#i don’t count s*mphogear because it’s one of those that tries to appeal to all demographics #and i censored both of those because i *really* don’t want this showing up in either tag #but yeah i love s*mphogear but i don’t count it like i wouldn’t count madoka if i had seen that #because they try too hard to appeal to boys as well #instead of just making a good enough shoujo that boys would want to watch that too #madoka’s obviously the worse offender because of urobuchi #they also don’t focus enough on the stuff that define mahou shoujo #though i can’t really speak for madoka since i can only talk about what i’ve seen secondhand #but it’s definitely the case with s*mphogear #anyway this rant is stupid #la mer’s transformation and finisher just made me happy because i was just thinking ‘fuck that’s so mahou shoujo’ #it’s flashy colorful and fun
