Dating Yandere Zuko Would Include:
Tumblr media
As a yandere, he'd be possessive, obsessive, and jealous. He'd go to extreme lengths to win your affection and keep it, and would try his best to eliminate any threats to his relationship with you. He'd also have unpredictable mood swings and wouldn't hesitate to use violence to get what he wants.
He'd be paranoid and insecure, constantly doubting your loyalty and intentions. He'd have trouble trusting you and would likely resort to controlling behaviors to ensure your loyalty. He'd also likely become obsessed with you and would want to know everything about you and spend every second he could with you.
He'd be obsessive about you, wanting to constantly keep tabs on your whereabouts and activities. He'd also be possessive of your attention and wouldn't like seeing you giving it to someone else. At the same time, he'd expect you to cater to his every need and desire, placing excessive demands on you. He'd also have intense feelings of jealousy whenever someone else shows interest in you, even if there's no valid reason to feel threatened.
Besides being obsessive and possessive, he'd also be prone to fits of irrational anger, often over petty or imagined slights. In a fit of rage, he could become aggressive and abusive, verbally or even physically hurting you. He'd also be controlling and manipulative, trying to manipulate circumstances to his advantage and ensure that you remain dependent on him. If he felt you were trying to leave him, he might even resort to extreme or sinister measures to keep you from abandoning him.
Another trait of a yandere is extreme devotion. He'd be completely devoted to you and wouldn't want or need anyone else. He'd also be clingy and codependent, wanting to be with you all the time and being unable to function properly without you. He'd probably have abandonment issues, too, being terrified of losing you and clinging on for dear life.
Apart from the characteristics I've already mentioned, as a yandere, he would be highly emotionally unstable, switching between moods quickly and unpredictably. He might also be volatile and unpredictable, often being cold and distant one moment and overly clinging the next. He'd become overly reliant on you, wanting to spend every waking moment with you and being devastated when you're away from him. His emotional state would be extremely fragile, making him prone to outbursts of intense anger and jealousy if you so much as glance at another person.
He'd have a warped view of love and relationships, viewing you as belonging to him and vice versa. Any threat to your exclusivity could trigger a violent reaction. It'd become his duty to ensure that the one he love belongs to him alone, and the thought of losing you would drive him insane. As mentioned before, this possessiveness and obsession can turn abusive, and the thought of you being with another person would trigger fits of irrational rage. To an unhealthy extent, your bond would become central to his identity and reason for existing.
If you were a certain type of bender, it would add an additional layer of intensity to his possessive and obsessive personality traits. The fact that you could bend a particular element that he could not would trigger his inferiority complex, making him more paranoid and jealous. He would be constantly worried about you using your bending abilities to escape him or attract someone else, which could fuel his violent and abusive side. He would be overly cautious and restrictive towards your usage of your bending, perhaps even threatening you for even trying to use it when he wasn't around.
Affection would be another key feature of his yandere personality. It'd manifest as hyper fixation on you, to the point where his life would revolve around you. He'd be obsessive, possessive, controlling, and jealous when it comes to you, but would also be overly affectionate in an unhealthy and obsessive way. He would be overly doting and attached, showering you with attention and love, wanting you only to be his. He would be clingy and overly emotional, displaying a deep attachment and dependence upon you.
Dates would be another outlet for his to express his obsessive affection for you. He would insist on taking you out for dates as often as possible. It would be his chance to show the world that you're his partner and his alone, no one else's. It would also be an opportunity to show you that his love and devotion are endless. If you were to refuse his dates, he could potentially get angry and aggressive, so these dates would become one of the avenues for his obsessive and controlling nature to express itself.
His father and sister would be the central sources of his mental instability. His father's lack of emotional care and support for him throughout the years would contribute to a void inside him that he'd fill with possessive and obsessive feelings directed towards you. His insane sister, on the other hand, would feed his deep sense of insecurity and inferiority complexes, seeing as she's the golden child of the family and a fierce combatant. She'd constantly flaunt her skills and superiority, which would constantly make him afraid of being replaced and further fuel his already strong possessiveness towards you.
He'd come from a dysfunctional family background that contributed to his mental instabilities. His familial relationships would likely be strained due to his certain personality traits, with his family being concerned about them and trying to curb them while he was growing up. Iroh disapproved of his obsession with you and tried to convince him to stop. If he were to exhibit violence and aggression in front of his uncle, he'd be shocked and horrified at the lengths Zuko goes to keep you his. While he'd try his best to help, it'd only serve to fuel Zuko's obsessive tendencies.
He'd be prone to obsessive daydreaming about scenarios involving you and him. These daydreams would feed his possessive and obsessive tendencies and would make him develop unrealistic expectations about your relationship that could eventually lead him to become frustrated when reality diverged too greatly from these fantasies. They would act as a fuel for his hyper fixation on you, further leading him down a path of unhealthy obsessions and tendencies.
He'd often be haunted by his own feelings of inadequacy and insecurity, which would push him to overcompensate by resorting to controlling and possessive acts towards you. He'd feel ashamed about his obsessive behavior, but the fear of losing you would keep him from wanting to change, only increasing the intensity of his obsession. His insecurities would also make him fearful of losing you to another, which would increase his sense of possessiveness and jealousy, making him lash out at any perceived threat to your relationship.
If you two were to get married, he'd be ecstatic and obsessive about your union. It would symbolize his complete control over you and would give him a sense of security and ownership, seeing as he would now be your husband. He'd be overly protective of you and your marriage, viewing it as his right to keep you all to himself. Any threat to your union or his position as your husband would trigger a violent and possessive reaction. He'd be clingy, demanding, and jealous, constantly wanting to know where you are and who you're with.
Children would represent a whole new aspect to your relationship, which would cause him to become even more obsessive. He would see them as an extension of himself and his ownership over you and would want them to grow up in a stable and controlled environment where he alone had full say in raising them. Any interference from outside forces would be treated as an attack on your family, thus triggering a fierce and protective reaction from him. He'd be overly protective of your children and would want to keep them sheltered and submissive under his sole authority.
If you didn't want or couldn't have children, it'd be a major source of tension and frustration for him. It would represent yet another area of his life that he could not fully control, potentially damaging his perception of your relationship and his role within it. He would not take kindly to the news and would likely try to find a way to overturn the decision, whether it was through convincing you to change your mind or searching for alternatives - such as adoption or surrogacy - which could still allow you to have children.
He would definitely not hesitate to use his fire bending skills on you if he felt it was necessary, or he was highly agitated or enraged. His fits of aggression and violence would not take kindly to any resistance or rebellion, so he'd have no qualms about using his fire bending as a means of intimidation, control, and punishment. His fire bending skills would serve as a powerful and persuasive threat, allowing him to manipulate and control you if you disobeyed or went against his wishes.
In a nutshell, as a yandere, he'd see you as his property and would try to control every aspect of your life, wanting to keep you entirely to himself. He'd keep you from seeing or talking to other people, would expect you to give him all your time and attention, and would get jealous and possessive if you were to interact with anyone else. The obsessive feelings would become all-encompassing and all-consuming, and he'd become irrational and volatile when triggered. He'd be capable of violence and abuse, resorting to drastic and dangerous measures to keep you his.
"You are mine. You will not be anyone else's. There is no one but me who deserves to have you. No one else deserves to love and admire you, to be able to bask in your presence, to be able to possess you. Your heart, body, and soul belong to me, and I will do whatever is necessary to keep it that way. You do not deserve to be loved by anyone else but me. You do not deserve to have anyone else hold you and cherish you, to hold your hand and to kiss your lips. Only I am deserving of such privileges."
Teasing and Denial - He loves the build-up of anticipation when he teases you and denies you satisfaction. He enjoys the feeling of desire and need that sets in as he waits to finally satisfy you. He loves the feeling of satisfaction that comes when he finally allows you both to release.
Bondage - He enjoys seeing you tied up or restrained in some form. He finds the sight of you being restrained liberating and exciting, and he loves letting loose and enjoying you however he sees fit.
Dominance and Submission - He enjoys being in control and taking the lead in any situation, but he also likes it when you take control of him and make him submit to you. He loves the power dynamic involved in this and the different ways it can be explored.
Blindfolds - He finds that blindfolds can add an element of mystery and uncertainty to any situation, and blindfolding you adds an extra layer of excitement. He loves seeing you being blindfolded unlocks new levels of vulnerability.
Body worship - He loves the feeling of being worshipped by his partner, with you focusing your attention on every inch of his body. He loves being adored and appreciated, and he enjoys the feeling of being the center of your world.

Your mother can have a great influence on your career and you can also look up to her or help you. Your home can become your work environment. Many times your career is connected to your parents and something that can be passed down in the family. You are involved with the public in career, professional, or social activities, and perhaps will not have much private life. The surroundings and people's rumors can quickly hurt you. A career involves a lot of emotions - it means that you are doing something that is emotionally very close to your heart.
🌱Mercury in 10th house- your career can be related to your expression through words (you can be a speaker, a teacher). Your words can have a huge impact on an audience. Many times you can discuss more serious topics and can be interested in life around the world or you can travel to countries just to see how they live there. You can also be very distant with people and the things you talk about. You can also stubbornly stick to your point of view. You are secretive and almost never reveal your privacy to the public. Your father could have been someone who had power over you so this position can also represent power struggles. Your early life may have been too intense, too many secrets. You don't want anyone to have an influence on you and who you are. Your intense personality makes its mark in career matters.
🏹Chrion in 10th house- your career involves healing others or something you can do to help other people. It can also mean that you have a lot of pain caused by your father. Point of View: the Biggest Thing You're Missing!
Point of view is one of the most important elements of narrative fiction, especially in our modern writing climate, but you rarely hear it seriously discussed unless you go to school for writing; rarely do help blogs or channels hit on it, and when they do, it's never as in-depth as it should be. This is my intro to POV: what you're probably missing out on right now and why it matters. There are three essential parts of POV that we'll discuss.
Person: This is the easiest part to understand and the part you probably know already. You can write in first person (I/me), second (You), and third person (He/she/they). You might hear people talk about how first person brings the reader closer to the central character, and third person keeps them further away, but this isn't true (and will be talked about in the third part of this post!) You can keep the reader at an intimate or alien distance to a character regardless of which person you write in. The only difference--and this is arguable--is that first person necessitates this intimacy where third person doesn't, but you still can create this intimacy in third person just as easily. In general, third person was the dominant (and really the only) tense until the late 19th century, and first person grew in popularity with the advent of modernism, and nowadays, many children's/YA/NA books are written in first person (though this of course doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't write those genres in the third person). Second person is the bastard child. Don't touch it, even if you think you're clever, for anything the length of a novel. Shorter experimental pieces can use it well, but for anything long, its sounds more like a gimmick than a genuine stylistic choice.
Viewpoint Character: This is a simple idea that's difficult in practice. Ask yourself who is telling your story. This is typically the main character, but it needn't be. Books like The Book Thief, The Great Gatsby, Rebecca, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the Sherlock series are told from the perspective of a side character who isn't of chief importance to the narrative. Your viewpoint character is this side character, the character the reader is seeing the world through, so the main character has to be described through them. This isn't a super popular narrative choice because authors usually like to write from the perspective of their most interesting character, but if you think this choice could fit your story, go for it! You can also swap viewpoint characters throughout a story! A word of warning on that: only change your viewpoint character during a scene/chapter break. Switching mid-scene without alerting the reader (and even when you do alert the reader) will cause confusion. I guarantee it.
Means of Perception; or, the Camera: This part ties the first two together. If you've ever heard people talk about an omniscient, limited, etc. narrator, this is what they mean. This part also includes the level of intimacy the reader has with the viewpoint character: are we in their heads, reading their thoughts, or are we so far away that we can only see their actions? If your story is in a limited means of perception, you only have access to your character's head, eyes, and interpretations, where an omniscient narrator sees through all characters' heads at once. (This doesn't eliminate the viewpoint character--most of your writing will still be in that character's head, but you're allowed to reach into other characters' thoughts when needed. You could also be Virginia Woolf, who does fluidly move through everyone's perspectives without a solid viewpoint character, but I would advise against this unless you really are a master of the craft.) Older novels skew towards third person omniscient narration, where contemporary novels skew towards first person limited. You also have a spectrum of "distant" and "close." If omniscient and limited are a spectrum of where the camera can swivel to, distant and close is a spectrum of how much the camera can zoom in and out. Distant only has access to the physical realities of the world and can come off as cold, and close accesses your character's (or characters', if omniscient) thoughts. Notice how I said narration. Your means of perception dramatically effects how your story can be told! Here's a scene from one of my stories rewritten in third-person distant omniscient. The scene is a high school football game:
“Sometimes,” he said. “Not much anymore.” “It’s not better, then?” She shivered; the wind blew in. “A little.” His tone lifted. “I don’t know if it’ll ever be better, though.” She placed a hand on his arm, stuttered there, and slipped her arm around his waist. “Did it help to be on your own?” He raised an eyebrow. “You were there.” “Yes and no.” “And the guys, the leaders.” “Come on,” she heckled. “Okay, okay.” Carmen sighed. “Yeah, it helped. I don’t think—I don’t know—I’d be me if they’d fixed it all.” She grinned. “And who might you be?” “Oh, you know. Scared, lonely.” He fired them haphazardly, and a bout of laughter possessed him which Piper mirrored. “Impatient.” “And that’s a good thing?” “No.” He sat straight. “Gosh, no. But I don’t want to be like him, either.” He pointed to the field; Devon recovered a fumbled ball. “He’s never been hurt in his life.” She met his eyes, which he pulled away. “You don’t mean that," Piper said. “Maybe not. He’s too confident, though.” The cloth of Carmen's uniform caved and expanded under Piper's fingers.
With distant-omniscient, we only get the bare actions of the scene: the wind blows in, Piper shivers, the cloth rises and falls, Carmen points, etc. But you can tell there's some emotional and romantic tension in the scene, so let's highlight that with a first person limited close POV:
“Sometimes,” he said. “Not much anymore.” “It’s not better, then?” Frost spread up from her legs and filled her as if she were perforated rock, froze and expanded against herself so that any motion would disturb a world far greater than her, would drop needles through the mind’s fabric. A misplaced word would shatter her, shatter him. “A little.” His tone lifted. “I don’t know if it’ll ever be better, though.” She placed a hand on his arm, thought better, and slipped her arm around his waist. “He’s never been hurt in his life.” “You don’t mean that.” She spoke like a jaded mother, spoke with some level of implied authority, and reminded herself again to stop. “Maybe not. He’s too confident, though.” Piper felt the cloth of his waist cave and expand under her fingers and thought: is this not confidence?
Here, we get into Piper's thoughts and physical sensations: how the frost rises up her, and how this sensation of cold is really her body expressing her nervous fears; how she "thought better" and put her arm around his waist; her thought "is this not confidence?"; and how she reminds herself not to talk like a mother. Since I was writing from the close, limited perspective of a nervous high schooler, I wrote like one. If I was writing from the same perspective but with a child or an older person, I would write like them. If you're writing from those perspectives in distant narration, however, you don't need to write with those tones but with the authorial tone of "the narrator."
This is a lot of info, so let's synthesize this into easy bullet points to remember.
Limited vs. Omniscient. Are you stuck to one character's perspective per scene or many?
Close vs. Distant. Can you read your characters' thoughts or only their external worlds? Remember: if you can read your character's thoughts, you also need to write like you are that character experiencing the story. If child, write like child; if teen, write like teen; etc.
Here's another way to look at it!
Tumblr media
This is a confusing and complex topics, so if you have any questions, hit up my ask box, and I'll answer as best I can. The long and short of it is to understand which POV you're writing from and to ruthlessly stick to it. If you're writing in limited close, under no circumstances should you describe how a character other than your viewpoint character is feeling. Maintaining a solid POV is necessary to keeping the dream in the reader's head. Don't make them stumble by tripping up on POV!

