away to gaze at his sleeping lover—it was surreal, seeing those lovely features for the first time in months, after only having seen them for a few hours. Even more surreal was the bone-deep certainty that this was his shadow, settled and strong despite the sight of him still feeling almost unfamiliar.
That same certainty told him that this sleep was induced. But how? And by what? Was it magic, one last spiteful jab from Oikawa to keep Shoyo from what he truly wanted? Everything in him hoped that wasn’t the case. He had no way to fight against that, no way to figure out how to counteract it.
Not that he had many options now, anyway. “Come on…come on,” he muttered, pinching Tobio’s cheeks and stretching them. “Wake up, you big, stupid jerk!” He pushed back the covers to poke him in the ribs, pinched at his nose, gently blew at his eyes, anything he could think that would rouse Tobio from pure reflex.
And still…nothing. He didn’t cringe away from Shoyo’s poking and prodding; his eyelashes barely fluttered from the puffs of air on his face. The more Shoyo toyed with him, the more this seemed like a living death, not a simple sleep.
He ran out of options that weren’t invasive, leaving him slumped with defeat next to the futon. “I can’t…I don’t know, Tobio,” he whispered, feeling himself tilt closer to the hopelessness brewing in his chest. “I don’t know what to do.”
He wished, more than anything, that he could see his eyes. Whether he was in wolf form or human, Tobio’s dark blue eyes were one of only two things that were familiar to Shoyo. When he looked into those midnight depths and heard that gruff, uncertain voice, he knew that this man was, in fact, the shadow he’d fallen in love with.
And now Shoyo couldn’t see them. He could only watch them flicker behind Tobio’s eyelids, and watch those dark lashes brush his pale cheeks and the black hair falling into his face.
He couldn’t see those eyes…couldn’t see…couldn’t…
In a burst of desperate inspiration, he lifted the covers and slid under them to lay next to Tobio. As he pressed close, he let his eyes flutter shut, until he could only touch Tobio, just the way he’d been forced to for a year.
It was strange, how settling it was to only be able to touch him. It was familiar, comforting, and let Shoyo pretend, for just a moment, that they were back in that little house, just the two of them, tangling their bare legs together under the thick covers of Tobio’s futon.
With the sense of comfort came a lowering of Shoyo’s defenses, until there was nothing holding his tears back. They burned behind his eyelids and down his cheeks as they pressed out of his eyes, and no amount of biting his lip could hold back his sobs anymore. All Shoyo could do was cling to Tobio’s sleeping body and bury his face in his chest, letting the wracking of his sobs match the slow heartbeat at his ear.
“Why can’t you wake up?” he wept. “Just wake up, you idiot. Let me tell you how much I love you. Let me get you out of here. I went on a whole stupid quest, and you can’t even stay awake?”
The lack of any response, not even a grumble, brought a fresh wave of tears to Shoyo’s eyes. He hadn’t thought it would be possible, but this was worse than the lonely first months of his journey. At least then, he could look forward to his loneliness eventually being broken by Tobio. But now he was here, technically reunited with his love, and lonelier than ever.
Then, suddenly, a soft sigh ruffled his hair, before clumsy arms wrapped around him and pulled him in even closer to Tobio’s warm body. A surprised laugh tumbled out between sobs. “Of course you’ll respond to cuddles,” he mumbled, curling into Tobio’s chest and resting his ear over his heart. “You big baby.”
Tears still streamed down Shoyo’s face, but these were tears of relief. It had been so long since he’d been held like this, and even longer since he’d been surrounded by Tobio’s warmth and scent, at least outside of his dreams. Disappointment still ached between his ribs, but at least he could have this, the sweet embrace he’d been dreaming of for months.
Eventually, despite the tears still damp on his cheeks, Shoyo drifted to a blissfully-dreamless sleep. He had no need for the Tobio of his dreams, not when he had the real thing in his arms.
When Shoyo jolted awake, it was to the sight of the sunrise bathing the room with orange light, the feeling of Tobio’s arms still warm around him, and the sound of someone sliding the shoji screen open. “Hello?” he mumbled, lifting his head and blinking at the open screens.
“Ah, good morning.” He registered the sound of Kindaichi’s voice before he fully processed the sight of his face peering in. “It’s time for you to go. We need to move quickly, Oikawa-san wants you out as soon as possible.”
