I know there is a lot of angst like this going on but for some odd reason it just feels right to make. I feel as if 42 Miles won't be as affectionate then others make him appear to be. NO HATE ON THEM. I love reading them.

I feel like he'll still have a somewhat cold demeanor. I haven't seen many where Y/N doesn't really care that Miles is The Prowler. Just needing him by her side more than anything was a blessing in her honor.

"¿Por qué no puedes decírmelo? You avoid my calls, my texts, everytime I try to talk to you! You act like I'm not even 'ere!" It felt like a train hit her when Miles didn't respond, Breaking the eye contact they held for so long. Y/N just rolled her eyes, fed up with a relationship that clearly wasn't working.

"When you wanna talk, hit me up Hombre, other than that you can leave." Y/N shook her head, grabbing her book bag off the floor and walking towards their shared room.

She was acting like this because he wanted to disappear for more than a whole ass week. Ignoring her, leaving his own girlfriend on read when she was worried sick for him. Only think he had to say was "he was busy." Apparently it was more important than she'll ever be.

Slamming the door once she got inside just to feel tears swell in her eyes. Everything was frustrating her, constant arguments, school. The girl was overstimulated to say the least. Her back pushed up against the wall as she attempts to calm herself down with shallow deep breaths.

It felt like everything she worked for was against her. The man she loves not giving her the care she needs to pull through with all of this shit. Her family pressuring her to do a good job in school.

She just wanted to settle down on a peaceful path, but that seemed to redeem to much in her life. Having to work two jobs day and night was a struggle and Miles knew that. Yet he still did what he said he wasn't going to do.

Leaving her when she was the most vulnerable. She felt as if she wasn't valuable in his life at all. Wanting to cut off the one thing that used to make her life better.

But oh how she loves Miles. At the same time she wanted to apologize, pull him in a strong embrace. But she knew in the end he'd do the same thing. Disappear on her for decades on end.

The last string she held onto snapping just from his cold words. The silence was preposterous yet it kept her in a safe haven, able to run away from her problems just like now.

Taking a few more deep breaths and finally getting up off the dirty floor. She needed something to occupy her mind with, scrolling through her phone just to look at good memories.

She needed to wind down, Wanting to just drop out of school and cut off anyone she thought she knew well. She needed to breathe in this already suffocating air. The man on the other side probably long gone and out the door.

She was right, his figure not on the couch any longer than it should be. She wiped her face before stepping out. Going into the kitchen and grabbing a tub of ice cream before heading back into her confined space.

"Princesa." She cursed under her breath. Hearing his soft genuine sweet voice call her by her nickname. The real question was why was he still here. Turning around to be met with dead eyes. It was funny. They'd been together for a year, yet he looks at her the same way he looked at others.

She simply ignored him. Grabbing a spoon from a drawer and trying to push past the firm man.

"quítate de mi camino Miles." He didn't budge, doing the complete opposite infact. Blocking the exit with his body, She threatened to climb over the table if he didn't.

"Necesitamos hablar mami." He simply just tilted his head, A serious look plastered on his face.

"Oh now you wanna talk, ain't your job more important than me?" She got him right there. Miles eyes avoiding her's before looking back up, his chest withhelding big sigh. He wasn't gonna lie because he knew it was. She wasn't in his shoes. She wasn't constantly having to kill people for money.

No. He wanted her to sit still and be the most cherishing thing he had left besides his madre and his uncle. He was in a stressful predicament. How the hell was he supposed to tell his future wife that he was 'The Prowler'?

Miles was stomped, Looking the love of his life in her eyes before wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close. The look of confusion on her face as he told her.

Miles watched as she rubbed her temples, her eyes narrowing down to nothing but disappointment. It all made sense now. Why she'd wake up to an empty bed in the middle of the night. The window sometimes left open on countless nights.

He'd even shown her the exact suit he'd killed in, leading her to a small hidden room she didn't even know they had in the first place. She poked her head in which Miles found a bit cute, Taking it out and putting it on like it was nothing but clothing.

You let out a deep sigh before saying what was on your own mind.

"Miles I don't give a shit that you're The Prowler. I just wanted you to tell me." A sigh of relief left Mile's throat. Apologizing to his chica before pulling her into a tight hug and kissing her soft plump lips.

"I'm sorry for not tellin' you sooner Hermosa."

- You teased him for being uptight at first, but you quickly understood that you'd bitten off more than you could chew (you'll still occasionally do it)

- Loves to punish you for your bad language if you two are alone. Sometimes, you cuss deliberately around him due to this.