Law or Zoro (maybe both separately 🙇‍♀️?) with their s/o secretly being a kunoichi 🤭
Thank u 🙏
Hi Hi! I'll start with: I'm sorry. I didn't know much about the term and I tried to research it, but to be honest, I don't think I got the best of it. I used the point of view in which the character actually became an ally. Maybe I got a little carried away with Law.
After all, how can you disappoint them? (I mean, look at these two happy just seeing Raizo)

Zoro
Warnings: blood, use of swords, the two like each other but are unable to deal with it maturely.
"Leaving friendship aside" you shouted, dodging the blow. "You're too slow, Zoro."
" What did you say?" He tried to attack you again, but it only took a few steps for you to dodge his attacks. "What the hell!"
"I said: slow." You stopped the sword with your forearm, turning it and letting it rest against the swordsman's skin. "And sloppy."
"How can you do that?"
"A lady doesn't tell your secrets." You laughed, letting him go.
The sun streamed through the crow's nest windows, illuminating the entire space.
Occasionally you and the swordsman would take time out to train. Your excuse was always that you needed to improve your skills and his was that he needed a punching bag. You knew there was a lot behind it - the hours wasted together, the accidental skin-to-skin touches. Those workouts were your favorite part of your schedule.
A crash caught the two of you's attention as well as the uneven rocking and some screams coming from beneath you.
"We are being attacked." Zoro looked out the small window seeing the reason for the small chaos that had formed. "Stay here."
He disappeared from your field of vision in a few seconds. You were determined to follow his orders, not that you owed any kind of obligation, but returning to fight seemed like a distant choice.
Your eyes narrowed at the edge of the window, trying to understand the scale of what was happening. Three pirate ships surrounded the Sunny, each with a flag. Probably a group has allied together to try to overthrow you. Ignoring it no longer seemed like an option.
You practically jumped halfway down the stairs, finding the ship full of enemies. Everyone fought as best they could, but the number of people interested in taking down the Straw Hats seemed too much for you.
Using the same technique you had used in previous training, you dodged each attack, trying to take as little damage as possible. On the other side, you saw one of the men suddenly throw Nami's Clima-tact stick away. Your eyes quickly searched for the best and closest alternative within your reach.
Dodging two guys, you didn't bother asking for permission to take out the third sword that Zoro still kept in its sheath, only seeing him look at you sideways without much room to question.
Before the bullet hit Nami, you positioned the katana blade and watched the fragment turn into two. Ignoring your friend's screams, you threw blows at the first man who had attacked her. A cut in the middle of the chest was enough to knock him down and make room for other enemies to find you.
The sharp blade paraded across the deck of the Sunny, arms fell around you, enemy blood splashed on your clothes and the floor. The presence of the other companions was a memory in the fog, you just needed to help everyone get rid of the little problem. Losing your balance when you saw the ship accelerate in the opposite direction to the enemy ship, it wasn't long before you were just contemplating the blue horizon in front of you.
The absolute silence took a few seconds to bother you until you realized what it was. All your companions looked at you curiously, probably the blood that dripped from the katana and that also stained your clothes was what attracted most of their attention.
The words came to the tip of your tongue and died for a few moments, you were fully aware that you owed your friends satisfaction, it was just difficult to bring the story to light.
"Since when did you know how to do that?" Nami was the first to ask, without any type of ceremony.
"There's been a good, good time."
"But you weren't just an expert in languages, I mean, for someone who has their face buried in books translating those strange things, you know your way around a katana very well." Usopp pointed out, making clear all the curiosity - which was probably in the others' minds.
"I was trained for a long time, longer than I would have liked." you declared, walking to the edge of the ship and leaning against it.
The crew's swordsman did the same, stopping next to you and the others practically circled you. Your hand nervously squeezed the blunt end of the sword in your hand.
"I was taught to infiltrate, to go unnoticed, to kill. I never had much of a choice in the meantime."
"And how did you end up here?" Chopper asked almost adorably, his curiosity leaning more toward admiration than anything else.
"I had a mission." your eyes found Robin in the background. "I needed to infiltrate and take Robin away from here, a high price for someone with high qualifications."
"This is getting interesting." the archaeologist smiled almost understandingly. For some reason you seemed to have given up on the plan and she had already found herself in a similar position. "What made you stop?"
"You, all of you." the answer sounded obvious coming from you. "You all welcomed me so well, I felt like part of a family. So I never answered the calls again and decided to stay here, to be honest, if I had any other choice I wouldn't have done all this." you gestured towards the blood on your clothes. "I understand if you want me to leave, a secret this big..."
"No." Luffy responded immediately. "You're not going to leave."
"But..."
"The captain decided, you're still a Straw Hat." Sanji completed, leaving room for a brief drag on his cigarette. "And with all that blood you're still beautiful."
"Shut up idiot" Zoro grumbled. "But I agree with Luffy, it's decided, you stay. Now everyone, let's get these scraps out of here." the man pointed to the downed enemies.
Without much desire to continue arguing, one by one you saw your companions move away and begin to clean the deck. Zoro however remained there, standing a few meters away.
"I bet you hate me for my petty theft." You turned to him.
"Are you feeling good?" His calm voice broke your expectations. "You didn't seem comfortable telling all that."
"It's a past that I wanted to leave behind, you know? Being a linguist is much cooler than having to scrub clothes dirty with enemy remains, but now I don't have much choice."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I've already proven that I can fight, I believe that in the next battles it won't make much sense for me to try to escape." a dejected smile crossed your lips as you approached him.
"Only if you want." Zoro replied as you parked yourself in front of him, your feet aligned with his. "If you want to fight, I'll be happy to help you get a katana. If you want to continue just being you, I promise I have enough strength and swords for both of us."
The promise implicit in his voice gave you goosebumps, as well as warming your cheeks in a certain shyness.
"And leaving friendship aside?" he started and you just nodded. "You look beautiful using my katana to take out idiots."
"Leaving friendship aside..." you replied, taking the opportunity to reduce the small space between you.
Without taking your eyes off Zoro's eyes, you slid the sword back into his sheath, completing the trio that now rested after the battle.
"I'd love to be able to do both. Maybe you can help me." your faces were just a short distance away, ignoring the entire world around you.
"Meet me tonight, upstairs. I think we can take some time to train."
"You two make this mess, come help!" Nami's scream broke you both out of your little trance, but the promise still hung in the air.