“Oh…” Shoyo looked over at the windows, and his heart sank when he saw the shifting, brightening light coming in. That was right…sunset to sunrise. It was already time to go. “Alright, just…give me a sec.”
Everything in Shoyo screamed to stay wrapped in Tobio’s heavy arms. It was the first time he’d ever woken up before him, the first time he woke up still held by him. When his arms finally fell away, Shoyo’s throat and eyes ached from the sobs he was desperately holding back.
Through it all, Tobio stayed stubbornly asleep. The sight of his face all slack with slumber made frustration and adoration clash in Shoyo, until he couldn’t resist resting a hand against his cheek and dipping down to press a lingering kiss to his temple. “I’m sorry, Tobio,” he whispered. “I’ll come back, I swear. You better be awake when I do.”
A furrow had appeared between Tobio’s brows when Shoyo slipped out of his arms, and only disappeared when Shoyo smoothed a thumb over it. His heart squeezed at the sight of his handsome features relaxing under his touch. Between that and the way he’d held Shoyo last night, it was as though he knew, in some corner of his subconscious, that Shoyo was the one touching him, and no one else.
When he pulled his hand away, a soft clinking drew his attention to his wrist, and the bracelets that remained: one from Natsu and one from his parents. Natsu’s had grown dull with time and the journey, but was still a soft, smooth comfort amidst everything he’d been through. Seeing it next to Tobio’s face abruptly reminded him of the day the wolf had brought the bracelet to him from home, and the way he had fit himself into Shoyo’s lap and let him hold him in a tight, tearful embrace.
Tobio knew this bracelet. He had seen Shoyo wearing it for most of the year they’d spent together. If he saw it next to himself in the morning, maybe he would realize that Shoyo had been there, right at his side.
A different, more recent reminder loomed over him: “The room will be checked after you leave, so just…be careful about anything you decide to leave behind.” Any signs he left for Tobio would have to wait for when they were alone again, away from any eyes that would spot Shoyo tying the bracelet to Tobio’s wrist. Which meant he had to make sure he could bargain for another night.
“Um…Hinata?”
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” he mumbled, not looking away from Tobio. He pressed one last kiss to his temple, straightened his own robes, gathered his things, and finally rose to his feet. When he looked back at Kindaichi, pity prickled in him at the sight of his guilt-ridden frown. “Thanks for waiting.”
“Oh, yeah. Sure.” That was all Kindaichi said as he waited for Shoyo to leave the room. He was silent as he locked up the screens and began leading the way back through the castle, keeping his face turned away from Shoyo and making sure to stay two steps ahead of him the entire way.
Shoyo had done a lot of growing in his time with Tobio and during his quest. But some things hadn’t changed, and his restlessness with silence was one of them. “Hey, Kindaichi? Can I ask you a question?”
His guide’s shoulders jolted up to his ears. “...Sure?”
“How do you…feel about Tobio?”
Even though he couldn’t see Kindaichi’s face, there were other little details that betrayed his reaction to the question: the falter in his steps, the tension lining his neck and lowered shoulders, and the way his fingers tightened around his unused lantern. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, do you hate him? The way Oikawa-sama does?”
A low sigh filled the space before his answer. “I…I used to,” he admitted in a voice so low, his words nearly didn’t reach Shoyo. “We all did, when he first killed Iwaizumi-san. But now…” He trailed off, and then, to Shoyo’s surprise, he slowed just enough to let Shoyo walk at his side and hear his voice get even lower. “It’s been six years. We still miss him, and what Kageyama did was terrible, but…he also went along with Oikawa-san’s curse. He did everything Oikawa-san told him to do, even with the impossible conditions, right up until the last month, and even then, the failure wasn’t really…his fault.” He gave a sidelong glance at Shoyo, who could only offer a small grimace of acknowledgment. “Punishing him even more after all that doesn’t really…it doesn’t feel very fair anymore, y’know?”
“Yeah. Definitely.” Shoyo’s brows furrowed for a beat. “Wait…what sort of ‘punishment’ has he had?”