- Also prefers refined speech and manners. At first, your cussing greatly bothered him

- Frequently lectured you/told you to watch your mouth initially, and got even more annoyed when you completely ignored him

taekooker to jikooker: my personal experience.

this is merely how i felt and all the things i saw while being a hardcore taekooker for almost a year and a half. if you get offended, im sorry but the unfollow and block button is right there, i dont mind. i love taekook themselves, but i can no longer look at them in the way i used to. now they genuinely look like best friends to me. people change, and their perceptions and views on different aspects of life change. thats what happened to me.

I first joined this fandom 5 years ago in mid january 2018 through my friends. taehyung was my first ever bias, so most of the bts related yt recs i had were mostly of taehyung and ot7, and occasional ship videos among which taekook was the most prominent. me being a curious lil unsuspecting lamb, clicked on one, it also helped that my friends were taekookers as well so i dived pretty deep into the rabbit hole of taekook. im gonna be writing my thoughts and experiences on shipping taekook at different times of the year. i dont remember every single detail clearly (like this was 5 years ago) so forgive me if i sound vague at times plus this will only be a summary. without further ado, lets start, shall we?

february-march, 2018

by this time, i already watched quite a few taekook analysis videos, i also came across a few tkk_lives' videos(i think i came across her vids like much later but i just included it here) as well as other deluded channels. i fell even deeper into the rabbit hole. i thought taekook were the epitome of boyfriends silly in love, i felt like they had the best chemistry and that they were the ones whose ship actually made sense. i feel so embarrassed to admit this but one of my rather major reasons for shipping them was how good they looked tgthr🤦‍♀️(im a changed person now i promise). now i realise many tkk analysis channels tend to heavily edit things to make it look like theres something going on, overanalysing things to no end, it made me see them as if they were closer than they actually are, and as if theyre hiding something, but it was really just heavy and clever editing that forces your mind to get convinced. it was quite literally manipulative. plus back then, i was rather immature and hadnt even been in a rltnshp yet, so i blindly believed whatever they said. i believed every narrative and every theory they put out even if i knew lots of them didnt even make sense. they constantly also put out the jealous jungkook/taehyung whenever the other breathes next to another member..as i now realise, thats one of the biggest toxic traits a person can have. they were always pushing tkk as a toxic relationship without even knowing it(or just ignoring it). i also do not like jikook analysis vids where they are portrayed as the same territorial mfs who cant stand the other interacting with anyone else but himself. bc thats literally pushing their relationship as a toxic one and making them look toxic, and i would rather not do that.

march/april-september, 2018

i only watched taekook vids and funny bts moments for a long while as a baby army. i didnt watch official content very much, i ddint even know how to watch official content..i didnt know bangtantv existed yet💀 this tkk analysis watching continued for around 4 or so months after i became an army before i took an unintentional break from them(analysis vids) and i went on twitter. twitter, was so much worse(as i now realise). i didnt have an account at that time and learnt to browse on twt without one(it doesnt really let you do that anymore). at first, i found nothing weird or unusual and i enjoyed lurking on twitter, but slowly i started to see the ugly side of the community. i found multiple accounts directly or indirectly hating on jimin. i was weirded out. very weirded out. i was quite conflicted but..i only thought of it as jimin haters who were coincidentally tkkrs, maybe i refused to see tkk shippers in a bad light? probably, unfortunately i cant remember much and as i said, i was immature.

october-december, 2018

i stumbled across gcf in tokyo somewhere in october, i think it was in a fanwar on twitter and a jkkr said "at least we have this" or sumn along that line and put a link to gcft . idek how i didnt see it earlier. immediately after watching it, i felt..weird, conflicted, insecure. insecure about my ship. it seemed so romantic to me even then. but ofc i didnt let myself give up immediately, and i searched interviews + info about it, i found tkkrs saying vminkook were supposed to go tgthr and jikook only went bc they had a few days off and tae didnt. that gave me a lil bit of security and i held onto that thread of security and refused to believe or even hear out the actual fact(which i will come to later). as you can see, i was a stubborn mf. inside i knew that even if tae not having time off was the "only" reason behind jikook's japan trip, it was still unusual and suspicious to go on a trip with only your "bro" when said "bro" has told you and the world multiple times that they wanna go on a trip alone with you, when the hotel room you're staying at with your "bro" has a see-through glass wall for the bathroom and when you make a whole love confession in the guise of a travel log for your "bro" while your boyfie is waiting for you at home.

in conclusion, i was very insecure.

did i give up? no, not yet. we're getting there.

so as a masochist and out of curiosity caused by insecurity, i searched up jikook videos on yt, thinking "there's no way they could ever have more chemistry than taekook 🙄" - when i tell you i was wrong as fuck, i mean it. i was HUMBLED. the chemistry and tension between jungkook and jimin was undeniable. i felt uncomfortable watching some certain moments, felt things that i didnt feel while shipping taekook, saw things i didnt see in taekook.