Law
Warnings: cute, brief hint of something hotter at the end, pre-established relationship. Law is a super nerd in this one.
Something was out of place. Something felt like it was about to go wrong, you just didn't know what. Following the corridors of the submarine, you made a point of looking room by room, corner by corner, in search of what you didn't even know what you were looking for. The Polar Tang, despite being moored on an island, was occupied by all the crew. Almost all, the captain was absent.
"Bepo?" you entered the room he was in, hitting the switch sharply.
With nightfall and no longer sailing, there weren't many tasks left to be carried out inside Polar Tang. The bear - who was apparently taking a brief nap - rubbed his eyes, trying to understand where the call was coming from.
"Sorry to wake you up. Did you have any news from the captain?"
"He just said he was going to leave for a few hours and that if possible, we would be ready to leave." If it weren't for the worry you would definitely be teasing Bepo and his habit of making mini roars instead of yawns.
"Taking a nap is being ready, mister furry?" the bear's grumbling filled the room. "I don't know Bepo, I have a bad feeling."
"About the captain?" he rose to his feet, more alert than before. "He said he had things to sort out."
"I don't know." you murmured, thinking about possibilities, perhaps the worst possible ones echoed in your mind. "From what I remember, Law was alone for a long time before he went, am I right?"
"Yes! He said he needed to focus on something."
"Okay, let's go through his desk."
Papers hung on the wall, notes spread out on the table, a large web connected the information he had gathered so far about Doflamingo. Occupying his chair, you didn't hesitate to turn over some pages, finding names and positions written down and a map of the island. An X marking a specific point next to a photo attracted your gaze, making you search your own memories to understand the familiarity with such a situation.
"Flander..." you brought the photo of the man with white hair and a black suit closer. You remembered the man but even so, your brain burned trying to remember why and it gave you a bad feeling.
"Do you know him?" "An idiot tycoon who's also a mobster. Last time I bumped into him it was to recover a stolen devil fruit. He craves power, so he uses the black market to sell them and also use... oh, shit!"
"What happened?" the bear tried to keep up with you as you ran back to your room, thankful to find it empty.
"Get everything ready for us to escape. Also prepare the defenses." you pulled out a large hidden brown box. "Law may have been ambushed."
In other situations you would even ask him to leave, but while the bear screamed and ran from side to side you didn't hesitate to throw your overalls and in seconds put on the suit. The minutes lost in getting dressed would certainly be recovered with help in camouflaging.
"Wait, what is this?"
"No questions Bepo! Go now!"
You adjusted the cloth that covered part of your face. Ignoring the curious stares, you crossed Polar Tang in seconds, finding a full moon shining all over the pier that night. That costume, that story, you had chosen to leave behind, but the thought of someone hurting your captain was too much for you to ignore.
Following through the trees it didn't take long to find Flander's compound. Trying to avoid the presence of the security guards, you followed their movement pattern, finding a small gap to climb onto the first floor of roofs. Even though the rooms that were within reach of your eyes seemed empty, you still chose to go outside. Leaning on the gutter and avoiding any noise as much as possible, you didn't have much difficulty finding the next floor.
This time, coming across some lights on in the indoor area, you could feel closer to your goal. Using the noise of voices and the distraction to your advantage, you managed to peek inside the room.
Flander was sitting in one of the chairs, three huge men accompanied him and Law was sitting on the floor. A trickle of blood ran from his eyebrow and his hands were tied together. You hated being right in your suspicions.
Using the point of illumination to your advantage, you opted for the lack of it, throwing your dagger towards the lamp. The sound of breaking glass attracted the attention of everyone there - including Law.
"Where did that come from?" one of the men bent down picking up the small gray object.
The moonlight might still be an advantage for them, but it wouldn't be a problem for you. Rolling into the window, you took advantage of having fallen in a crouch to cut the ankle of the first man within your reach and joining a trip, he soon found the ground.
The other two gathered around you and using the ratio of size to speed, you managed to dodge them, reaching Flander and putting your other dagger through his leg, leaving it stuck between his thigh and the upholstery of the expensive bench he was sitting on. One of the other men managed to hit you, making you lose your balance, but it only took a few kicks and both he and the other man were on the ground.
"Who are you?" Flanders shouted, probably not only trying to clear the doubt but also trying to get the attention of more henchmen.
Before he could continue shouting, you slammed his head against the expensive wooden table in front of the man.
"Cap... Trafalgar." you corrected yourself almost at the last second. "Do you know where your handcuff keys are?"
"In my left pocket." your eyes - which were one of the few things discovered on your face looked in pure disbelief at him. "I knew he would try to trick me, I changed all the handcuffs here to regular versions."
"I do not believe that." despite the relief in knowing that in a way, he already knew what awaited him, it didn't stop you from staying alert.
"You're Shadow Moon, right? The konoichi who helps Sora in magazine 147 of the regular story. From Yushe Island?" He stood up, approaching the table and picking up a small brown notebook, leafing through it quickly. "Am I right, Shadow Moon?"
"Law, we have time to sort this out later." you pulled the cloth away, revealing your face. "Is this the only notebook you need?"
"Are you Sora's Shadow Moon from the Yushe Islands?" for the first time you saw Law's voice rise a few decibels in pure surprise. A slightly more serious version of a child who just got the doll he always wanted. "You?"
"We really can... Shit!" you felt your arm burn as more men appeared in your field of vision. Before you could prepare to fight, the blue dome enveloped you and the bodies lying in the room were replaced by the trees of the island's small forest, the same one that had helped you camouflage your arrival.
"Well, it was a graze." you checked your own arm and it didn't take long for Law to take the job for himself.
"Yes, you almost don't need stitches. A bandage should do the trick, Shadow Moon."
"Are you really going to call me that all night?" Law decided to back off the subject when he noticed the irritation in your voice, but you knew the subject wouldn't remain quiet for long. "When we arrive at Polar Tang, I'll explain. I've already got everyone ready for us to set sail."
You were never so happy to be back in the little metal cocoon, or at least that was the affectionate way you called the yellow submarine. After reassuring everyone, you followed Law to his room, knowing that he must have doubts about everything that happened.
"How did you know I was there?" he asked as soon as you slammed the door behind you. Taking advantage of the small peace to catch your breath, you leaned against the wall.
"I had a strange feeling and when I found Flander's photo, I knew something was wrong. I already knew his history with Devil Fruit users."
"I understood." Law seemed distracted by something on his stand. "I knew he would try to catch me, I wanted to make the most of my time to extract information."
"Next time, please let your girlfriend know." you murmured, crossing your arms and watching him walk towards you. "No way."
Law placed a small doll next to you and you knew what it was without even looking.
"Shadow Moon, I knew it!"
"I'm sorry I kept this from you." You asked and saw him nod. The same hand that held the action figure pulled you closer to the bed.
"How did you end up in Sora?" he sat down, giving you space to sit next to him or in it.
"Long story short, I helped one of the comic's editors, it was his way of thanking me." Law's eyes sparkled as you adjusted yourself over his hips.
"My girlfriend is Shadow Moon. Do you have any idea how badass that is?" he again looked at the doll and placed it aside. "Although you look a lot hotter in the real version."
"Is this serious? I took down several idiots at once to save you and you're impressed by this?" You pointed to your own clothes.
"This? You mean the legendary Shadow Moon responsible for taking down enemy armies and who can disappear into the shadows?" Your loud laugh also brought a light laugh from Law. "Shadow Moon herself came to save me. Where were you hiding all this?"
"Kind of wanted to put that story behind me." you bent down and pushed him against the bed, using the gap to lay on his chest. Just a few hours apart along with the adrenaline in your body made you miss Law's contact. "It was really lucky they left my suit in Sabaody."
"If you don't want to talk about it, that's okay." Noticing the hesitation in your voice, Law tried to steer you away from that subject. But his presence was comforting, it was as if the old memories were just that: things left behind.
"After my parents died, these women took me in. They gave me a home, food, but in return they trained me. They did this with different types of girls."
"You know why?"
"A lot of us went on missions for them, but the purpose was always to teach us how to defend ourselves." You smiled when you felt his fingers caress your skin, encouraging you to keep talking.
"I started to stand out, taking down many of the enemies until the mission where they discovered me infiltrated. I was pretending to be a doctor for one of the pirates who stole them."
"So that's why you already knew how to deal with everything here."
"Exactly, it was almost like a vocation, or destiny" a provocative smile dared to cross your lips, soon disappearing. "After finding out, they locked me up for a while. When they got tired of my presence, they sold me into slavery."
"You're lucky that a guy with a good heart was there, right?" Law's cynicism was something almost immersed in him. You quickly took the man's lips.
"They say he was very handsome." you murmured, catching his kisses.
"Babe, please." his tone was strangled when he felt your hips press against his. "But it's okay if you say no..."
"Trafalgar!" You lightly patted his shoulder when you saw him blush - like you hadn't seen in the time you were together. The way his gaze roamed your body made it clear what he wanted. "Okay, the costumes are still on my body."
"Hm.. my beautiful little konoichi." he turned you over on the bed, pinning you beneath him. "This time you won't be able to hide."

Carmen Berzatto x fem(reader)
Part 1!
Tumblr media
Plot: You’re an up and coming chef who just moved to Chicago for culinary school. As you search for work while completing school, you stumble upon an old Italian sandwich shop.
Warnings: Excessive Profanity, mentions of smoking and anxiety
Themes: eventual smut, slow burn, mentor/mentee dynamic
Author’s Note: Lmk if you enjoy this and if you’re interested in more :D.
*Tick, Tick, Tick*
The train clammers along its tracks everywhere you go, the sounds are thunderous but calming to the soul. Many people may say cities like Chicago are too busy to live in, but the chaos and bustle is where you thrive. The streets are busy, the lights are constantly gleaming, and best of all the food is amazing. This couldn’t be a more perfect place to be, Chicago was where it was at.
As the pulse of the city continues to beat within itself, the bills rack up. Student tuition ain’t going to pay itself so you find yourself in a desperate need of work. You’ve been applying to numerous places but no dice. Dejected, you walk home from a failed job interview, but as you walk heavily in your interview attire you see a sign on a small sandwich shop saying “ Help Wanted”. Curious, you step into the shop seeing what this opportunity may offer.
The moment you walk in, you hear chaos in the kitchen. Yelling from the front to the back of the shop. The shop itself is quite shabby, not the cleanest but it has its charm. You walk up to the register to see a tall dude with a beard yelling profanities and crude remarks as all hell breaks loose.
*Ding Ding*
“Uh hi! I saw you guys were offering employing opportunities, is there anyone I could possibly talk to about it?”
The guy, mid fight, stops and looks at you confused. He looks at the front window then yells to the back of the shop.
“HEY CUZ! SOMEONE’S LOOKING TO TALK ABOUT YOUR BITCH ASS HELP WANTED SIGN!”
You hear a voice come from the back.
“SHUT THE FUCK UP, WE NEED THE HELP RICHIE.”
*pots clamoring*
“ Fuck- I’LL TALK TO THEM IN A BIT JUST TELL THEM TO WAIT”
The tall guy looks back at you with slight annoyance from the interaction but he keeps his best to stay calm to you.
“Just sit tight sweetheart, that asshole will probably take a while. “
He points at the menu
“ Want to order something in the meantime?”
You look at the menu and see that there’s a new menu item with “NEW” in bold.
“Uh… I’ll just take the new braised meat sandwich.”
After you order your sandwich, you wait by the seats at the front of the store. Amongst all the chaos, the view outside is nice. You pop in your ear buds and once you get your sandwich you just stare out the window and eat.
The shop seemed to be having a slow day, only one person came in every other 20 minutes. Poor dudes. The owner seems to be dealing with other shit so you decided to give the sandwich a chance. As you grasp the crisp yet pillowy bread, the crackle of the exterior creates a beautiful melody to the ear.
*crunch*
You bite down.
Holy. shit. The first bite into the sandwich was pure magic. The meat was tender, braised to the perfect temperature with great aromatics. The vegetables pair perfectly to the salty savory flavor of the meat. Such complex flavors in one sandwich. Who would’ve thought a place like this would have something this special.
*CRASH*
You’ve waited for almost an hour at this point. You get about halfway through the sandwich before you hear a distant voice getting closer. A man with wavy golden brown hair appears looking stressed out of his mind. He argues with the tall dude with the beard for a bit before seeing you by the front.
*tap tap tap*
You hear footsteps behind you.
(C)“ Hey, uhm are you the person asking about employment?”
You turn around, face to face with piercing blue eyes. You take your earphones out.
“Oh, uh yes! I’m y/n, it’s nice to meet you“. *reaches out hand*
He shakes it firmly. His eyes look into your soul, they blaze with a determination and firmness but there’s a strange beauty behind their bluish clarity. Their borderline disconcerting and beautiful.
(C)“Yes, hi. My name is Carmen Berzatto but my friends call me Carmy. I’m uh the owner of this place and it’s really great that you’ve got an interest here.”
His eyes linger, along with an air that lasts a beat too long.
(C)“ Shit uh… Please! Come with me so we can talk about this further. “
He guides you towards the back of the kitchen. As you make your way through the kitchen you hear
“Corner!”
You whirl to the side as a tall burley man with a beanie comes through with a tray of bread. You try your best following Carmen as he keeps moving forward, you lag behind a bit. He says
(C)“Right, so uhm do you have a resume or anything?”
You look at him and remember you have your bag.
“Ah yes yes of course.”
You hand him your resume and as he grabs it he peruses through your credentials. As you look around in the meantime, amongst the chaos there’s a homey feeling about this place. You can see and smell the history of the place. Not only with the food, but a teeny bit of mold you see in the corner of the ceiling. As you recoil a bit from seeing that you find yourself face to face with an office door.
*Creak*
Close to smacking your head on the sudden change, you feel a rough callused hand gently cover your head.
(C)“Careful. There’s a dip”
You enter the office and Carmen sits down, putting your resume to the side.
(C)“ Sooo… what kind of positions are you interested in.”
“Ideally would like to work my way up from a line cook to a sous chef. Big dreams for such little time haha.”
His eyes light up a bit. Your charm has intrigued him.
(C) “Ha, ok. Driven I see. Well you’ve got some great heat in some kitchens. Good stuff on here. New Orleans, Vegas, Italy. Not a Chicago native huh?”
“ Yeah no I’ve just started settling. Already love it though.”
The sides of his mouth rise slightly.
*Tick, Tick, Tick*
(C)“ Ok, so what are you doing here? “
“Hm?”
He leans back on his chair
(C) “ You’re experienced, if not overqualified to work here. So why are you here and not at a Michelin?”
You stare at him unsure how to answer at first. You decide to just tell the truth.
“ I need a job. I have talent but you can’t ride on that forever. Got lucky in the past with it but I’m going to culinary school to get more refined. “
His face is hard to read. It gets you a bit more anxious.
“ Look I’ve got student loans to pay off and I just got here so rent ain’t cheap. Im not picky. A job is a job, so I’ll treat it like any other place. “
You can see a spark of excitement in Carmen’s eyes
(C) “ just like a Michelin?”
“ For sure. ”
Carmen looks at you for a second and then looks at your resume. You can see his deep lines from all the furrowing he does with his brows. He sets it down
(C) “ We’re family here. If I say yes I gotta know if you’re a team player or not. Even if people get on your fucking nerves I gotta know if you’ll keep a cool head. “
You nod. Carmen sees this and shows a small smile and nods his head.
(C) “ Ok. I think you got potential.”
You beam
(C) “ Get here at 6am sharp for prep. You got that chef?”
You smile widely
“ Yes chef!”