Kindaichi blinked, surprise and guilt shadowing his expression. “It’s nothing too bad,” he said, sounding almost reassuring. “Oikawa-san is basically making him work as a foot soldier. Ever since—” He choked off, eyes going wide before he powered through. “There have been more monsters than usual around the island. We’ve been staying more on defense, making sure none of them get onto the castle grounds. But Oikawa-san sends Kageyama out into the wild, so that any monsters he runs into, he’ll have to fight by himself.”
Icy shock and burning anger zipped through Shoyo, raising the hairs on his arms and leaving him a little lightheaded. “That…that could kill him!” he hissed. The memory of the ushi-oni added dread to the mixture of emotions churning through him. “How hasn’t he been injured? He didn’t have any wounds last night.”
“That’s because we have a really skilled healer,” Kindaichi declared, looking both sorry for Tobio and proud of whoever this healer was. “He can use his magic to speed up the healing process for any wounds, and he’s been ordered to do that for Kageyama, too.”
It didn’t…it didn’t make sense. Was Oikawa keeping Tobio alive out of sadism or a strange streak of pity? Why assign him such a dangerous task if he was so insistent on keeping him alive? Everything Shoyo learned about the sorcerer and the choices he’d made just left him feeling even more confused.
He didn’t get a chance to ask any more questions. The walk through the castle passed quickly with the new information distracting him, and he was startled when Kindaichi suddenly stopped and opened the door to the staircase out. “Here we are.”
“Oh.” Shoyo stepped towards the top step…and whirled back towards Kindaichi, startling the other man. “If I show up again,” he whispered, hoping no one else was around to hear his words, “would you let me back in?”
Kindaichi’s face twisted with indecision, his dark eyes firm on Shoyo’s. When he answered, his words came slow and deliberate, careful to not incriminate himself. “If you can get onto the castle grounds and all the way back here,” he murmured, “then I’m sure Oikawa-san will want to speak with you again, even if it’s just to throw you back out.”
That sounded as close to an affirmative as Shoyo could hope to get. “Alright.” He considered Kindaichi for a quiet moment—despite the nerves that seemed to plague him, he had a certain conviction and strength to him that reminded Shoyo a bit of Yamaguchi. Maybe somewhere else, under different circumstances, they could have been friends.
He didn’t say any of that. He just bit his tongue, gave Kindaichi a small bow, and took his first steps down the staircase. The sound of the door clicking shut behind him had a finality that weighed heavy on his heart, but he didn’t let it sink from his chest. This wouldn’t be the last time he walked through that door. He would make certain of that.

SEIJOH MANANGER HEADCANONS
seijoh, aoba johsai x reader | slight oikawa, iwaizumi and kunimi x reader.
a/n: ugh! i just love my seijoh boys so much! and so, i decided to make one more headcanons for them, tysm! hopefully ill do inarizaki next or maybe karasuno.
a bit long but i just love them, and i will do a part two mainly focusing on while they do volleyball this is more of random things
other seijoh!manager works: one | two
Tumblr media
the volume in this bus is ASTRONOMICAL
you actually never thought of joining a club, specially a sports one.
but you needed it, so while looking at the board of the school’s options you were unsure.
“i just really need something not that complicated, and that helps me helping others” you muttered to yourself
little did you know the coach of the volleyball team was there, this nice man turned to you and offered you a place in the team.
“but please if you are one of oikawa’s fangirls dont-” “who now?” you genuinely asked. seeing that you didn’t had a clue of who he was talking about he immediately handed the application for to you.
it was first day and you were already late, but you managed to enter the gym half way practice.
you guys remember that tanaka and kiyoko scene in s4? well it was the same
“sorry for being late coach!” your voice sounded all over the place since someone was serving and it was pretty quiet.
ALL OF THEM WERE SHOCKED LIKE 🧍🏻‍♀️
the serve even hit yahaba’s face because everyone got distracted by your beauty
“i- did i do something?” “existing omg”
the coach lined up everyone and they greeted you welcoming you to the team.
you were flustered because it was like you never had a lot of guys around you and now you had to take care of all of them and also
aoba johsai’s team had one of the most attractive boys around likeeee
now, a year later, the energy is purely chaotic.
and i mean like
kindaichi and kunimi are lowkey the ones who respect you the most
not only because you, even if it was for only a year, you were their upperclassman but also you had presence
when karasuno came to the practice andy oh catched both of them after talking to kageyama in the bathroom, you pinched their ears and scolded them
“you both do that again and i’m not being compassionate” “SORRY Y/N”
but also lowkey your admirers
kunimi literally only showed strong emotions around you
“i brought you some sweets” he regularly says
“oh you are great! thank you kunimi!”you appreciated this guys little details with you
“so you have a favoritism with our manager huh?”
