i think joe is just generally a Music Fan. he has the most eclectic music taste you've ever heard. he'll play classical and edm and hiphop and folk and heavy metal all in a row and give you genre whiplash but enjoy it all equally. in all seriousness tho i think he just loves that music is so accessible now (he wouldn't have been able to listen to this much for so long!! nicky bought him a walkman when they first became a thing and joe carried it with him pretty much everywhere for about a month until it was damaged during a mission). in their safehouses they have various different selections of cds/cassettes/vinyls depending on what kind of player they have. if not joe has a couple ipods dotted around. he just likes music a lot

that being said i think joe likes blends of folk/traditional music or instruments with modern technology + styles especially, because he likes hearing how music grows and develops and how the instruments and styles he's heard for centuries are built on and adapted. (personal favourite examples are release by afro celt sound system which is a neat blend of electronic/celtic/african music and it slaps, literally any mashrou' leila song but especially taxi, shum by go_a and stefania by kalush orchestra. additionally kai tangata by alien weaponry for the maori metal which barely qualifies as an example but its cool and i'm on a roll.) hes also a big queen fan

i cant come up with an actual list because it will be heavily skewed towards me specifically (as a general Music Enjoyer). but yeah joe and music is important to me. i also think he's a big fan of any kind of love songs even the sappiest most terrible one you've heard in your life. he thinks theyre neat

watching so much critical role and dimension 20 and the like has really got me thinking about the different accents displayed by npcs and pcs as well to a lesser extent and how theyre all p much european and north american ones

like it makes sense of course bc it white people doing impression of foreign accents is still a pretty common racist joke so there are a lot of accents where it'd be really easy to fuck up and sound pretty offensive but at the same time it feels strange that these giant worlds are populated solely by people who sound european/north american, like there are so many beautiful and varied accents throughout the world but the majority of the characters in these shows speak with a generic fantasy english accent

I don't know, it's a topic I'd be interested in seeing in depth discussions on by people that actually know what they're talking about, but idk if those discussions exist online somewhere already and if they do how to actually find them

me and my friends found a cemetary yesterday OwO tombstones were all from late 1700s to 1900s..... it was literally on the side of the road in a forest

last thursday when i was at this activity house place for mentally ill ppl, i expected to just sit there for one hour and read. at most i only expected to talk a bit with the the guy responsible for the youth group, but after 5 mins when he was in another room, a girl came in. and she started talking to me ㅠㅠ i managed quite well to keep up with the conversation and actually participate lol. when he came back and talked to her i just started reading. but i just felt like i just had to say smth, so i asked her to continue talk abt the fifth harmony fanfic she was telling me abt before the interruption. im so glad i could even do that, bc we talked for quite long. almost an hour.

she even asked me if we should switch numbers so i could tell her what i think abt that fanfic!! i like died inside bc i was both surprised that she wanted my number :o and anxious bc that means i need to be more social and that makes me anxious. anyway there was a few times when i felt kinda stupid and just rambled on without making any sense, but i feel like i managed to not come off too weird. i mean she asked for my number and you wouldn't do that if you were annoyed with someone... right?? anyway she was so nice and cool and i didn't realize this until after, but when we were talking i just forgot abt everyone else in the room. like i legit forgot that there were 3 other ppl there bc everything fell away. a bit scary tbh o_o

and, most importantly: in the japanese original, the von karmas do not have english/american names. they have japanese names. sure, "karuma" COULD have been an adaptation of a western name after moving to japan, but that's not made explicit anywhere, plus the whole sword thing in dgs (u know the one) heavily implies that theyre a japanese family

how totk really feels like botw but for the people who didnt like shiekah tech, its not a sequel, its botw again, but version of only sonau, its like a pokemon game that had two versions but one has weirdly incoherent story and acts like the other never existed jsut as a whole its like retreading the same points but worse, all shiekah tech that was so integral to the world and had such a long history just vanishing and no one caring about any of it like it never happened, HELL the titans were called divine beasts in english but i guess they werent divine or important enough to keep around LOL champions WHO and isntead a never before seen or even heard of race for that matter showing up and planting their ass in every place the shiekah were before, dare i say it feels weirdly manipulative, like either them or some outside force erasing every fact about the ancient shiekah and replace them with sonau stuff bc they are the hot new shit now