Yandere! Incel! Scaramouche x NB! Reader
This is an 18+ blog!!!! If you don’t like yandere content or are a minor, do not interact. thank you!
CW: Yandere content, stalking, creepy scaramouche, incel behavior, creepy behavior, toxic relationships, kidnapping, his friends encourage and enable his problematic behavior, brief fantasizing about a domestic husband/spouse dynamic, forced romantic relationship, non-consensual touching
*also just to be clear, this is loosely based off the term “incel,” his behavior is more like a creepy recluse if anything?? I just couldn’t think of a better word to use and I thought it fit okay. there’s no misogyny or extremely gross behavior involved, but he is creepy so just. keep that in mind. anyways, enjoy!
—————————
Incel! Scaramouche who doesn’t get out much not because he has bad social skills (he does but that’s not the point), but because he loathes the idea of big crowds and being around lots of people. Socializing with people is already irritating enough, since he’s the only one on this earth who seems to have braincells. Why go out when he’s got everything he needs at home?
Incel! Scaramouche who has more money than he knows what to do with from his (insanely) loaded and emotionally distant mother (who gives it to him because she doesn’t know how to show affection any other way). he spends it all on expensive gaming set ups, take-out, and new technology all while being up in his top floor penthouse with a horizon line view.
Incel! Scaramouche who has friends, they’re just all online (and just as fucked up as he is) who he talks to (yells at) through the microphone while gaming.
Incel! Scaramouche who meets you while doing something mudane. He sees you at a grocery store picking over vegetables one day. Ignores you. 30 minutes later, he proceeds to bump into you and then acts like an asshole about you touching him, something that was clearly his fault. The two of you get into it, and eventually you’re the one to turn and walk away, already in a bad mood from the interaction. He’s interested now.
Incel! Scaramouche who isn’t delusional enough to convince himself that it’s fate, but who is curious enough to stalk follow you around for a while. He’s not hurting you or talking to you, what’s the harm done?
Incel! Scaramouche who while stalking monitoring you begins to note things about you. Unconsciously, of course. It’s not like his life revolves around you or anything. He just…starts to notice things. How you spend your days, what you like, what you don’t like, who you interact with and the places that you spend your time at the most. Soon enough he knows just as much about you habits and daily life as your friends do, if not more.
Incel! Scaramouche whos friends encourage his problematic behavior. They’re just as chronically online as he is, and have no conception of the morals and boundaries that come with having a healthy relationship. (Some of them, like Venti and Kazuha, even have a more romantic view of his infatuation interest, repeating that it’s okay to cross some lines, as long as it’s for love)
Incel! Scaramouche who has a weird view of relationships because his only knowledge on them comes from anime, the internet, and all the other types of weird media he consumes. (Should the kidnapping happen before or after your first date?) He’s not doing any of the cheesy shit the internet says. He’s not going to bring flowers, that would be stupid. (He’ll end up buying an overly large bouquet which he sends to your doorstep. there’s no note and you find it extremely creepy. You refuse to leave your home without pepper spray now)
Incel! Scaramouche who eventually just plucks you from the streets, right outside of your home/apartment building. No struggle to go along with it. Obviously you do fight back, but the men he hired to pick you up are far too experienced for you to even have a chance of running away.
Incel! Scaramouche who doesn’t really care about your feelings surrounding the whole situation. and well. he was getting a little lonely. most of his friends live too far away for them to meet up frequently, and it’s not like he’d want to see those crazy bastards everyday anyways. You’re much better company compared to those psychos, as much as he loathes to admit it. and you’re just so…pretty, and he can feel and touch you as much as he wants. it’s pleasant, and his apartment has never felt so full before, not at all empty like it did before he brought you here. you should be grateful you’re here too; he gives you everything you could ever want (within reason). really, you should feel grateful that you’ve been chosen by someone who’s so financially stable, who can provide for you.
you can have a good life with him, better than you could’ve had without him.
Incel! Scaramouche who kind of begins to see you as his little house spouse. nevermind that you’re here against your will; you’ve taken up doing chores around the house if only to fill the time, and it’s really only confirming his belief that kidnapping you was the best thing he could’ve done. when he comes through the door after a rare visit to the outside world and he sees you sitting there, idle, practically waiting for him? he feels like the typical breadwinner coming home to a loving domestic life. he’s not so delusional to think that you’re happy to be his little house spouse and captive, but it’s not like you can do anything about it, so he might as well enjoy the thought while he can.

How do other people see you?
Attention! This reading is for entertainment purposes only. This tarot reading does not give a 100% guarantee that all the described situations will occur or being ultimate truth. You build your own life and destiny and only you know yourself best.
Paid readings
Pick a pile. Choose one or more pictures. Trust your intuition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pile 1: People see you as a wise person with a lot of experience who can help solve a problem in any field. You are also considered empathic, you get deeply into the problem and offer exactly the solution that would suit him exactly, or say the words of support that he would definitely want to hear. I dare to assume that this pile was chosen by people who work as a psychologist or study for it, but you can just be interested in this topic. At the very least, you are involved in an area where you need to contact people a lot (for example, you are engaged in volunteering or you are working/studying to be a journalist and etc). And although you are quite an empathic person, at the same time you are seen as conflicted, but this is because you do not hide the truth and openly speak, you are honest and straightforward, and this sometimes hurts people. You are also seen as a critic, you may have high standards and therefore it is difficult to please you, many things you may not like. You are seen as a mysterious person and you attract people to yourself with such an aura, they want to get closer to you, but not everyone succeeds, because again you are attentive to the choice of friends, making a social circle!
Tumblr media
Pile 2: People see you as a person to look up to and whose word is worth its weight in gold, you are authoritative for them and people rely on you in serious matters, as your advice really makes sense and helps in solving the issue. At the same time, you are considered an important person who is proud and confident, you know your worth and you have good self-esteem. You have practicality, rationality and good organizational skills. People believe that you are used to relying only on yourself and can cope with any life situation alone. At first glance, you may seem distant and taciturn to them, but this continues until you and your interlocutor get to know each other better. In fact, you always know what to talk about, and you prefer to talk about something deep, on topics that can be discussed for a long time, from a philosophical point of view. You are also considered a fair person who tries to look at reality objectively. You also have well-established views on life, you know exactly what you want, you know your values and principles.
Tumblr media
Pile 3: People see you as an active person who does not sit still and is constantly on the move, is engaged in something, easy-going and easily agrees to the proposed gamble. You are presented as a flexible person, you easily adapt to new changes. You are also seen as a person who has enough resources and opportunities to start getting involved or doing something new. Moreover,  your any endeavors are accompanied by success and luck, you succeed in everything, no matter what you took. Financially, you will also not miss the benefits, you know how to earn a lot of money, you can be described as a magnet for money. However, you get very upset when something does not go according to your plan or something did not happen as you expected. Perhaps you are also impatient because of your nature, it is difficult for you to wait for a long time, you do not fixate on one place and often changes something, be it your style of clothing, your social circle, hobbies and etc.
Thank you for reading! I will be glad of any feedback 🖤

Lewis is constantly checking his phone, waiting for a message or call from you, or taking and sending photos for you. Can you write something where everyone around you is aware that Lewis has a different mood than usual, but they don't understand what it is or they can't find out who that person is? I hope it's clear 💜 have a nice dayy
Who Is She?: Lewis Hamilton x Black!Reader
Tumblr media
Everyone knew how unfocused Lewis was when it came to relationships. Before now he had taken a break from that part of life and had become a bit distant from a lot of things and people to focus on himself as he said, but what if that wasn’t the full truth?
These days, Lewis could be spotted always typing away on his phone, the AirPods are no longer in use for music, he is always in a way more positive mode than usual as he just overall looked extremely happy it almost hurts.
Toto, Bono, Angela, Susie and George watched on as the Mercedes driver smiled every time he read a message, replying quickly before waiting impatiently for a reply from the person involved in the conversation from the other side.
He was as giddy as a high school boy who finally got recognised by his crush and they were enjoying the view. At first they had no idea what was going on and so it wasn’t until George had secretly overseen Lewis receive a message one day that it was cleared. From the understanding of George the name of the girl was Y/n and that was all they know.
Today was the same with Lewis walking around grinning widely as he typed away at his phone while everyone watched on with smiles and smirks at his behaviour. Angela and Susie however we’re very impatient and wanted to find out about the girl in all seriousness so they grabbed him by the shirt and had him sit in the centre of the garage as all eyes were now on him for the interrogation has begun.
“So Lewis, it’s been a couple of weeks that we’ve been noticing your mood change. Not that we don like it, it’s just that we are concerned about what exactly you got yourself into. Now tell us, we already know it’s a girl no need to hide. We want the details sweetheart” Angela urged him softly. “Well…her name is Y/n L/n…she’s 26 years old…she’s a lawyer and real estate agent…I had been speaking to her for a couple of days before she gave me her number and now we’re dating” Lewis blushed as his team awed at his confession. “That is so sweet Lewis. We can see that she really has you locked in, BUT is there any chance that we’ll see her in the paddock?” Bono asked eager for the response. “I was thinking about inviting her to the next race”Lewis replied making the garage irrupt in cheers as they begged him to make the call now.
The phone rang once, twice then a third time before it was answered “Hey Lew” Y/n greeted making the garage awe at the cute nickname. “Hey Y/n/n I always wondering. Since you mentioned that you work from home, I was wondering if there was maybe a chance that I could fly you out for the next race, that’s if you’re interested?” Lewis asked nervously as the line went silent for a while after. “Umm… yeah, sure I’ll be able to come over as long as you send me the information at least least two days before so I can prepare” Y/n answered and everyone was feeling excited at this point waiting for the call to end.
“Ok sweetie, that’s all I wanted to confirm with you, thanks and have a good day yeah?”he nervously said as she replied “No problem, thank you and make sure that you have a good day and don’t go stressing your teammate and team principal out ok? Bye bye” as the phone hung up everyone erupted into applause and cheers as they now had a guest to prepare for leaving a shyly blushing Lewis to go hide away in his drivers room until he was next needed.