i was confused plus the sinking feeling you get when you've been too loud about what you think and your opinions but then it turns out you were a stupid ass bitch.

there was a plethora of jikook vids, and i think my first jikook video was from Made in Busan, ig it was the "serendipity" analysis? back then it made lots of sense to me, but now it looks slightly overanalyzed (i still believe "serendipity" is very much connected to jikook tho). i slowly got more introduced to jikook in general. this mainly occured in like the first week of october and december as i had my boards in november.

december/january-february, 2019

so its been more or less of a year since ive become a tkkr, gcft is still in the back of my head screaming at me. and then jikook drop another bomb. that is, 2018 MMA.

this..was just, just..i cant explain it in words. jungkook had every bit of his attention directed towards jimin, they were giving each other loving glances, jimin giving jungkook a flying kiss, jungkook giving jimin a finger heart, jungkook subconsciously massaging jimins nape..it was just so domestic and coupley. i've never third wheeled so bad in my life. i felt like i was interrupting something by watching them. imagine how hyunjae next to them felt😔✊not to mention how it very much looked like jungkook was saying "남편"[ nampyeon] meaning "husband" and "형의 남친"[ hyung-ui namchin ] meaning " hyung's boyfriend" in their conversation after jimin pointed to himself and jungkook (forgive me if the spellings/romanizations are not accurate enough, im not fully fluent in korean). plus, after jungkook said it, jimin smiles and shyly looks down..LIKE??

i was bamboozled. i was shocked. i was frustrated. i was feeling stupid. i was begging for taekook to drop something mindblowing or sumn that would regain my secuity in the ship and i found some moments during other award shows but, it didnt feel the same. to me it was really looking like taekook had boundaries and limits between each other, the limits that apply when you're good friends. but with jikook, i couldnt see how their gazes towards each other could be passed off as anything platonic, how their actions+body language could ever be seen as platonic.

so what did i do? did i give up? oh hell no im stubborn as fuck. but we're getting there.

i ignored every jikook moment and brought my focus back on taekook, i started watching analysis and moments again. in a span of a few weeks, the security around my ship had improved after pretending that i didnt feel like a stupid mf after MMA 2018. haha. it sorta worked lol. sorta.

march-may, 2019

these were my last months as a taekooker.

after all that shit, all i wanted was more taekook moments to make me feel better about myself. and i did get quite a few. however, as i said before, they looked like they had boundaries. i couldnt look at them exactly the same.

i was busy in april with my class tests, i doubt i had much time to catch up with the boys. so when the tests ended, it was most likely in the last week of april or the first few days of may.

we all know what happened in the first few days of may, don't we? in case you don't, this is what happened.

surprisingly, i clearly remember the first time i got to know about it.

it was in class, i just arrived and then one of my friends and i start talking and she goes [this convo is all translated from bengali]

"hey did you see what jungkook did at the latest concert?"

"no, i didn’t, what did he do?"

"he went and literally sucked on jimins ear!"

i was shocked once again, my eyes went wide, my heart did a backflip..all that shit. i didnt believe it at first.

"don't joke around like that, you're being absurd" i said.

"im not kidding bro, he sucked jimins ear in the rosebowl concert last week, ill send you a link too"

when i got back home, sure enough, the link was there and i saw jungkooks ear nibbling in all its glory, albeit a bit low quality. but no doubt he took that ear into his mouth and i knew it.

surely i must've given up now? no, but im this🤏 close we're almost there i promise

i went online and found lots of tkkrs denying that jungkook ever took jimin's ear into his mouth and that jimin's ear only got caught on jk's chin. but..if it got caught on jk's chin then that means his chin was behind jimin's ear, and his lips must have been at least kissing jimin's ear, given that we couldnt see them very well. the lip we could see was the upper lip, which again lead me to be believe that jungkook did indeed, suck jimin's ear.

yeah, my faith in tkk was crumbling into millions of pieces. because i couldnt see how jungkook, being in a supposed relationship with taehyung, could do that with tae's best friend. i sure as hell wouldnt let my partner get away with that, nor would i ever do that myself with someone else other than my partner. even if its to comfort them. it just goes way over platonic boundaries.

i was seriously considering shifting over to jikook by now. but before that, i searched lots of shit up abt jikook.