“y/n permission to hit kindaichi”
“permission conceded”
kindaichi also respected you because you, when he entered seijoh months ago, were one of the ones who made him believe and helped getting over that anger he had with his ex teammates and you even assured that kageyama was the reason he got better, even if he wouldn’t accept it
the second years, your literal followers
like seriously yahaba watori were always around you.
being in the same grade and class as both dod not helped a lot.
they are like puppies with anxiety separation
because you are the reason they feel loved and cared for
they always sit next to you in class, and they make sure you are comfortable with it.
you need help with hw? watori always is there
yahaba lets you paint his nails every time you got bored in class
you were such a powerful trio
they always bring your favorite drink in the mornin
you even developed this sixth sense where if you just look at each other you know exactly who are you making fun of without even speaking
you always make fun of the shit way of yahaba to flirt oml
and you even advice him on what should he do or not when meeting someone new.
istg if it was not bc of you he would have never got his first date with his crush
kyoutani later joined you, but he had trouble on trusting you
but seeing all the team laying on you he actually let himself rely on another person for the first time
he was the one who scared those stupid volleyball boys fan girls (oikawa’s or the other guys ones) away from you
he also thinks that you are not bad physically talking and he actually says it but privately
he also whenever he is mad or just frustrated comes to you and what he likes is that you don’t go in deep of the details but instead you try to distract him with random thing you say.
“guys i told you several times” you laughed “i do have other thing to do! it not like i can attend every night out with you! i have other friends too!”
“so, we are not watching cartoons tonight?”
“i hate you all so much” you surrendered “see you at 8 pm”
you became the second years core four
and also they looked up to you a lot, why? because you are the only people who always deals with the third years shit
god i think your connection with the third years was only a bit more noticeable than the second years
why? you were not afraid to mess up with them
to be real iwaizumi as oikawa caught your eye since moment one, they were naturally attractive and talented but you made a promise to not fall for anyone
omg you were so wrong
if it was iwaizumi, he always made sure you felt comfortable around
you were no vb genius so he took the time to explain you a bunch of things you did not know 🥺
also, he’s the kind of guy to stop everyone spiking because you were crossing through the gym so no ball gets you
he is the one who always search for you in school, asked about your day, and stuff that might seem basic but it was really meaningful
like he is the kind of guy who memorizes all your favorite places, treats, music anything and actually tries to get you to talk about it
oikawa on the other hand was the one who actually made you feel like part of them
he is so sweet!
like
oikawa only starts practice when you are there
like bold of someone to start hitting a ball without you there, he considered you part of the team, so he always waited for you
he walked you home or nearby every time he could he wanted you safe
his eyes always always instantly light up and screams “y/n-chan!” and immediately runs to you
but also he is the one who search you the most around
if it was lunch time he went to your home room and literally lunches with you no matter what or who
he never lets anyone lend you their hoodie, it always has to be his that you are wearing
he self crowned himself as your favorite
he hugs you out of nowhere istg is the best feeling ever
hanamaki also also also considers you priority
he is kinda more of the lowkey one, he is mainly the one who checks up on you
he once spotted a bruise in your arm and he immediately freaked out
“DO I HAVE TO FIGHT SOMEONE” “god no! i just dropped a huge book there!”
hanamaki is the one who waits for you in the entrance of the gym to walk with you to practice
he also is the first one to notice if something is wrong with you along with iwachan
they both unintentionally pay attention to you a lot and if you do something out of the common they just approach you
and they are always right
“what’s wrong y/n?” hanamaki says
“yeah, is everything okay you need anything?” iwaizumi continues.
“what do you mean guys? i’m okay” you obviously try to lie.