Hi! Can you analyse "More Than Anything" from HH?
Hi!
Sure! More Than Anything is actually my favourite song of season 1! It is so sweet and very loaded thematically and character-wise!
Tumblr media
I have briefly talked about it in this meta, but here it comes a deeper analysis!
LUCIFER AND CHARLIE: DREAMING OF LOVE
More Than Anything has two main themes that come together in Lucifer and Charlie's relationship:
Love
Dreams
The father-daughter bond is rooted in both. Specifically, they express love through dreams. Or if you prefer, they dream of love.
This is explored in the first two stanzas.
Firstly, Lucifer explains that his dreams were broken:
You didn't know that when I tried this all before My dreams were too hard to defend And in the end, I won't lose it all again
And that Charlie is now the only dream left, which is why he will protect her:
Now you're the only thing worth fighting for More than anything, more than anything I'll shelter and adore you more than anything
Charlie replies that it was Lucifer who inspired her dreams:
So in the end, it's the view I had of you That showed me dreams can be worth fighting for
And adds that her dream is for her people to be safe:
More than anything, more than anything I need to save my people more than anything
So, father and daughter are the opposite and the same.
On the one hand Lucifer believes fighting for dreams isn't worth it (my dreams were too hard to defend). On the other hand Charlie insists that it is (dreams can be worth fighting for). At the same time, Lucifer dreams of protecting (loving) Charlie, whereas Charlie dreams of protecting (loving) all her people. Desperation and microchosm vs hope and macrochosm. This is the root of Lucifer and Charlie's foiling at the beginning of the song. How does this juxtaposition develop? Let's go deeper by exploring some imagery present in the song.
LIGHT AND SHADOW
More Than Anything uses a light/shadow motif to express the two main themes:
Love (1): lights and shadows comment Lucifer and Charlie's bond. They both have been hiding parts of themselves (shadow), but throughout the song they show their true selves (light)
Dreams (2): light is a metaphor of dreams and of how the characters relate to them
1- More than Anything starts with Lucifer and Charlie distant and in the shadows.
Tumblr media
They are repressing a lot and have no idea who the other is. Still, as the song goes on, they get to understand each other:
All that I'm hopin',now that my eyes are open Is that we can start again, not be pulled apart again 'Cause in the end, you are part of who I am
And in the end they embrace in the light.
Tumblr media
What is initially in the shadow comes to light. So, Lucifer and Charlie see each other for who they are.
2- Lucifer mentions his past dreams and summons light. However, he throws it away because he has given up on his ideals:
Tumblr media
Charlie hurries to pick the light up, just like she is pursuing Lucifer's discarded beliefs with her Hazbin Hotel project. Still, Lucifer stops her and holds her hands. His daughter is his new dream and he is ready to throw everything away, if he can protect her.
This resolution is highlighted in the next sequence:
Tumblr media
Lucifer remembers the Elders of Heaven attacking him, then he imagines their weapons pointed at Charlie. Out of fear he drags her away. What's interesting is that Charlie is targeted when she stands in the light, while the moment Lucifer pulls her to safety, she steps into the shadows. The meaning is clear. Lucifer fears that if Charlie takes the spotlight, she will attract Heaven's anger. So, he wants her hidden and sheltered in the shadows. Just like a child. This is why his hug is sweet, but also suffocating:
Tumblr media
Charlie wants a different kind of love. She needs the father who inspired her with dreams and stories. Specifically, Charlie remembers a light show Lucifer put up for her on the spot:
Tumblr media
This scene is key and it combines the light/shadow symbolism with another motif.
THE UGLY DUCKLING
In their flashback, Lucifer tells Charlie a fairy tale by using light as a medium. The story itself is pretty obvious:
I never dreamed of so much happiness when I was the Ugly Duckling!
A little duck swims in a pool of water, but suddenly grows into a beautiful swan. Lucifer's Ugly Duckling is a metaphor of his situation, as the swan has six seraphim wings and shines at the centre of the universe. Specifically, Lucifer's fairy tale is the inversion of his own story.
Lucifer used to be a beautiful seraphim, but fell from Heaven and lost his family (the angels). He is now stuck in Hell, as a little duck:
Lucifer: Now presenting… the magic-tastical back flipping rubber duck! Haha! That spits fire!
Tumblr media
Oh look! Lucifer himself is a magic-tastical duck, who spits fire :P
So, his fairy tale gives a happy ending to his own tragedy. It is a wish. A dream. It indirectly shows how Lucifer has been handling pain and misery by creating. It also suggests that Lucifer puts himself at the centre of his dreams. He is the ugly duckling.
At the same time, Charlie's narration tells us about herself and how she sees her father.
When I was young, I didn't really know you at all I always felt so small But I hеard your stories and I was enthralled Thе tales about your lofty dreams, I listened breathlessly Imagining it could be me
First of all, Charlie states she never knew who her father was. It is implied Lucifer kept his distance because of depression:
Charlie: We just have never been close. After he and mom split, he never really wanted to see me. He calls, sometimes, but only if he's bored or like needs me to do something.
This is highlighted in Charlie's memory too, as Lucifer appears in a dark study room. Not only that, but he is in the spotlight, while Charlie is in the shadow, which is a metaphor of how she felt distant from him:
Tumblr media
Still, Lucifer embraces little Charlie and shows her some light. He reveals a caring and idealistic self that Charlie is initially unaware of. And this version of Lucifer inspires his daughter.
This affirms that Lucifer's dreams aren't useless. Sure, they are left unfulfilled, but they still motivate Charlie. They are why Charlie is who she is. Moreover, Charlie is enchanted by a simple story, not a big manifestation of power. It isn't a theme park or a circus or human free will. It is a short fairy tale Lucifer comes up with in a matter of seconds. No matter how small, a dream always touches dreamers.
Secondly, Charlie sees herself as the protagonist of the story. She wants to be at the centre of her father's universe and to make him proud. Well, Charlie is going to do exactly this. She is Lucifer's dream. She will fulfill his ambitions. She is turning into a beautiful swan.
Lucifer's arc starts when he understands this:
I've been dyin' to find out who you are I've been waiting, wanting the same thing Looks like the apple doesn't fall far Took you a while I've missed that smile
The King of Hell has been stuck in his own head, consumed by his depression. This is why he is initially alone and surrounded by mediocre rubber ducks. He can't create anything new because he is too focused on himself. The moment he opens his eyes and looks at Charlie, he finds hope again:
I'll support your dream, whatever lies in store And who could ask for more?
Charlie is his new dream, so he should do his best to help her become who she has the potential to be.
When Charlie is a child, Lucifer tells her a story, where he himself is the protagonist. Now that Charlie is an adult, Lucifer must accept Charlie is the protagonist of her own story. And he must help turning this story into reality. This will be his greatest creation. A duckling becoming a swan. A daughter growing-up.
PASSING THE TORCH
Tumblr media
This frame has Lucifer:
Use his light again
Spread his wings
He starts the song by throwing his light away, but ends it by summoning a bigger and brighter torch. Similarly, he starts the episode making rubber ducks out of depression, but ends it with beautiful swan wings.
This metamorphosis happens because Lucifer isn't putting himself at the centre of the universe anymore. Rather, Charlie is his universe.
Lucifer creates a pocket-dimension, which is a bigger version of the fairy-tale of the flashback and has Charlie be its protagonist. He has her play with water, like the little duckling:
Tumblr media
And has her fly at the centre of the scene like the swan:
Tumblr media
In this scene, he gives her the spotlight, both in how he exits the frame and in how he has the light follow her. Charlie is the swan shining brightly at the centre of Lucifer's world (the circus).
More Than Anything starts with Lucifer desperate and focused on the microchosm. It ends with him finding hope in Charlie, who becomes the key to a bigger and more beautiful reality.
Lucifer's biggest success is that he gave birth to Charlie and showed her the light (dreams), even when he himself felt engulfed by the darkness (hell).

For me - I really hope Yuan is super super petty in the upcoming episodes because……from his point of view, surely it feels like Quan cut him out of his life SO EASILY. I would be all “ I suffered for 4 years while I was away and what did you do?!”
I know Yuan will be grown up and all understanding and what ever - but I think everything Quan is GOING to say about his friend and his sister will be affirmation enough about their “brother bond”
I also neeeeeed San Ping to eat his own words because……boy, how is what you have with Lilli different? Every excuse you’re about to give - no wonder Yuan is in the back with his popcorn!
It’s been so long since I’ve watched a show that I have WANTED the ness, the angst and the pain!!!
I am sorry to disappoint you but I have NOT been paying attention to colours, so you have really been helping me through this one!
Anon, I can't believe I, the pettiest person, am about to write this:
I want Yuan to be better than me.
I want him to be petty for five seconds, then I need him to be nice to Qian.
Normally, I'd be advocating for the main character to make his love interest suffer, but unlike all these other BL boys who make dumb decisions and force a separation from their loved one that doesn't make sense, Qian makes sense.
Qian was abused as a child by his mother. Physically (and sexually).
Qian put his life on the line for his siblings because he fully considers them to be his siblings.
Qian was at a work event when Yuan confessed.
Qian sees himself as a parental figure, so if Yuan has feelings for him, what did Qian do to evoke those feelings form Yuan? He was worried about Lili wearing a red shirt and going out, so what is Qian's internal conflict now that Yuan forced a kiss on him? Is he somehow his mother? Someone who was supposed to care for him yet abused him.
Even if Qian could see Yuan as something other than a brother, Yuan has endless possibilities at his feet. Qian specifically stated he didn't want Yuan running home to take care of him because Qian knows Yuan has a future . . . if he isn't always taking care of Qian.
And even if Qian could see a future with them, Yuan was drunk, at his job, during an important event. This is the thinnest argument because we know Yuan was sick and upset, but Qian is stoic and compartmentalizes, so Yuan's emotional outburst, like that, about that, THERE?! I don't carry Qian's baggage, yet I would have been so much worse to Yuan.
So how does a man with that level of trauma deal with any of this? He cares. That's obvious. But how much can he care and in what ways? Someone else already wrote about Qian having NO romantic partners or even shown to have romantic interest. Does a movie star count? No. It's safe. It's distant. He doesn't have to do anything.
He hugs the toilet more than he hugs Lili.
He made it clear to San Pang that Yuan was hugging him in bed not the other way around.
And yet Qian's immediate reaction to knowing Yuan was in front of him was to touch him.
And yet after getting the shit beat out of him, Qian comforted Yuan.
I live for petty ass shit. It's my breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus midnight snack. But it would hurt my heart if Yuan carried on his petty shenanigans to the point that Qian doubted Yuan's love or the feelings he has begun to develop in Yuan's absence.
Qian needed time, and he got it. Now, Qian needs to know that whatever he is beginning to feel isn't wrong.
Tumblr media
Yuan can be petty to San Pang all day every day because San Pang can handle it. He has two loving parents who have rental properties. He has a girlfriend who is a hardworking model. He has a swing in his office.
But Qian?
Tumblr media
He only had his brother and his sister.
Tumblr media
And, somehow, with that confession, they are both gone.