there i saw an interview where jimin talked about the tokyo trip with jungkook. what i believed until now was that vminkook were supposed to go tgthr but jikook were the ones with time off, and tae didnt have time off. jimin said he told taehyung and jungkook that he wants to go on a trip to Japan. he didnt say he wanted to go on a trip WITH taehyung and jungkook. yall, ive told my wishes to go to japan and turkey multiple times to my friends, does that mean im taking their asses with me? no. mind you, jimin has said he wanted to go on a trip alone with jungkook multiple times in their rookie era. on jimin's bday of 2017, jungkook tweeted a pic of him(jimin) with the caption "Its not over yet.." and shortly after, we find out jikook went on a tokyo trip by THEMSELVES with no staff, no managers and no other members. dropped off at the airport by jungkook's dad and brother and jimin's dad. jungkook paid for everything and put a hell lot of time into making the masterpiece that is gcf in tokyo WITH a bgm of a gay fucking song by a queer fucking artist and showed the fucking rainbow colored ferris wheel at the line "love is a road that goes both ways".

you can deny the trip being only for jikook, but you can not deny the symbolism and significance shown in gcf in tokyo. saying "jungkook didnt understand the song, hes not fluent in english" - is so small minded and belittling.

saying he didnt show jimin on the parts "boy, im holding onto something, wont let go of you for nothing, im running, running just to keep my hands on you" on purpose is not only straight up denial but also understimating jungkook's intelligence and artistic capabilities, saying that jungkook isnt smart enough to get the meaning behind these words. and just because hes korean. thats fucking racist if you ask me.

then i discovered the iconic osaka vlives, i was convinced. it was my last straw along with rosebowl.

alas, after around a week of denial, i gave up and became a jikooker in mid may of 2019. ive never looked back. over the years they've only given us more and more evidence and i doubt my beliefs will ever change soon.

i hope this was kinda fun to read, i had been planning to do this for a long time. im glad i finally got to say my thoughts out here. thank you for taking the time to read this<3

- you excuse yourself from the group, all gloomy, and your friends notice. they make a mental note to apologize later.

- you're walking in the semi-empty hallways of itachiyama, about to enter your next class, when you bump into sakusa.

- he turns around harshly, about to scold whoever touched him, until he sees that it's just you. your expression was unsettling to sakusa because you were usually very cheerful and smiley.

- "what's wrong, y/n?" he asks.

- "should we, uhm.." you start, "break up?" your voice came out tiny, feeling meek.

- "wait, what?" you've never heard sakusa's tone so caught off guard before. he sounds genuinely confused.

- "aren't i bothering you?" you look up at him, "i've always wanted to hold your hand, hug you, kiss you even, but i don't think that you'll allow me, so i try to get your attention in other ways. i must be so annoying.."

- sakusa didn't expect this, but he definitely knew that this conversation would come up one day.

- he next does the unexpected. he pulls his mask down and gives you a kiss.

- quietly, sakusa has been jealous. he sees the way that you cling onto your friends, always giving them your loving hugs. his pride just.. didn't allow him to say anything.

- when he pulls away, he sees your face, shocked from what just happened. he can tell that you're hopelessly trying to process it all. he finds it cute.

- "i don't want to break up." he states factually. "i can't stand imagining you with another boy who'll get all of your love and affection. call me selfish, but i really like you."

- "and who said that you couldn't touch me? you're my girlfriend. do i have to remind you that once we get married in the future, we're gonna have to kiss—?" "o- okay, that's enough!"

- this was an unforgettable memory of yours, so much so that you shared it with sakusa's family, who are now known as your in-laws.

English isn't my first language and I know pretty much no insult in english, but in spanich a know like a million and I can just invent some 20 more 💀 is pretty funny

Anzu Hoshino

Anzu is just pretty chill with everything so even when you two are dating you can easily get mistaken for just best friends, but she doesn't really give importance to what others think, if she is happy and you too then she doesn't see any problem

About being foreign she doesn't see a problem either, it could even be that if it isn't physicaly obvious neither with your accent then will take her a while to notice it or that anyone say it to her (she will be embarrased in that case)

She doesn't pry on your private live, so aside from asking small things from time to time she doesn't pry on how your contry or culture is, although if you are the one who directly tell her or hear you talking about it with someone else she will be happy to hear you rant about it and even get really curious

She defenitly is surprised and amased the first time she hears you talking in your mother language, since is your first language you do it so naturaly and so fluid that she can't help but want to hear more, wondering what you are saying. Although it would take her a while to get used to hear you talk in that language, you surprise her almost everytime you start talking with it

She gets worried for you whenever she sees you upset or mad (when she actually notice it since she can easily get distracted), again, she won't pry but she want you to know that if you need help with anything you can ask her, even if you just want to complain about what happened is alright for her. She doesn't try to calm you down either, as long as you don't get violent with anyone or with yourself you can express all you want

She is already surprised whenever you speak in your mother language, but the moment you start talking in it angrily she is even more shocked, even a little worried, it take her a moment to comprehend what is happening, but when she does she find it pretty funny, she start laughing but not as making fun of you

Even when she doesn't undestand what are you saying she cheer you to continue, not matter if the two of you are alone or you are saying it towards the person who make you mad, she still cheer you (having someone really mad screaming things that you don't understand could be pretty intimidating)