“no you are not, you are acting different”
“yea iwachan is right you always change yous t shirt before practice and the way you are ordering the volleyballs is off”
“why do know me so well” you indeed had a terrible day, so you almost tear up bb of that and be of how amazing your boys were to you sometimes”
“come here little one”
you heard a pout
“i see you oikawa, you can get a hug too. matsu come here”
matsukawa is your hype man
he loves messing with you like in the big brother sister way
like if a guy asked you out he’d be like “sis you can do so much better”
you are always being salty whether it’s between you or other ones
besides if you do have a crush on anyone on the team matsu is the only one to know
and he’d constantly blackmail you with that
“if you don’t buy me anything from the vending machine i will tell oikawa you actually swoon for him” “OKAY FINE”
“tell the coach that we do not need laps or iwaizumi is gonna knowwwww about” “i hate you so much”
but returning to the point you always messed with them specially the four third years
and you were so good at it
one day, you ‘innocently’ mentioned to the boys “i’m just telling you! i’ve never seen two pretty best friends, one of them always gotta be ugly”
GOD LORD THE BOMB YOU JUST ACTIVATED
THEY SPENT A WHOLE WEEK TRYING TO FUGURE OUT WHO WAS THE PRETTY BEST FRIEND BETWEEN IWA AND OIKAWA, ALSO MATSU AND HANAMAKI AHHAHAHAAH
your third years never made you feel insecure
like if you think idk listening to btr was weird because someone in the past made you feel like it be sure the next day they WILL PLAY FUCKING BIG TIME RUSH IN PRACTICE ONLY FOR YOU TO VIBE WITH THEM
also they all four have this little thought that they have to be the ones who protect you
in the court you looked out for them, outside of it they were the ones who did that
if you were teased or someone even had the audacity to make fun of you it could go three ways
you stoping kyoutani and yahaba because they were so ready to throw hands
matsukawa, hanamaki and kunimi just taking you out of there and rather say positive thinks about you
or oikawa and iwaizumi behind you giving the saltiest and meanest glares to whoever dared talking you that way and saying “and you still wonder why people don’t like you?, ” then iwaizumi says “you are right oikawa, you piece of crap have your entire life to be a jerk. take a day off your stupidity won’t left anyways”
god you sure loved those guys
BUT
as it can be really useful sometimes there were other times were they become so annoying
specially when it’s about someone liking you.
like romantic styles
i live for the idea that the vb team had obviously fangirls, oikawa mostly. but you also did
like yeah the fangirls of oikawa and the boys envied you
but the guys in aoba johsai high envied the volleyball team even more
god bless the poor guy or girl who DARES to ask you out
like please someone stop them 😭
on valentine’s day you came to practice a bit late just because you needed to figure it out how to organize all the fucking love letters and the chocolates and flowers that you got over the day.
oikawa was already worried as he always waited for you to start, and so were the guys so they decided to warm up a bit more to wait.
you crossed the door with thousands of gifts and all of that barely catching the ones which you dropped. because at this point you did not even try to hide it from the boys, you just wanted them to start practice.
he looked at you and knew exactly what that meant. he received this every once in a while, but god what was that feeling in his chest when some other people like you?
iwaizumi felt that too, that weird feeling not wanting anyone to think about you that wayyyyy
the rest of the boys had divided opinions but still you were their manager.
“so did all this came from...”
“yes matsu...”
“okay but for scientific purposes we need the names”
“HANAMAKI NO”
poor boys, they just are all scared that you’ll leave them because of someone
what a dramatic queens they are all
some of them didn’t like it bc they also had a big crush on you
so what they do is that they gatekeep anyone from you
like oml if they ever catched you and a girl or guy and they knew they liked you they constantly beg for your attention.
and it’s not only because they are being dramatic but also because they remember last year when you went out with some random dude and broke your heart like
they almost killed that guy
so they wanted you to feel happy and safe
to them? honestly you are the light of their life.
they dedicate every game to you, they take care of you, they listen to you, they brag about you, they love you
because honestly you did all that for them first
and ever since then they made sure to return that to you.

iwa had let oikawa take out some pent up energy, that just mean he lets tooru fuck you for hours at a time while iwa watches
if you moan in oikawa’s ear he’ll immediately get hard
matsukawa and hanamaki share pictures of you in bed with them, to the other
kindaichi watched you suck kunimi off and didn’t say anything about it until a team sleepover
speaking of the team sleepover, oikawa was dare to have phone sex with you while they were all there, and he never told you
yahaba likes fucking you in windows
if you are dating any of the third years, they all have pictures and videos of you