Being the Maid of Yandere Louis James Moriarty
Tumblr media
A/N: I kinda winged this one, if you can’t tell already. Enjoy, or don’t, I guess. Do whatever.
You were a maid at the Rockwell estate.
Fairly young, you had worked there for your entire life.
Your days consisted of tedious chores, cooking and cleaning mostly.
That is until Lord Rockwell suddenly took in three wards.
You heard passing rumors from other servants, about the incident at the Moriarty manor.
The count and his wife, along with all of their servants, tragically lost their lives in a terrible fire. Nothing was spared, except the count’s children, who were left orphaned.
Although no one seemed to mention the adopted child that had also perished in the fire…
You felt pity for the boys, only a few years younger than yourself. Especially the youngest.
The eldest son, Albert, was busy with duties as the heir to the earldom while the second son, William, was soon enrolled in school.
That left the youngest, Louis, alone.
And, although you don’t like to admit it, you felt slight trepidation at first.
The boys were withdrawn, which could only be expected, but they didn’t seem to have an air of grief about them. More so, the atmosphere appeared almost like a cold sense of resolution.
But, when you laid eyes on his bandaged face, you felt guilty for your thoughts.
Ashamed, you made it a point to be especially kind to the boys. But, your efforts mostly went to Louis, who remained in the house most of the time.
Initially, Louis was rather confused by your attention. You seemed to go out of your way to speak with him. Whether it was just greeting him or asking how his day was.
He didn’t know why you were so interested in him, rather than Albert, the eldest, or William, the prodigy.
Most people disregarded him, the adopted, scarred boy from the slums, with neither age or intelligence to make him stand out in a particular way.
Still, he remained cordial to you. He was even somewhat grateful to learn firsthand how to manage a household.
Soon enough, it became common for the two of you to be seen together, whether it was doing laundry, washing dishes, or cooking in the kitchen.
It was tedious work that you were used to, but you enjoyed the time with Louis.
And you couldn’t help but think he did as well.
As time passes, Louis becomes gradually less distant, his smile becoming less of a pleasantry, more genuine.
He would also leave small gifts for you, be it a small pastry he claimed he made too much of or a flower he said was out of place in a bouquet he picked.
You're pleased by this change. Ignoring etiquette, you sometimes gently ruffled his hair just to see him get flustered. Or you would hug him to coax a smile out of him.
If someone saw the two of you, they would have seen an older sister teasing her brother.
And it felt that way. For you, at least. For Louis…
It felt odd to think of you in such a way.
William mentions, offhandedly, how close the two of you seem to be.
Louis is startled by this observation. He’d never been particularly close to anyone except William, and Albert, to an extent.
He quickly assured his brother that you were just a maid, an innocent servant that knew nothing.
But William only smiles and says he’s happy to see Louis enjoying himself.
With his brother’s (seeming) blessing, Louis reconsiders his feelings about you.
It was obvious you viewed him as a younger sibling, if your physical affection said anything. But why did that frustrate him?
He wanted to be the only one you smiled at with that beautiful smile of yours. He felt irritated whenever you gave one in passing to a male servant.
Fortunately, it was easy to use his young age to his advantage. He would grab at your skirt like a child trying to get someone’s attention. It was shameless, but effective as you would turn to him with a smile.
Or he would pretend to be confused about how to prepare a meal, just to have your attention to himself.
It was easy when he was younger, but those tricks wouldn’t work as he got older.
So how could he keep you to himself?
Tumblr media
As years passed, the two of you grew older.
Your relationship now turned a few more heads. Why would a simple maid be so close to the son of a count? You heard this among other whispers as you passed servants in the halls.
It was endearing, at first, to see a maid so attentive to her young master. Now, however, it made it look as if you were just a tad too ambitious. Could you be trying to raise your social status by seducing a young nobleman?
The entire idea scandalized you so much that you made an effort to shape up, acting more professional around Louis, who obviously notices you becoming more distant.
It’s difficult trying to maintain a proper relationship, between a servant and their master, with him. But you figured it was for the best, since he came of age and wouldn’t remain in the Rockwell estate forever.
This was inevitable, and you had resigned yourself to that…
Louis, however…
He isn't oblivious to the rumors, so he doesn’t blame you for becoming distant. However, he refuses to accept this. You’ve become someone precious to him.
So, he asks his brother for his advice…
Tumblr media
For reasons unknown to you, your life had become increasingly hostile at the Rockwell manor. Rumors followed you everywhere, along with disdainful looks. You noticed items of yours disappearing. Pins were stuck in your uniform and broken glass in your shoes.
Who would do such a thing?
Your only solace was Louis, who remained loyal even in the wake of your distant behavior towards him. He comforted you as you confessed all that happened.
Ultimately, it all culminates in someone - you only saw a shadow - pushing you down the large staircase, causing you to break a leg. The one who found you lying at the base in a heap was Louis…
Carrying you to the servant’s quarters, Louis softly proposes something to you.
Albert has purchased a house, in the quiet town of Durham. Somewhat old, but furnished. He and his brothers were to move there soon.
As he bandages your leg, he asks for you to come with him. He can’t bear to see you suffer here any longer. There won’t be too much work, his brothers and he weren’t demanding. There was always a place for you.
As you tear up and hug him, for the first time in a while, Louis smiles to himself.

Hello! Here is data on point of view distribution across characters in The Dreamer Trilogy (which I will abbreviate as TD3) as a follow up to my TRC data from last year (viewable here). A rather long-winded discussion of the data, methods notes, and some supplemental figures and tables are under the cut. As it was not possible to include all values and stats in this post (nor in the alt text for image IDs), my spreadsheet can be viewed by clicking here,
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This project quantifies and visualizes the distribution of chapters and pages in the books of TD3 across characters from whose POVs the story is told. I didn’t have much of a hypothesis going into data collection/analysis, especially not like I did for the TRC data, but I did expect to see Ronan’s POV having the most chapters and pages for the entire series, given the fact that he is the most central of the protagonists. I don’t think page time is the be-all-end-all for a character’s importance, of course, but it is still interesting to consider how spending more time from certain perspectives affects the perceived narrative. I won’t get much into that aspect of analysis in this post, but if anybody would actually like to discuss that, I’d love to!
Results (and Interpretation):
TD3 consists of 173 chapters and 1184 pages (using the U.S. hardcover editions), making the average chapter 6.84 pages. The longest chapter is 16 pages, and the shortest is 1 page.
Figure 1A: The average chapter in Mister Impossible (MI) is considerably longer (9.26 pages) than the average chapter in Call Down the Hawk (CDTH) (6.00 pages) and in Greywaren (GW) (6.40 pages), which makes sense as MI has just 38 chapters while CDTH has 80 and GW has 55 (see Fig. 2). To me, the effect of the longer chapters (and therefore extended time with the current POV character) makes the various POVs feel more temporally distant from one another- not in a narratively incoherent way, but in a way that echoes the sense of isolation experienced by dreamers and weaponized by Bryde as he tries to convince Ronan and Hennessy to abandon their loved ones.
Figure 1B: Chapter length is fairly consistent amongst POVs across the series. Matthew has the longest average chapter length (8.40 page) over a small set of chapters (5 total)- his character development (as told from his own POV) is limited to a small number of instances, which may have stretched his chapters a bit longer. The 'Other' category has the shortest average chapter length (5.13 pages) (Fig. 1B); it includes the typically short chapters from witnesses of Visionary explosions/aftermath (Mags, Dabney) as well as Nathan's manifesto excerpts. (As a side note, I've described the chapters depicting memories from the Barns as 'Mór and Niall.' These chapters do not collectively portray an equal balance of their POVs, but this was the simplest way to categorize them.)
Figure 2A-B: These graphs are representations of chapter distribution across POVs in TD3 in terms of chapter count (2A) and proportion of total chapters (2B). Some observed trends include Declan's proportion of total chapters remaining quite constant throughout the series, Ronan's decreasing, Hennessy's proportion of chapters nearly doubling from CDTH to MI (and staying at a similar proportion to MI in GW), and Jordan's proportion following an opposite trend (consistent proportion in CDTH and MI, followed by a more than 50% drop in GW). Carmen's proportion of chapters also declines after CDTH.
Figure 2C: This graph compares total chapters per character POV over the entire series. We can see that the largest proportion of the series is told from Ronan's POV (53 chapters, or 0.306 of all chapters). To put that in perspective, Hennessy has the next highest number of chapters (26, or 0.150 of all chapters), which is just under half the number of Ronan's. If all characters had an equal number of chapters from their POV (including the miscellaneous POVs as one category labeled Other), they would each have 21.6 chapters, represented by the horizontal dashed line; Declan, Jordan, Carmen, and Hennessy all have chapter counts relatively close to this number.
Figure 2D-E: These are representations of page distribution across POVs in TD3 in terms of page count (2D) and proportion of total pages (2E). Trends are similar to those depicted in 2A-B, but 2E does make Declan's increased proportion of page time in GW salient.
Figure 2F: This graph compares total pages per character POV over the entire series. The dashed line shows that if each character (plus the Other category) had equal page time in the series, readers would spend 148 pages with each POV. Again, page data is similar to chapter data, but comparing graphs 2C and 2F gives a clear visual indicator that Jordan's chapters (on average, 8.11 pages) are longer than Carmen's (on average, 6.08 pages), since Carmen has visibly more chapters in 2C yet nearly the same number of pages as Jordan in 2F.
Figure 3: Figure 3 shows distribution of chapters (3A-B) and pages (3C-D) in CDTH, as well as average chapter length for each character POV (3E). An equal distribution of chapters would have been 13.3 per character, and an equal distribution of pages would have been 80.0 per character. The 'Other' category included chapters from the perspectives of Lock, Breck Myrtle, Shawna Wells, Jason Morgenthaler (and Lin Draper, briefly, in the same chapter), Mags Harmonhouse, and Dabney Pitts. Carmen's average chapter length in CDTH (4.67 pages) is the lowest single-book average for character POVs appearing throughout the entire series. (Nathan's average chapter length is just 1.00 [Supplemental Figure 2], yet his POV only appears in GW via his manifesto excerpts, and while I have attributed these chapters to his POV, I interpret the POV as actually ambiguous. As with Kavinsky's text in TDT, it's not absolutely certain if we are reading from the writer or the reader's perspective [although in TDT, due to the lack of Kavinsky POV elsewhere, it's probably the latter]).
Figure 4: Figure 4 shows distribution of chapters (4A-B) and pages (4C-D) in MI, as well as average chapter length for each character POV (4E). An equal distribution of chapters would have been 5.43 per character, and an equal distribution of pages would have been 50.3 per character. The 'Other' category included two chapters, both with what I deemed omniscient narration. Declan had the shortest chapters in MI (8.20 pages), and Jordan had the longest (11.4 pages, the longest average for a character for a single book in this series).
Figure 5: Figure 5 shows distribution of chapters (4A-B) and pages (4C-D) in GW, as well as average chapter length for each character POV (4E). An equal distribution of chapters would have been 6.88 per character, and an equal distribution of pages would have been 44.0 per character. The 'Other' category included Nathan's manifesto excerpts (3 chapters), 1 chapter from Liliana's POV, and 3 other chapters with omniscient narration. While Ronan never has the longest chapters, his chapters are shorter relative to other POVs in Greywaren, perhaps as a result of the way his chapters are written during his time asleep/in the sweetmetal sea. I have not yet investigated whether chapters tend to be longer while characters are awake vs asleep or dreaming, but that's something that could be measured from the existing data in the spreadsheet! There is also a dramatic drop in Jordan's POV time in GW compared to the previous two books, perhaps because of her increased divergence from Hennessy and desire to establish a life that follows her own narrative.
Other findings: A major difference I noted between TRC and TD3 was the lack of split chapters in TD3. In TRC, the data analysis was made slightly complicated by having to account for the fact that a non-negligible number of chapters would make a distinct and discrete switch between POVs partway through. While I did not observe this in TD3, I did encounter more ambiguous/nebulous POVs as I previously mentioned. The increased presence of omniscience in the trilogy, for me, contributed to the increased sense of scale and stakes compared to TRC. This increased continuity amongst POV (not amongst core/recurring POV characters, but amongst groups of characters/communities depicted in the omnisciently narrated chapters) also contributed to a sense of dissolution of barriers and identities, perhaps thematically in line with Ronan's character development and increasingly holistic perspective of both his humanity and otherworldliness (although Ronan is not necessarily featured in these 'boundary-breaking' chapters). I also briefly looked at occurrences of back-to-back chapters from the same POV; this happens most frequently for Ronan in all three books, mainly in CDTH, and sometimes featuring a dreaming chapter directly before an awake chapter (or vice versa) in immediate succession. Declan (MI), Carmen (CDTH), and Jordan (CDTH) all have a pair of back-to-back chapters at some point in the series; Hennessy has 2 (MI, GW).
Conclusions: In all honesty, despite this project being quite fun and fulfilling and of course, worth doing, I do not think I have any particularly insightful conclusions about the data beyond what I've already discussed. Ronan took up the largest share of the chapters and pages as expected, although I am not sure I expected this to be true by such a large margin. I also was surprised that Declan did not have more chapter/page time, but it is possible that his notable inclusion in chapters from other characters' POVs increases his prominence in the series (and I suppose this is probably true for all characters who frequently appear in chapters outside their perspective). As with TRC, the number of POVs expands as the series develops, often with the effect of increasing the scope of the story's implications, and perhaps, more importantly, showing the story from additional angles that contextualize and/or distort narrative established by other characters' perspectives. I hope you've enjoyed exploring the data as I have, and those interested in my methodology may continue reading below!
Methods:
Data collection was straightforward in the sense that I simply counted the pages in each chapter and then assigned each chapter to a character based on the POV represented. The POV character assignment was more difficult than it was for TRC, as TD3 has more omnisciently narrated chapters, which in itself is easy to categorize, but they often zoom in on or are 'biased' towards the experience of a particular character, so I had to make some decisions as to what, for me, constituted sufficient focus on a character’s internal narration and expression vs. omniscience. In the spreadsheet, I took notes on these more subjectively driven decisions. Again, you can view it here! It also contains data on whether the chapter is from an awake or dreaming POV, and has the first lines of each chapter, among which are some fun repeating patterns.
For bar graphs with dots, each dot represents a single chapter. You may also notice that the graphs are missing p-values from statistical tests this time around! This is because, since completing the TRC data, I’ve realized that such measures of uncertainty re: significant differences are not appropriate for my dataset, which is not a sample representing a population, but rather a complete group of chapters (so parametric tests are not necessarily helpful or valid). However, I still like to run the tests for my own amusement and to see what the results would be if this were a dataset for which ANOVA and contingency tests were appropriate, so I have standard deviation bars on the graphs where calculable (but no standard deviations in the text of the results section for legibility) as well as the p-values in tables at the end of this post for anyone also curious. I did still calculate the numbers of chapters and pages that would represent an equal distribution across POV characters, which are represented by the dashed lines on the relevant figures. I think this is helpful to visually gauge 'over-representation' and 'under-representation' of character POVs.
Below are the supplemental figures showing all character POVs rather than lumping some together in an 'other' category. The MI data in figure 4 is not expanded below because the chapters designated as 'other' were omniscient and thus would have remained in the same category.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally, here are the omitted p-values, if you'd like to pretend along with me that all the chapters in TD3 are not a complete set but rather a representative sample of a greater population of chapters that's out there in the universe. :) When I give a p-value below the 0.05 threshold but still write 'no significant differences amongst any combination of characters, I mean that the p-values generated for the comparisons between each possible pair of characters were all above 0.05, which are distinct from the overall p-value generated from the ANOVA.