Later on she will ask you what it means what you said just now ago, truly curious, and thanks to that experience she ask you if you could teach her different words or expresions in your language (doesn't have to be just insults) and she will teach you different insult in english if you ask her

Junta Hayami

Junta is kinda shy some times and being in a relasionship with you already flustered him, so you being foreign make him a little more flustered (specially at the start of your relasionship)

It isn't like he thinks low of himself but he doesn't think that he is a big deal neither, so you being foreign is something that get stuck in his mind, like he doesn't fully understand what he has done to even catch your attention (specially for how he used to be ignored and bothered for almost everyone except for Anzu)

He doesn't want to pry but he tent to ask you a lot of your country and the culture (at first with the excuse of worring if you feel homesick of if it isn't too difficult to adapt), but he is genuinely interested

Hearing you talk in your mother language will always flustered him, he doesn't know why but something about you talking so fluid and naturaly in that languaje just make him skip a beat, specially the first time he hears you, at first he was confused but that quickly becomes amusment and admiration

He may not be the best at reading people but he pay a lot of attention to you since he cares for you, he want to be able to help you whenever you need it, so when he notice that you are angry he inmediatly reach your side and ask you what's wrong, he wants to help you calm down specially if whatever made you mad is still there (either a person or a situation)

If ranting and complaining about what made you mad helps you calm down then he will be there to hear all you have to say (but a little nervious though), however he gets shocked when you start talking in your first language, and since you still seem pretty angry he can tell that whatever you are saying isn't kind words

As much as he is confused and nervous for not really knowing what are you saying he doesn't stop you, also when you finally calm down and start talking in english again he just ask you if you feel better and if you need something, he is really curious about what you had say but is too nervous to ask (and if you tell him that you were saying a lot of insults and maybe even threats he will be even more nervious)

After a while he just get used to this, and even so it always make him nervous, but he will never stop you. If someone ever sees/hears you talking like that and ask him about it he won't be able to repeat or completly explain what you were saying, he just manage to shyly explain that you were very mad for something

Tsukasa Kazuki

Tsukasa is a pretty chill and mature person, and that will be expressed is his relasionship too, however for the bad experiences he had in the past when he start a relasionship with someone that person has to be of his fully trust, someone he knows he can rely on and be vulnerable with, just like you can do it with him

Also, for him you being foreign isn't an issue nor something too special, he will never make a big deal out of it, although if is something important to you he will respect it

He isn't someone who pry so he won't be asking you a lot of things about it, unless is something really small and is related to whatever you were doing/saying, although if you want to talk about it he won't stop you from do so. But as you two start a relasionship he grows a little more interesed and from time to time he ask you more or something more specific, but will never pry to much or force you to talk about it

Also, whenever you talk in your first language he doesn't seem like it but he pays close attention to what are you saying, he may don't understand but he enjoys hearing you talking like that

For the traumatic experience he had a while ago he end up learning to be a little more wary of his surroundings, specially with the people so he will learn to read your body language (even if is unconsciously) and he is the type to offer you his help either direct or indirectly

Whenever he sees you getting mad he worries and just step closet to you while trying to find out what bothered you, although if you tent to be loud with your anger it would startle him a little. In either case he will never expect to hear you talking in your mother language while being angry, he is shocked and dounfounded, but he doesn't stop you, the first time is because he is too confused but the next times he just let you be, and still he is paying close attention in case he has to stop you before you get more aggresive

He doesn't ask you about it and don't even say anything, for your expresions and the tone of your voice he can tell that you were angry, he just asks you if you are better now once you are calm

After a while he will just get used to it and will even end up learning some of the words you say without even trying, he isn't planning to use them (unless is with you and in a joking manner) he just reconize them whenever you are complaining and may even start count how many times you say it (just to kill time). And if you apologize to him for talking like that or are embarrased of it he will find it pretty funny

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint Thoughts, Chapters 101-150

The establishment of Yoo Joonghyuk’s belief in his companions (41st regression Shin Yoosung) and difficulty ignoring the past rounds. Yoo Joonghyuk feels tired as a character, and I think questioning whether he will actually improve if he regresses enough connects with going through the motions and giving up too soon. 

It’s also shown how quickly he trusts those he shouldn’t - Lee Seolhwa and Disaster Shin Yoosung - due to his past regressions. He isn’t seeing things as they are now, which almost killed him, and regression isn’t always useful.

The way ORV has set up the invasion of privacy - selling one’s story like how Lee Sookyung sold her/Kim Dokja’s story - as almost an act of violence or a betrayal. I think it was a brilliant decision to reveal this part right before the Peace Land arc, especially how we see the desperation of the constellation from a small planet as not only desperation but being rebuked by Kim Dokja for the monetization of people’s lives, if only for 10 coins. It also ties in to how Asuka Ren’s story was used as an act of violence itself, going directly against her own ideas of Peace Land.