this is a point that just doesnt stop bothering me, how the shiekah tech seemed so carefully designed and integrated into botws world and story, its a difficult to keep balance after all, integrating high tech stuff into a medieval setting, but they made it work! and then totk comes around and throws a bunch modern day tech into it puts some vague greenish stone filter on its exterior and call that even better more ancient tech; why did they even bother to make pottery inspired laser shooting spider legged robots so well integrated when they throw a car and rockets into the next game without a thought and call it a day, what was the fucking point

it feels like someone was dead set on having a set of legos thrown into the game it had no place in, if you want players to build whatever they want make a building game instead!! especially if you are just gonna throw it in with seemingly no consideration how out of place it feels togehter with the fACT THAT YOU ALREADY HAD AND ANCIENT HIGH TECH CIVILIZATION WITH A VERY DISTINCT AESTHETIC THAT WAS ALREADY WELL INTEGRATED INTO THE WORLD YOU ARE PLANNING TO REUSE WITH ALOT OF MYSTERY AND UNKOWN STUFF ABOUT THEM TO EXPLORE FURTHER YOU COULD HAVE USED!! but i guess they just "didnt want to play with you anymore" and that so much so that they went out of their way to erase every trace of it, i dont think the words shiekah tech are ever used in the game, and the purah pad and her towers just drive me more isnane bc they are the same shit but called different and also much worse, liek the purah pad isnt some more developed shiekah stone, no its a glorified camera with a teleport function and thats it

(i know i said this before but i really cant stand how obsessed every single NPC is with sonau shit, you get told to your face every second line of dialog that they are so cool and are so mysterious that it just makes me annoyed of them even more, the game is obsessed with shoving them everywhere and telling you over and over you too should obsess over them, they werent weird like that about the shiekah stuff in botw?? the biggesst talking point in botw was calamity ganon ..... which makes sense and in totk its like ... gan is mentioned what, in a newspaper article??? once???and then not even by name i think???)

aside from that big point which will never let me go, its also just .. its not moving forward anything, it actively walks BACK the progress that was made in botw, call me dumb but i dont really count moving one step up in the social roles of each race as a character development (for the side characters like the champions desc- ahem SAGES) but mainly zelda ... god how dirty she was done, totk pretty explicitely makes her regress any development she made in botw aside from she likes link uwu and some people like her too, but also not enough to notice that that weird zelda being all evil and weird isnt her (INLCUDING THE CHAMP- SAGES WHO YOU ARE SUPPOSEDLY FRIENDS WITH??? you dont have to be a genius to pick up on that my god, were you all given the mc dumbo potion or what)

she gets put back to square one, back into the little itty bitty princessy maiden role forced upon her by her royal parentage, this time rauru edition, back into a white little dress, back into the scared puppy eyed teenager, back into a situation she cant handle, back into losing everyone around her (tho honestly botw made me care more about rhoam than totk did about rauru), back into being forced to do a big sacrifice- but worse actually

in botw she went to FIGHT AND HOLD GANON IN THE CASTLE SO LINK HAD TIME TO RECOVER AND IT WOULDNT DESTROY THE LAND!! and you are telling me in totk rauru takes up her botw role and she bascially killed herself to ... restore the mastersword.

......... she ... she did that only to be a glorified version of the stone pedestal in the forest. and then she gets returned to normal itty bitty girly no problem via magic sparkle beam at the end and

it really is just botw but worse, you even get yet another ghost king of hyrule to guide you around (rhoam did it better fight me ... we dont talk about the questionable choice to make himself darker skinned when posing as just some guy)

i honestly dont think i was ever truly taken aback by anythign that happened in botw, while in totk, the further i played, the more i had to fight with myself to keep the feeling of unease, disappointment and betrayal down

its such a god damn shame, totk should have stayed a DLC, i will forever mournfully dream of a game that explores more of the ancient shiekah, doesnt erase integral parts of the world, developes characters more instead of making them regress back and make them end up even less developed than at the start of the game, dives into buried secrets and mistakes of dark pages of history without giving into a weirldy nationalist(imperalisitc?) narrative and lets characters have some agency for once

if it werent for the yiga i might have actually considered refunding the game, just to be at peace with myself