✰ . this is just pure fluff because i love xiao so much he is my everything and i would die for him, gn!reader and gn pronouns used
a/n: this is inspired by this really amazing xiao fluff I just read, written by @/the-traveling-witch(linked). ALSO!! thank u guys lots for all of the notes on my dan heng fic I'm literally blushing <3
this is NOT proof read i am too damn tired😭
you and xiao had been pretty close for quite some time now, and had both fallen pretty hard for each other, despite each of you being completely oblivious to the other's feelings. xiao had no idea how you managed to crack the icy and distant walls he had so carefully built around himself or why he even let you do that, but he was grateful nonetheless.
Tumblr media
today, you both sat atop mt. aocang, chatting about various small topics over dinner, and unbeknownst to you, he swore to himself that you would know just how deeply he felt for you before you both parted ways for the day. as he spoke, you couldn't help but acknowledge the way a soft smile graced his lips every so often and the hypnotic softness of his voice that you swear you could fall asleep to. not only that, but you appreciated just how ethereal he looked. the sun setting shone directly on his back, creating an almost angelic aura around him that perfectly complimented his glowing amber eyes. his hair swayed in perfect rhythm with the wind, and occasionally his bangs would connect at the ends, creating a perfect heart only for a moment.
xiao, on the other hand, was admiring how the sun's rays were cast on you, highlighting every nook and cranny of your perfect face. being around you spawned a feeling of warmth that tugged at his heartstrings in all the right ways-- something that he was very unaccustomed to. he would listen to your endless stories about your adventures in liyue harbor for the rest of his life if he could, never getting bored of the interesting things and people you came across. "ah, so you enjoyed your time in the recent lantern rite festival as well," he said as you finished up the story you were telling.
your eyes then lit up, as if you had remembered something important. "speaking of the lantern rite festival.. xiao, do you remember the first time we met?" you regarded him with a soft, expectant smile as you waited for his response.

how could he not remember? that fateful day, meeting you, was the moment everything changed for him. because you, a shining light, were cast directly into his life that was once plagued with shadows.
it was the day of the lantern rite festival two years back from today, and the only day that xiao could take a break from his duties as protector of his beloved city, liyue. he saw no point in the meaningless tradition of releasing thousands of lanterns into the sky every year, but he'd watch them every year regardless as a tribute to his fallen comrades who once loved the lanterns.
he was making his way over to mt. tianheng because it sat directly over liyue harbor, and he could see the entire city from that spot, including every light that flew into the sky, while he could also watch out for any potential danger. nearing the area he usually sat, his eyes landed on you, sitting in the very spot that he usually did. you didn't seem like a threat, but he still neared with caution. "how come you aren't in the city, mortal?"
upon hearing his voice, you turned to face him and smiled upon seeing his face, holding up a painting of the view before you two so he could see it. "well the view seemed nice, so why not paint it!" you exclaimed. you didn't recognize him as the protector of liyue since you were clearly not from the area, as shown by the fontaine attire you wore. you patted the spot next to you, beckoning him to sit. "and you are?"
he sat down next to you, eyes scanning the painting in your hands. "i am known as adeptus xiao, protector of liyue," he said, pausing before he continued, "your painting is very well crafted. it captures the scene before us wonderfully." hearing his words, you respond with a smile before gently setting your painting down on the grass before you. "I'm actually finished with this painting so.." you trailed off, pulling an empty canvas and a few more colors out of your bag. "can i paint you? if you don't mind, of course."
xiao was seemingly caught off guard by your quest, his initial thought being to refuse. but, he thought it over and decided that no harm could come from a simple painting. he responded with a curt nod. "sure.. go ahead. i suppose it wouldn't hurt." you grinned, already beginning to paint, "great!"
for the rest of the night, you both watched the lights together while you painted him, simultaneously getting to know him by occasionally starting small talk.
Tumblr media
he nodded, regarding you with a gentle smile. "yes, of course i do," he said. to that, you smiled. "so, i was thinking.." you started to say before trailing off. he tilted his head to the side, saying nothing and waiting for you to continue.
lost in your thoughts, you snapped out of it when you realized he was waiting for you to say what you were thinking. "we should see the lanterns at the same spot again this year!" you exclaimed.a soft smile graced his lips again. the thought of spending this night watching the lanterns with you granted him a feeling of peace. "I agree, that's a wonderful idea," he said.
with a grin, you stood up, packing your things in a hurry before grabbing his hand and pulling him out of his seat as you began to walk. "glad we're on the same page," you said with a soft laugh. "if we leave now, we'll make it just before the lanterns are released!" the feeling of your hand interlocked with his sent a burning feeling straight to his face, which he prayed wouldn't be made visible by a rosy hue on his cheeks. he suddenly began to wonder why you didn't just ask him to teleport you both, but didn't question it and followed alongside you anyway.
after walking quite a distance, you both finally made it to mt. tianheng, and stood in the very spot that connected you both some time ago. upon arriving, the once-setting sun had now reached its full descent, and now the moon and the stars had graced the sky with their presence. you let go of xiao's hand when you stopped walking, which left a strange feeling of absence within him.
he looked out into the stars absentmindedly while you set down your things, thinking of just what to say to you. noticing his silence, you turned to face him, but to your surprise, he was already facing you. you were going to speak, but he interrupted. "hey, can I tell you something?" he said, soft-spoken with a hint of unsureness in his voice.
you regarded him with a soft smile and nodded. "of course, xiao! you can tell me anything." his heart fluttered, and with a deep breath, he began.
"honestly, i'm not exactly sure how to put this into words correctly, but.." he trailed off and paused for a moment before speaking again as he regained his train of thought. "y/n, from the moment we met, you brought the feeling of happiness back into my life, that of which I wasn't sure i'd ever feel again." he grabbed your hand and gave it a gentle squeeze before continuing, his fingers intertwined with yours.
"even thinking of you makes my karma feel lighter, and I guess what I'm trying to say is.." in the corner of his eye, he could see a blink of light, and another, and another. one by one, the lanterns flew into the air, gradually painting the sky with bright oranges and reds, as if the stars themselves had come closer just for this moment. without thinking, he placed a gentle hand on the back of your head, resting it in your hair as he leaned in closer. before you knew it, your lips met in a passionate kiss that conveyed his feelings better than his words could.
initially, your eyes widened in shock at the sudden contact, but they fluttered closed as he detangled his hand from yours and placed it on your waist, pulling you closer. his other hand moved from your hair and rested on your cheek, lightly caressing your soft skin with his thumb.
pulling away, your soft breaths mingled with his, the light from the lanterns perfectly illuminating your face while complementing the hues of red that painted your cheeks as he stared lovingly into your eyes.
"i love you," he whispered.

Bored, Eun-hyuk walks through the corridors of the green building, looking at how the residents are getting along with each other. He carries an imperceptible smile on his face from the little memory of his sister proposing between the lines to Hyun-su.
Crossing the hall, his eyes fall directly on her figure sitting absently. Beautiful. He couldn't help thinking. He watches as he crosses his arms, attentive to her details. The pencil in her hand, tracing perfect lines on the notebook in her lap, your foot tapping frantically to the music playing in your headphones and even the way you would unnoticedly tuck the lock of hair that fell across your face behind your ear.
For anyone this would be a cute or ordinary scene. But Eun-hyuk knew you. He loved you. Which of course guaranteed the fact that he knew you very well, and he knew something was wrong. You were nervous, anxious - worried to say the least. You always do that when you're worried, nervous or even scared. Art always called his attention and, from Eun-hyuk's point of view, he found an interesting way of escape. But still his worries did not diminish.
He really noticed how restless and distant you were for a while during the days. He is really distant because of his role as leader of the group, so it's common for 𝗵𝗶𝗺 not to see you. But strangely 𝘆𝗼𝘂 didn't go see him, which sincerely worried him, but he just thought you were thinking that you didn't want to bother him - which wasn't very unusual for you to think, as you always gave him space when needed.
He walks slowly and silently towards you. He watches intently as his fingers scratch the edge of the notebook nervously. Her head hangs down as she hums softly, wanting to concentrate on the music - anything but her problems.
Sitting down next to him, Eun-hyuk gently removes the headphones from his ears, which results in a slight fright on his part by the sudden act. You sigh as soon as you realize who it was and put on your face the widest smile you could manage - which wasn't particularly much.
"Oppa! How are you?" Through her eyes he could confirm with all certainty that something was not right. In response he just smiled, holding your hand, making you let go of the pencil, thus resting it on the notebook.
"how are you? I haven't heard from you lately, so I was worried."
"I'm fine, don't worry." lie. This was clearly a lie. You could even lie very well, but not when it comes to Eun-hyuk. His heart ached when he realized you weren't going to tell him anything, maybe to keep him from worrying.
"something happened, didn't it? You are restless. Besides listening to music, it's something you do when you're really nervous or sad. You can count, y/n. It's okay." You watch him with lost eyes, wondering if you should speak or not. Leaning back against the wall, you sigh as you stare at the ceiling above.
"it's something silly, Eun-hyuk."
"but it's still something. Tell me."
"It's just… today would be my test. The most important of the semester. The proof that I spent weeks studying because I wanted something for my future but, with all this monster business, I wonder if it even really has a future." you let out a sad laugh. You didn't want to tell because it seemed silly, but only you know what happened. a foreigner, who left her family behind to be able to make her proud and become the most studied in the family, being able to bring the life she wanted so much. Only you knew how hard you and your parents worked for you to be here today.
"I know it sounds silly but…I've been waiting for this since I was 14. I struggled, studied and even worked for it. Which in the end became nothing." a silent tear rolls down her cheek. "sorry…it's stupid, I know."
"No…it's not stupid." he guides you to sit between his legs, thus leaning on his chest. He cuddles in her arms while resting his chin on her head, not before leaving a seal in place. "I know it's important to you and I understand more than anyone what it's like to be forced to drop out of school for a bigger reason."
"but the worst of it is that I won't be able to keep our promise."
The promisse. He remembers clearly.
You were in your small apartment for an afternoon of study together. Eun-hyuk was sitting in her swivel chair while you were sitting on her bed, leaning against the wall. You let out a sigh, dropping the book onto the bed with a low grunt.
"Oppa! Why is studying so tiring?" he turns his chair towards her, looking into her eyes with a small smile. He adjusts his glasses as he gets up to sit beside her. You intertwine your hands, looking into his face in awe.
"want to know something? When all this studying, tests and simulations are over, I'm going to marry you." You said suddenly, making Eun-hyuk surprised.
"Marry?" he asks, a little desperate due to the impact of the fright.
"Of course you do, you silly! Or would you rather I marry some college freshman?"
"What? No no! Of course not… I agree to marry you."
"then…" you intertwine your pinkies, joining your thumbs together like a seal. "…it's a promise."
He loves that memory, but it grew sadder and sadder when he stopped to think about their predicament, how their futures were compromised. You bite your lower lip remembering every effort you made to finish college. It was all down the drain.
"Do not think like that. The world could go up in flames, but that's no reason to part with you. I love you. Of course it's hard but, at least for me, if we're together it's just something we'll get through. Together. No matter what happens."
You are silent, absorbing his words. You couldn't disagree, he was definitely your everything, and you couldn't let the situation stop you from thinking about a better future. He also knew that maybe things would never really get better, but he loves you. Very. And I wanted to get through it all with him.
"…Thank you, Eun-hyuk. I don't know how I would be without you. I love you so much and I want more than ever to be with you until the end."
"I love you too, so I'm going to make it happen. I will keep the promise, my love. Don't worry."