Speaking of…The Peace Land arc!!! Kyrgios Rodgaim is a fascinating character that I want to study under a microscope, but ORV managed to really show how ordinary people & victims become the victimizers. A lot of drama revolving around “having to make a hard decision” usually involves someone important to the person making the decision, but the people of Peace Land are complete strangers! They’re literally small and insignificant, and it would be pitifully easy to defeat them. The constellation from a small planet themself can only donate a measly 10 coins compared to the 200,000 coin compensation for [Main Scenario #6 - Abandoned World]. They have no emotional connection to the main characters. There isn’t a character or plotline highlighted to show their humanity: it’s just immediately assumed. 

It would be so easy for a lesser story to show the main character’s brutality or self-righteousness when they first appear, but Kim Dokja’s narration focuses on the people of Peace Land themselves. Chapter 121 focuses on the lives of the people of Peace Land and the brutality of the Japanese incarnations almost equally, and we see how a small person managing to inflict the smallest wound on one of the Japanese incarnations brings hope, only to be crushed by the dokkaebi Ganul almost immediately. And it’s not just Ganul being a villain - the constellations themselves are enjoying and encouraging the bloodshed. Ganul is simply giving them a story they want, similarly to how Paul forcibly turned the 41st regression Shin Yoosung “evil” to continue the scenario.

I do appreciate the instant willingness to kill a colonizer, btw. Zero justification needed; it very much felt like a “while we’re on the way to kill the snake” type thing, and I think we need more of that. I don’t even agree with punitive justice, but some stories are way to comfortable focusing on oppressors over the oppressed, and I respect ORV for not fucking with that

Han Sooyoung practically getting stereotypically isekaied to Peace Land via getting hit by a bus & Gong Pildu falling into a river. Convenient? Yes, probably. Funny? Most definitely.

Kim Dokja genuinely apologizing to Gong Pildu. It’s a small thing, but I’m personally just not a fan of stories that almost seem to justify treating certain people like shit just because they’re ALSO terrible people (which. I mean. ORV isn’t free of this sin so far, but it isn’t as bad as other similar action/genre stories I’ve read 💀 & I think it actually feeds into Kim Dokja’s characterization)

Aughhh…. The way Kim Dokja being the strongest incarnation isn’t even a consideration for the rest of the cast despite being the truth… him going to Han Sooyoung of all people to kill him…

Nirvana in general was a pretty interesting character that I want to know more about, especially with the way they were compared with Kim Dokja. I think so far the swallowing of Nirvana, albeit abrupt, makes sense narratively with Kim Dokja’s own suicidal self-loathing regarding himself, but I do want to see more of Nirvana as a symbol of Kim  Dokja’s own desire to live within his desire to die. Getting real sick of Kim Dokja killing off people who remind him of himself- I’m trying to learn about you, boy /joking

Dislikes

Rebirthing the 41st regression Shin Yoosung as a dokkaebi. 

I know others have brought it up, but I hated the way Jung Heewon being forced to relive her trauma was framed almost solely as a method of “awakening” Lee Hyunsung. Lee Hyunsung’s awakening itself was very interesting and compelling by itself - the line about reaching another heart originally being difficult (Chapter 139) & Kim Dokja offering to carry part of LHS’s burden - but it was undercut by the complete lack of agency or emotional connection with Jung Heewon. He didn’t reach her “heart” as much as just give her a hug under extremely non-optimal conditions 

The weird Iris (from Russia) hate with no explanation… I don’t think it’s necessarily out-of-character, but why… let her be a brat… what does KDJ have against mean children…

So I mentioned to a couple people earlier, I hear about people claiming they're doing fanservice or they're fake or whatever, and you know what I actually think it is?

You know how if you're out with friends or at a party or something, you sometimes will tell a funny story about something that happened to you that is hyperexaggerated for humorous effect but also fundamentally true? An example this is like, recently I bought a beautiful artificial Christmas tree and it didn't fit in my condo because I didn't measure the width of the tree. The bland "true" version of this story is that I bought a tree and it was too big, so I had to return it. But in regaling this story to my friends, I woefully convey my hubris in not measuring because I wanted a grand tree and then tearfully equate my suffering to that of tragic Greek heroes because the freaking tree wouldn't fit and my woeful childhood of being deprived of having a beautiful Christmas tree despite being a Christmas baby. It's not that the second version is fake -- in fact, it's actually much closer to the reality I experienced. And in particular, it's meant to be funny. Am I actually a Greek tragic hero? Well. I'm Chinese. 😏

I think Mile and Apo, separately and together, have a particular type of charm where they're both good at making us, their fans, feel like we're in on the joke when they tell these kinds of stories like we're one of their friends. I know I tease Mile for his Cringe Dad Jokes, but if you actually watch stand up, most of it is comedians both thoughtfully reflecting upon a true situation and conveying the humor in what happened to them. MileApo aren't comedians, but they are charming and funny. And this format of storytelling is the basis of humor.