I made something to store my notes and endings for the game I was able to find most of these on my own, except for how to acess true ending and 2 other notes. it took me a VERY long time of putting in names to see if there would be any reaction, i was really hoping setting the nickname to "love bug" would have a interaction considering how Milo doesnt like bugs. I noticed in the true ending that there was a red light flickering in the top, I tried clicking it and it did nothing, does it hold any significance? i think it could be morse code but im not too sure. Simply cannot overstate how much I love this game, ive replayed it many times so far, i never played a visual novel before except for john Doe. I also never used tumblr but decided to just say how much I love your game! this is a masterpiece, good job on the sounds and music throughout it all, also, sorry if there are any grammar mistakes, english isnt my mother tongue. Love from portugal!! :)

Whoa?? That’s amazing?? I’ve looked at this list a couple of times after receiving this ask and I’m still in shock and awe that there are a lot of you guys who are willing to put in the time and effort to make lists and charts for my game.

Love bug is actually such a cute nickname that I’ll probably add it to the update as an Easter egg. Milo does respond to some other bug nicknames like moth and firefly though that is mostly because they’re tied with some of the yandere vn Easter eggs that you can get if you rename Eris after a yandere in one of those games. Thinking in on this, I might add some more bug related names as Easter eggs (both good and bad) to the update if possible.

Oh, haha, I’m flattered you thought of Morse code for that but it’s likely a sketch that I might have accidentally put in the background that I didn’t hide since I tend to sketch out my drawings in bright red or blue. I’ll see if I can fix that mistake in the update.

I think it’s amazing that so many people made or started accounts on tumblr and itchio just to interact with me or say how much they like my game (right now Perfect Love is floating around on the main itchio game page which is insane to me considering there are probably like hundreds of thousands of games on there. It’s also really cool that so many people around the world are having fun playing my game!

Also I think it’s kind of funny when people are like Milo means dear and beloved it must be deliberate when in actuality it was a happy accident and I was trying to find a name that was similar to the word Chameleon.

I finally read again today, chapters 34-39 this time

Usually I read these books in german while on the bus but today I forgot my book, but fortunately, I had some time to go to the library and they had it, but only in english. And since I was sitting at a table with my phone, I was able to take notes live as I read, and I'd like to share those with you rather than doing what I usually do and trying to sum up all of my thoughts a few hours later

Chapter 35:

the fact that NO ONE in the summer court recognized Feyre is absolutely ridiculous, it really is like her accomplishments from the first just vanished, no wonder so many people recommend just skipping ahead to MAF i bet that would make the reading experience wayyyyy less frustrating

shes cursing herself from being so out of shape despite Cassian's 'lessons' and that reminds me, at the start of ACOMAF her internal monologue and other characters kept remarking on how thin and frail she had become and I dont think its come up since she started staying at the NC permanently, great mental health rep girlie

"I let instinct, no doubt granted from Rhys, guide me forward." Come onnnnnnnn, can Feyre not be cool on her own for one (1) moment

"Amarathan did not break that kindness [from before UTM]." no, but Rhys sure did

Once again, Feyre is horrified at her violating Tarquin's mind, rightfully so, and yet she continues to hang out with His Majesty, The King of Violating Minds

Rhys tells Feyre that she "thinks like an Illyrian", which is very strange to me given that Illyrian women are literally not allowed to do anything other than housework and Illyrian men are seemingly all violent misogynists whom Rhys hates

Chapter 36:

"I'd bet they wouldn't have handed over that book" but you didnt ask them though??? Like, they couldve just told Tarquin about their plans, he seems reasonable enough, even if Cresseida and Varian dont agree, he as high lord should be able to override their opinions easily and if that doesnt work out THEN you can go ahead and steal it. Sure, maybe they wouldve trippled security and/or thrown them out of the SC but that should hardly be an obstacle for The Most Powerful Highlord In The History Of Prythian and his eldritch girl best friend