Blessed Heir of the Abyss (Abyssal Prince Childe x Reader)
Synopsis: After centuries of conflict, Teyvat and the Abyss are attempting to make peace with one another. To solidify new alliances and let go of past grudges, the Abyssal Prince Tartaglia will choose a spouse from the people above to rule over the Abyss with him.
That spouse happens to be you, an ordinary, Visionless citizen of Liyue.
Prologue: His Royal Highness
Next
Warnings: Mentions of panicking, Zhongli being protective, Childe doesn’t care about you in the beginning, Hu Tao cries, an Abyss Herald calls you “it” at one point, SLOW BURN
~ * ~ Once upon a time, a shining kingdom was constructed under the earth. Lit by starlight and shrouded in darkness, it became known as the Abyss, and was ruled by whoever the monsters favored. In an effort to end the eternal conflict, the Heir shall travel to the land above to witness the sea, and join hands with the sun. Liyue is beautiful today. You’ve never seen such a blue sky, nor such a brilliant sun- it beckons you outside for errands and chores, things you normally loathe to do but now you step outside with a smile, squinting happily up at the light. It’s the weekend- shopping day- and you’re looking for sunsettias and spices at the market. In the distance you can see Zhongli, a friend and family, and he lifts a hand in greeting before falling in step beside you. An ageless soul, the funeral parlor consultant always has a new story to amaze you with, and today is no exception as he weaves the tale of Azhdaha the Geovishap Lord as you walk the streets. Hu Tao’s waiting at the market, her perpetual grin only widening as she darts over and snags your hand, swinging it back and forth with a bubbling laugh. It draws a chuckle from you as well, and Zhongli smiles fondly at your antics with the young director. She practically drags you down the street, leaving Zhongli in the dust as she talks a mile a minute- rumors and gossip, gossip and rumors, there’s seemingly nothing that she doesn’t know or hasn’t heard of. “Sooo? Are you coming tonight?” She looks at you with an impish twinkle in her eye and you simply shrug. “Aw, come on! It’s not everyday I get to have a poetry battle with Xingqiu! Yanfei is the judge!” Hu Tao giggles in mischievous delight and eventually you can’t keep your own smile from blooming across your face, the parlor director’s joy contagious. Zhongli’s caught up to you by now, tapping lightly on Hu Tao’s hand clasped around your wrist with a stern look. “Director Hu, you’re going to injure them, pulling like that.” With a pout she releases you from her bruising grip and skips on ahead, you and Zhongli following close at her heels, a tender look shining in his golden eyes- ah, he adores the parlor director like a daughter, despite how he chastises her, and with one glance you know the sentiment is extended to you as well. You incline your head with a small smile, but it quickly fades when the oppressing sound of silence hits your ears, the streets backed up by people yet making no noise, no small talk about the weather or trade commerce or anything else that might catch their interest. The only sounds are frightened whispers, and you crane your neck in an attempt to see what’s going on, glancing at Hu Tao in confusion. Heavy footsteps, metallic and foreboding, march down the street, and immediately you feel goosebumps rise on the back of your neck as inhumanly tall figures come into view. An Abyssal entourage parts the crowd like a sea, the people of Liyue edging away in fear. The Lady Ningguang stands to the side, looking small and dainty compared to the height of Abyss Heralds and Lectors, and stares resolutely ahead, not daring to spare a single glance towards anyone but the distant horizon as a tense hush settles over the city. Hu Tao encircles your arm in a vice grip, scarlet eyes blown wide and Vision aglow, ready for battle despite her lack of a weapon while Zhongli holds a comforting hand to your back, normally calm demeanor betrayed by his stiff shoulders, as even he cannot feel safe when creatures from the Abyss are near. No one in Teyvat feels safe in the presence of the Abyss, despite the best efforts of the nations to set aside their differences after centuries of war. Even the late Geo Archon had returned, you’ve heard, having faked his death at the last Rite of Descension, and yet still relations remained tense or worse. You’ve heard that people used to go missing wherever the Abyss would begin creeping into Teyvat, and would crawl back out tainted and warped. You shiver, and Zhongli’s palm pushes against your spine in reassurance. From the midst of the monstrous ambassadors a young man emerges, strikingly human in comparison to the Lectors and Heralds who step aside and bow to him, surveying the gathered citizens with boredom. He’s certainly handsome, with copper-colored hair and fine clothing, but his brilliant blue eyes are so lightless and dim that it feels like you’re outside in the dead of night, not a moon or star in the sky. For a split second, his eyes lock onto yours, and you dig your nails into your palm. It’s like you’re staring at a corpse. An elegant hand extends from his richly-made cloak and points, at random, into the crowd. “That one.” Your blood turns to ice and your body goes rigid as Hu Tao lets out a horrified shriek, because he’s pointing at you. “No!” Zhongli steps forward, rage alight in his eyes and glaring furiously at the strange man, shoving you and Hu Tao behind him. His gaze snaps to Ningguang, “Lady Tianquan, what is the meaning of this?” But she doesn’t speak, merely averting her gaze towards the ground, shame finally showing through the cracks in her facade. A Herald approaches, surveying your shell-shocked figure with distaste but nodding anyway. “It’ll do,” With a single, swift motion the Abyss Herald snatches your wrist and pulls you away from Hu Tao, nearly dislocating your shoulder in the process when you struggle desperately against his grip. He brings you to stand beside the ginger-haired man, sharp claws leaving tears in the sleeves of your shirt. With a dry throat you gulp down your fear, trying to steady your shaking voice, “What do you want?” The mysterious man looks at you, eyes flat and lifeless, “You’re my spouse.” The world goes silent around you. “...What?” “My spouse. It’s part of the agreement,” he says, turning away. “Agreement…?” You twist your head to Ningguang, and she closes her eyes, as if to confirm what he said. You blink, mouth open in shock, and stumble backwards a few steps. Your vision begins to blur and swim, tension tightening in your chest and turning everything into vague smears of color as the concept of safety begins to slip through your fingers like sand. “No. I won’t allow it,” Zhongli’s deep voice cuts through your daze like a knife and brings you back to reality. He’s nearly snarling at the strangers, looking more enraged than you’ve ever seen him with his polearm already in hand. Hu Tao’s slightly behind him, torn between seeming annoyed or confused and settling on a middle ground of both, hands on her hips. A low, snakelike hiss rises in one of the Lector’s throats, “Show more respect to Prince Tartaglia, lest you desire to break the contract between Liyue and the Abyss.” Zhongli grits his teeth hard enough to crack, and you swear the tips of his hair glow bright gold, then he exhales slowly and crosses his arms, fury simmering just beneath the surface, “And why was this not discussed with the Harbor beforehand?” The Lector simply levels Zhongli with a chilly stare. “It’s His Royal Highness’s right.” And with that you’re pushed into a walk, the Abyss surrounding you as you trip over your own feet, ripping you away from your peaceful life, away from your little house with its sunlit rooms and vases on the windowsill, away from the city you were born and raised in. Away from friends and family; the people you love. You cast a silent, pleading glance towards the man- the Prince Tartaglia, begging for him to let you go. But he simply stares back at you, azure blue eyes blank and unfeeling, and involuntarily you shiver. He feels nothing towards you- not happiness, curiosity, disgust, hatred- nothing, and somehow that’s more frightening than if he did despise you. The Prince feels nothing towards you, because you’re just a pawn in a celestial game. Zhongli and Hu Tao can only watch in despair, paying no mind to the people in the streets beginning to resume their daily activities, simply grateful that it wasn’t them who was chosen. Ningguang steps closer, regret laced in her voice. “My Lord, I’m sorry-” “Don’t,” Zhongli says sharply, eyes flaring with hardened grief. “An apology means nothing.” And he’s right, for only he has seen what the Abyss does to people, corroding their sense of being and mind until they give in and become one with the starlit waves. “Zhongli…” Hu Tao looks up, scarlet eyes swimming with tears. “They’ll… they’ll be okay, right? I mean,” she lets out a humorless laugh, “I might be a funeral parlor director, but…” she shakes her head to clear it and scrubs her cheeks. “Director, I do not lie. For your own sake, perhaps that question should remain unanswered,” Zhongli lets out a sigh, giving the young director’s hat a few pats as she mourns the loss of her best friend. His own unease settles, hanging in the air like a sickly haze, the answer to Hu Tao’s question ringing clear despite his refusal. I don’t know.

"As if the city view held some answer." On visions, heartbeats through stone, and the Dusk Court.
I'm but a procrastinating engineering student so this is going to be a bit of a messy post/theory, but here we go.
HOFAS spoilers:
Others have probably already theorized about this, but we know that Bryce ended up giving back TT and handing the Starsword (Gwydion) to the acotar folks... could it be that the Gwydion is destined to be Elain's? Or used by Elain, perhaps in the revival of the Dusk court? After all, as @bright-side20 and others have pointed out we already know that she likely accessed TT's powers in acowar (stepping out of a shadow to kill Hybern; if I am not mistaken TT leaked a darkness that even Az was surprised to witness in HOFAS).
sidenote: if you are curious about the link between Avallen & the Dusk court, I encourage everyone to go read this theory/breakdown!
Could this also be why the fact that Elain returned TT (which was an obvious action) was emphasized in ACOFAS, where SJM said she planted seeds for future bookS? Cause I find it interesting that it is Mor of all people that hums pensively as she points out that Elain gave TT back to Azriel: does she know/sense something with that power of hers? Does Elain perhaps See something too, given that she supposedly moved away from it very assuredly? After all, Mor was the one to say that "there is a reason that Elain is seeing these things" (acowar).
ALSO... I believe it's been pointed out already that the heartbeat through the stone that elain famously heard in acowar could have been a literal "beating, vibrant heart locked away far beneath"; i.e. the heart of the Dusk court (hofas). I find it all the more interesting, then, that Gwydion is described to have its light like a heartbeat (paraphrased from hofas, I dont remember the exact quote).
After all, it is looking away from Lucien, towards the windows, that she tells him--or rather, appears to be telling him:
“When I sleep,” she murmured, “I can hear your heart beating through the stone.” She angled her head, as if the city view held some answer. “Can you hear mine?” “He wasn’t sure if she truly meant to address him, but he said, “No, lady. I cannot.”
I repeat:
as if the CITY VIEW held some answer.
What if it did? And what if that answer is found in Gwydion's light and/or the Dusk court's beating heart?
In fact, what else do we know happens (or happened in acowar at least) when she sleeps? Visions, most likely: before she gained the understanding she needed to free herself from the murky-realm she was trapped in (thanks to my man Az), she was lost in a dream-like state. And those dreams often including the trashing sea...
"I can see so very far now. All the way to the sea." Indeed, the sea beyond the Sydra was a distant sparkle. (...) “I can hear your heartbeat—if I listen carefully. I can hear her heartbeat, too.” (who is her? is she hearing her sisters' literal heartbeats, or someone/something else's?)
“I can hear the sea. Even at night. Even in my dreams. The crashing sea—and the screams of a bird made of fire.”
These quotes have been dissected countless times already, but what I'd really like to add to the conversation is that there is something interesting from a passage from HOFAS I referenced earlier:
“And in that moment, the mountain—the island—spoke to her. Alone. It was so alone—it had been waiting all this time. Cold and adrift in this trashing grey sea. If she could reach out, if she could open her heart to it it might sing again. Awaken. There was a beating, vibrant heart locked away, far beneath them. If she freed it, the land would rise from its slumber, and such wonders would spring again from its earth (…)”
I am about to make the mother of all reaches (call me delulu idc idc), but all this talk about Elain being “blooming spring” and “a promise of spring”… and here we have a slumbering, barren Island (not unlike the way she herself has been forgotten, has been lost in dreams) in the trashing sea (crashing sea, anyone?) which could spring anew.
Just to wrap this up, you cant tell me that this passage isn't extremely Elain "gentle-grower-of-life" Archeron coded:
Dusk, twilight—that’s what the island was in its long-buried heart, what her power bloom into, the lands rising with it. It was, as she said, as if the island had a soul that now blossomed under her care, nurtured by the court she built here.
-------
Voila :) Hopefully I didnt get things mixed up and this made at least a little bit of sense. Ok so done with my procrastination and now back to thermodynamics (send help)(please).