I would say a majority of the people in fandom, especially these kinds of antis, are of an age group that missed out on a specific type of socialization in the last three years. They just don't have a baseline for that kind of interaction, so they think that the exaggeration or format of the way Mile and Apo talk specifically about each other is "fake" because um... lack of normal socialization.

I mean, they've both told similarly weird stories about themselves. We can't call Apo's story about being gross and sweaty because his car AC was broken or Mile's story about having to pee so bad in while stuck traffic fan service because what the hell kind of fan service is that. 💀 And if those aren't fan service, why would Apo's story about Mile's obsession with green be any more fan service when told with the same level of weird humor?

And the fact he retells the story with such consistency, now to the level of detail as the "what color boxers are you wearing" question it can't be fake. (also: still dead over Apo's lack of filter on that one. oop)

I'm not excusing the people accusing them of fakeness. Like I said, I don't care what you think or believe or have anxiety about 'cause I'm not your therapist; just don't make it my or society's problem.

But I think the answer here is uh, COVID really messed up some people's social skills, and instead of going out and trying to regain some of them, people think being mean on the internet and bullying people is the right answer. It's not. It's also not your job to worry or teach them how to socialize. Block 👍

ok i’ve mentioned this guy before, but let’s call him X for this storyline 😭

so, me and X have known each other since we were 11, we went to the same secondary school and ended up going to the same college. we weren’t close in secondary school, he was just a classmate and a mutual friend and that was it really.

going round to september 2020 when college started, that’s when we found out that we went to the same college and a lot of our mutual friends also joined us there so that’s when we started getting close along with our other friends.

it all started with a game of among us and then a server on discord where we used to play and talk everyday 😭 it was really fun and i guess that stemmed my liking towards him?

he was so nice and funny and he’d always be nicer to me compared to everyone else in our friend group and that just threw me totally off-guard.

in college when we’d meet up before/after our classes, we’d be with the rest of our friends just chilling and stuff or we’d be walking home together talking about the most random things (mostly aot).

now now, everyone in our friend group knew that i used to write smut and ffs and stuff so they’d always tease me about it, but he in particular would ask me questions like “how do you come up with this stuff?” “are you even into any of the things you write?” and i’m guessing he used that against me later on, you’ll see.

i think around December 2020 was when i became absolutely certain that i had a crush on him and IT WAS KILLING MEEE and it was the night of my birthday, i was talking to my close friends and i told them i was gonna confess just to get it off my chest and they were very onboard and supportive about it, so i messaged him.

surprisingly, he was very nice and normal about it which was weird because he’s the most unemotional person in the world 😭 but yeah, he said he appreciates it but he wasn’t looking for a relationship or anything and he’s more focused on his studies and i reassured him like “oh, i’m not looking for a relationship either, i’m just telling you to get it out of the way.”

of course i ignored it and didn’t say anything because i HATE confrontation so i just left it.

X was close with my friend L, so she asked him why he was being so rude and distant to me and he goes “i didn’t want jahanara liking me because i knew she would end up hurt, so i made it seem like i’m a dickhead,” AND HE THOUGHT IT WAS SUCH A GOOD IDEA 💀💀💀 it was not.

around february 2021, i was getting very very excited for the grammys because i thought bts would win and so i put a poll on my snapchat story that said ‘if bts win a grammy, i will _____’

that gained a lot of traction and people were sending crazy suggestions and one of my close friends was like “you should masturbate” AND I WAS LIKE GIRL???? ARE YOU FR???

and she was dead serious SO AS A JOKE, i added that onto the poll and everyone voted for that option because everyone saw me as the overtly horny virgin for bts that has never touched herself before because she’s scared 😭😭

we said goodnight to each other and ended the call and the next day he sends a message on the groupchat and he goes “how was it, jahanara?” and i didn’t know what to say so i just went “yep, good. very good.” like we were playing this 'lets keep this between ourselves'.

i fully thought he liked me back after that night 😭 bro i was so blind 💀

i ended up telling my best friend because she has no other friends fr she’s my ride or die, so i just told her and the keeping it a secret thing didn’t last because one of X’s friends messaged me asking about it and i was like ….. how do you know?

turned out, X told his friend about it WHICH IMMEDIATELY GOT ME THINKING, OH NO WHAT IF HE SHOWED THE PICS I SENT??? so i messaged him asking him to delete them and he did, with proof, thank god .