Okay, so Rhysand did pack illyrian leathers for her which is nice, but still, I see no reason why Feyre had to wear dresses for this (and be okay with wearkng dresses when she absolutely wasnt at the start of ACOMAF) when the NC clearly has more feminine fashion involving pants

Theres lead in this vaguely medieval fantasy world?? And theyve had for like centuries?? That seems weird to me I'll have to look into that i think

Okay, so Feyre shapeshifted into Tarquin and she says that she didnt let any part of herself that wasnt Tarquin shine through while she opened the books locks, but those shapeshifting powers are Tamlin's though. That has some very interesting implications but tbh idk if I trust sjm to have thought about it that much

"I am summer; I am sea and sun and green things" that just sounds kinda silly, also I feel like it shouldve been "I am sea and sun and golden sand" given the beach vibes that the Summer Court has

Chapter 37:

note to self: lookup what Leshon Hakodesh is exactly bc theres no way its not some random mythological term that sjm is just dropping into her world [edit: its just the jewish term for 'the Holy Tongue', im not gonna question the implications of that any more than im gonna question the existence of Nyx as a minor goddess or something in this world]

Rhysand doesnt tells anyone jackshit and Cassian is ready to stab Amren if she dares go against him, why are these jokers friends again?

Chapter 38:

granted, its been a while since I read this book and my memory isnt the best, but why exactly does Rhysand need to keep the 'why' of their mission secret? wasnt their mission just to find the cauldron before Hybern does and prevent a war with prythian and the human world?? I guess maybe Rhys doesnt wanna reveal his secret goodness or whatever, but he couldve just had Feyre act as some kind of emissary to the rest of Prythian, like, just have her pretend this is information she found out by herself at the Night Court and have her relay it to the other courts, Feyre has saved them before they have no reason not to listen to her

"'I think Tarquin wanted to be my friend.'" question, is Tarquin/Rhys a thing? Obviously Rhys doesnt deserve Tarquin but idk, there could be something there I think. they have some nice aesthetic contrasts

why would Feyre say stuff like "mother above" when thats not a deity she believed in for most of her life? Like, I already talked about how Feyre clearly had the impulse to pray in ACOTAR she just didnt do it because the names of the mortal gods have been long forgotten, but idk, I feel like her starting to embrace fae religion warrants more exploration. and fae religion in general warrants more exploration tbh

Feyre, he made you steal from a man that has been nothing but kind to you for no reason and now theres a bounty on your heads!! And lets not forget that Rhys, Amren and Feyre are all highranking politicians in the night court, youre lucky the SC is too occupied with rebuilding itself to declare war on your asses

I keep saying this, its so infuriating how well Feyre and Rhysand already get along when theyve spent like, 2 or maybe 3 months if Im being very generous, worth of time together aside from their time UTM

Rhysand tattooing the symbol of the nightcourt onto both his knees because he "will bow for no one and nothing but his crown" is actually so funny, i wish he did more cringefail bullshit like that

I think out of all the inner circle relationships, I like Amren and Feyre the best so far and I absolutely do not believe that Cassian cares about Amren at all, much less sees her as family, that guy would kill her in a heartbeat if he could

forgive my aromanticness, but I really dont like the thing that Amren and Varian have going on, cant there be ONE character that doesnt have some stupid romance subplot in this world

Oh, so Mor telling Feyre very little of any specific plans they have is fine, but if someone from the spring court does it theyre the worst person ever

"[Cassian told me] that my family was full of bossy, know-it-all females" oh but hes sooooo much better than all those other illyrians who are all sexist brutes

Personally, I flat refuse to vote for anything non-English unless it's against something else non-English, even if it's something I recognize, like, and use, e.g. fremdschaemen. Comparing across languages just isn't interesting, and the faster it gets down to all English words, the more interesting the votes will be.

Huh, i find it the opposite! There's so many pretty and interesting words from other languages, and some of them use cool sounds English doesnt even have! I've learned about a lot of cool things from the other languages in this tournament, and I think it'd be a bit boring to just have English words. If you wanted only English words, you could make a different tournament for the best English word, but I'm accepting all languages, cause its interesting and fun for me! (and hopefully for a lot of you, too)