everyone ended up finding out about what happened that night so everytime it was mentioned, it was just so awkward between us.

this all happened during the december-march 2021 lockdown we had and the lockdown ended on the 17th so i saw him that day it was so awkward being around him after that, i just knew things would never be the same.

i’d say around may, he started gaining an interest in one of my friends (a very close online friend) let’s call her D after i posted a photo of her on my story.

he kept asking questions about whether she had a boyfriend and stuff and me being me, completely impartial, i told him no, she doesn’t have a boyfriend, and then he wanted to add her on snap so i gave it to him.

i checked in with my friend D and she said she was fine being added by him and she had absolutely no interest in him the way he did AND she knew i liked him so she was never going to pursue anything anyway.

she added him back and X was trying to flirt with her and D thought it was the most embarrassing thing ever trying so hard to win her over.

he spent a good couple weeks chatting her up and begging for photos (nudes, duh) and she didn’t give them so he kind stopped with all the messages.

i knew everything because D was telling me what he was doing and i thought… God wtf? is this who i really like?

a lot of our friends found out about it and confronted him going “why would you go after jahanara’s friend begging for nudes when you know she still likes you?” and he got so much shit for it he took it out on me, again, being rude and making insensitive comments about everything and from there everything just fizzled.

i removed him everywhere, snapchat, instagram, his number, discord etc etc and he did the same apparently i couldn’t care less.

he became this guy that was so hard to talk to without getting attacked for no reason and he started spewing all this shit about what happened on grammys night, and just talking so much bs but me being me, i didn’t say anything about it or confront him about it so i just left it and let everyone else say what they wanted.

throughout 2021/22 everything died down, the groupchat became less active, people were talking a lot less, X was still bitching around me and being rude but whatever. everyone started uni so the groupchat actually died out so now interactions are very scarce.

this whole story pretty much stemmed my dislike towards males and relationships and sexual encounters. i haven’t even ATTEMPTED to be intimiate with myself since march 2020 because i’m always gonna be reminded of him and what he did, telling all his mates about it and what-not.

can’t even bring myself to wear the same pyjamas i wore that night because it makes me feel icky ☹️

Final thoughts on season 3,

Spoilers ahead but here is my rating of the season, spoiler free

7.5/10. I actually liked it a lot. A few things bothered me but overall a good season with mostly good cast development

Well Despite me thinking the kahlopatra breakup was going to be horrific, it was deserved. I actually really like Cleo AND Frida's development. And they are obviously getting bsck together. I mean cmon "i know enough people" hand hold. They're so back 😭.

And Confuscious/Joan is genuinely super sweet. Their kiss in the bus. I felt real chemistry. And joanfk fans don't stone me, but it's on par to me with Joan and JFK's moment in the og season. Speakinh of JFK, I'm enjoying his struggle with who he is. Sure it's kinda fuckin silly but him wanting more than just being a piece of ass is funny and engaging.

Now. Here are my less positives: I liked the bleacher creatures but they got zero to no development, which i can overlook since introduction season. However, I think Joan throwing them under the bus is fucked up. Like man, I get it they're outcasts but they did have your back while everyone else left you in the damn dust cmon now.

I don't like them just kinda, ignoring Topher's previous crush on Joan and him being sexist? Like, i know Topher got a grand total of like, four lines 💀 but it felt lazy.

Abe was a pain in the ass, still self centered and still only worried about getting his ween wet. Though, his friendship with JFK is nice, but it's still very. Weird. JFK did fuckup in that friend context too, but in his case he's self discovering and Abe just wants him to do what Abe wants for his own sake. I know he comes around by the end but i still dislike it, generally.

The whole Mary and Abe and Joan conflict. BOOOOOO. Listen, I am not the biggest Joan fan, I like her enough, but Joan was right. In that entire context. Also pushing Joan/Abe. BOOOOO. like seriously bro, she saved your sad pathetic life and i wish she hadn't because if you're stupid enough to know if you fuck Mary, you die, and still want it. Then just give the man what he fuckin wants.

I had a love/hate with Scudworth's backstory. I also wasn't razzed at how Joan was hated for the first half, It felt excessive i guess?

Even though I bitched, a lot. I still actually love the season. It had strong ass moments that made up for stuff that is kinda always in clone high. Like joan/abe has been like this since the dawn of time, Abe has always been an annoying bastard.

But they developed the cast. Especially Cleo and Frida. I genuinely love both their development. As well as Confucius! Harriet had a bit of a mixed bag. Also the stuff with the guys name I can't spell was fuckin stupid. But her and Joan acknowledging their faults and still being friends? I mean that's nice. It is.

So those are my thoughts on Clone High season 3. It was good. Maybe not what everyone wanted but hell I liked it.
